These gods really seem to get along well...they're not JUST a couple, they're THE couple that represents and blesses happy marriages, that is something.

Mendake Shrine stands on Mt. Mendake, which stands on the opposite side of a dam, across from Mt. Ondake that houses Ondake Shrine. and oh, come on... Ai is definitely that shinto god of entertainment who's also the goddess of love and marriage

she has a husband who really loves her who is the god of light, we have another literal shinto god Tsukuyomi saying there are other gods, listing out a few with one being the one that loves people, and states that she's become a star

what else is she supposed to be?

this means; If I were to be more familiar with the Shinto gods and Japanese myths I'd have been able to find out just what kind of relationship Ai would have had with her boyfriend, they're so based off of these gods and I think Hikaru's a literal god in that sense if not them both being such an entity because what's up with the star eyes and reincarnations and missions from the gods and all huh?? and their shrine appeared in the plot and characters made wishes to gods and Tsukuyomi's said the protagonists have gods helping them!! Their parents are gods!!! they've been helping out their children through the eyes!!!!

I feel like I get everything but this comic makes me feel like an idiot at the same time because it makes me feel like I'm insisting on nonsense, but I AM NOT!! It's really what's there in the story and the songs and I'm only pointing out what's already there!!!!!

to be fair to myself i kinda do, i've just been extremely fatigued recently and since i don't have a routine or anything that would force me out of bed this results in me sleeping for 15 hours straight. but i still stay awake for close to the regular 16 hours, so my bedtime just gets pushed further and further back
