Questionable so proceed with caution vlklvjv im so sorry if i convince you to see it and you dont like i #moving on I Have. done nothing but listen to Eternal Flame for the past week its been stuck in my head ever since #BUT FR as i said I Really Liked It. i heard that theres another/original version so i wanna watch that at some point #if i care to remember and find it vjaelkjeakl but as This Movie On Its Own i had a swell time !!!#it does a really good job of teetering that line of #'this is just a quaint little sometimes-awkward get-together' and 'this is so stressful i just might throw up'#it did a good job of keeping me invested and on my toes i guess- it bitters innocuous scenarios really well which i like #like i wasnt sure WHEN whatever scene i was watching would turn sour but i always had that feeling it /would/- that lingering feeling #the horror in this is more psychological than violent- it only gets crazy by the last quarter honestly #which isnt bad! i like psych horror and Christ. the amount of times i was just grimacing in my seat like Suspense Is The Word #like imagine a dinner party where people only say controversial things and you dont want to blow up the situation #so you just try to be really polite about pivoting from the topic. but they keep going. thats basically the horror of this movie at its cor #i do have SOME comments about some bits but i wanna rewatch the movie at some point to be thorough on my comments jglejlakj #yk do a rewatch where im. NOT jokin bout with my brother- THO TBF DESPITE THAT I was still invested #like its premise is so. simple? in concept imo. but 'simple' isnt automatically bad in my eyes and i really liked how it played out #i dont watch movies much tho so maybe its been done different but there is ONE thing tht definitely made me like. i love you women in horror nothing will ever make me stop loving you women in horror

#i think theres something profoundly disturbing that the genres in which women are most prominent are horror and romance #they exist primarily as objects to elevate or torment men #so i understand that theres often misogyny pervasive in horror narratives but i nonetheless love those women as humans #i feel their hurt and their anger and their sorrow and their joy and while i hate that horror is the frame through which we get such a rich #tapestry of fully developed female characters and want them to exist more often in other genres i do have an appreciation for the ones we #have #just some thoughts after watching the babadook #ive been thinking about depictions of women in media a lot since watching the barbie movie. much to contemplate.#raspberry rambles

I've somewhat made a horror movie blog (not on tumblr) so now I need to figure out what to post there. There's several topics I'd be interested in exploring, but idk how to make them sound interesting or good

#ray speaks #the evil dead #just watched the 1st evil dead movie for the 1st time!!!! been meaning to watch these movies forever; happy to have finally started #that movie was so much though oh boy. i was expecting it to be a little more goofy and a little less genuinely horrifying;#i get the sense that the sequels get more silly? at least from what ive heard #the first movie definitely has some good goofyness to it but it's also a whole lot of good Horror #a liiiittle too heavy on the blood n gore for me personally but i was expecting it so it's fine; i can appreciate it for what it is #good movie. definitely one of the horror movies of all time. really felt like a film that knew how to embrace its genre #it's just a really good horror movie!!!!! what more can i say #...i can say that it is past midnight and i should stop rambling and go to bed cuz i gotta be up early tomorrow and im tired anyway.#good night 👍

Y’know, I think the reason I like A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors so much is because it's one of the few horror movies that takes place in a psych ward that doesn't villify the patients. Like, these mentally ill teenagers are the heroes of the story instead of being portrayed as monsters, and I think that's really cool considering the time it was released.

#plus the kills in that one are super iconic #and it brings back some of the main characters from the original!#idk ive just been thinking about that movie a lot lately and I really wanna watch it again #definitely the best NoES in my opinion #and the characters are all so likeable and it makes their deaths more impactful #its iconic #nightmare on elm street #a nightmare on elm street #dream warriors #horror movies #slashers

idk why but im sooo pumped abt halloween this year for no reason like i already got some halloween candy ready for the kids in my neighbourhood and theres still a month left
