i think it’s funny when people write fics that reference even the most mundane pop culture things, especially when the world is supposed to be “different” because. do you know how much of the world would have to be exactly the same as it is now in order for those things to happen. ESPECIALLY with music. like for example when voltron authors make keith an mcr fan, like i agree and that’s correct but also then i can’t stop thinking about how 9/11 absolutely happened in that universe. do we need to traumatize gerard way in every universe to give our characters good music taste?

I can relate to this. My childhood friend had a dog named daisy that had some man-related trauma and thus hated men, but she loved me, despite me at the time believing that I was a cis boy. Guess who’s a girl several years later.

RIP daisy you were the first person to see me for who i really am.

It is funny. Recently I had a transphobe argue to me, that "well, it is all made up! Animals will still not know that you identify as a man". Which to me is so funny, because while there has never been extensive research done on this topic, there is a lot of anecdotal evidence showing the exact opposite.

As someone who has done a lot of work with animals, I can tell you, that those animals that for one reason or another like one gender more or less than another often show the same loving or hostile behavior towards people completely depending on the gender the people actually identifies as.

"Sure," some people might say, "because if you take hormons you gonna smell like the gender to an animal." But that is the funny part. Animals often act according to that with trans adults who are still in egg mode. Who have not come out yet. And nobody knows why and how they can tell.

But some of the harsher animals with a "gender preference in humans" are like the best trans indicators. You have not admitted to yourself you are a guy? Yeah, this cat is gonna hate you anyways. Because this cat hates men.

The game UFO 50 by developer Mossmouth came out, it’s like a retro-inspired game compilation thing. Basically a bunch of devs who know the guy who made spelunky got together to make a bunch of games for a fictional game system that was supposed to be like, a competitor to the NES, and they made a buncha games that sorta simulate a history of this fictional game system.

There’s 50 games in all, as a huge fan of retro inspired indie games i felt like I wanted to write my thoughts on the game as a little writing exercise. Hope my followers think it’s neat.

I have two cishet (supposedly anyways) male friends who got married immediately out of high school because if you join the military and you’re married, the government will pay for housing for you and your spouse.

I love them and want to see an entire comedy film about their predicament.
