OC-tober Day 20: Community Week (talk about a friend's OC/interactions between OCs)

A cat-nap in the sun with Izz and @rek 's character, Mint.

I really wanted to do art of them together for this week, I love their friendship so much. Mint is a tabaxi druid with self-esteem issues who's very scared and anxious much of the time, but much braver than he thinks. He shapeshifts into a human-sona named Mentha (it took me an embarrassingly long time to make the connection between the names) who is basically the person he wants to be.

The biggest moment in his friendship with Izz/Candor was sometime after Izz's identity had come out and they connected over understanding the desire to be someone else (amongst other things in that conversation, like Mint/Mentha (and another friend) showing a determination to help Izz and their sibling). Since then Izz had defaulted to a tabaxi version of themself when out and about, as a sign of their connection and to try to make Mint feel more comfortable. In a lot of ways their personal journeys are parallel, learning to accept who they are and growing into the people they want to be. They mean a lot to me ❤️

These were done by @rek . I especially love the Izz and Mint one; they really nailed Izz's reaction to a casual show of affection lol (has no idea what to do with it)

idk if i plan on drawing this but i solidly think that sokka’s an engineer (but i honestly like the idea of him being a firefighter too), zuko’s in either law or political science, and suki’s a judo instructor. toph is the hardest one i think it’d be cool if she was an mma fighter or like a welder who makes cool art pieces for visually impaired people

ive also thought about what aang and katara’s kids do 😭 like i think bumi dropped out of college and joined the military, kya’s a double major medicine and liberal arts, and tenzin’s into international relations and polisci and idk about lin but i think suyin would be a cool art director or museum curator for modern art

OC-tober Day 13: Memes

I have a whole folder of memes from Izz/Candor's game bc the players were a bunch of artists who loved making shitposts, but these were all the ones I did (plus an older one of Taldin). Some comments:

1. Depression does not begin to describe the level of unwellness that went into making Candor. How Candor came out being so incredibly well-adjusted and steady is one of the great mysteries of the universe.

2. When Izz first came out, they would have really rather have just gone back to mostly non-existing and let Candor be the person in this body. This one makes me laugh every time I look at it.

3. Lots of guys in there. And those guys are multifaceted.

4. Izz coming out was a bad time, and the bad times continued for a lot longer than 36 hours 🥲

5. I told you porcupine Taldin would be back.
