I'm not spoiling the endgame, but there will definitely be attempts from Gortash's side to bring his fiancee back, the man is delusional - but kind of for a good reason? Since Strike is the name he gave him, and then Strike remembered that name and not Durge. Gort's plans are to bring the brain under control (really hoping nothing bad happens to him during that) and then deal with his lobotomized ex lover boyfriend partner's brain damage, and Strike's are... Who know, really ;)
