BACKGROUND

He comes from a fairly normal family. He is the oldest of two children, the younger brother currently specializing in physics. He is not on speaking terms with his family for various resons, such as dropping out of high school to pursue fighting, instead of gtoing to uni and becoming a lawyer like his parents wanted. He is quite the contrarian when he wants. The Karate instructor mentioned underground fighting when public fighting was becoming, in Shouji's words, "too boring and too formal". He is currently employed as a contractor by Yamashita Trading as a fighter for the Kengan Association. He has not yet been in an official tournament, but he has so far raked up 10 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws. BTW he likes wearing shoes better, but he will take them off for matches. He absolutely is a weeb and will be found a lot of the times reading Jump.

I have decided to give a description for each Shinsengumi member I've come across. It came out of a desire to not let these members to go down as nameless persons in fandom. Those who have studied the Shinsengumi would surely know the charter members, the commanders, vice-commander and Captains of this police group as they have been a topic of various films, drama, novels, manga, anime etc. They are included here as well, along with those whom most of you haven't heard before.

As some of us know these men did not formally start out as the Shinsengumi nor did they end in that name. Most accept that the Shinsengumi started with a group of men breaking up from the Roshigumi that was ill-formed by Kiyokawa Hachiro. They will not be given the name "Shinsengumi" (Newly Selected Group) and will be known instead as "Miburoshi" (their headquarters was in Mibu village in the Yagi and Maekawa residence) until they have proven themselves worthy enough to be acknowledged by the Kyoto Protector, Matsudaira Katamori, Daimyo of Aizu and be officially sanctioned as a police force for the Bakufu. They will not retain the name however, using instead the Koyou Chibuntai (Pacification Corps) during their decline and inevitable end, at least in history.

Serie animata tratta dal manga “Nami yo Kiite Kure” (conosciuto da noi come Born to Be on Air! grazie all’edizione Star Comics) firmato da Hiroaki Samura, l’autore de “L’Immortale”.

L’anime è diretto da Tatsuma Minamikawa (Fairy Tail Movie: Dragon Cry) presso lo studio Sunrise (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, ClassicaLoid). La sceneggiatura sta venendo curata da Shouji Yonemura (Kiseijuu), mentre al character design troviamo Takumi Yokota (Mitsuboshi Colors, Pupipo!). La colona sonora è invece composta da Motoyoshi Iwasaki (Sora no Otoshimono)

Il palcoscenico è Sapporo. Una notte, Minare Koda, racconta tutti i suoi  problemi ad un impiegato della stazione radio durante una bevuta. Il giorno seguente, sente una registrazione del suo pietoso brontolio mentre viene trasmessa in diretta radiofonica. Minare si precipita alla stazione in preda alla rabbia, solo per poi essere ingannata dal direttore della stazione che la sfrutta per fare un talk show improvvisato!

Listen to the differences between Taishi Murata’s characters. His range never ceases to amaze... the only English voice actors with similar ranges (that I know of) are Ben Diskin and Sean Chiplock. 3. On the female side, Umeka Shouji has a surprisingly large range. I’ve mostly heard her play deeper-voiced roles, and then Corona shows up... 4. I love Hiro Shimono’s evil laugh. He doesn’t go all out with Loki, but he sounds like an insane seagull when he does. 5. As a mythology fangirl, I’m a little annoyed by all the changes. Frey, Mani and Vali are supposed to be male; Skuld is supposed to be a Norn (with Verdandi and Urd); Hel, Fenrir and Jormungand are supposed to be Loki and Angrboda’s kids; Idun is supposed to be Bragi’s wife; Thrud is supposed to be Thor’s daughter and Magni and Modi his sons. I’ll update this “lore correction” once I find more characters.
