Ngl, this is actually very cute. This comes from the comedic MHA spin-off series “SMASH”. What I like about this is that Momo clearly admires Izuku and is genuinely curious as to why he’s so stressed out. When he hears his answer, it helps humanize him in her eyes, and not in a bad way. Her admitting that an insecure mind is troublesome is her relating to Izuku, and her being happy reads like a “you get me” sorta thing. She’s not alone in her struggles. I really wish we would’ve seen them interact more in the main series.

Background:

The afternoon sun shone down on the U.A. pool, reflecting golden glints in the crystal-clear water. The academy was calm, and only two figures broke the stillness of the place: Izuku and Momo.

After a tiring day of training, they had both decided to stay a little longer to relax. At first, Izuku was a bit clumsy in the water, but Momo, with her usual patience, tried to help him improve his floatation.

“Just relax, Midoriya-san,” she said with a smile as she gently held his arms to steady him.

Izuku nodded, though the light touch of Momo's hands made it hard to ignore. However, her laughter soon infected him, dispelling any nervousness.

What started as a simple swimming practice turned into an impromptu game. Splashes, underwater race attempts, and endurance challenges followed one another, until they both ended up laughing non-stop.

At one point, Izuku tried to dive in to scare her from below, but Momo, anticipating this, caught him just as he emerged, wrapping him in an impromptu hug.

“I got you!” she exclaimed amused, not letting go.

Izuku felt his heart race, but instead of pulling away, he let himself be carried away by laughter.

“That was cheating!” he protested between giggles.

“Strategy,” she corrected with a proud smile.

The sunset enveloped them in a warm light, and without realizing it, the laughter gave way to a comfortable silence as they floated in the water, simply enjoying the moment, without worries, without interruptions… just the two of them, sharing a special connection in the tranquility of the pool. Maybe something about Househusband Izumi becoming a teacher?

Izuku sighed as dramatically as he could. His wife, Momo, barely twitched.

“I’m bored,” he said out loud.

“I can tell,” Momo replied as she worked on her paperwork.

“Momo,” Izuku pouted as best he could.

“You know for a former villain turned househusband, you whine a lot,” she remarked. Mostly teasing, but also a little annoyed. Izuku tried not to wince. Oops.

“I’m sorry,” he said. He tried not to sound worried but with how Momo quickly looked up he didn’t think he succeeded.

“Izuku I’m not angry,” she said. Her voice was incredibly gentle as she got up to go and sit with him. He leaned into her, welcoming her warmth.

Momo had been the first person to not think he deserved all the hate he’d received from the moment he was declared Quirkless. Even his mother had thought he didn’t deserve the same things other kids did. But Momo thought he did.

She’d been the one to help him escape from the trap he’d found himself in after Toga Himiko had lured him to the League of Villains. He’d thought Himiko cared about him and perhaps she did in her own way, but she’d been as cruel as anyone else if a different flavour. Her kindness was sharp and she loved blood.

Especially when it came from her boyfriend.

Momo had managed to paint Izuku as an unwilling pawn of the League and forced to work for them. It wasn’t untrue given he had been somewhat an unwilling member. He’d just had more chances than people knew to ‘free himself’. The only good part of being Quirkless was that people had bought the idea he was unable to fight back.

Izuku had settled into being a househusband. He loved cooking for his wife, loved cleaning the house. But he was bored. He didn’t hate his life but… he was kind of used to doing more than what he was doing.

“Do you want a job?” Momo asked him.

“No. Yes? I don’t know. I don’t want to deal with people,” Izuku said, thinking of how a majority of Momo’s old classmates treated him as just a hanger on. Or how Kirishima outright said it was good Momo took pity on him (and how he didn’t understand why Izuku didn’t like Bakugou. Not until Izuku laid out exactly how he used to be treated by the blond. Even then Kirishima was still refusing to listen).

Or how people still saw his shoes first.

“Maybe… maybe you could do YouTube? I know some people find it adds enjoyment,” Momo suggested.

“And what do I do there?” Izuku asked.

“Maybe you teach people things? I mean how to get blood out of clothes.” Momo suggested. Izuku frowned.

Would that be something to stop making him bored?

Three months later, 6000 subscribers and a hundred videos later talking about the best way to get blood out of hero suits or how to properly season a cast iron pan or how to do on the spot analysis, Izuku was pleased to say it did.

Momo feeling shame that a rich beautiful girl like her, fell for a plain looking guy. (Even if she didn't feel shame, she may have had snotty upper class friends telling her that)

As well as not wanting a relationship because it may interfere with her Hero Career

Her parents having had high expectations for her to be a Hero, since they put in alot money for her to attend UA. They may have viewed a relationship with Izuku as a negative for her.

Can I ask with all sincerity here, why people think this ship would work? I'm not being a downer....I think anyone can be a better love interest than Ochako. Its just it's not the first time I heard someone saying how Momo could be a good fit for him.

She is rich, super rich. Her quirk is amazing. She sure has her struggles but what can she do about Izu feeling like a loser?

In the MHA game, she admire him a lot (in the gag manga, she seems to think he is cool) so here how I see...

I don't think a person feeling ashamed of liking someone else could work...especially as in media not owned by Hori...momo seems to admire him a lot. So...no shame, she admires him and is angry when she sees how is mistreated.

She may be a shelter and naive girl but she is not stupid.

In an au where Momo realizes Izu is hurting, she won't hide her feelings, instead, she makes an effort to help him

Meanwhile Ochako thinks Izu is plain.

Little Yoichi

Written for @femslash-february's trope of "Accidental Baby Acquisition" with Izumomo!

It was an accident.

One second, Creati had been pulling out a new bolo for Dekiru, and the next second, the world went white, someone cursed, and there was an unfamiliar weight in her arms.

When she blinked, she looked down and realized that she was holding a baby.

The curse had come from the direction of the villain. Her wife sat on them, holding them down with Blackwhip as she scrambled for the cuffs. "Momo!" she called when the cuffs were on, looking back. "Call the-"

Izumi's eyes went wide when she saw the baby.

Thankfully, the villain didn't struggle and the police were soon to arrive. With them came a healing hero, who thankfully took the baby from Momo's arms before she could drop them.

"Biologically, he's yours," she said, her hands faintly glowing as she passed her free hand over the baby cradled in the crook of her arm. Momo had several questions, but her concern outweighed her curiosity. Izumi was strangely silent, staring at the baby boy, now swaddled in a shock blanket, with wide green eyes. She hadn't even asked about the heroine's quirk. "I'm not sure how, however. This villain can create organic matter, but their quirk file only states non-living-"

"It was Trigger," Izumi said, without even an apology for the interruption. Momo's concern ticked further. "Her tongue was black."

The heroine nodded. "I see," she said before holding him out. "Well, he is yours. I would recommend getting him to a doctor or hospital so he can be registered. If you wish to keep him, you will have to fill out some paperwork."

Izumi didn't move, so Momo nodded and took the baby boy from the heroine. Her concern was growing louder and louder, but she kept it silent. "Thank you, Kindheart."

"Of course."

Izumi's silence stayed even as Momo called a car and they began the drive to the hospital.

She and her wife had talked about children, of course. Both of their parents wanted grandchildren, and both were fond of children. Both were worried about their jobs, however, and Izumi especially, thanks to Kouta. Momo wondered as the baby boy cooed if Izumi had decided she didn't want children.

...well, first she had to speak.

"Are you feeling alright?" she said, pressing her hand to Izumi's slightly scarred own. "You've been very-"

"He looks like Yoichi."

"Pardon-?"

Tears had began to roll down Izumi's cheeks. Momo pulled her hand away to grab one of the tissue boxes she had started keeping in the cars for this reason, holding it out. Izumi took it and dabbed at her eyes.

"I- he looks like Yoichi," she sniffled, staring at the baby. "Look at him."

Momo turned her head to look at the child. She had never met the vestiges that used to live in One for All, but she had heard a description of the one dubbed First. And...she could see it. The baby had white hair and bright green eyes that clearly took from Izumi's own. He looked like he was faintly smiling.

"Is that bad?" she asked.

Izumi shook her head. "No," she quietly gasped, reaching for another tissue. "No. I just- I haven't thought of them and...I suddenly started missing them."

Oh. It was grief.

"I'm...sorry," Momo wrapped her arm around Izumi's shoulders and pulled her wife closer, pressing a kiss to her head. "I know they would be happy for you."

Izumi nodded. "They would," she whispered, a faint smile forming as she reached out with a finger.

Little Yoichi reached back.

MHA Quirk Idea: Dragon of Gluttony/Gluttonous Dragon

When I can't think of a good blurb to write for a quirk or concept, I'll just make a smaller post describing an idea that I think would be cool. As said in my other post; feel free to use these ideas, just link whatever you make to me please!

I think this idea flows a little smoother if Ryukyu (the dragon heroine) is Izuku's aunt, because fire breath is basically a draconic quirk and I don't want this idea to be too much of an abstraction.

Inko's quirk is pretty lackluster on it's own, but when you combine it with Hisashi's it can make for a pretty good metaphor on gluttony; imagine, if you will, a fire that feeds itself by pulling fuel in. Dragon of Gluttony functions around that concept, Izuku sucking things in like kirby to serve as fuel for a set of classic draconic abilities (AKA basic stockpiling, strength and other physical stats included with fire breathing and maybe flight) I think it would be especially cool if it dragon of gluttony could eat anything, in a very broad sense of the word. If you're interested in shipping (which I am) I think this could make for a good Momo / Izuku, both 'foodies' with fuel quirks.
