I’m asleep as I send this so sorry if it’s unintelligible— Nita nirvana released a bubblegum pop song, named something like ‘baby baby you’re my baby’. Stamping stone 8 year old niece loves her. Was she in a band and had other songs? Or in some way associated with a tv show or other type of media ‘Britney from Mickey Mouse club’ style? Just curious about her career.

Nita wanted to be an actress at a very young age, and her parents were more than happy to support her dreams. Nita, her dad, Todd and mom, Sirena Nirvana, maintained a household in Los Angeles, so it was easy for them to take their daughter to random casting calls. She did quite well, too. As a kid, she landed a few cereal commercials and got plenty of callbacks on "cute kid" bit parts.

Her career really took off right at the turn of the century, and at 14, she was the breakout figure in the pop group, You, Me, Her, Me Again and Her. Though she never became a regular cast member on The Mickey Mouse Club, Disney had their claws in her pretty directly after she went solo.

Now, you're going to have to clarify here, Anon. Because "Baby, Baby, Oh Baby, My Baby, Baby", her first big hit in the US, is often confused with the song you're referencing in your question, "Baby, Baby, You're My Baby"... which was almost featured in the cancelled Disney Animated adaptation of Pop Goes the Weasel, where Nita was slated to play "Fatima the Ferret" before the project was shelved:

Nita was able to ride the pop wave for a few years, but as interest in that area died down shortly after the 2000s, she had a harder time staying relevant. When Charles called her up for the Baen-Shee gig, I imagine she was at a point where she was absolutely ready for a big shift.

Nita has gone through a lot of ups and has only recently encountered downs in her career. I'm really looking forward to showing you all where she's landed, recently, too. Essentially, someone whose star shone quite brightly as a kid can find herself with a whole new set of challenges as she gets older and the media machine that once adored her becomes less welcoming (and keep in mind, Nita's only in her mid-20's at the point when Dethkomic is happening).

I was reading a Robin x beast Boy fanfic because I recently found out I actually really like the ship cause it's kind of adorable but anyway off topic

Garfield Logan or beast Boy has frequent nightmares due to this he has insomnia The little time he does get sleep it's constantly plagued with images of the past and anxieties of the future in these bouts of nightmarish fever he shifts into any animal to defend himself within the dream but it happens in real life and he finds himself swinging at the walls of his room in the Titan Tower and every time he wakes up he sees the scratches and thinks about how it would worry the team so he finds himself repairing the drywall with spackle in the sometimes late night or maybe even early light of the morning but the drywall looks out of place so he paints the wall over, covers it in murals of twisting vines and pretty flowers and all kinds of things some are sloppy and some are elegant but it fits his personality perfectly so whenever there's a new doodle on his walls it means there is a new scratch that has been repaired not that the team knows that. So from his team's point of view he just really likes art and has a knack for painting but from his point of view it's hastily covering up secrets so he can keep the fragile sense of calm in the tower

i know it wasnt a serious comment but every time i look at a datv character and start thinking about their designs my blood starts boiling from the giving cosplayers a challenge comment

unrelated to my point but why are you dragging the previous games down. have you seen any of the designs you speak of mr art director. do you think merrill in da2 wasnt peak. or morrigan in origins? do you know how hard it is to make cosplay armor.

you could have just been like "hey the characters have a lot more detail than before! look at neve's hat and everyone's clothes every single inch being embroidered or otherwise patterned"

which also makes me think. was any thought put into the designs or did they just want to detailmaxx so they can brag. idk if they could have said anything that would turn me personally off more from cosplaying anyone or analyzing their outfits

Ummm. Rinniki. I love them. Uh. Do you think that Rinne waiting to kiss until marriage is a genuine thing he's committed to or do you just think he was a massive coward because of how forward Niki asked and now he's gotta commit to the bit. Both are funny but I think the latter is funnier.

OK PERSONALLY.... i do think rinne would be committed to it. i think hiiro would probably be too, if its something thats ever crossed his mind. but at the same time, i also think rinne could be convinced if niki really kept insisting, because if it happened once it's easy enough for rinne to shrug off, but after that i can only imagine it really feels like niki's testing his patience.... tradition vs the love of his life FIGHT!!

but also the one u suggested is so funny too. its like playing a game of gay chicken but niki doesnt even know hes participating in it, he would fully believe it's part of rinne's hometown traditions and just occasionally suggest them kissing but it wouldnt cross his mind that its not true. meanwhile rinnes like (tightens fist) idk how much longer i can do this. its really funny when rinnes portrayed as a huge playboy by people when in my head its more enjoyable to see him as a blushing virgin who doesnt even know how to kiss properly and wants to be with niki forever. he simply doesnt know where to start 😭 whereas niki doesnt think that hard about anything, so wanting to kiss rinne is just Easy. it comes naturally

in either case i think niki would probably be the one to initiate, i.e getting all close to rinne, intimate atmosphere, etc.. but rinne would have to be in just the right mood/mindset to know nikis serious and that he really really wants this, too. there's this beautifully written fic that expresses my thoughts on this really well; the fact that deep down rinne's insecure, too, and he wants confirmation of niki's affections just as much as niki would want his, even if theyre not entirely on the same page (but they can learn to be, theyre very important to each other!)

so rinne being really insistent about wanting to get married first is because he wants to make sure niki really loves him, too, even though its obvious he does — he just expresses his love differently.

something that doesnt change tho is that both of them want kissy. i think spiritually theyre both married anyway
