i got routine bloodwork done the other day and before my appointment i drank electrolyte water containing 420mg of sodium (18% of recommended daily intake for abled people). yet, my sodium levels were still the same as my fasting bloodwork - borderline hyponatremia (low sodium).

i really wonder if i have CAH. i dont want to mess with my hormones but i do want to make my POTS less severe. =/ a little hard to do that if you're (probably) often hyponatremic.

Day 430

The last month and a week has taught me to be more aware of my mind wandering. I’m so used to having a wandering mind growing up that I’ve never questioned it. After all, who doesn’t like to have a jaunt in a mental story every now and again?

Apparently that’s not normal.

Being aware of it though does make it more annoying when there are things I want to do. Yesterday was particularly bad. I suspect it was triggered by the fact I had a very mundane task to do at work. It’s strange, I always thought I liked admin tasks the best because I could put on music and just work without stopping the music and without interruptions, but the reality is my brain doesn’t like admin tasks. Admin tasks are things I can do on auto-pilot, which means my brain isn’t being kept occupied enough, which means it tends to make its own entertainment. 

Entertainment that is distracting enough to cause me to zone out for a few minutes at a time, or longer.

At least I didn’t fall asleep while doing my work. Though it did mean it was hard to reign my brain back in, even after work.
