Can confirm, we don't usually use the word "reckon" in the States. We typically use the word "think" instead. Other words: suppose, believe, guess, imagine. I usually only come across "reckon" in fics written by Aussies, Brits, or stories set in those places like Harry Potter or Sherlock fics. I'm not saying it's never used, but it isn't high on the list. It's a great word though.
