"absolutely." ivy confirms with a firm nod, her eyes unable to leave her gorgeous friend alone. not that she's doing it intentionally â jenny truly does look jaw-dropping in the outfits ivy has helped her choose. "there's always enough space for more dresses." she hums, her usual refrain when the question of whether to buy another dress arises. "it has." ivy beams, her heart fluttering as jenny pulls her close, close enough for ivy to catch the alluring scent of her perfume and have it linger on her mind for days. "don't let elijah hear that... he might get jealous." she chuckles, knowing full well that she's much more fun to be around than her brother.

Pure Feeling Playlist
Okay, so I had someone on twitter express interest in the songs I have for my playlist for Pure Feeling and figured, yeah, I could share it. I donât have a spotify (I donât like the interface plus the music selection is way too limited for my taste) and the playlist itself is on Youtube Music. Itâs also private because I donât really want random people seeing it or other people messing with it if I unlocked it, so Iâll just type up all the songs here with links that way yâall can scroll through and listen to what you want.
I understand thereâs probably an easier and faster way to do this probably, but hey, with the quarantine I clearly have some extra time on my hands so why not?
Though, couple of warnings:
1. Itâs LOOOOOOONG (itâs 300+ songs in total) (donât worry Iâm gonna put this under a cut)
2. Some of the songs arenât going to make much sense in terms of the AU. This is for two reasons: a) Some of the songs allude to events/characters that havenât shown up in the story yet (thereâs a LOT of songs regarding Maraâs father) and b) some of them are just general songs that I use to get a basis of emotion/vibe when writing particular types of scenes.
3. My music tastes are all over the place (and this doesnât even include some of the other genres I listen to just because it doesnât fit this AU lol)
But this playlist is my main muse and is probably one of the best insights to my process/inner thoughts so, without further ado.....my full playlist.
(I grouped the songs from the same artist together for the easiest convenience)
(And some songs might kind of be repeats if I listen to multiple versions for the purpose of this fic)
Got any favorites? Any songs that worry you about the future of this fic? Or just something you might want more clarification on? Feel free to shoot me ask about it!

Jorgeđ
Hola...
đLove Will Remember-Selena GĂłmez
đDiganle--Becky G
đ11:11--Kenia Os.
đDueles-- Jessy & Joe
đQue hay detras- RBD
đLost on You -- LP (me mataba)
đThe heart wants what it wants- Selena gomez
PD2: No te sientas obligado a contestar

My Favorite Songs of 2019
2019 was a fantastic year for music, but then again every year is. We as listeners have been blessed with abundance, and tasked with the delightful work of sifting through freshwater to find gold. This year, the most reliably golden genres were West African pop and West Coast Rap. Go figure.
The following represents my favorite 100 songs of the year. My only rules: 1) one song per lead artist (a lucky few earned multiple placements through the âfeatured artistâ loophole).
Below are the write-ups (everyoneâs favorite part) and stay tuned for my albums list, coming next week. Donât forget to scroll all the way down for a Spotify playlist of the full list!
25. Desperate Journalist - âSatelliteâ - A sweeping, emotional rock song by a veteran rock band that can uncork one of these in their sleep. What makes this one special? The dynamic changes in the pre-chorus, the soaring guitar solo, and the passionate performance from lead singer Jo Bevan.
24. Jacques Greene - âStarsâ - A brilliant bit of ambient techno that evokes the seminal electronic classic âLittle Fluffy Clouds,â by The Orb. Instead of desert clouds, the anonymous female narrator describes a pastoral dream about the night skies of her youth. A transporting piece of music that shouldâve been twice as long--five minutes is a cruelly short lifespan for this kind of bliss.
23. RosalĂa - âCon Alturaâ ft. J Balvin - After the brilliant and singular El Mal Querer demonstrated RosalĂaâs singular talent, âCon Alturaâ announced her intentions for worldwide domination. Created with frequent RosalĂa collaborator El Guincho and chameleonic superstar J Balvin, âCon Alturaâ contains two of the yearâs most insidious hooks--the soft-spoken call-and-response chorus, and RosalĂaâs snake-charming bridge, the strongest indication yet that global stardom wonât stop the Catalonian chanteuse from pushing music forward.
22. Faye Webster - âRoom Temperatureâ â 2019âs answer to âSwinginâ Party,â the Replacementsâ great anthem for introverts, the introductory track on Websterâs Atlanta Millionaireâs Club album drifts along with Hawaiian-flavored pedal steel and a palpable sense of regret, as the 21-year-old singer longs to escape her perfectly comfortable surroundings. 21. Yhung T.O. - âLatelyâ ft. Lil Sheik - Easy, breezy, beautiful Bay Area rap, carried by T.O.âs dulcet tones and Sheikâs unrepentant dirtbaggery. The beat by Armani Depaul is one of my favorite retro-facing rap beats in a while, complete with smooth digital strings and security-pad synths. 20. The New Pornographers - âYouâll Need a New Backseat Driverâ - Every five years or so, A.C. Newman writes a melody so strong that it requires Neko Caseâs ultra-powerful alto to properly do it justice. This year, that song is âYouâll Need a New Backseat Driver,â which strives for, and nearly approaches, the heights of previous Pornos stunners like âThe Laws Have Changedâ and âChampions of Red Wine.âÂ
19. Floating Points - âLesAlpxâ - Surrounded by outrĂ© synth experiments and beatless soundscapes on Crush, the first Floating Points album since 2015, âLesAlpxâ is Sam Shepherdâs gift to club-goers everywhere. Itâs a lean and mean house track, foregrounding propulsive percussion and rubbery bass, but itâs also deeply cerebral, creating a sense of foreboding urgency with detuned synths and ambient sine waves. 18. Daphni - âSizzlingâ ft. Paradise - Built around a sample of Paradiseâs seminal single âSizzlinâ Hot,â Dan Snaithâs âSizzlingâ extends the best moments of the classic post-disco smash to create five minutes of pure euphoria. The song starts in media res, with the groove in full form, and peaks at the end, when Snaith finally allows Paradiseâs June Ventzos to finish her thought atop jubilant trumpets. 17. J Hus - âMust Beâ - The latest genre-blending collaboration between J Hus and genius producer JAE5 proves that no man is safe from Husâs dazzling logic, as he stacks syllogism after syllogism over an irresistible, afropop-flavored groove: âIf it walk like an opp/Talk like an opp/Smell like an opp/Then it must be.â 16. Vampire Weekend - âJerusalem, New York, Berlinâ - Ever indulging his literary ambitions, Ezra Koenig uses the final track on Father Of The Bride to examine his Jewish identity, and to reckon with a world that hasnât made sense since World War I. The prettiest melody on an album dripping with pretty melodies, âJerusalem, New York, Berlinâ packs enough symbolism into three minutes to inspire a seminar at Koenigâs Ivy League alma mater. Supported by yearning, spritely piano, Koenig ends the song with a poignant plea for peace, within reason: âSo let them win the battle/But don't let them restart/That genocidal feeling/That beats in every heart.â 15. Great Grandpa - âBloomâ - The highlight from Great Grandpaâs outstanding Four Of Arrows album, âBloomâ is two songs in one. Part one brings punchy acoustic guitar that recalls â90s adult alternative (think Matchbox 20) and prime-era Saddle Creek (think Rilo Kiley) in equal measure. The second par tcompletes the songâs emotional arc, slowing down for a hypnotic wordless chorus, backed by weeping violins,. The key line here: âPlease say Iâm young enough to change.â 14. Spellling - âReal Funâ â Gleefully dramatic and overflowing with evil-sounding synths, âReal Funâ synthesizes Neneh Cherry, Bauhaus, and Cabaret into something that sounds like a villainâs theme in an animated musical that hasnât been written yet.  13. Earthgang - âProud Of Uâ ft. Young Thug â Thereâs no straight man to ground this ATL trio, as all three emcees lean into their vocal eccentricities while expressing their thanks to the women in their lives atop a mutating, guitar-driven beat. 12. Stella Donnelly - âTricksâ â In which the young heroine attempts to rid herself of a particularly toxic ex, who isnât just misogynist, but a potential white supremacist sympathizer (her subjectâs âSouthern Cross Tattooâ is like an Aussie version of the MAGA hat). Heavy stuff, but Donnelly delivers everything with a grin, as if sheâs wondering in real time why the hell she ever bothered with this jamoke. 11. Jenny Lewis - âOn The Lineâ - The title track and emotional climax of Jenny Lewisâ latest album, âOn The Lineâ boasts one of the finest vocal performances in her long career, sweetly assassinating her cheating ex-lover with a lilting melody and wry smile.
10. Lucinda Chua - âWhatever It Takesâ â Lucinda Chua makes languid art pop in the tradition of fka twigs, but I prefer her understated longing to twigs herself. Her main instrument is the cello, but this track foregoes that sound almost entirely, opting instead for resonant Wurlitzer keys and multi-layered vocal harmonies, and shunting traditional song structure aside in favor of one enigmatic verse, repeating at odd intervals throughout: âWait/The demons I carry are fake/I will fight our fire, too late.â 9. ShooterGang Kony - âCharlieâ â The yearâs most cold-blooded mob banger starts with the line âfuck the police and your mama if you ask meâ and only escalates from there. Rhyming without affect over hiccuping bass, Kony mercilessly ethers cops, R&B singers, and women named Ashley before threatening to shoot you with a gun that sounds like Fozzy Bear. 8. KEY! - âMiami Too Muchâ â My favorite Atlanta rap song of the year gets its power from its hilariously specific central conceit, with KEYâs impassioned vocal selling the bit: âIf you seen that ass, you'd make a song too.â How often must someone visit Dade County before it becomes an irreconcilable difference in an otherwise healthy relationship? 7. Raphael Saadiq - âSomething Keeps Callingâ ft. Rob Bacon - Named after his older brother, Raphael Saddiqâs towering Jimmy Lee album examines the personal cost of the crack epidemic, and the outsized role addiction plays in the lives of the destitute. âSomething Keeps Callingâ is the albumâs crushing centerpiece, painting substances as at once a seductive lover and a heavy burden, one that overrides all common sense and decency: âMy friends say I can never pull it together/Well they might be right, at least tonight/My kids say I'll never come home again/And I know they're right, at least tonight.â The song climaxes with Rob Baconâs wailing guitar solo, which tries in vain to reach out to those beyond hope. 6. Bad Bunny & J Balvin - âLa CanciĂłnâ - Nestled in the middle of Balvin and Bunnyâs summer smash OASIS, âLa CanciĂłnâ takes a break from the party to dwell on the inherent emptiness of their hedonistic lifestyle, as a mournful trumpet echoes the Reggaetonerosâ longing for meaningful connection amidst their chaotic lives. 5. Polo G - âPop Outâ ft. Lil TJay â Only Polo G would interrupt his own robbery to examine the sociological causes of his behavior: âWe come from poverty, man, we ain't have a thing.â But on the rest of âPop Out,â Polo leans into the dark side of his persona, before 2019âs most unlikely guest verse assassin Lil TJay brings the pathos: âIf I showed you all my charges, you won't look at me the same.â In contrast to how effortless the two rappers sound atop the dramatic piano loop, listening to Lil Baby and Gunna wheeze through the remix hammers home the high degree of difficulty of such nimble melodics. Itâs a testament to how fast rap music moves these days that Polo and TJay can make last yearâs It Duo sound like geezers. 4. Octo Octa - âI Need Youâ â It starts as an intoxicatingly minimal expression of dancefloor lust, but halfway through, âI Need Youâ morphs into a sincere and moving tribute to everybody who helped Octo Octa become the woman she is today. Itâs a moving moment tucked within an epic club track that works equally well as build-up or comedown.
3. Purple Mountains - âAll My Happiness Is Goneâ - Itâs hard to find the words for this one, a matter-of-fact documentation of a man slowly losing his will to live--which became heartbreakingly clear when David Berman committed suicide in August. But because itâs Berman, âAll My Happiness Is Goneâ is packed with genius-level wordplay and devastating observations, and enough gallows humor to truly emphasize the gravity of his situation: âFriends are warmer than gold when you're old/And keeping them is harder than you might suppose//Lately, I tend to make strangers wherever I go/Some of them were once people I was happy to know.â Iâll keep going: âTen thousand afternoons ago/All my happiness just overflowed/That was life at first and goal to go.â And one more: âWhere nothing's wrong and no one's asking/But the fear's so strong it leaves you gasping/No way to last out here like this for long.â
2. Big Thief - âNotâ - A torrid, slow-burning rocker, âNotâ showcases lead singer-songwriter Adrienne Lenkerâs skill with oblique imagery and wild-eyed intensity. Lenker rattles off a long list of poetic observations, trying to get to the heart of something (everything?) without ever finding a satisfactory answer, as the music morphs from a controlled simmer to a cacophonous freakout. âNotâ climaxes with a riotous guitar solo from Lenker herself, one that reaches towards the cosmos and echoes her frayed vocal. As always with Big Thief, though, the song soars in the smallest moments, like when guitarist Buck Meek enters with plainspoken backing vocals, and at the beginning of the second verse when the guitars drop out and Lenkerâs voice stands alone.
1. Burna Boy - âAnybodyâ - Sometimes the best song of the year is the one that makes you feel the best, and no song this year made me feel better than âAnybody.â âAnybodyâ is both inviting and aloof, urgent and relaxing. Riding an irresistible groove defined by syncopated keys, driving percussion, and an eager-to-please saxophone, Burna Boy slides between Pidgin English and Yoruba chasing a feeling that resonates beyond the capabilities of language. Itâs a song about demanding and receiving respect, dripping with the contagious confidence of an African Giant. And for three minutes, youâll feel like a giant too.
THE REST: 26. DaBaby - âIntroâ 27. Perfume Genius - âEye On The Wallâ 28. Yves Jarvis - âTo Say That Is Easyâ 29. Doja Cat - âCyber Sexâ 30. Mannequin Pussy - âDrunk IIâ 31. Better Oblivion Community Center - âDylan Thomasâ 32. Shoreline Mafia - âWingsâ 33. Kehlani - âFootstepsâ ft. Musiq Soulchild 34. Obangjayar - âFrensâ 35. Ariana Grande - âNASAâ 36. Mustard ft. Roddy Ricch - âBallinâ 37. Baby Keem - âORANGE SODAâ 38. Jessie Ware - âAdore Youâ 39. 03 Greedo x Kenny Beats - âDisco Shitâ ft. Freddie Gibbs 40. Martha - âLove Keeps Kickingâ 41. Lucki - âMore Than Everâ 42. Park Hye-Jin - âCall Meâ 43. DaVido - âDisturbanceâ ft. Peruzzi 44. The Japanese House - âWormsâ 45. Spencer Radcliffe - âHere Comes The Snowâ 46. ITâS HERE~!!!
Check out this comprehensive playlist of my favorite songs of 2016!!!
There are 55 entries here (counting the couple of multi-part songs that I didnât want to break up as one entry) and you can see the full list after the break below. All in all, itâs a little over 4 hours of my favorite individual songs from the hundreds of albums I listened to this year.
Also, side note, the playlist is in descending order (meaning the first song is my #55 pick, the final song is my #1 pick, etc.) because then the playlist only gets stronger from my perspective... also, I like the way the playlist flows that way instead.
Happy listening! Hope you enjoy it!!!

Dear Yuletide Author - 2019
Thank you for your time and attention, and I hope your wishes are granted this holiday!
Likes:
I prefer plot and angst and adventure to fluff, though a nice warm fluffy scene can make a good dessert at the end of the pain and suffering. I lean more to f/f and m/f than m/m. I enjoy forbidden relationships. I love exploring the 'what if' spinoffs of a small change in a canon. I swoon for lovers who take dramatic risks to protect their loved ones.
I also enjoy detailed description of clothing/furniture/jewelry/pretty things in general. Not just heaping up brand names, but sensory detail.
Dislikes:
Please avoid sweeping tropey AUs like 'what if noir' or 'what if everyone was in high school'. I'm REALLY picky about comedy so it's probably not a good idea to go for wacky funny stuff. No excited rambling about pregnancy or babies. (Older kids are okay.) While I am okay with pretty dark stuff, please don't gorily torture characters to death on screen. If people gotta die, limit the details! I am generally not keen on crossovers. I dislike PWP unless it is exceedingly hot smut (see below).
Smut:
I don't require it, but I do read a good bit of filthy porn.
Kinks I find interesting: mild bdsm, pain mixed with pleasure, dubcon, sibling or cousin incest, strap-ons, futanari and other magical appendages, teasing, teenagers, drugs/magic with interesting effects, people making terrible decisions due to being emotionally overwrought or really really horny
DO NOT WANT:Â
rape or painful sex that one party is not enjoying at all, inserting anything edible (licking off boobs is okay), aggressive face-fucking, choking, degradation, scat/watersports, bukkake, parental incest, anyone younger than teen, emphasis on 'virgin blood' (some writers make it a huge deal with tearing pain and fountains of blood, please don't).

Poison Ivy (1992 film)
Sylvie Cooper, Ivy
I was struggling through the confusions of puberty, Ivy was hot, this film left an impression on me. In a way it's perfect as it is, and trying to build any sort of happy ending for Ivy feels out of place, but on the other hand there's a lot of loose ends left after the story.
Throughout the film, there's a lot the audience never knows about Ivy, including her legal name. Did Coop know it? (Maybe, probably.) Did her father? (Quite possibly not). How do they handle all the legal responsibilities of her death? Were Ivy's stories about the aunt she was staying with true? How do they break the news? Â How does her funeral go? Â
What do Sylvie and her father have to say to each other about Ivy after the truth comes out? Does he admit everything that he did? How does he handle the guilt? How do they rebuild their relationship?
What is school like, afterwards? What rumors escape? How does Coop handle them?
Or - what if Ivy survives the fall? Seriously injured, possibly paralysed, but alive? How do they deal with her, once the truth comes out? Do they cover up her crimes? Do they keep her in their home? What happens to their relationships?
For AUs, what would have happened if Ivy had met Coop when they were several years younger, so she couldn't get her hooks into Darryl as easily? What if they met at summer camp and Ivy was just as messed-up and needy but the situations were different? What if the movie plot is actually a fantasy younger-Ivy spins about her future to her fascinated-and-appalled friend, who then has a chance to react to it?
Bittersweet endings are good here but I donât mind it going all dark if you feel like it. Too happy would just feel wrong.
Smutwise, I'm fine with Sylvie/Ivy, I'm okay with Darryl/Ivy but I would rather he not be the focus of the story (Sylvie catching them having sex has possibilities, or Ivy thinking about Sylvie while seducing Darryl)

Xanth - Piers Anthony
Jenny Elf, Gwendolyn Goblin
I have an ulterior motive, I badly want to insert some gayness into Xanth after the author has tried so hard to make it impossible, even allegedly threatening magical straightjackets to cure homosexuality. And it is difficult to think of a good f/f pairing because female characters in Xanth are almost completely obsessed with flashing their panties and attracting men. Almost the only good female friendship actually on-page (as opposed to a vague comment that Ivy and Nada used to hang out) is Jenny/Gwenny, who are best friends.
The events of The Color Of Her Panties even provide some possible groundwork to build on. They've been raised together in the care of centaurs who have different views on morality/sexuality than humans do. They're forced to think about sex and be inducted into the Adult Conspiracy together. Gwenny's new contacts mean that she starts seeing other people's sexual fantasies (and Jenny does too, for a while). They're bound to have some good girly gossip on the subject at some point, talking about what all these weirdoes are into and trying to figure out what the appeal is! Or some simple "ugh boys are gross, especially goblin boys" that leads to pushing them closer together. (Well, Che is quite different from the goblin boys, and I'm not totally opposed to including him, but my ulterior motive makes me more interested in Jenny/Gwenny as a couple than all of them as an OT3.)
I basically stopped reading the series at that point so please don't refer to plot developments and characters that came later in the series. I know that both girls are married off to men eventually in canon. Don't care.
Straightforward romance: Gwenny relies on Jenny to cheer her up and help her relax from her duties. Romance blossoms! Simple.
Silly fluff: Gwenny and Jenny visit the Pantry, try on tons of lingerie together, have a ridiculous slumber party and pillow fight, end up snogging... maybe they even accidentally found Dolph and Electra's honeymoon chamber.
For a slightly more dramatic plot, Gwenny's bound to feel like she has to marry and have a child because goblins have hereditary rulership. She also knows all the good and bad sides of that - she would never have come to power without those rules, but those rules also made her bastard half-brother a threat when he would have been a terrible leader. And she knows that true family is what you choose, not just an accident of birth. Will she decide that she has to have a husband? Will she decide that she cannot have a husband, who might threaten her power, but must give birth to a child for the succession? (And hey, magic can be involved, this is Xanth, she can TOTALLY have Jenny's baby somehow) Or what about adoption?
If you smut it, I don't care if they're still as young as they were in TCOHP (but no younger). I'm also fine with them being older. I would rather not do any temporary sex-change because that defeats my ulterior motive, but weird uses for Xanth-style magic stuff could be entertaining.
If the real-world implications of Jenny Elf bother you, I'll settle for Ivy/Nada, but that's going to need a lot more imagination to get a satisfying story out of it. How does their friendship develop between Isle of View and Man from Mundania, other than gossipping about their respective brothers? Do they have any adventures? How does Ivy cope with Nada's occasional self-destructive tendencies? How does Electra fit into their group?

Fern Capel - Jan Siegel
Any
This is a tall ask, since this book series doesn't seem very well known here, and the writing style is hard to match. On top of that, I've got a love/hate relationship with the series.
I adored the first book. I liked the rest of the trilogy... up to the ending WHICH I HATED. I detest reset-button plots, and I find "just let me forget everything" resolutions to be unpleasantly reminscent of suicidal inclination. Life is making choices and carrying on and learning how to deal with the consequences. We don't get to wipe out our histories. They're part of us. Also, choosing to stop fighting evil as long as you and your friend can be safe is... I don't want to say cowardly, because it's human, but it's very unsatisfying as the end of a heroic story.
I want a fix-it. Somehow. Anyhow. Rewrite the universe, change the events of the third book. Give me an ending with hope. Doesn't have to be super-happy, can acknowledge that the fight against darkness can never be 'won' and we'll all die in the end, but we carry on regardless and we find some joy in the world we live in on the way.
Find Fern another way out of her dilemma - or rewrite enough of the plot that she doesn't feel so hopeless to begin with. Let Fern love again! Let her _really_ love, let her experience different kinds of love and find them all valuable rather than holding on forever to what she's lost.
Any sort of story taking place within this world could be nice to read.
Other things that might be entertaining - reincarnate Morgun? Trap Morgus in a harmless, powerless body and force her to interact with the world until she learns to be less evil (which will take centuries)? I tend to enjoy ancient evils forced to be helpful and friendly (while being very bitter about it). Get Will and Gaynor together? Get Will, Gaynor, and Fern all together (sharing non-incestuously)? Let Fern find an older magical woman, a mother-witch type, who is kind and understanding and supportive, so she no longer has to feel like she's the one bearing all the knowledge and responsibility alone? Fern never really relaxes. What would it take for her to be safe and happy and still herself, rather than giving it all up?
DNW: Will/Fern.

Anyplace Anywhere Anytime - Nena ft. Kim Wilde (Music Video)
Any
So when I first saw this video, I thought, "OMG that is absolutely 90s White Wolf / Vampire the Masquerade. And kind of gay!" And that's basically what I'm requesting. Dark urban fantasy romance in the streets of London (or some other European city with gothic churches around). A story that has the feel of this video, whether or not it's a direct connection. Bring all your darkest teen vampire angst fantasies, let them run wild, and give them a happy ending (because this isn't a sad song!)
Desirable elements: lesbians (please!) vampires (please!) people wearing sunglasses (including at night, to hide their inhuman eyes) people wearing black leather, with extra straps and buckles and spikes trenchcoats fishnets - possibly even full-body stiletto boots dancing/nightclubs staff fighting, maybe some sort of ritual challenge for position forbidden romance, which somehow works out
Could be cool: time travel (but not a full Dark crossover please) reincarnation a lyric drop - either "anyplace, anywhere, anytime" or "I'll build you a castle of sand" (yes, I know that's a little awkward in English but if they're vampires maybe someone's first language isn't English, and it needs 'castle of sand' rather than 'sandcastle' to be a proper lyric drop IMO... Or you could just say it in German to begin with.)
DNW:
tragic dead lesbians at the end of it. NO BAD ENDING FOR THIS PLEASE.

"you're one lucky woman to have found me, then." ivy smiles cheekily, though she does partly mean it. while a certain level of hypocrisy is required to survive in the world she's born into and now works in, she tries to be as authentic as she can afford to be and is her most honest version when she's around people she's comfortable with, jenny included. "maybe i have many skeletons in my closet, who knows?" she jokes, though she is indeed flattered by the compliment. she knows she can be perceived as less than kind sometimes, but she is at least glad that her connection with jenny feels so effortless. she glances at her phone when jenny suggests they go elsewhere instead, before tilting her head as she brainstorms ideas. "it's a bit early for dinner, maybe we can go to a café first... i know one that's been the talk of the town lately. maybe we should check it out and decide later on what we want to do."
"mm, i guess i'm just so used to the bullshit these days. it's rare to find someone genuine," jenny admits with a shake of her head. but that was to be expected in jenny's world where the diamonds were real but the people wearing them were fake. "it's not fair. you can't be beautiful on the outside and the inside. you have to be hiding some sort of terrible secret," jenny responds, her tone playful, as she flips her hair over her shoulder. "i'd love that! we can go wherever you want to go. i'm curious to see where my new bestie likes to have fun!" she's not usually this hyper and excited for anything like this before, but hanging out with ivy seemed to bring it out of her. after all, she was genuinely curious - eager to learn more about ivy.

if ivy is being completely honest, elijah is not the petulant, jealous loser she has unfairly painted him out to be â but perhaps he should be exercising a bit more concern over the blossoming friendship between his own sister and his girlfriend, considering ivy's thoughts regarding jenny are decidedly far from innocent. "of course i mean it â why would i say something i don't mean?" while insincere praises may be relatively commonplace in the pretentious social circles of the upper class aristocracy ivy traverses, she sees little value in deceiving her friends â or those who have become even more than mere friends. "oh, hush now." ivy chuckles, her heart fluttering with a familiar warmth at jenny's words, even if they may simply be an endearing exaggeration. "i can't help that i'm so lovable." she adds with a playful, self-assured smile. glancing once more at jennyâs alluring reflection in the mirror, she asks. âshould we go celebrate now that our mission of getting the perfect dresses for you is accomplished?â
jenny softly chuckles, the messy side of her curious to see elijah get all jealous over her preferring ivy to him. but really, jenny was growing too interested in ivy for her own good. and it wasn't like they were really doing anything wrong, were they? they were just hanging out, underneath the pure intentions of getting to know each other better. elijah couldn't really object to that, could he? "you seriously think so?" jenny says with a smile. "i couldn't agree more. i swear, it's like you're reading my mind or something. if you keep this up, i might just fall in love with you."

"spending even more time with me? eli is going to feel even more threatened than he already does." does ivy mind keeping his gorgeous girlfriend company longer than she already does? not at all. if jenny wasn't her brother's partner, much less effort would be put into trying not to feel things for her that shouldn't be there â the key word is trying. "i have." it would be a lie to say otherwise, considering that ivy has practically grown up under the limelight that adores her. "but it means even more from pretty girls, so thank you." she smiles with a tiny bow of her head and a dramatic hand over her chest. "really? you can't be further away from that." but that's just the world they live in, she supposes, one that hates to see beautiful women thrive. "i think a lot of people just have something against pretty girls who are confident of themselves, that's all."
the girl's eyes playfully narrow at ivy's quick explanation, not quite believing it. but she wouldn't push any further than that. she wasn't about to make the poor girl become even more flustered than before. "huh, i can't really see it. but maybe i have to spend more time with you first so i can make my own judgement," jenny remarked. when ivy asks jenny whether she thought she was pretty, jenny instantly nods with a growing smile. "of course. i wouldn't have said it if you weren't. don't act like you haven't heard it before. i'm sure you've heard it a million times before." and as much as ivy tried to deny it, she had a thing for all things pretty. whether they be clothes, shoes, places, or even people. especially people. "is that so? most of the time, everyone thinks of me as a bitch so i'm glad i could win you over," jenny admits. granted, she was a bitch but the fact of the matter was that few people could handle her. perhaps ivy was one of the few.

"...i might have gone overboard with blush this morning." ivy blinks, lying through her teeth, though her playful tone makes it obvious she's joking. still, what does it mean when she's blushing from something her brother's girlfriend said? life would be much easier if jenny had less of an effect on her than she does right now. "right? and people call me the dramatic one." she adds, not willing to admit that she is, indeed, the more theatrical one between the siblings â at least not right now. "i'm really happy about it, too." she admits genuinely, before being taken by surprise by jenny's confession. "you think i'm pretty?" she has to repeat it, no matter how many times she's heard it, grinning brightly. as strange as it may be, it's not the first time she's heard something similar to what jenny admitted, and she supposes such suspicion makes sense when she could either be her bubbly self or someone with a resting bitch face, depending on her mood for the day. "you've given me no reason but to be sweet to you." ivy wishes she had â anything that could dampen her terrible crush would be well appreciated.
jenny nods, a smile creeping onto her lips. maybe it wouldn't be too appropriate for her to find ivy's blush cute and adorable. and yet she does. "hey, are you blushing because of me? i don't think i've ever seen you blush before so i feel proud." and jenny meant every word too. "seriously? gosh, elijah's so dramatic," jenny chuckles with her, her smile growing. "i'm glad that we're becoming friends. i was so intimidated by you when we first met - i mean, you're so pretty and i just thought you'd be mean. but if anything, you're the total opposite." it made jenny wonder how ivy wanted to remain hanging out with her when she could be around someone so much better.
