Decided to learn Hangul, and I can't figure out if it's really this difficult to learn or if Duolingo is just not great at teaching a different writing style. I don't remember the Thai script being this hard to master.

I was thinking about Udemy because I haven't visited the site in months. When I logged back in, I noticed a new feature called "Personal Plan" on the homepage. As a web developer, I naturally clicked on the corresponding section and found something interesting~!!!

You can have access to all the listed courses and more for only £15 per month - however it is billed yearly (I hate when they do that...)! I thought, "Oh, that's great!" But, since I'm currently not employed and not earning any income, I don't think I'll enroll just yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it in the future!

There are other sections too like Data Science and Ethical Hacking, and even non-tech subjects too!

I saw your earlier posts on learning W. African languages (i.e Yoruba) and I would have to recommend just learning from the native learners themselves I.e udemy courses or hiring a private tutor. I tried using mango languages to learn Igbo but when I showed my parents (native Igbo speakers), they said that it removed the context of the words. Like, igbo is a language made primarily from people / farmers living in the village so much of the phrases / words are put in that context of returning to the village or greeting someone like a chief and mango languages removes that context and makes you sound … weird. Basically, learning from native learners is probably the best practice

To whoever this was, this is great advice and something I considered at large (*specifically learning African languages from national universities/institutions on the continent, since the dialects can be so regionally intricate). Really appreciate it, thanks :)

Taking a pixel art for video games course on Udemy. One of the sections is on creating sprites in 8x8 then 16x16 and then 32x32. I'm still working on 32x32 they're a lot more detailed but I've done the first to I chose to use the Fifth element for practice there's tons of fun characters in that movie I love it!

Finally mastered the concept of Recycler View after rewatching, annotating and rereading for hours on end. My brain is exhausted lol.

Every day is a low-motivation day due to fasting, so I'm making sure I don't use up all my energy. I'll probably remarry the grind next month XD

Someone messaged me yesterday about the Udemy courses I have bought. The conversation was about what are the best ones out there and which ones to use as a reference in learning how to code! I screenshotted the courses for them to look at but then thought why not share it on my blog as well!

today i learned about the image tag and some of the different attributes u can use with it :) coding is so satisfying to me because i can see the results as i go along and i can problem solve if i notice something isnt working right. im working through the website tutorial so that hopefully when im done i will have enough knowledge to create my own!!
