#trigun stampede #trigun #vashwood #vash the stampede #nicholas d wolfwood #i think they both spent majority of their lives in solitude and ofc vash went town to town and made friendships promises and etc along the w #way + he had his home and whatnot in the long years he's been alive but he still just seemed so lonely.#in prior versions of trimax he had friends at home at least and maybe he mightv made some but luida and brad are basically just his #guardians in this adaption. like brad used to be a homie.... vash watched that little dude grow up.... and jessica too.... but he doesn't #have that in this adaption. nor a town like july where he had grown close to the townspeople and shaped that tragedy to be closer to his #heart. and wolfwood spent years fighting under the eom and doing shit under their jurisdiction when we saw him so adamantly try to reject #and fight back against that fate. i dont think he had a second at all to get familiar with townspeople or even care to #so its just these two lonely ass souls and vash immediately seeing the good in ww and points it out #ww who is under orders again to be involved in vash's business but he's also SO touchy about it bc vash is so careless and lack that self #regard and also just is not seeing the world that ww is seeing. but then vash helps him and saves him by sharing a piece of what /he/ sees #and it fucking. rescrambled ww's brain for a sec. HE GAVE HIM HOPE!!! he gave him hope!!!! and in turn ww gave vash hope too and its #all done in like 3-4 eps. there's so much fervent attachment in what they managed to give each other in such a short time #but theyre limited to the contract to the inevitable confrontation with knives - so while theyd want to give into that chance to love this #person who managed to give them smth special they just can't at all #ruporas art

I've started playing Potion Permit, and so far it's one of my favorite games I've messed around with, but the most big brained move the devs made was giving you a dog on day 1, and then making that dog able to track NPCs and lead you directly to them no matter where they are in the town.

#im still early game but i like the play and the writing is passable #like #Theres a flatness #the characters Are distinct but theyre mostly just their jobs #with only a few who stand out and have like. something to really grab onto #Like rue? rues entire deal is little girl you can date. Nothing else behind those eyes. She has nothing better to talk to you about #than the fact her favorite color is red #Sorcelia? Sorcelia is a goth nun who loves singing and teaches one of the village children #Reynerd? sure is a guy #got nothing else to say about him. hes just a Guy™. Victor? Has ghost friends and loves bugs and cares deeply about the cemetery #he tends to. At the moment it feels like they're trying to imply there aren't actually ghosts. and hes just talking to himself/#insisting his imaginary friends are real people #and so far? The games been cool about it. Victor's a member of his community and his eccentricities are accepted and not ridiculed #all four characters ive mentioned are romance candidates. but its just as hit or miss with the regular towns folk #Opalheart is an older woman and a world renowned blacksmith who only takes jobs if they will do Good. regardless of whether or not they #pay well. She declines to make a dagger for a rich man but makes a helmet for a childs father bc the girl asked #and olive is here #anyways you can be best friends with a cat (shes just a regular cat) and i appreciate that #idk im putting it above sun haven in my ranking of life sim games #purely because there are older romance candidates.#no fat romance candidates. but sun haven doesn't have thise either.#and sdv has neither fat or old candidates Nor can you fuck a cat boy. it goes at the bottom.#gameplay wise sunhaven is at the bottom then sdv then potion permit at the top. sunhaven has the Most™ but having #a lot of crap doesn't mean its fun and it ends up making half the game feel really incomplete #idk. I love how all of the companions' stories revolve around autonomy and I love how some of the romances show the whole "I love you for who you are"

#not even only regarding Gregory but ellis as well #she'd see this perfectly good friend who cares about tony and has stuck by him for years that tony grew up with #and yeah hes a little flawed but not enough to be dropped or condemned #and shed see how tony blows him off and resents him bc of his own pent up anger and wants to stop hanging out with him #on top of watching tony treat gregory as only a mystery/ggy #(bc this would have to be post book+sb and pre ruin id say)#and shed get mad not only on gregorys behalf but on ellis'#friendship is so important to her and shes grateful to have met Gregory every day #gregory whos flawed like ellis is but tony still wants to take him for granted #both ellis and gregory #shed yell soo much sense into him #and its even more interesting during some sort of plotline where they have to stick together #like ur my only ally and its killing me watching you treat your friends like this but i have to stick with you #doesnt mean i wont scream at you after noticing all this #tony and cassie having different outlooks on a ggy esque plotline #like finding him or solving it or something (but cassies friendship was with the real gregory)#and she watches how as she cares about helping and saving her friend and making sure hes okay #tony is treating it like a detective case and like gregory is just a mystery to solve like hes a goal and not a person #or his FRIEND #cassie would be soo mad #maybe like during ruin or something tony is there #and she doesnt know about the murderous part until she yells at tony about how hes treating finding Gregory #and then he explains it all to her but is like i donnttt think it was him he mighhtt have been possessed #imagining post ruin Tony is the only thing keeping cassie from spiraling #like thyere trapped down there for a bit and he finds a way out but cassie has been being whispered to by the mask and shit #he keeps her from being turned against gregory in this case #using the words she threw in his face about friendship back in hers #not-gregory duo #tony #cassie
