I am suffering so hard rn trying to figure out the name of this computer program that my elementary school used to test us on English and Math. They had these cute little creatures that you can pick from, I think, at the start of each test.

Like, I'm pretty sure the English test was based on a submarine. Between each set of questions, there was a minigame where you would be in the submarine, shooting sea monsters or whatever, then get points and collect blue orbs. You had to avoid obstacles, but I can't remember what.

The Math tests were based on a spaceship. Then, like the English test, there would be a minigame where you shoot things and get points, but it would be aliens, and you avoided asteroids while collecting little blue orbs.

Like, fr. I KNOW this existed. I know it's somewhere, but I can't find it AAAA pls tell me someone on here knows wtf it is, or at least remembers it?! It was the only thing I really liked about school in general lol. I can't even find any mentions of it on my elementary school's website, so they might've stopped using it.

EDIT FOR ADDITIONAL INFO: The school I went to used them for benchmark tests. The question sections were designed to look a bit like a dashboard for the vehicle used in the course (spaceship for math, submarine for science) by having little circular windows on the top corners with either ocean scenery or stars outside.

Currently rewatching(or more re-listening-to) every single HuniCast because I swear, I SWEAR, there was a stream where Ed(or was it Micheal??) mentioned some storybook-style video featuring either an albatross or a seagull that finally builds up the courage to fly only to get literally obliterated by a helicopter. My friend thinks I'm nutty but I know it's real, I remember it so clearly.

The narrator had a straightforward voice that didn't break even through the comedic part. It was kind of like "moments later, Bob is dismembered" except something along the lines of "Then, the helicopter blade tore out (name's) intestines" or something like that. The video was literally just called something like "(name) the seagull" or "(name) the albatross". I don't remember which bird or what name, but I know this video is out there and exists and if anyone remembers please please please tell me :3

I realized I could get a very useful thing from Müller, a German drug store chain, after work. Then I got a call before I could finish writing my list, which is now:

- metal teeth zipper (20-25 cm)

- bug-killing plant spray (hopefully)

- thing I forgot

All my brain is offering is "white, flat, hard, rectangular". It's not card stock. It's not a dry erase or pinboard. Not edible. Not consumeable. It might be near the pet stuff, laundry stuff, homewares, sewing section or toys. For some reason, slidey knobs come to mind.

There's only so much this store sells and my brain is just "(: not telling".

So, only one thing for it: whine about it online as a form of putting it behind me.

"Just wait." You put the beanie on your head the top corners standing up on the sides of your head. "See? It looks like cat ears! It reminds me so much of your hair, I thought to make one so we could match."

A small smile formed on Logan's lips, finding the sentiment endearing. "Cute."

I have this little headcanon cause i was reading the comic of obey me and we as mc have been given the neutral name zephyr in the very early chapters since we are a sheep and all and they want to make it inclusive since the name itself is gender neutral but I was thinking that let's say one day the curse is solved and sheep!mc gets their body back but the characters continue calling mc zephyr, what if one day someone (probably a side or secondary character) brings up the fact that "hey you know what? Your face doesn't really scream zephyr" and mc is like "yeah that's because that is not my actual given name, my actual name is ________" and the characters are like "😱😱😱" I mean they did know that this wasn't their real name since they gave it to them cause they can't just call them human and all but it's still shocking to hear it coming out of their own mouth, they would also probably coo when mc tells them their birth name because it means they learn more about their favorite person, well I mean they would coo at everything mc does regardless so-

I saw someone (I’ve forgotten who!) post a couple months ago, asking if it’s ever established in canon whether Mairon ever found out it was Finrod in Tol-in-Gaurhoth. Short answer, after perusing the relevant text: no. 

My personal interpretation, for my own amusement: I think he’d figure out Beren, since his run-in with Luthien and Huan happened shortly afterwards, but had a complete Kronk moment with Finrod, years down the line. Like, you know when you’re an expert in a subject and some things totally fly under your radar, because it doesn’t occur to you that anyone would do anything that dumb? I think that, being a master of deception, he wouldn’t realize what Nereb and Dungalef stood for, not for literal ages, because who uses their real names just backwards/anagrammed when infiltrating an enemy stronghold (and arguably the most dangerous stronghold, second only to Angband), that’s just so stupid so stupid it actually worked XD 

(In his defense, there was a lot going on in the First Age. A Lot.)

But. 

I like to think it plagued him for years :)

I wanted to wait until Saturday to update the game, but since someone decided to share my work for me and behind my back, many of you already have access to it. I've decided to update the game today for those of you waiting patiently and decently

Let's be fair and honest!!!

Thanks to my betas (those who helped me for real, and not used!) I've been able to fix quite a few bugs, but it's with regret that in future I'll be taking care of the corrections on my own.

I'm disappointed and angry!

I'll put the demo online later today.

Oh and concerning the pirates, I've changed the password.
