Italians have this weird cult of carbonara. Americans have a veneration for aged hard cheese. In both cases, if you *dare* to say that you don't like carbonara or that pecorino tastes bad they will get mad at you: they will try to gaslight you, saying that's not true, that your personal tastes doesn't matter, because they are right, carbonara and pecorino are delicious and you... you just didn't taste the *right* version of the receipt. No, dear, Piercoso and Bob Lee, I don't like both carbonara and aged hard cheese, because i found them absolutely disgusting.

This Crockpot Chicken Zucchini Parmesan recipe is a tasty take on a traditional Italian dish, and it only takes a few minutes of work to make a tasty meal. The slow cooker adds savory marinara sauce and cheesy goodness to the chicken and zucchini, making them tender and melt-in-your-mouth perfect.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 2 cups marinara sauce. 2 medium zucchinis, sliced. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Place half of the marinara sauce in the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer seasoned chicken breasts on top of the sauce. Arrange sliced zucchinis over the chicken. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the zucchinis. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until chicken is cooked through. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the chicken and zucchini during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Once cheese is melted and bubbly, serve hot.
Prep Time: 15 minutes

The flavors of a traditional Caprese salad are mixed with creamy, cheesy macaroni in this Caprese mac and cheese. This is a tasty and comforting take on a well-known dish.
Ingredients: 8 oz macaroni pasta. 2 tbsp butter. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 cups milk. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved. 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, drain, and set aside. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix until well combined. Fold in the cherry tomatoes and chopped basil. With this one-of-a-kind sushi recipe, you can enjoy a mix of Italian and Japanese flavors. Traditional sushi rolls are made even better with fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil, and a balsamic glaze that tastes like Italy.
Ingredients: 2 cups sushi rice. 4 nori seaweed sheets. 200g fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced. 100g cherry tomatoes, halved. 50g basil leaves. 1 avocado, sliced. 2 tbsp balsamic glaze. Soy sauce, for serving.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the sushi rice, then let it cool. Put a nori sheet on top of a bamboo sushi mat that has been laid out flat. Leave an inch of space at the top of the nori sheet and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over it. Cheese slices, cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, and avocado should all be placed in the middle of the rice. Add the balsamic glaze on top of the filling. Use the bamboo mat to roll the sushi up tightly, and use a little water to seal the edge. Use a sharp knife to cut the sushi roll into 8 pieces. Do it again with the rest of the nori sheets and ingredients. Serve the sushi that looks like it came from Italy with soy sauce on the side.
