I am being so serious right now, the one thing that truly makes me sad and disappointed in the asoiaf adaptions, all of them, is how magicless they feel. like . they are sucking all the magic out of the plot. even though it is a fantasy story!!! but the magic is so flat in the series, its almost not even there, well, besides the dragons but even that is so luckluster I guess.....it could be more, but alas

Does anyone feel like the reason Malewife became such a big thing on tumblr is because people perceive masculinity is threatening? And the only non-problematic way to enjoy a "het" (m/f does not equal het) ship is to have the male character be utterly disconnected from the concept of traditional masculinity when it makes little to no sense with the canon.
