Pastinya aku pilih ikut kelas Psikologi!

1989 (TAYLOR’S VERSION) OUT AUGUST 8TH.
insp.
In this brand new polished version of this accoladed album now includes four never heard songs. There is one co-written with Annie Clark, 1/2 of the song the duo has written together (the other being Cruel Summer from the Lover album). Lyrics like “Primadonna Girl! with her feet in glitzy heels and smile to die for her / She's the queen of New York City / She's the queen of hearts / Don't fall for her / She'll write you a song” sung over a pop punk tune have scored this song a place in fan favourites. It reached #2 on iTunesUs chart within 24 hours of release, just behind pop-hit ‘Style’ featuring Harry Styles. This power duo, exes of the past turned collaborating musicians are everything the world would've asked for. Exclusive posters ‘style’ the billboards and the song is streamed in millions. There is also a song featuring Katy Perry, the pop stars reached over to fans via an Instagram Live announcing the digital single and addressing the need to end the girl fight prominent in the industry, a truce after all. Taylor has also included ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ from infamous movie, One Chance, it now has a guitar solo by Jack Antonoff. The album is also executively produced by him alongside Swift herself. Taylor covers Riptide by Vance Joy and ‘swiftly’ transforms the song into an indie ballad. In her quiet home studio she is at peace and she makes us feel the same. Shake It Off ‘Pink Jazz’ Remix is also included in the album, with a waltzing semi-acapella outro, one of its kind. Swift effortlessly moulds a pop 'new age' song to one that can be played at night bars while lights blink pink-purple and blue. To her the act of modulation of voice and re-stringing a guitar, is simple as water flowing to perhaps a new direction. For her it's always been freedom and her freedom has always been her art.
#it's boots! not seagulls y'all also i thought i'd make a poster but i gave up <3#ambersedits#tswiftedit#taylor swift#1989

Chinese Exclusion Acts
During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the United States put limits on Chinese immigration through the Chinese Exclusion Acts. Here at the National Archives at Riverside, we hold Chinese Exclusion Act Case Files for field offices in southern California. These case files are a great resource for social historians as well as those looking into their family history. Some files are those of children. In the case we are sharing today, you can see a picture of a young girl, Lau Sui Ji. The description verifies who her parents are.
Keep an eye on the National Archives Catalog as the digitized records will be available in the coming months.
To learn more about the Chinese Exclusion Acts, the National Archives has a publication on iBooks, as well as a course on iTunesU available here.
Also, check out The Chinese Exclusion Act--A Special Presentation of American Experience.

How To Focus On Homework
The searching for the question of how to focus on homework is increasing day by day. Many students are facing problems of poor performance because of their inability to complete homework on time. Many students consider homework boring or tedious that is why they feel distracted.
There are so many things out in the modern world that create distractions among students. Today technology is taking so much time of students. But we can’t put the whole blame on technology.
All parents always want their children to get good marks. Yet-how to focus on homework? This problem bothers nearly every student worldwide. The best thing here is to set your mind to avoid every possible distraction (that helps in learning!).
Why are students getting inattentive?
It is true that loads of research are continually increasing, fascinating things abound everywhere, encouraging students to socialize and make friends but having little time to do it, wanting relationships but struggling to get them started, and so on. It means that the entire package of fears, pressures, and thoughts revolve in the teen’s mind. Lack of self-regulation and boredom are also other problems faced by students. If you are facing the same problems, then continue reading this blog with focus.
Homework includes tasks or assignments given to students by their teachers that a student completes it at home or outside the class. Homework mainly involves reading, writing, learning work, projects, etc.
Tips on how to focus on homework:
Everyone wants to complete their homework in time so that they can spare their time for other activities. Here are some tips on how to focus on homework that help you in overcoming your distractions while doing homework:
1 Make homework your daily practice:
Complete homework after school is a task for every student. Your schedule may vary because of different factors, but you should be consistent with the work. Make it your daily practice.
2 Create a perfect study environment:
Completing your homework task every day will help you stick to the routine. You have to create a comfortable and quiet environment for study. It may be public libraries, your bedroom, or your friend’s home.
3 Remove unnecessary disturbance:
Many simple techniques can help you in removing unnecessary disturbance, such as wearing headphones, put your phone on silent, etc. Make sure you are doing homework on time and according to the plan.
4 Make a plan for your homework:
Many students normally spend one to three hours on homework every day. First of all, outline your homework plan. Look at your total list of assignments and make them priority according to their importance or difficulty level. So, make a plan:
The time duration you need to spend on your homework daily.
According to the schedule, you must sit and start your homework.
Take 5 minutes break between the completion of every assignment.
5 Split large projects into smaller sections:
If you have to complete large assignments (research papers or something else), you will maintain your focus by splitting them into smaller pieces and completing them every day. If homework seems too difficult or has distant due dates, it’s easy to lose your focus, and that’s using this technique is a must.
6 Give frequently breaks to your brain:
Why do you need that? Trying to solve complex sets of geometry problems in just one sitting will frustrate you and make you give up because your brain has been unable to do the same for a long time. Take daily breaks to cool it off.
7 Shift subjects from time to time:
Feel free to change your topics a few times to complete your academic assignments expertly. You should not be monotonous in your studying routine. The more senses you bring into it, the more you retain.
8 Make a reward system:
Sometimes we require extra willpower to complete our homework. Set up a reward system for yourself. Sometimes we are doing a complex project, and after some time, we feel lethargic. So a reward system gives us the motivation to complete the work on time.
9 Track your time-wasting things:
RescueTime is a nice, free service that keeps track of the places and apps you use over time, and then tells you about it is disgusting, even humiliating detail. (Don’t worry, all of your information is kept strictly confidential.) It may be enlightening because you do not know how much or how little time you have spent on any diversion.
10 Parents should help their child when needed:
Parents should help their children with homework when needed. Make sure that you are encouraging your child to complete the homework on time. Also, help them in finding the answers to questions. Work together along with that work toward self-management, so that your child becomes manageable and strong.
More Ways to Strengthen Concentration:
And now some bonus tips on how to focus on homework when tired. Read these points to avoid distracting from the study.
Take the help of unique learning apps. They can do a variety of tasks from making proper citations to giving complete study guides. They could be iHomework, RefMe, iTunesU, ScannerPro, iStudiezPro, etc. Choose the one which will solve your specific problem.
Take some exercise while you are doing homework. Shift your arms, go for a short walk, or even run around for a while with your puppy. Your pet is a great energy and love source that relieves tension and enhances your concentration. And cuddle them now and then!
Ask your parents for support if you need it. Not that they can do it instead of you, it’s so that they should verify whether you’re working on your assignment now and then. And they can help you think about a tricky essay because writing is going to be completely yours. Only don’t feel guilty or scared. It will get you closer to your family and achieve your primary target-to concentrate on homework.
Conclusion:
From the above discussion, now you get the answer to the question of how to focus on homework. The above tips help you in achieving your goals if you follow them appropriately.

Sharpen Your Career Skills At Your Convenience
New Post has been published on http://bit.ly/2lPrE1W
Sharpen Your Career Skills At Your Convenience
Quite often when an employee exits a company the position is not filled, especially in light of the economy being what has been globally.
Since the global economy has been on the down (and flat in many cases) for more than 11 years, this lack of replacement of resources is resulting in the current workforce seeing demands placed on them like never before.
Stress levels are high, with more than 80% of office workers working 6 days a week instead of five, and the days are usually 10, 12, 14 hours or more.
Yet, we all know — and are being told– that to get ahead we need to be involved in improving our own standing, meaning we need to get certified.
Skills and Education Get You Ahead
Yet, to get ahead, every employee knows they have to sharpen their skills and/or education.
But who wants to be traveling to a college, spending time in the classroom and then driving home, only to have to continue their studies with one hand and using the other hand to cook and feed themselves?
There is the option of the weekend, but most have family that is already experiencing the stress of your absence in the first place.
Taking an added stress would have your family telling you, as the saying goes, your goose is cooked.
Same is happening with many college students – many are finding they have to work their most, if not all, way through college – even if their education is being fully financed.
Though they are receiving the education they (or their parents) are paying for, many students realize that experience matters when seeking a position in their field of endeavor.
That experience doesn’t necessarily have to be hands on either, it could be certifications that get them a better start on their future. and since they already spend a lot of time in class as well as in studies and/or study groups outside the classroom, the initiative to sit in another class to gain certification is not exactly the most appealing thing to do the day after a Friday night party.
Complex Situations Usually Have Simple Solutions
Given the internet is now making many thing possible, like working from – home, the beach (not recommended!), while on vacation (HIGHLY not recommended) or even your child’s wedding (guaranteed disinheritance!), why can’t the same be do for gaining certifications towards your career?
As certifications take hours of classroom participation, no one said they had to be consecutive, just cumulative.
Three professional organizations offer just that — allowing you to gain your certification (and KEEP it), with a minimal investment – usually one hour at a time, or self-study.
And since 2012, there has been an abundance of other options as well: MOOC’s they call them – which we discuss below.,
Here are three organizations, and what they offer… followed by an an overview of MOOC’s (with a short listing of MOOC’s).
We offer our recommendations at the end of this article.

IHRIM
Website: ihrim.org
HRIM offers 3 delivery methods to accommodate individuals (as well as groups) to take the exam, including conveniently located testing centers around the world, live proctoring that allows candidates to take the exam wherever and whenever is most convenient, and via the existing delivery method of taking the exam at a host location.
The Human Resource Information Professional Certification (HRIP) exam is designed to assess the knowledge and competencies of professionals in the HR technology field.
Passing the exam indicates a demonstrated comprehensive understanding and proficiency of the defined body of knowledge in HR information management.
Passing the exam is only one part of the certification process – the recertification requirements ensure that the HR technology professional is keeping abreast of changes in the field.
The Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) credential will be active for a period of 3 full years starting from the date certification has been granted.
In order to maintain certification, a total of 60 recertification credit hours are required during the 3 year period starting from the date the certification is granted. The credential holder will be responsible for maintaining a log of credit hours and documentation.
The Certification Handbook contains information on the HRIP exam and how you can apply for this important professional credential.
Why is Certification Desirable?
Certification is intended to recognize individuals who have relevant HR technology knowledge. An HRIP (Human Resource Information Professional) credential is a way to demonstrate your competency, show your commitment to the profession, and help with job advancement. Benefits to you include:
It differentiates you from others through demonstrated competency
It shows you have knowledge of HR information management beyond that of your everyday tasks
It gives you a competitive edge when seeking promotions or a new position

MOOCs and Online Learning Academies
Mooc, short for Massive Open Online Course, is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web.
In addition to traditional course materials such as filmed lectures, readings, and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive user forums to support community interactions among students, professors, and teaching assistants (TAs).
MOOCs are a recent and widely researched development in distance education which were first introduced in 2008 and emerged as a popular mode of learning in 2012.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtRIBdoe6JQ
Here are some resources to consider (list from
BDPA
). Do note that policies and protocols will vary from one MOOC to another. Example: Udemy allows you do purchase your course and it is yours as long a you maintain your account with them.
Udemy Free Courses – Udemy is an example of a site allows anyone to build or take online courses. Udemy’s site exclaims, “Our goal is to disrupt and democratize education by enabling anyone to learn from the world’s experts.” The New York Times reported that Udemy, “recently announced a new Faculty Project, in which award-winning professors from universities like Dartmouth, the University of Virginia and Northwestern offer free online courses. Its co-founder, Gagen Biyani, said the site has more than 100,000 students enrolled in its courses, including several, outside the Faculty Project, that charge fees.”
ITunesU Free Courses – Apple’s free app “gives students access to all the materials for courses in a single place. Right in the app, they can play video or audio lectures. Read books and view presentations.”
Stanford Free Courses – From Quantum Mechanics to The Future of the Internet, Stanford offers a variety of free courses. Stanford’s – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence was highly successful. According to Pontydysgu.org, “160000 students from 190 countries signed up to Stanford’s Introduction to AI” course, with 23000 reportedly completing.” Check out Stanford’s Engineering Everywhere link.
MIT Free Courses – Check out MIT’s RSS MOOC feed. Also see: MIT’s Open Courseware.
Duke Free Courses – Duke offers a variety of courses on ITunesU.
Harvard Free Courses – From Computer Science to Shakespeare, students may now get a free Harvard education. “Take a class for professional development, enrichment, and degree credit. Courses run in the fall, spring, or intensive January session. No application is required.”
UCLA Free Courses – Check out free courses such as their writing program that offers over 220 online writing courses each year.
Yale Free Courses – At Open Yale, the school offers “free and open access to a selection of introductory courses taught by distinguished teachers and scholars at Yale University. The aim of the project is to expand access to educational materials for all who wish to learn.”
Carnegie Mellon Free Courses – Carnegie Mellon boosts “No instructors, no credits, no charge.”
And the Winner Is…
From the perspective of quality, all are winners. You will be well equipped to for your career through any one of these certification programs.
From the perspective of convenience, HR.com wins without a problem. Though IHRIM and HRIC do offer worthy certifications, getting there is much more challenging in the current economic and business environment. With IHRIM and HRIC, you ave to depend on self-study as well as making your time available to be elsewhere from both work and family. With HR.com, you can do this after everyone has gone to sleep for the night, before they all get up in the morning, or just by securing a quiet place at your office (with a computer and internet connection).
Also, with the rate of growth of the internet, cloud computing, and mobile computing, IHRIM’s and HRIC’s approach, though noble, lack the wisdom of latching on the needs of servicing their members accordingly. This will place a spotlight on HR.com’s approach that allows you to gain your certification much more conveniently. It is worth noting that the certification gained by HR.com is the same certification gained from HRIC.
Why walk down the river to cross another bridge when there is already one here, ready and prepared for you?
Disclaimer: The HRIS World had served on the advisory board for the ERP/HRIS Community for HR.com as well as operates as an affiliate for Udemy.com. All fairness and objectivity of this article is given to the experience of others in gaining their certification through anyone of the above organizations. All 3 organizations represent a highly professional and worthy program, each delivers their service as they see fit. Please use your own discretion in choosing which program best fits your needs while gaining your certification.

I just read Clark’s book on the origins of the conflict, and I’m much more interested in the political aspects of the war than on the purely military ones so I’m not sure this is the right source to listen to when it comes to what actually happened during the war itself. Do you have any other recommendations that I could look up on audio?
Carlin’s series is excellent on the military side, less so on the political or cultural side.
In terms of recommendations, I would look to iTunesU for history courses from various universities. There’s probably a couple that have lectures on WWI from the angle you’re looking for.
