At last! The post no-ones been waiting for!!
✨Assigning Sherlock Characters Chappell Roan Songs*✨
*mostly based on vibes of the character / what i song think the characters would like
Sherlock Holmes - Kaleidoscope
This song is literally about falling in love with your friends. come on. one of the lyrics is ‘If you really want to leave, I’ll never make you stay’. If i think too much about these lyrics and him I’ll cry, please listen to it i beg. Dare i say ‘conductor of light’ as food for thought
John Watson - Good Luck, Babe!
I’ve already posted about this. When you wake up next to her, in the middle of the night, with your head in your hands, you nothing more than her husband-
Molly Hooper - After Midnight
Little bit vibes based, but I can picture this being her jam when she stops pining after Sherlock and gets herself out there !! she should be in the club !!
Greg Lestrade - Coffee
I don’t know about this one honestly. Something about it strikes me as him tho.
Mrs Hudson - Pink Pony Club
I can just imagine her dancing to this around 221A, probably while she cleans or cooks. She was totally an ally back in the day (and still is). wouldn’t be surprised if she was a pink pony girl.
Mary Morstan - Femininomenon
She is a femininomenon!! (The lyric ‘stuck in the suburbs, you’re folding his laundry, got what you wanted, so stop feeling sorry’ reminds me of her and john simultaneously).
Mycroft Holmes - My Kink Is Karma
Mycroft Holmes doesn’t believe in karma, he is karma. He totally wreaks havoc on the lives of people who’ve wronged him with his ‘minor position in the british government’ powers.
Jim Moriarty - HOT TO GO!
He’s such a silly guy (terrorist). If he could’ve had this on his ipod in 2010, he would. (also ‘i could be the one or your new addiction’ is so him + his obsession with sherlock).
Irene Adler - Picture You
Mostly based on vibes. I don’t rlly like how the bbc interpretation of her is so inherently sexual but she’s also gay so i’ll take the compromise. I was torn between this and ‘Super Ultra Graphic Modern Girl’ but i assigned that to another character down the list.
Bonuses!!
Anthea - Super Ultra Graphic Modern Girl
She gives me bad bitch vibes in her ~5 minutes of screen time, okay?
Janine - Red Wine Supernova
90% vibes that she’d love this song, 10% my conviction that Janine was meant to be the bi friend to Sherlock’s gay friend.
Sherlock & John - Casual
IVE SEEN SO MANY EDITS. EACH ONE OF THEM ABSOLUTE CRIMINAL. IS IT CASUAL NOW?

'There is a moment in NT Live’s Vanya – a one-man version of Anton Chekhov’s 1898 classic Uncle Vanya – where it feels fully possible that Andrew Scott could have cloned himself, and that three versions of him are on stage at once. He’s chameleonic enough that you’d believe it.
Vanya shows how life on a rural estate is completely upended when famous filmmaker Alexander, and his young, glamorous second wife Helena, visit. During this time, estate manager Ivan (Vanya) and country doctor Michael both fall for Helena, and consequently reevaluate their lives. The play stars Andrew Scott portraying all seven characters – including Ivan’s niece Sonya, housekeeper Maureen and local boy Liam – in a powerhouse, multipronged performance. The production enjoyed a sell-out run on the West End last year, alongside a spate of five-star reviews.
In a way, it feels like Scott’s career has been building towards Vanya, so varied are his most celebrated roles. Starting out on the stages of his native Ireland, the West End and Broadway, Scott burst onto our television screens in 2010 as the delightfully unhinged villain Jim Moriarty in BBC’s Sherlock. He gave a playful, terrifying edge to a character who is usually dull and professorial in his ruthlessness. Since then, Scott has been a mainstay of stage and screen, his characters running the gamut from Hamlet to Bond antagonist (Spectre), fantasy hero (His Dark Materials) to droll matinée idol (Present Laughter), the latter of which earned him an Olivier. With every part, Scott conveys a sense of something deeper going on under the surface – unsaid, but clearly legible on his face.
With his beloved ‘Hot Priest’, hired to officiate a family wedding in series two of Fleabag (2019), Scott further demonstrated this facility for internal performances. His clergyman forms a tentative, transgressive romantic relationship with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s titular tearaway, which simultaneously heals and serves as rock bottom for both of them. Scott brings a quiet confidence to the priest as he flirts with abandoning his vows, trying to do the right thing no matter how much it hurts. It’s terrifically subtle, deeply felt work.
Scott is uniquely adept at holding space for emotion, as seen with Adam, a man dealing with the impact of a lifetime of loneliness in Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers. He brings a guardedness to the character, who discovers that his late parents are alive and waiting for him in the house he grew up in. His visits home become the key to opening himself up to a romantic relationship with his neighbour (Paul Mescal). Throughout the film, we feel Adam’s gratitude and grief as he discovers the love and support he’s denied himself for so long. Scott is a master of smiles that never quite make it to the eyes, of lit-up eyes downplayed with hesitant smiles. His emotions are fluid, never vacillating, never overwrought.
He takes his considerable skills to new heights in Vanya, where he showcases his immense versatility as an actor. One minute, he’s a beleaguered and gossipy housekeeper, and the next – literally, the very next – he’s a bored and depressed doctor. Another moment, and he’s a young woman filled with hope and energy, and, almost in the same breath, he’s transformed into her uncle, whose decline from cringey jokester to an utterly lost man has happened before our eyes.
Scott introduces us to each of his characters slowly: establishing their physicality, their voices, their mannerisms. His transitions between them are more marked at the beginning, when he uses props and leaves space for us to register his change in posture, or physically moves from one side of the room to another. He accustoms us to the characters’ different voices – Helena’s is cold, reserved and posh; Alexander’s slow and scatterbrained; Ivan’s jovial and tense, like something could imminently break. Some characters are linked with certain props: Sonya with her tea towel, Michael with his tennis ball, Ivan, again, with his comedy sound-effects box.
But eventually these visual clues fall away, and we know everyone by their sound and posture. Soon, Scott is setting one character down and picking another up as he rises. He is both the person being blocked and the one doing the blocking, the person being comforted and the one tenderly stroking their head. Even the scenes of sexual intimacy between two characters are made believable, handled in a way so focused and naturalistic they don’t seem contrived or actorly. By the play’s end, Scott is throwing his voice as one character and reacting as another, and we know who is who by the arc of his brow, the curve of his smile or the movement of his hand.
These smaller movements, which would be felt more than seen from anywhere other than the front rows of a theatre, are what give this cinematic version of Vanya its magic. It’s in the way Sonya can handle a tea towel both nervously and with resolve, the way Michael’s slumped posture goes from listless to lustful and the way Ivan slowly crumbles, sloughing off layer upon layer of coping mechanisms. All of the decisions Scott makes as an actor are clearly rooted in a deep empathy for each of these characters. Quite a feat, then, to maintain this dedication for more characters than can be counted on one hand over the course of two hours.
Vanya is an acting masterclass, a beautiful unfurling of Scott’s multifacetedness. It’s a culmination of what we love about him as an actor: his constant, daring shapeshifting. If he was at the top of his game before, then now he is absolutely stratospheric.'

I was always meant to be a tumblrina. I love supernatural and sherlock bbc (sadly never watched doctor who though) i was always so very crazily attached to my hyperfixations since 2019 (i will not elaborate on the fandom I was at that time) ive wanted to rant about tv shows and whatnot to people so badly that I used to pester my brother. Never been normal about songs either. So yeah. Also I’m extremely introverted, if that proves anything.
Pls don’t take offense at anything i said, i meant it affectionately and I love this hellsite <3

my goomens s2 thoughts
ok so spoilers obviously BUT
my god . this was a shitshow GFFHIGHFIg i really went in with like . the lowest expectations bc all i wanted was a). see my purple whore (gabriel) and see him be funny b). have a good finale for him where he remains the most special boy in heaven
i did NOT expect the show to be sooo bad in the writing department it was insane. like, ok, i don't care much for crowley and aziraphale, i never did. i love it when they're being fruity and silly on screen, that's fun but overall I'm not very much invested in them. but in this season u barely get them doing fun stuff together, they're always split up and on their own they just don't deliver
AND THE WORST FUCKING PART. are those fucking minisodes/flashbacks . they're so bad. my god. but its clear everyone involved in creating them LOVES the idea but ???? every single one of them SUCKED and took focus away from interesting things that were happening in the PRESENT. the entire mystery plot about gabriel was interesting but guess what, they set it up and then . forget about it until the last episode where they just do a MASSIVE exposition dump in like 15 minutes. u get the entire mystery handed to you on a silver platter and the worst part is, they could have set it up like a genuine investigation for the viewer to guess it, but its the same as BBC sherlock fuckery. the actual resolution is something u never could have guessed on your own !!!!!!!! like there were hints (wit the fly in the shop) but they NEVER followed up on it, they just randomly resolve it in the final episode . my god
anyways back to the minisodes/flashbacks. theyre so bad. i said that already but they're so bad. the blitz episode is the worst offender bc not only it takes place right after that really nice scene from s1 and thusly robs it of any emotional impact, but its also . JUST BAD. EXTREMELY BORING AND UNFUNNY. DREADFULLY UNFUNNY. job minisode was really bad too . the finale of it was ok but the whole buildup was stupid as FUCK. the corpse robbing bit in victorian edinburgh was SOOOO boring and at the end there - extremely cringe. WHY DID THEY EVEN BOTHER WITH THOSE. THEY ADDED NOTHING TO THE PLOT. at least in s1 when they did the minisodes, they served as character exploration for crowley and aziraphale and they also set up some of heaven/hell lore, THE ONES IN S2 WERE NOTHING. NOTHING AT ALL . at one point it seemed like all the bits from the past somehow lead to the current mystery (like that doctor guy and the pub named after him) BUT THEN IT ALL TURNED OUT TO NOT BE CONNECTED AT ALL
the blitz episode . my god . it was just . so bad. i have no words really.
and the lesbian subplot - like. it needed to be more connected to the main plot. i didn't mind it at all but . it went and disappeared and then suddenly became the focus of episode five... WHEN AT THIS POINT, WE SHOULDVE BEEN GETTING CLOSER TO SOLVING THE MYSTERY. BUT THE MYSTERY WAS SHELVED FOR SOME FUCKING REASON. its insane how much aziraphale and crowley just. forget about gabriel even tho they should be busting ass to solve the case as it were.
and my god, gabriel. ive never been like. ride or die for gabriel/beelzebub, they've always been two boss bitches that slayed together or whatever , i prefer them to be that and not romantically involved but i also dont mind them to be an item. so whatever, i dont mind them being endgame BUT I MIND BOTH OF THEM DITCHING THEIR POSITIONS OF POWER BECAUSE I THINK THEYRE TOO COOL FOR THAT . WHATEVER . THATS LAME . they should've like. reorganized everything .
AND ALSO THE WAY THEY KEPT SHELVING GABRIEL AND JUST LIKE. LEAVING HIM OUT OF EPISODES????? WHAT??? THE WHOLE CATALYST FOR EVERYTHING AND THEY FORGET ABOUT HIM FOR LONG STRETCHES OF TIME. INSANE??? AND RESOLVE EVERYTHING SOOO QUICKLY IN THE FINAL EPISODE??? what the hell
ITS JSUT ? INSANE HOW BAD THE WRITING IS and i don't even mean that from a gabriel girlie's perspective. imagine if the season starts out with like, idk a murder mystery and it looks like solving the murder is the most important thing for the story, at least it seems so in episode one. and then suddenly the rest of the season is about what the two detectives did some time ago and its totally unrelated and also at some point there are two episodes dedicated to them looking for some files for an unrelated mystery to get their bosses of their back. and the murder is solved at the last moment through magical CCTV footage they could've accessed at any point in the season if they just Tried A Bit Harder.
it really boggles the mind. it REALLY DOES. they should have dropped all the minisodes they did NOTHING . the ball episode should have been like. ep 3 or smth. the rest should've been the investigation of the weird fuckery. shax was wasted. additional hell and heaven lore felt like deconstruction instead of worldbuilding. I'm going insane with how bad all of this was, I REALLY DIDNT EXPECT IT TO BE SUCH A SHITSHOW LIKE DFHGIDDHGIGH ITS FUNNY??? ITS JUST BASICS OF SHOWMAKING .
I SAID TO SUSAN THAT THIS FEELS LIKE A SHOW WRITTEN DURING THE WRITERS STRIKE BUT IT WASNT . IT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE OUGHHHH
and again, i dont care about aziraphale but the last moment arc felt so out of character for him like my god, didn't we just spend an entire job minisode establishing he's questioning heaven and now he just returns to it AUHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG what the fuck is going on. how is this so BAD HGIFGHGIH . the last episode is such a shitshow that its like. its remarkable. I'm genuinely surprised bc my expectations were low but WOW. just WOW
i have to stop now before i continue picking everything apart but AUGHGHG JESUS !!!!! I COULDNT HAVE PREDICTED IT BEING SO BAD

20 Writer Questions

1. Total number of AO3 works?
34! i haven't uploaded in so long ouurgh
2. Total AO3 word count?
103,336 :o
3. Fandoms I’ve written in?
oh boy, tons. and im too shy to talk abt a lot of them on my main blog lol, but throughout my life i've written for a lot of youtubers, bbc sherlock, rotbtd, atla, tlok, american idol, some disney shows, an anime, live streamers, musicians...
4. Top 5 Fics by Kudos
dhjdjhs again im too shy to list em directly, they're all rpf >:'D # of kudos: 519, 377, 341, 314, 305
5. Do I️ respond to Comments?
yes, i try to reply to all of them! tho i need to look at my inbox and check that i haven't missed any recent ones :')
6. What has the angstiest ending?
hmmMm on ao3 i have a drabble that ends in perceived unrequited love but i think my actual angstiest published story ends with 2 former best friends finally choosing to part ways. offline, i have stories that end in major character death 😬
7. What has the happiest ending?
oh! a delightful question! i think the one where the soulmates figure their shit out and finally confess their feelings for each other feels like the most triumphant ending that i can remember writing :)
8. Have I️ received hate?
not for my writing. i've received unwarranted constructive criticism before tho.
9. Do I️ write smut? And what kind?
yes sometimes but i've never posted it online 👁👁 and idk "what kind" means... gay i guess???? loll
10. Do I️ write crossovers?
yes! i don't think i've posted anything online but rise of the brave tangled dragons is one of my longest loves.
11. Have I️ ever had a fic stolen?
not that i know of 😳
12. Have I️ ever had a fic translated?
no but i would be honored if anyone offered! :')
13. Have I️ ever co-written a fic?
i've initiated "finish the fic"s before, but i've never co-written a fic in the traditional sense.
14. What is my all-time favorite ship?
OH hmmm idk if i have one. maybe sh****** just bc of how long and intense my obsession was for it lol
15. A WIP I️’ll never finish?
i have a bbc sherlock fic that was well-received but i just can't imagine finishing it bc my writing has changed so much, i never had a direction for the story, and i don't really like how i wrote the characters.
16. Writing Strengths?
i'm good at eavesdropping on imaginary conversations between people who exist solely in my head so i think im good at whipping out dialogue, lol. i also pride myself on writing realistic, complex emotions and digging into the deeper, more hidden thoughts of characters.
17. Writing Weaknesses?
i think i get so excited about writing my favorite bits i have planned that i rush the pacing of my stories or i force plotpoints that don't make too much sense and can probably be cut. i've been trying to combat that by indulging in the first draft—letting myself write all the exciting, wild ideas i have first before revising and fine-tuning the story to my standards!
18. Do I️ like foreign language dialogue?
yes? no opinion? i don't think i understand this question.
19. First Fandom I️ wrote for?
i think it was american idol >:)
20. Favorite fic Ive written?
wahhh like lynn i find it super hard to choose bc my writing is such a reflection of my interests and general mindset at the time! plus i still love my most busted writing bc i have such a warm appreciation for who i was and how i've improved. buuuuut for whatever reason i'm very proud of this one friends to lovers fic on my ao3 that's set during the wintertime~ i think i was able to get the pacing just right, emotionally and plotwise, and everything just makes sense, and the ending is so satisfying. it's a very solid fic for when i wrote it, and i am very happy to write a simply solid fic :)
thanks again lynn for the tag!! tagging: @farklelucas @26velociraptors if you want + any other ficwriters who would like to do this! (lol gretchen i can't even remember if you post on ao3 ermm)

um what else am i currently or have ever been ashamed of or felt pressure to disavow ummm...
i liked good omens both seasons. Writing on season two couldve been better but those two actors have good chemistry & comedic timing its entertaining to watch them on screen and the little cringe love story did tug at my heartstrings a little like i do care what happens to them.
I was also very much a bbc sherlock fan during the peak of tjlc and i believed in it with all my heart and when the last episode of s4 came out i was in denial for 4 months and then i pretended id never heard of the show in my life for the following few years...hbomberguy made a whole video calling me a stupid idot loser for falling for it and it felt like a knife to the heart. & you know what i rewatched it recently with a lightened soul & no karmic debt & now recognize the pain behind the vitriol cause he was clearly also a disappointed fan though i could not see that at the time. maybe not tjlc who's to say but he loved bbc sherlock & hated himself for that once the last episode came out and we all realised it was bad its pretty obvious in the way he talks about steven moffat like an ex-lover who betrayed him. But i think its not even bad i still like it ill rewatch it and have a good time,
and yes i am a johnlock shipper. those ugly british men have a handle on my psyché though with the shifting tides im feeling like i would enjoy a wider range of pairings and themes from that show. I am generally very susceptible to outside influence when it comes to these things its part of why i find it hard to ignore when the trends oscillate wildly between loving something absolutely and hating it with a passion i find it very tiring because i feel it in my heart as if the urge came from the inside...sometimes something is just okay and its okay to like it an average amount without having to wildly overcorrect to atone for having liked it more than it deserved. maybe i was too intense about bbc sherlock and got my heart broken even though it was obvious i was projecting something that was not there on a cryptic blank screen, and so it is mostly my own fault but i don't have to hate myself for it either its all fine.
Loving something a little too much and being heartbroken when you realise it wasn't actually what you thought is painful but its part of life its not something to bury into the earth its fine....and im uncool to the extreme ive never been cool not once in my life im sort of embarrassing in most of the things i do and say and thats okay too i don't have to change because i can't anyways and besides its not hurting anyone. I'm literally a theater kid and theres something very freeing about being in the middle of a gaggle of nerds well sort of like being a tumblr blogger but the two balance each other out. I can't be cool on here because im a theater kid to my core in real life in the hamilton fan sort of way and i can't be cool in really life because im literally a tumblrina of the superwholock variety and in both there is a kind of peace and relief knowing that i will never have to be cool and am always lamer than most people around me at least in my heart of hearts...
#prefacing again that this is for me alone#but if you feel seen or targeted you can come sit on the floor with me and i will take you in my arms...

TAG NINE PEOPLE YOU’D LIKE TO KNOW BETTER!
I. favourite colours: Red, purple or black. Especially when combined together in a gothic style. So specifically deep reds and plum purples, not so much the emo style of bright red and bright purples with black. Think regal vampire's castle.
II. favourite flavours: Barbecue seasonings, char on meat (steak or chicken wings especially), apple sweets, pineapple sweets, watermelon in any form and a nice warm spiced rum.
III. favourite genres: Fantasy and sci-fi that have deep world-building elements, found family stories in whatever form they take, horror, psychology and if any of these come with a touch of comedy then even better but I rarely enjoy pure comedy driven narratives.
IV. favourite music: I'm a bit polyjamorous, listening to whatever vibes with me at any given time but recently I've been listening to a lot of alt, folk, rock and indie. Think Will Wood and The Tapeworms, Neil Cicierega/Lemon Demon, Ashnikko - if it sounds a little unhinged then it probably scratches my brain just right.
V. favourite movies: Spirited Away, Van Helsing, Brothers Grimm, Dragonheart, Borrowers, Pans Labyrinth, Wolf Children, The Lost Boys, Tremors, Hellboy/Hellboy 2 - Fun fact, Hellboy 2 had a big influence on the writing of my Fae characters and their worldbuilding.
VI. favourite series: Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Helluva Boss, X-Files, 10th Kingdom, Stranger Things, The Owl House, Invader Zim, BBC Sherlock, NBC Hannibal and Charmed.
VII. last song: I only smoke to feel bad - KiNG MALA
VIII. last series: Probably Helluva Boss? If not, a rewatch of Invader Zim.
IX. last movie: Coraline! I'd actually never seen it before and watched it with friends (I was ashamed for years to admit I'd never seen it because most people assumed I must have given my vibes.) Was pleasantly surprised to see it also fit my usual love of Fae-themed things.
X. currently reading: Unfortunately nothing currently, my books are all in storage and I don't want to risk losing any while sofa-surfing. I was in the middle of re-reading Fynoderee by Alexander Caine Duncan before that though as I hadn't read it since I was a teenager.
XI. currently watching: Various youtube videos on unexplained mysteries. Mr. Ballen being a favourite.
XII. currently working on: Getting a place to live! Finally got the paperwork I've been missing today (and signed up to the local library!) so that's in progress. Other than that, roleplay replies and trying to make my blog easier to navigate.
tagged by: @handgiven tagging: @bdkrp @multianime @etherdwellers @universalextortion @woewept @bcund @hostilis @hannah-the-small & anyone else that wants to do it!! This is an open invitation!
#Monochrome Feathers || Mun#ooc || the birb speaks#I feel like I'm a fairly simple creature ahaha but nothing wrong with that

YES YES YES THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING FOR AGES
ALSO:
book sherlock - humble, is a slave of the truth rather than its master ["i have been bested four times, once by a woman and thrice by men"]
bbc sherlock - must always be right
book sherlock - drinks the respect woman juice ["if that young lady had a brother or a husband he ought to put a riding-crop around your shoulders"]
bbc sherlock - is so damn rude to mary in his first scene itself
book sherlock - adhd coded but tries his best to emotionally support people and spare them mental pain [the beryl coronet, the sussex vampire]
bbc sherlock - savant coded, but he comes off as enjoying the emotional anguish of people?
book sherlock - tries to communicate with watson when the criminals are dangerous and give him the facts [eg: the blind banker - telling watson the criminal was more dangerous than he feared and informing him of his background] , if he must subject watson to danger holmes always accompanies him [eg: the devil's foot - sits in the room with watson during poison trial and also apologizes after, hound of the baskervilles - accompanies him secretly and intervenes at the point at which watson may have gone with sir henry to stapleton's and so come to harm], doesn't consider it an obligation for watson to save him
bbc sherlock - let's expose watson to mad scientists, my extremely dangerous brother, international criminals and more - and never give him a word of warning, let alone apology
this conclude my rant for today. thank you
after rewatching some of the bbc show (haven't watched it since i was into it ~2017) and reading some of the original Sherlock Holmes stories, i've made some observations
(obviously this is exaggerated for funny purposes)

sometimes i’m like aaaaaaa i talk/write like a Quirky™ fictional character, it’s GOTTA be annoying! and then people tell me that something i said (to be funny) made them laugh a lot, and perhaps i invented speech and also humor
#shut up shrimp#succeeding at making people laugh is like a drug and also the closest i'll ever get to getting a good grade at being a human#recently ive been told a phrase i used in a fic comment was funny. back in my bbc sherlock phase a writer liked another phrase i used in a#comment so much that they made john use it in their next fic. i am literally Never forgetting about this ohhhh god#anyway anyone else does this... fic edging? like i have this scene in my head i have the WORDS in my head but im like hmm in a moment.#in a minute. if i do it Right Now it won't feel as good.#(it's also possibly called Procrastination but. you know? writerly self-edging. okay?)#writing woes

it's very hard to choose, even just picking from my absolute favourites ever, but here's a very short list of some of the fics that have had the most impact on me (in the order I read them)
Notes On A Love Story by @a-candle-for-sherlock (ACD Holmes | Johnlock | G | 4k)
Watson finds a copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray in Holmes' room. Or: what happens when a queer novel upends Baker Street.
Dear Daddy by cosmosatyrus (Star Trek AOS | Mckirk | T | 90k | 40 Ch)
Joanna McCoy, daughter of CMO Leonard "Bones" McCoy, deals with being nine years old and her parents' divorce. James T. Kirk finds her to be a kindred spirit.
Your Daughter by @agrlsname (BBC Sherlock | Jonhlock | T | 9k | 6 Ch)
Five times Sherlock held John's baby and one time he held John. John didn't forgive Mary for shooting Sherlock, so the end of HLV didn't happen. When the baby comes John lives with Sherlock at Baker Street, and they take care of the newborn together. Sherlock adores her more than he's prepared for. Oh, and he might have something important to confess to John...
Teaching Tarsus by AnEscapeFromReality (Star Trek AOS | T & G | 6k & 3k | Series)
James Kirk was the rudest student Professor Heleine ever taught. He stomped out of the middle of the professor's lecture like he wasn't a mere cadet. Well, the professor was done putting up with him. If he couldn't sit through an expert lecture, then he should give the lecture about Tarsus. That would teach him some respect.
Ten minutes, ten days, and ten years after first year cadet James Kirk gave his guest lecture on Tarsus IV, people learned about it.
for the record, I end up sobbing every time I reread this series, and I reread it often.
Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach by Nnm (Good Omens (TV) | Azicrow | T | 99k | 16 Ch)
As soon as Aubrey Thyme, psychotherapist, had opened her office door and seen her new client, Anthony J. Crowley, sitting in her waiting area, she was observing and assessing him. At first glance, she paid attention to the following: --His clothing was expensive and stylish; --He wore very strange but noticeable cologne; --His relationship to the seat he occupied could only, very loosely, be described as “sitting;” --He looked angry; --He was wearing sunglasses. What Aubrey Thyme, a professional, thought, upon first seeing her new client was: you’re going to be a fun one, aren’t you?
this fic is about as classic as you can get in a fandom as new as Good Omens (the TV show, not the book). truly the pinnacle of therapy fics. it made me want to go to therapy, it made me wish my therapist was half of what Aubrey Thyme is in this fic. I have reread this fic more times than I can recall and I've listened to the podfic by @starcatcherbetty probably even more times than that.
A Little Place in the Country by @dietraumerei (Good Omens (TV) | Azicrow | G | 124k | 28 Ch)
Wanting a change, Crowley and Aziraphale decide to buy a place in the country and fix it up. It goes exactly the way you'd think, and exactly opposite of the way they thought. (Featuring a female-presenting Aziraphale and a Crowley who experiments a lot with gender. Also, a lot of discussion on drywall.)
this fic truly impacted me and changed the way I view intimacy. the softness, the romance, the communication and the intimacy in this fic quite literally left me breathless and carving a relationship just like the one they share in a way I've experienced few times before.
How a Romance Novel Saved the Galaxy by @arianaderalte (Star Wars | Many | T | 165k & 7k & 2k & 21k | Series | WIP)
In one galaxy, the novel was never read. In another, it starts a landslide. Or what happens when the Mandalorians learn that the Jedi are exactly what most of them look for in a partner.
my newest obsession lately has been star wars, and this author managed to incorporate so many tropes I love and mix it with some amazing word building and original characters to come up with a fic that feels almost built entirely to suck me in to a new obsession
I'm curious about everyone's "this fic hit me in the id so hard it changed my brain chemistry" fic. Whether it made you cry so hard it gave you a headache or scratched an itch so hard it gave you a new kink or made you laugh so hard you thought you were going to throw up, reblog and tell me the fic that rewired your brain!
