rewatching episode 7 bc i live and breathe pain, and couple things:

1. the way louis was described as this scary crazy black man hunting down the poor little white vampire is something to say the least. i also have a very vague memory of my middle school teacher telling us about how as a punishment for runaway slaves they’d get their achilles tendons slashed (plz don’t quote me on this i’m not sure of its historical accuracy i just remember her saying it) which again… very much something. and the little show that the coven put on in the background was giving minstrel show vibes but i might just be reading a bit too much into that (i don’t think i am but you tell me).

2. this is a question. so according to armand’s version of events sam was holding him hostage in his little baby box bc sam is evidently the scariest and most powerful vampire ever. but then sam is also one of the coven members who forces louis inside the coffin. so was sam in two places at the same time or am i missing something? or am i just slow and didn’t see him move away from armand?

So is the implication in IWTV that Sam the Vampire was secretly the actual playwrite Samuel Beckett and went on to do that after the theatre burned down, or that Armand was so busy being gay that he didnt realize Sam had partly ripped off at the time brand new play Waiting for Godot and made it about being a vampire as part ot the obsfucation plan
