I DID IT !!! I p-ranked the first act of ultrakill for the first time, and made it to minos' boss fight!! :D

#ultrakill #I did it guys I finally p-ranked Gabriel's pussy myself #I've never done it before #it was surprisingly easy #the hardest part was Gabriel's boss fight #I normally have insane style points #like 10-20 thousand #but for his boss fight I was getting like 1800 #which is unusual and was infuriating #because he has a long ass path to get to his boss fight >:(#and it was very tedious to have to keep running through it over and over #never got tired of him yelling at me though #I got partway through the flesh prison fight before feeling my carpal tunnel kick in so I stopped there #its easier than I thought #just tedious #because you have to shoot the tiny eye things to keep it from healing #all the while running away from a black hole and large virtue beams #I can see how it would be annoying #but I didn't get my ass handed to me as many times as I thought #excited to meet minos prime myself for the first time!!! :D

george rexstrew deserves awards for many things but i have to say. edwin’s bloodcurdling scream as niko gets killed deserves a whole award unto itself. like. that scream did not feel at all like a tv show scream. to a somewhat jarring degree. and i can’t express how much I respect that

#he has a number of very convincing screams and suffering noises which I imagine was an important prerequisite for the role #but this one is just especially chilling and again. jarring. not saying that the other actors are bad or anything but no one even comes #close to competing with george and its stark in moments like this #another screaming moment that I thought he did really well in particular is far easier to gloss over and that’s #when he and charles are escaping hell and he almost gets dragged down into lust #when he’s screaming out for charles he borderline SCREECHES #throughout that arc in general it’s just incredible but yeah #I think part of what makes it so convincing is that he isn’t afraid to be high pitched and genuinely Scream rather than yell #like. he is clearly immune to being put off by ‘you scream like a girl’ rhetoric #I think a lot of male actors avoid screaming and screeching like that for that internalized reason when. if you wanna be as realistic as #possible. a scream is high pitched. if you’re scared for your fucking life it’s just involuntary #I can also see it being uncommon due to difficulties getting that sound adequately recorded but yeah anyway you get my point #tldr: george rexstrew is great at disturbingly realistic screaming and I applaud him for that #I really hope he didn’t have to retake that part too many times..#his poor throat……….#george rexstrew #edwin #edwin payne #dead boy detectives #dead boy detectives spoilers

artemis and dahlia are so good. the contrast between the supposed hero drizzt always keeping her at an arm's lenght, preferring the "soft look" she puts on to please him where she acts and looks softer and covers her tattoos and scars, knowing she had a painful past but not bothering to ask or look into it because it would shake his morals and he would rather pretend to not know than to actually confront it or even help dahlia through it. meanwhile the supposedly cold killer artemis with just a few looks saw the pain in her, let her have the kill against herzgo because he realized it was important to her even if he had just as good reasons and he didnt know dahlia's yet, and when they were alone he let dahlia be vulnerable to him, asked her about her pain, and when she was not comfortable to speak about it he just stayed near her and comforted her

#bani.txt #impressions so far. im halfway through charon's claw #i really appreciate these books for very much showing drizzt's asshole side #he does not even realize he is one. from his point of view its just dahlia being manipulative or erratic #which granted she is but not to the degree he assumes.#drizzt hardly second guesses his thoughts on her from the moment they start travelling together #i feel like i understand why people see dahlia that wrongly now. they take drizzt's pov as the right one #which makes dahlia's actions seem much worse #meanwhile as someone who has been in dahlia's shoes to a much minor degree if someone thought of me as drizzt does id fucking slap them #its interesting to see the flip coin to drizzt's habit of putting people on pedestals #he put zak on the 'only good person beside me in menzo' pedestal when he was just a man doing his best and not even very well #he puts catti on the 'taught me to tolerate everyone' pedestal when all she did was maybe ask what the goblins were doing #instead of going for the kill immediately (and then happily join when the goblins turned out t be enemies after all)#so now he puts dahlia on the 'mysterious woman manipulating me along' pedestal bc thats easier to say #rather than admitting that the world has changed and so has he #legend of drizzt
