Do we know what the relationship between milsiril and helki is? Those panels of her manhandling him for kabru are really funny, they seem close? Saw someone say helki was kabrus foster dad and was wondering if there was a source for that

As far as I know there's nothing about a romantic relationship officially between them (I ship tho) this isnt gonna be very straight foward cause I'm honestly still trying to figure out whats their current relationship.

He was Milsiril prisoner partner from when she was part of the canaries, from their interactions it seems they got along (at least better than she got with any other elf, they're always together and it's shown she pretty much shuts off everyone else, other nobles don't seem to be that close with the prisoners they're responsible for)

Just to explain better in the canaries there's Noble children and Prisoners, each noble is responsible to "keep an eye" on two prisoners and Milsiril was the noble responsible for Helki (unclear if she had another prisoner under her).

After Utaya she requested for him to be freed tho, so he's no longer a prisoner after she retirers. From the comics tho (especially Rin's extra) it seems he stayed with the canaries at least for a little longer than Milsiril, perhaps something similar to Erique? (I think Enrique was released for merit(功労) tho while that's not implied for Helki(報労) so I dont think he would have served as a guard?)

The same page now points him as an current ex canary tho

But I think this translation isn't very accurate? The original says

"ウタヤの報労として 赦免、引き受け"

First line is "as a reward for Utaya" then bellow "pardon, acceptance/undertaking" something like that? The translations seems to imply he was pardoned and given to her as a reward? But trying to search on google I think 引き受け seems to have a closer meaning to "taken responsability for"? Something like that is repeated by Fleki here.

So from my not very clear understanding they were Canary Partners and she vouched for him to be released after Utaya and now he either works for her or they're just friends (which i think its more accurate by how he was laughing at Kabru and how he was joining the canaries on the Rin thing without Milsiril, but I'm very biased about my perception of their relationship tbf)

NOW THAT SOMEONE ELSE BROUGHT IT UP YES there's very peculiar things in the artstyle, one being obviously the eyes (both on doodle (unserious) and rendered (serious) artworks) The eyes are very distinctive to the character! They add so much to them!! Forever gonna be obsessed with how they are drawn

Azai feels a lot like a predator in like, immediate danger kind of way. Saran feels more ominous, looming, the tentacles dont really add much to that (despite the amount of eyes, funny enouhj) but rather, it's thanks to him often being drawn with his eyes closed and smiling (Which fits their characters!! Azai is dangerous, yes, but Saran is worse now, and he is after Azai, and Azai doesn't realize it yet!. To quote you, he's making use of every blind spot to crawl closer to Azai and get what he's after)

Even from child Saran, he just feels like he's constantly scheming lol. The danger is high but may not be directed at you (Saran) vs feels like if his eyes fell on you, its because you fucked up (Azai)

Others like Vika or Luka (who have this ethereal look to them usually) feel a lot more, i would say open? But also feel like their eyes are rather empty compared to the vibe the other two give off?? Half the time Vika's eyes give off a vibe he's not quite there (disconnect between body and person. Which is literally what the parasite caused) that is fascinating! I would argue he feels more present in artwork where the character has his eyes closed/his face is not shown at all. It's incredible!!

For Luka it's a but softer, but its a similar sensation. It feels absent too but more in the way a person can be when they're deep in thought. Ivan's eyes I refuse to look at enough to analyze properly lol. Your art style highlights a part of canon that unnerves me lol. I think it might be due to the red dot in his eye but his eyes feel too focused? He has one feet in each side at the line between devotion and obsession

He and Saran are always looking, but funny enough despite the amount of eyes Saran has, Ivan beats him in intensity

(I am slowly making my way through the other OC's so review pending on how their gaze feels too. I will say now that the vampire guy whose name i cannot remember currently for the life of me feels skittish. Which, he's drawn skittish, so that tracks. He feels like he's one thing going wrong away from a meltdown lol. Highstrung)

The second thing is, on those that are rendered, colors!! The pallette usually skews towards colors that are more contrasting (WHICH IS LOVELY), and that pattern even sorta follows to the black and white pieces because you will have things that are glaringly stark (/pos) against the white background. Looking at other's quick doodles and black/white pieces, that contrasting feel seems to be unique for yours (fun thing to look at, it seems that some characters are less prone to looking that way (softer, thinner lines, less blocks of contrasting color more gradients that tend to melt into the background color))

Third thing is hair. So soft. Lovely. I haven't been able to pinpoint what it is exactly (maybe it's that messy-like appearance? Like, it doesn't FEEL like messy hair (there's Saran's bed hair for comparison lol) but there's something about it. It eludes me. The closest my brain is getting is "uncanny perfection/natural mess". If that were a scale the hair would be firmly on the natural side

I just like the vibe hair has in your style. Very fluffy

(The bonus thing is expressions. Goes with what I said about the eyes, but the expression (both face and body) tie it in as a whole. Their body language is really good. I find particularly pleasing the way confidence is portrayed through some of the actions (it shines a bit more in the NSFW blog) or the pose. Beautiful)

(This is just me going on a tangent about a particular variant of all of the above, but in the Bonus to that mini comic about Vika being insecure in how he will change while Saran remains the same, the way Saran wraps his arms around Vika and the style changes to something a bit more goofy (reflecting how Saran starts acting to cheer up Vika) is very neat to me. I think about that a lot. It screams safe)

House Ravenwatch has dubbed Faenlir their 'bloodhound' - a little pun on him being the only werewolf in a group of vampires

Faenlir's made the cellar area of castle Ravenwatch his 'den' when he and Fenn aren't traveling. He doesn't use it often, preferring to stay near Fenn wherever he roams, but he does use it if he's ever overstimulated or if theres guests in the castle

Fae is also nervous about thunderstorms, so he'll hide out in his cellar den during those as well. On days like that, Fenn will move whatever equipment or research material he can down there so he can keep Fae company

Faenlir has joint pains from his transformations due to malnourishment in childhood, Fenn brews him medicine to ease any aches

The two of them had actually been flirting with each other for a while without the other knowing, since both of them are not only horrible with social cues, but also come from very different socially cultural backgrounds. Fae would always bring Fenn game from his hunts; even though Fenn couldn't actually eat it, but knew he could at least utilize the bones for alchemy purposes. Fenn would try and teach Fae about alchemy, reading, research and the like because he wants to share his favorite hobbies with the other; meanwhile Fae just thinks he's trying to showcase the skills that House Ravenwatch wants him to learn in order to be useful.

Since poor Faenlir was left heartbroken in his recent past by another man, which lead to a reintroduction of internalized homophobia thanks to what his own family taught him, it was up to Fenn to make the first actual move and confess - after being nagged at by Gwendis and Adusa to stop pining and go for it already

Fenn will easily do the talking in conversations, since Faenlir is quite socially inept. He only says a few mumbled words when approached in conversation

Is absolutely like a bodyguard (aka guard dog) to Fenn, especially in werewolf form. You'll always find him hovering around Fenn if the two are out on a mission

Even though Fenn has his emergency blood flask, Faenlir will gladly let him drink his blood. Fenn only starts drinking from Fae once the bosmer has gained some healthy weight

Fenn describes Fae's blood as "woodsy with a bit of zest and spice, something similar to cinnamon"

Fae rarely gives full-bellied laughs, and mostly just snickers or huffs amusedly when he finds something funny. But on the rare chance he DOES howl with laughter (pun intended), Fenn is physically stunned by the sound. Sure, Fae's full laugh is wheezy and makes him cough cause he isn't used to it, but Fenn still thinks its the most joyous sound he's ever heard

And vice versa, Faenlir will literally do anything to hear Fenn laugh. It's a light and playful sound and it makes Fae's heart flutter every time

Faenlir HATES wearing too much clothing, it feels restrictive and a lot of fabrics make his skin itch. You'll typically always see him shirtless and wearing some kind of wrap skirt. He's typically shoeless or wearing a fabric/leather wrap combo on his feet. Grumbles whenever he has to wear some kind of undergarment in public. If he's ever in full clothing - or worse, winter garments - then just know he is absolutely suffering

While Faenlir tends to keep a stoic facial expression, he's very very very expressive with sound and body language. You can tell when he's relaxed, stressed, attentive, bored, defensive, etc. all by the way he stands or moves. He's also not shy when it comes to growling or barking or whining - even when he isn't in his werewolf form

The both of them LOVE cuddling, especially when Faenlir's in his werewolf form. Fenn curled up against werewolf Fae by the fire, reading or journaling while Fae snoozes and occasionally gives Fenn's hip or arm an affectionate nudge with his nose GOD i melt everytime i think about it

Fenn has absolutely rode on werewolf Faenlir's back on more than one occasion. Says they only do so when they need to get somewhere quickly, but he can't deny how fun it is.

Faenlir will get antsy and whiney if Fenn is away for too long, like a dog with separation anxiety. One time, Gwendis wanted to see if Fae could be weaned off his obsessive attachment; so the next time Fenn goes out to investigate something, she lies to Fae, saying Verandis wants him to stay "for security purposes". Needless to say, Fae was an utter wreck the whole time - barely ate, moods fluctuating between depressed and severely agitated, didn't speak a word to anyone, and even started destroying older storage items in the cellar whenever he transformed. When Fenn returned, Fae was even more clingy than usual; and Gwendis got an earful after Fenn found out.

Faenlir refers to House Ravenwatch as his "pack", and says where he is now is the happiest he'll ever be

A SHOW IDEA THAT I WANT TO MAKE REAL ONE DAY (really long post)

this is gonna be a HUGE little rant thing because i love talking about my ideas, future ideas, concepts. etc etc

i just realized i never said anything about this but uhh, for months ive been dreaming on wanting to make this string (I've always had in mind) come true

at first it was going to be a joke play with the huge inspiration of gumball. hes based on this joke episode i made called "Lil H". a baku inspired series (by sethical)

at the first point, he was literally gonna be called Lil h, LITERALLY. but I thought of a different name for him, and i named him "douglas dinget". it was a stupid name. the first image is the first concept idea i had for him if i actually wanted to take his design seriously . (its uhm... pretty old!). second image is the actual concept drawing when i thought of him having his own show (not a serious design take obviously LOL)

for 2nd image, he's just sonic but with a square cap hat, long gloves, basically a frickin recolor/edit LOL. it was funny when I imagined how he would look if I animated him and the background is just a realistic school. and then i thought of making his name "douglas tucker". i think him having that name is pretty cool and funny

his inspiration is a mixture of a chibi figure (like gumball) and his animations would be peanuts esque. like the way how he would walk, run, slip, etc etc. BASICALLY how peanuts characters are animated. i really loved imagining that as a test animation for this design, never really did it tho. im still learning animation

now this is where i suddenly had a new idea. i imagined "what if douglas had a girlfriend and she was a cactus? because cactuses and hedgehogs are spiky.." and this is where the design comes in

her name is KATHERINE STERLING!!!!! OMLLLL!!! (also a HALF redesign on Douglas)

this was the third character i thought of tho. second character is a "My melody" rip off LOL. (which she WILL be redesigned soon)

PERSONALITIES!!!

DOUGLAS: Douglas is normal about almost everything. it would be VERY rare to see douglas scared. he is extremely calm about stuff. he is tough. he doesnt take his rage out on anyone. even if some people would try to start a fight with him. he's a strong teen and he KNOWS he would knock someone out with one punch. its rare for him to get angry because he knows how strong he is. Lets just say hes kind of the opposite of gumball. Gumball can sometimes get scared when someone is raging at him (mostly people he knows who are STRONGER than him.) hes basically a wimp LOL. douglas is the opposite of that basically. douglas just does his own without meeting any new kid unless if they want to meet him (its best for him to wait if someone wants to be friends with him first)

KATHERINE: Katherine Is a very nice and polite person. but she can overreact sometimes and get mad at douglas if he says or does something that she doesnt like at all, especially if douglas makes a joke compliment to her. she basically hits douglas multiple times on the head. usually when she does that to her friends it hurts them but douglas barely feels anything when she does it to him LMAO

HADIZA: She trys to act tough like douglas despite the fact that douglas doesnt even try to act tough at all. she basically has the personality of gumball a little bit. she trys to stand up and be a more "scarier" person, trying to scare the big character. but when the big character makes a furious noise back at her, she would bunny hop away from them fast

CLAIRE: Claire is a pixelated happy girl living life in the world. nobody could ever ruin her mood except for one person. she mostly likes to keep the mood flowing and loves to interact with some people. she is pretty hyperactive at times too. she likes viewing the world as cupcakes and rainbows full of lollipops.

JACKSON: Jackson Is, to put it in short, a bit of a asshole. LMAO. basically jackson is always tired and can sometimes have aggresive tones. its very common for him. douglas has gotten use to his aggressiveness because theyve being friends ever since they were in kindergarten. Jackson has been getting tired of the world throughout the years.but luckily douglas and jackson are always staying communicated everyday. they never missed a single day not communicating. they are basically BEST best friends.

4. How many WIPs do you have right now?

actually shockingly few! ever since i finished my big owl house editing pass back in june i've not done a whole lot in terms of projects...and recently i've been playing rain world so instead of writing im playing rain world like 24/7. currently my only main project is the dess raises kris au, and in that 'verse the only thing i'm writing right now is a dess/chara relationship study. i WOULD finish it, but, uh. rain world. (<- guy who is trying so hard not to write rain world fic. i probably wont but also i am always tormented by ideas. but consider i have to tell the story of my slugpup scooter SCOOTER I WONT EVER FORGET YOU--)

5. What's a fic idea you've had that you will never write?

probably countless that i do not remember right now! but digging around through my drafts, i've got a few deltarune daemon aus that won't ever see the light of day...one of them was a fangame where the player played as one of kris's two daemons, and the other was a fic where ralsei was kris's daemon. the ideas from there have basically been repurposed elsewhere--a lot of my kris&ralsei stuff went into various works, and the fangame stuff is being reworked into the dess raises kris au.

beyond that, in terms of things that are actually abandoned and won't be used elsewhere, there are so many daemon aus that i've left behind for one reason or another, though the gravity falls transcendence au is the one that i think was the best...that one postcanon his dark materials fic i was gonna write where lyra and pan return to will's world and cause general shenanigans there with him and kirjava...a vera-centric son of sea foam wings of fire au because vera is the love of my life and i was rereading wings of fire bc i felt nostalgic....oh my god fantasy high SOPHOMORE YEAR FIC, which i tried to start TWICE, once from fig's pov and once from ayda's that was their road trip back home and i have some very funny snippets from...MY INFINITY TRAIN DAEMON AU WAIT THAT ONE STILL GOES SO HARD ACTUALLY. okay drop everything ive ever said the fact that i never wrote my infinity train book two daemon au is a travesty. i was cooking with that one.

11. Do you have specific playlists for writing fics?

sort of! i usually always have at least one or two songs i connect to any given fic, but in terms of what i listen to when actually WRITING, it's changed over the years. i used to put on compilations of video game music--usually utdr, pmd, and then just whatever got recommended to me lol--then i did like. those character playlists people make on youtube? mostly bc they tended to pull from the same pool of songs so it became good background noise lol. now i use the youtube mix or whatever its called for a similar reason--it tends to play the same handful of songs ive listened to a lot, so they dont distract me.

14. If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium, such as comic or film, which fan fic would you pick?

oh i LOVE this question, and it would be without a doubt my nimona daemon au oh, are you at all like me. nimona itself is obviously both a comic and a movie, and i'd say animated film since the fic follows the movie plot more--i think there'd be a LOT of really cool scenes you could get with that fic. i also think i could make killer animatics based on my fics if i could draw good enough <3 and thats not a joke i have scripts and sketch storyboards and everything. maybe one day i'll finish one of those.

xD i think most likely she's worried because she's concerned about how he's feeling + the residual auditory trauma affecting him. he does get frustrated very easily.

Urg.... that is mean! They very much give me an out here. I could easily watch a movie with the Police-Officer-Guy (who had us questioned TWICE by the time we've reached the middle of only chapter 2 XD) and avoided Elaine altogether. BUT I feel like it would not speak for my shipper-rules of accepting other ships even if I do not ship them if I avoided her just because I do not like to see her with Van. Not to mention, saying that I do not think their relationship works out on the long run without watching their connect-events is also kind of against the rules.

It was so much easier with Rean. My boy is faithfully when he is with me, so aside from Claire Alfin and Millium (and I think I felt save with Sarah in CS1 the first time I played it - wouldn't make that mistake twice tho XD) Rean hadly ever had Bonding-Events with anyone but Alisa and the boys. Since he has officially a harem, it felt only right that if you do not want him to flirt with EVERYONE all the time, to avoid the ones you don't want Rean to be with. (Tho I missed out on A LOT of stuff that should not have been optional do to that... only finding out about it after reading summaries of the other bonding events...) Van does not exactly have a harm and for the canon it feels more than right to do Elaines events just as much as the ones with Agnes. With Rean, I always felt the only ones feeling absolutely natural for Reans relationships and how they progressed were Alisa, Towa, Claire and Alfin as there 4 were the ones who canonically got the most canon-scenes going for them. (You could argue that Eliese should be among them but for me, Rean never saw her as anything but a sister - aside from when you as the player optionally chose for him to do so - so all the hugs and stuff was just an overprotective big brother act in my eyes... Oh and just for your information I do not mind incest-ships in fiction so that was not the problem here, on the contrary I do love myself a good incest-ship at times but Elise and Rean just didn't do it for me, because - once again - Rean always just felt like an overprotective big brother and not like a man who loves his sister a bit too much, if you get me XD) In any case, Van is making this a lot harder for me then Rean ever did, which is immensely funny, given how big Reans harem is compared to the measy choices Van has. (Granted, he still has more Ladys to go for then Joshua had and he might even beat Lloyd here too... but no one can beat the Harem-King Rean XD)

I do not exactly appreciate the fact that she has a similar taste and likes vanilla... but that is really just unfair. I honestly do not completely know what my problem with her is. Its not just the shipping-thing, I've grown out of that ages ago. Its just... I don't know. SOMEHOW I just can not find myself to like her. Even tho technically she is not someone who usually does anything that should cause one not to like her. She is also cool and a good fighter. I just... don't find myself liking her much ^^'

That freaking Screen with Judith in the background is driving me nuts. Because its moving it keeps distracting me and whenever we reach that shot from the picture, I feel like she is watching me XD

Judith somewhat photobombing the moment aside... I can kind of understand Elaine in a way. I think after she was telling Van he was out of line, its really not her place to say something like this now, but I can see where she is coming from regardless of that. She knows that deep down Van is a good guy with a hella lot of potential and in her eyes, he is wasting all that on doing Shady stuff that can get him into all sorts of bad and dangerous situations. She does not see yet how much good he actually does with his job and also that people like him, ho do the borderline illegal stuff are also necessary to keep things going. Just like Cao explained that Heyuee, is actually keeping order in the underworld by setting certain rules like that human trafficking is forbidding. Say about that organization and what it does what you want but here too, people like them are needed to keep things stable. I guess that is something Elaine has yet to learn.

Its a bit early to say that... but you are not wrong XD (We were talking about how Halle keeps Jack in line and Van was saying he will never let him live that down while Dingo pretty much does hardly see a difference between Halles and Agnes roles here, which I fund funny and cute. And it totally reminds me of that scene in Kai were Van almost used a lot of money in an auction because of some rare chocolate or something and she had to push him down explaining to him that he already spent a lot of money on new parts for the car XD

Agnes really could read the man like an open book from the very start. Impressive. I mean... he is not super hard to read... but he isn't super easy to read either ^^'

Maxims first impression wasn't really a good one. He is flirting with Agnes (whos age he doesn't know...) and all that while Feri is sitting next to her and Van is asleep in the driver-seat. This kind of behavior got him to lose Paulette to begin with, he should really be ashamed of himself!

And A LOT of arrogance XD (Also a child out of wedlock... you forgot that one Maxim... Jokes aside... he didn't know that until later, right?)

You have to give it to those two speeding idiots tho... they both stopped for the foxes. (I mean, yes, if they hit them their cars would have taken damage too, but at this speed trying to avoid the foxes almost posed more danger than hitting them directly - which I would not have approved of, mind you.) Maxim left a really bad first impression but kinda, sorta, somewhat made up for it by not hitting the foxes just to win the race. Even tho his car was immensely damaged, he did ask if the foxes where alright. So... some plus points for the man, please!

He is voiced by the same guy who voiced that director that makes those weird jokes in the original Persona 3. (I have yet to find out if they chose new voice actors for the Remake if this game - put first I have to finish Portable amongst a shitload of other games XD)

You get used to Ashen and Cao as a ship pretty easily as she makes it really clear what she wants and he is in no position to avoid that trap on the long run - maybe she reigns him in a bit, who knows? XD (Or they are both a team we should be fearing... that's about to be seen I guess ^^') HOWEVER in the beginning of my first playthrough I was hoping Ashen would change her mind and go for Aaron instead. But alas... I guess people in the main-character-teams have it a bit harder to find love. Woman more so then man for obvious reasons, but still... I mean... Reans boys almost all got to be boyfriends eventually I guess, but... did you EVER see Mint and Elliot coming before Cold Steel 4 threw it in your face? ^^' Randy on the other hand was childsplay with his ship. It did take him like 3 games later to get there tho ^^' So... guess Aaron is not completely lost yet. Its just not Ashen he gets to end up with. But as I said, I can live with that by now. You gotta enjoy the odd couples every once in a while XD

•one of the more deeper talks they had together, was that after pony left, darry couldnt stop thinking about the lot, it was a place where the gang went to hang out but after everything happened, nobody rlly went there anymore so w his new interest in gardening he took that as his first place to start, as a way of correcting his wrongs and changing the look of it in hopes that in the future the place would b a place to admire!!! and to lowkey mourn johnny

CIGGIE WITCH: they have a really slow, soft, sort of calming sound. honestly they are very lovely! really sweet music, very calming. unfortunately my type of music is loud and fast so its definitely not for me, but also definitely Good Music!!

ANNAKYE: they only have six songs . colours is REALLY good. it has a slow buildup but once it hits it HITS. very good well worth a listen. skimmed through their other songs, and they seem quite fun too. im gonna check them out more later

FEEDTIME: these guys have been around since 1979??? listened to the whole of i wanna ride because i thought itd be about gay sex but apparently its about motorbikes. the song felt like it was building up to something that just never came. listening to it is like the audio version of being edged. but it was also just a really fun sound, and they seem to have a fair few albums out, so im gonna come back and listen to at least the whole of their self titled debut album

MALCURA: their top song is a cover of gerudo valley from legend of zelda. already an amazing song, and yet honestly they made it sound better. i did enjoy that cover a lot. they seem to play only flamenco inspired music, which is incredibly good, but not something i would add to a playlist and listen to regularly. i am gonna save them though because their flamenco-esque cover of get lucky by daft punk makes me incredibly happy and i reckon itll be great background music for an incredibly specific dnd campaign setting. honestly that could be said of all of their music. very good background music and their skill definitely shows, check it out! actually this daft punk cover is amazing

OUR CARLSON: listened to cappo dog and i genuinely cant tell what its meant to be about. is cappo some australian slang that passed me by?? i think it might be short for capitalist because the song seems to be about money, mainly. it was sorta electric style music, which has been getting bigger in the australian music scene but has never been my style. his song "domming the doctor" appeals to me exclusively because it has a funny name but i did not enjoy listening to it. i do Not like edm . i dont even know if this counts as edm but i just dont like ectric music in general. guess its just not for me

id probably highly recommend colours by ANNAKYE, that one was a really fun listen. feedtime was very interesting and i wanna ride was a fun listen just because it confused me ?? cause i kept thinking it was building up to something but it never did. ciggie witch seems like good music to fall asleep to, and malcura sounds like the kind of music that movies have convinced me is always playing in the background in mexico. definitely enjoyed the get lucky cover though. our carlson? didnt enjoy too much honestly
