riwoo with a puppy reader would just be sooo lovely to see! he'd dote on you so much, whether it be for listening to you or just being beside him. i can see one of his favorite things to do with you being to command you with puppy-like things (like sit, turn, etc.) and when you do as he says, he extends his hand to give you a treat. he's just so loving in that way, cooing at you as you lie on his lap. when he has you like this, he'd scratch the base of your puppy ears, where he knows you're so sensitive, to listen to your whimpers. his voice would go low as he asks you how you feel, what more he should do to make you feel good, etc. his lips would even pout at you as he teases you, leading you to feel smaller than you already are. riwoo loves it the most when you look at him with your big puppy eyes as you give in and ask him to touch you. "you want my touch so badly pup?" he'd ask as he pulls you closer to him on his lap. the rather low chuckles that escape from his mouth would have you confused for a second before he's flipping you over to have you lay on your stomach on top of him, his fingers hooking around your bottoms. as he's pulling them down slowly, your short but rapidly wagging tail gives away your answer before you could register his words. also, i can so see him loving to have you bite him, especially his shoulders and thighs! your sharp teeth would give just enough pain that he likes without biting him hard enough to leave wounds. he'd call you his good puppy when you do so, him weakly smiling at you through hooded eyes as his fingers run through your hair. you'd be sat in between his legs and he'd just admire you so much, your dog like features making you all the more adorable <3

Day 30 - Poison, Delirium, "You're not making sense."

Ryan was eager to learn. He'd always been, but right now he was neck-deep in nursing school, and he was allowed to shadow a more experienced nurse.

She introduced herself as Wendy Miller, though her name tag suggested a different first name, but she told Ryan she'd throw him out with the trash if he used it, sooo Wendy it was.

Wendy was a temp nurse, called in from a different hospital to provide an extra set of hands while the clinic was swamped with patients and operating at only half capacity after an attack. And Ryan helped Wendy however he could, hoping to learn from her without getting in her way.

Until he learned a little too much, and saw something he was never supposed to see...

When he regained consciousness, Ryan honestly first thought he just had a terrible hangover. But then he heard the familiar rhythmic beep of hospital equipment, and he remembered he hadn't even been out drinking at all — never mind him technically being too young to even be allowed to drink.

He blinked his eyes open, trying to adjust to the bright lights in the room. Why was he in a bed, and not standing next to it? Gently reassuring the patient for whatever scary procedure they were facing?

He tried to sit up, but that just made the room spin, as well as his stomach. He quickly dropped his head back onto his pillow, coughing as he nearly choked on the bile he desperately swallowed down.

Help. He needed help.

He blindly groped for the button to call a nurse, when the door already opened and a woman in pink scrubs walked in. The pink really stuck out to Ryan. It wasn't uncommon for staff to wear whatever colour of personal scrubs they liked, since the clinic had no rules against doing so. No, the pink stuck out because it jogged Ryan's memory.

"W-Wendy...."

He frowned at how weak and muted his voice sounded, reaching for his face, only to smack his hand against the oxygen mask that covered his mouth and nose. He pulled it away, barely having the strength to fight the resistance from the elastic band that was supposed to hold it in place.

"W-Wendy..."

"Oh." the nurse just replied, "Not only are you awake, you also remember me."

Why doesn't that sound reassuring?

She gently grabbed a hold of his wrist and pulled the mask from his hand and put it back on his face, not letting go just yet. In fact, her grip tightened, painfully so. Ryan's breath fogged up the mask as it picked up, and one of the machines let out a gentle beep as his heart-rate suddenly spiked.

"That dose was supposed to kill you before anyone would find you." Wendy hissed, "But unfortunately someone walked in on us, so I had to resuscitate you. Not to worry, though. I brought an extra dose~"

She finally let go of him, stepping back so she could pull a syringe from her pocket. Ryan weakly shook his head, groping around for the help button again, but it wasn't where it was supposed to be. Meanwhile Wendy casually checked the IV bags that Ryan hadn't even noticed before, before injecting whatever was in that syringe into the valve where all the tubes connected and ran straight into his arm.

Ryan reached over to disconnect the tube from the cannula, but Wendy grabbed his wrist again, trying to pin him down.

"Not so fast!" she said, "Just give in and maybe you'll die before it starts hurting."

"N-no..."

Ryan couldn't believe what was happening, yet at the same time he vividly remembered the struggle they had previously. The substance she forced him to ingest. He never did find out what it was exactly, but he had a very strong hunch now.

Something lethal.

And now she'd given him more of it. Even if he did manage to disconnect the cannula, it was probably already too late. And yet, when the door suddenly opened, Wendy suddenly changed strategies and tore it out herself.

"Ow—"

"Oh! Dr Slade, thank goodness!" Wendy exclaimed, "H-he tore out his cannula, he's beside himself!"

"W-what? N-no! D-doctor!"

"It's arite, Ryan," Dr Slade gently said, "you're safe. I'll explain what's going on, but I need you to calm down, for me. You've had a cardiac episode and I'd rather not agitate the organ until we get the test results back. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Ryan looked at the doctor in disbelieve. Did he...did he not know? Did he not see the warning glare on Wendy's face as she continued to hold him down?

"H-help me..." he wheezed desperately. "G-get her off. S-she...she did this. S-she...W-Wendy.....D-drugs..."

"See?" Wendy simply replied, faking a worried expression as she looked back at Slade, "Completely off his rocker."

She turned back to Ryan, her worried look changing back to that warning glare.

"Look at me, honey." she said, "You're not making any sense, dear. Just stop talking and breathe with me, okay?"

Ryan shook his head, each breath becoming an increasing struggle, just before some of the equipment started beeping in alarm.

"Oxygen sats just plummeted, doctor!" Wendy reported.

"Put him down, let me check his airway," Dr Slade said, moving the bed forward a bit so he could fit behind it, while Wendy finally let go of Ryan to lower the back of the bed until he was lying flat on his back.

Ryan tried to use this opportunity to pull his oxygen mask away, but Wendy stopped him as she returned to take his pillow away. Then Slade appeared above him, removing the mask entirely. Ryan knew what could happen next. He knew he could pass out, and he knew if he couldn't breathe properly they would shove a tube down his throat next. So this was his last chance.

"W....Wendy...." he choked out.

"Wendy's right here, lad. We'll take good care of you," Slade gently said.

No! She caused this!

But the sound he managed to produce didn't even sound like any existing word, and the brief flash of shock on Dr Slade's face was the last thing Ryan saw before his eyes rolled back as he lost consciousness.

And the last thing he heard?

Fucking Wendy.

"I-is he going to be alright, doctor?"

the goal of the fic is real and raw! it’s an unusual setting (maybe not for me considering this is my second racing centric fic) but everything that happens is a product of the environment! the wins from his own team left scar feeling bitter at times, but watching grian win had him so proud he knew he’d get in trouble w his own team if he showed it lol. it’s all about where they are and it makes me sooo happy (like you would not believe) when people who aren’t f1/sports fan still enjoy the fic!

last ch was a lot and contained a lot of really vital stuff that i couldn’t wait to see the reactions of. grian finally opening up is so important to me and scar letting it happen in its own time is a huge part of why grian begins letting him in, which is evidently not something he’s used to at all. mans has been through it in this universe

as for the questions: i don’t have an upload schedule but i try to churn out the chs when i have time. it fits that valentine’s was right before midterms season for me so i got to get something out before i get swamped by all that 🥲 i don’t like to let a full month go by without posting but we’ll see how my semester keeps going lol

and i’ve been thinking of content once i’ve finished starboy. i’ve had ideas of grian’s pov hitting all the major plot points or even a jimmy spin-off one shot but nothing is planned for now. definitely floating around in my mind

mumscarian is not the endgame but the mystery behind grian and mumbo will be revealed! grian is mysterious and mumbo being mumbo goes along w it, but it does come full circle eventually!

i didn’t even realize there’s already only 5 chs left! that’s crazy, considering how much of the story i have left!

birding has been such a rewarding hobby but its also kind of insane. keep going places i didnt even realize i could go to bc i get a glimpse of a bird nearby. didnt even realize theres a swamp right next to the intersection of the highway and the big commercial road where i like. ran across the highway entrance (its a small highway at least) bc i saw a fun colored bird of prey on a telephone poll while dropping my gf off at work. heard a weird bird ive never heard before in the process but could not see it at all with my shitty goodwill binoculars bc its supposedly tiny and gray and was all the way across the swamp. got my socks sooo soggy seeing other stuff walking carefully around the accessible perimeter though

not to give unsolicited advice but if you can, get them to do fun things with their characters!! that’s the best part imo. get them to make pinterest boards and playlists and ask them silly questions each rehearsal like “if your character was a subject in school what would they be??”. things like that are what helped develop my love for characters i didn’t particularly love at first read, so maybe that can help them?? i’m not sure ahhh but im sure they’ll respect you regardless lover

UMM i like...omg i love the flower forests. i remember years ago maybe in 2014 i got a seed that was just this fun little island and the whole biome was just a flower forest, i couldnt see any other land for miles but it was so cute... ALSO SWAMPS i love swamps. im also really excited about that mountain update

honestly i just like digging into the side of a wall and making a little house in there and i think it comes from years ago when i was on a mo creatures server. you know how sometimes these little.. crevices in the ground that will just be a tiny little underwater cave that doesnt go anywhere, its just a circle - i found one of those on this mo creatures server, drained all the water out and with the help of this random player i made a whole zoo that multiple underground layers. it was sooo good i spent so much time on it and ive been chasing that high for years now LOL, also i mentioned this but i dont like killing animals or having mobs on lmao, i dont like killing animals cuz it makes me feel Mean when i can just mow grass and get seeds so easy and mobs stress me out lawl

Hii, yes solo leveling is sooo good. I speed read it on the first day of uni classes and I crashed and burned that day but it was worth it loll. Honestly, everyday I just log on to see if it’s updating. I’ve already read translations but the art is so pretty. Especially right now where he goes back to the double gate. I’m hyped af. I don’t want to say too much since I don’t know how far you’re in but I’m vv excited. 

Ahh same. School has been breaking my back too and I’m so burnt out from taking notes. I type two words and I’m ready to take a break. Ahh, timeskip hq characters glowed up so much. Sakusa is a major hit to my heart. I also love the fact Osamu buys his rice from Kita that was so cute. 

Unpopular opinion but I actually don’t really care for Karasuno. I love them 100% but I prefer other teams. I mean, I like everyone in Karasuno cause they have screen time but other team’s I have at least 2 or 3 people that I really really like. But they are the main character’s and it kills me inside when I see Nekoma and Inarizaki loose but it’s okay. 

My phone never has any storage so I can never take too many pictures aha. Gacha apps have my phone strangled. FGO and BSD hahh. Too much gacha plus I have gbf and genshin. No time ;u;

it's alright!! it's a busy and sad time for a lot of us so i can understand that ;; my week has been fine for the most part, other than getting mad at mnet yesterday and stuff like that sjfhdhd

anyways i have so many biases besides dongpyo as well but we'll start with him!

dongpyo - hes...the best boy. i was introduced to him via a friend before produce started airing so i've always had an eye on him. he's talented first of all, but getting to know him and his passion and struggle made me get attached really quickly. the center boys always get so much hate so i wanted to protect and support him :( regardless i love the crafty ones and dongpyo is such a strategist and he knows what his appeals are! i know it's been hard for him but he's still unafraid to be himself and i love that for him. he's part of dance line for a reason AND his vocals are super underrated. his part in i'm here for you always catches me off guard cos he sounds so powerful! he's so charming on stage he makes like always his bitch,, i love him for how strong he is <3

eunsang - i actually never paid much attention to eunsang during pdx but he rose up my bias list sooo quickly just because hes...such a charming and talented boy! he looks really handsome first of all like his visuals are on Point and his voice is the type i like! soft and not like...main vocal high note belting kinda powerful but still pleasing to listen to (sorta like daehwi in wanna one). he's also so funny like sjfjd i didn't expect him to be such a bully but he is and i love him for that. he's also the only one who knew the choreo to light so he appealed to my wnb heart x

seungwoo - not to be small brain on this answer but seungwoo sexy kdgfngjd but honestly i only started paying attention to him during pdx because of dongpyo so ofc i just love how much of a clingy baby he is to dongpyo 😭 i also tend to stan the all rounder types so the moment i found out he rapped too it was k.o for me.

seungyoun - i didn't have him in my top 11 till the last ep but ive always liked him!! it was only until after pdx that i really started stanning but now i just really love him and his talent...his songs...his persevrance cos lbr most of us would've long since given up on chasing our dreams if we went through as much as he did :( he's such a loving hyung who makes everyone feel comfortable and loved and i'm so glad he made it into the group because he supports seungwoo really well as like a sub leader of sorts! (wooseok too but thats another story)

minhee - i actually had a very neutral opinion on him during pdx mostly because i didn't notice him at all until pretty girl skfjdj but his voice is so pretty his face is so pretty his dance is so pretty his smile so is pretty wow hes so pretty... but honestly his president persona is so funny like how is he 16 at his debut stage at gocheok skydome of all places and hes acting like its his 20th concert there??? he's such a character and i love the way he plays with the other members

Sooo hey! I’ve been pretty good! kinda swamped with important college stuff and some commissions but managing! after my sophmore review I should be back to posting again (if not sooner!!) As for how I came up with haku.... When I first created the blog, I didn’t really have this sort of character in mind. I really let it evolve as I continued to answer. I think before the beach event last year I had decided she was going to be a scrapped model and was just trying find subtle ways to introduce that on the blog! I guess you could say I’m fascinated with how androids/robots for vocaloids would work, so since haku is a voyakloid, a failed vocaloid really, I wanted to play around with that idea a bit ^^ I drew a lot of inspiration from my fascination with like scars and just how you get them and just to make the character my own. Im also v weak for heterochromia XD @askatiredkomachi  & anon i hope you like her! I have a lot of fun writing for my timid lil haku... i love her so much I made a phone case with her on it ;o;

I also really love your art style on your blog??? i really hope people like this blog, despite my really inconsistent posting schedule and art at times...  Before making this blog, I was having a hard time deciding who to go with. I did a little design test to see whether I should go with Kaito or Haku like a long long time ago, and my friend who runs another ask blog said they liked haku! So i continued to develop her. I also wanted to go with a more unpopular loid you don’t see that often! most of the other haku blogs I had seen didn’t update that often... ((tbh ive recently thought about making another for a Len from Uproar of Teacher and Student, but my schedule now I have no time XD))
