Because chapter 70 of MOMU gave me the very dynamic between them that I missed so much, I just blacked out and started drawing uncontrollably lmao

Also. ALSO. I noticed a while ago that Prowl has the habit of..like…constantly frowning. So. I did a bit of research and made this graph.

In 70 chapters, Prowl frowns rougly 104 times. And the intensity of this gesture is very clearly correlated with the development of his relationship with Jazz, as you can see ahahahahah It might be wrong tho don’t take me seriously I’m not good with graphs

'i'm getting hammered tonight'#the chapter where the prime minister is trying to watch the news so she keeps wandering into bars and tv shops and getting kicked out #the dragon that's casually described as 'about the size of 1000 elephants'#the dragon that's a 'dog dragon hybrid with a chihuahua body and a giant dragon head'#the dragon that's owner punched it in the face and only lets people approach if they 'do the iconic royal wave'#the characters being described as 'the short one' 'the guy with the beard' etc #but there being a lengthy detailed description of the characters in harry potter #'apparently a dragon had burnt essex to cinders in a matter of minutes'#anyways i found out they also wrote (a political parody of indiana jones???) for this book of kids short stories years ago #and you know. we needed to know #so it took me like 4 months to track this precious lost media down #which was very worth it because it turns out it's full of many other iconic gems like CELLAR HELL by Elizabeth Elgie (12)

Just caught up with Natlan's archon quest and lord help me, I have a burning need to see Alhaitham and Ororon interact.

I truly feel that they would vibe perfectly. Not in a ship way, but like, in the way of Kaveh quietly wailing: "For archons' sake, he's brought another tacky thing into the house. I know & remember very little about RTD as a person but I do remember he left DW to care for his dying partner and that his partner has since died. And the way that this is so evident in his approach to 14 and 15, it’s phenomenal.

2005 Davies was interested in high drama, big stakes, the roughest heartbreak that could exist. And now he’s lived it, and it feels like his approach to the show has shifted as he has shifted!

14 getting to rest, Wilf alive off-screen, Donna’s memories returned - 15 leaving his trauma and his heartbreak and his pain with 14 in order to begin again fresh and new and ALIVE…it is all so meaningful to me!!!

(this isn't a question about the best p&p adaptation ever, it is simply which you prefer OUT OF THESE TWO OPTIONS since they are the two most commonly talked about and compared!!)

#i didn't really talk about it when i watched it because i know the 1995 version is precious and beloved to many people (which i respect)#but i personally think it just doesn't hold a candle to the 2005 version #i know it's more directly book accurate but for me that's not a priority in an adaptation #if i want to spend several hours on a book accurate experience i'll just listen to the audiobook #so for me if it's a screen adaptation then visuals are key and 2005 is so beautiful whereas 1995 isn't particularly special in that regard #i also prefer the casting personally in terms of chemistry and on screen presence but i acknowledge that's partly just because we're usuall #attached to whichever cast we're first familiar with #anyway none of this is to actually dunk on the miniseries of course and it goes without saying that all p&p is good p&p!#just curious what the split is (and wanted to separate the options for only seeing one since i imagine more people have seen 2005)#polls

no but "tommy's good people. he's good for you" was INSANE like why did they make bobby say that three eps/couple months into their relationship? especially in a scene that was a long-time coming moment of bobby acknowledging how much buck grew up over the years and how proud he is of him, a moment so important to buck and bobby's relationship and extra important to bobby at that time because of what he was going through. like they didn't have to?? bring up tommy?? at ALL?? i feel like im going crazy

Y'all ever cry when you think about how everyone in Eddie's life assumed he'll make a terrible parent without even offering him the help he needed to prove himself except for Buck?? He hears about Eddie's struggles with parenting and doesn't think 'you're a bad dad' he just thinks 'you need a bit of help' and then proceeds to make that happen for Eddie.

Calling Bobby to get permission to have Chris with them because Eddie doesn't get the time to, introducing Carla to go through the shitty red tapes he's been struggling to figure out, driving him to pick-up Chris after the earthquake, throwing a surprise Christmas party so that Eddie can be with Chris, and being the person Chris can turn to when he doesn't feel like talking to Eddie.

I don't think Buck realizes how much Eddie probably values all the things Buck has done for him to allow him to be the parent that he's always been capable of being. Buck downplays the things he does and probably thinks it's not much but for Eddie it's everything. It's everything Eddie didn't get from his partner or his parents. Buck just... does it for him, as easy as breathing.

This is why it was so, so easy for Eddie to choose Buck as the legal guardian for his Will but it was a shock for Buck. Buck doesn't know how integral he's been to Eddie being a good dad. For Eddie, it's easy because be knows Buck is already capable of stepping up. For Buck, it's surprising because doesn't think all the things he does matters.

#now I'm not saying Buck is the only reason Eddie is a good dad okay #because Eddie does so much of the work himself #but parenting is hard especially if you're a single parent #you have so much to do that people often judge you for not being perfect #so the fact that buck steps in and helps out in little ways so that eddie can actually be the fully awesome dad that he is #ugh they are so fucking precious to me #i love getting into their heads and dissecting what their thought process is like #remember the way eddie looked at buck when he introduced carla to him??#yeah that #that's the look of someone who can't believe what the other person is doing for them #co-parenting buddie is everything #buckley diaz family #buddie #911 abc #eddie diaz #evan buckley #evan buck buckley
