thinking about arthur who has crazy quick reflexes and is a relatively light sleeper who woke up to the sound of someone in his room and saw merlin crouched down messing with his keys before softly asking “whatre you doing?…before breakfast?”

#like in that scene in s2 when merlin was calling out arthurs name from under his bed #and he jumped up (thinking merlin was long gone) grabbed his sword and postured for a fight #or that one in idk which season when merlin was sneaking in his room and he woke up and grabbed his sword when merlin bumped a chair #and then merlin brought the canopy/curtains around his bed down on him #vs waking up to see melin splayed over him and staring for a beat #before flinching back #(he was definitely having some thoughts and/or dreams but thats neither here nor there)#idk thinking about arthur who trusts merlin implicitly and allows himself to lower his guard around him #his guard which he keeps up even in his sleep #GOD imagining them in an established relationship and merlin for once has /so/ much trouble waking arthur up #like before it was sorta bad but arthur was always in that half awake state #but now that theyre together….arthur wont even groan when merlin starts poking his ribs #arthur finally feeling so safe and protected that he allows his guard to drop in his sleep #and its the first time hes ever felt truly refreshed in the morning #so now merlin has infinitely more trouble waking him up but when hes up hes UP and ready to go #bbc merlin #merlin emrys #arthur pendragon #merthur #arthur bby they could never make me hate you #hes just a girl desperately craving love and protection #merlin isnt even offering it #hes shoving it into arthurs arms with insults flying off the tongue #theyre so disgusting #(affectionate)#<3 #headcanon #head canon #hc

I was thinking about "real head" Dante yesterday and about the fact that we don't know basically anything about them...

When I first started Limbus I thought it was odd to keep Dante's gender hidden. Look at him! He's obviously a guy right? 🤔

But actually PM is really respectful in how they draw their female characters. In their uniforms especially they don't show off their "feminine curves" nearly at all. Even beautiful Rodion isn't showing anything off and Outis looks the same as the men if you hide her face.

So yeah, I reconsidered!! Dante could totally turn out to be a woman if they wanted!!! Here's a self indulgent fem presenting Dante design!

Maybe the problem with Christian fiction is that it's non-denominational. People are just "Christian", with no effort put into showing what practicing that religion looks like for them specifically. No indication that there are other Christians who could have different beliefs. No wrestling with differing ideas and the struggle of how one should live out their Christian faith. And that makes it unrealistic and unrelatable.

#me reading any christian historical fiction set in england: why are none of these gentry anglican??#they ARE all anglican and if they are not it is extremely plot and character relevant you can't just have them using evangelical buzzwords #but i'm also thinking of this because i started another charlotte yonge book #that is by far my favorite of the things of hers that i've read #because it has characters who have different upbringings and religious opinions #instead of just 'here's a bunch of high church anglicans judging people who don't live up to their victorian standard'#you have the very high church anglican rector whose wife is worldly but still a very good person #the girl raised in a very strict protestant family who is more scrupulous than the anglicans but is still recognized as a good person #you have people who are trying to work out the nuances of different issues #and that makes it so much more realistic and so much easier to integrate into the story #(the politics though are hilarious)#(most of the classics that survive are the ones that were 'ahead of their time' in politics)#(so it's equally fascinating and refreshing and a bit infuriating to see one that is very very of its time with regards to women's rights)#('why did this woman get up at the meeting and explain her very good ideas for rebuilding after the fire? she should have had a man do it')#(meanwhile i'm just screaming 'why on earth SHOULDN'T she???')#(it's almost enough to make a feminist of me)

Thank you all for being so patient with me, I know it was a long hiatus.

My health was struggling, my arm was (is) hurting, and I decided it wasn't worth it. I'd rather be slow!

So thank you for giving me that grace, and I hope you'll be there with me for the rest of the series.

#like straight up. it's not worth it. idc how many people get mad at me #i would rather work fuckin. anything else than maintain this impossible schedule and keep hurting myself #if thats what it takes to do comics full time. then i can't do comics full time. simple as that!#i hope that for my next work i can have a healthier schedule and still make this work as my job #but if not. I'm never going back #i can't do it. 3 more years at this pace will take my ability to draw #anyways. its really good!!!#like genuinely i can feel a marked improvement in my skills #which is WILD!!! im fully expecting the show to go the way of the movies. it doesnt help Sea of Monsters is almost unanimously the least favorite book of the first series. People frequently forget it even exists or what happens in it, especially more casual fans.

Heck, just look at how little fanfare the second season has gotten so far as compared to the build up to s1. I wouldn't be surprised if s2 totally flops. It would be a little funny.

Percy's gonna be TOWERING over Luke by TLO #i think the main trio is all like almost 16 already? and we're only on s2. its gonna be rough. they didnt think about it. they didnt plan.#also with how theyve been messing with plot and characterization theyre VERY quickly going to start running into hurdles #because they dont seem to understand the more you change earlier on. the less the later stuff will work without also needing change #because. it's dependent on what comes before. so we will very quickly be requiring either MASSIVE canon divergence or a lot of retcon #and retcon in the show is going to be VERY OBVIOUS #though i stand by itll be so funny if they solve too much too quickly in s2 just like the movies and it just ends on #''wait. crap. what are we going to do for s3 now. we solved too much too early. they have nothing to do''

all I knew going in was that the movie was called "Godzilla Minus One" and I was like "haha you mean there's no Godzilla in this? less than one Godzilla?" wrong, there was indeed a Godzilla. 11/10 movie

the duality of the red white and royal blue facebook group is so funny. on one hand it's a bunch of classic fangirls obsessed with gay relationships and on the other it's a bunch of actual middle aged gay men who just loved the movie because they're seeing themselves in a romcom for the first time. and they're just interacting and nerding out together over it. also because it was the number one movie on amazon in the world, the language barriers being broken to talk about it are not insignificant.

I started a sketch when I watched the first episode of his minecraft series and decided to finish it. I love the cherry biome, and his house and little bridge is really cute, so I figured it was a good excuse to practice backgrounds and also having people in scenes.
