This is for fellow autistic trans-masc.
I'm an autistic transmasc, and I dicovered transtape, which I prefer a lot more over traditional binders.
As an autistic, I have sensory issues, so I cannot wear your traditional binders.
So if you're also in need of a different kind of binder, I really recommend transtape.

BOYCOTT BWYA (be who you are) DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
I ordered transtape from their website and they sent me a dildo instead. They are extremely transphobic.

Hrshl's thoughts on BWYA
Customers service
The interactions I've had with them always went well. Once the post did shit with my address and they were fine to send the package again for free since it wasn't me who wrote the address badly.
They have connections with some stores that will not only sell binders but also let you try them.
Shipping
The price is normal considering their shipping methods.
They do have their logo on the paper, but other than that it's discreet. You can tell them if having "BWYA" on the package causes a problem in the "note" section before validating your order.
They can send your package to your house or to a relay point.
Quality
I bought a binder when they were starting and a seam was a bit off. Other than that it was perfectly fine and held well (it's still holding, but it lost most of it's elasticity due to use and wash)
I now buy their trans tape and I don't have any complaints about it.
Price
I feel like their prices are in the normal range.
The binders are around 40€ and the gaffs around 30€.
Note: 10/10

So I don’t know so much about this supposed “goth phase” for the Bucks but I did a real lazy search and what came up is just as fascinating. This first video is of a VERY young Nick in a backyard match. Theres not an exact date on this but it says 2001, meaning he was 12. And yes, that is indeed Matthew at the beginning in a ridiculous crop top. Matt was 16 here.
youtube
Here is another video of Matt aka Mr BWYA (backyard wrestling association) wrestling what looks like a 9 year old.

Anyway, I’ll keep lazily looking for any evidence of these “goth” phases but in the meantime, hope you enjoy!

Currently looking into transtape, considering giving it a go. I just really want to have an off-the-shoulder moment or wear something low-cut every now and then without my binder showing. Any of my fellow trans/enby/gnc followers have any experience with it? Should I give it a try?

Spectrum Binder Light Review
So Spectrum Outfitters came out with a new binder "light" for summer. I have 2 original Spectrum binders and they do bind very well but give me back pain after a few hours. So I wanted to try it.
It came after around a week. It was a very thin, synthetic material, with a thick almost sticky band (you know the sticky stuff they put at the top of stockings to prevent them from gliding down?).
I'm an XS size for the original binders, so I was supposed to be a XXS for the binder light. Despite following their sizing chart & measurements (different from the normal ones), it ended up being way too small. At first it would not pass over my shoulders and I struggled for a while.
When I finally got it on, it wasn't binding too well despite being very tight. I feel like if I had sized up, it wouldn't have binded at all. Maybe it's because of the "racerback" form which doesn't fit with my anatomy, as my GC2B racerback binder did not fit me at all either.
I sent it back to get a refund, and it happened pretty quickly. But I had to pay for the shipping back : 10€ original shipping + 18€ to get it back to the UK, to get a 40€ refund so I still lost a lot of money.
As a "less binding", "breathier", "lighter" binder, I still always wear my BWYA X-tra binder with custom swimsuit lining - it's definitely not as thin of a material, but it binds decently while being very comfortable (it's also my sports & swimsuit binder).
I'm pretty disappointed. I want to try a size up, but having paid that much to get it refunded, I don't know if I want to risk it again.
On a positive note, I also got their foam packer, and it's pretty neat. I went for a size 1 (smallest size) but I feel like there was an error somewhere, because it's like the size of my fist. I like it though.
I only saw 1 other review for the binder light and the person seemed to like it. Anyone else has tried it?

do you have any tips on shopping for binders?
try as many as you can in person before you decide on one!! the binder industry is understandably an internet-based one, but to me it should be treated as much as possible like shopping for a bra, trying on different sizes and types before settling on the one that fits you best and gives you a result you want. obviously it's easier said than done with binders, but you can ask your trans friends to try on their binders and where they got them from, and if there's a trans association in your city odds are they might have a binder-swapping program or something of sorts. i bought mine in person at the bwya paris location when i went to france, because a friend of mine had (and is still having) a horrible time trying to find a functional binder for him, and that inspired me to try mine on in person before committing to buying it. hope this helps!

Ive been reccommended BWYA in france also and they swwm to be equivalent in price to gc2b
Gc2b Binders No Longer Reputable
I've been away, so y'all may already be very aware of this, but I want to make sure it's stated on this blog because it's been The Brand for yeeeaaars: the quality of gc2b binders has been going downhill the past few years. People who bought from them prior and recently can attest to how poor the quality has become. The binders are just not the same. The material isn't comfortable and, more importantly, the fit just isn't good. People who've tried recent gc2b binders, even those who've been binding for years, are suffering from back and muscle pain, stiff shoulders, soreness, etc. regardless of fit. The material just doesn't seem to be suitable for binding anymore. It is also degrading really quickly and binders are wearing out in a matter of months. It is no longer worth it to buy from gc2b.
If you want some sources on this, check out the reviews here on trustpilot with people talking about this.
You'll want to keep your eye on brands that are still doing good work: Spectrum Outfitters (UK), For Them (seems to be a hate it or love it company; I know some who swear by them and others who feel they dont' really sell actual binders - just sports bras/lighter compression tops), Shapeshifters (good custom work and larger sizing), and Underworks (best budget brand).
