How do you believe Theistic Evolution interacts with other aspects of Christian morality and tradition? I mean, obviously the commands of God are the commands of God - but what new perspective do you think a Theistic Evolutionary viewpoint gives?
Oh my goodness, so many things! Broadly, though, I'd divide the implications into two groups: God's character and the unity of creation.
God's character
Theistic evolution is (I contend) the only framework for understanding creation that has an equally high regard for both Scripture and scientific empiricism; thus, it makes a very profound statement about God's trustworthiness, and about our confidence in him as the arbiter of Truth.
Seeing God's fingerprints in the creative process over the course of millions of years gives us a real sense of his patience and tirelessness. As Chesterton might say, he never gets tired of saying to the replicating cell, "do it again."
We also get a beautiful picture of God's sovereignty over creation: he is the God that knew, from the first time two organic molecules crashed together, that he was creating Man to glorify and enjoy him forever.
In the story of creation through evolution, we see a God who transcends time, but also works within it to bring about his sovereign will; who is endlessly patient, who is clever and inventive, who has an eye for beauty and a love for tangents and (ostensible) dead ends. What does it tell you about God that he spent millions of years creating the platypus? That he created dinosaurs at all? Through theistic evolution, we see a creator who plays across the vast landscape of time, creating endless forms most beautiful. Most importantly, we see a God whose wonderful works are faithfully recounted not just in the pages of Scripture, but in the very substance of the world he created.
Unity of creation
Knowledge of evolutionary history pushes us to think about our own embodied nature, our creatureliness, and our place within creation/the biosphere. We are united in lineage with all other creatures, both living and dead. We are embodied in the same carbon as every other living thing, deliberately, beautifully. This pushes back hard against the strains of "flesh bad" gnostic dualism that have run through our faith for pretty much its whole history. Heaven is not our "real home"; our destiny is the New Earth. God has woven us into its fabric.
Jesus stepped not just into the human lineage, but the lineage of the whole earth! In becoming flesh, he took on our place in the tree of life. Jesus shared DNA with Mary and her family, yes, but also with bacteria and brachiosaurs and banana slugs. While Christ died for the sins of humanity in particular, His stepping into the unity of life points to a future in which all living things are to be redeemed.
We must take the Biblical call to environmental stewardship very seriously then, if the rest of the biosphere is not merely our dominion but something of which we are an inextricable part. Evolutionary theory calls us to reconnect our theology and the created universe. In the same way that Scripture calls us to care for the world God created, evolution tells us of our direct relationship with the rest of creation, which implies a duty of care.

OMG OMG OMG I cant believe I get to see the open requests after so long!!! Hiiii Aubrie, it's Jeff simp anon, missed you lots!!! Let's seeeee...Could we get some headcanons of Jeff's weird habits/talents he randomly discoverd? Things that no one would expect. Im sorry if you already did this or something similar, I haven't been around much lately, and if you did, you could write anything you like including Jeff. Kisseeees <3
Hello hello! Welcome back! I was very happy to ramble about Jeff for you this morning, so I hope you enjoy <3
I'm just gonna kind of highlight these two since I've said them in other posts, but Jeff bounces his leg obsessively and he plays with straws in his drinks whenever he has one. Whenever he's sitting down, his leg is bouncing, and you or someone else will have to sit next to him and firmly place your hand on his leg to get him to stop bouncing it because otherwise, he will not stop. He also taps his foot when he has to stand still for a really long time, like in a line or something, which makes him seem impatient but really he's just stimming. He likes to move straws around in his cups with his mouth, and he'll bounce the straw up and down with his hand (he tends not to do it in the cups with lids that make the squeaking sound when you do that), and when he's done with his drink he pulls the straw out and puts it in his mouth and bounces it up and down. Nobody knows if he's aware he's doing it because none of them feel confident enough to ask.
Randomly discovered he could do a perfect backflip one day. BEN probably dared him to do a backflip or said he couldn't and Jeff was like "Just fucking watch me" and he just did it. Perfect execution, perfect landing, the first time he'd ever done one. Now he does backflips at very random, mundane occasions to show off and be dramatic and everyone is tired of it but that just makes him want to continue doing it more.
Does duck lips when he's reading. When he is just reading anything at all for an extended period of time, he will purse his lips into duck lips and just hold them like that until he's finished reading. He didn't realize he was doing it until one day he randomly snapped to attention and realized he was doing it, and he started paying more attention and realized he does it every time subconsciously. He hopes that nobody has noticed he does this. (They have.)
I haven't brought this up in a while, but my mans can SING. I feel like he never really tried to, until one day he was listening to a song he really liked at the time, and he just started belting out along with the singer and was like holy FUCK I can sing, and now he sings very regularly. He's gotten better over time but he can match and carry a tune pretty well. I also said this in older posts, but when he's dating you he would LOVE to sing for and with you. He doesn't care if you can sing well or not, he just loves singing with you because it feels very domestic and sweet to him, and he loves singing songs for you and he'll nuzzle into you and hold you close and just quietly sing to you if you're sad, or he'll sing loud and boisterously if you're feeling silly, he just likes to do things like that with you.
Really really good at doing people's hair. Jeff has long hair himself that he is incredibly proud of and incredibly emotionally attached to, and he loves styling his own hair, and I feel like he began practicing on other people in the mansion very randomly, and realized he's pretty damn good at it. So now he's the hair guy. If someone is going out for a night on the town or an event and they need their hair done and can't or don't want to do it themselves, Jeff is the stylist of the mansion. Also can give pretty good haircuts in certain styles so he does that every now and then too.
Last but certainly not least, he can perfectly every single time successfully do the cotton eyed joe dance where you go in a row crushing cans with your foot on beat. He's never failed at it.

hello! i hope you're doing well ^_^ i just wanna ask about your favorite headcanon of rus, cana and ame (if you're up for it, no pressure, i wanna see what kumajirou looks like in your style)
i like your art! don't mind me if you see me liking your posts hehe
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello (^_^) thank you... Your art is very beautiful I'm honoured... Sorry if this is kinda late(?) my brain works best when it's the middle of the night. I wrote this in my notes at like 3am...
My headcanons are really messy and subject to change so keep that in mind 🙏 Gonna put them under a read more cause they're pretty long and I rambled on and on.. Got carried away sorry!! Also it's kind of cringe at some points but that's okay. To be cringe is to be free.
---
Rus: My beloved... He's cute, yes, but also very creepy. (I love a creepy rus) I see him as this character that's always looming over everyone, always watching... He likes how docile and obedient Cana is, and with Ame... well... He likes the challenge.
He likes the arts... And I believe he's an incredible poet and dancer. I like to think that Rus spends his free time writing hauntingly beautiful poetry in a journal of his since there are a lot of beautifully written Russian literature... That journal could also probably work as his diary too because why not. He also does ballet and figure skating, and Ame probably calls him gay for it, this irks Rus but that's okay. He'll rip the tongue out of that American's loud mouth one day. He just has to be patient. (that last part is cringe but my rusame brain told me to write it)
For music I think he'd like classical (tchaikovsky) and metal. I also think he'd visit old abandoned buildings just to see the ruins. Maybe even appreciate the architecture? He finds beauty in the decay.
His relationship with Ame is a game of chess (Rus loves chess, so he loves whatever he has going on with Ame), each move calculated, each interaction charged with unspoken tension (they never reveal their love for eachother... the only time that would happen is probably in life-or-death situations but with their immortality that's practically impossible – actually you know what?? Scratch that. No confessions... Unless drunk or under the influence of something maybe.) With Cana, it's more like a delicate dance, appreciating his gentleness but always aware of the fragile nature of their bond – he's aware that cana and him are only really bound together through Ame.
---
Cana: Neglected boy (eng and fra both coddled Ame more) ... Envious of Ame but still loves him – he's frustrated. He knows so much about Ame but Ame knows nothing about him. Ame doesn't care enough to bother learning about him. It's unfair. I believe he actually has Kumajirou for comfort... But even his pet bear doesn't remember him (to be fair, he doesn't remember Kumajirou's name either.)
For music taste, I think he'd like shoegaze actually... it's calm yet messy-ish and it matches well with his vibe. (Totally not just projecting my music taste onto him)
He dislikes being in the shadow of his brother but he does appreciate his brother sticking up for him. Doing all the talking for him. He doesn't like new people usually. They never understand. (Never understand his freak.. yes Cana has a hidden freak to me.)
He genuinely gets along with rus. They're more similar than they initially thought after all. I mean they're both shy (to a point), both live in cold climates, both have weird relationships with ame... And both are connected through Ame... Rus and Cana both recognize that they are intrinsically tied together only through Ame.
---
Ame: Insufferable (put him in the eternal torture chamber!) Even so, Rus and Cana are still drawn to him like moths to a flame. Type of guy to test the limits of his immortal body... I wish Hima did more with their immortality because that is such an interesting subject. Probably has more DUIs than you can count. Has crashed a plane on purpose. No way you can be the United States of America and not end up crazy.
For the Cold War... Ame was genuinely disappointed when the USSR fell, he was like "well... what now...??" Because for several decades he had a villain to match his hero... But now that Rus fell off... what now? He misses the thrill and rush of it (he's a thrill-seeker... Type 3 fun typa guy). Also, he knew nothing would actually happen anyhow because of M.A.D (Mutually Assured Destruction) no one would actually drop bombs.. right? (they had a few close calls). Maybe the cold war was just one big edging session... (Lmfao sorry had to say it)
Okay adding to the above thing but the paragraph got too long for me. Another reason why Ame thrived in the cold war is that Rus had his singular attention on him. Just him. He loved that. He loved having all of someone's attention. He can't help it. He's just a girl! 🎀 (Kinda yandere-ish vibes but I fw yandere ideas so... Actually all 3 of them could be yandere in the right mindset.)
To me, Ame is the kind of person who thrives on adrenaline, always seeking the next big rush – he's also a huge sucker for attention. That's why he does the crazy things he does. For attention. After all, what is he without attention?
With Cana, well this is a me thing but I like to think that Ame is actually quite clingy with his brother.. He's one of the only people Ame allows to touch him.. Ame's not a very touchy person. Ame does crave genuine connections and Cana is one of the few that can offer that. They're each other's one and only brother after all. That has to mean something.
His relationship with Cana? Complicated... They seem good from the outside but Ame barely knows anything about his brother. Cana could say a million things about Ame but Ame could only respond with maybe a few hundred or so things about Cana – heck, maybe even that would be stretching it. Although, Ame does care for his brother in his own way, truly.
Last little thing I'd like to add: Ame has a collection of vintage stuff. I don't know why. Vintage things just scream American to me. Like old comic books..

White Hoodie Pt. 1
What if you were the white hoodie unnie?
A/n: GOODNESS. Our baby is now 18 which means she's an adult 🥹,
I've always written for eunchae but it's been more like teenage sneaking in and out, innocent relationships. I would like to and prefer to keep it that way as even though she's not a kid anymore, she's still young and i don't feel comfortable writing smut for eunchae. But! I will be adding more intimate things like kisses and possibly makeouts, or other small things like feeling each other up but no groping and stuff, only around the waist, arms, hips, thighs, things like that. Or just mentions of it and letting you guys imagine whatever you want to. But even i'm not 100% sure if i'm going to write about those things, it's just a possibility. So as for now (and probably a while), No smut for Eunchae.

Y/n Pov:
This was insane, Lesserafim being here was insane. I wouldn’t consider myself a die hard fan, that was more.. my sister. I was born in 2004, late 2004 though. In December. But Lesserafim definitely has a few songs that i liked and i've watched a few of their things. I know their names and all, but i wouldn’t say im a fan.
At least, not a huge one. But Eunchae.. She's cute, she's really cute. She keeps looking over here, i can only tell from the screams around me, im only half paying attention to the performance, im joking around a lot though, i always do. I love making people laugh; it's fun to me.
When the music stopped and they were talking, i was still joking around until i heard eunchae speak up.
"I have something to confess.. From the moment i've stepped on this stage, there's an unnie that i fell in love with, the unnie with the white zip up hoodie.. and the dress shirt inside"
My eyebrows furrowed slightly as we locked eyes, the other members looked over too, eyes were everywhere. They turned to look at me as i chuckled softly, my friends shoving my shoulder as i nodded to the members on stage.
"She's so pretty, and she seems extroverted and funny, everyone around her keeps laughing and she seems to keep joking around, it's like.. shining over here. Her smile is beautiful too. She's like manly in the most womanly way possible, god i don't know how to explain it.. she's tall, and handsome. But so womanly at the same time- i don't know just- ugh.. what's your name?"
I just smiled softly at her fumbling over her words, i could tell she was trying not to offend me, the soft blush on her cheeks and the way she was scratching the back of her head. Cute. It was all so cute.
"Y/n."
"Pretty" Sakura spoke up "Really pretty" Yunjin added as i nodded and spoke up softly "thank you" "Your voice is pretty too, pretty name, pretty face, pretty style and pretty mannerisms, how old are you? what's your major?"
I just laughed softly at what sakura had said.
"Born in 2004, i'm in medicine" "Medicine? What are you in school to be?" "I'm actually double major, business and medicine, i wanna own a hospital." "Woahhh" The members immediately spoke up as my friend playfully shoved my shoulder, making me chuckle softly.
"That's still a long trip away. Just gonna finish up school for now, work on something like a clothing line for a couple of years.. i already have one, actually. And then be a doctor for a while, and hopefully open up my own hospital one day"
"That crazy" Eunchae spat out as it made most of us chuckle "That's just a dream though" "You said you have a clothing line?" "I do, yeah" "I'll give you an album and some merch in exchange for some stuff too" She kept just rambling. It was adorable.
"Yeah, deal." "So.. dr..?" "my last name is too long, i'm not korean." "Japanese?" "japanese and thai." Her lips formed an 'O' shape as the members giggled, tugging at her wrist as she nodded and they started up the music again.
But this time.. I paid attention to the stage.
...
I opened up the signed album that i had received, actually, i got two. One for my sister, just signed. But mine was a little different. I had a few pieces of lesserafim merch and a message.
'Hellooo, i'm sorry if this is coming off a little strong but you're still stuck in my head and i think you're really cool. Send your instagram or something over to meeee (only if you want to ofc)
02-478-2568
- Hong Eunchae <3'
I giggled at it. It was cute. Really cute.
...

"sensei, can we go to the airport?"
yuji suddenly asks, looking up at his teacher, who was seated beside him. "airport? why do we need to go there?" probed satoru. "my big sister's coming back from australia today. normally, she would only come back for vacation but...now that our grandpa has passed, i guess she just wanted to give me some support." yuji responded with a mellow smile at the thought of his big sis, he's missed her so much.
satoru pondered for a moment, before giving his student an accepting grin and a thumbs up. "i don't see why not! i mean if it's for my student of course i'll accept" he said, pearly whites showing as he stood up, which was soon followed by a gleeful yuji. "really? thank you, sensei!" yuji's smile widened, to which satoru returned with the same gleeful smile. seeing his students happy in this damned world was enough.
☆★☆★☆★☆☆★☆★☆★☆☆★☆★☆★☆★
"so, what's your sister like?" satoru asked curiously, hands gripping the steering wheel as they drove to the airport. (unfortunately, he had to drive) yuji's eyes lit up at this, finding this the best opportunity to ramble about his big sister.
"she's the best sister anyone could ever possibly ask for, except her teasing, she still treats me like a kid even now.." yuji started, obviously passionate about his beloved big sister. "she's well versed in arts and crafts, and even she even opened up a small shop in australia!"  she's talented, satoru thought, feeling the gleefulness of his student from the driver's seat. "she sounds impressive," he nodded with a smile, a pause following soon after. "is she pretty?" satoru felt bold at the moment, not sure why. maybe he was just curious, yes that's it, right?
"very! she's basically the female version of me, sensei!" yuji replied, to which satoru chuckled imagining a vague image of yuji's sister in his mind. "can't wait to meet her then!" satoru nodded with a cheeky smile as they got nearer to the airport.
the weather was surprisingly pleasant, the sun shining down from the large patch of blue sky, covered slightly by white fluffy cumulus clouds creating a breezy atmosphere that isn't cold but not too hot. the traffic wasn't too much of a bother as well, they got to the airport as quickly as they left the jujutsu technical high school.
the only predicament was, the airport is jam packed with people. yuji frantically searched for his big sister, since her plane had landed thirty minutes ago. even with satoru's height, it's still quite hard to look around properly, he didn't quite know what yuji's big sister looked like in person, yuji just described her to be a feminine version of him.
that is until he sees his student's eyes light up, rushing towards someone, almost pushing everyone that was in the way, engulfing a shorter girl with the same pink hair as yuji in a bear hug.
"you've grown so much, yuji! you're taller than me now!" the pink haired woman said, stepping back to look at her little brother (that's not so little anymore). satoru couldn't see her very well, unfortunately. "i missed you lots, nee-san! i brought sensei with me, come meet him!" yuji takes his sister's hand and leads her to satoru, who was somewhere at the entrance of the airport, leaning against the wall.
to say he was infatuated by her was an understatement, hell, he was enamoured by the woman who stood before him. she was short, her hair shone a strawberry pink like her brother's, her eyes, oh her eyes were beautiful, they shone like a pair of gems, and her smile, they were so bright and warm, almost like the gentle rays of the sun. she stood out from the rest of the crowd.
"hi! you must be yuji's sensei. i'm (____) itadori, his big sister. nice to meet you..uhm, sorry what was your name again?" you greeted with a smile, small dimples showing on each side of your cheek as you held out your hand for him to shake.
your voice snapped him out of his euphoria, it sounded so angelic, he wanted to hear your voice everyday. satoru's mind felt absent as he looked down at you, you were really more beautiful than he had imagined you to be.
"sensei?" yuji queried with concern, making satoru shake his head, that same charming and handsome smirk appearing on his face (he was nervous). "sorry sorry, nice to meet you too, miss (____). i'm satoru gojo." he held his hand out as well, meeting yours, his hand was larger than your hand, almost swallowing it whole.
you smiled as you shook hands with him, feeling a small electric spark when your skin came in contact with one another, though you paid no mind to it.
"yuji has told me all about you, mr. gojo! thank you kindly for taking care of my brother. How could I possibly repay your kindness?" you said with a slight bow, making satoru feel slightly embarrassed  (for the first time ever). "no need, i was just doing my job as a teacher." replies satoru, clearing his throat. his adam's apple bobbing up and down as he swallows. hard. why was he so nervous in the presence of this woman who he just met? he was so used to flirting with other girls (despite being a virgin) but.. you. you made him nervous.
"oh I insist, mr. gojo!" you chuckled, lifting your head up, straightening your posture. yuji tugged at your sleeves, making you look at your little brother. "what is it, yuji?" you ask, tilting your head sideways. cute: satoru thought. "i'll go to the bathroom for a bit" yuji says quietly, earning a nod of acknowledgement from his sister. "sensei" yuji gives him a thumbs up before rushing to the nearby restrooms of the airport.
"well that was something" satoru laughs as he stands there, quite awkwardly now that he's left alone with you out of all people. you on the other hand, only laughed at his awkward response. "now, back to my statement: how can i repay you for taking care of my brother, mr. gojo?" you ask once again, you were stubborn like your brother, almost.
satoru comes up with an absurd idea in mind, he hesitates, this was going to be a bad idea. "your number," satoru responds, his throat becoming dry from the sheer nervousness he was feeling. "you can repay me by giving me your number, miss (____)." he continues, it was insane how he was able to keep his smirk up despite his palms beginning to sweat.
you were silent for a moment, your cheeks becoming rosy by each passing second. it wasn't always you encountered a man who was bold and smooth enough to ask for your number, and actually become successful at it. you chuckled as a response, your chuckle coming out as embarrassed instead of happily as originally intended. "really now?" you whisper, your index finger scratching your cheek lightly, before you came up with an idea.
you rummaged through your backpack, finding a thin black marker in one of its pockets. "that's a pretty bold move you got there, mr. gojo" you bite back a smile as you take his left hand and begins to write your number on his palm, you looked so adorable in his eyes, with your half-lidded gaze concentrated on writing the numbers on his skin, your visibly rosy cheeks, and your hair that was annoyingly in the way of letting him see your face in all its glory.
slowly, satoru lifts his free hand up to tuck a thick strand of your pink hair behind your ear, since it was in the way. a seemingly harmless action yet it made you divert your attention from his palm, to his face with slightly wide eyes, and suddenly, your gaze felt like a spotlight, it was as if you were looking at him like he was the only man in the world.
you clear your throat, stepping back to give him his space, and then put your black marker back in your bag, eyes studying the numbers that you wrote on his palm. "there"  you say simply, with a small smile. satoru stands there, seemingly in a state of euphoria for a moment before shaking his head, cerulean blue eyes looking down at the black ink drawn on his skin through his blindfold. a lopsided smirk appearing on his face. "now for some reason, i feel quite special to have a cute girl's number in my contact list. thank you, miss (____)." he responds, his smirk turning into a cheeky grin as he stuffs his left hand in his pocket, careful not to smudge the ink on his palm. after all this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
in return, you huff out a laugh. "(____)'s fine, mr. gojo." you chime in, your voice seemed so soft to him.
"i'm back!" yuji yells, catching the attention of the two adults as her runs back from the restrooms. "why don't we grab a meal? my treat" you say, smiling at the two boys, in which yuji returns with an excited nod. "i don't mind, but it will be my treat, i insist." satoru offered, "oh no need, mr. gojo. i insist." you reply,
"i insist, miss (____)"
"no, i insist, mr. gojo!"
"why don't we just divide the bill?" chimed yuji, making the two adults that stood in front of him think for a moment before coming to a conclusion.
"oh alright, that seems fair." you nod, looking up at satoru, the man nods as well. "then it's settled, let's go!" satoru grins excitedly, staring down at yuji and back to you.
"let's go! i'm starving!" yuji groans, taking the first step forward, and you smile at your younger brother, a sweet, nostalgic smile.
satoru swears to himself that he was going to win your heart, your soul, all of you. you were perfect from head to toe.
and he sure as hell isn't gonna let someone like you go.

Soooo what I’d been meaning to ask for was Han + ✊🏼 from the second prompt list, I feel that that might show a different side of him and I’d be curious to see you tackle that 👀
pairing: coworkerjisung x fem character
genre: fluff (but with a rather mean boss), workplace au
rating: PG/T (man, these drabbles are so sfw)
word count: ~1800
warnings: some belittling from a supervisor, a lot of internal thoughts on part of the mc, adoration of jisung (as per my usual), probably too much talking (it's my default writing style). I think this is pretty safe honestly. both jisung and mc are in their mid to late twenties.
a/n: my dearest @candlewaxandp0lar0ids. it's only after I've written this that I'm not even sure if he's actually being protective. so I'm sorry if I completely got this wrong. i heart you, though, and our random conversations that include just rambling about jisung.

It's Just a Crush
Having a workplace crush is, in your mind, stupid as hell. You know it’s more than likely just because of proximity, the drama of meeting deadlines, late-night scrambles of finishing that one important project, and realizing you haven’t been out on a proper date in almost two years.
So, you recognize that your crush on Han Jisung is more due to circumstances than him.
Not that he isn’t a great guy. He works as hard as anyone on your team. He goes out of his way to lighten the mood, even when it’s way too intense because of the pressure of your bosses practically breathing down your necks. He never remembers anyone’s coffee order, but still buys an assortment of concoctions when it’s his turn to get coffee so that hopefully everyone can find something they like. He’s wicked smart and quick with ideas, and even when he zones out during the more boring practical stuff, he never minds when you remind him to pay attention.
He usually blushes when you say something, but his smile is always bright.
He’s not always on your team when you have a project, but you are sure that when he is, the project turns out better. Maybe you just feel better.
But it’s just a workplace crush. Other than the team sometimes going out for drinks after the final presentation, you’ve never spent time with Jisung socially. Usually, you sit across from him at the bar, knowing that more proximity will just make you crush on him even more. Not that getting to see his expressions, how he listens to the others or when he occasionally glances at you make the crush any less. But surely, watching him is better than being near him?
You think you have this dumb af crush under control. Even when you have one too many drinks out, you haven’t said anything too revealing. Maybe you were a little flirty two weeks ago when you said something about his eyes. But everyone was talking about the best features on a person and though you have a long list for Jisung, you only mentioned his eyes.
“How long have you worked here?”
You wish you were currently looking at Jisung and his pretty eyes instead of at your boss who doesn’t have pretty eyes, or a pretty smile, or any of the kindness that Jisung radiates.
“Five years.” You state carefully. You aren’t stupid. You know by the tone of his voice that this is not going to be a fun conversation.
“Five years. Five years and you do this?” He tosses the stack of reports at you. They land on your desk and the floor. The draft from the air conditioner picks up a few and scatters them. It’s going to be time-consuming to get it back in order. “It’s beyond subpar work.”
You aren’t sure how you are still looking him in the eyes even though you want to curl up and hide for a little while. Why does he have to chastise you in the middle of the office? Why is that public humiliation necessary?
There’s a voice behind you, saying your boss’s name.
“It was all of us, sir–”
You want to tell Jisung to hush. To not get into the line of fire. It’s not worth it.
“She’s…” The boss points at you. “In charge. She’s lead.” He glares back at you. “Though I regret making that decision.”
It isn’t your first time in charge of a project, but you’re still relatively new as a team leader, and all the doubts you have when you’re named ‘in charge’ are justified with every word your boss says.
“You always say that every team is as strong as the weakest link, sir. So if something is wrong, it’s all of us.” You don’t see Jisung, but you feel him. He’s left his desk (several yards away) and is standing next to you, his hand almost brushing yours.
“Han…this conversation does not include you.”
“Sir. I looked over that project last, so if something is wrong, it’s on me.”
He’s lying. You glance at him then. He’s looking at your boss, so you only have his profile.
It’s a nice profile, nearly distracting you from why you turned to him originally.
You delivered the statistics, the reports. You looked over them last.
Why is he lying?
Your boss glares at both of you. “Just fix it. Before I have you delivering coffee instead.” And he turns and stalks off.
It’s quiet for what feels like minutes, though it’s probably only seconds. Everyone eventually starts quietly talking and going back to work. The show is over.
Jisung squats down to gather some of the papers. It jolts you (you were still staring at him) to do the same.
“You okay?” he asks softly.
You swallow. Truthfully, and logically, you know this is not a big deal. This particular supervisor is more than often way too critical and dramatic. He’s not the ultimate boss, the one that decides your fate. You know that mistakes happen and mistakes aren’t life or death.
You know all that, but you still kinda want to cry.
You don’t trust your voice so you nod.
He stacks the papers on your desk as you finish grabbing the last few sheets. You finally meet his gaze.
The prettiest eyes, looking at you with concern.
“Jisung, you didn’t have to–”
“Yeah, I did.”
“You lied.”
He shrugs, seeming content to stay in his squatted position. “So?”
You sigh before standing to set your stack of papers on top of his. He stands as well, his hands sliding into the pockets of his trousers.
“If you get in trouble because you lied…”
He makes a face at you. “He doesn’t care. He just wanted to feel like he’s in charge, like he’s important.”
“He’s our boss.”
“He’s still just a person.” Jisung taps the top of your hand that is still resting on the flawed project. “I’ll stay late with you so we can figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it.” He rolls his eyes. “Because pointing out what is wrong is too much for him.”
“You don’t have to. I’m lead and it’s my responsibility–” You carefully draw your hand away from his touch. Your crush does not need the encouragement.
“Too bad.” He grins at you. “Still gonna help.”
“It’s Friday. I’d hate for you to stay here–”
“And I hate you have to, so again…too bad.” He interrupts you again.
You huff.
His smile grows. “I’ll finish up what I’m working on and join you in a bit.” He walks back to his desk, eyes finding yours over his computer and he winks at you.
Dammit.
It’s eight at night and you and Jisung are the only people left in the building, minus security and the cleaning staff, though neither are on your floor.
“I don’t see anything.” You say before letting your head fall to your desk. You feel a pat pat on top of your head. “Are you patronizing me?”
He laughs. “Maybe a little.”
You lift your head, aware that you probably don’t look your best. It’s the end of a long week, a very long day and your hair tends to like to lose whatever style you forced it into by this time of evening.
He is also reading through the reports carefully, eyes going left to right, line by line. You must be tired because you don’t look away.
Which you don’t realize until he says your name.
“Sorry.”
He glances up. “What for?” His cheeks pinken. “You gonna say something about my eyes again?”
“Did I embarrass you?”
He shrugs. “Not really. I mean, a little, but that’s on me, not you being nice.”
“Okay. I wouldn’t want to embarrass you, Jisung.”
He holds your gaze and you wonder if maybe you got it all wrong. Maybe workplace crushes are one thing and your crush on Jisung is something all its own.
You’re pretty sure you’d like him if you met him in a bar, at a bookstore, on the subway; anywhere.
“I’m beginning to think that he just made up that something was wrong so he’d have a reason to be an asshole,” Jisung says, setting the project down before resting his chin in his hand. “Or my brain and eyes no longer work.”
“Seems like the first is more likely.” You mirror him, propping your head up with your hand. “I know we should finish this tonight but I’m not sure we’re going to be able to.” You stretch your arms over your head. “I’ll come in Sunday to work on it. Maybe some time away will help.”
“You shouldn’t have to come in on the weekend.”
“According to bossman, I shouldn’t be in charge either, but what can you do?” You laugh, though it’s not enough to not sound sad. When your hand comes back down, he covers it with his.
“You’re a good leader.”
You look down at his hand on yours.
“I–”
“Really. You always listen to everyone’s ideas. You never say any are dumb even when they totally are. You make everyone feel involved and invested. You’re a really good leader.”
You can’t think of what to say.
“Did I embarrass you?”
You force your gaze from his hand to his face. He’s got that quiet smile, soft.
“Yeah, but same as you. It’s more me trying to accept a compliment than you saying it.” You force a smile. “Thank you.”
He leans forward a little. “You’re welcome.” His eyes (you swear you’re not making this up) fall to your mouth before darting back up.
“Also, thank you for earlier.”
He cocks his head to the side in question.
“Sticking up for me. Even though you shouldn’t have.” You barely notice that you’ve leaned closer as well.
The blush darkens on his cheeks and the tops of his ears.
“Wanna get a drink?”
You blink a few times. “What?”
He scratches the back of his head, eyes leaving yours. “I mean…now. Dinner and a drink. My treat.”
“Umsure, but you don’t have to–”
“I want to.” He swallows nervously. “I want to stick up for you, help you out, take you out. And I really want to kiss you, but I feel like kissing you at work is kind of a gray area on professionalism.”
You really can’t think of what to say.
He lets go of your hand, abruptly getting up. “Unless you’re not interested. Which is fine. Totally acceptable and I won’t ever mention it again–” He stops when you stand as well.
“Dinner and a drink.” You reach out to straighten his tie. “And a kiss.”
You see his shoulders drop in relief, and those pretty eyes spark with mischief. “Just one?”
Later, when his mouth is on yours, his hands gripping your waist; you lose count of how many kisses.
You decide a workplace crush turning into a workplace romance isn’t as stupid as you thought.

raph vs a volcano day 20
The 1987 episode plot:
Donatello's health scanner predicts Raphael has only 24 hours to live. Raphael goes around doing good deeds and taking ridiculous risks because he's gonna die anyway. Meanwhile Donatello figures out his machine didn't work right and means to tell Raphael, but you see he is distracted doing good deeds and taking ridiculous risks. It culminates with Raph inside an active volcano (trying to stop it from erupting? bro??) and his brothers have to come rescue him.
I love this episode. For so many reasons.
1) What an interesting way to give Raph his role while keeping him in character within the new role they gave him for this show. Because Mirage Raph is the guy who always wants to help without pausing to think about whether they can. He's known for sometimes being impulsive and always being protective. And not just of his fellow turtles! He sees someone in trouble he wants to help. But usually in Mirage that's expressed with violence. So for the show they made the "crazy one" express the same traits through sarcasm instead and he became the witty one, and I love how future Raphs are both. And I especially love when 1987 Raphael himself is both
2) This is such a classic plot. It's like... the tribbles spoof/tribute or 'character gets kidnapped but acts so annoying they get released.' You know the kinds of plots I mean right? Our style of storytelling has changed (it's always changing) but tv shows in late 80s early 90s especially had these. You could pretty much guess the plot from the title because you know the characters and you know the story. The exciting reveal is mostly the jokes. There are words for what I'm saying but I haven't had an english class in a few years, so take this ramble and trust me. It's a beautiful example of whatever this is. And!
---2a, It doesn't have the classic resolution that 'character thought they had one day to live due to a misunderstanding' would have on a kids show. There isn't a 'moral' about seizing the moment and using your time wisely. There also isn't a moral about communication, so instead of the miscommunication being annoying like it would in a preachy episode, it's gloriously hilarious to watch
3) Speaking of that, the obligatory 'he tried to ask' scene is Raphael watching Michelangelo cry on Donatello's shoulder because "I'll miss him so much" "I'm sorry there's nothing I can do for him" it's the oven. The oven is broken. Michelangelo is sobbing in Donatello's arms like his world is ending because they're going to have to get a new oven because this one's beyond fixing. And Raphael fully believes that Michelangelo is begging Donatello to fix him, when this version of Donatello is so very none medic. Like I don't even know how to describe why and how much I love this scene. I think I killed english
4) The scene of Raphael in the volcano. I just. He's so funny. This episode really captures what I love about the whole show, which is that I am absolutely buying into it and feeling deeply about it, and simultaneously enjoying it ironically. Does that make sense? When you can put your whole heart into unironic enjoyment but your brain at the same time gets it's 'make fun of this' treat. So both types of fun at once.
---4a it's not trying to fix the plot holes it's enjoying that in this format you don't have to. I feel like this is severely under utilized in modern cinema. make things not make sense on purpose for fun. don't explain about where they are, how they carried that object with them, why there were not other consequences for certain actions. The fun thing about stories is they don't have to be realistic unless you want them to
so for today I had intended to write a Rise version of this episode. I think it would work well for them. Plus, Raph and Donnie bonding. However. That is going in drafts and will be coming. later (march for raph is my opportunity to collect drafts for the rise turtles apparently.) I'm actually still debating if Donnie would make a health-o-meter or if something goes down in witch down, but either way, ❤️💜

HOLY SHIT IT'S DONE!!
I was having some intense posting paralysis all morning (I think I reread the last scene like 15x just to make sure it was worded exactly right).
*he terrifying fear when you write something you really love and you're scared no one else will like it as much as you do*
ANYWAY -
Thank you so much to everyone that's been regularly reading slash commenting on I Found You! It was my first time posting fic to tumblr and I had a lot of fun doing it!
I always have SO MANY ideas for fics, but I get overwhelmed by the idea of seriously perusing them. A lot of this comes from the fear that no one will read them and I'll have spent all of my time writing for absolutely nothing. BUT I've been trying to humble myself lately and recognize the joy in the writing process itself and the satisfaction of getting my ideas fully fleshed out on paper aka google docs regardless of the attention they get.
Despite that, anyone who writes fic understands how shitty it feels when you work for DAYS on something and get crickets in the comments. It sucks. And that's sort of how I've been feeling with my fics on Ao3 lately- which kicks my motivation right in the ass.
In writing I Found You, I think I got some of that motivation back. Not JUST because I was getting regular commenters (again, thank you so much) but also because I was able to slip fully into my self indulgence and finally write out one of the verses that's been existing in my mind palace for MONTHS!
So, all of this rambling is to say this -
I really liked sharing this story with you guys on tumblr, and I'm for sure going to be doing more of this style in the future.
I'll be posting I Found You to Ao3 as well, but I want to edit it a bit (and possibly add a few more scenes) before doing that.
Basically the version I posted here is more of a rough draft, and then the final version will be the one on Ao3.
If you like my writing, consider checking out my Reader/Eren long fic "Ten Seconds" (100k, complete on Ao3) or the post-canon Jean/OC fic I'm working on "The Letters She Wrote"
If you read all of this, then here's your reward - a sneak peak at the VERY LONG isekai/time travel fic that I'm going to be working on next...
Chapter 1 - "You, 2000 years in the future"
Shiganshina High - 2024
You’d taken Ancient History as an elective to fill your schedule because no other class fit in the period.
Also to piss off your dad about not taking AP calculus.
(But mostly it was the schedule thing.)
It wasn’t that you disliked Ancient History, you just found it painfully boring and mind numbing. It was the class right after lunch and every assignment was another boring paper that sounded the exact same over and over and over again.
(Although it did leave you wondering how many times you could start a paper with “the oxford dictionary defines discovery as…” before Mr. Arlert, the ancient old man who taught the class, caught on.)
Thankfully, you didn’t have to put too much effort into the class to get a good grade and because of that the class was an easy A that you could use to maintain your honor roll. Mr. Arlert was retiring at the end of the year, so he was pretty much entirely checked out. You had a feeling he didn’t actually read any of your papers and gave your grades out based on how well he assumed you did the assignment. Which, again, meant you got an A on every one. So Mr. Arlert had a habit of putting on documentaries instead of actually teaching anything.
And you weren’t about to complain about that.
Armin was sitting next to you furiously taking notes on the documentary that Mr. Arlert, his grandpa and teacher, had put on. You understood his struggle to impress his grandpa in the class he taught on a personal level. You used to be like that when it came to math, but now you normally felt yourself doing the opposite. “The opposite”, meaning:
Not taking AP calculus.
Writing the wrong answer on a quiz, even after doing the work to prove the correct one.
Asking pointless questions in class just to see him get that constipated I-can’t-treat-you-like-my-daughter-right-now-because-you’re-my-student-but-god-do-I-wish-I-could-ground-you look.
You smiled at the memory, feeling quite pleased with yourself, until the monotone voice of the documentary playing at the front of the class pulled  you back into the present:
“The ancient people of Paradis elected large walls, presumably to protect themselves from invaders during this time.” You looked back at the projector. There was a poorly done animation of what historians suspect the three large walls may have looked like, back when they still stood almost 2000 years ago.
The documentary, just like every documentary Mr. Arlert put on, seemed pretty pointless to show to a class of eleventh graders who were already very aware of the mysterious history of Paradis.
You’d all grown up here and had been taught about this stuff since grade school. Paradis was a major hub for ancient history. There were dozens of museums throughout the island, all holding different ancient artifacts and pieces of your country’s history. Pieces that’s functions had been lost to time, leaving archeologists only able to guess the true history of your people and what these items were for.
“...purpose of them is still unknown, some archaeologists theorize they were used for early agriculture, although others argue they may have been used for religious reasons…”
On the screen was one of the most mysterious relics of ancient Paradis. Two metal cylinders, attached to some sort of strap. Normally, they were found with a large box of metal that was meant to hold something, along with canisters of unknown contents. The were rare, but a few dozen of them had been uncovered in the last hundred years and have only continued to add to the mystery of ancient Paradis.
Of course, you were curious what their origins may be too, but not curious enough to look into it further than this class and the occasional trip you make to the Paradis Museum.
“...these large man-eating monsters were an important part of Paradis folklore, some argue they were likely worshiped as go-”
The bell rang, finally saving you from your mind numbing documentary focused torture.
“Ah!” Mr. Arlert jerked awake at his desk. “Yes, well- I hope you all learned something important today!” He quickly said as he stood. “Don’t forget, your final papers are due on Monday morning. Despite it, I hope you’re able to enjoy your weekend!”
You hoped so too.
God, did you hope so...

Something Wicked This Way Comes
Hello my beloved readers, it's been a minute. you might be wondering where i've been! On the 17th i fortunately recovered from my malady, but then my pharmacy buggered up my prescription order and i wasn't able to collect the actual order until the 21st, that unfortunately meant i was unmedicated for 6 days in total! not exactly conducive to getting any research done, never mind any writing, then my brother visited for a night annnddd this is the first real opportunity i've had to update you all since then. so, it's a Thursday night, im mostly drunk (yay) and felt the urge to tell you all how it's going!
on a less personal note, i would like to ask what you all enjoy most about this blog? the content? my 'unique' writing style? lemme know! i'd like to lean a bit more into a niche really since i've been pretty all over the place yanno?
anyways, below is a tease of a future post, ive had it more thana year so testing is complete, photos are taken, i just gotta write the review!
i hope you've all enjoyed my rambles, and i bid you all a good night, since i'm British and it's beginning to get late (i say that as if i won't be on here for like the next hour)
May your edges stay sharp, and your point true!

🎙️ and ✈️ for the ask game!!
✈️ Give a shout out to a fan artist / fic writer / etc. in the fandom that you appreciate!
Oh boy, get ready for a list.
@/lunacornfan2k24 has their AMAZING Celebrity Crush series that actually kicked off fanfic writing for the IEYTD fandom as a whole and holds up as one of my favorite fanfics I've ever read! All of the OC's are so fun, so real, and feel like they'd just be IEYTD characters in game!
@/rojaceartandgaming is the creator of Jackson "Agent Phoenix" Winters and has such a fun story going with his Out of the Ashes and Into the Flames fics! He's got such a strong personality and his rivalry with Juniper because they're both actors is such a fun twist! And that's not even touching on his other OC's, I Want To Punt Them! /pos
@/lavalampstealer has a super unique, silhouette style that I absolutely live for! They were a major art inspiration of mine and I get so excited whenever they're back in the fandom! I may or may not have stolen their idea of Kinesium making the agents glow (if I recall right?) and all around Cyan showing up on my dash always delights me!
@/neurotonic has such a strong artstyle with sharp shapes and bright colors and HOW ARE YOU SO CREATIVE??? Every art piece that comes from her is so neat, the body language, the expressions, I could ramble forever about how cool his art alone is, and then the OC's??? God tier, wanna be friends Black Mamba but I know they'd probs kill me.
@/an-asexual-idiot is another really cool artist that I'm always excited to see from! She's making the jump from Insta to Tumblr, so her blog's a bit empty, but her work is always so polished and detailed and I love seeing Gibson getting the attention he deserves. I am amazed by her backgrounds and would commit crimes to draw Juniper half as well as she does.
@/definitelyunhingedagentphoenix has hilarious incorrect quotes compilations that are always just the right amount of feral and is always feeding back into the fandom whenever I see their posts! It's a delight to see a string of them RPing out Phoenix getting into a problem or needing a loving family based on one meme post!
@/wyvchard is an awesome writer who does some pretty fun, pretty painful works! I'm living for their interpretation of Radio Host Phoenix, and their angst just hits different ngl- I've also gotten some of my favorite comments on Ao3 from them, they always put so much thought into them and make my work feel so appreciated in such a genuine way!
@/purplebehittindifferent AGH her COMICS. They're so pretty, they always melt my heart, and I am just thrilled to see them on my dash! The found family, the gremlin-y Phoenix, mom and dad Prism and Crane, the hurt comfort I LOVE them!!! They're so pretty and silly and sad and it's always neat seeing her work!
I could go on, this whole fandom is so gaddamn talented and we'd be here all night-
🎙️ What’s your favourite (used or unused) voice line in the games?
That's a hard one- honestly there's a few.
Again, obvious answer is obvious, "Oh, don't get any ideas, you're not going anywhere. As a matter of faaact~, you and I are gonna have a little chat" Is beautiful work from both voice actors and still gives me chills to this day!
But I also really like basically all of Zor's dialogue in KBOOM. "Ah, the creator and her creation working together..." "So you fooled Prism into believing in you... Well, even the great Phoenix will one day burn out..." "A bit late for that. And it seems Prism didn't die in the explosion at her factory either..."
Zor just scares me and I love them for it. The slightly patronizing edge, the condescension, the amusement. Zor feels so in control the whole time, and when they lose that control their mask only ever so slightly slips.
"Believe me when I say there's nothing worth saving at the agency... I would know.
IT'S SO GOOD

Learned about the release of this book real late, (as in, this February, when I decided that I wanted to show my roommate Epithet for the first time) but thankfully that was just in time to preorder a copy of the hardcover release, which finally came.
Or well, it came yesterday, and I'm finished reading it now. It was AMAZING.
The writing style is pretty different from the stuff I normally read, but once I got in the groove, I felt like I didn't need the audiobook (which I'm definitely gonna get eventually) because I could basically hear all the characters in my head. Also, spoilers for the rest of my review. Pick up a copy. You won't regret it.
I say review. This is disconnected rambling. Also, seriously, spoilers for the whole book delivered in a random out-of-context way.
This book is definitely Molly's story more than anything, and beyond that it's a story between Molly and her sister Lorelei. Two kids with epithets, and opposite personalities. There's a really masterful job here of balancing realistic family drama with the fun, villain vs. hero hijinks.
I love a pathetic loser, and so I was immediately taken by Rick Shades, and his quest for friends, to the point I was getting bummed out when he kept getting rebuffed lololol. However, it was all earned in the end. The scene with him and Molly was <3. Also, I am glad he's gonna get a job. Of some sort.
Naven meeting Molly in the street and just agreeing to give her speech training is an incredibly cute concept.
I liked the Neo Trio a lot, but they're surprisingly not the new faves I expected them to be, though I did laugh pretty much every time at the running joke with Feenie and money.
Actually, my favorite new character was probably Lorelei. We love a girl who's making every wrong decision and also just doesn't leave the house anymore and wonders what's wrong. Also, the Martin + Lorelei relationship was also pretty intriguing. He's more supportive of Lorelei, she's got more of his traits, but Lorelei needs someone who'll help her manage better. Martin's vague support of her 'playing', as Molly puts it, is doing more harm than good. I wasn't exactly sure how to take the fact that Martin constructs Lorelei's ideas in the real world, also. Is he plagiarizing? I wouldn't read it that way, but he's also not collaborating with Lorelei, so they could build something together. A relationship that could go either collaborative or parasitic, depending.
Also, I want Lorelei to get better (and I fully believe she will) but I really liked the end. She needs some time in the real world right now, to grapple with her actions. Neven's gentle support was good. Her and Molly need time apart, so that they can be able to be together again.
Gio and Molly remain duo of all time. Every interaction they have is cute and/or funny. Two characters I could probably enjoy watching/reading about doing basically any boring task you can think of and enjoy. Painting a fence, doing laundry, vacuuming, whatever.
Giovanni's complete blindness to romance was so fuckin' funny in this book. Him and Lorelei and him and Crusher were also distinctly different levels of complete obliviousness.
Also, Crusher and Molly, right at the end <3!! Pulling out the stool for her, her getting reassured by the fact she was nervous. Augh. So sweet. I've reread that scene like 4 times. I do hope we get Molly hanging out with more of The Boys. Crusher's coming across like a pretty gentle sweetie, but I'm very curious about how she'll integrate into the larger group.
All of that to say! Good book!! Would recommend! I'm extremely excited for Sweet Escape.

I am not posting much atm, here is why
heya, I'm pretty quiet on the posting front at the moment. This has several reasons. Since this might come across as a bit whiny, feel free to skip this personal ramble.
The good stuff first: I made a pact with my best friend and now we take a long walk together every week to increase our fitness levels. It encourages me to leave the house and get some fresh air and be in nature and it feels very good! We actually did a lot more together in the last months than just the walk, so I am quite busy and also often exhausted from the activity. I have also gotten back into Anno 1800 now that the game has reached its final state, and I am fixing some old mods that are not available anymore but I cannot live without, and I am also working on some of my own mods. The reason why I am taking a break from making patterns has mainly to do with the negative feelings I developed in the last months. I have been putting off writing this post for weeks, but my feelings have not gone away and I want to address this particular issue. Tbh, I often get aggravated when viewing my dash these days. I'm not the most emotionally stable person and my self-worth comes also from external sources, like feedback for my patterns, which is not ideal, but it is what it is right now. Lately, I feel that as a creator of recolorable patterns, I am being pushed deep into a corner. I've always considered myself a niche creator, catering to patterns kinda does that! But I feel like I am becoming obsolete, now that a lot of creators only make Sims 4 conversions and are usually not fully recolorable. I also fear that more and more creators will forget/will never learn how to make clothes and objects recolorable if all they do is add non-recolorable Sims 4 presets. I consider the Create-A-Style tool to be the most important feature of TS3 (together with open worlds). It is such a unique feature, and it breaks my heart to see that not being valued as such. I feel like we should celebrate that, and I try to with my patterns, but it's just so hard to keep it up when most creators do not seem to particularly care anymore. I wish more creators would make the good old Frankenmeshes 😥 I would love to see more ts3 and ts4 frankenmesh mashups. Creators would need to learn how to turn Sims 4 textures into greyscale ones and step up their uv-mapping game a bit, and then it could be a thing... There could even be an open library of recolorable sims 4 textures and remapped meshes that all creators could contribute to. That way, creators could use them and would not need to remake every texture from scratch by themselves. Over time, that would greatly decrease the effort that would need to be put in to make new creations this way... I know that most of you follow me because you really value my patterns and use them in your games, and I know that people who play mainly with vanilla content won't have that problem at all, as 99% the EA stuff can be recolored. But it's just that I see those non-recolorable conversions everywhere on my dash, and it is so disheartening. I guess as a creator, I want to feel welcome in the TS3 creator community, and lately, I do not feel particularly seen or valued as a member of that group. Maybe my Tumblr bubble has shoved me somewhat outside of the group that I would feel more valued in? Maybe I need to adjust my dash. But I do not want to unfollow everyone who posts these conversions. They are nice in their own right, it's just that I can't handle them very well right now. How do you deal with stuff that you do not want to see? do you unfollow people, do you block tags? I've been mostly avoiding my dash, but that does not seem like a good solution. If you post gameplay pics with my patterns or are a creator that makes their stuff CAS-Tool compatible, feel free to tell me below so I can follow you. Just seeing more people use my patterns would probably lift my spirits!

Just some stuff about writing lately.
I am doing a challenge this month to try and write 32k words before my 32nd birthday. It's going pretty well. I am about 64% done, but I only have four more days that I will be able to work towards it so... I might spend all day on my birthday writing (not the worst thing tbh!!).
I was expecting to write a bunch of one-shots this month because I've been busy, but I've basically only been working on Chaos Theory. I do have to start putting in some work toward my Bingo card though!
It's so strange. I was looking at one of my "older" (as in, written in January) fics recently and I am already seeing that my writing style has changed. I am focusing more on detail. My chapters are getting longer. I am using more dialogue, but fewer dialogue tags. I'm introducing more OCs.
The way I write has changed too. I jump around a lot more now. I am more willing to write through a part and then come back to edit it. I am also really enjoying writing scenes that are toward the end of the fic and saving them for later.
HOWEVER, I am getting so nervous about my plot (Chaos Theory) as time goes on. I feel like I am getting so long-winded and repetitive. I fear what I have planned doesn't make sense. I wonder if what I am doing is contrived and too convoluted. Of course, I want to keep writing, I just have very little faith in myself aaahhh!!!
The goal is to finish Chaos Theory before September. Stretch goal - I would LOVE to publish the final chapter on Squall's birthday. It is hard to say how much is left seeing as I've been going slower lately. I think we'll end at about 150K words, which would put us halfway through right now.
Oh also I have had 199 kudos on ao3 for WEEKS and it is killing me haha. LET ME BREAK 200 ALREADY!!!!
Anyway, this is just some rambling!!

slides in with question
List 5 things that make you happy, and put this in the ask box of 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you!
(btw you dont have to answer on the spot :3) (btwbtw: LOVE YOUR WORK /POS)
Things that make me happy? I have a lot but if it comes to here I guess I can think of some things.
1: I like it when people reblog my stuff, especially the things that aren't overly popular. Like half of my art that has a shit ton of attention are of the smiling critter things and then I look at my OCs that have... Like 2 reblogs and maybe 4 likes. So I like it when people look my OC art because I worked a lot on those (even the lore bits)
2: I enjoy getting comments and asks about little things about myself, it's fun to write about the things I like.. And maybe getting asks for my OCs? I LOVE WRITING ABOUT THEM PLEASE SOMEONE ASK CECE SOMETHI-
3: I don't know why people use the tags to comment on people's posts when they reblog things but sometimes it can be so funny to see their reaction, and it's unironically the funniest thing. Also some of the messages of the reblogged posts are so funny 💀. The McDonald's Gabriel thingy I did that kinda blew up has so many people being like "yes I'll have (a food from the restaurant)" but yeah. Now I'm kinda just rambling lol.
4: These last two are kinda tricky because these never happened (yet) and I'm sure any artist can relate to the sheer volume of happiness that can suddenly materialize within you, but it's when people comment about my art and how much they love it, I know that I'm good at art it's just sometimes I kinda doubt my ability or get down on myself when things don't get attention but I gotta remember it's the stinky algorithm.
5: For this, I hope one day it'll happen. But I love getting fanart of my OCs, so far it's really only been my small friend group whose been drawing for each other, and even from them I get happy about seeing my OCs in their art styles or just doing stupid shit. Or with their OCs.
But yeah that's pretty much what I can think of.
I don't know how to do the askbox shit so I'll just ping 10 people here and hope I don't explode from doing things wrong, please don't drag me into the shadow realm.
@angelcat123 @aprosin @clownpalette @cameraclown06 @gardensofcanaan @little-miss-impersonator @handhourgalleries @callie-flower @purpletrashsnake @izel-scribbles
(Also this totally isn't a promotion for my mother but guys please follow @handhourgalleries , she's my mom and she's very cool, her art looks so edible I'd eat her art as a late night snack. Do it now/j)

I just wanna say I know everyone is being really harsh to you, and you like made an account where anonymous and that such,
I apologize in advance English is not my first language:
I have to kinda agree one some parts. I don’t personally I have all the facts really but it’s just I think they poor alit if heart into their writing but I don’t want to express my love for it cause I’m literally gotten to the point where I’m terrified of them verbally or I guess text??? Berating me for it? I think their work really is lovely! But sometimes when they just say certain things it just rubs me all sorts of wrong or when they threaten to stop writing all the time a small part of me gets annoyed and goes “Okay stop then. Like stop. Calm down.” Now I do think we have to place ourselves in their shoes I mean having a fic that’s pretty popular and trying to address lots of issues (I really do like the issues they address within their books) but it’s gotten to the point where every post is just them berating something some did which most are totally valid points in being upset like yeah- But…I dunno I guess I get the vibe your feeling. And looking at your comments and the way the immediately started attacking you just…ew. Idk. I feel like alotof this about Lav has been popping up lately! And I feel that it’s totally valid they give me the same vibes as ah- some of the other writers I follow though so I feel they are just passionate? But every time they pop up on my page I kinda just go “ehhhh” cause it’s another complaint or a threat to stop writing. As for the “lumping them in” part. Idk I haven’t been keeping up I mostly read their authors notes and comments. And honestly I do feel that way. I almost felt shamed for liking their book? In a way? Which was so weird to read and like feel I’m sure that wasn’t there intention but I guess what this whole essay is trying to say.
Tldr: I don’t want you to think your alone in the view but I personally as like just an individual have seen this style of interaction before and I get it I get the view and appreciate what they’re trying to address but…It’s like they hate their own book or something idk and the way they immediately came on like “OMG THEY MADE A WHOLE ACCOUNT LOL” yeah. Cause they knew they would get that type of reaction and the internet is like that, it’s a place to express ya know?
Idk what I’m rambling about but uh yeah.
Thank you for this comment, it means a lot. You are right, the whole reason I made a different account was because I knew I would be blocked and harassed right away, as you have seen in the replies. My intention was never to harrass or demean them, so their reaction feels very unjustified. I don't disagree with some of their opinions, but the way Lavenoor is going about it seems unhealthy manner. I'm honestly worried about their mental health with the way they are going about things. I also fear people may get hurt if things continue this way.

HELLO CARLIE I am here to get u to talk about batman stuff
What got u into batman and why is the riddler ur fav? I am hella curious and i don't remember if we talked abt it!
-Chris! (@worldtravelercv)
LET ME BEAM YOU BACK TO THE RIPE YEAR OF 2004!! I am fresh to the world, 4 years old. I know what Batman is, because I have three older brothers. But I only watched live action silly Jim carry villains, and the colors and Tim burtony city were what stuck. Cool. Neat.
Fast forward. 200000007? Probably. BOOMERANG. I grew up without cable, and the internet for a while. Didn't get a phone until I was 14. so, late at night, while I'm watching the brand new box tv, what comes across my screen?
Well at that time certainly not robot chicken. The theme song was scary. So, the 2004 Batman reruns catch my attention on boomerang, and BOY did they hold it! Feral joker. Penguin being a greedy little criminal. And the Batman. Everything was dark, and angular, and when there was color it was BRIGHT. but it was used so well it made things seem intentional and wacky.
That's actually my favorite version of Bruce. I'm not really a batfam fan at all haha. Hard to keep track of the robins for me. But he was animated like a shadow, or a vampire, and was sharp like a villains design. Kevin Conroy has the best Bman voice, but this guy was my OG and a different spin on the hero's I'd seen so far.
the best version of everything is the the version we were exposed to as kids.
And I loved it! Penguin was definitely my favorite, and I'm actually not a big fan of the Batman 2004's Riddler lol. Just not my style, but INTERESTING. story wise sorta reminds me of the fox gothams Riddler.
He's different, very much so. We get NOTHING of Fox riddlers story before we see him which. Is usually such a big part of his character haha. He doesn't have the same "I'm better than you" energy either that I'm use to. But you know who's got it down just about right?
Arkham Eddie. I played the game at a friends house once, and he explained to me how Riddler progressively learns to outsmart you through the entire series.
He's like an underdog villain, who has SO much potential, but is sparingly used, because he's hard to write, and I hate that haha
To write a good, Compelling Riddler, you have to be smart enough to make, and solve, a complicated obstruction. He's never a toll bridge for the Batman, he's ALWAYS a speed bump. At first. Then he's a boulder, then a mountain, until you can't ignore him anymore, then he's not something you can keep beating up, you actually have to outfox him, and he's aware of it.
He's a good villain because super intelligent people often see things from all angles, and to keep a guy who's called the world's greatest detective on his toes guessing, is pretty impressive for a guy we don't get to see too much. And I think it's a shame.
Personality wise, I think he's funny. Like, accidentally. Have you ever played the Arkham games? HOURS of failing that stupid race track to the sound of him taunting you makes it very full filing to finally catch him, but I WOULDN'T know. That jerk.
At current though, zero year is my favorite. Greg Capullo has such a good understanding of drawing movement and lots of Eddie pictures portray so much action in a still frame, it's crazy, but, now you've got me rambling.
