fav green flag in a person: i lowk feel bad for this guy; i think he dislikes women because his upbringing in the past but it was love at first sight when he saw you - he likes when people are commited and loyal, and someone who he can open about to without being scared of getting judged by them. but nevertheless, your wholesome personality just makes up for everything that he seeks in a person

okokok imma tryyyy to keep this shortish but i might end up infodumping cus theres sooo much i could say abt this.

SO as I said, I'm an apprentice for THE researcher/scholar for the behaviour of dragons, Cassius Clearsky. Cassius was my bio dad's best friend before my parents died so he took me in and I live with him on these floating islands called the Peregrine Islands.

Dragons in this universe (Equinox) are kind of super under-researched, so we know very little about them. Princess Isadora funds the Peregrine Islands Operative so that more is known abt them!!! eventually we're gonna have to write a big ol book and its gonna be a huge task but its gonna be my pride and joy <3

We each have designated riding dragons (mine is an orange feathered wyvern, his name is Solstice :)) but there are like, 6-9 other dragons that just. chill out on the islands fulltime because its an easier life lol.

I havent 100% decided what EXACTLY my work always entails, but ik its varied. like, sometimes its camping out to watch migrations, sometimes its watching social interactions, sometimes we get written to as the dragon authority and have to go figure that out like a scooby doo style quest.

Tbh the life isnt AS "high fantasy" as i originally planned on it being - for humanoids, theres only humans and elves - but the main focus of my life there is the dragons, 100%. Its medieval-ish, but with kind of magical steam-punky influence in more developed cities (especially The 9 Capitals)

Dragons are like super duper intelligent (depending.) and have a LOT of opinions so youre definitely not gonna get along with all of them. but theyre all sooo interesting and different and cool !!!

Like, Juno, Cassius's dragon? shes a Great Dawnshadow, which is ridiculously uncommon because their eggs only hatch during an eclipse. and they have different variants based on whether its a solar or lunar eclipse too :3!!!!

mythology:

being ruler of land, you are well acquainted with its occupants. not just the people dwelling, but those that aren't. the great dragon the humans fear, the fae that pulls pranks on the townsfolk, the still soul sleeping on one of your caves, and the keeper of your natural green house.

all connected, but not at all. you enjoyed their presences equally, which is much returned.

malleus, the great dragon, who allows you to fly with him. the flower crown's you make him remind him it's time you two meet again for a trip through the skies and renewal of the intertwined flowers.

lilia, the mischievous fae, who reveals himself as you kneel down to take a drink from the pond. when you expect your hands to reach the cool water, instead you are met with the wide eyed fae staring back up at you. much to your fright.

silver, the still soul, waking from rest only once a month. that day you fill with the outdoors, convincing him to wake and visit you more often. the forest agrees, as those days are happiest.

sebek, the keeper of your land, you knew the forest was dying quicker than you could revive it. as those things take time. hoping to catch children endangering it and themselves, you were instead surprised to find one helping it and tending to its lifelessness.

oh no i forgor to color the house word, im such a fake fan 3: /silly

gonna blab to you stuff that includes spoilers so adding a cut

sososososo, i read a minor spoiler by accident that the color of the text of house means something (idk WHAT it means but apparently it's something!!!!!!!!) and im excited to learn what because i feel like itll be really cool

BUT ABOUT WHAT I HAVE READ!!!!!!! sososososo, ive read textbooks before (nerd) and the way zampanò writes reminds me so much of them, but with fake sources its just. its so interesting how it brings in actual methods of writing real research things but at the same time just complete nonsense!!! like theres all these hyper specific sources like in research papers (such as like,an article JUST about karen and her emotions or about echos or somn JUST LIKE how a textbook would source an article about like, zorua biology.) the feeling of knowing something is OFF but not exactly what.

the way the book starts off "normal" before they truly enter the hallways, and then when they finally do their big journey in the text starts to loop and turn inside itself and stop making sense just like them. The way you realize you started reading a random list of art and you realize as you go that this list is actually looping and twisting around the page itself backwards and thats why some is upside down, the window that peaks into rambles about random stuff youd find in a house, like justlooking into yet another nonsensical world revolving around you. Just like the characters have to deal with, you read the story while it all goes to shit around you and you do your best to navigate.

AND THEN AND THEN, Navidson goes in and the pages get emptier. because the hallways are emptier for him, wide apart, so much space. the emptiness of the pages and turning them to see what's next and it gives you that amazing sense of both wonder and dread, and then when his friend in the wheelchair (forget his name and last time I looked up how to spell a name I got spoilers on the top of the wiki page, thanks wiki editors) starts to have his rope seemingly shoot up (but it's actually the stairs becoming taller) and the way every page has barely a word on it, like how navidson and tom probably feel, watching in what feels like slow motion as they know what's about to happen, the jolt in their guts as the text slides down the page as his rope

it has to be a lore character!! its no coincidence that an original survivor is coming out during their lore event instead of just alongside pinhead, and along with the introduction of a survivor totem, I think considering that fact that a lot of aspects of Talbot are inspired by him being a survivor previously, it makes sense he would bring perks that combine the two now that he's been both! plus i want it to be him sososososo badly

Vigo is also a solid options, the inventor and original experimenter for Blight serum, not to mention he also has a large role in the lore event, plus he understands how to "bend the rules of the fog" so he for sure could make a totem for survivors. He would be cool!

my opinion on;

character in general: revs so easily accesses nuance in his characters n it blows my mind like. please fuckin read his personality descriptions on his characters profiles. i lit go and read them sometimes just bc theyre just legitimately enjoyable to read. he’s really free wheeling with where his inspiration takes him and has these really fascinating (and detailed, woof) designs and builds up these whole worlds around them and its so so so so cool.

all his characters have this really pleasant (is that the right word lol) depth to them where theyre developed and you feel it and often have these really rich backstories but revs never takes himself or them too seriously. it makes his characters really fun while also bein super interesting. he strikes a really great balance w how they feel and i dig it. the way we build our characters is soooo different n i think thts one of the reasons i like his so much.

how they play them: sOOOo sososososo fun to read. again these characters have so much shit going on but revs plays everyone in a really nonchalant way and i love it sm. as someone who always has to think. really hard. abt everythin their characters say. i admire a lot how revs can just breeze right into it and play his characters in a way thatll just stick in yr brain and feel really real and also make me laff. so good.

hi u get a sweet home ramble cuz i havent watched it in a while and i miss it its so sososososo cool

so! sweet home is a webcomic turned netflix series! it is about horrors! basically the apocalypse kicks in and all the mcs are stuck in a apartment complex not knowing who'll turn into a monster next. the cinematography is rlly cool and the special effects ohhhhhhhhhhh the special effectssssssssss its amazing. so is the soundtrack. and so are the characters. just everything <33

the monsters are created by desire which like. do the rules make sense? absolutely not. can u pretend? sure! is it still badass as fuck? yes!!!!!!! when u look at the monsters and think abt why they turned into a monster, its heartbreaking and amazing. one of the monsters we see wanted to save his son but couldnt reach him so his monster form had long long arms. the cgi for the monsters is amazing and looks so real and its just!!!! yeahyeahyeah!!!!

i can never remember the characters names but theres the loner, the nerd, the ballet dancer (nerd's sister), ex-hitman, the bassist, the priest, and the firefighter. mainly. this show has lots of characters. their relationships are developed so well and some characters like the nerd are given such gray morality especially since he has to lead the whole apartment building and just. wow. everyone gets their own arc and own badass scene and its real real good. the firefighter lady is also just really hot like theres this one scene where shes running from a monster and lowers herself through a vent and u see all her back muscles and wowowowowo.

the ending is also fucking heartbreaking. u cant get attached to any of the characters because even if they dont die, they will break ur heart one way or another its aughauhguahguahguahg but its sososososoo well done and rlly gives the characters life and just AUGH. im fighting for my life trying not to spoil anything but here is a gifset that has a bunch of cool scenes from each episode :D

also 99% of the soundtrack is warriors by imagine dragons. i had a joke w/ my friends that i gained 10 years of life each time it played each time i watched it and i think i got up to like 150 before i stopped counting.

Gonna talk about some characters here that I've talked about before but not recently, too lazy to give them like introductions but theyre June's friends from school :). I'm also making a few minor changes/adding a thing or two that people I've talked about these characters to might notice

Each of the main four kids for Heart and Soul have a main interest or two that I associate with them! June is autistic and hers is her special interest in bugs and entomology! She likes beetles :) She also keeps an ant farm !! She has anxiety, depression, ptsd, a balance disorder (im still unsure of the specifics), and probably some form of bipolar disorder, and has a service dog named Angie to help her handle symptoms.

Zayn's is cartoons! Specifically 1920s cartoons but thats just because its what he grew up with, and since they're blind it can't compare them to modern animation yk. He has a lil ghost kitty named Mickey, the cat is a ghost because in the Heart and Soul universe pet souls won't move on without their owners.

Quinn has the most relevant interests, they're Super into paranormal stuff, ghosthunting, true crime, horror, alt fashion, etc. They are sososososo cool <3. They have tons of pets, three rats named Lock Shock and Barrel, tarantula named Ghostface, snake named Sandworm Frankenstein (cuz they couldn't decide lol), and two bearded dragons named Gomez and Morticia.

And Elijah (made him before I knew about chnt. The superior Elijah. mainly cuz he's 14 and the worst thing he's done is like. be too into Dear Evan Hansen) he's the character I get to push all my annoying theatre kid shit onto <3333. He grew up with Quinn cuz their moms were friends and they are absolutely inseparable its great. He's got a fucked up little chihuahua named Bruiser :)

If you could have any kind of animal as a pet, what would you have? A RACCOON!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THEM SOSOSOSOSOS MUCH and some people actually do have them as pets! They can be difficult though but WORTH IT

Who was your favorite teacher and why were they your favorite? OH BOY......I’m gonna say it’s a tie between my AP studio art teacher and my AP US government teacher from this past year, my senior year! My AP art teacher because our class was super tiny, 12 kids, and it really felt like a family?? She was a-okay with letting us all goof around and say weird shit, she was really chill and funny and like. part teacher, part friend, which was always nice. As for my AP gov teacher, he was SO. FUCKING. FUNNY. OH MAN. NOT EVEN ON PURPOSE he just like? put up with SO MUCH? we had some real character kids in that class and my teacher’s reactions were HILARIOUS. he had a sarcastic streak too so his responses were equally as funny when someone did something weird. He would say the funniest stuff just ask @/harpxer I would tell her so many stories from that class sohboshrb. Aside from the humor that class was really interesting, and he’s a really good, invested teacher - he wanted us to learn, he’s super passionate about government and history, and he always started off each class with 2 current events which was really nice and helped me learn more about things happening in the world too!!! overall that was like my fav non-art class I’ve ever taken!!!!

What’s your guilty pleasure (and I’m challenging you not to say some kind of food)? HMMMMM. Honestly I’m gonna go ahead and say really cheesy or lame movies/shows (like, Disney channel movies, dumb shows - like the one summer I watched all of Glee LOL, stuff like that). I got a bunch of boring stuff but the things I’m most excited about are: two posters I got for my dorm (The Office is one and one is Lord Huron), a giant wall tapestry (it’s Up themed!!!), tWO BNHA/POKEMON CHARMS THAT CAME TODAY AND EVERY TIME I LOOK AT THEM I START CRYING BC THEYRE SO CUTE, and oh my GOD I BOUGHT THIS GIANT PILLOW FROM TARGET AND IT IS THE SINGLE SOFTEST THING I’VE EVER FELT AND IT’S HUGE AND IT IMMEDIATELY BECAME MY #1 COMFORT OBJECT AND TOP FIVE FAV THINGS IVE EVER BOUGHT!!!!!!
