The urge to be like what if I made it look different (e.g switching from dark to light mode or changing the text colour) when trying to write a fic to see if it will make a difference in my productivity. hmm hm hm. okay. probably because i fear i'm lost. just bc like... idk i'm proud of how it turned out and i'm really . idk. happy with the reception it got. i'm happy it reached people who can relate to it. and it's short enough that there's not like, enough space for there to be parts where i just have to force myself to write stuff i'm not 100% happy with to fill in the gaps. if that makes sense

Scene from a Nic and Adrian crossover book I will never write

(For context: Nic is my Time Lord OC/my version of The Doctor from my fandom writing and Adrian is from Project Gemini, a leader of a rebellion and grew up in the military.here they're preparing for like a final battle and Nic kinda storms into the area, maybe drawing like a short sword or something, despite having recently gone through something traumatic. Lost loved one, a recent particularly difficult fight, a series of seizures from PTSD. Whatever)

"Where's the fight?" Nic demanded, his voice echoing.

Adrian turned around to answer but stopped dead when he saw his friend before him.

Adrian knew his fair share of pain, and he'd seen more than enough people completely break down. He'd heard about Nic's life, about everything the twins had lost in their long lives, from Weston.

But it didn't feel real until that moment. In that moment Adrian could see the centuries of pain and suffering in his eyes. A man who had had his very will to live stripped away from him.

In that moment, Adrian's heart broke.

It breaks because he knows.

So when Nic demanded 'wheres the fight?', Adrian saw his friends pain, knew had seen too much, and yet, somehow, Nic was still going back to do the right thing.

And his heart breaks.

Like, there is something to be said about fandoms in general and how they've changed as a whole generally but

There's also something about how the acotar fandom is especially toxic like

The idea that a post is surprised a murder hasn't happened yet and I found myself agreeing??? Is honestly telling

Like, also. A massive part of this is shipping and maybe it's because I have my corner of this fandom, but even then shipping the "wrong" thing in general has become something I honestly have to take in consideration when thinking of my mental health and if I can personally be prepared for any backlash??

This fandom at large doesn't feel safe and that's majorly concerning tbh

Maybe instead of saying shippers as a group are doing harm, we should just disavow harmful actions in general and not be complicit in it idk???
