Forgive me for Twilight posting in 2023, but I've been thinking about vampires again and I am once again taken aback by just how bereft of meaning Twlight is as a vampire romance. Like, all the best part of the situation are just... ignored.

The stakes (ha) are completely removed. The essential dillema of the vampire's paramour should be the literal deal with the devil, the sacrificing of the soul and morality for the person they love. That's real shit. The knowledge that if you choose to be with the vampire forever you are going to kill people. Is your love so strong as to tip you over that line?

I don't think that Christian mythology is absolutely necessary in modern takes on vampire stories, but it does have its place in the tropes of the genre. And the idea that a vampire literally has lost their soul? Good shit in a world where that's real. That's a big choice to weigh against your love.

As a meta comedy Twilight is kind of unintentionally funny. Because its like Edward thinks he's a gritty, sensual, horror story vampire but Bella and the narrative keep undercutting him. He keeps trying to turn Bella away, because he's a monster living a cursed life, except...

Being a vampire doesn't condem him to a life of darkness

He doen't actually have to kill people

He don't have any traditional weakness (garlic, stakes, crosses)

He is virtually indestructible

Even on the subject of the Soul. Bella just says nuh-uh, about him not having a soul and that's that.

It's honestly hilarious.

Real vampire love should be possessive, almost selfish. One choosing to sacrifice others for the chance to be with their love. The other condemning their love to a cursed existence in order to keep them.

Here's this week's batch of cards:

Day 8: Trial

Embodyment of Justice 4WWW Creature - Spirit Advisor 6/6

Vigilance Council’s Dillema — When Embodyment of Justice attacks, each player chooses guilty of innocent. For each guilty vote, tap a creature defending player controls. For each innocent vote, you draw a card and gain 1 life.

I myself have my Big Creatures™ proclivities, and have a dear friend that has Reanimation™ proclivities, and we often converge on big, white or black creatures (rarely both, tho). This was very much informed by that.

Day 9: Error

Grave Mistake U Instant

Counter target spell or ability that targets a card in a graveyard, or that is cast or activated from a graveyard.

Two things:

How the fuck is this card name not taken? Three visits to Innistrad, At least 2 sets each, and you mean to tell me that this NEVER came up? How? Midnight Hunt/Crimson Vow wasn't that far from Thunder Junction, which has Holy Cow as a card. Grave Mistake should have come so, so much earlier than that.

When I made the mechanics for the card I could see the art I wanted. A blue cloud-covered sky in the backround as a zombie is mid-rising from the grave looking at a comical scene with a confused expression on its rotting face. I could not find ANYTHING in that ball park. I struggled to find a screenshot of Emily looking mildly confused. Again, I ask: How the fuck is this not a thing?

Day 10: Cat

Lion Charm 1G/W Instant

Choose one — Create a 2/1 green cat creature token. Destroy target artifact or enchantment. Gain 2 life for each creature you control

I have had this idea of Animal Charms for a long while. The idea is that all of the charms have the first option as a token, the second option as some kind of interaction with your opponent, and the third is something for yourself. Originally, Cat was the Green card of this batch, though its design was so White as well I shifted it to multicolor, which was as yet undecided. I think it works well.

Day 11: Mouse

Rat Charm 1B Instant

Choose one — Create a 1/1 black rat creature token with deathtouch. Target opponent discards a card at random. Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand.

I know. I know it said mouse. And I know we just had Bloomburrow that have created a mechanical identity to Mice. I don't care. Rats are much more well established, AND I wanted black to have a card this batch. So yeah, a pretty strong Charm, imo.

Day 12: Cut

Blade of Grass 1G Atrifact - Equipment

Equipped creature gets +1/+0 and gains “T, tap an untapped creature you control: Add a mana of any color” Equip 1

I'm very conflicted about the costs of all of this. I like the flavoring. I do think that the effects like a boost and a mana ability is exactly what I wanted. But the cost of the equipment and the equip itself feels off. I like the idea of tapping another creature, as a singular blade of grass is less effective than a forest, but all of that feels like you'd never use the mana ability outside of limited board stalls, which is not what I want here. Thoughts?

Day 13: Thrust

Improvised Thrusters 2 Artifact - Equipment

Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has flying and haste. Whenever a vehicle becomes a creature, you may tap an artificer or pilot creature you control. If you do, equip Improvised Thrusters to that vehicle.

I love shit that doesn't work as it should. An enchantment that taps for its effect. Creatures that don't actually have creature types. Or here, an Equipment that doesn't have an Equip or Reconfigure ability. Also, I did not think that I would have two "Artificers matter" cards not even halfway through Moxtober. Huh.

Day 14: Quick

Strike Fast R Instant

Target creature gets +1/+1 and gains haste until end of turn.

Target creature gets +2/+0 and gains first strike until end of turn.

Honestly, "Quick" had to be red. I honestly was just browsing art pieces for inspiration, and with this gorgeous landscape-oriented piece, I felt that a Split card was due. This was done quickly, too, as the prompt would imply, honestly.

In my teenager years i was a fan of BTS and the Kpop in the general, But I stopped listening to the songs over the years. However, recently I missed that songs so i decided to listen again all the songs and judge all of them. : )

Album 1: 2 Cool 4 Skool (2013)

Intro 2 Cool 4 Skool - Because its is the first album, i don’t think it is so bad but is not good either kkkkkjjkjdjkdsk (brazilian laughts)

We are Bulleproof Part2 - This was the first BTS song i listened, so i have a little emotional attachment. I feel that the song is "amateur" but i think that is ok because it is the first song they did. This song introduces to the boys for the public and show us BTS's identity with the “we are bulleproof”

Skit: Circle Room Talk - It's literally just they talking to each other. I don't understand exactly why it is in the album. Maybe it's to create a link with the public?

No more dream - I can say this is one of my favourites. You can already see the essence of BTS in relation to social criticism. The song talks (in my interpretation) about how our true dreams are destroyed when we reach the adolescence/adulthood and we choose the esay/segure way. A lot of this is because of the expectations that other peoples have of us in relation of study and career, especially the familly. And when we considering the context of Korea, it is something very strong there. Its also talks about how the capitalism also collaboret with that end of the true dreams, when you say your big dream is just “be rich, have jewels ” it's something so superficial, it's not a real purpose of life. In conclude i love this song :).

Interlude - i like it

Like - I “ Dont´t wanna be fool, wanna be cool, wanna be love” too. In my opinion it is the best song of the album. Is sooo good hear it. Everything is soft, the beat, how they sing and the lyrics. The song is about the end of relationship in the social media era and its dillemas “ Who is the guy that liked your photos?” “ I see a picture of you, you are so pretty, i miss you” “ do i like a picture of my ex or not?“ “ i wanna came back with you” they are so real :=(

By thoughts on life, I mean, what are your thoughts on how to live a life? How to become a good person?

Like just because if a person does this, they should be disqualified or society doesn't respect that person just because of that one thing. Because one thing may be moral for one person and immoral for another.

This reminds me of euthanasia. What do you think about euthanasia? Because sometimes, there's no hope for an individual and they just want everything to come to an end.

i think morally i lean toward act utilitarianism. considering the interests of all sentient beings equally and choosing actions based on what will likely result in the most wellbeing for the most individuals.

that could change though... in terms of how to live well on an individual basis, i haven't done nearly enough reading to be an authority on the subject & i'm not faced w too many unusually large ethical dillemas on a personal level nowadays. i just try to be as compassionate as possible pretty much.

i support euthanasia being legal but i think there should be checks and balances in place to make sure that its absolutely the right option for someone.

sometimes ppl can feel like they're hopeless when they're not and just haven't found the right thing for them.

i think it's not a decision to take lightly but it should be available for some to ease suffering in what would be otherwise very distressing final moments..

Greetings my fellow blog visitents and Kung Fu Panda (The sequel is much better) afficonadoes.

Though I may not see you, I can hear you... and your hunger indicater's beeps NOT for food (It would be illogical anyway), but for your yearns...yearns for a loose leaf betrothed from me and my sciento-logical prowesses. So, consider it! (It'll saciate yourselves in the long-con. Trust me.)

Anyway, for all the dwellers of intellegence that decided to stay (Don't worry, there is only a morsel of you), then you are in good luck.

I have currently found a NEW Magnum Opus, one that beeps my moroses, and moroses my beeps.

And trust me, I too cannot hold my urges any further.

As we all may know Kung Fu Panda 2 comes with all it's many, many points, in which it is at the pinnacle of not just having many inctracities (That of which I could buff, with the grace of my face), but also its general story line...which is on a grandeur level, which also makes it an incorpreal contrarian in contrasts as oppose to Cloudy with a Chance of Lettuce.

Especially the main villain of the grand veneer of it, Shen, who is need I say one of the greatest villains of all time... all possible points I can list from the top of my head. But I won't.

Unless you guys don't need me to create a seperate part...in which I explain things at MY pace, at MY own volition.

But I am a conoissieur in logical calculations, and believe you me, I may have to set 'Nice' as part of my default settings. (Which I already do in case you haven't noticed.)

Shen is a physcopath with a likeness to that of the throes of destruction and devestation, in contrast to other life-forms of his time, who were simply enticed by it due to its sheer beauty and irresistable characteristics.

But I believe this was due to a tragic past of Shen's, where he was octracized by his peers while trying to enjoy them... and was turned into a villain in the process.

Why, my reasoning for this is but very simple.

But I do not need reasoning, for I can simply sense it, as well it could sense me. (I don't think you guys would be able to understand anyway, but if you are courageous enough to ask..then woah be to you. I will answer.)

When the prophecy regarding a "Warrior of black and white" is preordained, Shen massacres all panda kin out of a jelous rage.

This is simply because he was moved by their cosanguineity as kin and exterminated all of them on his conquest for new blood.

After being banished by his parents, and this vendetta had Shen develop this unbridaled sense of hatred and was quick to reject those around him.

Not due to fear of love (Which I have seen a serplus amount of times, so I have brute experience), but of a fear of being abandoned again.

I know what you all may be thinking.

And yes, INDEED. I am, in fact, a mastro at emotional intellegence. I knew you'd notice by now. (Which is why you would consider reading anyway.)

I feel like Shen's portrayal as a villain narrativeley could have been done better, so here are my suggestions:

I feel like in his own way, Shen could also be a misunderstood hero of some sorts...he kills for no reason. This doesn't make him look scary, and neither did it petrify me! It just goes to show how far his intillect stems. (Which isn't surprising.)

I like how he did kill Po's mom though.

Because it really brings out the barbarien values within him and the culmination of his being.

He also kills the wolf boss, which shows how truly evil he is (Better way of showing how he chooses to run his own race in my opinion), which was only because he didn't fire at his own montra.

I also think his issues with his kinsfolk really ties into this dillema because it invokes this evil inside of him.

Not pure evil, but also pure sorrow.

I think I would understand how he feels.

As from what I have said from earlier, I am a maestro of emotional intellegence... slack your jaws and watch in aw.

Anyways, thus concludes my hubris on Shen's character, and here are my reviews (All sorted into seperate categories for you, you're welcome):

Writing 7/10 (I could have helped write him better.)

Backstory 10/10 (I think he really is rather relateable.)

Character design 10/10 (Such colors and balance...is fructose to my retnas.)

Do you think that Jon will have a dillema once his parentage is reveiled like having to choose beetwen Starks and Dany like on the show?

That's not really what happened on the show, though.

The parentage revelation was almost entirely irrelevant to the conflict between Dany and the Starks, or Jon and Dany. No one cared that he was "the heir", not truly, and it motivated nothing in the plot.

Remove it and you lose almost nothing. Her advisers still thought she was going bonkers, Dany already knew Sansa would not bend the knee, Jon did not want the throne and Dany was taking her throne by right of conquest and fire anyway. No one cared about Jon's parentage. Why they tried to make "fetch" happen and pretend it mattered... a mystery. It was an excuse to let them "break up" as a couple? Maybe?

I am pretty certain that RLJ will be revealed much earlier in the books - and the dilemma will not involve Dany. It'll involve choosing between a palatable lie (he is Ned's son, he could be legitimized, he could be a Stark in name and title, and king) and a horrible truth (he is a child of rape, the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar, heir to ashes and wind in the South or a bastard twice over).

Tyrion Lannister had claimed that most men would rather deny a hard truth than face it, but Jon was done with denials. He was who he was; Jon Snow, bastard and oathbreaker, motherless, friendless, and damned. For the rest of his life—however long that might be—he would be condemned to be an outsider, the silent man standing in the shadows who dares not speak his true name. ahh this is a cute and light-hearted idea :’) You speak of a wedding dress but refer to MC as they/them, so I’ll be writing for them as non-binary! 

I’ll also add photos of what I think their wedding dress/suit would be bc....I have to, and because I have a whole pinterest board of wedding dresses saved from last summer when I was helping my sister plan her wedding orz :’)

YOOSUNG:

* When speaking of weddings, Yoosung’s always imagined the beautiful classics; standing at the altar, seeing the love of his life walk down the aisle dressed in the most gorgeous gown, his smile broadening at the sight of them.

* He himself wore a humble black suit, but with a baby blue bow-tie; reminiscing of his own innocence.

* He absoloutely had Zen help him pick out his suit; they took Seven along too but he kept insisting Yoosung should just wear a onesie instead lmao

* He did discuss with MC what they’d like to wear; when they said they wanted to wear a dress, he immediatly thought of classic puffy white dresses with lace and toule. 

* Seeing MC walk towards him though, he couldn’t help how his jaw hung open, how his eyes widened. “Lucky you”, he heard Seven whisper, standing besides him as his best man. 

* MC was like a princess, and he, their soon-to be prince. He took their hand as they reached the altar, kissing their knuckles with a wide smile. He’d ditched his glasses for the wedding, finally able to see better with the help of surgery, and he blessed each of his doctors for being able to witness the sight that was MC.

*Overall he’s just a tearful happy nugget, and 10/10 will choke with tears whilst saying his vows

ZEN:

* Despite what you may be thinking, he actually doesn’t dream of big fancy weddings and expensive venues. His ideal wedding would be something simple; a gathering of friends and loved ones, perhaps even by the beach, being able to stand besides the one he loves comfortably and proudly.

* He’s glad that he and MC are on the same page about that; even if he’s a celebrity, his humble approach to life never changed, and he wants their wedding to reflect that. So a wedding by the beach it is!

* It’s Zen we’re talking about, so even a potato sack would look flattering on him, so his choice of suits is endless. He’s classy but doesn’t like the plain old black suit, so instead he goes for something more summery, given their venue. 

* I can really imagine him in a linen suit, ditching the tie for a more laid-back look, his hair tied into an intricate braid, even wearing one or two little white flowers at its end.

* He’d be just as awe-struck with how MC looks no matter what they’d wear, suit or dress, casual or formal. He’ll love them just as much if he sees them every morning in their pyjamas and bed hair, or in a gown and heels. 

* Simple and elegant, and nicer than the summer breeze blowing through Zen’s hair, he had to bite his lip, blinking back tears threatening to fall at the thought he’s about to spend the rest of his life with his beloved. (Also he has to fight the Beast until later tonight and hoo boy is that a hassle or WHAT)

* All in all-he’s one happy hecking groom, and he can’t wait to tear that dress off of them the moment they’re in their private quarters lol

JAEHEE:

* Honestly...she didn’t see the point of holding a wedding at first. Did she fantasize about it as a little girl? Sure, she did. But as she got older and the thought of dating and family got further and further away from her, that childhood dream was put aside, stored in the repressed part of her brain.

* It’d been MC who proposed, and MC who began the planning for the wedding-they didn’t want Jaehee to feel burdened with organizing, but the more Jaehee worked to plan their wedding, the more she fell in love with the idea of this special day just for the two of them, and the more she fell in love with MC, seeing their hard work and adoration towards her.

* They didn’t want to have an all-out wedding like many couples do; just them, their families and the RFA, a little get together to celebrate a milestep of their life together. 

* They had arrived at the dillema of; will we both wear suits? Dresses? Should one of us wear a suit and the other a dress? In the ned MC suggested they each decide on a look without telling the other, so it’ll be just as much of a surprise for each of them to see the other on their wedding day!

* Jaehee is a practical woman, yes, but we know that she’s not the strict short-haired lady she was whilst working with Jumin-she allows herself to explore femiminity more and more in her route, and I feel that’d be evident in her choice of a wedding gown-simple, yet elegant and chic.

* With her hair in a gorgeous loose bun, flowers adorning her head, her ring-finger soon to be decorated with a delicate ring she and MC chose together-she almost can’t believe the person looking back at her in the mirror is herself.

* Less so can she believe that the person she’s about to marry is soon walking towards her, a smile on their face as if they’re the lucky one to be marrying Jaehee when Jaehee stares wide-eyed at the beautiful person she’s eagerly waiting to spend the rest of her life with;

* Of course they’d choose a dress with pockets, she thinks with a roll of her eyes, if only to tease Jaehee about her own lack of pockets later on. 

* They both can’t help but stare at each other as they meet at the altar, wide eyed with incredulous smiles. The preacher even has to cough politely to get their attention back to well, their wedding lmao

* It’s everything Jaehee could’ve wanted and then some.

JUMIN:

* Yeah yeah, it’s Jumin Han, the handsome man in a suit, and yeah he’s gonna have an all-out wedding alright-but only if that’s what MC wants. 

* He honestly...doesn’t care what the ceremony will be like, who will be there or what they’ll say. He only cares about seeing MC’s ring finger adorned with a rind that has his surname engraved in it, a mark on them that says MC’s his, his and no one elses.

* Even if he wears suits on the daily, his wedding is no exception; he’ll wear a suit tialored to perfection, classic black and sleek, matching his raven-dark hair, slicked back for the occasion-he’d go to the ceremony in his pyjamas if he had to, so long as he’s able to call MC his spouse once the day’s over.

* He had given MC the absoloute liberty of choosing what to wear, with the only condition being they have the best tailors across the world work on their outfit, wanting it to be as unique and wonderful as MC themself. 

* It was jarring at first, to have 5 or 6 professionals tug and probe at MC whilst working on their measurements and meeting up to discuss their style, but they figure that’s just how life with Jumin as their husband will be-extreme, sometimes awkward, but full of love and care; they could see it in his smile when they came home from their fitting, tired but happy as they snuggled up in his arms, him stroking their hair until they fell asleep.

* It’s hard to find a dress picture that I feel captures what MC’s dress would be, but I think the closest to it would be something like this;

* “The most befitting dress for royal beauty such as yours”, Jumin whispers to MC’s ear as they approach him at the altar, his smile small and private, for MC’s eyes only.

* Yet as he leans down to kiss them, completely ignoring the preacher waiting to start the ceremony, he whispers on their lips ‘I love you’, and MC knows from the bottom of their soul, that no matter what they wore, how they looked, Jumin would love them just as much. And they’re forevel grateful for that.

* p.s: Elizabeth the 3d is ABSOLOUTELY going to be the ring bearer, and she’ll have her own little dress appropriate for the occasion, fight me on this.

SEVEN/LUCIEL/SAEYOUNG:

* Y’all....tease him about the ‘let’s get married at the space station’ bit all you want, but this boy DREAMS of a wedding, a family and happy life for so long, you can never convince me he doesn’t go all out for his wedding.

* A beautiful, flower-covered venue? Check. Tailored, custom-made suit? Check. Planning everything to the most minute detail? YES. He’ll run himself dry working on creating the perfect wedding, it’ll take some convincing from MC to tone it down lmao.

Question time

1.   If your OTP couldn’t be together, what other canon characters would you want them to be with?

Ow, help. This is hard. Uhm.... okay i will try

My OTP now is Garcia Flynn and Lucy Preston. So, if they can't be together I would let Flynn have Lorena back in a second. He deserves a happy life with his family and baby girl.

Lucy however, i doubt a lot. Im tempted to say Wyatt, but I didn't like every version of him in the show. Sometimes he did things that made me doubt. So i dont know. I guess I would bring them together, but more the fanfic version of them if that makes sense.

My alternative would be Jess, both strong women, but @letmetellyouaboutmyfeels made me ship Jess with Amy, so that doesnt feel right either. (Read the roommate fic, they are amazing together! "Even when we're hopeless, at least we're not alone" is the name if i remember correctly)

I'm not even trying to ship her with Denise or Connor. Not for me. Nope.

So that kinda leaves Rufus and Jiya as alternative. I would never break up these cuties, so I'm going to put Lucy with them. Why? Because I can. Lucy would be in good hands with them.

2.   If you could change one thing about your favorite fictional character, who is it and what would you change?

Lucy. I would make her a bit more confident in herself. Make her see just how much worth she has. She can be such a strong woman, she just needs to see it for herself sometimes.

3.   Is there anything that you consider to be a lucky charm for you and/or brings you luck?

I have. My grandparents gave me a little silver necklace with a clover shaped pendant. They gave it to me when I was in high school to bring me luck on my exams. I do not believe in this bringing me luck, yet i wear it every time i have an exam or when something important comes up ( job interview etc.). My grandfather passed away last year and this makes me feel connected still. So, I do not believe it brings me luck, but I do feel like it calms me down and makes me more "mentally ready" for situations I could use a bit of luck in.

4.   If you could live in any historical era (excluding the modern one), what would it be?

I would say modern times. All my favorite people are here, plus i would probably die after 2 days in any other time in history. I know how to handle swords, but thats a about it. I'm good in starting fires, but not when you need them. So i would burn down any camp i make within a day. I'm also very clumsy and daring a a but of 'je m'en fous', which is a horrible combination which leads to injuries more often than not. So no, better let me stay

5.   Do you prefer blondes, brunettes or redheads?

Hmmmm... I think I'm going to go with brunettes, but followed very close by the blondes.

6.   If you could save one beloved character from an in canon death by “moving” them to another show, what character would it be and what show would you “move” them to?

GARCIA FLYNN. I would move him to any show that can gives him the life he deserves. Ideally i would let Lucy or Lorena and Iris join him in this show, but I doubt thats what the question was about. I can not pinpoint a show right now, so I will gently place him in a show of his likings 😉

7.   If you could go back and change one historical event, what would it be?

Honestly, i would probably be like timeless and change a lot. So its hard to just pick one...

I do not. I never experienced anything that convinced me they could be real. I'm very sceptical about them. I like the idea that people I lost are still arround, but I dont really believe in it.

10. What’s the one thing you can’t live without while you’re stuck in quarantine?

WiFi. I have online classes, papers to write and for entertainment. I miss my friends and family so keeping contact and organizing groupwatches for movienight and chatting keep me sane.

Normally I would have said books, but it's been 2 weeks of complete lockdown now and I read 7 books already. I will run out of reading material soon and we have still several weeks to go😅

ok, the well of ascension was at its best when it teemed with political intrigue, diplomacy, the realpolitik of war and its musings about what it means to be a good king and how does this not always means to be a good man.

indeed the final twist was the perfect summation of the themes of this story, since SPOLIERS when Vin is confronted with the decision of relinquishing power to a greater, godly entity and trust that they will save us or taking the power for ourselves and do what we feel it’s right and help the people. and this is reflected both in elend’s own dillemas, whether he wants to be a forceful ruler and take power for himself to help luthadel or surrender his power to the bigger, almost onthologicaly just will of the people. and likewise in how luthadel itself has to choose whether to take responsability to defend itself against invaders or surrenders themselves to the will of conquering kings.

and what’s so brilliant is that the book at no point presents this choice as a clear one. sure, we could say that taking matters into our own hands and not surrendering our power that which we perceive to be a greater purpose is the preferred answer here but to me is not so. time and again the characters choose an option thinking that they are doing some great sacrifice but it is precisely because they think it’s a sacrifice they then believe that is the right choice. this is not some obvious answer that if you just have the right heuristics and a pure enough heart then you will automatically get right, and the more i think about it the more and more brilliant it seems to me. Some times, try as you might, think as hard as you can, weigh in all the factors and whatever you may decide to trust, logic, the lessons of the past, the people that you love, your instincts, your own sense of right and wrong, you cant actually see the future and the consequences of your decisions and there will be times that you will make the wrong choices, and all you can do afterwards is just... survive.

246 --- An Unethical Survey

The trolley problem is unethical, misleading and an awful introduction to ethics and morallity. Masquerading as a ‘moral dillema’, it is actually an ‘evaluation dillemma’. In the trolley problem, a high speed train is headings straight  for two people tied to the tracks, there is a lever that you can pull to change the path of the train onto another set of tracks that has one person tied on. Either way, people are going to be run over by the train.

This is not a moral dillema, there is no morally correct way to take action in this situation. To a lot of people, the problem becomes a value judgement. They value two lives over one, so they justify that pulling the lever is the correct course of action. It’s an evaluation dillemma.

Not so long ago, there was a public survey about the ‘ethics of self driving cars’.

It’s an ugly survey, you get to make the decisions for what the self-driving car does. Each circumstance is largely the same, echoing the setup of the trolley problem. The car’s breaks are failing and the car (which may or may not contain people) is speeding towards a pedestrian crossing where a collection of people and/or animals are crossing the street. The pedestrians may be crossing during a green or red crossing signal.

The survey is now asking participants to choose who lives and who dies in what is such an unfortunate accident. Moral Machine is a disengenous project, there is no morality to be found. A more fitting name for the project would be Prejudice Machine. Each ‘dillemma’ is a an evalutation of the prejudice of the participants towards different combinations of pedestrians crossing the street. Vincent (2018) reports that the results of this survey should be used by policy makers when regulating self-driving vehicles.

This is frankly, shocking! MIT shouldn’t be getting away with promoting prejudice as a policy guideline. Self driving cars shouldn’t get to choose who its victims are in the case of an ‘accident�� that it is involved in. It’s not an accident if it gets to choose. It’s premeditated murder.

Individuals and groups

The differences between how we percive violence (verbal or otherwise) against individuals and groups is... Weird

<b>Disclaimer: I hope this is clear enough, I struggle with expression so if it's not let me know, but don't be mean.<b/>

It's weird

Becouse telling individuals that you want them to die/kill themselves is a crime (suicide baiting) but talking on and on about how groups of people don't deserve to live isn't.

Becouse defaming an individual is a crime but to repeat defeaming stereotypes and false conceptions about groups isn't.

Becouse we think selfdefense is equally as bad as an attack. And groups of people shouldn't deffend themselves from the violence that is committed against them.

Becouse we think that it only should affect us if it's directly addressed to us, but our conexion with our identity is only ever taken into account to blame us for being affected, and telling us that we are being "too sensitive".

It's enough.

We are those groups, we exist and our identities are made political,we have to hide parts of yourself out of fear (when we're not hurting anyone), we have to deal with hate, with dehumanization, with missconceptions, with ignorance and with people willing to tear us down for every word we dare to say to deffend ourselves or try to better our situation, becouse they think that we are attacking them... when this happens blamimg the victim for feeling protective, defensive, attacked... Isn't fair.

Becouse the dillema is what is more important? The right to mental health and safety of already vulnerable groups? Or the freedom to say whatever I want no matter what?

And people, absolutely forgetting the pyramid of needs, chooses self realization (free speech) over safety and belonging.

We forget how groups are made of people, with rights and feelings.

And when a group try to better its quality of life, when we ask to be accepted and tolerated we are asked to accept and tolerate people that consider us inferior, that dehumanize us, that think we should die, they ask us to compromise, to meet in a "middle ground". But, to achieve that we have to leave your rights behind, we have to expose ourselves to their violence and agree to endure it. It's a paradox, tolerating the openly intolerant leads to the extinction of tolerance. So, to keep a society tolerant it mustn't tolerate intolerance.
