Im out here watching people draw sun and moon but as Mermaids and im........ like most of these people split them into diferent bodies and like i understand the appeal and why. But also: yall are totally missing out on how cool that "switch" would be from a biological stand point?!

his reasoning behind it was that the wife’s 12th house (which rules sleeping, beds, bedrooms) cusp began at the 21º of aries, and the ruler of that house, mars, was at the 6º in virgo. aries simbolizes to create and the 21º, a sagittarius degree, simbolizes to enlarge. so, his wife wanted to create (aries) a larger (sagittarius/jupiter) bed (the 12th house). because mars, the ruler of the 12th house, was placed in virgo (someone who renders services, a worker), she called the carpenter to the house. her mars was, however, in virgo at the 6º which is a virgo degree (virgo simbolizes diminishing, making smaller), which meant the measure of the bed had to be smaller than needed. therefore, the cusp of the 12th house (the bed) at the 21º (sagittarius - larger, longer) signifies that the bed was both long enough (enlarged), and mars in virgo at a virgo degree (6º) meant that it was not wide enough (it was narrow). nikola established connections between degrees, the signs, the planets and the houses where they fell and the aspects that they made in order to make this kind of predictions.

THE 2º DEGREE - SUPREME POWER 

nikola, through the research of the birth charts of many people throughout history, observed how those who contained planets, houses and aspects (+lunar nodes, arabic parts, vertex and of course, the four cardinal points: the IC, MC, AC and DC) in the 2º degree were those who made remarkable achievements, who wielded extreme power and were highly respected. he got to this conclusion by analyzing the birth chart of queen victoria - other rulers at the time had more powerful aspects than she did, but allas, they weren’t the ones to almost rule the entire world - it was her, so he began noticing the pattern between power and the 2º. literal jesus himself had his mercury in pisces in the 2º. i myself have four degrees at 2º, so it’s nice to know my dreams of starting a revolution, overthrowing the government and achieving world domination are supported by the astros

THE 5º DEGREE - EROTICISM 

this degree is connected to beauty, desire, sex appeal, receiving sexual attention. many sex icons like marilyn monroe, jean harlow and mata hari had it present in their birth chart. nikola talks about this being the best degree in his eyes. considering that it’s a leo degree, it’s all about living, having fun and enjoying life. 

THE 11º DEGREE - DIVORCE / SUICIDE 

both the 11º and 23º degrees of aquarius indicate divorce, but, according to nikola, the 11º is connected to suicide.

THE 15º DEGREE - CAR ACCIDENTS 

this degree, when connected to scorpio + the 8th house, can indicate car accidents.  

THE 18º DEGREE - PURE EVIL 

simbolizes a bad destiny. to nikola, this is the worst degree you can have. it can indicate rare deseases, tragic accidents. he says there’s no good about this degree but i absolutely disagree. not to be a hopeless optimist or to pretend to possess half the knowledge that he does but i think it’s pretentious to assume that a degree is literally all bad and that there’s nothing we can do about it — that takes away from our free will and our inner strength. Many, many people have this degree present in their charts (i believe nikola had it himself), it’s all about facing hardships but, well, that’s life.

THE 22º DEGREE - TO KILL OR BE KILLED 

nikola has found this degree in the birth charts of murderers + people that were murdered. his significance of “to kill or be killed” is quite literal. now, i want to remind you that this is the worst case scenario and that this degree can manifest itself in many diferent ways - just like the 18º and the 8º. the death can be figurative. for example, donald trump’s chart: he has his sun in 22º, and his mercury in 8º - and I’m afraid he’s quite alive at his old age and kicking it, even if he’s suffered a public destruction. @saintzjenx in her degree theory post talked about how this placement can also indicate abandonment. i agree, i have my sun at 22º in the 10th house (the house of the father) and my father was very emotionally absent + physically as well (his work has him working at other cities during the entire week) 

THE 29º DEGREE - CLAIRVOYANCE/PROGNOSTICISM 

the 29º indicates someone with clairvoyant potential, someone who makes accurate predictions, with great intuition. it’s to note that nikola himself had a 29º in his chart, and that he became known for the predictions he made using the degree theory (for example, he predicted that america would have its first black president ten years before barack obama was elected). but he does like to say that he has absolutely no intuition, though - what prompted him to study the degrees was his virgo rising, acording to him, his need to study and put his brain to work. still, he observed how many clairvoyants had this degree. other astrologers talk about this being a degree that means destruction (and when you analyze trump’s birth chart and how he has his ascendant and his 11th house at the 29º, you can very much argue about the truth behind that theory) but all in all, nikola talks about this degree as benefic. 

in case you’re feeling bad, remember i have the to kill or be killed 22º, plus the 8º of death, plus the 11º of suicide, plus the 23º of divorce, plus two of the 18º of pure evil! let’s suffer together besties. on the upside i have four of the 2º so we riding to eternal glory! 

but now seriously, i know some of this is very hard bc obviously life isn’t all fun and games but. remember that we all have free will, life isn’t determined and having a lot of these in your chart doesn’t mean impending doom!! i have them and i’m very much kicking it and i’m not intending to stop. it’s all about acceptance, learning how to work with even the worst degrees in order to make the best out of them. plus, the degrees can manifest themselves in a lot of different ways and a lot more matters than just them being present - like the signs that they’re in, the aspects with which they make and how harsh they are, the house where they fall etc etc.

The Moorside

So, when I heard about this, I was kinda appalled. I mean, this is akin to making a drama about madeline mccan. For me at least, the Shannon Matthews disappearance was one of those very formative moments where you realize the world is not safe. But I like Sherriden Smith, and after the initial shock, I decided to give it a try.

Here are my thoughts:

Dear god that recording of her call to the police sent a shiver down my spine. I just remember that getting played over and over again on the news.

imagine how surreal it is to watch this if you were actually in that community. like i remember it but only from it constantly being on the news. Imagine remembering your town swarming with police.

I mean i could also say imagine if you’re actually shannon matthews and how horrible this being made must be, but you know, thats another post in itself. 

Do you think there are folk watching this that dont like, know, about whats actually going on?

Oh aye, I’ve just remembered why it felt so personal to a lot of folk in scotland. I think a lot of the Peter Tobin stuff had just happened. And I remember this sense that, obviously there was a significant age difference between Shannon Matthews and Vicky Hamilton, but there was a sense that if Vicky could have ended up in england, Shannon might end up in scotland. That might have just been in my family though.

I’m still not sure if i totally approve of this but honestly I’m here for the maddy mccan comparisons. Like, the diference between the way a middle class nuclear family were treated, and the way a poor, working class woman with several children to different fathers is treated.

Just the diference in the rewards offered by the papers is staggering. 

Right so, general conclusions:

We’ve not actually seen Shannon properly, except in photos, footage, and from behind and at a distance right at the end. Thats kind of how this drama has treated her story. Because fundamentally, this is her story, but that’s not the story they’re telling. I’m not sure if thats a good thing or not. Not only would it be cruel to Shannon, who is now 18 and probably desperate to leave this in her past, but I’m not sure you could tell the story of her imprisonment. It seems far more about class and community than the trauma of a young girl. And it doesnt sit well with me that this very personal trauma is being made about people other than the girl central to it. But at the same time, from what I remember as a girl only two years older than shannon at the time, it shock the wider world. If not the nation, then working class comunities across the country who saw people like them expriencing tradgedy and not being taken seriously, being treated as guilty until proven innocent. And I’m glad they’ve focused on that side of the story, even if I’m still not sure if its fair to Shannon herself for this story to be told without her.

Steven universe ramblings(ATTENTION HIGH LEVEL SPOILERS)

As you know new episodes of Steven universe have been leaked, these episodes aren’t due until January 30th but I have watched them And I’m going to talk about what happens, obviously a read more fore those who want to wait for the official release.

Steven’s dream

Many important things happen here, the first is Steven’s outburst with the gems, while his reasonings are accurate he is also neglecting what kind of effect could have the place over Pearl and Garnet(and it’s obvious that they aren’t comfortable at all with it). While the fact that people you love are keeping secrets from you can be hurtful and frustrating you also have to give them a space to tell every thing instead of demanding so violently. Moving on other things I wasn’t expecting to see Uncle Andy so soon, and Blue diamond came completely out of the... blue(badum-tsh).

Adventures in light distortion

Leaving aside the whole “color-trip” that is the episode, the important part is Steven realising theat his impulsivnes has gotten his father captured, wich is good for him. I mean hes 14 soon he’ll stop being a child he needs to start thinking more with the long therm efects of his actions.

Gem heist

This was a good episode to remind us that gem society is very classist. And holly blue, ugh her voice is like a drill in my head. I don’t think, ther was much tot this episode than this. Maybe to set up the amethyst reveal for the last episode, but not much else.

The zoo

Behold Greg the first person to send an entire colony to the friendzone. In all siriousnes I liked that the made Greg say what he said, consent is important especially on a relationship and everyone withou exeption can say no and should be respected. Also loved how the amethist tried to console the humans insted of just reducing them.

Now this is an interesting episode. Mainly because its centred arround the two diamonds we know. We explore a more human side of them seeing how diferently experience grief: Blue is completely swallowed by sadness and Yellow completely represses it. Here's a true story of how two bestfriends, a boy from the East Coast, and a girl from the West Coast, ultimately ended their relationship, because one fell in love with the other. Enjoy. Her name is Lindsey. We met eachother years ago in Shreveport Louisiana. Every day we grew increasingly close to eachother, became bestfriends, and evetually shit got real and we started fooling around, assuming the title "Bestfriends (with benefits)". Details of how we moved to diferent sides of the map are irrelevant, thats a totally diferent story I can provide upon request. Lindsey and I remained very close ever since we separated, even on occasion flying to the other person's city for a visit. We'd book a hotel, toss up the DO NOT DISTURB sign, have incredible dirty sex all over the room, be as loud as we wanted, and let the unfortunate housekeeper worry about the mess when we went out drinking and shopping. We had always crushed on eachother, never at the same time, which is why we never dated. So instead of being frustrated about that predicament, we just fucked we got over it. Around April of 2017, to prevent things from becoming complicated, we came to a mutual agreement to just be friends, no more emotions, no more sex, just friends. She began doing shit that kind of freaked me out. For brief example; we would be relaxing watching a movie, im trying to ignore the bad vibes and help her have some fun. Something funny in the movie would happen, id laugh, look at her to see if SHES laughing, and shed be staring at me with tears on her face trying not to cry. Multiple occassions this occurred. And its fucking awkward. Maybe I was being insensitive, I get it, shes sad, but we both spent money to be there together and i wanted to make the best of it. Fast forward to the 3rd and final day together. We day drink from the morning until maybe 7pm. The advances and emotions persist. The entire afternoon she was severely bipolar, which i expected this but its okay i just want to relax and be drunk. She cried and cried, and then the next few minutes shed be really happy again and dancing, whatever. The entire time I know whats really bothering me, but im too afraid to tell Lindsey how I feel right now. So i hold my tongue and pretend to be okay. I know she remembers i like Kelly, because she kept referencing her. Asking how she was doing, or shed crack jokes about her when i spoke of her. Classic jealousy, completely obvious. Fast forward to around 7 or 8pm of the evening together. We finish day drinking, somewhat sober up, and track down a Texas Roadhouse. We get to our table, order a drink or two, and have a casual conversation while reflecting on the past couple of days. We have an honest conversation about our feelings: "What are we?" "Can we ever truly just be friends?" "Let me tell you what I think." And overall just communicating as friends about the future, and how we can fix this shit hole situation. Finally we actually had a good time together, and it was mutual. It sank in that i was just not interested in her like I used to be, and that we would truly never be together. She still let out a few tears, but like a man i comforted, and we overall enjoyed our last meal together in the same state. Fast forward to the parking lot after dinner, where shit hits the fan. Its relatively empty. I go to the passenger side of my car, open the door for her so she can get in, but we are still engaged in our heart to heart conversation so we end up loitering for awhile. I light up a cigarette, lean back against the car, and she wraps her arms around my torso and just kind of rests there, head on my chest. Ive got one arm around her and one arm free smoking my cigarette. Boom, imagery. THIS IS WHERE I REALIZE THAT BLUNT HONESTY IS NOT OKAY WHEN ADDRESSING A JEALOUS GIRL WHO IS IN LOVE WITH YOU. I wasn't mean at all, i very calmly and respectively told her exactly what the reason was. I sighed deeply and said "I cant do anything with you, and ive been distant, because all i can think about is Kelly." This may be an outdated reference, but in maybe 1 second, she went from my sweet, calm, understanding bestfriend, to full blown going Jersey Shore on me. She started screaming at me, telling me that she cant believe this, etc etc. Telling me how every time she tried to move on and be with other people, she always felt guilty and cried because even though we werent together, she felt she was cheating on me. And here i am doing the same thing, but im thinking of Kelly, not her. So she put everything i ever did for her in question. Was it truly sincere? Did i ever really care about her? The whole fucking works. During all of this she is sitting on the concrete indian style just ranting relentlessly, and she procedes to get comfortable. I KNOW she plans to dig in for a decent duration because everything that was in her pockets, one by one she starts slamming it on the concrete around her, all in all making a statement to the world that says "fuck everyone and everything." Im a stubborn bastard, so from the time she started flipping out on me, to the time we finally get in the car and leave, like a man, i was still propped up against my car smoking, letting her lay into me with her insults, and ridiculous questions. All i did was stare straight ahead fed up. And I ignored her. She was pissed at me for the obvious reasons, i was pissed at her for freaking out, when all i wanted was to be honest with her. We are adults, let alone we werent even dating, id barely expect this reaction from a distraught girlfriend. But i get it, im the guy, i played with her emotions, now im getting burnt. We finally get in the car, maybe 11p, not once did i say a word to her throughout the whole car ride. At this point im ready to drop her ass back to her grandparents' house so i can check out half a day early from my hotel and drive back to west florida THAT NIGHT. Thats how pissed i am. Im still tipsy, exhausted, but the only thing i want to do is take an 8 hour trip back to my personal bed and sleep all day. But i cant take her to her grandparents' place, she still has some personal belonging in my room. We get back to the room, she climbs in my bed and pouts until she falls asleep. IN MY BED. So what do i do? Ofcourse I refuse to get in bed with her. So after 5 hours of debating on packing up all of her shit for her, waking her up, and taking her home, just like my entire highschool career, i sat at the desk, laid my head down on the table and went to sleep. Woke up that morning at 11, checked out at noon, took her home, still not one word was said to eachother by the way. The first and final words she said to me was "okay drive safe" no goodbye hug, no apologies from either sides, no attempt to fix the situation. She walked past me, i got in my car, backed out of her grandfathers driveway, we looked at eachother one last time, and i drove away. To this day, we still don't speak, the end of a relationship with a girl ive know for a fifth of my life. Love will make you do dumb shit for reasons you cant comprehend. But be careful when you go to tell people how you feel about them. It can really play with their heads and you can lose someone dear to you in the future because you dont know how to keep your mouth shut. Lindsey if you see this, im so sorry.

Finished watching season 2 with my niece!

I finished watching Rebels Season 2 with my 10 year old niece and it was a wild ride! After the Season 1 finale, she had expected Ahsoka (who became her favorite character on Disney Infinity) to join the Rebels cast full-time but I reminded her that she already 'had a job' in the Rebellion and had other responsibilities... but would likely help them when needed. This post is obviously much longer than the previous review by the sheer amount of episodes in S2 (even if we skipped a couple) and because my niece started to make LOTS of questions at one point, which is great because she has started to slowly take in the lore.

There is one thing though. If I hadn't been there with her to answer her questions, I'm not sure she would have followed certain plot points. Season 1 did great by keeping it local in Lolthal but now that they were jumping around planets and started to bringing more people from the past, she had some trouble keeping track of the whole picture. I don't think she ever had to deal with so much story lore before on other shows. Didn't get all of the episodes but just the most important comments:

Siege of Lothal.

"What's Kanan's problem? He's being very rude. He wasn't like this..."

"She ((Minister Tua)) needs to leave or she might lose her head too"

"Is this a trap?... uhm... but they have to take the risk. Ezra is right, they should help people. Do the right thing."

Final verdict: "There is more right? RIGHT? THIS CANT BE THE END. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT"

We have been watching the Seasons 1/2 in Netflix, and as they don't have season 3 yet, I told her I would look for them later. In the mean time, we started playing Infinity again. She got to play Kanan, I got Ezra... and she started chasing me for a while with his lightsaber. "He didn't apologized to Kanan! COME APOLOGIZE TO ME! I LIKED YOU EZRA! YOU LOST ME!". I then took us to a challenge I had previously done for her with Maul... one that I had hoped made the image of Maul fresh on her mind for the season finale but failed miserably... and let her get a cathartic fight with him and Kanan. She reveled in it.
