my partner is asleep still and i feel like i need to just yell about something so here I go

first point: I do not like slow songs, generally. I enjoy fast, upbeat music. The song doesn't have to be about upbeat things, but I do not have the attention span for slow songs. My favorite genre of music is EDM, with more specifically like... progressive house and dubstep. So not liking slow songs isn't really surprising based on that.

But holy shit... I HATE acoustic versions of songs. Like, HATE them with a passion. Take a song I like? and make it SLOWER? take out everything I liked about the song? Fucking absolutely not. Skip for me. I hate it. It has always been that way for me and I have never listened to an acoustic version of a song I liked.

Ok so recently when I heard the new version of Blue, the I'm Good (Blue) version with David Guetta and Bebe Rexha, I was hit with disgust. How dare you touch such a classic song with the vocals of Bebe Rexha of ALL people (hate her vocals!). But maybe its the lack of new music I like recently, but the song has grown on me. It's just a fun dance song! Like, def not my favorite all-time song but of all the new songs recently, it is probs my #1 (which.... isn't saying something good but whatever!).

But then..... I heard it. the most viscerally disgusting thing in the world. They put out an ACOUSTIC VERSION!!!! EXCUSE ME???

It is genuinely one of the worst things I have ever heard. It took out EVERYTHING that made the song enjoyable. Like it makes me see fucking red. Why does every god damn song need an acoustic version?????

Here is the garbage if you've havent heard it. Id love to know what anyone else thinks cuz I feel like Im losing my mind

Once Paramore drops their new album on 2/10 and Skrillex puts out TWO!!!! albums soon I'll stfu and be happy and never complain again but until then.... I'm throwing up and crying over how awful this is
