his lighter, land suit is based off of his human form's tank top and his eye color. his darker, underwater suit is based off of his seafolk form. he has a hooded suit to resemble his tall hair and to parallel spidergwen's suit. this is to hint at alberto being luca's love interest and to acknowledge the parallels in his and gwen's stories.

so...what is their story?

luca paguro was bitten by a radioactive spider when he was 13 years old, and for the past 3 years... he hasn't been up to much..like at all. luca is *very* scared of being spiderman.

not to mention, his parents have a certain idea of his future that just.. doesn't include being spiderman. so for the past 3 years, luca has actively *not* been spiderman. if someone attacks portorosso, then so be it. he pretends not to care, because it's not his fault..right?

that is, until alberto scorfano shows up one day.

alberto scofano was bitten by a radioactive spider when he was 14, and for the past 3 years he's been trying, and failing, to be the spiderman his universe needs. alberto doesn't fit in his dimension as spiderman.

that's not to say alberto isn't a good spiderman! it's just..he seems to let his personal dreams and side-adventures get in the way of the *real* problems occurring around him. but he's still a good spiderman..right?

after the death of his father, alberto decides there's nothing left for him in a universe that doesn't care about him, and creates a one-time-use-only watch that allows him to travel to any universe.

luca doesn't know what to think when he sees a hooded, masked figure swinging through the streets of portorosso. is he not spiderman afterall? did his time run out since he's been idle so long and someone else is here to replace him? no, he's definitely still spiderman.

a few days pass of luca ignoring this new spiderman. he's doing a good job at keeping the town safe, and everyone is so glad to finally have someone to protect them. luca almost gets comfortable with using his webs just for recreational fun.

but this new spiderman isn't clueless.. he's been on the lookout for this universe's spiderman since the day he got there and when he finally finds him, he realizes why portorosso has been deserted of its spiderman for so long and decides to train luca on all things spiderman.

their training sessions proved to be very successful. luca is thriving as spiderman and he and alberto are making a great team. but alberto is disintegrating. he isn't meant to be in this universe and each glitch rubs it in more.

when luca finds out about this, he panics. he needs to help him. so when the spider society contacts him to join the society and explains how he would be able to visit any dimension without glitching if he did, luca knows what needs to happen.

through much convincing - "i wouldn't be spiderman if it weren't for alberto!" - luca convinces the society to accept alberto as their newest member instead and allow him to stay primarily in luca's dimension. being a member of the spider society provides alberto with the opportunities to chase his dreams in any dimension and gives him the sense of community he's been searching for. plus, with luca being able to keep portorosso safe all by himself, alberto gets to choose when to take on his spiderman duties vs spend time on his passion projects.

luca's gwen is his childhood best friend. both their parents always assumed they would get married and luca did too until she died in front of him. he struggled a lot with what his life would look like without her since she was a major part in what he thought his future would be.

the dimension alberto asked his watch to go to was "a universe who needs me". it wasn't just portorosso who needed him :)

giulia jane meets luca and alberto during their first training session together, she doesn't see their suits or abilities but she does hear a large "CRASH!" behind her house and hurries them inside to tend to their cuts and bruises, eventually letting them stay for dinner too

ahem, back to normal- first off, i was wondering if you had any plans to implement angst regarding timmy finding out that bravo thinks of him as like, the second-best version of him? because while 'if he cant have the sun, he'll learn to love its shadow' could be quite sweet its also heeeeelllllllla toxic on bravos part. for timmy to find out that bravo thinks he's jimmy's lesser version and that he's only helping him/being friends with him/having a relationship with him because bravo couldn't have jimmy and is settling would be an Absolute punch to the gut... i mean timmy already has enough misery and trauma looming over him about to strike (please let my boy be okay in the end <3 i am... very worried. if jimmy is my son then timmy is my favorite traumatized nephew whomst i will shower with gifts and candy) but y'know,, just somethin to think about :)

oh! Also! you already have so many tasty parallels in htp (seriously, i am unhinged, as to say i am No Longer Connected To The Door Frame), but at the point where jimmy and tango were being restrained and jimmy mentioned almost choking on blood and then that he should've killed himself to spawn back at the ranch, i was totally thinking you'd parallel how tango escaped hels tek with jimmy choking on the blood,,,,,, then again, maybe the parallel went unfilled because jim's in a much more hopeful situation than tango was- a bunch of lethal and very pissed friends to defend him, nice home, etc.. yeah. And one more thing: kudos and applause and hip hip hoorays that you didn't choose to implement misunderstandings and have Jimmy even once doubt Tango or stop fighting for him. I for one have had quite enough of misunderstandings just for the sake of drama, and although tango's not the best at communicating, he's got unresolved trauma, and jimmy, thank the stars, does not jump to conclusions and instead trusts Tango and waits until more information is revealed. thank you so, so much for that. we love healthy relationships here <3 (*looks at bravo and timmy*)

Okay, so here's my reasoning:

Akaashi is very used to Bokuto's mood swings and depressive episodes, and so probably knows about a million great coping mechanisms and distractions in mind to help you when you're having a hard time of it, whether you need to talk through it or just get whatever's bothering you off your mind until you're ready to talk. Also, he's not the most expressive person either, so I doubt he'd be too bothered by RBF. In fact, people would probably find it fitting, as both of you can come across as very serious people with RBF before they get to know you.

He would love to hang out with you, especially in lowkey settings, just watching movies, reading books together, talking about life and recent goings on, etc. Even if it's just doing parallel activities, where you two are doing your own individual things in the same room and maybe cuddling throughout, he would vibe with that entirely. You reading the cards and snuggling up to him while he reads quietly? 10/10.

I feel like y'all would probably end up having game nights, at least with Bokuto, Kuroo, and Tsukki when you're visiting at training camp, lol. If you're playing video games, you can probably rope Kenma into it as well.

At first he'd be very subtle with physical affection/PDA, but once he knows where the boundaries are with you, he's probably constantly at least holding pinkies with you, if not holding hands as you walk along, and pressing little pecks to your forehead or cheek and smiling warmly at you whenever you do something he thinks is cute.

Overall he's a calmer more quiet guy, and can maybe be a bit too serious at moments, but I think he'd be a great match for you because he'd be affectionate and still enjoy experiencing life with you and having fun, while still knowing when to take things more seriously.

the attached song impressed me very much, i was inspired to remember Vincento and his biography, as well as the setting. before i start talking about OCs and settings, i want to say that for me this is more than just another story. i'm very bad at describing my emotions, especially delight, so i'm just letting you know: there's a lot of personal stuff here, from the heart.

so, i decided to place Vince's setting in the main one with hexares. these live another people from another parallel universe, not “true” humans. i haven’t thought about the location relative to the main state yet, but they are on friendly terms, although they differ greatly from each other in internal politics. the country under discussion is famous for its advanced medicine, developed military and scientific spheres, and in general, roughly speaking, strives to become an utopia. there are also a lot of disadvantages here, but more on that another time, otherwise there will again be a million letters...

even according to the old version of the plot, Vincento, after received a secondary education, was unable to find a job anywhere and therefore, voluntarily-compulsorily (let’s say, he didn’t have to be forced) was exiled to the army and after completing the training he was immediately sent to a hot spot (yes, i forgot mention that this state has tense relations with neighboring country N). there Vince did a lot for his motherland; it's a pity it couldn't thank him enough.

so here it is. Vince successfully completed many operations, but due to the disease progressing against the background of constant stress, he became almost uncontrollable and for this reason was sent home along with awards for his exploits. and, unlike previous versions of the plot, in there he was met by his still living grandfather.

i don’t know yet whether Vincento became infected with the anomaly on the battlefield from some sophisticated enemy weapon or when he was already at home, but in any case, the he was quickly taken to the research center of the main state and at the time of the current events of the setting, Vince continues to be observed by scientists and at the same time works in that office as most of my characters.

Anastasia also came from this country, but more significant changes await her in design, biography and character. now she is a pilot. like Vinny, she served, but after receiving the necessary education, she moved there, got a job as an instructor, pilot and mechanic in the same company we knew.

her look is inspired by 80s Korean women's fashion. she loves her country very much, but especially its pop culture, music, fashion, etc.

it could have turned out crumpled, but it would hardly have turned out any other way. when it comes to something that i dearly love, immediately, all the words fly out of my head.

OKAY! but AUs!? idk if you know this or if anyone knows this but I LOOOOVE AUs! I good well thought AU is so delicious! I love all the normal ones. Coffeeshop, Tattoo VS. Flowers Shop. Or any those variations are amazing to me. Specially if you have to specify that its a "modern" or "human" AU since a lot of my favs tend to be from period pieces or aren't human in general. Like taking a character and placing them so perfectly in another role that fits them just as well with hobbies or backstories that parallel the original canon? HMMM I don't have many but until I write something that tops it, imo my favorite an best work is Electro Swing Circus. I wrote it at good place in my life, during the holidays. While I was working for a retail store. An it was the last fic I wrote under those conditions. im insecure about a lot of things about my writing... i often worry that the language is boring, the characters aren't acting in character if that makes, that the dialogue sounds unnatural. i am also lowkey insecure about how "well" a fic does which is so incredibly lame but i cant help it sometimes. like all of my fics now get labeled within a day which completely kills its interaction, and then i base a lot value of my writing on how its perceived by others so its just a negative feedback loop sometimes lol :/ definitely need to work on having more intrinsic love for my craft, bc it is something i love and care about deeply <3

Meta on its own is a vague term, idk if you mean metabuild, metabattle, or lore? But I'm going to guess you mean meta event, like favorite map-wide boss event? So that's what I'm gonna answer for!

My favorite meta event is hard to pick, but as a whole I love the Big Dragon Ones. Dragons End, Dragons Stand, Dragonfall. That feeling of fighting something so much larger than just you, the way they parallel the story fights because they show the battle ongoing outside of the commander's view. They add to things so wonderfully.

And I think, out of those, my favorite is Dragons Stand because of the interesting and unique alliances seen forged between dreamers and courtiers to take down mordremoth. It went a long way in inspiring the various posts and thoughts I've made about the nightmare court, and my personal headcanons on what became of the court post-EoD. If anet drops the entire fucking sylvari plot it's mine to develop now.

I was looking for a fic about a steve rogers/ bucky barnes parallel series where both of them gets a contract girl for themselves and it I definitely dark elements. BRO we're on the same wavelength bc I literally had another post I was working on for these two about their parallels already in the works lol! 😭❤️

Ship It

1. I def ship it lmao. They may live in two different game universes with a centuries time difference between them but they're also two of the smartest people, canonically in their respective games, alive so I think they can figure that out 😂.

I think they would be able to understand each other in a way a lot of other people around them can't because unfortunately their intelligence winds up separating them from the people around them a bit and their less than stellar skills in socializing add further difficulty to that. But I think Kate and Cath are similar enough they'd be very comfortable with each other.

I also like to think they'd be just as mindblown by the other's prowess in science as people normally are by THEM and it feels like finally finding an equal in a lot of ways. I think Kath would find the ARK project an absolutely wonderful and endearing idea and Cath would be endlessly fascinated by the Pattern/liquid light phenomenon. The only hiccup I can foresee is maybe Kate getting attached to the WAU and personifying it in the way she does the Pattern which Cath would def not agree with. 😂 BUT Kate also mainly personified the Pattern bc she was lonely and sad and Stephen is a bit of a bitch so if she had Catherine that might help her feel the need to not resort to those levels of desperate companionship as much. 🤧🤧

2. My favorite things about the ship are honestly mainly that it's about two nerdy ass, science loving gals finding love in each other in the face of a world that literally shuns them for their idiosyncracies. Cath and Kate deserved so much better than they got and both of their stories end in tragedy. I've made another post a while ago talking about how it breaks my heart that Cath is murdered for finally speaking up for herself when the whole game we hear audios telling her she needs to be more assertive, and I think it is equally tragic that Kate sacrifices everything she has for an alien Pattern that likely is going to absorb her the same way it absorbed everyone else bc she incorrectly interpreted what it really wanted due to her own loneliness. Loneliness is a heavy running theme for these two and in my heart that needs to be fixed with sapphic romance lmao 🥲🥲🥲 (shoutout to the characters that WERE nice to them tho - Simon, Imogen, and Sarah for Cath and Father Jeremy and Frank for Kate 🤧)

3. Hmmm I don't know if I have any unpopular opinions on it bc I've never seen anyone else ship them so I guess the ship in and of itself is an unpopular opinion but that's probably bc more people need to play Everybody's Gone to the Rapture so they can enjoy Kate as a character! And if they've played that and not SOMA, then play SOMA, it's worth it avssgsdhdhf 🤣

Maybe bc it would take away from Cath and Imogen's relationship too? But I still love that ship just as much too, there's always room to pair characters up with everyone around imo bc its about making interesting dynamics💫 😂

🦋 I'm often insecure about being too sentimental. I feel like many times I pick the sweet and saccharine option when, if I were really trying to stretch myself, I would try to end on less peaceful or happy endings. Also, that I show rather than tell more than I should.

🤍 5 Scenes of the Forgotten Hunter + 1 Wolf Remembered relies very very heavily on ideas taken from Dracula (and Fitcher's Feathered Bird and Bluebeard but whatever). Whereas its companion piece about Raven being a werewolf drew from pretty much every werewolf text that I could think of and was very rooted in H.I.V.E. canon, Elena and Nero's backstory is open for anyone to interpret. In this 5+1 I play a lot with the idea that Dr. Nero was an AU where Jonathan Harker became a vampire, and I gave Elena both Mina and Van Helsing vibes in her vampire hunter history and her devotion to Nero. The +1 is a direct rewrite of the end of book 9, but other than that, I made up a lot of pieces. I dunno! I think in picking an AU in parallel with a book most people haven't read made this one more of a dud than I expected it to be when I was definitely in Nerd Land when I wrote it.
