I have a question for you what do you think of the quote unquote age gap between Bloom and Valtor?

I had to do alot of research to understand Bloom age when I started to like this ship better than Mr cheater. So here's a brief information dump:

Bloom is 16 in the first episode and its confirm her bday is December 10 (we don't know the the exact year when each girl was born only the fact Stella is the oldest by that logic Bloom is the second youngest out of the group) when we get to season 3 it is confirmed that the girls is in their 3rd semester so that makes Bloom 19 at point. Valtor's age we do not know however I'm going to say at most early 20s from what we know Valtor working with a younger Griffin before he got Popsicled.

Here comes the tricky part. In s4 the girls just finished their semester and graduated making them 20-21. Up until s5 where Nicklodeon had to reboot their age making them 16 again. Flashforward to s8 and that makes Bloom age 19 if you are following the reboot or 23 if you do not follow the reboot. Since we don't know how long Valtor been frozen his mental age is up for debate.

For me personally I don't see Sparxshipping as an Edward and Bella situation as Edward was aging naturally during his years while Valtor was frozen and couldn't age naturally but only mentally.

Actually no, it works, if she is 16 in s1 she is 17 in s2 and 18 in s3, but we dont know a lot about how the school years work in Magix so I'm gonna jot her down as 18-19 for the remainder of this post.

Anyway. Valtor's age is where the real mystery is at. We've got two possibilities in my opinion.

1. He's pulling the ageless immortal card.

My personal go-to for fics and discussions. Love me some 300 year old mommy issues. He has too much practice being a messy bitch, there's no fixing this man folks.

Evidence: There's a flashback showing him with Griffin as a tween: she looks MUCH younger, he looks exactly the same. Unless he also stole the secret magic of the world's most potent anti aging cream, or Griffin's proximity to Faragonda just aged her by three more decades, he does not age.

2. He is the age he looks.

Which, in my humble opinion, would not put him anywhere near twenty. That is a grown man. He's not college age, unless you count college professors under that word. Even if I were good at guessing ages the very stylized art style would throw me for a loop, but im gonna say 40s, give or take. Look at Avalon, look at Codatorta, look at King Radius if u must. That is the age range we're looking at.

Evidence: I dont have any. We're ballin'. I guess it's never explicitly stated he's immortal, which you'd think would be big enough of a deal to mention. If u got something feel free to let me know.

That being said, the Winx Club Wiki page for the canon timeline (ha, good one) puts the time of Valtor's creation in a rough time frame from "Over 17 years before season 1" to "Under 100 years before season 6". So he could technically be anywhere from 17-97, though I'm not sure the upper limit is as reliable as the lower one, given the check-list format of the website. So make of that what you will.

Now that we've got the question of age out of the way, lets get to the age gap. I have no idea what the situation in twilight was to be honest, so I cant compare that.

Realistically, there's at least a decade between Bloom and Valtor. Possibly two decades and change. And that is just from visible age, we can add a few centuries on top of that if we're sticking with the immortal bit. I'm gonna be gonest, I dont think being frozen for 17 years will make a whole lot of difference here.

If you find that icky, which is fair, you can always change that for fics tho! Either turn him into a twenty year old or put Bloom in her milf-era, the options are endless. Personally, I think the age difference is half the fun though, and also the least of their issues. When you're off making out with the objectively worst person in history, wether he's too old for her isnt gonna rank very high on people's list of concerns.

THE MYSTERY OF NICO’S SKULL RING: A THREAD

Sep 27, 2015: the skull ring is first seen, albeit blurry, in jason grace’s vlog around his school, in which nico is sitting in their school cafeteria. it’s on his right ring finger, as it always has been (that we know of, logically he may have worn it on his middle or index finger when younger)

May 21, 2016: it’s once again seen in nico’s first appearance on apollo’s insta, before we even knew his name. during this time, nico had been working on ‘haunted’ with apollo, and was already known as his insta user “the ghost king,” which ties into the skull/ghost/death theme

June 18, 2016: the skull ring is on the back cover of ‘haunted’s vinyl and its tracklist. it’s pretty much the centerpiece of the image, with his hand mostly covering his face.

There are several more appearances of the skull ring, he practically never takes it off. It’s seen in his pictures at the AMA’s, VMA’s, Grammys, and pretty much every other public appearance of his from 2016 - 2018.

Since then, he hasn’t been seen wearing the ring ONCE. Several other rings take the place on the right ring finger, but the skull ring’s pretty identifiable - and the ones he’s worn since are noticeably different. so, that leaves the question: what happened to it? why did nico stop wearing it?

okay but it is interesting how it happened right after the first night of tour. and its not like a normal piece of jewelry, right? the skull ring is one of the first things we even knew about him, its basically like a logo. dating all the way back to apollo’s first post signifying haunted? it must have meant something to him if he wore it for at least three years (1/2)

even at award shows and red carpets and all that fancy stuff. putting the exact same skull design on tour merch, etc… it’s just strange that it disappeared all of a sudden, despite nico still going on with the death/skull aesthetic in graveyard. if he just lost it or it broke/stopped fitting, wouldn’t he try and get another?

SYN: The winter blues been increasing the levels of curses lately and you finally found some time alone to yourself. You decided to take this time to build a funny little snowman totally not in the shape of your crush

A/N: Was supposed to be apart of a bigger series but shush its ok.... My actual Gojo bday fic will be out tomorrow!

You had a free hour away from your students and paperwork. Well, technically, you made a deal with Gojo to shove all your paperwork on him in exchange for some special, limited-edition mochi you managed to snatch on one of your work trips. You were 99% sure that Gojo would still try to pawn off his paperwork to Ichiji or some other poor sap. Curse activity has been through the roof lately due to seasonal depression. You roll your shoulders, trying to loosen some of the tension and stress you've been feeling lately due to the increasing number of missions you've been assigned.

You packed the snow tightly on the miniature snowman you were making as these thoughts crossed your mind. While you were grateful to have a momentary break, you couldn’t lie and say that you didn’t miss the company of the boisterous students and a certain white-haired coworker of yours. Blood ran to your face as you thought about Gojo, and you blamed it on the cold weather instead, pushing down any inappropriate thoughts you had. Your hands moved on their own as it finished building the base of the snowman, picking up some of the fallen leaves nearby and placing them sticking up on top.

By the time you were done giving the snowman a hairdo, taking a step back, you realized that it oddly resembled Gojo in some sort of hilarious way. Your hands found their way in your pocket as you were thinking of what to do for its eyes, remembering that on one of your missions you came across a small toy shop. Selling buckets full of marbles that you used to play with as a kid, one of them caught your eye as you were walking by it—a shiny and bright blue. As you picked it up to peer in closer, you were faced with an endless blue ocean. No matter which side you were peering in from, the endless blue in the marble always seemed to shift endlessly. 

A cough pulled you out of your trance. The shopkeeper was eyeing you warily. You coughed and embarrassingly smiled back at them, asking if they had another marble with the same color. They gave you another look, grunted that if they were one, it would be somewhere in the bin, and told you to find it yourself. The click-clacking of marbles running into each other still haunts your dreams even to this day, but you held your head high as you found an exact match to the marble that caught your eye. As your fingers roll the two marbles together in your hands now, you wonder what possessed you to go to such lengths to get these marbles anyway. 

A certain annoying laugh invaded your mind as these thoughts passed. You sigh, bending down to your tiny snowman and poking in eye holes so you could place the marbles in. Backing away a bit to look at your sculpture, The sun shining down made the marble almost seem to glow with an intense blue fire. You squinted your eyes to make sure you were thinking right, laughing a little at how much it resembled Gojo. ‘It only needs that dumb blindfold he always wears now.’, you absentmindedly tug at your black scarf, thinking silently. You pull it off in the next moment, being careful as you wrap it around the snowman’s head.

The marbles were hidden away now, like precious gems. You stood proudly in front of the Gojo snowman, puffing out your chest proudly at the silly resemblance. Taking out your phone, you decided to take pictures of it to send to your students, knowing that some of them would get a kick out of seeing it. Only to get spooked by cold hands suddenly appearing on your neck, you screamed and dropped your phone on the snowy ground. Turning around to find a snowy man with a shit-eating grin on his face, "Scared, ya?” Gojo laughed at the expression on your face, his infinity blocking the snowball you threw at him while bending down to get your phone. Dusting off the snow on your screen, Gojo took this lean over your shoulder, squishing his cheek next to yours and placing a hand delicately on your waist.

His long fingers just barely pressed down on your uniform, like he was afraid that he applied any more pressure that you would break. “Is that supposed to be me?” He points at the mini-Snowgojo with his other hand. You swat at his outstretched hand but made no move to get away from his hold, fighting down the blush that was threatening to come up from being so close to your not-so-crush crush. “Kinda, it definitely doesn’t capture your annoying aura, though.” You murmur, and Gojo faked a dramatic gasp and pretended to faint on you, making you catch him in your arms.

 He didn’t put all of his weight on you, but it was still enough to make you struggle a bit. "Gojo, get off of me!” “I told you to call me Satoruuuuuu.” Gojo pouted and crossed his arms, not making a move to get up. “Fine, Satoruuuuuuu~ Can you please get off of me?” You mimicked his whiny voice, making him pout those pretty lips of his even more, but he did eventually get back off of you. Crouching down to look at this mini-me, “You used your scarf for my blindfold?” He tugged at the makeshift blindfold on the snowman, accidentally pulling it too hard and pulling it loose.

“Whoops.”  

As the scarf fell loose, the marbles also fell off with it. You scrambled to get them before Gojo could, but his reflexes were much quicker than yours. Scooping up the marbles in his hand and bringing one near to his face, he lifted up his blindfold to take a closer look. “You know… These marbles have a very striking similarity to my eyes. Did you miss me so much that you went out of your way to build this?” He clutched at his heart and pretended to wipe away a tear. “If I knew that my absence would affect you like this, I would have taken you on my missions with me!" 

The blush went on full force this time as Gojo continued to tease you, “Satoru, I’m not a special grade like you; I wouldn’t survive if I went on your missions.” Gojo draped an arm around your shoulder, resting his chin on top of your head. “Now, when did I say that you'd be fighting alongside me?” His arm goes down to rest on the small of your back now. “Now, when did I say that I’ve put you on the front lines with me, hmm? You would just be resting back at the hotel, all nice and cozy, waiting for me to come home to you, like the good girl I know you are~."

Gojo whispered the last part directly next to your ear, making you shiver like crazy. “Did you really think I didn’t notice all those looks you would give me all the time? Hmm~? Especially when it was training day, your eyes were glued on me, weren’t they?” He pulls you in closer, his lips brushing against your earlobe now. “Naughty girl, you should have been focusing on teaching and not trying to eye-fuck me.” “I-I wasn’t-ah!” You let out a strangled yelp as Gojo bit down on your earlobe gently, but the surprise and the warmth of his tongue were enough to make you start melting even in the winter weather.

 He suddenly lets you go and walks back, still holding up the marbles in one hand, taking off his blindfold fully now to take a good look at you and your adorable, flustered expression. You had to suppress a whine at the loss of contact, "Satoru-"

“SATORU GOJO, COME BACK HERE AND FINISH YOUR PAPERWORK!”

“Principal Yaga?!”  

You turned around to see Yaga stomping his way towards you and Gojo, but before you could say another word, Gojo took your hand in his and started running away, laughing maniacally as he did. “Satoru! Let me go! You’re going to get me in trouble with Yaga too!” He pauses for a bit, making you stumble at the sudden stop, only for Gojo to scoop you up in his arms and start running away faster. “Sorry, cutie, I waited too long for you to finally make a move, and I’m not about to let anyone ruin this for me.” He winks down at you. “What do you say we head over to that new cafe and you could stare at me all you want there~?"

Tier 1 - legitimately good quality content i recommend viewing

Room Zero - as someone who was personally Waiting those multiple years to see that rvb animated episode be finished i was so excited by this one. also i just love the animation + attention to character details in the og one. even though it doesnt really add much to that original base, newer fans should watch it to appreciate the animation cuz its cute. especially fond of every character detail moment like church running backward and using his hand to slide or the earliest iteration of grif being canonically animated as fat. idk i love it a lot and i think its p cute and well worth the watch. it's also the first episodically which is neat. good opener for s14.

The Brick Gulch Chronicles - look its stop motion lego and its cute as fuuuuuuck. the plot being sarges bday is adorable. literally awesome.

Fight the Good Fight - okay i just find it cute and quirky and generally enjoyed watching it quite a bit :) it made me laugh. the [Red] team gag was good. it reminded me of the similar gag from the simpsons in the kamp krusty episode. my dad always makes jokes about that specific gag so ahh. definitely worth the watch but understandable to skip.

Caboose's Guide to Making Friends - its just really fucking cute idfk

Head Cannon - This one's just really funny and also adds on to a scene that already was fun in a good way. Enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Get Bent - I wish sarge was still an old woman but dykenut and church bisexuality balances it out. i also wish we had female tucker. it makes me sad we didnt get female tucker.

Red vs. Blue the Musical - The reds' song is about weapons and the blues' song is about church killing himself. 10/10. no notes. perfect summation of rvb in like 10 minutes.

Mr. Red vs Mr. Blue - genuinely delightful like a distilled everything i like about tucker. he's really fun here. also sister is fun here.

The Triplets & The "Mission" - The triplets own hard. the scene with wash connie and south at the end always makes me smile. ohio girl youre fucking crazy but youre everything. I love you.

Tier 2 - Decent content. You can skip but still somewhat worth ur time.

From Stumbled Beginnings and Why They're Here - Mostly fun. Asterisk mostly. There's an episode between these two that's technically an episode trilogy you should skip. Otherwise is pretty fun.

The #1 Movie in the Galaxy: 3 - This is silly and fun. I enjoyed it. It's also short.

Meta vs Carolina: Dawn of Awesome - look man its a death battle. if you like death battle youll have fun. if you hate death battle you can skip it. shoutout sarge deadbeat dad implications though. i cant even be mad its just not the character id expect them to do that to...

Grey vs Gray - i found it fun :) nothing stand out tho. skippable but not egregiously bad.

Immersion: The Warthog Flip - Look if you Like seeing science stuff yeah its a good watch. if you dont like that you can skip it. I like the math and science though. you don't lose anything in skipping though.

Tier 3 - Meh

Orange is the New Red & Invaders from Another Mother - theyre not bad but aged... poorly. i thought they were funny when i was younger but i watched funhaus actively then. i dont know how this would fare to a non-FH fan. Desert Dance [Spins]

Red vs. Blue vs. Roosterteeth - I KNOWWWWW THERES A LOT OF NOSTALGIA its just .... not very funny. its creators meeting their characters but its also odd in a strange way. you can watch it if youre curious enough. i liked the end voice over of s14 a lot tho so like maybe watch it and if youre bored skip to the end lol

Tier 4 - Drink a lot or watch with friends to experience enjoyment

Club, Call, & Consequences - look man the only way youre enjoying this is if you are a hardcore lolix guy or you are wasted out of your mindddd. im sorry who the fuck is siris. i honest to god thought siris was a bit as a joke on the whole thing of "grif simmons and hammer" from earlier. they never even mention siris again. who the fuck is siris. i felt like i was like lied to or something . sorry siris is so fucking funny. well he didnt have a personality but thats ok. i dont know if he actually exists.

RvB Throwdown - Get Miles Luna out of the booth. never let him rap again.

Tier 5 - Bad. Skip it.

Fifty Shades of Red - Fifty Shades of Red has possibly one of the worst jokes in the series that immediately assassinates Tucker into a pretty fucking awful light and retroactively ruins his character for the preceding 13 seasons. I honestly recommend skipping Fifty Shades of Red to avoid that one tucker joke. its not necessary and contributes nothing. The rest of the episode is fine and on the level of stumbled beginnings & why theyre here. but god that one joke is so bad i can't in good faith recommend it. it just leaves me fuming LOL i could write an essay as it being the origin point of post s13 writers room tucker hate where they start trying to make him an irredeemable asshole & dont understand his whole deal for the rest of the series.

omg you are the sweetest!! i was just putting in some drafts for the week coming up and i seen this and was like I SURE DO. now my mom has more stories than i do. BUT one that i still have reoccuring dreams about to this dayyyyyyy and im in my 30s.. is the apartment we grew up in when we first moved out here with my mum [ my dad was there too at the time but not really so literally just my mum in this]. so heres the thing. me and my twin never discussed this with my mum and she never discussed it with us until a few years ago . so its like we all validated out own stories and it made sense to her why she kept having experiences in that place. so. when we first moved there me and my sister were super young.and to help paint a picture of the place there was an adjoining closet that connected both rooms. our bedroom and our mums bedroom. this had a wall seperating them but it was technically the same closet. the first night we spent there she told us she woke up to a man in the closet... with a fucked up neck if you get what im saying. i dont want tumblr to get me haha. she told him he wasnt welcome here and to leave [she is a nurse and she was used to seeing shit . especially working night shift so this really didnt make her flinch here] now cut to us dumb ass little girls in our bedroom .. i remember one day seeing a boy come to us. we invited him to play barbies with us. and we named him andrew. and we remember there was something wrong with his neck. even as we grew up and we stopped seeing him physically we sensed shit in that closet and also..there was weekly occurances of what we called 'the radio men' which really sounded like a muffled group of guys talking from the living room. like they were on the radio but really really low. needless to say we spent a good bit of nights in our mums bedroom growing up. i still have dreams either trying to get out of that place or get to it for some reason. and i actually live like a five minute walk from there and often wonder how the people who are there now are doing. i like to think that my grandparents keep me protected from whatever that was now. but it still is pretty strange that now in my 30s im still dreaming about that place. likei said though my mom has stories for DAYS. this is just one. also a super short one... this isnt a ghost story per say because hes not a ghost but we were always close to our grandparents.and at the time we were in middle school they lived in south carolina. we live in pennsylvania. so its a bit of a way. i remember we went to see my grandpa in the hospital about a month before he passed and on our birthday week [me my sister and my grandpa all shared the same bday within like 4 days. his wa son the 11th ours is on the 15th] he seemed GREAT for what he was going through and i see now its because we were there.when i say this man set a prescendence in how a man should treat anyone i mean it. i still hold what he says in me to this day. fr. dont accept any less. so back to the story we were TIGHT with him. ride or die . the day he passed away we had a volleyball game we had no idea he died. i remember looking over my shoulder and seeing him in the stands. i thought hmm.thats weird. hes in south carolina [and also had cancer ] my mum came and got us and when we got home she told us that he passed away. but clear as DAY. i remember seeing my poppop in those stands. the veils always been kinda thin on this end of things. i think i get it from my mom haha. but thats just some of them~ lemme know if you have any!
