#YES YES YES#like i already LOVED this part the fact he used it and was angry enough to do so while knowing exactly what it feels like was already so#good. reading a discussion about it by one of the writers makes it even better#one thing i love about callum as a hero is that the 'if i kill them/do this to them then ill be the same as them!' doesnt apply to him#if its warranted in the moment and done to protect those he loves most/himself. then hell fuckin do it. even when it comes to dark magic#hell do everything he can to avoid it but still will if needed#and also sometimes he does stuff cuz hes just so pissed off and done. good for him. i love heros who have a genuinely good amazing heart#and morally good and love to be goofy but also arent afraid to get dirty and mean if its needed in a fight#or if theyre insanely defensive of those they hold most near and dear. which is 100% callum#i know i may be saying stuff wrong about him. im not a creator for the show. but i have been watching it since 2019 and the only fictional#character in any media who i adore more than him at this point is rayla. so.#also its late. and adhd brain go brrrr. so. excuse the rambling#((also i have to say idk if yall do it intentionally but i SWEAR that lad has adhd he has SO MANY symptoms. its like looking in a damn#mirrors sometimes cuz like 'haha i do that.' had an itch in the back of my brain as to why something stuck out about him for years that#felt like 🤝 then i realized in the last like year or 2 that he has a lot of adhd s/s. especially in arc2. and like recognizes like and all#that. i dont care if its confirmed its just stuck out to me for a while and multiple others in the fandom with it agree. so. idk. dont mind#me im just rambling))#anyway cool scene i LOVED this moment. especially how when claudia tried to electrocute him and he deflected it then looked at her for a#second like 'oh REALLY?' and then immediately did this spell. knowing full well the agony is causes. and hearing the screams of agony from#rayla too. the love of his life. with that driving him up the wall to become feral#yeah. was shocked by this but it also slaps so severely. thank you for your service
Honestly one of the coolest moments in the season was the Claudia vs Callum mage fight. It was quick and instense and showed how far Callum has come, how he matched Claudia spell for spell, and that he wasnt afraid to be ruthless, using the same freezing water/blood spell used to torture him and rayla back in s5

III wanna talk about Toritsuka for a second, because I hate him so much but I love how he's written
I'm trying to get myself to watch the second season, from what I've heard he gets better then, but I'm too addicted to the voice acting in season 1 the sub puts me off. But in said first season Toritsuka is actually a horrid piece of crap. I say that with my whole chest. He's weird, he's creepy, goes to stupid lengths to touch a woman but never really.. talk with one. But I don't ever want to turn the show off when he's on-screen like other characters I really dislike.
But no other character tries to reason his actions, they all see him as a creep and treat him as such when he's BEING a creep, and honestly, it's one of the most realistic high school examples without being too on the nose. He's someone we've all met before and typically has multiple people backing him up but in the show he's a character that doesn't have that.
His personal reasoning is never considered by anyone (he's likely told it to other people, especially with how open he is about him being a medium) and isn't treated like a defense for him. He's treated like he's weird because he is weird, but imo isn't totally outcasted. He's handled like a teenager who didn't grow up learning to respect other people and knowing he learns from that and grows to be a better person just prevents me from being repulsed by him
Tldr Toritsuka is treated and handled like a gross teenager and I kind of respect him for that.
#toritsuka reita#rant#rambles#saiki k#the disastrous life of saiki k.#tdlosk#god i love this show#its genuinely so near and dear to my heart#ive watched it a million times atp and i cant tell if thats a stretch or not

It's kinda funny because while SVSSS is certainly not for everyone, in the grand scheme of things, it's not really problematic. Especially if you consider the satirical nature of it, and don't just take things at face value. Erha is absolutely problematic in certain aspects (those aspects being Taxian-Jun), but I don't think works should be condemned just because they're "problematic". Sometimes the POINT is that they're problematic, because life isn't always fun and 100% morally correct all the time. So long as the author isn't genuinely endorsing things like SA (which, obviously, MXTX, Meatbun, etc., do not actually endorse SA, and it's even condemned within those works, even if certain characters do...engage in it, for lack of a better term), then the inclusion of them isn't "problematic". Again, no hate to anyone who chooses not to read works like these, to each their own, but I've often seen people condemn readers of these works (even of danmei as a genre) and just...don't do that. That wasn't exactly the tone of the message you screenshot, but I still think it's kind of ridiculous to throw this at you for simply creating content for something that they, personally, don't like.
YES OMG THANKYOU. You have perfectly explained this and I definitely agree with you.
I also acknowledge erha especially is a difficult book to get into due to its problematic nature. I also dont want to freely recommend it without warning them and telling ppl to look up the trigger warnings.
For SVSSS it’s a parody of the genre. It was intended to be what it is. It will forever be my favorite book series of all time. It’s not at all perfect but it’s near and dear to my heart hehe 🤗 people can love imperfect or problematic books without it reflecting on their morals. Just like how people can love a problematic and downright cancel-able villain without condoning their actions. Well written villains are always beloved by many, not because of their actions but because they are interesting characters.

Cheek to Cheek
Summary: After a rough day, Alastor decides to take your happiness into his own hands, or moves to be precise!
Warnings: Fluff!! WIP!!!
Request: Yes/No
Songfic!!!: ♬♬♬
At this point, you were boring a line into the floor from how much your heels clicked against the tile flooring, only going quiet every few seconds you walked over your fuzzy white and purple rug. "She had the audacity to point that smug ass angelic weapon into my face while she was at it. Claiming I want to make trouble when all I've done for the hotel is support her girlfriend with everything I have?! Doesn't she realize that if I wasn't trying I would be out hopping rooftops, shoplifting, and running these streets lawless like how I was seven months ago?!" The soft hum from Alastor spurred you on to continue as you turned around again, this time stopping because you felt done, chest rising and falling while you stood relaxed. "Sounds to me like you were rather dreadful." That caught you off guard, "What..?"
The sudden flick of the radio dial, the click so loud it made you jump as the music started to play. Alastor's shadow smiled mischievously from the ceiling for its choice, as he stood he walked over to you with his eyes closed and smile ever present before he took hold of one of your hands and pulled you near.
'Heaven.. I'm in heaven... And my heart beats so– that I can hardly speak..
And I've seem to find the happiness I seek.. When we're out together, dancin' cheek to cheek.'
To your surprise, the steps were slow, merely the both of you slowly turning to the music and swaying with one another to the beat. His hand gently held yours, eyes now opened to stare intently down at you as he spoke, "My Dear, if I had ever met you while you were behaving in such a manner I promise you we would not have gotten off on the proper foot." His smile turned soft as he spun you and pulled you back into him, your back to his chest while he held your waist merely for a moment but long enough for his touch to be burned into your mind.
'I'm in Heaven, and the cares I had through the week, seems to vanish like a gamblers lucky streak.. When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek.
Oh I'd love to climb to mountains, reach the highest peak. But it doesnt thrill me half as much as dancin' cheek to cheek.
Oh I'd love to go out fishing, in a river or a creek, but I enjoy it half as much as dancin cheek to cheek.'
"Now Darlin' dance with me~ I want my arms around you, these chaaarms about you will carry me throoough, is heaven!~" He sang out, making you laugh a tad as he truly put in effort as he spun you out again, posing dramatically on one knee while pointing towards you. He wanted you to continue the second part, which since it was only the two of you, you obliged to. "Take it away doll, sing it!"
"Heavenn, I'm in heaven!~ And my heart beats so, that I can hardly speak~~
And I seem to find the happiness I seek, when we're out together dancing Cheek to cheek!!~"
He laughed along with you when you finished, gently pinching your cheek while leaning back down to your level as he did. "See that's the one right there," He mused with enthusiasm, quickly capturing your lips for a mere moment before pulling back with a wide grin on his face at you own genuine smile of disbelief, "That little one right there most definitely is my favorite, please wear it more often dear. A dance will always bring out a smile, never hesitate to seek me out if ever you are in need of one again, my darlin'. Til we meet again." And with that he was gone in the flash of his shadow, slithering away under your doorway.
What just happened?

i haven’t played p5/r in a while so forgive me that this entire thing is mostly off dome.
what i mean when i say “ryuji is the heart of the phantom thieves” is that i do genuinely believe that he is the glue that holds them together. without him, the group inarguably loses its charm, and would simply not function without him there. he’s outspoken, protective, and might be the only one who i feel has a genuine love toward every member of the group.
i need to replay to do a whole thinkpiece, but for now i do want to share the ryuji moments i remember the most, and why they are part of the concrete evidence that shows ryuji is the most important piece of the phantom thieves.
first of all:
such a casual dialogue that is amplified by a thousand simply because of ryuji’s unadulterated love for his friend… i am moved to tears by this interaction. i love him very much, and he is near and dear to the deepest parts of my heart.
secondly:
i admit im not in the know about a lot of persona fandom stuff, but i personally don’t see a lot of people talk about this? ignore joker on the right this ain’t about him. this is, i think, the first of many instances in which u notice how quickly ryuji jumps to defend his friends, namely his female friends, and it’s a huge part of him that draws me to his character.
since it’s atlus, it’s not hard to miss that ryuji is definitely victim to their “perverted male character” trope, but for me, the moments where ryuji is having genuine thought put behind his character, are the moments when he so intensely - and is usually the first to - defend the other phantom thieves.
another example:
the phantom thieves are each others biggest support system, as they’re a team, but ryuji is definitely the one we see show that off the most. i will not be going into details as this is all off the top of my head, but trust me i am thinking about his confidant and backstory as i write all of this out.
more:
this has always been on my mind as well, because not a day goes by where i don’t think about how quickly ryuji reassures his friends, since they r the most important people to him in his life.
more and more:
a less serious one, but i do genuinely enjoy the thought of ryuji just bragging about his friends because of how cool he thinks they are. when i say ryuji is the most obvious about how much he loves them, i am deathly serious. that is his family.
was excited to include this as well, as it goes to show even people ryuji has only known for a month are still worth going to war for. ryuji holds such an affection for his friends that it’s like i don’t even have to say more. he is literally speaking for himself here. i will never understand how anyone could dislike someone so passionate for the happiness of their own friends?
lastly:
i am personally not a huge fan of the negative dynamic atlus likes to portray between ryuji and morgana a lot of the time, so this is why this frenzy(?) is one of my favorites in p5d. morgana is the character ryuji fights with the most, and yet when morgana is feeling dejected, ryuji is there to pick him back up. obviously i know this is how the dance works and whatnot, but u cannot lie and tell me ryuji making him happy again didn’t make u almost cry a bit… it’s okay, i did too…
conclusion:
this ryuji shit gets serious, be prepared to die behind it.
#persona 5#persona 5 royal#ryuji sakamoto#can u tell i love ryuji#he is a mamas boy of course he respects women

do you have any female Suguru Geto dating headcanons?
Fem.geto relationship headcanons
A/n:credit to avela emma on pinterest for the art. I can't think of a good name for fem geto (I thought about Sakura, but I'm not 100% sure let me know what you think)
Just a note, when you request stuff for fem. Geto, I'd like it if you could specify if it's before or after the toji fight since he acts very different, and so I know if I include nanako and mimiko. I'll do before the toji fight for this since I like that better
Geto is genuinely really glad to have you, in the thankless and horrible world of jujutsu sorcerery (plus having to deal with gojo) its really nice to have someone she can rely on and that she knows will stick by her trough everything.
She loves studying and training with you, whether it be rereading something for a test or summoning curses to fight you she just enjoys these moments, especially because you're there with her (she likes training with you more than gojo because you're not as strong as him and don't rub your victory in her face)
Relaxing dates are definitely her thing, walking in the park picking flowers or just drinking tea at a quiet cafe with you she loves just existing with you in comfortable silence.
She'd love it if you could help her do her morning routine. Her hair especially takes a lot of time to do so she'd be really grateful if you want to help her, she'll help you with whatever you need to do to get prepared too of course.
Her curses are always there to protect you whenever she's not there. She knows you can defend yourself, but she just feels safer if her curses are near you not only to protect you but also just for fun stuff for example she lets you ride on rainbow dragon If you ask (I'm just imagining the spirited away scene that I have in my pinned post with chihiro riding on haku's dragon form.......I really love studio ghibli movies ok?)
Gojo is your third wheel in everything. He constantly shows up uninvited to your dates (shoko sometimes hangs around too) and always pesters geto to tell him how the date went whenever he wasn't there, which is in contrast to how he acted at the start of your relationship cause he was very suspicious of you and threatened to kill you if you broke her heart.
"Hey y/n,geto, where are you going?"
"We were about to go on a date around the city, why?"
"Really? Can I come?"
"No,It's a date, not a hangout"
"Come on, please? It's so boring around here without you"
"Just ask shoko to hang out or something"
"Pffft. Fiiiiine, you better tell me what you did later though"
".....I'm so sorry for him dear"
"It's alright"

Its your wedding day
Warnings‼️ none
Your wedding day is finally here. You’re standing at the entrance to the beautiful church, taking a deep breath before beginning the long walk down the aisle.
You hold your father’s arm firmly as you make your way down the aisle, each step bringing you closer to the love of your life. You can feel your heart racing, nervousness and excitement coursing through your veins. The church is filled with the people dearest to you, their warm smiles and encouraging looks giving you the strength to keep walking forward.
You spot Niko near the altar, his eyes locked on yours. You see the tears glimmering in his eyes, mirroring your own emotions. His expression is full of love, and he looks as if he might cry at any moment, overwhelmed with joy and anticipation.
As you reach the end of the aisle, you hesitate for a moment, taking in the sight of Niko standing there, the man you’re about to promise your life to. The love in his eyes is undeniable, and the tears streaming down his face speak louder than words ever could.
Your father gently releases your arm, placing your hand in Niko’s. His touch is warm and reassuring, and you feel a wave of comfort wash over you. Niko takes your hand in both of his, holding it gently as he smiles at you through his tears.
Niko turns to your father, his voice slightly hoarse but filled with gratitude. He smiles broadly at your dad, eyes sparkling with appreciation. “Thank you,” he mumbles, his grip on your hand tightening slightly. It’s clear he’s overwhelmed, filled with emotions that words can’t fully express.
As he turns back to you, his expression softens even more. The tears stream freely down his face now, but he doesn’t seem to care. All that matters to him in this moment is you, the person he loves more than anything in the world.
Harry Pinero stands in front of the gathered guests, a wide smile on his face. He clears his throat and begins to speak, his voice booming throughout the church. “Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends, we’re here today to witness a truly special union.” He pauses, looking at you and then at Niko, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Harry continues, his words filled with warmth and genuine happiness. “We’re here because two amazing people have found each other, and today they’re going to embark on a journey of love and companionship. To have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do them part, they will now pledge their love and commitment to one another.”
“Now it’s time for the vows,” he says with a smile. “Niko, you may go first.”
Niko takes a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before speaking. He looks at you with a serious yet loving expression. “Y/N,” he begins, his voice steady despite the emotional turmoil he’s experiencing. “From the moment I met you, I knew you were different. You came into my life like a whirlwind, and before I even knew it, I was hopelessly in love with you.”
He squeezes your hand, a tender smile on his face as he continues. “Through the years we’ve spent together, you’ve become my best friend, my biggest supporter, and my reason for waking up each morning. You’ve filled my life with so much happiness, and I never want to imagine a life without you in it.”
He blinks back tears, his voice cracking slightly as emotions rise within him. “I promise to be your shoulder to cry on when times are tough, your biggest cheerleader when you’re on top, your advisor when you need guidance, and your unwavering source of love and support, always.”
He takes a deep breath, steadying himself before continuing. “I vow to love you unconditionally, to put your needs before mine, and to cherish every moment we spend together. Whether we’re celebrating victories, facing challenges, or just enjoying the simple things in life, I promise to be right by your side, loving you fiercely and unapologetically.”
You start to cry and laugh at the same time, the feelings of happiness too much for you.
Niko smiles at your reaction, tears and laughter both visible on your face. It’s a beautiful sight—a testament to the overwhelming joy and emotion coursing through your body right now. He squeezes your hand gently once more, offering silent reassurance that everything is perfect.
Harry smiles warmly at the two of you, clearly moved by the deep love and connection he sees between you. He waits a moment, letting the emotions settle before continuing with the ceremony.
Harry turns to you, a smile still on his face. “Now it’s your turn, Y/N. Share your vows with Niko.”
You try to compose yourself, taking a deep breath as you collect your thoughts. You look at Niko, your heart overflowing with love and gratitude for this man in front of you. “Niko,” you begin, your voice trembling slightly. “When I first met you, I had no idea how intertwined our lives were destined to be.”
You pause, gathering more courage as you continue. “You’ve been my rock, my partner, my laughter in the darkest of times. You’ve seen me at my best and at my worst, and you’ve accepted me unconditionally, no matter what. You’ve brought light and love into my life in ways I never thought possible.”
You smile through your tears, your love for Niko pouring out with each word. “I promise to be the same for you. I promise to listen, support, and encourage you in all you do. I promise to stand by your side through the good times and the bad, to love you with every fiber of my being, and to share all the adventures—big and small—that life throws our way.”
You squeeze Niko’s hand, a silent promise in your gesture. “I vow to be your friend, your confidante, and your biggest advocate. I vow to make you laugh, to dry your tears, and to be the source of comfort and love in your life. I vow to love you forever and to build a life with you that’s filled with happiness, and maybe a couple of arguments along the way,” you joke, earning a laugh from the guests.
You pause, the emotion in your voice evident as you finish. “With all my heart, I love you, Niko. From this day forward, I promise to cherish and adore you, to love and honor you for the rest of my days.”
Tears stream down Niko’s face as he listens to your every word. Your vows have completely overwhelmed him, his heart bursting with love and gratitude for you. He squeezes your hand, unable to speak, but his eyes say everything his lips can’t.
Harry stands to the side, observing the two of you with a mixture of joy and emotion. The love and commitment between you are palpable, and he can feel the power of your words as they echo through the church. He speaks up once more, breaking the silence as the two of you continue staring into each other’s eyes.
He turns to Niko, his gaze steady as he smiles.
“Niko, do you take Y/N to be your wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?”
Niko’s response comes immediately, his voice shaking with emotion. “I do.” He squeezes your hand, his grip firm and reassuring.
As Niko utters the words “I do,” your tears spill over. You feel a wave of overwhelming emotions wash over you—joy, love, gratitude, relief, and so much more. Seeing the man you adore commit himself to you, it’s like everything you’ve ever wanted is right in front of you.
Niko’s eyes are fixed on you, filled with love and adoration. His own tears are still streaming down his face, but he can’t help but smile through them. He lifts your hand to his lips, kissing it softly as if to seal the words “I do.”
Harry smiles at Niko’s gesture, touched by the display of affection. “Y/N,” he says, turning to you next. “Do you take Niko to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?”
“I do.”
As you speak the words “I do,” Niko’s heart skips a beat. He smiles even wider, his eyes sparkling with joy and relief. He squeezes your hand, his grip firm as if to reassure you that he’s not going anywhere. Harry smiles at both of you, clearly touched by the love that exudes from your presence together.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
As Harry utters those words, Niko doesn’t hesitate for a second. He cups your face in his hands, his touch gentle yet urgent. He pulls you close, his gaze locked onto yours, and he kisses you deeply, pouring all his love and devotion into that single gesture.
The guests break into applause as they witness the passion and love in your kiss. You feel like you’re floating on air, completely lost in the moment as Niko’s lips meet yours. The world around you seems to fade away, leaving only the two of you and the overwhelming love that connects you.
“Please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Omilana.”
Harry’s announcement rings out through the church, the cheers and applause growing louder.
The words “Mr. and Mrs. Omilana” seem to hold so much weight in this moment, like the beginning of a whole new chapter in your lives together.
Niko wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you closer as you both take in the sight of all the people gathered in celebration of your love.
A wide smile spreads across his face, his heart bursting with happiness and love for you and your new life together.
“I love you, Niko.”
Niko looks at you, the love he feels for you shining brightly in his eyes. He takes your hand in his, bringing it up to his lips and planting a soft kiss on it before responding. “I love you more, Y/N. Always and forever.”

Is anyone else just entirely enraged by how blatantly sexist 99% of anime is? Like, some of the best stories I've ever come across, the most beautiful visuals I've ever seen in storytelling, the most brilliant examples of raw creativity I've ever encountered, have come from anime. There are some anime that will forever be near and dear to my heart, because they are just so well made and impactful as stories and works of art.
But darn near every anime is RIDDLED with a dozen different sexist tropes and constant examples of blatant sexism. The women are generally significantly less competent and significantly more annoying than the men. Every female character who isn't an old woman is sexualized, even minors are sexualized, just in a "cutesy" way. You got 14yo girls with tits large enough to cause serious medical problems. There's regular fanservice (which unsurprisingly rarely services hetero women), panty shots, butt shots, girls practically thrusting their boobs into people's face. Sexual assault is regularly played for laughs and treated as perfectly acceptable behavior as long as the victim gets to smack her assailant and look annoyed afterwards, which has the added bonus of diminishing the impact of sexual violence by equating its severity with that of physical violence. Access to women's bodies is used to motivate male characters, and it's treated as though it is perfectly healthy for a man to pursue such access in the absence of genuine interest on the woman's part, or for a woman to be comfortable objectifying herself and using access to her body as currency. Sometimes women are portrayed as using access to their bodies to "coerce" men, as though women's bodies are something that men need, and women wanting something from men first in order to access them is a form of bullying or humiliation akin to making a starving person dance for their supper. I could go on. There are probably a lot of other things I missed because this is just an off the cuff rant and not meant to be comprehensive.
Point is, I hate this shit. I hate how just being aware of and caring about the issue of misogyny renders it damn near impossible to enjoy otherwise enjoyable things, and I hate that otherwise enjoyable things are sexist in the first place. And you never hear anybody talk about this, either, which is just the rage-cherry on top. Whenever an anime is being critiqued or reviewed or just generally discussed, all but the most egregiously sexist series being talked about by the most militantly liberal people will be spared even a passing, casual mention of how sexist they are. A character who seems vaguely racist or homophobic? Of course people will mention that (as they should). But constant sexism baked into the very bones of the series? Not worth bringing up, apparently.

The concept of a demon falling in love with a human was already considered unconventional, but the notion of two demons harboring affections for the same human was utterly unheard of.
Fate seemed to have a twisted sense of humor as Akaza realized that his beloved, the one who held a special place in his heart, was none other than Douma's beloved as well… It was a situation that couldn't be worse... or could it?
Over the course of several visits, Akaza began to sense that something was amiss with you. Despite your insistence that everything was fine, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that gnawed at him.
On this particular evening, his concern reached its peak, compelling Akaza to pay you a visit and ascertain your well-being. As he approached your humble abode, his ears were met with the most grating and irritating sound in the entire world.
"Oh, Akaza-dono!" Douma's voice rang out cheerfully, accompanied by an enthusiastic wave of his hand. "I see you've come to check on our beloved Y/N. It appears I'm not the only one who was worried about her."
Akaza remained silent, his frustration evident as he emitted a disgruntled 'tsk' sound. Without uttering a single word, he briskly walked towards your dwelling, with Douma following closely behind, seemingly unfazed by Akaza's discontent.
The atmosphere between them was charged, a blend of conflicting emotions and unspoken tension. Akaza's presence loomed with an air of possessiveness, while Douma's demeanor exuded an almost mischievous delight. It was a precarious situation, teetering on the edge of uncertainty.
Standing by your front door, Akaza's gaze fixated on the surroundings, searching for any signs of something that might have made you sad. The worry etched on his face mirrored the genuine care he held for you, despite the complexity of their intertwined affections.
Douma, ever observant, watched with an air of curiosity. His playful nature seemingly balanced on a knife's edge, ready to revel in the unfolding drama or diffuse the mounting tension with a well-timed jest.
As you lay on your bed, your limbs felt heavy and unresponsive, weighed down by the intense fever that wracked your body. Despite the insistent knocking at the door, you remained rooted to your spot, unable to summon the strength to rise and answer it. The sound of your own rasping breath filled the room, punctuated only by the rhythmic tapping of knuckles against wood. "It's... It's open!" You managed to raise your voice.
Akaza took the lead, stepping inside the house. The sight of you in bed at this hour was uncommon, stirring a sense of concern within him.
Douma glanced back, his expression filled with worry. "Oh, my dear lotus! Are you feeling unwell? Are you sick?"
You tried to sit up and groaned as the room spun around you. "I'm not feeling well...."
"I told you something is wrong," Akaza frowned, making his way to your bedside and taking a seat. His hand gently rested on your warm forehead. "You have a fever, my love."
"That's no good," Douma sighed, mirroring Akaza's actions as his hand cupped your flushed and heated cheek. "We need to find a way to help. I could call upon my followers; surely someone among them knows what to do."
Akaza growled softly, casting a stern glance at Douma. "No stranger will come near her. We can take care of her ourselves."
Douma couldn't help but giggle, a soft purr infused in his tone. "Oh, we?! So you're finally acknowledging me in this little love triangle!"
The exchange between Akaza and Douma brimmed with a blend of concern, frustration, and a hint of playful banter. Their shared affection for you compelled them to find a solution to ease your discomfort, yet their different approaches and underlying dynamics created a tension that was both palpable and intriguing.
You pushed the hands of both Douma and Akaza off your face, feeling suffocated and overheated as you rolled to your back. Your chest heaved as you gasped for air, your pulse racing with a dizzying intensity. The heat enveloped you like a smothering blanket, causing beads of sweat to form on your forehead and trickle down your temples. You whispered, barely audible, "It's hard to breathe, I feel so hot." The world around you spun in a dizzying frenzy, as though you were caught in the eye of a whirlpool.
"Stay down, my love," Akaza sighed, his voice filled with exasperation, as he made his way to one of the windows. With a gentle push, he opened it slightly, allowing a breath of fresh air to enter the room.
Meanwhile, Douma, ever unpredictable, took hold of one of the towels you owned and casually departed from the house. Akaza couldn't help but feel a surge of relief, grateful for a temporary respite from the presence of the bothersome demon.
In that moment, Akaza's spirits lifted, knowing that he wouldn't have to deal with Douma's antics for a while. It brought a sense of contentment, however fleeting it may be, as he embraced the quietude that settled upon the space they shared.
You closed your eyes, endeavoring to breathe calmly as a severe headache began to form, but the pain proved too intense. A moment later, tears began to stream down your cheeks as you tried to stifle the sobs that threatened to escape your lips. Your attempts to control your breathing faltered, and you began to hyperventilate, gasping for air in short, ragged breaths. "I wanna die, Akaza.... Kill me, end my suffering, please!"
He positioned himself on the bed, pulling you gently towards him, allowing your back to rest against his sturdy chest. This arrangement provided a comfortable halfway point between sitting and lying down, ensuring your ease as he held you close. "Don't utter such foolish words," Akaza murmured in a soft growl, his voice laced with concern, as he tenderly wiped away your tears. "We will take care of you, and you will begin to feel better."
Just as the atmosphere began to settle, Douma's cheerful voice broke the silence, announcing his return. He entered the room with a sense of joy, holding a damp towel in his hand. With a deliberate motion, he approached you and placed the towel gently on your forehead, his finger making contact with the fabric.
In an instant, the moisture within the towel froze, transforming it into a soothing cold compress. The icy sensation promised relief, especially for your feverish state.
"This, my dear lotus, should aid in reducing your fever," Douma remarked, a hint of affection underlying his words.
You let out a deep groan, your body tense with anticipation, as Douma pressed the cool cloth to your forehead. The sensation was like a wave of relief washing over you, easing the ache in your head. The coldness of the towel was like a soothing balm, calming your racing thoughts and slowing your heartbeat. You closed your eyes and let out a contented sigh, grateful for Douma's quick thinking and gentle touch. "Thank you, my lord," you told him, resting comfortably against Akaza's broad, muscular chest. "It feels better. It is better."
With a simple nod, Douma placed his chilled, ice-like hands on your cheeks. "Once we eliminate this wretched fever, you'll feel better truly," he remarked, his tone filled with determination.
Meanwhile, Akaza tenderly stroked your head, his touch radiating reassurance. "We will take care of you," he whispered softly. "Soon, you'll be back to your vibrant self."
"I went to the lake a few days ago and decided to take a bath in it," you explained, your teeth chattering. "It was so cold, but I just couldn't resist the temptation. And now I think it's the reason why I caught a cold."
Akaza's voice carried a growl of concern as he confronted you, his words dripping with disbelief. "Are you out of your mind? We warned you about bathing in the river. It's still far too cold for that."
Beside him, Douma nodded in agreement, his expression mirroring Akaza's worry. "Indeed, my dear lotus," he chimed in. "He's absolutely right. You don't possess the same resilience as we do. You should exercise caution and take better care of your body."
Your heart beated fast in your chest as you began to speak. "I must apologize to both of you," you said, your voice trembling slightly. "My recklessness has caused harm, and for that, I am truly sorry. I'm sorry for not listening to neither of you."
Akaza's voice resonated with a soothing calmness as he offered his advice. "Don't dwell on it for now. Your priority should be on recovering," he said, keeping his words simple and direct.
Douma nodded in agreement, acknowledging Akaza's wisdom. "Just relax and find solace in rest," he added, his tone filled with care and tenderness for you, his beloved.
After you had finally calmed down, both Akaza and Douma stood watch over you, ensuring your safety until they were certain you had drifted off to sleep. Once satisfied, Akaza carefully placed you back onto the bed, tenderly covering you with a blanket.
Meanwhile, Douma made sure the towel remained cold, a testament to his attention to detail and concern for your well-being. His words, however, held a hint of something darker. "Humans, such fragile creatures," Douma remarked, a suggestion laced within his words. "Perhaps we could alleviate her suffering together, sharing the burden."
Akaza's brow furrowed, a frown etching across his face, his anger slowly simmering beneath the surface. Taking a deep breath to compose himself, he responded in a measured tone, suppressing the surge of emotions threatening to consume him. "We must nourish her," Akaza stated plainly, his voice carrying a sense of determination. Without further ado, he turned and walked away, his actions implying a steadfast commitment to fulfilling your needs and ensuring your well-being.
In this intricate dance of conflicting desires and motivations, their actions revealed a delicate balance between care and the potential for something darker. The complexities of their dynamic unfolded as they grappled with their own internal struggles, their choices and actions pivotal in shaping your shared fate.
The next time you awoke, you found both Akaza and Douma standing near your stove.
"Looks delicious," Douma commented with a mischievous tone, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Such a shame we cannot share it with her. Although, I'm certain it doesn't compare to the nutritional value of female flesh." His words were accompanied by a playful giggle, clearly enjoying the reaction it elicited from Akaza.
Akaza, on the other hand, wore a visibly annoyed expression, his face contorting in response to Douma's jest. However, his irritation quickly transformed into a brief moment of surprise as he noticed your awakening.
"Oh! You're awake!" Douma exclaimed, his tone shifting to one of genuine surprise and perhaps even a touch of delight.
"Boys?" You whispered, propping yourself on your elbow. "What are you doing? What's that smell?"
"That idiot managed to get you something to eat," Akaza remarked in a straightforward manner.
Douma's lips curled into a gentle smile as he glanced at you. "I simply mentioned to one of my followers that someone dear to me was unwell and in need of something delicious," he explained. Without hesitation, he approached your side, removing the towel from your head. "Feeling any better?" He inquired, concern evident in his voice.
You smiled at Douma weakly, nodding your head in gratitude. "I'm feeling much better thanks to you and Akaza's care," you said, your voice soft and grateful. "I cannot thank you both enough for taking care of me."
Akaza approached, a bowl held gently in his hands, and spoke with a voice filled with love and concern. "We love you," he declared, joining the two of you. "And because we care deeply for you, some of us have realized that you need extra care. Here, please eat."
Douma, his expression filled with a mischievous delight, chimed in with a cheerful hum. "I hope you'll enjoy it! And if not, I'll take care of that woman."
"That won't be necessary, Douma," you flashed him a smile while accepting the bowl from Akaza.
The aroma of the stew wafting up to your nose, making your mouth water in anticipation. You reached for the spoon, scooping up a mouthful of the warm, hearty stew and savoring the flavors. "It's delicious, Douma-sama. I've never had a better stew in my life."
With a nod, Douma uttered, "You are welcome, my dear! Only the best for you."
Akaza couldn't help but roll his eyes in response to the facade of false happiness.
You gave Akaza a look. "Hmm?"
"Nothing," he replied softly, a sense of relief evident in his voice. He tenderly pressed a kiss to your temple, his affectionate gesture bringing comfort and reassurance. "I'm just glad you're feeling better. Now, eat. We've also got some medicine for you, but it's important to eat first."
"Thank you," you put the bowl on your lap and reached your hand out to caress Akaza's cheek.
Douma rested his head on your shoulder, his voice filled with a playful tone. "Hey, I deserve some love too! After all, I did help as well."
You delicately traced your fingertips along Douma's sharp jawline, marveling at the smoothness of his skin. "Of course you did, my lord. I owe you my life. Both of you, actually."
He nodded and kissed your fingers gently.
Akaza, nestled against your shoulder, succinctly expressed their sentiments, "We love you deeply and fear losing our beloved human."
"Well, you can always turn me into a demon!" You suggested.
Douma's face lit up with sudden excitement, his head nodding eagerly in agreement.
"No!" Akaza's voice boomed with a deep growl. "You deserve better than this way of life."
"But at least I wouldn't get cold so often... You two don't get sick at all," you remarked, finishing your meal.
In an instant, Douma found himself on the verge of speaking, but before any words could escape his lips, Akaza swiftly decapitated him without hesitation.
"You deserve better than this existence. We love you just the way you are. Being immune to illness is a bonus, but there are many hardships," Akaza explained, his voice filled with conviction.
Douma's head regenerated smoothly, returning him to his complete form. Despite the shocking turn of events, he couldn't help but voice his complaint. "Akaza-dono! That was incredibly rude!" He whined, expressing his discontent with a hint of petulance.
You whimpered as the sticky, warm fluid dripped down on your cheek after the blow aimed to Douma's head, your body recoiling from the sensation. You looked up, locking eyes with Akaza, who seemed unfazed by the chaos he's caused. "What the hell, Akaza?! You didn't have to do that!" You screamed at him, your voice trembling with a mixture of anger and fear.
The pool of blood around Douma seemed to be growing larger by the second, soaking your bed, and you couldn't help but feel sickened by the sight.
"Knowing him, he was about to blurt out something foolish, as usual," Akaza remarked with a cold tone, observing Douma's futile attempts to fix his disheveled hair. "I am perfectly fine," Douma interjected, shaking his head with a playful grin. "No need to fret, my love. I remain as beautiful as ever."
"You messed up my bed..." You grunted with disgust. "I'm going to vomit!" And with that, you ran to the bathroom.
Akaza chuckled at the thought of you wanting to become a demon and rose from his seat to change the sheets.
Douma let out a sigh and joined in, deciding to lend a hand. By the time you returned, a set of fresh sheets awaited you, a silent gesture of their care and consideration.
"Boys. I'm feeling better already. You don't have to stay here. The sun will rise soon."
"You still need to drink the medicine," Akaza remarked.
Douma gave a slight shrug, his gaze filled with mischief. "You're not wrong. We could simply cover the windows and spend the day... in bed," he purred, his voice laced with suggestive undertones.
You found yourself nodding along to Douma's suggestion, despite the wary look in Akaza's eyes. "Okay, let's try it. Akaza, can you please give me the medicine?"
Complying with your request, Akaza swiftly returned, presenting you with a brimming cup of an unidentified liquid.
"It stinks," you groaned in disgust.
"Sometimes, the bitterest medicine is the most effective remedy," Douma murmured softly, his voice carrying a gentle reassurance. "But don't worry, it's nothing you can't handle."
You took a deep breath before tipping the glass back, swallowing the medicine in one gulp. The taste was acrid, and it burned your throat as it went down. You gagged and coughed, feeling like your whole body was on fire. "God, this tastes awful," you groaned, handing the empty glass back to Akaza.
"You did exceptionally well," Douma praised, his gentle touch caressing your back. "You're such a good girl!"
"Will you stay with me, boys?"
"Of course!" Douma nodded in agreement with Akaza's previous words. Without uttering a single sound, he gently nudged Akaza's side, guiding him to discreetly cover the windows.
You watched pink-haired closing to curtains as you climb in the bed and took comfortable position
The demon with rainbow eyes was the first to embrace you, his arms encircling your waist as he pulled you close.
"Don't think you can claim her all for yourself," Akaza growled, his own arms enveloping you protectively.
Douma's expression turned into a frown, yet he managed to offer Akaza a sly smile. "Oh? Worried she'll choose me in the end? Someone seems a bit jealous."
"Boys, please," you whispered, giving them both a few strokes to their cheeks. "Behave."
Akaza whispered softly, drawing you nearer to him. "It's difficult when he's in such proximity," he murmured, his voice laced with a mix of longing and unease. "He's just too close."
"Akaza, darling, you know I appreciate Douma's presence as much as I appreciate yours."
Douma let out a scoff, leaning in to nuzzle against you. Despite the display of affection, his actions seemed to provoke a tense response from Akaza. In an attempt to soothe his companion, Douma gently hummed and proceeded to pat Akaza's head, further exacerbating his tension. "There, there, Akaza-dono."
You giggled, looking at Douma. "You can be so charming when you want."
"I am always charming, my darling," he proclaimed, his voice dripping with self-assuredness. Yet, his confidence was abruptly shattered when Akaza sank his teeth into his hand, causing him to yelp in pain.
"Don't... touch me," the pink-haired demon growled, his teeth clenching even harder.
"Akaza! Apologize to Douma for biting him!" Came your admonishing voice, demanding restitution for the offense committed.
"Yes! Apologize to me!" Douma chimed in, an offended tone lacing his words.
Akaza scoffed, dismissively brushing off the notion. "In your dreams, Douma," he retorted, his disdain palpable in the air.
You gently tapped Akaza's forehead. "Do it, please?"
"Never," Akaza snapped, his voice laced with determination. "I would never trust him. He would gladly devour you, and I refuse to be blind to his feigned emotions."
You shivered and moved closer to Akaza, looking at Douma over your shoulder.
Akaza pressed himself against you, nuzzling affectionately and applying a gentle squeeze.
Douma, expressing annoyance, drew nearer and enveloped you in a hug as well. "Ignore Akaza-dono's remark, I would never consume you. Is your fever resurfacing, my dear?"
"I think it's coming back."
"Allow me to assist you," Douma murmured softly, his icy cold hand gently resting upon your forehead.
In response, a contented hum escaped your lips, prompting a smile to grace Akaza's face. "Well, well. It seems you have some utility, icicle."
Douma's brows furrowed in mock annoyance. "I shall conveniently ignore that remark," he retorted.
"Boys, please, behave... It feels so good, though," you mumbled, snuggling with both Akaza and Douma.
The two demons exchanged glances, silently acknowledging their shared goal of ensuring your swift recovery. For the moment, they chose to remain quiet, allowing you the peaceful rest you needed.
As you shifted to your other side, your embrace found its way to Douma, seeking comfort and solace in his presence. In a surprising display of unity, both demons disregarded their mutual animosity and embraced you, their shared desire to see you regain your strength overriding any personal differences.
In that moment, nestled in their caring arms, they resolved to do whatever it took to expedite your healing. The intensity of their mutual commitment surpassed their inherent disdain for each other, highlighting the depth of their concern and love for you.
Despite the complexities of their relationship, their focus remained unwavering: your well-being. They vowed to provide the support and care you needed, disregarding any animosity or rivalry that might have existed between them.
In the face of adversity, their shared dedication became a powerful force, driving them to put aside their differences and work together for your sake. They understood that healing required unity and cooperation, and they were determined to deliver just that.
With you nestled between them, they offered their combined warmth and comfort, a symbol of their unwavering commitment to your recovery. It was a moment where their shared purpose eclipsed any animosity, and their collective efforts would serve as a testament to their deep affection for you.
As you drifted into a peaceful slumber, enveloped in their embrace, they silently vowed to do everything in their power to ensure your swift return to health. The demons were united by their love for you, and they were willing to set aside their differences to see you restored to full vitality once more.

Can we have a Retsu, Soi Fon, with With Powerful Himbo
I had a blast and a half writing this.
Now! Your Wish Is My Command!
“Oh! Hey Retsu! I was gonna find you myself but Hanataro here screeched and shoved me in here as soon as I walked through the door!” you exclaimed with a smile as you sat on the edge of the bed, ignoring the massive chunk of flesh a hollow had taken out of you while Hanataro was on the verge of tears, trying to stop the bleeding and keep you from making the wound any worse.
“P-please captain Unohana, he’s insane! He tried to go find you himself! Looking like this!” Hanataro cried, tears pricking at his eyes.
He has always been such an empathetic young man.
“That will do Hanataro, please take a rest while I take it from here.” Unohana kindly told the shivering young man who instantly let out a deep sigh of relief before stepping away, allowing the Captain to take over.
“Now then, how did you get yourself looking like this?” the raven haired woman asked with a cold smile usually reserved for her enemies and those who tried to disturbed the bedrest of those who were injured.
Undeterred by this, unlike every other single creature in existence, you beamed at her as you went into detail of your exploits.
Graphic detail in fact.
Poor Hanataro nearly fainted as you spoke.
Eventually, you came to the conclusion of your tale, telling her of how you had to push one of the soul reapers in training out of the way to stop them from getting their head bitten off, and that if it weren’t for your Zanpakuto you would probably be down an arm but that you made sure to deal with it just as she taught you to.
Retsu chided you at first, before congratulating you on a job well done.
That is when she made her slip up.
“That is good, I am glad my little bits and pieces of instruction were able to help you dear.” she told you with a happy smile before realizing she had said that in the company of someone else.
Instantly she whipped her head towards Hanataro, who went ramrod straight and felt as if his soul was about to leave his body from the deadly look Captain Unohana was giving him.
“Now Hanataro, how much of that did you hear?” the captain asked the terrified squad member with a look of murder on her face, as if she was imagining all of the ways she could gut him like a fish if she so wished.
“N-nothing at all! Not a single peep!” Hanataro stuttered out, wishing desperately he was far, far, FAR away from where he was at the moment.
Then, like a switch had been flipped, Captain Unohana’s face returned to its usual, kind smile.
“Good, I just wanted to make sure you didn’t mishear what I was saying to my patient here. Now, I do believe you have taken a long enough break. Don’t you?” Captain Unohana asked her terrified subordinate who shook his head up and down before bolting out of the room.
“You didn’t have to scare the poor boy like that, you know?” you asked Retsu as you let out a yawn and leaned into her.
“I know, but I have a reputation to maintain, and… you are mine. No one else's.” she muttered, her voice taking on a darker tone towards the end.
“I know love, I know.” you whispered, listening to the beat of her heart.
Sui-Feng stomped through the streets in a rage as Omaeda did his best to steer her away from any brash action she may take.
He was doing this at great personal risk to himself, as she WILL eventually notice that the two of them were going in circles.
However, he seriously doubted that would be any time soon considering how absolutely livid she was at the moment.
He had genuinely never seen her so pissed before.
What in the Soul King’s name happened?
It was here that she began to rant.
Something about black cats, rouge cabbage carts and strings that were as soft as silk but as strong as iron and lighter than air.
That last part lit up a lightbulb in Omaeda’s head as he slammed his fist into the palm of his hand and said “Oh! You met my little buddy!”
Near instantly, the captain of the second division and the commander in chief of assaination within the soul society spun on her heel, a maniacal grin on her face.
“Now then Omaeda, what did you just say? That I met your “Little Buddy”? Is that right?” Sui-Feng asked with a scary voice that told her Lieutenant that there will be no arguing or lying to her unless he wished to suffer immense pain.
He offers a silent apology to you before telling his Captain everything she wanted to know under the pain of a violent death which she would most definitely give him if she was irritated enough.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
You walked across the many roof’s, across the many streets, and through the many forests of the soul society as you patrolled your sector, looking for any trouble you could stop either with words or force if needed.
Now, imagine your surprise when you noticed a missile speeding towards you at incredible speeds the second you arrived in a clearing.
In this moment, you made a split second decision.
And that decision was perhaps the single most stupid idea in a long, sad, depressing history of stupid ideas.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The Head Captain liked to think he was a patient man.
At the very least more patient than he was in his younger days.
However, the sight before him right now was pushing that.
It was tea day for Squad 1, and they had an impromptu fireworks show going on.
The Bankai of the captain of squad two, something that was once rather crudely but aptly described as a “Giant Fuck Off Missile” had been let loose alongside another Bankai.
The other Bankai in question was your own.
A massive tree made of silk strings which were as hard of iron you controlled with ease and capable of slicing through everything you so wished.
And now, he was going to have to deal with this.
Why were young people so troublesome?
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
You stood at attention next to Sui-Feng, both of you covered in scrapes, cuts, and bruises alongside both of your clothes being singed.
Across from the both of you, the head captain was sitting at his desk, glaring holes through the both of you.
“Do either of you wish to explain what that mess was about?” the head captain asked with an even voice.
Instantly Sui-Feng pointed her finger at you and exclaimed “This brute manhandled me in the market!”
“You were about to be crushed by a CART OF CABBAGES!!!” you shot back.
“THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU A REASON TO TOSS ME AROUND LIKE A RAG DOLL AND CARRY ME LIKE SOME FAIRY TALE PRINCESS!!!” Sui-Feng retorted.
“A CART OF CABBAGES WERE ABOUT TO CRUSH YOU LIKE A BEE!!! THAT WAS NOT THE SITUATION FOR DELICACY!!!” you hissed back.
Sui-Feng began to ready a retort but was stopped when the head captain shouted.
“SILENCE!!!”
“YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN OF THE SECOND COURTYARD SQUAD!!! YOU ARE NOT SOME PETULANT CHILD WHINING ABOUT HAVING YOUR DRESS TORN!!!” the head captain roared at Sui-Feng before setting his eyes on you.
“AND YOU!!! YOU ARE A SEATED MEMBER OF THE THIRTEEN COURTYARD SQUADS!!! ONE THAT HAS ACHIEVED BANKAI AT THAT!!! YOU MUST CONDUCT YOURSELF AS SUCH!!! NOT AS A GALLIVANTING FOOL WHO RUNS THROUGH LIFE LIKE A BULL IN A CHINA SHOP!!!” the head captain shouted, his indignation at both of your actions cowing both you and Sui-Feng’s irritation at the other.
In response to his outburst, both you and Sui-Feng gazed at the ground, waiting for the Head Captain to dole out his punishments.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Omaeda felt as if his heart was going to give out at any moment from the stress of the situation he was currently in.
Before him, both you and his Captain were sitting on the floor, facing away from one another or as best the two of you could with the Kido that was binding you together at the hands, and both of you were being very obvious at how irritated the two of you were at this.
However, as he saw it, before him was a grenade that had its pin pulled and the only thing keeping it from going off was the fact that nothing had disturbed it.
This was going to be a very, very, VERY long month for all of Squad Two.
Omaeda especially.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Needless to say, you and Sui-Feng really hit it off after the first week of being attached to one another.
Before that… well… let’s just say there were a LOT of… let’s say emotionally charged moments.
More so after the two of you started catching feelings for one another, but in a WILDLY different way.
That being said, Omaeda was a bit concerned to begin with.
Not just because you were his little buddy and Sui-Feng was… Sui-Feng.
But because Sui-Feng was his comrade, his captain and she didn’t have people to look out for her like he did with his family.
But, once Sui-Feng started to research how to court someone officially as a Captain Of The Court Guard Squads, he got the feeling things were gonna be a-okay.
Also, the two of you were terrible when it came to controlling your spiritual pressure and emotions around each other.
Seriously, the two of you need to get a room, preferably far, far, far away from him.

im not fucking around anymore. here's the full "Paul is Care" essay i've been working on:
“Alright. So there's uh, nothing out here, as far as I've seen. But actually, I think there is something out here. I just haven't seen it yet.”
In Petscop, the story is told between the lines. When you feel like you have a grasp on it, a single colour or date throws off everything you’ve built up. That’s why I like to look at Petscop in another way; not as a series of events, but an exploration of a single character: Paul.
Some people like to map everything out in a single timeline; when did Care go missing, when did the family get the game, when did Lina and Mike die. I think that every interpretation of Petscop has its own value, because Petscop means something different to everyone who watches it. But, when I look at Petscop, I don’t just see a series of events wrapped up in the mystery of Care’s disappearance. I see a video game used as a device to explore and understand the connection between the past and the present. I see the ways in which Paul Leskowitz is Carrie Mark.
I know that to some that notion might seem crazy; the broader discussion of Petscop is different to the niche ones held by crazy people in the tags of a Tumblr post . Obviously, this theory is personally significant and I hold it very near and dear to my heart. But, I want to share this theory in a way that makes sense to the general audience of Petscop because I genuinely believe you guys are missing out! So, keep an open mind and enter my Petscop mind-palace…
“...were signs along the way. Um, that I ignored. Because it would have been a completely ridiculous idea to me. Um. But when I found my room, it made, uh, well, I was shocked at first, but it made sense, especially considering where I found the game in the first place, um, that it would be tied, in some way, to me through you. Um. And I'm trying to think, when was the last time I saw any of you at all? It had to have been in like, 1999. I was a kid, I was a small kid. Tiny kid. Um. And after that, just, you know. But, it would make sense in the timeline.” (Petscop 11)
A lot of Petscop theories surround the actual textual proof found in the videos, so that’s where I’ll start. There’s many instances where Paul makes the connection between himself and Care, but one moment continues to stick with me. In Petscop 11, Paul finally enters the house and takes a look around. He’s on the phone with someone, presumably Belle. Paul goes up to the calendars and starts talking about Care, “Yeah, on that topic... I don't remember meeting this girl at all. Um, I don't remember knowing her at any point (…) Um, and I remember you saying that we were, that we, we are, um, exactly the same age.” (Petscop 11). He points out that he and Care share the same birthday, down to the year. We get further confirmation of this in Petscop 14, when Paul’s conversation with Jill that he had on his own birthday is superimposed onto Care’s. The next part though, is what really gets the theory started, “I do agree there's a resemblance. Um. Very strong resemblance between us.” (Petscop 11).
Faces are incredibly important in Petscop. Marvin thought Care and Mike could be rebirthed into Lina because they had similar features, and Care had to be given Mike’s eyebrows specifically to change her room. So, for Paul and Care to have such similar facial features that someone else pointed out the resemblance is significant.
They also happen to share the name “Leskowitz”, which is both Anna and Lina’s last name. We know this because his Reddit account is “p_leskowitz”.
If he’s a Leskowitz, then that explains his complicated feelings towards “the family”. “The family” is a foreboding presence throughout Petscop. Their meddling isn’t outright malicious, but even Paul admits that he’s intimidated by them. And it makes sense, as “the family” (comprised of Anna and Jill) each have a major role in the core mystery of Petscop. Anna is the mother of Care and the wife of Marvin, while Jill is Marvin’s sister and the mother of both Rainer and Mike. To be a Leskowitz, Paul would need to be blood related to Anna or Lina in some way. Paul shows that he has this relation to the family in Petscop 22, when he’s talking to Belle about finding the windmill, “And, I don't th- and you don't have to worry about it, right, 'cause... 'cause you aren't, you aren't family, so you wouldn't... have a room, that's the thing.” (Petscop 22). In this context, Paul is asking Belle whether Jill has contacted her. When he tells her she doesn’t have a room, this is in reference to the Child Library explored in Petscop 3 and 7. This means that in order to be part of the Leskowitz-Mark family (and in our case, related to Care), you have to have a room in the Child Library, something both Paul and Care possess.
Paul being related to the family is also supported by his casual mention of meeting Rainer as a child, “‘Rainer’... I saw him at a birthday party once. All the older kids were down in the basement playing video games, to hide from everyone. He was down there, too. He was older than the rest of them, though.” (Petscop 11), and his confusion of not knowing Care, with the implication that if she was real, he would have met her through the family.
A rarely discussed aspect of Paul’s character is that he can’t tell his left from his right. When he’s doing the disc puzzle in Anna and Marvin’s room is Petscop 11, “Um, we can see what the room looks like in that recording, um, on the uh, right? ... Left? Left? Right ... side.” (Petscop 14) and before he even enters the house, “And, I mean, I still get confused about that. Because, I mean, well, I know it's always the top, but, um, I still have to think. I have to think.” (Petscop 11), we can clearly see that he has trouble with directions. In a similar fashion, Care is described as “dizzy”, most notably in the end credits of Petscop. She is also described as blind by Rainer in Petscop 17, “You were blind. At some point, your movements stopped making sense.” (Petscop 17). In the counsellor’s office, the counsellor says to Paul, “Are you right handed, or left handed? You don't know? Really?” (Petscop 22). I’ll get more into it later, but this sequence is presumably a real conversation that the game is recreating. If this scene is taken from Care’s real childhood, then it confirms that she also had problems with her lefts and rights.
Now, this is the base level of the theory. It’s easy to figure out that Paul is a Leskowitz, he literally calls them “the family”. And while I think the bits about faces and birthdays and directions are significant to this theory, I wanted to get all of the textual evidence out of the way so that I could get into the fun part of this essay: the subtext.
”Some things you can't rewrite.” (Petscop 14)
Petscop is nothing if not a collection of symbols and metaphors. Ask me what Petscop is all about on any given day and there’s a non-zero chance I will start explaining why the car is orange. While it is necessary to analyse Petscop as a real series of events, I think that another approach can be taken; what if we analysed Petscop as a series of events that are happening to Paul specifically? That the game is creating meaning by placing Paul specifically in these snippets of the past. By looking at each moment as “Why did the game make Paul do this?” instead of “What is happening in the game?”, we can see everything through a new lens.
First, I want to discuss colour. Colour plays a huge role in Petscop; almost every character is assigned their own colour. This is most often used to denote who is speaking in text, but it’s also used for other things like the tool. You are probably aware that Care’s colour is yellow, as all of her text is yellow. What you might not know is that Paul’s colour is red. Paul has exactly one instance in all of Petscop where he has coloured text and that is in Petscop 22, when he gives the counsellor his name. The calendars in the house are also colour coded, as the one showing 2017 is red.
One of my favourite moments in all of Petscop uses colour in a way that supports this theory perfectly. When Paul takes Care out of the rebirthing machine, she has been transformed into an Easter egg. A red and yellow striped Easter egg. I will get into this egg later on, but for now, I want to point out how Paul and Care’s colours have been used here. Of course, it’s significant just that they've been put together, but it's more than that. Care’s final form, the egg she has been placed in to keep her safe from all of the trauma she has suffered, that she will spend the rest of the series in, is painted a combination of her and Paul’s colours. In the same sequence, when Paul is playing the Needles Piano for Care B, the “wrong” notes he plays to turn her into the Easter Egg are all red. There’s a joke about eggs and transness in here somewhere.
Right after Care’s rebirth into the egg, Paul places her in the locker with the purple egg and the “new life” letter. If we abide by the established colour theory, this second egg would be Belle’s/Tiara’s egg. By putting them together, alongside the letter, it symbolises Care and Belle’s transfer to Lina’s care; this can also be supported by the ending of Petscop. In the final scene of the soundtrack, Belle recounts when she and Paul were adopted, “There is Boss waiting for her son. Pall do you remember being born. Smuggled away driving to your new house. Boss in driver seat me in back.” (Petscop Soundtrack). “Do you remember being born” is a question posed over and over again throughout Petscop. It’s meant to be a reference to rebirthing, but here it’s Paul being asked if he remembers being born, not Care; you can also connect this to the “new life” letter, making it apparent Belle is asking if he remembers when he was given his “new life” with her and “Boss”. There’s also the implication of the wording “smuggled away”, implying that there was something stopping Paul from being taken to his new home. Paul and Care’s final scenes parallel each other; Care is placed with Belle’s/Tiara’s egg with the “new life” letter, while Paul is taken back to “Boss” by Belle. Care and Paul are both asked if they “remember being born”.
Another, smaller piece of colour theory in Petscop comes from the board games in the counsellor’s office. The board game “Accident” features red and yellow puzzle pieces that fit together, but are broken apart. Remember that Care’s colour is yellow, so assume that she symbolises the yellow piece; Paul’s colour is red, so assume that he symbolises the red piece. The red piece is bigger and fits into the smaller yellow piece, like it’s missing the beginning of it. The yellow piece comes before the red piece, as if it adds context to the red piece. When we think of this in terms of Care and Paul, we can see that Care is the “missing piece” of Paul; the small part of his past that adds the context that completes him. Paul’s piece is bigger because he’s been Paul for so much longer (if we interpret the counsellor’s office as a real event the way it is shown, then that could be the moment he changed. Or, if we consider Care’s rebirth into the egg as the moment Care turned into Paul, then that would be the moment instead), meanwhile Care’s piece is small because she was only a small part of his life.
Taking colour into account, we can get into the meat of the symbolism in Petscop. When we view the events of Petscop through our new lens, many things become significant. Paul is placed in the role of Care many times throughout the series; on Care’s birthday, in the counsellor's office, and in Rainer’s “you are Carrie Mark” monologue.
During the “strange situation” birthday scene, Paul carries around a yellow balloon, symbolising that he is standing in for Care. This is further cemented by Anna’s dialogue addressing Paul as if he is Care on the day she came home, “You made it. Happy birthday! (...) Why are you covering your face? (...) Of course I recognize you. Those eyes. That nose. That’s still you.” (Petscop 14).
This next dialogue from Anna is particularly interesting to me; she doesn’t just tell Paul that she’s happy Care is home safe or ask him where she’s been, but instead she says this, “I sure hope you’ve realised by now. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been gone. It doesn’t matter how much you’ve changed. You aren’t lost. Stop wandering and come home.” (Petscop 14). When we talk about Petscop, we have the urge to deny any supernatural involvement in the story. Whether through AI or predictive programming or alternate timelines, we want Petscop to be plausible. Understandable. Easy to digest. But, we often forget that Paul poses the question of a literal “ghost in the machine” in the first few episodes. I want to consider this quote– Anna talking to her child who has been “lost” for many years– as an act of this ghost. The game is talking back to Paul, telling him that no matter how much he has changed, he still has the same eyes, the same nose that made him Carrie Mark. And we know how important eyes and noses are in Petscop. Also as a side note, consider how Anna didn’t specify eyebrows; we know that Care’s lack of eyebrows is in some way due to Marvin, but when she tells Paul she recognises his eyes and nose, she doesn’t add on eyebrows. Paul said it himself in Petscop 7, “Um, and why am I doing that? Well, because eyebrows seem to be important.” (Petscop 7). I like to think that she couldn’t have said that Paul has the same eyebrows because, since Marvin isn’t in the picture anymore, he wouldn’t have any reason to pluck them.
Another scene that mixes up Paul and Care is the counsellor's office. When Paul finally enters the “girl wall” in Petscop 22, he is placed into a school’s counsellor’s office. Again, they talk to Paul as if he is Care, apologising for taking him out of class and saying he needs to “catch up”, implying that he’s missed a significant amount of school. As they start to play Graverobber (Jesus Christ, Rainer), the counsellor is confused about Paul’s name; they ask him if they have the wrong name written down, as his save file is currently “Strange Situation” and when they called out the name on file, Paul didn’t respond. Now, the connection here is a little more nuanced, but it still comes to a conclusion that I think greatly supports the theory. “Strange situation” is in reference to the Mary Ainsworth Strange Situation Experiment, a test in which an infant is deliberately separated from their mother to test their level of attachment. This is a very base level understanding of this concept, but when applied to this specific scene, it becomes apparent that this “strange situation” is another reference to Care. Care was separated from her mother for about half a year, only returning during the birthday party scene; the counsellor’s scene was accessible once Paul started using the “Strange Situation” file. Care stopped recognising the name she used before the seperation, considering herself to be “Strange Situation” instead. She has literally stopped recognising the name Care, and picks out her own name (which in the game Paul sets to his own).
Also consider the implication of the “girl wall”. At first, it’s an absurd joke, meant to lighten the mood using the same roundabout humour the rest of the series has. But, the counsellor asking if they have the wrong name, listing Paul as “Strange Situation” instead of his name, combined with the fact that when Paul is placed in front of the girl wall, he can’t walk away from it, it becomes a bit of an analogy; The game keeps forcefully showing Paul the word “GiRL” over and over and when he finally enters the “girl-world” as Strange Situation, he is called the wrong name and once again placed in Care’s shoes.
Let’s revisit the “ghost in the machine” idea. In Petscop 17, we are shown a past recording of Petscop; we never find out who was playing at this time, but it’s easy to assume Paul is the one watching the recording. The footage is less interesting than the dialogue, but it is notable that it’s a recording of the player running backwards in a very deliberate pattern. The actually relevant part of this sequence is Rainer’s monologue; in particular, the way he frames it, “You are a girl named Carrie Mark, and you were born on November 12th, 1992. You have a mommy named Anna, a daddy named Marvin, an auntie named Jill, an uncle named Thomas, a cousin named Daniel, ......I know what you must be thinking. Have these statements always been true? Or have I cursed you? Is there such a thing? A curse that changes your past?” (Petscop 17). There’s something about the forcefulness of this dialogue, “You are Carrie Mark,” as if Rainer is trying to make it so just by saying it. The inclusion of the birthday is also notable; we have been shown time and time again that Paul and Care share a birthday, and that this is an important part of both of their characters. So, when Rainer asks if these statements have always been true, or if it’s “a curse that changes your past”, we’re meant to interpret it as such: some of the statements are true, but the “you” being addressed is not currently “a girl named Carrie Mark”. Rainer casts a spell to make the player retrace their steps and although he might not be playing, the use of the word “you” and present tense language makes the statement pointed towards Paul. There’s something to be said about Rainer’s position in all of this; he isn’t the only tangible “ghost” in Petscop (Marvin and Tiara fit Paul’s definition established in Petscop 6), but he’s the only one to be fully dead. It truly feels, in this moment, like Petscop– like Rainer– is talking directly to Paul. The “curse that changes your past” is the part that ties it all together. This past that Paul doesn’t fully remember, where Anna and Marvin have a daughter named Care, where someone in his family went missing for months– by learning about this through the game, Rainer is essentially changing Paul’s version of the past. Your memory and physical evidence are all you have of the past; when your memory tells you one thing, but physical evidence tells you another, what version of your past is true?
“You’re the Newmaker. You can turn Care NLM into Care A, and close the loop.” (Petscop 9)
Finally, I want to explain why this theory is supportive of the themes of Petscop. Of course, there’s the obvious link between rebirth and the change from Care to Paul. But, there’s also themes of blood family versus chosen family, breaking the cycle of abuse, and of healing from your past. I want to provide an explanation of each of these themes and how the “Paul is Care” theory fits into them.
Let’s begin with the family point, since I already expanded on the family’s role in Petscop earlier. There’s a story behind the scenes in this series; the conflict between the chosen family versus the blood family. Anna and Jill against Belle and Lina. Anna and Jill are restrictive– they take over the channel and block certain things from the audience. Paul admits that he’s intimidated by them, and he’s concerned when he thinks Jill could be in contact with Belle. When we get the only dialogue from Jill, Paul is hostile and aggressive with her, something we don’t see from him otherwise. Alternately, Anna comes off as dismissive in most of her dialogue; when Care shows up at the birthday party, Anna treats her like no time has passed, like they haven’t been searching for her for months. We don’t get direct contact between Anna and Paul (except for a phone call in Petscop 11 that you could interpret as being with Anna), but the way she talks to the player through Care during the birthday party is still dismissive, “I sure hope you’ve realised by now. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been gone. It doesn’t matter how much you’ve changed. You aren’t lost. Stop wandering and come home.” (Petscop 14). There’s a level of distance between Paul and the family, which is evident from the name alone; Paul identifies himself as part of the family, but he still calls them “the family” as opposed to “my family”. When you pair that with the fact that he calls them all by their first names instead of any term of endearment (like how Rainer calls her “Auntie Jill” in his spell), it paints a clear picture: Paul does not want to be part of this family.
In direct contrast, Belle is shown a significant amount of affection from Paul. Not only is he on the phone with her for a good handful of the episodes, but Belle also has a familial connection to Paul. In Petscop 2, Paul is talking to Belle and he says “When you come home next month, and uh, hopefully you're feeling a little more enthusiastic about that now, we can investigate this together, and maybe you'll find stuff that I can't find here.” (Petscop 2). I think the casual use of the word ‘home’ to describe where Belle is staying implies a certain closeness, maybe even that they live in the same household. That’s not the part of this line that is important to me, however. Take a look at Belle’s final speech at the end of Petscop; Belle says “I could not wait too be your friend,” and Paul responds, “Family”, to which Belle says, “We can investigate this together.” (Petscop Soundtrack). After distancing himself from the family, as well as directly telling her she’s not part of the family (following it up with “Uhh... I didn't- I didn't mean it that way,” (Petscop 22), implying they have a similar connection that she’s defending), Paul calls Belle family. She states that they’re friends and Paul corrects her by telling her that they’re not just friends, but family. The most gut wrenching part of this dialogue is the use of ‘we can investigate this together’. It’s like a ward, a promise that Belle is making to Paul. He doesn’t have to go through this alone, she’s promising to be there for him. She’s going to investigate this with him, like he asked her to in the second episode. Paul doesn’t call his blood relatives family, but he tells Belle that they are his family; her and the “Boss”.
How does this connect to Care? It’s not hard evidence, but when you take this theme of family into account, it makes more sense for Paul to have a strained relationship with the family if we apply Care’s story to him. Think about it; Paul was ‘smuggled away driving too [his] new house’ and he hasn’t seen the family since he was a child, and Care’s egg was (metaphorically) placed with Belle’s and the New Life Letter when she would have been around 5, since that’s the age she was when she was kidnapped. Care went through an extremely traumatic event in a toxic environment– why wouldn’t someone step in and take her out of that family? To me, this theory extends the same closure Paul gets at the end of Petscop to Care; it tells us that even after everything she went through, she finds people who love and take care of her.
Abuse is a huge focus in Petscop, both as a plot point and a major theme. Rainer’s main motivation is to expose Marvin’s abuse of both Mike and Care to the family– whether or not that’s successful is not important. Because years after Rainer’s attempt, Paul is back doing the exact same; although, his playthrough of Petscop is less of an expose and more of an attempt at solving the mystery. Now, I think it’s a little pedantic, but in this context, I think the “cycle of abuse” in Petscop refers less to a generational cycle, but a continuous cycle that happens every time Petscop is played. Care is stuck in this version of the past that Rainer has created, forced to live through it as many years as Petscop is left on. Paul doesn’t continue this cycle though; as far as we know, Paul is the only person to reach the good ending of the game, where he’s rebirthed Care into the egg and reconnected with Belle and ‘Boss’. Paul is the only person who could understand what Care needed, because it’s exactly what he needed.
Care’s trauma is replayed for us throughout Petscop. Every knowable aspect of it is shown, leaving behind a raw feeling; like somehow, Paul and Rainer have made a spectacle of her abuse. But, I don’t think that’s entirely true. Rainer, although he is bitter and vengeful, is ultimately the person who finds the truth about Care and Mike and (if we are to believe him) is also the one who found Care at the school. In the beginning, it’s obvious that Paul is playing the game to see the mystery and is slowly engulfed by it throughout the rest of the series. When the game tells him that, “Marvin picks up tool hurts me when playstation on,” (Petscop 3), Paul proceeds anyway. The same happens when Care is caught in her room; Paul sees what is obviously a child being kidnapped and continues to solve the puzzle anyway. He picks the flower, catching Care NLM, and leads Marvin to the house. Paul follows through on everything he can to ‘solve’ the mystery of Carrie Mark, but in the end, he defies what the game has told him to do and saves Care. He does what Rainer couldn’t do: he breaks the cycle of abuse in the Mark-Leskowitz family. It’s kind of poetic, the idea that the person Care grew to be is the same person who confronts and lays to rest her trauma. The fact that playing his own theme would be the key to changing Care into the egg (a symbol of birth and potential) is beautiful.
The last thing I want to talk about is the theme of healing. This concept is more nebulous; we don’t see much of Paul post-Petscop, but the final scene does always leave me feeling hopeful for him. I think the reconnection with Belle and ‘Boss’, alongside the reassurance that, “[they] can investigate this together,” shows that Paul is out of the mindset and environment Petscop put him in. I’ve always thought that throughout Petscop, we see a deterioration of Paul; in the beginning, he’s intrigued and confused, but we see him become more and more disturbed, irritable, and frustrated towards the end. This is first evident with the CD puzzle in the house, where Paul is so out of his depth and confused that he stops acting with the same calm rationality shown throughout the earlier episodes. Then, when Paul is messing about with the demo recordings, he stops speaking in the videos entirely. When Paul sees the final blacked out object, which are coordinates to the real life windmill, he is the most stuttery we’ve ever seen, “Hm. Y- y- yep, yep. Yep... yep. N- we would- we would have to find out how big... like, we'd have to find out how big a tile is..? One of the tiles..? Like, if we could- if we could figure out how big... one tile is, in... u- in, umm... Like, feet. Or... Uhh, yeah. Meters.” (Petscop 22). He’s frazzled and excited and a little bit scared, evidenced by how he talks about the family, “They didn't... I don't like talking to them. They intimidate me…” (Petscop 22). All of this changes by the end; Paul is no longer stuck playing the game and he’s free to return to the people who love him most. This freedom is summed up in a single image: the final one we see in Petscop. Paul’s chair is empty and the blue sky beyond the desk is brimming with hope.
All this to say, Paul choosing Belle and ‘Boss’ over the game as well as saving Care by doing what’s best for her instead of finishing the final puzzle, alongside his final scene where he is welcomed home by his real family, shows us an interpretation of Petscop that paints it not as a tragedy, but a story of chosen family, breaking the cycle of abuse, and healing trauma through connection.
Thank you so much for hearing me out.

The angel of music would bring you nothing but the joy and passion of the opera, father said. That the angel will always protect you.
“The angel visited musicians, whispering divine melodies into their dreams.” he would always say, playing the violin as you hummed along. these heart-warming moments with your father made you gleam with joy each time.
He wasn’t wrong at all, even after his death. It seemed as if the angel of music finally came to you. He was your lighthouse whenever you succumbed into darkness every night.
His voice called your name throughout those lonely nights, providing you comfort. Even the nights where he taught you how to sing, made you forget the desolate days.
There was something odd, yet intriguing about the flames near your father’s candle. Perhaps it was the flames of the candles who finally showed you your angel.
The fire shone with passion each time you practiced, the heat merely just centimeters away from your fingertips. Always shining brightly, as if it was your audience that clapped for you after your performance. How beautiful your angel of music really was.
The dreams of those beautiful flames, eloping you gently yet filled with so much passion. Its embers were so pure, filled with nothing but amity and warmth.
Your first lesson with your angel started unexpectedly. From singing to yourself in the dimly lit chapel as you grieved your father, that was when you heard his voice clearly.
He whispered your name, commanding yet tender. “Your voice is beautiful, my dear. Do not fear; as I am your Angel of Music. Let me guide you as you’re destined for greatness.”
You looked around to see if anybody was there, but it was only you in the room. Even from the shadows that crept up behind you, nobody was there. “..Where are you? Are you—real?” Your voice was hesitant, worry furrowed your brows.
“..I am the flame that burns, dear. The fire that will keep you warmth and bring you the light you deserve. I only seek to help you become a magnificent soprano.” His voice was genuine, making your heart swell with hope. Perhaps your father sent him to you in a way to stop the tears flowing from your eyes.
And so, he had helped fulfill his promise. Many lessons had passed and so has your sadness. Being with him helped you process your grief. With his help, your voice had improved.
“Breathe deeply, feel the hymn through your soul.” He spoke to you one night, your eyes fixated on the blooming candelabra.
And so you did, letting your soprano fill the chapel. You placed a hand on your heart, feeling the melody from within flourish as you sung. Compared from your first lesson from your early days at the Palais Garnier, your operatic voice has become more confident.
Your angel hummed in approval, saying your name in praise. He congratulates you in how far you’ve come. “Your father would be proud. He watches you from above as I guide you from here below.”
You softly smiled, feeling proud of yourself and hopeful. “You’ve taught me so much, my angel. I owe everything to you.” You felt grateful that your father sent this angel. He was so understanding and kind, slowly yet surely always leading you to becoming who you are today.
“You owe me nothing,” he replied, his voice more softer. “It is myself who is unworthy of you.” You heard his sigh, feeling his vulnerability slip from the walls he held up.
“I find that hard to believe. You’re nothing but brilliant in my eyes. A genius, truly.” You lightly chuckled, hoping that your words would bring him comfort. It was nice having these rare conversations with your angel. Sometimes he felt real.
You sensed his vulnerability fade away, his voice hopeful. “It is my duty to show you how special your gift is. You’re perfect, I assure you.” He lightly chuckled, his voice echoing through the empty chapel.
His voice was rich and sweet, even without singing. You wondered if all angels sounded this philharmonic. His compliments felt like butterflies on your skin, so gentle. It made you happier in his presence.
“I hope for the day that I will see your face, angel. That way I can properly thank you for all that you’ve done.” You say, fidgeting with your hands.
He stayed quiet for a few moments, his voice a bittersweet. “..You think of me so highly.” He says your name in a gentle manner. “I only hope that your words will live up to that promise.” He clears his throat, feeling as if he revealed too much.
“We can continue our lesson another time, but otherwise you are ready. Your magnificent performance will nonetheless make you a star.” He says, his voice fading away as he departs.
His words hung over you as the flame before you flickered, signaling his departure. Maybe he is right, your eagerness bringing a soft smile to lips. You only hope that he would always be by your side if you ever became worthy.
—
Jason would never let you know the truth. He didn’t want you to run away from his true self in fear, so he kept his distance and let you think that he was an angel. In reality, all he wants is you. Soon, he says to himself. Soon.

Final batch of blogtember prompts! Once again, prompts provided by @jazzy-art-time / @mod-jazzy!! Thank you for giving me a buncha stuff to do this month!
Elaborations under the cut:
Day 21: I decided the funniest thing to do for this was to swap the shiny status of my Eevee twins. Cream and Cheese who did this to you! Uncanny!
Day 22: Ok genuinely one of the scenes I'm most interested in writing. These three characters are super old conceptually and near and dear to my heart. Once I get to doing stuff with them I'm going to be so!!! Excited!!!!
Day 23: I checked and it turns out I don't have like any nature photography on my phone? So I looked up cave pictures on google and picked one to put my rats in. Hello Remulus and Atticus nice to see you
Day 24: Hmm....important Apricorn. Wonder what that's about hmmmm
Day 25: This one!! Vexed me!! Because a lot of the ships in my blogs feel like plot spoilers to talk about? Or at least the ones I like the most. So I picked Anneva and Reginald! Because I've mentioned Anneva on inquiries and I've drawn them both on here in the past. They're a comfort duo.
Day 26: If Paleo and Tide have one fan its me bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Initially I tried to draw him awkwardly giving her flowers but I couldn't get the pose right so instead they're going on a park date! Hi again Jazzy I love your slug and so does Paleo!!!! Their dynamic is fun and cute and I like them!!!!!!
Day 28: I think I mentioned it once or twice? These four on fugamsemidei are based on slugcats in Rain World. In fact the first time I drew them at all was in a big batch of Poke-RW doodles. I just decided I liked them enough to make them characters on the blog. And they fit with the rest of the cast well enough so I don't have any shame lmao
Day 29: Anyone remember this gem??? I do. I rediscovered it recently and went "oh. Oh this is a Gravity song woaw"
Day 29 again: So uh I tried really hard to figure out something for day 27's prompt but I genuinely could not find anything within the time frame. So instead I just did day 29 twice. Neura with this song. Because a lot of people are really unhappy because of her actions. She's to blame for so much strife and grief. Deep down and also not that deep at all she's overcome with guilt but she's not gonna change anything rip.
Day 30: The first ever blog post I made was a poorly-drawn Aspen on phantumpdaily. But that's not particularly interesting to look at, and also I've drawn Aspen just floating there on many occasions so that post isn't super unique. So, instead, I drew the first post on the rebooted version of that blog: the intro to asklucyphantump. That was more directly an askblog than phantumpdaily anyway so this isn't cheese I swear skdfjashdf

@sockdooe, I could genuinely write up multiple essays about how poorly a lot of the general relationship-building and maintaining is handled in this show.
There are some truly excellent, stand-out moments between the main cast and the aliens they encounter, like Shay and the Balmerans, and even Slav, and the main cast and the Holts, the Blades, and members of the Garrison.
Shiro and Pidge's older brother-little sister relationship in the early episodes will forever be dear to my heart,
to the point that I cherish even the crumbs we get in the final seasons.
The banter between Shiro and Allura in Collection and Extraction is top-notch.
Not to mention everything else about their relationship when it's acknowledged.
Shiro and Keith have their deep, abiding bond.
And Hunk has amazing moments with darned near everyone, because he's Hunk.
But, yes, so many inter-team and beyond relationships were established, just to be tossed away.
Where's the resolution for Lance's failed attempt to connect with Shiro in the Astral Plane? Why did Shiro start riding in the Green Lion with Pidge on the journey back to Earth after so much significance was given to the literally death-defying depths of his and Keith's devotion to each other? Why set up Acxa having a thing for Keith and Keith going out of his way to save her,
only to do nothing further with their relationship and later hint at a romance between Acxa and Veronica?
(Have a bonus really awkward closeup of Shiro from that episode, as if he isn't disrespected enough in this grueling nightmare of a season:
It looks like they tried to make him white.(πーπ) )
Shiro and Hunk barely talk to each other, despite being the support pillars of Voltron, and its voices of reason. You have two half-Galra main characters, and they- according to what I've read- never have a single conversation? But, we can do a poor man's recreation of Shiro's confrontation with Zarkon in the Astral Plane, only with Keith, this time, so it's "better" because it's one Galra Paladin calling out the other as unworthy, even though said Paladins have absolutely no prior history with or emotional connection to each other and have done nothing between them to earn this moment.
Why did the Real Shiro and Matt never interact with each other at all after Shiro sacrificed himself to save Matt's life?
The majority of this can be explained by the simple fact that somebody in charge hated Shiro, and didn't want to have to do anything with him, anymore. The rest of it is just... sheer, bewildering, aggravating beyond all comprehension incompetence.

Hey! X-Files ask! What’s your favorite niche episode, or episode that a lot of people don’t care for that you really enjoyed?
<3
Ooh what a fun ask! I’ll make a list:)
Ghost in the Machine - Objectively not a good episode but I find its campiness very charming and the outdated technology is hilarious. Also my family named the AI/the machine Florence and I love that. Plus Scully’s an action hero in this episode and that alone makes it a rewatch for me.
Aubrey - Underrated! A really good monster of the week with twists that I genuinely didn’t expect. Plus a wonderful climax (I feel that Scully to the rescue will be a common theme on this list…sue me), and an EXCELLENT score!
Død Kalm - I don’t like this episode but I do regularly think about the fact that Scully saved them through note taking.
Revelations - SO SLEPT ON! This episode deals with Scully’s character in such interesting ways - her religion and how that intersects with her skepticism, her science, and her relationship with Mulder. We rarely get to see her in the hero’s role so that was a nice change, but I also loved the way this episode turned her and Mulder’s dynamic on its head and examined not only her relationship with belief but Mulder’s relationship with belief in her. And the ending is phenomenal. God.
Grotesque - Another one that I really think should be talked about more! What a fascinating look into Mulder’s psyche - how his empathy and obsessive tendencies make him amazing at getting inside killers’ minds but it takes such a TOLL on him and everyone who loves him. This is such an intriguing side of his character that I wish we got to see more.
Teliko - I despise this episode, but the climax is near and dear to my heart so for that reason I will always rewatch.
Kill Switch - My most recent watch! I know this episode was wacky and kind of bad, but it was such a good time. The AI was ridiculously campy and outdated. Esther was a hilarious one off character. Mulder’s AI subconscious dreams were HYSTERICAL (don’t worry Mulder I would dream about kickass karate Scully too). And this episode is a whump girlie’s paradise, so there’s that too😌
Thanks for the ask!
