Agh, I had to separate my yapping session again (it's below this post... hopefully) 😭😭😭✍️✍️✍️🔥🔥🔥. Still, here's some concept and closeups of this art piece. I hope the formatting of this post goes well. 😭😭😭😭

This time, I lost track of how long I spent on this piece lol because I wanted to experiment and change the way I create my fanarts. And oh boy, did I learn a lot! It was fun, but goddamn that took a long time hahaha. My phone was chugging so hard to process the colors on this piece. I think I need to work on reformatting my phone soon. Ah, the joys of being piss poor.

I actually intended for this to have a companion piece, but I think I'll post it separately because it'll take time to finish it... ✍️🔥🔥🔥

I used an old painting titled, Woman with a Parasol by Claude Monet as reference and inspiration this time! When looking at this AU, I felt really inspired to create something based on those old era picturesque paintings. So yeah, that's how this came out lol.

This Timmy design is something I came up with. I'm not sure if it'll stick as this AU continues its development lol. I used a lot of fashion references of the Victorian Era when creating that design (particularly on children wear). Although, the bonnet is more inspired by the show. Particularly the times when Timmy is shown in younger baby form, he usually wears a pink frilly bonnet. (It was mentioned that Timmy's baby pictures mostly show him wearing female baby clothes, because yeah, it's canon that his parents wanted a girl rather than a boy...) This is not his default design for this AU by the way. This is just one of the many outfits he might constantly wear.

Fun fact! The parasol he's holding is actually a wand. I was thinking that maybe Cosmo and Wanda gave him that as one of their "offering gifts" for Timmy before they officially pester his daily life lmao. The wand can change into many inanimate objects! The caveat is that it will always have some part of the star in the inanimate objects it takes the form of. Plus, some objects it turns into will have side effects when used lmao.

Like, I have this idea that there's this incident where Timmy uses the wand as a drawing tool that makes what he draws becomes real. And once Timmy realises that, as usual, he goes, "I can get away with so much with this amazing thing that happened!!!", but alas everything he does will backfire on his ass so hard in the end that he has to force himself to learn on how to utilize magical stuff properly without him suffering the consequences too lol.

The wand that Cosmo and Wanda gave Timmy here enables humans to use magic. But, not as powerful as the fae though. As for the reason..., I'm still kinda thinking about it. One of the many ideas I have is that, they gave it as a means for Timmy to defend himself if they both were unable to. (The wand can also turn into weapons, even fantastical objects. Like that star shooting gun Timmy wields in the Nicktoons Unite games.)

The wand that they gave Timmy can't really grant wishes (Cosmo and Wanda will be there for that), it is more of a magical object for offensive and defensive capabilities (this concept idea might change). Also, the wand is just a part of the binding accidental contract that Timmy is in with the fae. Think about how some magical creatures grant humans the ability to use magic in return for something, like maybe an object or a part of themselves.

Timmy actually doesn't use the wand as soon as he gets it. Instead, he's very avoidant of any magical stuff during his earlier days with Cosmo and Wanda. Plus, he really is quite bad at using it initially, like he can't get it to transform to anything the early times he's willing to touch the wand lmao. The running gag is that Timmy can't get the wand to work properly and change into the things he wants constantly (Like, it sometimes works but only in certain situations. Over time, he gets the hang of it tho. But, early on? Shit magic control hahaha)

Cosmo and Wanda's designs here are by @keyintheeye-blog! (It's so sparkly and ethereal wow. I did not think I did their designs justice here lmao.) I used their post on the updated AU designs as references here. If they didn't post that, I will just default on drawing them with what I thought they were wearing initially. White robes lol.

Hm, I'm still not sure how the fae would work yet (besides references from old myths) in this AU. Like, do they work under a monarch rule (like Oberon and Titania) or do they have a system similar to what the show has (the Fairy Council and Jorgen lmao)? Still, I'll speculate until I get more confirmation from them hehe. (No rush! You already know that hehe.)

I have so many ideas on the timeline of this AU, but I don't want to yap too much on this post lmao. (I might add on some of what I missed on my yapping connected to this post later.)

i've reached the investigation portion of danganronpa v3 chapter 2, which is the last point to which i had watched youtube content and thus everything beyond will be new to me. my chapter 2 commentary thus far:

kaito really just decided that he and shuichi were going to be best friends and shuichi didn't have any choice in the matter lol

nobody needed to tell me that kaito was the one incessantly ringing my doorbell, i knew it was him lol

i have been referring to tenko, himiko, and angie as "the girlies" and i am 100% confident that every single one of them is going to die before this game is over

lmao shuichi asking himiko "how have you survived this long?" same bro i also wonder this about her

kaito threatening to slug kokichi and then kokichi literally bolting out of the room is the realest thing that has happened in this game so far

i've made a habit of clicking on ALL the characters every free time to see if they have any fun dialogue before i choose who i actually spend free time with. on i think the first free time slot in chapter 2 i went to kokichi who said something about being scared that kaito had caught up to him because he was afraid he was gonna slug him (or something along those lines), and then when i talked to kaito he immediately said "you seen kokichi around anywhere?" implying he had indeed been looking for him to deliver said slugging. made me laugh my fucking ASS off

by sheer dumb luck, i had gotten the parasol from the monomono machine in chapter 1, so i was able to talk to tenko before doing the flashback light scene in the gym and unknowingly unlock what i later found out was one of the secret scenes (and let me tell you i was delighted by this development and that it happened naturally). and thus i was able to witness ~the girlies and keebo at the pool~. subsequently, i have SO many questions lol. tenko kind of implied that she kind of wanted just to hang with himiko, and angie was probably there because himiko invited her and tenko can't say no to himiko, but why did tenko invite keebo? lmao tenko you're such a hot mess

during the free time session i was planning on hanging with kaito first, but then i spoke to keebo and he asked so vulnerably "shuichi if you have free time would you like to spend it with me? there's something i want to ask you" and i changed my plans SO fast i would die for you keebo

"maybe someone like miu would appreciate his mechanics" shuichi you're not trying to play matchmaker are you?

lmao there was a stark difference in shuichi's reactions to that day's free time events with keebo and with kaito, both of which involved them talking about their skills/stuff they'd learned. about keebo, shuichi said "okay...he's weird and i don't understand him." about kaito, shuichi said "wow, kaito's incredible!" these were incredibly similar interactions. lol okay tell me how you really feel shuichi. you can't tell me he doesn't have at least a little bit of a crush on kaito

hm a "gyoza in the shape of a face - a dumpling that's modeled after someone you swear you've seen somewhere before." hm gee i wonder who that could be. (definitely doesn't look like makoto naegi or anything. haunting the narrative much?)

the fact that korekiyo was definitely in the top half of most reasonable people i spoke to in this chapter is a sign that the world has been flipped upside down

every one of these games has had one weird, obsessive, one-sided, and likely ill-fated romance, and i knew this time it would be tenko's weird thing for himiko. i can't believe i'm saying this but i feel a little bad for tenko. a little, at least. i get the feeling i won't be feeling bad for her in the future. for whatever reason, i get the sinking feeling that in a future chapter this obsession with himiko and her jealousy over himiko spending time with angie is going to end with tenko snapping and someone ending up dead

actually why is everyone obsessed with himiko? tenko claims to care for her and wants to support her and believe in her magic, and she definitely wants to get in her pants, and angie also wants to be friends with her and has successfully brainwashed her to her atua cult and convinced her to put on a dangerous magic show. and like, why? himiko is not that cool, she's lame and pathetic. she eats termites on accident, can barely go to the bathroom by herself, and is super fucking lazy and uncooperative. i get that she's afraid/sad and is susceptible to brainwashing (she's not the only one here easily manipulated *cough cough* gonta), that part's understandable and i'll give her a pass, but like what is she bringing to the table? i don't get why all the girlies are obsessed with her. i'm with shuichi on the "how did you survive this long?" train of thought. i'm torn between "tenko you deserve better" and "all 3 of you toxic girlies fucking deserve each other"

definitely my favorite event thus far has been miu and da boyz clowning on kaito in the casino. true teenage bonding experience. (and i mean da boyz literally, all the boys who were alive were present except gonta and keebo, who is only debatably a boy.)

"i guess you can't underestimate luck" you did it, you boiled down the entire character of makoto naegi to one sentence

but fr tho every time someone utters the word "luck," "hope," or "despair" in danganronpa games i feel myself suddenly at FULL attention, like those words aren't there by accident, there's always hidden meaning there. and i am once again wondering at the lore/secret behind this particular game, i still don't know what it is

immediately after this casino event is when i finally spent free time with miu. it was the first time i'd approached her as shuichi and she didn't threaten me. and she was even in the casino when i approached her! where we'd already spent time together clowning on kaito! so it was perfect timing

speaking of miu, she needs to get laid SO bad. maybe she'd chill out. like she acts like she's had a bunch of sex but given how much she talks about it there's no fucking way she's gotten laid, she's absolutely projecting her insecurities. someone nail this girl please it's what she needs and tbh it's what we all need. side note: kiyo telling her to stfu in the casino was fucking hilarious lol

question do the friendship fragments not carry over from kaede to shuichi? i had updated report cards from hanging with gonta, keebo, and maki as kaede, but they're not there anymore. do i not get to keep the friendship fragments that i earned from them?

another question, was i just not allowed to hang out with maki in chapter 2? every time i approached her during free time she fucking threatened me. did i the player do something to lock her out or is that simply not allowed?

bro tenko is gonna fucking lose her mind. i approached her in i think the last free time and she was just muttering himiko's name over and over again, big yikes. and then "my saliva makes injuries heal faster can i spit on you" girl what???

i think tenko needs to move on, perhaps to one of the other girls. miu, perhaps? if they could fuck i think this would solve some problems for both of them

in the bug room, kokichi said something about a "mean" difficulty and not being a coward in the killing game and i felt so called out lol, because i have all the trial action set to be as easy as possible lmaooo

keebo my beloved saved the day in the bug room and got the first major non-verbal victory in the keebo vs. kokichi war. i'm proud of him, but this will definitely not be the last of it

i do wonder what "snafu" kokichi was referring to when he was running around that caused him to be late returning to the bug room. they never addressed that, and i hope they get to it during the trial

bro did kokichi get rabies or something???? right before the magic show, gonta said kokichi wasn't there because in the bug room his mouth bubbled and then he passed out lmaooooooooooo

what were kaito and maki up to this entire time? making out? aside from ryoma, they were the only ones who were absent from both the bug room and the magic show. miu and kirumi weren't in the bug room, and kokichi wasn't at the magic show and left the bug room for a portion of time, but those two were nowhere to be seen for any portion of both events. i need some answers

noooo don't use keebo as a battering ram!!! that's so rude!!! kokichi definitely won that particular battle in the keebo vs. kokichi war, and we are nowhere near over. i want to see where this rivalry goes, 'cause tbh i think it's secretly the most tense one here

i have some HEAVY suspicions about who i think is the culprit. and tbh i've held these suspicions since before i even played the game, back when i just watched some youtube content up to this murder. i don't know what will happen from this point forward, but if i'm right about who i think did it, i am gonna be SO stoked about it

okay i just talked to every NPC in veilstone because it's been a long time and man sinnoh's NPCs are peak, at least out of the 2D games i feel like they provide the most humor and the most random lore tidbits and stuff. i love this region. i'm going to talk about it

first off sinnoh is full of little things like this. random dialogue/flavor text that ties back to the mythos of the region. i love how widespread the sinnoh myths are

i'm also obsessed with when there's two NPCs that link together like this. you talk to one and you move on and then you talk to another and you're like oh! lmao. by the way the rage candy bars being here is cool because sinnoh is canonically connected to johto through the sinjoh ruins and the rage candy bars are from johto, which means they're imported and sold here. in general i'm obsessed with the locations in pokemon that have special treats associated with them, like the pewter crunchies of pewter city in kanto, or the lava cookies from lavaridge in hoenn. iconic

btw don't worry lady literally everyone sucks at making poffins. unless you have four players it's pretty much impossible to make poffins that are better than the storebought ones. good luck getting four people with rare berries who are good at the minigame to play with you, ESPECIALLY in 2023 jesus christ. the basement poffins are OPTIMAL

anyway in speaking of linking NPCs, these two - i wonder if the dialogue in the french version of this game is turned into english? they did that for lt. surge's french pikachu trade, the french versions of HGSS make the pikachu english instead lol. but anyway as usual it's very fascinating to me how much pokemon loves to drop foreign language in its titles, and fittingly i know a lot of people with english as their second language got interested in learning english from a young age due to wanting to play pokemon. how many kids do you think got interested in french because of dialogue like this. the girl even implies what the meaning of his words is

veilstone isn't short on game hints either, useless to me now as an adult longterm pokemon player who knows all this stuff already but still really cool to see. if sinnoh is your first time playing pokemon, those hints on trade evos and stuff are always appreciated.

of course, funny dialogue too that got a wheeze out of my nose, not uncommon for pokemon NPC dialogue SDKFSFDK some of this shit takes me so offguard it's like extra funny

i like terry and ron having a found family type of bond, and i promise ron will end up meeting samantha at some point lol, and i have a lot of notes about ron's character because of his background and everything, they aren't all supposed to fit into specific dnd archetypes or classes, but some of them like sparrow, nick, and terry have actual dnd classes lol, im really just fucking around with the loose concept of faerun, tbh i kinda see nick as both a bard and a fighter type of character? yk?

the necklaces with the single green bead that both lark and sparrow wear actually hold some cultural meaning for oakvale that im still working on, but i came up with the concept a while back so we'll see if i decide to talk about it

their stories do end up intertwining but this is the basic background info about their stories, and there will be more revealed when i get into making the s1 dads info cards as well.

terry and the twins probably took the longest to color and draw because of how many details are on both of them, especially terry's parasol bc i drew that without looking up a reference so i do hope it actually looks like an umbrella...nick was a bit hard to draw just because his face is partially covered and grant was actually fairly easy and i love how his design came out since ive been attempting to figure out a s1/teen design for him for a bit, obviously this isn't it because he's in fantasy attire but it's close enough that i have the gist of the idea..i made him look so pale lol, i imagine carol is pretty pasty and darryl isn't too tan either so...white boy is very white indeed

Leo/need: Flyaway or Teratera orrrr Voices. These are actually the only l/n comms I even really like. Voices only started to grow on me after hearing the Luka and Shiho cover of it. Writing this answer made me go check out the full version of Teratera for the first time and they really left the best parts out of the game huh. So maybe if I have to pick one it's Teratera.

Moonlight is my favourite, the melancholic vibes will always be number one for me (this is in no way foreshadowing for the rest of this list, no way)

Wonderland x Showtime: I am in hell, truly, trying to pick just one and not every single one. Back when I started playing proseka for the first time I really adored Tondemo Wonders and it's still one of my favourites out of all proseka songs along with Potatoes but. This one is definitely between Mr Showtime and Donna Ketsumatsu. The angst of both of these songs, the melancholy!! I think it's gotta be Mr. Showtime though, I prefer the style of music of that song over Donna Ketsumatsu.

25-ji, Nightcord de: Since Kitty is not yet released on EN, this is easy, it's Samsa. I absolutely lose it whenever that song plays anywhere (my friends can testify to me going nuts at a con when a dance group doing N25 dance covers started playing Samsa). Used to listen to this song daily and I even read Metamorphosis thanks to liking the song so much (knowing the plot adds a lot to the song imo). Honestly love almost all of N25 comms though!

I really like kagepro songs and I'd like to include them here but they did something to the drums in the proseka versions that I don't vibe with at all.

Wonderland x Showtime: I thought I was in hell before... Nonsense Bungaku comes to mind first along with Goodbye Declaration. Honestly I don't think they have a single bad cover... You know what I'm gonna make an exception and use a song that's not on EN yet, I think my fav cover from wxs is Childish War (though they missed a huge fucking opporturnity by not making it a Ena and Akito cover, seriously). That song is like the second or third vocaloid song I ever liked, so it has a special place in my heart, enough so that I'm planning on doing a pair cosplay of the Kagamine twins in it with a friend (also the og MV art is by Miwashiba!! I love their games and art a lot!) I think it's a superb cover, Tsukasa yelling it is very fitting and all that.

What's your take on what's going on in Princess Quest?

TLDR; General take on the timeline of events would be; -Vanessa makes Princess Quest as an intern at Silver Parasol Games -Vanessa gets glitchtrapped before finishing them(but continues working on them whilst Glitchtrapped) -Vanessa moves to the Pizzaplex and abandons PQ -SPG ports the games to arcade years later for some reason and they end up in the Pizzaplex -A piece of Vanessa gets trapped in the PQ machine as the Shadow Princess as well Glitchtrap deciding to make it basically its home Then it splits down two paths; Path A: -Princess is her own character that helps Gregory defeat Glitchtrap and free Vanessa from his control, then dies once he's gone as all the PQ machines shut off and eventually get destroyed when the Tangle tries to tunnel out of the Pizzaplex.

Path B: -Cassidy is the PQ Princess who possessed the machines after Glitchtrap started inhabiting them, but wasn't able to do anything to defeat him on her own because of how the machines are set up (with them needing someone to play them in order or else the others wouldn't turn on) -Gregory comes by and helps Cassidy get through the games and defeat Glitchtrap -From here I'm not sure. I would assume Cassidy would go back to UCN once Glitchtrap is dead, but the mystery surrounding this theory makes me think that, if this is canon, they'll be elaborated on later which makes me think they're not (entirely) gone.

Honestly I've got a few takes- it really depends on who you think the Princess is, her identity changes the entire plot depending on who she is. It's tricky trying to piece together PQ since there's just so many possibilities and so many pieces of the puzzle we're just missing currently.

My most "stable" interps across every take is basically that Vanessa made Princess Quest with Tape Girl (or on her own if we're going more canon-oriented since we don't know if the two know each other), and that's why it's connected to Vanessa specifically. And also a piece of her is trapped inside and shows itself through the Shadow Princess (cause I have no idea who else that would be). I think it'd make the most sense is PQ was something Vanessa made as an intern for Silver Parasol Games that they later ported to arcade for some reason, and they ended up in the Pizzaplex where they were then tied to Vanessa and Glitchtrap.

First take would be that the Princess is her own character who just wants to help Vanessa be freed from Glitchtraps control.

Second would be Cassidy being the PQ Princess- the theory just makes a lot of sense to me + I think it could add a lot of depth their character. The only thing I don't really like about it is that people would probably see it as some sort of gateway for other spirits returning- I don't want old characters returning, I don't think it'd be a good idea from a writing standpoint. But Cassidy would make the most sense since they're the only spirit we know hasn't moved on yet (besides Willy A. but he's suffering in hell for eternity), and that being specifically cause of Afton. Someone mimicking their killer and hurting people using his legacy, I feel, would be a good reason for them to come back for a bit just to knock him down again and then go back to the real deal.

Below is a kinda huge Cassidy PQ rant I ended up going on by accident lmao

I like thinking Cassidy is the Princess because of the old man in PQ2 that has the same palette as OMC and talks similarly to him (iirc he literally tells the Princess that her quest is over and she can rest, but she ends up not listening and going through the glitched door to continue her quest. Sound familiar?), as well as the princess being golden (yknow, like golden freddy and TOYSNHK spirit) and having her name in the files originally be "Cassidy", and there obviously being some sort of force outside of Glitchtrap infecting the machine with how they work- how you have to beat them one at a time in order or else the others won't turn on/let you play them. That and also there were the graves in PQ1 that seemed like an obvious hint at the MCI/dead kids. But then they took Cassidy's name out of the files- which doesn't negate the rest of the evidence, but it also makes me wonder why they took it out. I see people argue that it was a mistake and it was meant to be a hint at Cassie, but I genuinely don't see the tie between Cassie and Princess Quest + the rest of the evidence doesn't line up with Cassie. They have to bring PQ up again eventually- there's so many mysteries about it and if Cassidy is the Princess or has some sort of ties to the Princess then I wonder if that'll ever be brought up again.

I like thinking that Cassidy is canonically the Princess and is gonna be brought up later, or was meant to be the Princess in SWS mind/story based on a miscommunication with Scott.

But if PQ ending is canon I'd imagine Scott would have a heavier say in stuff like the PQ arcade machines- he said he had a clear idea of the canon ending for SB and that miscommunications made it a bit muddy, but I'd assume he was the one that wrote the PQ games or at least had a heavier say in them cause they're literally the keys to getting the canon ending in the first place- and there's no way everything that ties back to Cassidy is just a huge coincidence.

Idk- I just hope they elaborate on Princess Quest and the other arcade machines, whether the Princess is Cassidy or not I just want more information and clarification lmao

i have quite a few!!!!!!! in no particular order:

ice, im not much of a slippery physics guy but its just so fun to move around with in kirby games!!! obviously its at its best in forgotten land

parasol, my main in the original kirby fighters and just really really fun . its the most kirby copy ability to me if that makes sense

bell, i wonder why LMAO

doctor, its moveset is super super fun, i always mained the equivalent to it in the clash games

mirror, really pretty sounds and a fun moveset

staff, my main in kf2 and is just overall really really fun. sun wukong mention

and some i just think are neat: mike, ranger, poison

i generally gear more towards fun controls than power when picking my favorites . i tend to forget about the other moves in the 2d games (hence why i dont mind the shaved down movesets in forgotten land) so if it has a special way of moving or a fun gimmick/design its probably higher up on my list than others. but my opinions dont matter because at the end of the day im a base kirby enjoyer LMAO

News: Update on A Guide to Technician Modes

All the 13 modes' movesets (not art, I'm dealing with that later) are finally finalized, thanks to the help of a few friends! Due to this, I'll probably start illustrating them throughout the month.

Though, that makes me wonder... how should we tackle this? A part of me wants to start over from the Normal Mode onwards... mainly because there's a mistake (lmao the color of the scarfs are wrong) or because of old art style... But that could be hard to work with, since I have to redraw or ctrl+c ctrl p every single weapon (and renewing old ones that I think needs revamping, including Parasol and ESP).

...you know what? I'll leave it to you, viewers.

What else is there…umm, new sky season introduced a new area that has a place that looks a suspiciously lot like the home area when you first start the game, and also behind an abandoned and broken down village that you’re helping pep up again! If you check the map it shows you how each area has an unvisited place, so I think we might be getting a bunch of new places here which is pretty exiting because it seems like we‘re getting more info on what’s actually the deal with the world.

Also getting really hyped about the upcoming Genshin Update. All I saw was from people freaking out about it on tumblr and YEAH because WHAT is going on. DEATH SENTENCE!? Parasol lady falling into the French-people-dissolving juice? Was Furina possibly pulling the strings all along? Do I need to speedrun maxing the sad dragon man to get all the voice lines in German before they vanish because he’ll be fucking DEAD!?

WAS FURINA THE PREVIOUS HYDRO ARCHON FAKING HER OWN DEATH BEHIND A NEW IDENTITY ALL ALONG

Either to then figuratively have "the Hydro Archon Focalors“ be killed and take her place as her old self again, OR, to deceive the sad dragon man by gaining his trust as a childish new Archon who’s nothing like the old one because it’s Very Implied that the Archons stole their power from the dragons which he is one of, and then screw him over and gain total power once and for all, because it’d explain why she’s the only Archon whose Vision symbol is missing on the background of the character art
