I think more people should take a go at writing osc fics where the chars stay objects. I can't begin to tell u how fun it is... you can be sooo creative. and slip so many lil headcanons into it.
What other fandom will give you the experience to describe how an Object would live? I love writing OJ because he's delicate, he's aware of himself where if he's not careful he'll crack. Glass heats up under sunlight, standing under trees worries him because he hates leaves falling into him.
It's so much fun I can essentially just ramble but it works.

have I ever told you how much i adore the concept of clockwork stars. They're the perfect balance of whimsical and deeply, deeply ominous. long-forgotten technology you don't have the first clue toward understanding. easily the most powerful of the ancients' creations. control of even one of the miraculous comets is enough to make you a god. it will do exactly as you ask, but only once. be careful what you wish for.
to think that the ancients had both the drive and ability to fabricate a literal wishing star just... boggles me. why do they exist? for what purpose were they intended? why weren't there any safeguards? how could the ancients have disappeared if they had devices as powerful as these at their disposal? why would they let themselves disappear?… and why would they have allowed something so dangerous to continue to roam the galaxy, eons after they were gone?
it's a fairy. it's a supercomputer. it is the curling finger on the monkey's paw. it's the size of a planet. god, its size. it must be the largest foe kirby has ever fought. there's no contest. To even put a dent in it requires taking it down from the inside. intercepting its immune response, sabotaging its structural support, and failing to smother its eternal, mechanical heartbeat. the sheer scale of this monster! how marvelous it must be to see it in action! translating a request into code, initializing a wish. valves open, gears turn; a cacophony of metallic pings, booms, and clicks. it's the loudest sound you've ever heard. steam whistles from an opening as it boils into the vastness of space. you can't escape the sound, and you can't look away. you're dying. were you careful with what you wished for?
i think it's really fitting how a lot of fan content uses "Nova" as a stand-in for "God" when they want characters to swear to something. there are a lot of godlike characters in Kirby to choose from, a number of whom are actually acknowledged as gods to certain groups within the text of the games themselves -- Dark Nebula, Necrodeus, Void Termina. Not to mention all of the contenders for angel or demigod status. but, no, it's Nova that we swear to? A lifeless machine with no will of its own? a tool with no protections, that any entrepreneuring tyrant could use to make the universe contort to their liking? It just… really speaks to how awe-inspiring and terrifying clockwork stars actually are. there is no "BE NOT AFRAID" when it descends. it does not have the capacity to care how you feel. a simple ">READY" is all it will say. and, honestly, I think that's even scarier.
clockwork stars are the closest thing the kirby universe has to a doomsday device, and i can't get enough of it

hi i think its rlly nice that, despite what Misty's been through, she keeps a mostly positive mindset and keeps trying to make friends. and i think its underdiscussed when it comes to them
misty is known as being tragic and sad and lonely, and while this is true, they also try to stay optimistic. despite their past with Barnacle Bessie and other suits, they continue trying to reach out and make friends.
When the toons first approach her in her battle, she invites them to learn Ip Dip with her. And at the end of her battle, she says she "hopes to share that pain with someone like you". She remains hopeful for friendship and connection despite what she's endured.
But i think this persistence can also be very harmful when she's desperate for that connection, shown through her relationship with William. They haven't left him alone, to the point he's claiming to have been harassed and stalked by them. Misty's desperation for friendship and connection has caused them to hurt other people, and I dont think that should be ignored either.
Misty deserves friendship like any other, but the way she goes about it can be harmful to both herself and the people around her. But her desperation also makes sense when you see how often she is turned down and rejected, for reasons she doesn't seem to understand (hence lines like, "I've done nothing wrong" and "I want to be friends with you toons. I don't see why it can't happen". They don't seem to fathom why toons and suits cannot be friends, despite the obvious war going on. They're very focused on themselves and the pain they've endured that they fail to pay attention to OTHERS' pain. Others like the toons and William.)

theories for Generation Loss The Founders Cut!!
Starting with the diagrams for the Mask, Glasses and Hat in connection to FC and some of the new info we got :)))))
a few spoilers for FC changes!! especially for the last episode... so many important changes made damn
First, its pretty clear now that the Mall segments of episode 3 were staged by Hetch and/or Showfall. Between him saying that he was given control by the Founder and him manipulating lots of the elements of the show, this is definitely something purposeful.
The Mask is the thing that i feel confident in having an understanding in. Ranboo is never let free of control, and is always kept under it, but with various levels.
Red Light's on means complete control. Being able to do anything Hetch wants him to do and being 'in character'
Flashing means having some level of autonomy, but still in character (example: when they're at the tv asking what to do theyre not screaming and begging to escape, theyre trying to survive the cabin, not realising its not real)
No lights means complete autonomy, but the events of the story is very real to them. they can make decisions and react like its real but are still playing a role in the story. (In Episode 3, the lights are gone until the very end)
The Flashing in the finale shows that Ranboo is still in character but can also see the reality of the situation. Life or Death.
these three levels can be applied to the other characters as well. The carousel gang (Vinny, Niki, Ethan and Austin) were the third level of control. The situation was very real to them, and pleading with the audience to free them was for their real freedom.
Sneeg is different though. I believe he was under complete control the whole time, just like Ranboo was. They maintained character, when Ethan died and Austin was screaming. This is made so much more clear when Austin was yelling "Do you guys even care?!" and Sneeg says something like "Damn thats a lot of blood."
The Hat is different to The Glasses and The Mask. While Ranboo and Charlie have implants in their brains, The Hat is just some kind of interceptor for brainwaves. Sneeg doesn't have the implants the Hat does. I think different hats have different roles programmed into them? like the white hat is his Cabin character and the black mesh hat is for the Warehouse. When the two situations crossed (wearing the Cabin hat in the Warehouse), it messed up whatever brainwashing Sneeg had for the Warehouse and made him confused as to why he wasn't in the Cabin anymore. When he ran off, he could have potentially encountered something he wasn't supposed to see (prompting him to say "What kind of a place is this!?" but it could also be bcs its a Warehouse and he doesn't understand that in the moment)
OR Sneeg is a newer member of the cast. They didn't have the time to plant the electronics into his head, but Charlie and Ranboo have been there so much longer and have been more efficiently integrated into the system. Sneegs hats are temporary, and in the future (or if he rebels sooner) he'll get implants too.

Thank u 🫰🏻 it's really been A Day™ so it's so so appreciated rn, I hope you're well friend
17. most frequently worn pair of shoes?
Definitely my checkered old skool vans (I need a new pair this year fs)
23. strange habits?
Idk if it's strange but in college I started this habit of putting my finger on my nose when I had something to say but didn't want to interrupt, it helped me remember what I wanted to say while waiting and when ppl caught on they'd do it too, now I don't need to do it as often so ppl don't catch it or know what I'm doing so it's strange to others sometimes lol
29. best way to bond with you?
Sharing memes/posts is always fun especially when it's an online bond (really gives you a peek at other people's taste and interests) or just talking about movies/shows/music and getting into hot takes or head canons or whatever 💖

*inhales* well,
♫ you know everything is gonna be a breeze, the end will no doubt justify the means you can fix any problem with the slightest of ease ♫
(yes please)
♫ but you might find out it'll go to your head when you write a report on a book you never read, with the snap of your fingers you can make your bed ♫
(that's what i said)
♫ EVERYTHING IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS WHEN YOU CAN GET ALL YOU WANTED IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS
YOU MIGHT RUN INTO TROUBLE IF YOU GO TO EXTREMES BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS
BE CAREFUL NOT TO MESS WITH THE BALANCE OF THINGS BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS NOT WHAT IT...
seems.
