wdym if the petrification didn't happen, modern world gen wouldn't know how to flirt with girls while senku would be ur average dude with 18+ thoughts on his mind all the time....... this is just too funny
#really love this fact for gen#bc this is how ive always seen him#i can imagine him being a good flirt when he pretends to be someone else#but i think his real self is just an awkward guy when it comes to romance#bc my hc is that gen mostly had a shield on in the modern world#he was an extrovert but even so he didn't have much genuine conversations#so if he had any real interest in anyone he would be quite at a loss on how to about it#like he would be able to help and advice others on how to get together with someone but would be a loser himself omg#this is such a win for me i love this gen#and as for senku im ngl i love asexual senku as much as the next person#but it's not out of the realm for me to imagine an eroi senku lmao#it's kinda funny tho#my headcanon of senku has always been that he has a low interest in romance and whatnot but he's not oppose it to either#so more like he wouldn't go out of his way to find it but if it happens it happens#this new fact doesn't really go against my headcanon i think so yeah woohoo#also another fact i saw was that gen was a street performer before he became big#basically like ed sheeran but magician#he's so hardworking... he never gave up on his dreams i love him#based on the LN he was lonely pre petrification too just like tsukasa#it's probably why he liked tsukasa back then bc he saw himself in tsukasa with how hard tsukasa worked to save his sister#and how hard gen works to achieve his dreams#dr stone#sengen

here have a medley of miscellaneous timeskip pro team headcanons bc WOW i haven't posted in a while and this is my only stress outlet other than binging new series <3333
starting off strong with ejp raijin LET'S GOOOOOO
washio 🫱🏼🫲🏼suna 🫱🏼🫲🏼komori: being EXHAUSTED from carrying the pro team world on their backs
no no i'm kidding. mostly
they keep a tally of other pro team matches in which their former teammates go up against each other and are REALLY smug if their respective teammate wins. which means you get shit like this
komori, cheerfully: "so how about that hornets v falcons game last night, huh?" suna: "oh shut UP tell iizuna tsukasa that aran-san could kick his ass any day of the week you little SHIT - "
they ARE united on the jackals front tho. all three of them want the adlers to go down HARD.
is suna nursing a grudge against ushijima from high school? yeah. is he ever going to get over it? probably not.
only komori feels bad bc he is fond of kageyama, but, hey, family's family
they ask washio why he hates the adlers and he looks them dead in the eyes and goes "hoshiumi kourai . . . he is a man that requires constant vigilance"
actually wait i know we all saw everyone watching and talking about the game (which makes me wanna cry SO bad) but god. how fucking funny would it be if players from monster gen convinced everyone else on their very professional and very mature teams to take sides
ejp raijin captain, who's been friends with hirugami fukurou for like ten years: "okay so explain to me again why we need to blow our entire team budget on jackals merch when we're not even going to the goddamn game?" komori: "well, it started on a cloudy but beautifully crisp spring day in 2012 - "
SPEAKING OF TACHIBANA RED FALCONS
hakuba joins the team, sees aran, and IMMEDIATELY starts texting the old kamomedai group chat
altho tbh i don't think there's no way that the "who-from-where-made-WHAT-pro-team" news never breaches the high school circuit. like come ON you know everyone's keeping up with the third year stars when they graduate
by the time the first years are third years they've got everyone pinned down on a fucking MAP. they have a shared file where they update each other on EVERYTHING. it's way less creepy than it sounds they're just a really passionate bunch okay!!!!
well that AND they can't help but brag about their amazing upperclassmen
okay sorry back to it. so it really goes more like
hakuba: "HOLY SHIT OJIRO ARAN FROM INARIZAKI IS HERE" suwa: "hakuba, we already knew that. i linked the article when it first dropped, remember?" hakuba: "yeah but it's still so WEIRD like it's OJIRO ARAN from INARIZAKI" hoshiumi: "lol atsumu told me he talks in his sleep, go find out if it's true"
aran actually does recognize hakuba mostly because gin paid him a compliment ONE (1) time and then aran had to listen to atsumu complain incessantly about the "stupid wall of muscle with stupid hair and his stupid height and stupid arms" ever since
ALSO. i think people get hakuba and hyakuzawa mixed up a lot. they've both got a similar height and build and hairstyle and play the same position
(not to mention the similar backstories)
it becomes a running joke throughout the pro leagues and makes for a fun time with falcons v warriors matches
in the event of a hyakuhina hookup (which i feel like actually could happen) they somehow get onto the topic of "haha it'd be even harder to tell them apart with your eyes closed!" and hinata, without thinking, goes "well, i probably could" and everyone is like "WHAT"
he digs himself an even deeper hole by saying "no, i just meant - i know hyakuzawa's body really well!!!" and everyone immediately starts screaming
poor hyakuzawa is dying on the inside
i think shibayama (MY BELOVED) kind of occasionally forgets that he also has his own fanbase and is sort of semi-famous as the libero of tokai heavy industries esperanza bc. he knows kenma and yaku and lev and komi and yamamoto and fukunaga and, in general, a bunch of people that he believes are much more well-known than he is
he's always so flattered whenever someone stops him in the street to ask for a pic or when he sees posts online gushing about him
this is extra funny bc he never talks about his friends like they're famous so all of his teammates don't really know that shibayama is friends with all these other famous people
and then one of them, an avid kodzuken fan, spams their group chat when kodzuken's newest video is released and shibayama shows up in it
they're like "SHIBAYAMA!! HOW COME YOU NEVER TOLD US THAT YOU'RE FRIENDS WITH KODZUKEN??" and shibayama is like "i have?? i talk about kenma-san all the time??" and they're like "YOU'RE TELLING ME KODZUKEN IS THE SAME KENMA-SAN WHO RIPPED HIS HIGH SCHOOL JERSEY TRYING TO JUMP OVER A FENCE???"
(shibayama's second year. they'd been dealing with things. it worked out, in the end. even if they had to lie to nekomata and naoki about why all their jerseys ended up with holes in them.)
i love the pro teams you guys they're so fucking funny
#anyways recently i read go with the cloud north by northwest and holy SHIT#are there some things i could do without??? yeah absolutely#but the art is gorgeous and there are some BANGER lines to quote i am incredibly invested#as always thanks for reading! stay safe and keep doing the best you can#suna rintarou#washio tatsuki#komori motoya#hakuba gao#ojiro aran#hyakuzawa yuudai#hinata shouyou#shibayama yuuki#miya atsumu#ushijima wakatoshi#hirugami fukurou#hoshiumi kourai#suwa aikichi#iizuna tsukasa#kozume kenma#haikyuu#haikyuu hcs#haikyuu!!#sou says stuff

Due to the mental anguish I am rambling about tbhk. I WAS going to put this under a readmore but that keeps breaking the post on mobile so. Im sorry. Tons of spoilers for chapter 99. And like the whole series. You know how it is.
I feel like I need to make an itemized list because there’s so fucking much I need to talk about right now
The violence and parallels to tsukasa. I mean who can forget tsukasa prying mitsubas mouth open to feed him number 3s heart. Who knows what tsukasa’s intentions were but they weren’t necessarily bad— as we know now mitsuba needs to eat to survive plus number 3 was like a pretty big power boost that would keep him together for a longer time. So he likely just wanted mitsuba to live comfortably. BUT ALSO there’s the beginning of the chapter where tsukasa tells mitsuba to dig the heart out himself vs kou who gets it for him. Anyways. With kou here it clearly came from a similar place of wanting mitsuba to not disappear. There’s a desperation to it and fear and it’s one I personally actually know quite well. I’ve dealt with friends refusing to eat and take care of themselves and it is a violent frustrating feeling that just ends with crying after the anger fades. There’s a lot of confusion like. Why do you not care about yourself as much as I care about you. Anyways. His actions make a lot of sense to me bc I have felt and done the exact same things.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5b59b23eaf98b8b044aad75418330471/1b0b2e798408057b-ef/s540x810/b19968c6824cad12679ea49ea6aa51ff50327ca1.jpg)
Me core ^
and THEN there’s mitsubas feelings of wanting to be fucking exorcised and going to the fucking minamoto household to do it there’s so much here hang on. Like. I think he went to the minamoto house for some sliver of hope. If he wanted to for sure disappear he probably could’ve waited it out or something better but he went to the place where, depending on who answered the door, he’d either die or be faced with fucking. Kou minamoto. And the fact the he chose to reveal himself to kou it’s like. Did you really want to disappear. Did you really. And then taking him out on a fucking date basically like. You don’t want to disappear do you. You just don’t want to be. This. He wants to be human. He wants someone who will understand him and. And. Kou so readily accepts and understands him. Even the parts he thinks are ugly or unworthy. Fuck.
AND THEN. Kous feeling of inadequacy and fearing that mitsuba trusts tsukasa more than him and connecting to the vision he saw in the red house. Whether he accepts it or not he wants mitsuba to need him. The red house showed him a mitsuba who told him that he needs kou that he wants kou to be a supernatural with him and he brushes it away knowing mitsuba would never say that to him. He tells himself that mitsuba would never trust him or want him like that but he wants it to be real and he’s still hurt when the real mitsuba won’t open up to him. And it all comes back to his overall self worth issues of wanting to be strong and dependable and worthy.
AND this is all under the context of Teru finally letting kou have some responsibility and telling him to go exorcise the low level spirit that came near their home and AaaaaAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUU. KOU MINAMOTO……..
God its just. Kou minamoto cares about mitsuba so so so much and neither of them completely understand the gravity of it all. Also at this point hes said like 3 times that mitsuba is the root of all his worries. ALSO dont even get me started on the art and expressions this chapter. It’s so gorgeous like as always but. God. Also the keychains. Im gonna[blaring truck horn]
ALSO the way mitsuba says at the end like ‘you’d be lonely without me’ or whatever and kou almost looks shocked for a second like. Oh. And its like he thinks about it more and cries more because yeah, he would be lonely. He’s been lonely. Mitsuba somehow inexplicably became like his closest friend that knows everything about him and god he was lonely when mitsuba disappeared. The first time and the second. And he’s barely had time to process any of it because to everyone else around him mitsuba doesnt really. Matter. And because kou is so kind he is always putting everyone else’s problems in front of his own. The severance happens and it becomes a journey to help nene bring hanako and aoi back—next to no mention mitsuba aside from the leads to the red house, much less trying to find and save him too. The whole time theyre in the boundary to the far shore its all about hanako and nene and number 6. And there’s STILL the conversation about how to become a supernatural that he brought up with nene but noooooo we cant ever know anything about what kou wants. And like. It all comes back around this chapter because he so so selfishly wants mitsuba to live. One of the only things he lets himself want. And it aches. God. I wish i was any good or natural at prose writing because god the things i would write about minamoto kou. AND TO TOP IT OFF HES LIKE FUCKING 14 YEARS OLD…. Okay. Okay im done.
#the power kou minamoto has over me to make me want to chop all my hair off. i WONT. but.#god. kou minamoto and mitsuba sousuke you guys make me feel undocumented emotions#anyways#tbhk#jshk#toilet bound hanako kun#jibaku shounen hanako kun#kou minamoto#minamoto kou#mitsuba sousuke#sousuke mitsuba#sunnfish.tbhk#sunnfish.jshk#sunnfish.txt#why cant i write this much on like. academic papers#sigh#I’ve been writing this for like an hour btw#long post

Yes hello hello!
Here’s my thought process
Tsukasa was manipulated by this entity, he was coerced and then abused in the red house and probably saw god knows what. He comes back home and his mom hates him and his brother seems to be wary and also killed him! He doesn’t like this god. He doesn’t want it around but it’s keeping him ALIVE. It’s letting him be with his family.
All he has to do is keep granting wishes.
Even through death, it sticks to him, like a parasite, and he can’t escape it. He knows the lengths it will go, and he knows how willing it is to kill people just for its own sake. So, he decides to work against it. His brother doesn’t even LIKE the god, so what’s the point of keeping it around? He wants to be destroyed not because he hates himself (well partially) but because it’ll kill the well God too. He doesn’t want needless death. That isn’t his goal. It isn’t what he cares about. He just wants freedom but how is having an entity inside you freedom?
oooh, this is such a sad consideration... the idea that if tsukasa is destroyed it will help amane in many different ways is devastating ): but would it get rid of the god, at least from their lives? if tsukasa's death wasn't enough? will it take his destruction to sever the connection?
this makes me wonder if what the god wants after tsukasa went back is the same as what it wants in this timeline? why was our original tsukasa able to go back? is there some way the god benefits?
this also raises questions about if the god and tsukasa can be separated, through any means other than death, and what the consequences would be. though you make a point that the only way for that to happen may be for yorishiro tsukasa to be destroyed ):
it's also interesting that you mention tsukasa's freedom, bc he seems to value that a lot less than freedom as a general concept... yes he thinks people should be how they want to be, but how does tsukasa want to be, other than with amane? tsukasa gave his own freedom away for amane's... does amane have that now? did he ever?
i do generally think of tsukasa and the god working together, though an antagonistic relationship could maybe answer some questions about tsukasa's actions... for example, tsukasa says he believes humans and supernaturals should be how they want to be... right after making mitsuba into something completely different against his will. i wonder what his goal was there? how do these things fit together? taking mitsuba's mind in exchange for a wish doesn't really sound super like freedom!! so maybe that was to benefit the god as well? was this a necessary step in making their own school mystery--another step in the plan to destroy the yorishiros?
the question of leverage and power are definitely very important to think about when thinking about the relationship between tsukasa and the god. how much does tsukasa "owe" to the god? when does it end? how much does tsukasa care about his own freedom? he doesn't appear to give it much thought at all...
there are things i think tsukasa pursues out of his own curiosity, and i think a lot of what is does is for the sake of granting sakura's and amane's wishes. but the violence along the way may very well be the influence of the god over him!! i do wonder how much of the violence of the red house tsukasa was witness to, and how that affected him. i also wonder how he perceives his own violence; tsukasa is certainly a bit puzzling in his simultaneous curiosity about and disregard for other lives. he wants to know all about them, and believes they should be how they want, but is very willing and excited to experiment with them. it certainly does raise questions about what stems his willingness and eagerness to slice into things and make them into something different! is this perhaps the god's influence? a result of trauma? trauma inflicted by the god directly, or through what tsukasa saw in the red house? the fear of amane dying?
i'm not so sure about the answers myself, but i do think the power the god exerts over tsukasa is an interesting question to consider! it also raises a lot of questions regarding what forms a person's personality, and how characters express and pursue their desires and motivations. i'm really interested to learn more about why tsukasa thoguht it would be bad to go back... and what made him decide it was worth risk... right now it seems his desire to learn more about amane won over any caution he previously exhibited. if the god is responsible for the troubles and tragedies the yugis faced after tsukasa went back, did tsukasa know that they would happen? your theory raises a lot of really interesting questions about autonomy and intention and power.... so much to keep thinking about!

i think gens insistence on being a bad, shallow person is very interesting bc.. we don't really see it backed up. he actually continually proves through his actions that he really isn't shallow or bad at all. wish we knew more about his backstory.
but i think. maybe he actually did something morally questionable. in the novel it's kinda implied that he often won his shows by cheating and that he has thrown people under the bus, basically. (tsukasa accuses him of lying when gen says that he just wanted to play fair, that's why he accepted the loss - and gens like "aw u saw right through it". this is paraphrased from memory so probably not that accurate lol)
i wonder if this cheating is why he insists on being shallow? or was there something else? (maybe something family related? as that seems to be a sore topic for him)
either way, he's warning people about himself because he feels guilty - he didn't like doing it and he doesn't enjoy seeing people sad.
i'd also like to mention that gen did not seem to enjoy the whole cheating thing.
- he kept count of the cards in his head despite not having to (that's how he knew that the transmission was wrong) which tells me that he's proud of his skills and wants to use them
- he said he wanted to enjoy the chance of playing against tsukasa without cheating
- he's implied to have no real friends basically (by tsukasa saying "aren't you the same?" after gen says that he's alone)
i think this all implies that gen was rather miserable in his career.
i think gen might have been between the chairs in a way. he enjoyed the money and the admiration stardom gave him. he loved doing the shows!
but then he had to compromise his authenticity for a chance of staying in the playing field. and that probably took the joy out of it. which is really sad because i think he truly loved mentalism and magic and being an entertainer.
which is why he bloomed beautifully once he was given the chance to just be himself. i think the KoS really saved him.
yeah idkkk this is kind of a mess but i was bored and restless and i was rotating him in mind. feel free to add your own opinion/interpretation! but note that i can be very slow to respond
#asagiri gen#gen asagiri#dcst#dr stone#dr stone spoilers#plss inagaki i need his backstory u cannot tease us in an interview like that and not say anything more!!!#also can i just say that i really love the novel. i could talk about it for hours.

Zi-O 16 is SUBBED???...
... WOW. O-T was faster than usual. Maybe they had time off for Christmas and just wanted to get it done? You really didn’t have to do this guys, but thank you so much!
Anyway, below as usual. I make no claims about length bc I always seem to get it wrong...
No order:
OH MY GOD. Geiz used his name! When he says he’s giving up on being king, Geiz’s response is a surprised ‘Sougo...?’ And he doesn’t even really sound happy? Like, I think that part of him was like ‘yes this dream turns out badly for everyone,’ but the part that was getting fond of Sougo was also aware of how much the dream meant to nice¡Sougo... Like, he sounds sorta big brotherly concerned... Careful, Geiz, your feelings are showing.
These three are shaping up to be a ‘I don’t care how their relationship is defined that just need to stay together’ group for me. Honestly, I do have a lot of those in Toku, but I really love these three, and I hope they don’t have to end up separated.
I also have this theory that the Time Mazines (gonna spell it different every post! ^^) and Ziku Drivers somehow make you immune to the ripple effect? Bc otherwise it’s too painful to consider that one day, when they finally manage to succeed in preventing the badness, that Geiz and Tsukuyomi are going to permanently forget Sougo, bc in the new future they’d have no reason to know him... Or... If they get retconned... Oh god, if Sougo found out changing it would mean sacrificing his friends (I use the word ‘friends’ bc it’s a general term for people one has bonded w/)... Like, there’d be versions of them, but not the ones he knew... He’d still do it to save the world, but the ANGST! I LOVE IT! (provided it got fixed? bc I’m a wuss who loves only happy endings) Though that probably won’t happen bc it was Build’s finale, so it’s WAY too soon to be reusing it.
Also, in the scene before he throws the Driver? LOOK AT HIS HAND. The poor boy is clutching that thing so hard, his knuckles are white and his hand is shaking. Sougo.exe has stopped working.
Also, saw the hesitation on Geiz’s part, too. Oh, you poor children. Your emotions are all messed up.
Seriously, for gods’ sakes, you are all CHILDREN you shouldn’t be going through this!
Still. If we’d completely changed the past, I would have expected the robots to just vanish like Puma Zi-O and his box did (WHY WERE YOU SITTING IN A BOX IN AN EMPTY FIELD PUMA ZI-O I FEEL LIKE THERE ARE BETTER PLACES FOR YOU TO SIT!)
Also, I kinda of the opinion that Geiz has the Ex-Aid Watch bc he ran back to the clock shop after ditching Woz and Tsukasa and grabbed all the Watches still there.
I am also on the ‘let Geiz win something please’ train, but I’m pretty sure Sougo was teasing him. I feel like their gonna be those two who always seem to argue, w/ Sougo being a little troll and Geiz falling for it and getting mad every time (bc you know he will, he’s too straight-laced not to! god, the poor boy is such an easy mark to tease!), but in the end, they’ll beat the hell out of anyone else who tries to mess with the other. And then Tsukuyomi’s just like ‘yeah, these are my idiots, and if you mess with them, I’ll shoot you in the face and kick your shins out.’
Like, if we use family dynamics... Geiz is the grumpy, serious big brother who constantly gets teased by his trollish little brother, which Sougo, and then poor Tsukuyomi’s the only sane sibling in the house.
Honestly, though, Geiz is such a pure and adorable tsundere, I’m not sure I could resist teasing him a little.
Junichiro here w/ the weirdly specific foreshadowing. You know what, someone else theorised that maybe he’s an alternate version of Sougo that came back to do something, so now I feel validated in that thought. My hope is that, if true, he’s from a bad future and is trying to guide his younger self toward a better future. But that may just be my desperate search for good father figures in KR. (Director Kagami, Shouichi, we salute you, gentlemen)
Speaking of fathers, it seems it’s ‘bring your son to work day’ this time w/ the Time Jackets. Also, Swartz do you... Do you have to do that to reanimate the robot? Couldn’t you... I dunno... Do something else?
Also Sougo looked so sad when he commented that Geiz and Tsukuyomi weren’t coming back. Poor baby. It’s okay, it’s only episode 16. We got a while to go.
Geiz, not acting very committed to leaving... Seriously, though, did it really take you this long to get to the Time Mazines? Sougo got all the way home, then left home, went to the grocery store, and started back. I feel like that was plenty of time. I think you two were stalling.
Also, Uhr/Heuhre I saw that pepper hit the ground, please wipe it off, honey, you’re gonna get sick.
Also, Woz shaking his head at the belt like it’s part of the discussion. ‘Can you believe him right now?’ And the belt’s just like ‘yeah, I know, right?’
Careful, Geiz. Looking slightly concerned there. Seriously, though. They could have just left. They have no reason to think this would effect the future much at this point. Or hell, Geiz could have just left. But no, w’re gonna get out and rush back over w/ Tsukuyomi for... Reasons.
Sougo’s like ‘no belts here, WE DIE LIKE MEN!’
Woz is a terrible security guard and Uhr/Heuhre is an excellent thief.
Oh, god, I missed that before. Geiz literally yells for Sougo to dodge (and then later Sougo is still surprised they’re there--Sougo, who did you think yelled that?). And then when Sougo doesn’t, he’s legit upset and throws the sign. Oh, baby, you are so hopeless. He literally does not actually want Sougo to die if he can help it.
Geiz and Tsukuyomi are both like ‘ugh this goddamn noble idiot unfortunately we kind of love him.’
Okay... Since we’re saying ‘subjects’ again, I’m gonna wax random about something... I think I mentioned somewhere before that I don’t think ‘king’ is gonna end up necessarily meaning ‘someone who rules’ exactly. This was kind enforced by how I interpreted what Junichiro said earlier? Now, this is just my interpretation, so I can’t say anything for sure, but he said that he wanted to work for a famous clock company, and he didn’t follow that, but now he owns his own store, so in a way, his dream did come true (was pretty much the gist, I think). So, like, the point being, dreams don’t always come true in exactly the way you expect or imagine. ‘King’ can be a nickname. It can be used on a smaller level than ‘the world.’ I, for instance, could be called ‘King of the sticky-note cranes.’ The fact is, there’s multiple ways to interpret what a ‘king’ is, I’m thinking that might come into play somehow. Or... I’m just overthinking everything after Build. Get me started on the ‘that Driver’ subject...
Okay, but, Geiz was already ready to transform. When we cut back to him, he’s got the Driver and his Ride Watch up already. He was already gonna go help. Oh, my baby.
Also, I’m sorry, sweetie, but your henshin looks really silly while running. At least your clothes were pretty presentable this ep.
And, like I said, Sougo is surprised. Also, Geiz is mad about him putting himself in danger, they’re so cute! But seriously, wtf Sougo. How did you not hear his voice earlier? And what, did you think the sign threw itself?
Sougo is like ‘holy crap you do actually like me.’
Also Tsukasa hoping around like some longe-legged pink frog.
So, we now know Tsukasa definitely has his own plan, but I’m still believing that he’s trickster mentoring it and his end goal is a good one.
I feel like Geiz could handle Kisshan, though it would probably be a rough fight. I think at this point he could probably hold his own against Tsukasa for a bit (not win yet, though--it’s a bloody ten year experience gap, and Geiz is just eighteen)? But he definitely can’t handle both of them at once alone.
Yeah, I don’t think anyone is expecting Tsukasa to be predictably on a side...
I love Ora/Hora just sitting down on a bucket in the background.
Sougo and Tsukuyomi are like ‘No! Our grumpy tsundere!’
Okay, how long has Uhr/Heuhre had that Driver? Now I’m worried they did something to it.
Love how Tsukuyomi just ducks out of the way and abandons Sougo his fate. Actually, it’s probably bc she assumed he’d duck, too. XD
Tsukuyomi’s just like ‘my boys are idiots I’ll deal with this! Follow me!’ Seriously, when we see her later, she seems no worse for wear. Not a scratch or mud on her clothes or anything. She was able to keep him busy just fine, though I can understand the FaizPhone might not pack enough power to actually take him out. Hey, Toei, please let her transform. The Zi-Ot3 would be unstoppable! Well, some of the time. When they could focus. ^^
Geiz is like, ‘aw, crap, we need numbers. Shit.’
Sougo’s like ‘okay, A) didn't you use my name earlier? and B) have you lost your mind?’
Geez, you two. Stare more dramatically into each others’ eyes. Real secondary and primary drama here.
I joke, but I love this. Sougo knows he can trust Geiz, bc Geiz is incapable of being anything other than who he is, which is unbendingly honest, honourable, and incredibly steadfast. He’s like Keiichiro. Probably couldn’t lie if his life depended on it (though maybe if other people’s did), doesn’t understand deception, easy to manipulate bc he’s so straightforward. He’s incredibly trustworthy. And Geiz is starting to trust Sougo, too. I do love the idea of the trio making their own ‘side’ in all of this. Like, before, Woz said that Tsukuyomi and Geiz weren’t on Sougo’s side and he was, and at the time that was true about those two. But now, it’s become clear that Woz is on Puma Zi-O’s side, not actually Tokiwa Sougo’s side, and Geiz and Tsukuyomi are shaping up to be the ones who are on Sougo’s actual side--as in, the Sougo in question, to whom Woz was speaking at the time (whose side Woz is certainly not on). God, here I am repeating my fanfic now. But I liked the way I explained it there! And maybe someone didn’t read it or something...
Of course, whether Geiz is actually gonna have the will to keep that promise... Hee hee... Sorry, I have this really depressing thing involving promises w/ these three.
But seriously, though, this is so nostalgic. Let’s stare intensely at each other some more!
Okay, but also when'd id they move away from the wall?
Ignoring Woz to continue staring dramatically at each other. That’s valid.
Also, the fact that Woz apparently hauled that ladder over there in total silence just to make this speech.
Also, Woz, no one is there. To quote Tsukasa, who are you talking to?
Masahiro’s a really good actor actually. Like, his voicing here is great I love it.
I’M STILL GETTING A KICK OUT HOW THE LADDER’S STILL THERE AND HE DIDN’T USE IT. We just hate Woz that much apparently.
I’m so excited for the day when there’s a fight and they’re all just throwing Ride Watches right, left, and centre...
Big sister Time Jacket is annoyed she has to help her little brother.
More bad CGI mech fights. I LOVE IT.
Still waiting for that ‘HEY! SAY!’/‘HEI! SEI!’ chant again.
YOU TWO ARE SO GOOD AT THE TEAMWORK!!!!!
Also, have I mentioned Keisuke does an excellent evil smile? Yeah, Woz is fucking creepy y’all.
Oh, right. Gotta listen to this jerk laugh again... Whatever dude, young you is taking you down.
I love Tsukuyomi getting excited about how good the for looks.
Geiz in the corner like ‘yeah, this is my fault, I can’t really say anything here...’
Tsukuyomi’s like ‘wtf are entrance exams?’
So... Here’s the question. Is Recap Room Woz reflective of Story Woz’s actual intentions? Bc Recap Room Woz seems happy that history is changing... Though Woz was wearing that creepy smile when the gears turned before... AUGH WHAT IS YOUR GOAL HERE YOU ASSHOLE!
Also, it still totally looks like your Rider form is marching into the Recap Room to kill you.
Gotta be honest. Regrettably... I love it. I’m so sorry. I love it. I love the goofy glow-in-the-dark. I love the clunky, plastic kid-watch look. I love this mess so much.
Preview: Kanji became a Kamen Rider using a magic silver gold, and decided to change his look to purple rather than gold (it’ll be hilarious if the character is literally Kinji I would love it--at least have him speak bad english!). As for New Woz... Don’t talk to me about New Woz. New Woz has confused Firebird.exe so badly it has stopped functioning. But the fact that he’s got a new-fangled future book and Woz has a normal book is funny. Also, the shots w/ Geiz and Sougo in the back, looking on like ‘WTF?????’
Virtual orange chocolate if you read this far (love that stuff some of the only chocolate I’ll eat dark). I LOVE reluctant friendship and dramatic stare downs and trust and... I love the Zi-Ot3, okay. I love it. Excited to see Kinji again, confused as hell in regards to Woz and Woz, curious what Tsukasa’s goal is (also Jinga is over now, right, so he doesn’t have to run back and forth... That’s probably why they waited ‘til now so he’d be done filming Jinga). Also curious to see more of the Time Jackets--aka grumpy time murder fam that hates each other.
Oh, yeah, and have I-

Okay...
... I’m exhausted and I should have been in bed a while ago, but...
ZI-O 16!!!
Ahem. Anyway. This’ll be quick-is, but it’s going under the cut anyway.
(no order)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! MY BABIES! THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!
Poor Geiz cares, he’s just awful at showing it. This poor child is very bad at feelings.
This is just gonna be the Zi-Ot3, isn’t it? One of us is in trouble, other two just coming running.
No idea what the Time Jackets are up but it’s WEIRD.
Well, that’s probably why Woz was making that face when Sougo said it was up to other people to decide who was king--but I don’t think this is gonna end up going that way for you, prophet boy. Sorry (not sorry).
Aw, Sougo, don’t worry. Tsukuyomi and Geiz will have your back. They’re not gonna let you go evil. Promise. (or maybe their presence will prevent it, something like that)
Ya know someone mentioned a possibility of Puma Zi-O being an alternate version of Sougo from another timeline? That’d be interesting, I think... Or just in general the idea of Puma Zi-O creating a time paradox cycle to ensure his power by sending his past self dreams and sending the Dai Mazines?
And then while I was thinking about that, I was like ‘what if Junichiro is actually also an alternate version of Sougo?’ (semi-serious), which then moved to ‘what if everyone is just an alternate version of Sougo?’ (not serious at all).
Oh yeah, Tsukasa. Sorry, got nothing on that right now. Still think he’s being a semi-trickster mentor, semi-himself.
Also my first thought is that the man they filmed that dream sequence with was a stand-in--like w/ how the first time we saw Zamigo in LuPat it was actually a suit actor wearing the costume.
Also, bc Build now makes me over think tiny things... Puma Zi-O said that getting rid of ‘that’ Driver would prevent the bad future (though this was clearly all according to keikaku for him). ‘That’ Driver was the one Woz gave Sougo. But the Driver Sougo uses to transform back into Zi-O is... Geiz’s Driver. Is this going to change something?
Yeah, they literally switched belts. Does this mean something?
(Also pretty sure Geiz said ‘I believe in you’ in there at some point or something along those lines--I love these three, they’re beautiful, leave me alone)
At this point, I’m not even surprised that Woz has a ladder in his pocket. I have other things to be surprised about with Woz.
(They’re at the docks, he probably found it lying around, but this concept was funnier)
Also Geiz and Sougo just totally ignoring Woz’s speech to continue the dramatic eye contact was awesome, love it, too. And then Geiz hates Woz so much, he doesn’t even try to use the ladder Woz brought. Even though Woz LEFT IT IN THE HOLE.
Woz is being creepy again, but you know what, even that doesn’t top this. I EXPECT that from him.
Yeah, yeah. We get it, Puma Zi-O, you’re evil. You’re gonna bloody lose, dude. So laugh now, I guess.
(Oh, yeah, I guess those things did go into the ground? Which brings up a point--if throwing away the belt completely negated the bad future, shouldn’t Kisshan and the Dai Mazines have just vanished? Rather than shutting down? SUSPICIOUS.)
Aw. Yeah, I bet Geiz and Tsukuyomi have never had christmas or any kind of holiday before. CUTE.
Woz apparently picked up the clock from the shop. That’s decent of him. Where the hell is the recap room, anyway? Also, does he notice that it’s, uh... Glowing? Also... That ending really made it look like his alternate self was there to do him in...
SPEAKING OF. WHY ARE THERE TWO WOZ. ARE THEY ROBOTS? CLONES? TWINS WITH THE SAME NAME? Does Keisuke have a twin? Bc tertiaries usually, ya know, hang around for the full show. So... Is he gonna be switching back and forth each ep? Are we just gonna have two Woz? It seems like a long time to have one actor play two people but maybe they can pull it off. They have gotten better at it (still curious how they do it). Still... Are they gonna merge in the end? Is one Woz going to kill the other and take his stuff? Are they on different sides? Was there once one Woz and he split in half? Is he from an alternate future? If so, does that mean there will be other alternate versions of our heroes? Augh! My brain!
Digital tea with any trappings you like if you read all that.
I need to go to bed.
