i've had a stuffy nose and a headache for a week now what is happening

#it's too early in the year for colds #i NEVER get sick. like maybe once a year or every other year tops #and when i do i feel better after like 4 days #i don't FEEL sick but i don't feel normal ykwim??#i took 3 covid tests and they all came back negative so it's not covid at least #if i do get colds it's usually not until november or december #i've had the last 4 days off work and i've been sleeping more and taking care of myself so idk why i'm not feeling any better #i really don't need this on top of everything else going on this week #amori rambles

I kinda wanna make freebies/friendship bracelets for TDS3 but the thing is…. I’m shy lol so I don’t think I’d be able to just go up to people and ask if they want any so I’d be left with a bunch after the concert

#I’m also going to see Niall Horan in a week and I don’t know if people are doing bracelets for him but I think that would be fun too #and I have a bunch of ideas for the dreamies (and a lot longer to make them)#I also feel like I’d have to be at the venue pretty early to like do some meet up things and I don’t know if that will be too possible #because for tds I’m gonna be driving to Chicago that day and I’ll have to get to my hotel and get ready still #I’m just hoping it’s gonna be warmer than when I saw them in April last year because it was cold

#got rained out and couldn’t stay long I was sad #goin back wednesday or thurs though #should volunteer there basically live in there anyway #all seasons #in the winter less because they close too early and I'm like a chihuahua in the cold #the early dark days and cold isn’t my jam #but still went a few times to try and catch snow but didn't #I never get bored of seeing it like I could go everyday and still get that ! feeling when pulling in #gives me crazy peace and even if I'm not taking pictures it's the best place to walk and talk #we go there just to walk sometimes #anyways I love her #my spot #have to catch a moonrise from the tower this year #it’s tricky to do #mount auburn #cambridge #cemetery #mine

oh yeah and also, I'm pretty sure all of my houseplants are dead. for some reason someone decided that outside would be a good place to store them. they've been there all of February and March. I saw them like a month ago but it stressed me out so much that I think I tried to forget about it. every time I see them now I feel like shit :)

#I've had some of these plants for a long time #like my snake plant. I got that one for my 20th birthday from someone I haven't talked to since I was 21 #that plant is 12 years old and it got huge and everything #I haven't checked. I just saw the cardboard box and some of the plants and immediately stopped paying attention because it made me too sad #I killed them :(#all of them :(#there were quite a few #maybe a few of them survived. I don't know #like that snake plant - I thought it was a fake plant for the first like 3 or 4 years I had it (it was my first plant that wasn't a cactus)#so I didn't water it once in that time #and it was completely fine #but it was still quite cold in early February. so. it's probably dead. I don't really want to find out 😭#personal

the steadily worsening climate change seasonal creep is having the same psychological effect on me as christmas creep, which is to say that I now have a reflexive negative emotional response to signs of spring before anything else, and then have to try and reorient when they're, like, actually seasonal

#hmm! bad!!#capitalism has classically conditioned me into being reflexively annoyed about christmas even in december #now climate change is trying to replace life-giving joy with anxiety and cynical despair about FLOWERS AND BIRDS... in my FAVORITE SEASON...#and with spring it's harder to track because like... 'it's too early for christmas' has a distinct calendar cutoff to anchor oneself to #seasonal changes are incremental and different each year and already prone to unpredictable fluctuations in the midwest anyway #I know the weather Hasn't Been normal for most of this year but-- mid-march IS normal for early spring... right? it's harder to pin down.#it's harder to remember without waypoints. were there flowers for my gramma's birthday when she was still alive a decade ago?#how cold was it then? in michigan? in the most changeable month of the most changeable season? Snake and Otacon in my post mgs4 hcs/au :)

#this takes place some years after the events of mgs4 #ik snake had a short prognosis but living into your 50s-60s is possible with werners syndrome. let me have this #snake uses a lot of mobility aids #primarily a forearm crutch; cane; and wheelchair #they are ALL camo printed bc he is annoying #he also has glasses for cataracts/general poor eyesight #snake; otacon; and sunny all live together happily #otacon and sunny take amazing care of snake; they love him dearly 🥺#snake is stubborn and tends to overdo it which causes flare ups #years of being seen more as an object for others than a human will do that to you #but hes getting better at it; sunny and otacon have taught him how to be kinder to himself #otacon kisses his hands and massages them when they're cold #snake fears otacon is disgusted by his body and pities him; but thats just snake being insecure #otacon loves him more than ever. he thinks he's gorgeous (he always hae a thing for older men-)#otacon helps snake brush his hair and teeth and dress himself when the pain is bad #sunny makes breakfast often :)#they all eat together when snake wakes up; which is usually in the late morning/early afternoon #if snakes pain is too bad theyll eat breakfast in bed together #mgs #mgs4 #hall emmerich #sunny emmerich #solid snake #old snake #disabled character #disability hcs #mobility aids

ok well i was about $1800 in the red this year lmao...could be worse [edit: jk i forgot to include the $260 i paid in et/sy fees this year LMAO...ah well]

#part of that is due to the class structure (which meant i had like $750 in class fees in the last couple months)#bc early winter session is SO short #so i paid for early winter session in october and i paid for the january session in december #but also that wouldn't've mattered if i actually had like. kept my shop stocked this year lmao #i have a bunch more dishes to photograph too but it's cold out :(#i might just have to break down and take shitty indoor photos just to mcfreakin sell these things #anyway! here's to a more financially solvent 2024!#im at peace with it btw cause like #i let my shop suffer bc i needed to make things that sparked joy and improve my skills a little #i needed the enrichment and i don't mind the price i paid #i learned a lot and i made cool things #and now! we rebuild!

had a dream I called the Danish emergency services (I was in Denmark) and they hung up on me :(

#was trying to tell them about leads i found in a murder #i also dreamed I had my hair cut and the hairdresser cut it way too long #(different dream)#also I kept biking to some church that doesn’t exist irl. not sure what i was doing there. going to concerts i think?#i am not religious never have been #was wearing my winter coat and a wool hat and embarrassed i was wearing that much so early in the year #even though it was cold as balls in the dream #also my bike had two really big lamps #but only one of them worked. or. so i assumed. didn’t actually try #OH and then i dreamed manda was recommended a random funny facebook post about one of my family members with like 900 likes #and sent it to me because it was funny also not realising it was my family member #creeped dream me out to hell and back #anyway big night for dreams idk why i’m using tumblr as my dream journal felt important #don’t usually dream this much/vividly/remember all of them at all #i did wake up in mis murder mystery dream though so maybe that’s why #oh yeah the murder mystery dream was like fucking. point and click video game format. i was walking around the apartment where the murder #happened just poking around shit until i found 3 leads which was my. goal? and then i called the police #and actually at first i accidentally called the swedish police. i forgot to put the danish country code in front of the number. so i hung up #on them and called the danish police instead #i’m not sure that’s how it actually works #like idk if you need the country code or if your phone will recognise what country you’re in i feel like it’s the latter #also the cell coverage was really bad so i heard like half of. what the emergency responder was saying #z talks #not horse game #sso spoilers #WILD FUCKING NIGHT IM GONNA GO BACK TO SLEEP NOW
