Save Her
Guys I came up with a new DPxDC AU where we get Deaged!Dani(Ellie), Mom!Cass, and Dad!Danny.
"Cass... Are you sure you want to do this?" Tim asked one more time before he would put the last code in. He knew she was sure, more than willing to deal with it but he just needed one more confirmation before they all started what couldn't be stopped.
Cass stared at Tim, her face straight and her eyes firm without a hint of doubt. She nodded in his direction, despite the growing nervousness in her stomach for a second even with Stephanie squeezed her hand in reassurance and support.
Cass turned her gaze to the little girl, no older than thirteen, suspended in a tank full of green glowing goo and asleep. Her vitals showing up on screens near the tank coming from the wires that were hooked up to her inside the tank.
She said her name was Danielle Masters but had also said she wouldn't mind a new name once she was no longer just a clone but instead Cass's new daughter. She had only asked to include her 'dad', a Danny Fenton/Phantom, in her future naming decision too
Cass took a breath and said softly but determined "Save her."
Tim nodded back and entered the final code into the computer.
-x-x-
Basically-
Cass, while in Hong Kong, finds a destabilizing Dani.
Cass see's the desperation and fear Dani is in and helps as best as she can.
She manages to help but they both seem to know the next time this happens will be Dani's last.
Dani is very, very sick at this point and needs help even standing up.
Cass see's and remembers herself at this age and wants to help.
They do become friends and learn each other backstories
Cass goes to the one person she knows who might to be able to help with the destabilizing clone problem.
Tim, Tim is that person. (Because he's friends with Conner, and no doubt knows Conner's DNA and how it works, AND the fact he tried his hand at the whole cloning thing.... Tim told Cass everything once things settled down after his BruceQuest was done)
They fill him in on what is happening and he starts helping, mostly cause Cass asked and because "Clone rights!" (side note, he asked if its okay to tell Conner, when yes, Conner comes over and chats with Dani the entire time whenever he has free time) (the image of Conner sitting at her bedside as they chat is in my head btw)
Tim finds out the reason Dani is destabilizing so badly is because she's not 'complete', she needs a female donor technically because she's female not male (unlike Conner who is stable because he is male with male donors)
They find out that after trying to see of ways to save her that Cass was the closest that could donate her DNA (they also discover there might be a connection between ectoplasm and the Pits, they don't wanna run the risk of asking a LOA member) (If I remember right Cass grew around the Pits for a while and was even tossed in them after a fight with Shiva)
Tim also brings them news that Danielle's body is rapidly destabilizing due to her body/hormones trying to 'mature' her since she is at that age and she has less than a week.
Everyone knows there is no time to think of trying to save her in any other ways.
Tim says that if they do this, they have to technically 'remake' her body to the actual age she is (a couple months old/a few years old? Depends on the writer) and there was a high chance of her not remembering her old self. That the male DNA in her, the one that seemed to be the most is Daniel 'Danny' Fenton's DNA will be considered father DNA and if Cass does this, her's will be the mother DNA. (Vlad's DNA, because he would try to put his own in, would be 'pushed out')
Cass would become Dani's mother.
Both Cass and Dani talk about it.
Cass wants to help her, she had become friends with Dani and loves her like a little sister already but will try to love her as a daughter as well.
Dani wants to live an actual life.
They agree to it.
Tim sets everything up, Conner is helping around/keeping Dani comfortable/happy.
Cass told Steph and Babs whats happening and they're helping/being supportive once they find out everything.
Meanwhile Tim and Babs has Dick, and Damian go to Amity Park to find out whats happening there/bring Danny to her so they can explain what happened to Dani. (Dick and Damian have no clue why just yet but will find out when they get back, but oh boy is Amity a mess between the GIW, ecto-acts, crazy fruitloop mayor/villain ghost, and other stuff)
Cass and Tim tell Jason and he's helping Alfred (who basically already knows) set up a room for the newest arrival. Jason is gonna stick around if to just see Bruce's face when he gets called a 'grandpa' for the first time.
Duke takes this all in stride when told and just goes along with things now because this is life with the Batfam. He also helps with the room and keeping Dani company until the day.
Bruce was on a space mission thus comes home to find a new group of teens with his kids. One (with black hair and violet/purple eyes) is talking about a purple back gorillas with Damian and swapping vegan recipes, another (wearing a red beanie and has glasses) is getting into tech talk with Tim and Babs, a girl with red hair is talking classic books with Jason and giving Duke advice with school and stress, and another boy (one who could pass as one of his own adopted kids) is cracking jokes/puns with Dick, and telling Steph stories about his Rogues(!?).
Bruce isn't ready when Cass comes up behind him, nearly dancing in her spot and hands him something.
He is given a baby/toddler that looks like Cass but had darker hair and bright blue eyes.
He almost faints when Cass signs to him that he's holding his granddaughter, her baby.
He does faint when Cass notices the signs and takes her baby back before he falls over.

Countdown: 6 (Part 1)
Series Masterlist | Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
Summary: obligatory Rita’s chapter
TW’s: alcohol and drinking, creeper behaviour, mischief, Cassian Cameo
A/N: there’s a lot of POV swapping in this one (including someone who isn’t the main two). It’s also split into two parts as I’m trying to keep each chapter not super long! Enjoy x
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Azriel POV
He’s 3 drinks in and feeling a little fuzzy-warm around the edges before Cassian’s elbow makes itself known against his ribs.
“Will you reign it in? You’re scaring the ‘sexy-table’.”
Hazel eyes flick to Mor— who clearly coined that term, and he raises an eyebrow. But she’s not looking at Azriel, brow furrowed and gaze settled on something over his shoulder.
“Not all of the sexy-table——who’s the one with her back to us, in green?”
He groans before he even looks, overlapping whispers of ‘pretty’ forcing his hand and making him acknowledge what he’s been pretending not to since you walked in.
But there you are. Radiant and clad in another dress that he’s sure will star in his subconscious next time he rests— deep green and shimmering under the lights and attention of whoever-the-fuck the golden haired male next to you is.
And his brother is right. Shadows circle the legs of the table and its patrons, the golden male and the two pretty females opposite you all wide-eyed and nervous by the intrusion. But, of course, not you— you’re simply sipping on your wine and letting the darkness twine between your fingers, laughing and instructing the others to ‘calm down. They’re friendly’.
They’re not. But you’ll never see that side of them.
He rips his eyes away before you turn and catch him staring, just incase his face shows more than he’d like.
“Cass, grab me another drink.”
“That bad, eh?”
He doesn’t answer, but the hard look he sends Cassian’s way makes his brother laugh, clasping his shoulder before standing from their table.
“I’ll make it a double, then.”
——————
Reader POV
If you weren’t a bottle deep by the time you entered Rita’s, you would’ve turned around and ran the moment you saw him.
Actually, no, you never would’ve agreed to come here in the first place—- let alone sit within throwing distance of the male who caused your ‘bitchy demeanour’ for the last week. Especially not in the company of Caed and the most trouble-stirring couple you’ve ever had the honour of knowing.
But when Saoirse and Rebekah had rushed into your shop moments after closing theirs, bottles in hand and mischief in their eyes, you knew you were screwed before they even mentioned what a ‘grumpy bitch’ you’d been the last week.
At first they thought it had been the blind date with Caed— courtesy of their scheming, but no. Rebekah had cottoned on quickly, her ever-sharp mind coming to new conclusions of a different male, and you’d downed your bottle to busy your mouth from spilling the regret that still sits heavy on your chest.
And somehow they’ve convinced Caed to meet you here— a pretty distraction, they’d said. No better way to get over someone than to get under someone else.
Yet each brush of his fingers over the flesh of your thigh does nothing but add to the sour feeling in your gut. The panic in his eyes when his feet are lost to darkness almost makes you smile, and you reassure them all they mean no harm, wondering if Azriel knows his shadows have snuck away to greet you.
You get your answer when they’re ripped away, clearly called back with all the gentleness of tearing away a bandage, and you down your drink to try and smother the way your heart sinks.
“Thank the mother for that,” Caed laughs, hand now fully resting on your bare thigh. “I don’t understand how you’re so calm, those things are fucking creepy.”
Saoirse gives you a knowing look over the top of her glass, and suddenly you’re standing.
“Anyone need a refill?” They’re barely given time to shake their heads before you’re moving, weaving between dancing bodies and apologising needlessly as they step on your toes.
You’re far, far too sober for this, and you squeeze into the only gap at the bar—- likely there as some folk are too scared of Illyrian wings. But you’re not, not anymore.
“Three shots of whatever’s strongest, and a glass of wine, please.” The barkeep takes your order and spins away, and you try so very hard to ignore the eyes on the side of your face.
“That bad, eh?” Fuck. You force yourself to meet his gaze, polite smile painted across your features, until you realise exactly who you were planning to tell to mind their own business.
“Ah, you’re—-“ for fuck sake. This is exactly why you avoid Rita’s like the plague, opting instead for some of the grottier bars when you just can’t shake the urge to indulge.
The fucking General of the entire fucking Army is staring at you like he’s trying not to laugh.
If you spot the High Lord, you’re making a break for it. Especially after waking him up in the early hours so recently.
“I’m Cassian.” He doesn’t bother hiding the amusement in his tone.
Your three shots are planted in front of you with a flourish, and you smile at the bartender before sinking them one by one. Normally, you can push any fluster down deep, face impassive and eyes steady— but tonight it’s harder. Because of the wine, because of the company.
The General is still staring, eyebrows high and a curl of mischief at his lips, and you shake away the burn of alcohol hitting your throat.
“Nice to meet you Cassian, I’m having a rough night.” Swiping your freshly poured wine, you raise it with a wink, before making a point of sauntering back to your table like that 10 second conversation didn’t shake you to your fucking core.
He’s definitely sat with Azriel. And he definitely knows something. The interest in his eyes had gone beyond that of a stranger, and now the oh-so-thin pretence that you’re not stuck in a stuffy room with each other is a distant memory, you’re sure of it.
You don’t spare Caed and the arm he’s slung over the back of your booth a glance as you slump heavily into your seat.
———————
Mor POV
“Green-girl is trouble.” Cassian announces the second he’s back, a large glass of something clear plonked unceremoniously in front of the Shadowsinger, who doesn’t waste a moment taking a long drink from it.
“You spoke to her?” Mor leans forward, delicate forearms resting on the table as her eyes flicker between the two Illyrians, Azriel’s face an impassive mask. He’s four drinks in now—- usually a little less stiff, a little more free with his half smiles and quiet laughter. But not tonight.
Eyes catching with Cassian’s, she forms a plan which she just knows he’ll keep step with, watching as his own eyebrow raises in challenge.
“Yeah, she said she’s having a rough night.” That gets a reaction, albeit small. Azriel blinks, eyes sliding to his brother for only a moment, but it’s all they need.
“She’s very pretty, maybe you could cheer her up a bit?”
“Yeah why should Rhys get to have all the fun. I might go ask her to dance—-“
“Well, that’s not gonna improve anyone’s mood,”
“Hey, I’m an excellent dancer.” And with a wink so exaggerated that Mor almost snorts, the male turns to face his brother. “You alright, Az?”
Az is clearly not alright. He’s statue-still, not unusual— but the rapid twitch of the muscle in his jaw is, shadows curling at his shoulders in a way they know means nothing good.
“I’m fine.” He’s a fucking liar, and Mor rolls her eyes before lightly prodding once again.
“Have you told your shadows that?”
Cassian cuts in before whatever colourful answer could escape Az’s mouth, his tone suddenly devoid of its normal playful lilt.
“Actually, I better go over.”
All eyes snap to your table, Rebekah and her partner now some ways away and dancing seductively enough that on a usual night without the boys, Mor would go join them. But you’re still seated, the golden-haired male’s arm wrapped around your shoulders, whispering something so close to your ear that she can see the pointed tips turn red.
Not her problem, or Cassian’s, or Azriel’s. Except your spine is straight and stiff, head angled away and shoulders tense like you’re just waiting for his touch to end.
Azriels seat is empty before she can even catch his eye.
———————
Reader POV
“Have I told you how sexy that dress is?” His warm breath tickles at your ear and neck in a way that’s making your skin crawl, nose wrinkling as you take another swig of wine.
“Yes. Like, three times now.” Why have your two so-called friends abandoned you with this? He’s not a bad guy, you’ve decided—- just a few too many ales and a hapless misunderstanding of the situation.
Doesn’t make it any less annoying, though.
“I bet you look even sexier out of it.” Ugh. The man has little appreciation for the art of seduction, apparently, and you don’t try and hide your eye-roll.
“Caed, listen—-“
“Am I interrupting something?”
Shit. Shit shit shit.
Azriel’s voice is deep and as sharp as a knifes edge, cutting through whatever drunken haze has clouded Caed’s judgement with astonishing speed. He straightens, although his arm still rests around your shoulders, and blinks up at the intimidating form at your table.
The wine in your blood forces a deeply uncomfortable giggle past your lips.
“No, Sir. Just chatting with my girl, here.”
‘My girl’? Absolutely fucking not. Your nose wrinkles involuntarily, each thought plain on your face even as you try your absolute best to avoid the Shadowsinger’s gaze.
“Huh. Are you ‘his girl’?” And damn if the low gravel of his voice doesn’t hit you straight in your core.
“Oh, get fucked, Azriel.” How fucking dare he? Sure—- you’d been rude and shitty and—and—-
You’re not his. You never were. Hell, at this point, you’re not even friends anymore. You can do whatever you like with whoever you like. Even if Caed isn’t quite who you’d pick.
And next to you, he's busy looking terrified and distancing himself from the person who dare swear at the Spymaster of the Night Court. Not that you’re paying attention.
Azriels eyes are fucking molten, dancing between yours and your lips, wings splayed wide and twitching as shadows curl up your legs almost intimately.
He looks like a dark angel, like this, and you find yourself unable to fight the siren-call of his presence, leaning toward him oh-so-slightly.
“We need to talk.” And then he’s dragging you away from both the booth and the boy in it by your wrist, feet unsteady in heels as you struggle to keep up.
Saoirse catches your eye across the dance floor and offers a wink instead of salvation, and you curse her out internally as you’re pulled out the back exit and into the quiet street.
With the click of the door, the music quiets, plunging you both into near total darkness.
“Are you here just to piss me off?”
a bird's wings
warnings: gun violence (it's jason. what did you expect)
Dick doesn't fall.
It's become somewhat of an ongoing bit within the family. He's trained for such a long time ("too long," Tim complains, immediately after falling off a set of bars) that it's become almost second nature. He moves with the ease of decades of practice. His body had been trained almost from birth to be more flexible, to move his weight at the strangest angles, to keep stretching beyond his limits - all with a smile on his face.
It doesn't matter what League-inspired traps Damian leaves on the stairs, silently watching and analyzing the way in which Dick barely spares razor a passing glance as he simply bends out of the way. It doesn't matter if Cass tries for a well-timed shove down the stairs when his body is positioned just the wrong way, not when Dick simply vaults over the bannister, balancing on the rail with one hand for just long enough that Cass knows it's intentional, the cocky bastard. It doesn't matter how many of them team up against him - and they have tried.
Even when he does fall - as he tells his family constantly, he does fall - it's an elegant thing. If his hand slips, it's quickly replaced by another, redirecting him through the air, moving with a wind that only exists for him. When his feet don't meet the ground quite like he expected, his momentum carries him into a roll that looks just as intentional as his original movement. His mistakes are erased in the space between heartbeats, expression unwavering, a true performer.
In fact, Dick is so agile that Duke, when they first met, had wholeheartedly believed that he had to be a meta-human. Sure, there are plenty of flexible and agile people out there, but it's unnerving how he moves. His joints bend too far; his ligaments stretch beyond Duke's comfort. In a moment of curiosity, Duke asked Jason and Tim. Jason's expression didn't change (dying internally), and Tim made an odd choking noise (swallowing his own laughter). Duke interpreted these as (Jason) he was correct in his belief, which was no laughing matter, and (Tim) Duke should not know about Dick's meta-human status. It took years (and a blood test in the Batcave) for Duke to believe that Dick was actually a very unusual human.
Bruce, in his quietest moments, thinks it's magic. Years ago, lives ago, Jason had described being Robin as magic. And, of course, the role does hold its own power, but Dick's magic has always been his own. He was magic before he was Robin, and he was Bruce's son - a title that carried its own kind of magic.
That magic extended to his nights out on patrol, particularly when he was with Red Hood and Robin. Of course, he often found himself Batman's patrol route - Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin tagging along just for shits. Hell, Nightwing wasn't even supposed to be out - not when he'd had so many consecutive night patrols - but with so many of them, what could go wrong?
That night, the four of them cornered a criminal on a rooftop. Even after clambering up a fire escape, Nightwing's breathing had barely changed, Batman's was easily concealed, Robin had tested a new grappling hook, and no one is quite sure how breathing works for Red Hood after some oddities in the Lazarus Pit.
Instead of surrendering, the desperate, stupid man had sprinted directly at them, firing a gun wildly with one hand and screaming at the top of his lungs. Nightwing sidestepped easily, having seen similar idiocy in Bludhaven. What he wasn't expecting was to step into Robin. He adjusted, angling his body to the side to plant his other foot--
--which landed on Batman's cape, right as the older man was turning to watch the criminal run. The material pulled out from under him just in time for the criminal to impact Nightwing directly. On its own, it would barely be enough to move him, and even still, Nightwing watches as the man bounces off him directly into Red Hood's grasp.
But in this moment, in the perfect cascade of errors, Nightwing stumbles backwards off the roof.
Nightwing doesn't panic immediately. He twists his body, turning his stumble into a somersault without a second thought. He looks down, trying to find something, but there are no windows. No ledges. He is too far away from the fire escape. It is a solid, brick wall, and there is nothing for him to grab onto.
And Dick falls.
It's never the fall that hurts, he knows. Falling is so close to flying, and he spreads his arms like a bird about to take flight. For a heartbeat, he's a child being tossed in the air, he's a teenager slipping off a trapeze bar, and he knows there is something below him. Strong arms and laughter, a net that will bend with his inertia.
The only thing beneath him is concrete.
When his body hits the ground, it makes far too loud of a sound for a man who had always seemed lighter than air.
Out of everyone, that night, Oracle hears the impact the most clearly. Through his earpiece, she hears the clean snap of small bones, she hears the dull thud of a now-limp body, she hears a sharp gasp of air being forced out of lungs - all compressed into one, horrific heartbeat. She listens to rattling breaths get quieter and quieter until she can't hear them at all.
Bruce feels the impact in his throat, caught somewhere between his head and his heart. That's his boy, on the ground, but his other children are still up, still staring down the now-damned soul that had grounded their Nightwing. It takes him a moment to react, barking to Oracle to send medics to their location as he stalks towards the criminal.
Jason takes a more direct approach: a bullet through the man's skull. He doesn't have the same hold-ups as Bruce about killing, not when this man is responsible for hurting his brother. It is violence, simple and honest. It is protection, raw and vulgar.
Damian is the first to make it to Dick's side, practically leaping off the rooftop. He has learned enough, between volunteering at a hospital and what one learns when trained by Ra's al Ghul. He checks for a pulse, checks for breathing. He stabilizes Dick's neck, holding in place. His hands are small, but they do not shake, even when his muscles begin aching. He does not let them shake. Damian looks almost feral, teeth gritted and bared, silhouetted above Dick's body in off-putting streetlamp fluorescents. "No one touches him," he hisses. He only relinquishes his hold when the medics arrive. His hands curl into fists, fingernails biting into his palms
It is a quiet night in the Wayne manor that night. All of the siblings sit vigil around Dick. They all refuse to leave his side, barely moving, even when Alfred delivers pillows and blankets. Dick's face is slack and expressionless, and the sight feels like a blade to the chest. No one knows if he knows they are there.
Oracle clings to the sound of his laugh, pulling up old files. The last thing she hears from Dick will not be the sound of blood in his lungs. Jason fidgets with the shell of the bullet he put through the criminal's skull. Damian holds a medical textbook open in front of him, but he does not turn a page. His gaze is stuck on Dick's eyelids, waiting for them to move.
Here, surrounded by his family, Dick has never seemed more painfully, awfully human.
Unsheathed Fears
Cassandra Dimitrescu x GN!Reader
TW: Anxiety, Aichmophobia
------------------------------------------
Being the head chef in Dimitrescu Castle wasn’t just a job—it was a lifestyle. Y/N had somehow managed to capture the interest of Cassandra, the middle Dimitrescu sister. They had been dating for about seven months now, and every moment together felt like a stolen piece of paradise.
When Y/N wasn't swamped with work in the kitchen, they would steal away to spend time with Cassandra. They'd find hidden corners of the grand castle to share whispered conversations and secret kisses. It was in these moments that Y/N realized just how deeply they had fallen for Cassandra. Everything about her was mesmerizing—her fierce loyalty to her family, the way she always had Y/N's back, and her surprisingly gentle side that she showed only to Y/N. To the other maids, Cassandra was intimidating and cold, but with Y/N, she was tender and loving.
One evening, after a particularly grueling day in the kitchen, Y/N found themselves in Cassandra's arms, nestled in the warmth and safety of her embrace. They lay together on a plush sofa in one of the castle's many drawing rooms, the fire crackling softly in the background. Y/N could feel the tension of the day melting away as Cassandra ran her fingers through Y/N's hair, her touch both soothing and electrifying.
"You work too hard," Cassandra murmured, her voice a soft, affectionate reprimand.
Y/N chuckled, looking up into Cassandra's eyes. "Someone has to make sure you and your sisters are well-fed."
Cassandra's lips curved into a smile. "I appreciate it, you know. Everything you do."
At that moment, Y/N knew that no matter how tough things got, as long as they had Cassandra by their side, they could handle anything. The castle, with all its grandeur and secrets, felt like home because of her.
The next day, Lady Dimitrescu had surprisingly given Y/N the day off, a rare luxury. Y/N decided to spend it in the castle's expansive library, surrounded by ancient tomes and the comforting scent of old paper. Bela and Daniela were there too, lounging around and indulging in their favorite books. Daniela, ever affectionate, was cuddled up to Y/N, reading a novel together. It was a peaceful scene, a rare moment of tranquility in the otherwise imposing castle.
As Y/N turned a page, the library door creaked open, and Cassandra stepped in, her presence immediately drawing everyone's attention. Y/N felt their heart skip a beat at the sight of her. Cassandra had a way of commanding attention effortlessly, her aura both captivating and slightly intimidating.
Cassandra's gaze locked onto Y/N, and a smile curved her lips. "Hey, Y/N. Can you come with me? I want to show you something new in the armory."
Y/N hesitated, a flicker of anxiety crossing their face. They had never told Cassandra about their fear of sharp objects. Bela and Daniela exchanged knowing glances, fully aware of Y/N's phobia.
"Um, sure," Y/N finally replied, trying to keep their voice steady. "Lead the way."
Cassandra's smile widened, and she extended her hand, helping Y/N up from the comfortable nook they had settled into. Together, they walked through the winding corridors of the castle, the atmosphere growing heavier as they approached the armory.
Inside, the armory was a stark contrast to the cozy library. It was filled with weapons of all kinds, gleaming menacingly under the dim lights. Y/N felt their palms grow sweaty, their heart pounding in their chest. Cassandra, oblivious to Y/N's discomfort, led them to a new display of intricately designed swords.
"Look at these," Cassandra said excitedly, her eyes gleaming with pride. "Aren't they beautiful? They're new additions."
Y/N swallowed hard, trying to focus on Cassandra's enthusiasm rather than the sharp blades. "Yeah, they’re... impressive," they managed to say.
Cassandra turned to Y/N, noticing their unease for the first time. "Are you okay? You look a bit pale."
Y/N brushed it off with a weak smile. "I'm fine, just a bit tired."
Cassandra nodded and continued to show different weapons, her excitement undimmed. Y/N tried to keep up, but the sight of so many sharp objects was making their head spin. They felt increasingly lightheaded, struggling to maintain their composure.
Cassandra, still absorbed in showcasing the collection, glanced back at Y/N. "You sure you're alright? You don’t look so good.”
Y/N tried to brush off Cassandra's concern once more, insisting that they were fine despite the dizziness threatening to overwhelm them. But Cassandra wouldn't let it go. With a firm but gentle touch, she led Y/N back to the library where Bela and Daniela were waiting.
As soon as they saw Y/N's pale face, Bela and Daniela rushed over, concern etched on their features. "What happened?" Daniela asked, her voice filled with worry.
Cassandra, still confused but sensing something was wrong, simply stated, "Y/N wasn't feeling well."
Bela's brow furrowed as she looked between Y/N and Cassandra. "Did you tell her yet?"
Y/N shook their head, feeling a knot form in their stomach. They hadn't planned on revealing their fear to Cassandra so soon, if ever. But with the way things were unfolding, it seemed inevitable now.
Cassandra looked at Y/N, concern evident in her eyes. "Tell me what's going on."
Y/N hesitated, their heart pounding in their chest. "I... I have a fear of sharp objects," they finally admitted, their voice barely above a whisper.
Cassandra's expression softened as she processed the confession. "Why didn't you tell me?"
Y/N glanced down, feeling a surge of guilt wash over them. "I didn't want you to think I didn't care about something that you love so much."
Cassandra reached out and gently lifted Y/N's chin, forcing them to meet her gaze. "Y/N, I would never think that. Your well-being is more important to me than any weapon."
Bela, sensing the tension in the air, decided to intervene. "Y/N has been keeping this from you because she was afraid it would change the way you see her."
Cassandra's eyes widened in realization. "I see. You didn't have to hide this from me, Y/N. I love you for who you are, not for what you're afraid of."
Y/N felt a wave of relief wash over them, grateful for Cassandra's understanding. "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner."
Cassandra pulled Y/N into a tight embrace. "There's nothing to apologize for. From now on, we'll face your fears together."
Bela and Daniela exchanged knowing glances, silently acknowledging the strength of the bond between Y/N and Cassandra. Despite the initial tension, the revelation had only brought them closer together.
As they settled back into the comfort of the library, Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and support of their partner and friends.
Erin Reed at Erin In The Morning:
News is emerging that the Department of Health and Human Services is preparing to release a review of transgender care intentionally slanted to oppose it. The review is expected to follow the same playbook as Governor DeSantis’ Florida Board of Medicine review and the Cass Review in England—both of which excluded gender-affirming care experts and were engineered to justify crackdowns on care. According to anti-trans organizations, the report is expected by April 28, and could be used to undermine not just youth care, but adult care as well. The foundation for the new review was laid out in Trump’s executive order issued on January 28, which instructed the Department of Health and Human Services to “publish a review of the existing literature on best practices for promoting the health of children who assert gender dysphoria, rapid-onset gender dysphoria, or other identity-based confusion” within 90 days. The language of the order already set the tone for what many expect to be a deeply biased and predetermined report. Notably, “rapid-onset gender dysphoria” is a disputed and scientifically unsupported term frequently used by anti-trans advocates to cast doubt on the legitimacy of trans youth identities. The inclusion of this terminology in the mandate signals that the forthcoming report may be more about ideology than medicine. Adding to concerns, then-acting NIH director Matthew Memoli recently sent out an internal email directing the National Institutes of Health to fund research focused on the “chemical and surgical mutilation of children and adults”—a phrase rooted in anti-trans rhetoric. The email, obtained by Nature, outlined the two main areas of focus for the review: “regret and detransition following social transition,” and outcomes in youth who have undergone what the administration terms “chemical and surgical mutilation.” Given this highly charged language and the apparent lack of participation from experts in gender-affirming care, the review is expected to follow the model used by the DeSantis administration in Florida and the Cass Review in the UK—both of which have faced strong backlash for misrepresenting evidence in order to justify restrictions on care. If released as expected by April 28, this review could become a cornerstone document used to justify sweeping restrictions on gender-affirming care for both youth and adults across the country. This has been tried and weaponized successfully before. In Florida, a similar review was created to justify bans on trans care in the state—a process criticized as politically motivated by the Human Rights Campaign. Patrick Hunter, a member of the anti-trans Catholic Medical Association, played a significant role in the development of the Florida Review and Standards of Care under Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. Patrick Hunter was chosen specifically by the governor, who has exhibited fierce opposition towards LGBTQ+ and especially transgender people, and then immediately got to work on targeting transgender care. [...] This report will mark another escalation in the dismantling of science within the Department of Health and Human Services under Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a man whose war on vaccines and water fluoridation has already reopened the door to once-eradicated diseases. When the report drops, it won’t be a scientific review—it will be a political weapon. Researchers, physicians, and advocates must be ready not only to debunk the coming wave of disinformation, but to meet it with unrelenting truth. The future of transgender healthcare in the United States may depend on it.
The Trump Regime is set to release a Cass Review-esque study filled with anti-trans animus to justify bans on gender-affirming care for minors and adults.
The “report”, should it be released, is expected to contradict scientific rigor and evidence to push for gender-affirming care bans.
Hiii Cimmerian! I hope you don't mind me breaking into your askbox to say that I'm genuinely happy to see you having fun here! It's so interesting and fun to watch your talks and interactions with Chil-aglia, hehehe✨ Love your vibes guys💕
Yeeeeeee thankyou!! The things a cool community and a hyperfixation can do to a person >:)
Tumblr has been GREAT so far, my minds blowing away with the breeze getting to know a whole new community, and its my first time actually engaging in a fandom 👀 ive been living under a rock this whole time xD
TMNT has also been a great introduction to it all, and the AUs people come up with!?!? MIND. BLOWN. When i finished watching the shows (ive seen everything but the 1900's one) which probably took me a few weeks, i stumbled across fanfiction one day and the CAS (cass' apocalyptic series) and OMO (odd man out) is actually my first intro to fanfic, although Two Souls will always hold a special place in my heart because its the first one i really read (im side-eyeing the writer hoping that fic comes out of hiatus soon)
And discovering fanfics? WHERE HAS THIS BEEN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!
I have Chil-aglia's DILLH AU in a death grip, i love the idea of that one so much. The inspo from Death Wish and just the whole entire circumstance of the protagonists existence is such a great idea to run with! Im not entirely sure what it is yet but something about that AU has me fixated, and that fixation isnt going away any time soon.
It could be that i relate to the character, or the writers ideas just fall in-line with something ive dreamed of wanting to read, or the idea that i can help grow/support/be a part of a new AU? Ive found something to focus all of my pent up art ideas/energy at >:)
And rambling about it? DRAWING for it? It comes so easily, and i really enjoy it. Before TMNT i never did any fanart/or gift free doodles to people like this, and still my motivation for it is flaky at best, but now? *gestures at my account* welp, ive found my passion and i do now <3
Ive discovered something that i really love and im making up for the 18 years of it i missed out on. My mutuals are probably going "Woah and this art is FREE? I dont have to pay/ask?" The real joy i get out of drawing for the things i love is way better than earning actual money from commissions n such. <- Sure money from comms is nice but its always stressful work, but thats not why im an artist, im an artist because i want to draw the things i like :D
#cimmerian1275#cimmers ramblings#gasp an ask#oops yeah thats a ramble#a mini essay#a veritable WALL of text#but heheheh you got me talking and i got carried away#i just kept coming up with things i needed to speak about >.>#i feel like i went off topic from the ask but idk#i just woke up and my brain isnt braining
Aka: Cass
A robot that was created by Dusk for a school project. She was meant to be a simple task following robot but the AI managed to gain sentience. Dusk felt it was wrong to delete the AI because that would essentially be killing it so he let the AI keep its sentience and stopped tinkering with the AI altogether.
At first I thought it was mildly annoying? that rottmnt would trend after a CAS update because it got my hopes up "SEASON 3 NEWS?? no just a fan comic"
But then I actually read it and now I totally understand.
And now I think its fuckin hilarious CAS updates make the entire rottmnt trend. Cass is single-handedly propping up this entire fandom she holds so much power
Mishapocalypse: what the-
Hey, former redditors! Welcome to the hellsite, we're all glad that you're here (especially you 196 folk you warm my dead, frozen heart). While on the whole you seem to be adapting AMAZINGLY fast to site culture, if any of you are confused over one of our founding myths this may help.
(or if you're a veteran tumblrina and just want to read an essay that's fine too)
(others key parts of our national identity to learn about if you're curious include Goncharov, I Love You, Color of the Sky, My Three Girlfriends, and many more)
also if you don't want to read my entire fucking essay take this and run
but if you want to know the deal with this man, read on!
Mishorigins
Supernatural is a 2000s-ass TV series that ran on the CW from 2005 to 2020. It's about two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, who are "hunters" that protect people from various supernatural entities. The show was originally planned to last five seasons, with an angel character named Castiel (this is important) slated to be revealed as God in the finale. Castiel (nicknamed Cass by the CW and Cas by objectively correct people) was introduced in S4.
left: Castiel, the gay angel of our collective dreams. right: Misha Collins.
The Man Behind the Mish
Misha Collins is a straight man who was forced by a cruel and uncaring god to play a heavily queer coded angel on a TV series intended for any demographic BUT gay teens (which is what it became). His performance as Castiel, and the large queer teen fanbase he drew, were a driving force behind a show would ultimately continue for three times longer its original plan.
I don't have anywhere else to put these facts so they go here
he was an intern in the Clinton administration during the Lewinsky scandal
he knows Tibetan throat singing
he was arrested for climbing onto a bank roof (he was trying to... read a book? 👀👀👀)
he probably made Jensen Ackles (the guy who played Dean less homophobic? Maybe?
he held a scavenger hunt called GISHWHES several times for his charity, Random Acts
cool guy
he later played Harvey Dent on Gotham Knights this very year (2023)
there's icebergs of this shit
he farted on an airplane once
Mishion: Impossible
April 1st, 2013 is a date that will live in mishinfamy. Tumblr a main hub of the SuperWhoLock fandom (a mega-fandom amalgamating Supernatural, Sherlock BBC, and Doctor Who), was the only place the Mishapocalypse could happen.
For boring deets I'll redirect you to the KnowYourMeme page but these images should sum it up.
left: a list of Tumblr users, circa 2013. right: a fine example of Misha culture
There are two takeaways here:
You cannot outrun Misha.
You will become him.
On April 1, 2013, a significant portion of Tumblr changed their avatar to the now-iconic Mishapocalypse photo and their handle to "Misha Collins", followed by similar waves of Mish across other social media sites.
above: the modern Prometheus
This beautiful event was emblematic of pre-Dashcon Tumblr, an era as far away from us now as 1200 AD was from 1208 AD. You'll be pleased to know that the Mishapocalypse returns every April 1st to grace these ancient halls, a small group of pilgrims tracing new paths on the well-worn floor of the Church of Misha.
(this isn't to say the Supernatural fandom is dead, it's just somewhat diminished from it's glory days.
Thanks for reading! Reblog if you liked. I'll leave you with a bunch of Mishimages of my own that I posted for Mishapocalypse 23 (the 10th anniversary). Shameless self-promotion!!!
in clockwise order:
The Mona Misha
Mishius
Misha's extra hour in the ball pit
The Mishian (with Mish Damon)
Future ideas include Salvator Misha. Feel free to ask any questions you have, and I hope you enjoy Tumblr.
Happy Mishing!
ps I have not actually watched supernatural you just learn all of this via osmosis
Hey there! so one of the fics you recommended is my new favorite and I was wondering if you have more like that? it's when Dean tells Sam about Cas' love confession before he was taken to the empty and then Sam is all like "let him down easy" and Dean's over here: nah that's not what you think :D!! thank you for all of your posts. your posts make my day :)
Oh oblivious Sam. Happily living your own life thinking what you want to think about your brother whether or not its the truth. You'll always be my favourite. I assume this is the fic you're talking about.
i just know that something good is going to happen - an_ardent_rain Ao3
Set 15x20 didn’t happen AU. They are finally on the way to the beach and Dean hasn’t addressed what Cas said before he died yet. When Sam tells Dean not to be weird about letting Cas down, Dean realises that he isn’t actually going to reject what Cas told him in the dungeon.
Word Count: 10k No Sex
Of course there are others where its only after Dean thinks about it that he realises he doesn't want to let Cas down easy - or at all.
I Wasn't Going To Mention It - sandean_cas Ao3
Nonspecific timeframe. Tired of Cas randomly telling him things about Dean, Sam asks Dean to let the angel down gently. (Cas is spelled Cass)
Word Count: 1k No Sex
Love Struck – Sharliem Ao3
Nonspecific timeframe. When they realise that Cas has been hit by a truth spell and can’t stop spilling what he thinks about Dean, Sam hopes that Dean won’t be mean about it. But maybe Dean just needs to tell Cas what he thinks about him in return
Word Count: 6k No Sex
now the weight of the world ain't so bad - the_oncoming_stormageddon Ao3
Set 15x20 didn’t happen AU. He knows that Cas loves him, but it takes Sam asking Dean when he’s going to settle down with someone to start to realise they’ve basically been dating without him realising it.
Word Count: 10k No Sex
Baby's Backseat - sandean_cas Ao3
Set S14. When Cas develops a problem with riding in Baby because he can sense all Dean’s past hookups, Sam is the one that has to explain to Dean that its because Cas has been in love with Dean for years. However he is shocked at the lengths Dean will go to to make Cas comfortable again. (Cas is spelled Cass)
Word Count: 3k No Sex
riptide
oh nice, this is a supernatural fic inspired by the song riptide, specifically this lyric
this guy decides to quit his job and head to new york city, this cowboys running from himself
which is dean and cas
i dont have any notes in the document, bc i often just think up a fic idea and keep thinking about it but never write it down, but from what i remember it was dean leaving their old family house to visit sam in nyc and on one crossroad in nyc a random stranger saves him from being run over by a car by grabbing his shoulder (so hard it bruises)
also sam lives with eileen and their neighbour is rowena raising baby crowley
and somehow this is the only thing written in the document apart from that one lyric and honestly i dont even think it was supposed to be for this fic, i just liked the idea of blushing wings
dean started chuckling, “dude, are- are your wings blushing too?” cas buried his face in his hands even more and turned partly away from dean “cas, love, no, dont hide, its pretty” dean slowly put his hands around cass naked torso and snuggled them together. cas could feel his breath on his wingh as dean pressed a tender swift kiss on his back right where his wings joined in
its also very much abandoned
Could you perhaps do a FNAF request, where it's Gabriel x Evan, but it's a wholesome cute situation(nothing weird), where Gabriel awkwardly gives Evan makeshift flowers.
Hey, this is my first work on Tumblr so please be patient with me. I was a little unsure what to do so I’m sorry if this isn’t what you wanted. What is canon about Fnaf is so very little and so it was kind of difficult for me to try write this. Gabriel and Evan are not characters I typically write in stories. Let alone a story solely about them. This is my first story I have ever written with Gabriel and possibly my second with Evan (if Evan was in one he was a background character.) This was such a cute request that I knew I just had to write it! I know this might not be entirely what you asked for. This story kind of took a mind of it’s own which is something that has not happened to me before. I hope you enjoy what I came up with. If you don’t like it, let me know and I will try again. Thank you so much Anon for the request and without further ado…. Makeovers and Makeshift Flowers
Fluff With Maybe a Tiny Bit of Angst
Can be Read Platonically or Romantically (They are Children)
Gabriel was used to life now. Play around with the night guard from 12 A.M to 6 A.M, learn new choreography from 6 A.M till 10 A.M, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza opens at 10 in the morning and he has to preform from open till 12 P.M. At 12 P.M he does meet and greets, from 2 until 4 he/Freddy has to sing and do birthday celebrations, 4 until 6 he does some more meet and greets or hangs out with birthday kids, at 6 he preforms with the band, and finally at 10 the place closes and Gabriel is left to do what he would like until it all restarts at 6 again.
It went like that for a while, until Gabriel met Evan.
Gabriel was messing with the night guard like normal and he stumbled across an old room. It was run down and quite gross. The paint was chipping off the walls, there were spiderwebs in every corner, there were boxes filled with random things that were old, rusting, and should have been thrown away years ago. There was trash and mold almost all over and where there wasn't mold there was fungus. Overall it was a mess.
It was so messy that Gabriel almost missed the dark purple colored bear. As Gabriel turned he saw something move out of the corner of his eye. He turned back to face it and walked forward. As he walked, he heard whispering however he couldn't make out what was being said. Once he reached the source of the movement and sound, he realized it was a dark purple bear. He didn't recognize it from anywhere.
"Hello?" Gabriel said to the machine, cautiously.
The machine looked up at him and he saw its eyes. He realized that the robot was like him. Stuck. He was stuck here in this pizzeria and he noticed that the machine in front of him was too.
Gabriel (against his better judgement) got out of the suit leaving it where he once stood and knelt down. He tried again to talk to the animatronic he now knew to be possessed. "My name is Gabriel. I'm a ghost too. What's your name?"
Gabriel didn't hear anything for a while and he was about to give up until he heard a small voice whisper "Evan....my name is Evan."
Gabriel would have missed it if he wasn't used to having to strain his ears to hear young shy children. "Hello, Evan, what are you doing back here by yourself? Are you always alone?" Gabriel asked.
"I-....I wa-was-wasn't by my-myself. Ca-Cass-idy was here wi-with me. Sh-she l-left to go t-talk to th-the night g-guard. I-I'm no-not al-ways a-a-alone. Ju-just some-sometimes. Li-like when Ca-Cassidy isn't he-here," Evan said.
Gabriel noticed that Evan had some difficulty talking, but unlike everyone else in Evan's life, Gabriel didn't make fun of him. Gabriel didn't tease Evan or make fun of him and Evan liked that. He liked that Gabriel didn't make fun of him.
Gabriel and Evan talked for a while. They both were having fun laughing and cracking jokes. Gabriel and Evan both couldn't remember a time that they had had that much fun.
After that day, Gabriel started to go to that old room that Evan was in. Gabriel felt bad for Evan that the room that he (Evan) had to live in looked like that.
One day while Evan and Gabriel were talking, Gabriel found out that Evan loved the outdoors. Evan missed being outside and looked around at nature.
Evan saying that started something and after Gabriel left to go learn a new song they would preform that day, Gabriel thought of the perfect solution.
Gabriel hated that Evan was stuck in that old, musty, moldy, fungus-filled, disgusting room and finally Gabriel had found the perfect way to fix it.
Gabriel was now searching for the two people that could help him with his plan. Cassidy and Susie.
Susie wasn't as hard to track down considering Gabriel was with her and the rest of the gang all the time. Cassidy however was tricky.
However luck seemed to be on his side because he had managed to find Cassidy and Susie in the same room, at the same time.
The room was empty besides Gabriel, Susie, Cassidy, and a couple tables and chairs.
"Do you two have a minute? I need some help with something," Gabriel asked the girls.
They both turned to him and asked him to continue.
"I-...," he began although stopped himself to sigh, took a breath, and then continued by saying, "Evan is in that messy, gross, disgusting room all by himself. He hates it in there, but he doesn't complain. I need your help because I want to fix it up for him, but I need help doing it so could you both please help me?"
Susie answered almost immediately by saying, "Of course I'll help!"
Cassidy however took a little bit before she finally decided on an answer. "Fine, but what do you want us to do?" Cassidy asked.
"I want you to distract him while me and Susie set up the room," Gabriel answered.
They all agreed. Cassidy walked off to find Evan and once she did she spent the day entertaining him and keeping him from seeing the room. Meanwhile Susie and Gabriel cleaned up the room.
"So, what do you plan on putting in here once it's clean?" Susie asked.
"Well, Evan loves nature and outdoorsy things so I was thinking I would decorate it with something to do with that," Gabriel said.
"Hmmm, I think I have an idea," Susie said.
~TIME SKIP~
The room that was so gross, moldy, disgusting, vile, and overall unpleasant to be in was now transformed into what looked like a beautiful outdoor, woodsy type place. The walls were painted green and had trees painted carefully on it. The floor was now wooden and had a nice grassy-green rug. There were chairs and a table to color at. There were picture books stacked nicely on a shelf with an empty photo album to put pictures in. There was a new light put in that was in the shape of a tree as well as led lights strung around the room in the shape of Freddy's characters. There were a couple pictures on the walls. And finally there were makeshift flowers all over.
Gabriel was nervous. He was worried Evan would think it was stupid, awful, or just straight up hate it. In fact he was so worried that he started pacing.
That was until he heard the door open. When it opened he immediately turned so his back was to the wall behind him and his front was towards the door and his hands behind his back.
"Wh-what ha-happ-happened to m-my roo-m?" Evan asked.
"Umm..m-me and Sus-Susie- um, cl-cleaned it up and d-decorated it. I-I'm sorry. D-do you hate it? If you do I-I can fix it. I'm sorry I should have asked I-" Gabriel said sheepishly till the end where he was in a panic before being cut off.
"I-I d-don't hate it. I lo-love it! Tha-thank you," Evan said as he ran and gave Gabriel a huge hug.
Gabriel hugged him back, but was only able to for a couple of seconds until Evan let go and asked, "What's that?"
Gabriel looked for what Evan was talking about until he realized that Evan was taking about the makeshift Flowers and daisy chains in his hands.
Gabriel stepped a couple steps back away from Evan. "O-oh, um, this is, um- I-I know you like flowers and stuff s-so I made some...for you...um, here," Gabriel said while handing Evan the makeshift flowers and daisychains
Evan looked at the flowers for a couple seconds before taking them and giving Gabriel a big hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Evan said.
"It wasn't all me. It was Susie's idea. I just made the-" Gabriel said before being cut off by a kiss on his cheek.
Evan smiled at Gabriel and they both new that what happened to both of them wasn't ideal, but had it not, they wouldn't be where they are now and not Evan nor Gabriel would change it for the world.
Writer’s Note: Evan kissing Gabriel’s cheek can be read romantically however I wrote it as a way of Evan saying he is thankful without using words because in my mind after the bite Evan has trouble talking, communicating, and sometimes even remembering words.
Alright I got time to explain something.
Yes, fuck the Legion in New Vegas (especially Vulpus and his larpin ass).
But also...
*sigh*
The design of how the Legion was supposed to be more fleshed out instead of out right convincing the player (right from the start if you went through the dialogue) that they're only slave driver larping misogynist asshats with a great logistic strategy and bodies to throw at the dam.
More below the cut cos also I have a Love/Hate relationship for this game and not because it was one of the most annoying games to manually install mods for (I did find a solution to at least make vanilla modding so much faster and easier).
Like...Sawyer wanted that and was denied of making a game that sat between the events of FO3 and FO1 and 2, and had a lot of hard/harsh truths that were deeper than what the game delivered. And of course more that he and the devs wanted to put into the game but were ultimately cut out.
The DLC in ways (particularly Lonesome Road and Dead Money) was supposed to at least open a doorway to those questions with viable answers (along with the fact that Ulysses was also supposed to be a companion that is sympathetic to the Legion). But it did so in a manner at the time that still left so much to be questioned and answered for.
I wasn't expecting a War and Peace novel of the complexities of the harsh truths that the writers and devs tried to flesh out over an 18 month period of development. However, I was expecting something more after Fallout 1 and 2, and to have that press and push the envelope just enough to say that there's more to the post-post apoc ordeal that is the Fallout Universe.
Like the game is already not black n white/cut and dry in its narrative even if that narrative was...still not that great.
With all that said, having known of what it could've been still kinda sucks in ways because now it's burned into my head that the Legion is Just Bad With No Nuanced Explanation.
Wait...back up two feet...
It is nuanced but it's cut short. And unless you take the dive and side with them, you'll see that nuance but again, even with some of the later game dialogue that can sway the player to side with them (I'm more or less thinking of when you get to the strip and a disguised Legion messenger comes up and gives you a letter which will partake in a parlay with Caesar*), and even with how Cass tells you (again, kind of a mid-game event/questline) that she even admits that logistically she'd rather deal with the Legion than the NCR solely because they Get Shit Done and know the logistical, and social contract of Don't Fuck With Your Supply Line...
It's still not enough to give the player pause and see what truly makes the Legion tick in my personal opinion--especially given how it's said in the game that they're a band of many conquered tribes that lived east of the Colorado. So like...
¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ you're kind of left going Legion Bad.
I still don't like them as a faction, I really don't, but I'm not gonna lie and state that it's never crossed my mind to explore what the game offered as far as siding with the Legion. Maybe I'll do it fully at some point. Emphasis on maybe.
It was already hard enough to deal with the fact that convincing Ulysses to Stop with the whole setting the whole world on fire again was like talking to a giant fire ant that wants to be in an open ended container =\.
The NCR ain't out of this either as they were also supposed to be more nuanced. And in ways they are a more nuanced faction than the Legion in base game/vanilla. The dialogue where the arms dealer at the 188 Trading Post was a clear sign that not everyone was walking the straight and narrow. She had issues with how top brass were ordering her to so something that was more extreme for the reprimand she delivered to them. Along with the fact that greenhorns were 2 weeks out of training and were thrown into the field Just Like That.
Cass is a hardcore NCR sympathizer/patriot. Fine (You're hot Cass, but I'm still docking points girl, they're racketeering cops systematically and seem to be an offset of the Enclave which like...Yikes? Come on Cass think for a second).
But even she sees the issue with this war of the NCR being too spread thin for controlling the hoover damn which can provide electricity and clean water, resources that, yes, ARE very rare given how it's in...you know...a 200 year old post-nuke winter post-apocalypse.
So the game gives the player incentives to dig in further to either or both sides but not enough to really get things to be truly compelling and at the very least, complex enough to be convincing. At least for me. (Not saying they have to convince me and me alone...that'd be dumb.)
In both modded and vanilla playthroughs of the game, as much as I fucked over the NCR (cos I did see them as cops and too close for comfort of feeling like they're Enclave Lite) I also sided with them as far as the whole war between the Bull and the Bear.
Outside of that choice, it was either the Khans, or the Kings. the Followers were...weird so I was always whatever about em.
I never really went into the arc of Jacobstown and the Remnants, partly because before I even got a chance to mod the game, playing on Classic Vanilla and not Fixed Vanilla, the game crashed if I even dared to venture farther beyond the usual main quest route (partly due to save file bloating and easy corruption of the file if it crashed before a save. That and I NEVER trusted the autosave function at all in the game).
And the Brotherhood of Steel…
*Actually thinking it through*...hmm...
Nah…fuck them.
I love you Veronica, you're a neat character, but like...girl your faction is...Not Good Company AT ALL and I'm glad you're aware of that but yeah, hard nope and pass for me still hope it all works for ya :)
I do wish there was more and maybe with the JSawyer overhaul and a few other mods, it can give more, but even then, the inescapable white narrative of it all still...leaves me feeling...meh about the whole game.
With Sawyer wanting a FONV 2 not set directly in New Vegas but in an area in close proximity to New Vegas, well I hope it can get greenlit. At the very least it'll be better to mod manually than the fucking shit I had to deal with (Gamebryo Engine...eugh...I can't imagine how hard it was to work with the engine at the time...well it was an attempt and I see that so still, good on the devs for giving their all...fuck the execs who pushed too hard).
I would get into more of how the game has a good subtle allegory (beyond Dead Money) about Letting Go, and also get into the deets and my opinion about the Honest Hearts DLC but again...for a different time.
*I'm NOT pronouncing his name as Kai-Zar...I don't do that (ㆆ_ㆆ)
#irrelevant babble#Xev talks about Fallout New Vegas#if Skyrim SE does play well modded I might be able to analyze that game later on
Hospital Culture Constituents of Complex Environments in Health/Social Care USA's National Academies have, for numerous years, been conducting systemic researches into the nation's healthcare cost and quality (Building a Better Delivery System, 2005). Plainly, considerable improvements are required in healthcare delivery. Many assert that these may be attained through competition of a value-based nature among healthcare delivery organizations. One must, of course, remember that the American system of healthcare didn't achieve its present state overnight. The nation's National Academies as well as other parties have conducted several studies and arrived at the conclusion that a key issue facing the U.S. healthcare delivery system is: it isn't a system, in truth (Rouse, 2008). This paper will address two issues: 1) how conventional systems differ from CAS (complex adaptive systems) (e.g. healthcare); and 2) the differences' implications on health delivery system planning and management. The U.S. healthcare system would be faced with discontinuous, disruptive change, owing to the eventual downfall of expert-based medical/clinical practice, even if the present healthcare structure offered services of satisfactory quality, access, and affordable cost. Cognitive studies indicate that our brain is capable of handling 5-9 facts within one decision. Despite the current clinical phenotype descriptions, the amount of facts that bear on individual decisions can already go beyond this capacity, resulting in medical care's underuse, overuse, and misuse (Engineering a Learning Healthcare System: A Look at the Future: Workshop Summary, 2011). Added structural genetic information will likely subject one to 10 facts for every decision. Complete information on an individual's functional expression can increase the facts for every decision by ten times; protein data might increase them by a further ten times. It is hard to envisage a physician coping with this huge amount of information within the typical 15-minute patient appointment. Clearly, there appears to be a need for a novel decision-making paradigm in clinical settings. This unavoidable change will present a once-in-a-hundred-years' opportunity of healthcare role and culture reconsideration. Out of every factor responsible for the current escalating healthcare expenses, technological growth is undoubtedly the most significant. Indeed, this has numerous benefits. One can find several examples of technological advances that have brought about appreciable healthcare improvements. However, prior to adoption of any new technology, an assessment must be carried out for deciding if it will produce actual benefits for patients, outweighing all potential risks. At present, the health sector is witnessing a swift technological proliferation for illness diagnosis as well as treatment (Engineering a Learning Healthcare System: A Look at the Future: Workshop Summary, 2011). Imaging is one major example; its rates have drastically risen in the last few decades. Cardiac imaging, for instance, has witnessed a 24% yearly growth in the last ten years. Medicare data between 1999 and 2003 reveals a 45% increase in cardiac imaging. Significant improvements in the American healthcare system necessitate easy stakeholder access to data regarding the overall system's (or any of its subsystem's) performance and state, together with data on best clinical practices at every level. This data would be employed for assessing present and emergent situations in this system, leading to modifications in inhibitions and incentives for motivating behavior change in stakeholders, to increase value constantly (Building a Better Delivery System, 2005). Incentives are, in general, vital to such CASs. There should be "incentivization" of both activities and outcomes. Provider payments ought to reflect outcome value (risk-adjusted), irrespective of what it cost to reach them. Further, a "disincentivization" of outdated and poorly informed practices is required. High-performing healthcare providers ought to secure significant rewards, while poor performers ought to fail. This way, a continued rise is expected in average level of performance. Wellness, which influences productivity, must be incentivized as well. Building on Californian Milken Institute's (DeVol et al., 2007) recent report, an economic paradigm may be designed, of wellness's relationship with productivity, for providing a base to ascertain the amount of funds to be allotted to public education and awareness. This paradigm would, further, form the base to devise tax incentives for organizations that provide wellness packages and whose workers take part in them. This is also applicable to the area of social care. Competing Agencies/Collaborative Relationships In the last many decades, state and federal policymakers have put forward various initiatives for reforming the U.S. system of healthcare and curtailing costs. One of the ideas has been instilling healthcare market competition, for allowing the sector to function more like traditional markets (Dayaratna, 2013). Theorists like Kenneth Arrow have presented a classic case that the healthcare sector inherently differs from the remaining competitive sectors and, hence, cannot function like them. But, the healthcare sector's evolution, combined with the latest academic literature, proposes that the sector ought to, and can, in fact, function like several other industries. Literature, in fact, suggests that suitable reforms for directing healthcare along this course would cost-effectively and considerably enhance care quality. FEHBP (Federal Employees Health Benefits Program) and Part D of Medicare represent examples of present-day healthcare competition. Launched in the year 2003, as part of the MMA (Medicare Modernization Act), Part D of Medicare expanded this program, providing seniors with prescription drug allowance (Public Law 108-173 - Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003). This expansion's basis was competitive bidding, wherein private insurance schemes provide the U.S. federal government with premium proposals, for charging benefits in relation to prescription drug. Depending on those bids, government contribution is calculated, taking into account several regional factors. Subsequently, consumers can opt for one of numerous available plans, having diverse benefits. Instituted by the nation's Congress in the year 1959, the FEHBP serves more than eight million citizens by providing federal employees (including Congress Members) with a wide range of competing private schemes of insurance (Moffit, 1992). An enormous collection of organization-subsidized programs are available for federal employees to choose from, right from conventional fee-for-health-service schemes to different kinds of schemes for managed care. The FEHBP program illustrates competition's effects in the area of healthcare. Numerous changes to this program during the early eighties diversified plan options for retirees and employees, enabling increased cost sharing and reduced premiums. Astounding results were observed -- roughly one million retirees and employees switched plans. Social and health care collaboration constitutes a fairly new area of study. The first key researches in this regard were conducted in the eighties (Stepney and Callwood, 2005). "Collaboration" is a vaguely defined term, and is often interchanged with terms like coordination, cooperation, integration, and participation. Ever since the National Health Service and Community Care Act of 1990 was put into effect, this concept has been prominently featuring in governmental policy documents, for promoting partnerships, joint working, and 'seamless service' development between social and health care. An evolving idea in the sector of health care is that of healthcare professionals espousing collaboration. Terada stressed the significance of exhibiting professional expertise through the recognition and application of relevant information, for creating a rational, realistic conclusion (The importance of teamwork, collaboration, n.d). The aforementioned approach to professionalism may be termed as "existentialist." Professionals reject dogma and conclusions derived by others until they personally verify them. This existential way of thinking is in line with the evidence-based health care philosophy, which, according to Chichester, Neal, Mann, and Wilder (2002), implied the application of personal resources and scientific evidence to individual patients' expectations and needs. Therefore, a collaborative clinical practice must include healthcare providers who evaluate the diagnostic practices and treatments of each other, to corroborate or improve on those decisions. Collaboration has numerous benefits, which manifest themselves at different levels of the healthcare organization. Social and health care institutions may (Practice development: collaborative working in social care, n.d): 1. Cultivate an organizational culture of constant improvement. 1. Lend an ear to, empower, and value their workforces. 1. Support the adoption of evidence-based practices by their practitioners. 1. Develop a sound focus on organizational purpose and patient health outcomes. 1. Improve organizational processes and structures. 1. Improve service quality. Collaboration is associated with both challenges and opportunities; these include the following (Practice development: collaborative working in social care, n.d): - Inter-organizational compatibility --whether it is beneficial to join forces with dissimilar or similar organizations or not, on any given issue, must first be considered. - Requirement of a total-systems approach -- the approach concentrates only on any one area of a given organization; however, real change must cover every area in the chain. Hence, clinical evidence must be seriously considered and employed for influencing change at multiple levels, thereby producing "ripple effect." " - The coordinator's commitment, approach and ability form the key to project success. - One may only expect senior executives to lend an ear to findings and consider making changes. One can't expect them to immediately act on any findings before knowing what they may be. Senior management involvement has its benefits, even if their participation occurs only during the venture's start and ending. - Sound preparation is essential, for ensuring that every participant clearly understands the recording methods and the process, right from the start. Spn 06×20 the man who would be king
Ngl se6 has really been hard to get thru, I have not been having a good time. I mean I have, But if there weren't 5 seasons before this to make me love the characters, I wouldn't have.
'And we ripped up the ending, and the rules and destiny, leaving nothing bit freedom and choice'
Im interpreting that as 'God is dead' but not sure how much of a stretch that is
Spoonfed. I'm being spoonfed.
I once liked castiel, and i'm really trying to remember that
But watching him sit there explaining how everything went to shite, being all soppy wet sad about it is only annoyingg mee
Especially bc I still don't trust him! (Based of not a lot but vibes and weird character behaviour) and I still don't know why or where to start in my reasoning for it, meaning that for now, hes just annoying
Cas: What is that good for? (Crowley torturing a creature by burning eves brain)
Crowley: well, aside from the obvious erotic value, not much
Ah crowley, how I love you, never change
Crowley: see, the stench of that impala is all over your overcoat angel
Crowley dearest, you seem to know that smell well
Also, hear me out: castiel/crowley hate sex
Crowley, I truly feel your frustration with Cass, same bestie
OH MY GOD CASTIEL STOP SPOON FEEDING ME THE INFORMATIOONNNN, THIS SHOULDV'E BEEN SPRINKLED THROUGHOUT THE SEASON SO I COULD FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF LIKE THE BIG GIRL I AM
Oh my GOD, New tumblr handle.
'Denim-wrapped-nightmares'
Thats too good
Crowleyyy I love youu
Dean when did you get so innocent/subsebtible
Bobby is truly teaming with me this season
'Freedom is a length of rope. God wants you to hang yourself with it' is one banger of a quote, I will say
Okay hello thats hot
I hate this actually
Bc I outright dismissed cass as an option for having raised Sam bc it was done so differently
And now its actually true
Like where is the consitnecy
