I know it's kinda dumb saying this after I deleted my old blog, but if there were any fics you guys particularly liked that you wanted continuations of, please just let me know. Each one of my fics, even the shorter ones, have a lot of lore saved up in my brain. Even if I apologize that the fics weren't the best, I still do feel fondly toward each one. Tbh if I'm able to make you guys happy, I'm happy.

On that note, I know this may be hard to believe, but I AM planning on getting all my fics up on Ao3. I just.... don't spend much time on Ao3 and have a hard time understanding how to tag things (sue me I was raised with fanfiction.net). Tbh I wanted to upload all of my short fics under one the "Reader/Various" tag without anything else, but my friends told me, "absolutely not" and put a quick stop to that. So instead I'm being forced asked to upload everything separately into their own individual works.

I'm not sure if any of you guys would be interested, but if you're acquainted with tagging on Ao3, would any of you guys be interested in helping me? No pressure or anything. You'll get access to all the works I put up on my previous blog. And there wouldn't be a time limit either. Hell, you can just do the fics you want me to upload and nothing else. LOL I just thought I'd ask. If I get no help (which is totally fine), it'll just.... take a bit to get me to get everything up haha... when I stop being lazy.

ingellvar must have so many strange off-putting little personal habits in their day to day life that they don't even realize come across as weird, especially if they haven't ever dated outside of the watchers much. in rye's specific case I think lucanis has a capacity for such immaculate 'sure my life is already so fucking weird this might as well happen' energy that I believe he'd be able to roll with the punches admirably given the time, but it really would be a situation like

(what was going on there was that rook was placing down some experimental wards, by the way, it's what he does to calm down before bed and if he wakes during the night. what with the necropolis itself being a liminal space of lf sorts on a cosmic scale, watchers take the additional liminal space between wakefulness and dreaming extremely seriously b/c they know there are things drifting through that would just love to get their foot/tentacle/conceptual spores in that particular half-ajar door that should not be allowed inside. or outside, I suppose, depending on your point of view. rook and lucanis are also experimenting with whether solid wards can help any with lucanis' weird post-spite dreams even if they can't do anything for the more mundane ptsd ones. third reason because in my worldstate they still live in the lighthouse after the game: unless gently dissuaded wisps will sometimes drift by while you're asleep and hover over your face curiously as they sense your mind doing stuff in the fade, and no one likes waking up on an eldritch sneeze with a well-meaning yet terrified wisp zooming about the room. important watcher novice 101 lessons.

I might possibly have managed to swing it so I can focus my thesis partially on TMNT...

The main angle of my thesis is about representation of minority identities (I'm focusing largely on neurodiversity and possibly also queer identities, as these are relevant to me) in comics, and connection between audiences and characters in comics and comic-related media.

I'm thinking of maybe including some discussion of how people in minority groups feel about non-human characters representing them too.

If anybody has any recommendations on documentaries, podcasts, articles, books etc. that might be helpful, please let me know! I'm also on the lookout for any blog posts, forum discussions, social media posts etc. that discuss the above topics, so if you know of anything that you think might be relevant I'd be so grateful if you could give me a shout!

At the moment personally I'm interested especially in discussions about the characters themselves being portrayed as neurodiverse. I know 2012 Mikey was 'confirmed' ADHD on the Nick website back in the day and Rise Donnie was intended to be autistic according to one of the show runners (I need to re-find those references!) but if you've seen (or written!) any deep-dives about any of the characters being potentially neurodiverse that you'd like to share, please please do send me a link or tag me (either @turtle--soup or @hexagonal-nuts) in a reblog!

Also on a less TMNT related side note: if you have any recommendations of comics - especially indie comics - which feature neurodiverse and/or queer characters which you think are worth looking into, I'd love to hear about them too!

The streets are half-familiar now, as Gu Yiran walks backward down the path he’d run each day to work. Here is the intersection where the pedestrian light never seems to come on, and Gu Yiran glances quickly both ways and crosses against a red light. Down that street is the corner of the park where if Gu Yiran cranes his head to look in the mornings, he can see the elderly folks of the neighborhood gathering for tai chi. And this shop he’s walking past, closed now, is the one Zheng Bei had taken him to buy a jacket at, the first weekend after he arrived. Gu Yiran had only worn that jacket for a few weeks before the weather changed. He’s not sure if he’ll ever have much use for it in Huazhou, heavy as it is.

So like, how does one draw TFA Sentinel’s chin if they’re trying to make him in human form? Because you know, he’s got that giant chin

And I don’t mean like in a super stylized cartoony way like the Fairly Odd Parents or anything. I want to say in a more realistic style? That’s not what I would draw, but honestly no I am curious how you draw him in a more realistic style actually, because he’s supposed to have that comically large chin

yeah but at least jason has a chance to say something about it. it doesn't happen most of the time because they're shooting to appease fanon fans who don't respect jason either, but sometimes (task force z, recently) we get jason telling bruce he was a hero despite whatever he wants to think. at least jason could potentially have his own stories that don't have to be told through the narrative bruce and co have spun for him. lost days is a good example of that. at least he can exist as more than an unsalvageable cautionary tale. so it's not really about how other people treat him, but about him being able to tell his own stories and have a voice outside of what bruce and co twist him into saying and being.
