Jude Jazza Route Theories Pt. 3: Stories,

The Moon Princess, & Promises ☾.

I’ve been cooking for a while (months), but because I had so many things I wanted to say and was hoping for more lore hints, I just let it simmer until it felt right. This will contain event spoilers. As usual, this is for fun, we can’t dogmatic about things, but it’s nice to theorize. I will say that this is more of a crack theory, but I think there is some basis to it. Theories are at the bottom, if you want to skip the other stuff. If you don’t agree, that’s okay, please feel free to kindly share your theories as well. This is a lengthy-ish post ☾.

Interestingly, twice in game, Kate tells Jude or tries to tell Jude (depending on the event) a story to help him sleep. This may not be significant at all, but since Jude's S-Rank bonus story mentioned the tiniest detail that Jude disliked the burning smell in that story, only for him to elaborate a few months later in Roger's route release CE why he hates that burning smell, I've since learned not to overlook anything. Keep this in mind as we thread along......

The Moon Princess: "The moon light illuminated behind Kate as she smiled widely, it blindsided me, 'n I felt annoyed at the sight, that she might vanish somewhere....I tug on her hand, and start walking to conceal Kate from the moonlight." - Jude, Evil Behind the Scenes, Premium End

The anxiousness that Jude felt in this scene was profound to me, I feel certain that someone left Jude behind in the glow of the moonlight, and this screams an ode to the moon princess's tale.

Admittedly, while I know there were some who felt there were hints of 'The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter', in Jude's lore, I personally didn't see it until this event was released. I'm not saying that anyone was wrong beforehand, I just couldn't personally pinpoint where some came up with the idea, so I never had an opinion on it.

For those unfamiliar with the tale, here is a synopsis: All about the little Kaguya, whom a bamboo cutter found and raised. Her body was so resplendent in a soft, bright light that it’d given off, that her adoptive parents decided to name her Princess Moonlight. In time she grew, and five suitors tried to woo her, but failed in doing so. Even the Emperor of Japan attempted a part from these five to make her his, but also failed. Eventually, Kaguya returned to the moon leaving those she loved behind, as they watch her vanish. If you want, you can read a translation of the story here.

Of note: The scroll is covered with flowers, as I’ve mentioned in my first theory post about Jude, flowers seem important to his lore. It’s a beautiful scroll. You can look at it here.

What's the point? One of the most profound things that I noticed when reading the tale of the moon princess, were the strong emotions that everyone exhibited. For example, the moon princess herself would sit out on her balcony night after night and stare dejectedly at the moon until she burst into tears. Sound familiar? Know of anyone in game that spends hours looking at the moon vacantly like they’re about to give up?

Am I saying that Jude is the moon princess?? No. What I am saying is that I feel that Cybird used the emotions from the story as inspiration of Jude’s lore. Well, I could spend hours discussing possibilities, but let’s move because we’ve got ground to cover…..

A couple of reminders:

Fairytales & Curses: Despite being cursed, Jude doesn’t pay any mind to things if they can’t be explained by science and logic. He confirms this himself in his Halloween POV epilogue. Additionally, in his bond story, he also states that he doesn’t pay much mind to curses. However, IkeVil does not shy away from the supernatural or paranormal, so Jude is often forced to face such things that he would normally dismiss.

Jude & Kate’s Past: I think we’re all on board that they 99.9% met as kids at least once during their childhood. DarkIF & GuardIF indicate this heavily, and in each of these a promise was made between the two of them. Not to mention that Ellis spills to Kate that Jude made a promise to someone long ago that requires a lot of money and manpower to accomplish. Therefore, it stands to reason that we may see them as childhood friends/acquaintances in the main story as well.

Promises: To be frank, there could be dozens or hundreds of things this promise could be and to whom it was made.

However, for simplicity sake, let's focus the theory on promises that could've been made as children between the two of them, such as meeting up again like they promised in GuardIF, or it could be that Jude promised Kate to do something that's likely impossible such as would've been the case in DarkIF. Perhaps, it's both? Maybe she made a promise to meet him again, and he promised her something impossible?

How can Stories, Princess Moonlight, Promises and other lore hints come into play......

An Honorable Mention: For what it is worth, I feel like Jude's route is going to deal with drugs in one way or another. And a part of me does feel that it could be possible that little Jude was drugged (not by choice), and suffered from hallucinations. Perhaps, in a beam of moon light, he saw the "moon princess," to whom he promises he will travel to the moon for her. Hence, his endeavors for space travel (assuming this is the case.)This is a weak theory there and we could branch of with a lot of lines of reasoning on this, but let's leave it where it is....

If we tie the fact that Kate has attempted to tell Jude stories twice to put him to sleep, along with the hints of Princess Moonlight's tale inspiring certain aspects of his route, and the fact that everything may be hinged on a promise made between them as childhood friends (a part from all the other lore hints)......

I theorize that when Jude and Kate where children, Jude probably helped Kate out, and in order to pay him back, he tells her to tell him a story since he isn't able to sleep comfortably living on the streets. Perhaps, they're sitting together somewhere under the moon light when Kate is frantically thinking of a story to that'll help the cranky baby sleep, and that's when she tells him the tale of Princess Moonlight.

Of course, fairytales are nothing, but nonsense to Jude. I could see him complaining that no one could ever live on the moon, and despite this, little Kate tells him that while that may be true, she wishes she could visit the moon one day because it was so beautiful. It could be that Jude looks at Kate in the moon light and thinks she is beautiful.

Perhaps, Jude loved Kate when they were little? True, we don't know if they even met, we are guessing at this point, but if they did meet, how many times did they meet? How long did it take for those feelings to grow, at first sight, a couple of times?

If there is any merit to any of this crack theory I'm writing, then perhaps, out of love for Kate and wanting to see her happy, Jude promises that he'll take her to the moon.

Just a simple, but rather grand promise made out of love.

Of course, it may take him at least 100 years to figure out a way to get there, but he'll take her there all the same. Unfortunately, fate wouldn't have them meet up again after that until years later. It could be that the last time Jude saw Kate was when she was saying good night to him under the moon light?

After a grown Kate clashes with Crown, Jude still trying to keep his promise of going to the moon. Why? Because a promise is a promise, even if it's a verbal one.

If they met as children, did they recognize one another at all? My guess is no. I do believe based on the IF stories, Jude will remember Kate first, and then she will follow suit. Hence, I think his trying to push Kate out of Crown will grow stronger, but eventually he will cave and let her remain with him. After all, he's let her escape once, he's not going to let her go again.

Alternatively, Kate may just try to tell Jude a story while she's at Crown castle so she can be "useful" to him, so she tells him the tale of the Moon Princess, and that strikes an angsty memory of his, and then we get an angsty side story.

Welp, that's all I've got. To be honest, it makes more sense in my head.......I can't wait to see how far off I am with this. I don't know, maybe he does think the moon princess is real???

I really like seeing Rolo defending himself before V.V.. For a 63 year old, V.V. sure doesn't have many intelligent things to say other than throwing the same insult over and over:

V.V.: Rolo was a failed product. For his life to be shortened whenever he uses his Geass... "defective" is putting it mildly. Well, guess he can be used for assassinations at least. Is it that Rolo's life was shortened each time he used his Geass, or that each time he used his Geass for too long he could die? Because, if it's the latter, then provided that he was careful, arguably using his Geass didn't affect his health long term, but if it's the former, Lelouch sure didn't mind making Rolo have to sacrifice his life span for trivial things like protecting him from girls during Turn 12... Opinion time: Even though I want to believe that Lelouch wouldn't actually knowingly allow Rolo to shorten his life span, as I'm convinced that he cared about Rolo during all that time he told himself that he hated him, I wish Rolo acknowledged that it was very cruel of Lelouch to manipulate his emotions, and that Rolo's only reference to how Lelouch hurt him wasn't just a vague 'Brother used me' (which is always quickly followed by 'but he made me human' so that the audience doesn't have to think much about how Lelouch did wrong). His Home or Trust lines in Lost Stories would have been the perfect place for Rolo to show us more of his point of view, but instead, as I complained last time, he sounds a little too repetitive with the 'Brother made me human' and 'I will protect Brother' lines. In the anime, because there's no time for more, proportionately Rolo gets much more focus, as in a few minutes he: -Rescues Lelouch against Lelouch's demands -Monologues out loud despite having no listeners -When Lelouch wants to know 'Why did you save me?', he makes Lelouch have to change that lamenting tone and join him in pretending that everything is okay by giving Lelouch an answer that Lelouch didn't expect Rolo is the one in control during those scenes, while Lelouch temporarily becomes a "secondary" (passive) character. And because we don't see what he was thinking between Lelouch yelling at him and him deciding to save Lelouch, it's possible to interpret that Rolo *was* in fact hurt and resentful that Lelouch never even attempted to give him (<-a child who had only known abuse throughout his life) that future he promised, and that Rolo giving up his life to save him was, partially, his own way of forcing Lelouch to always remember him (plus he also called Lelouch a liar, which, even though at first glance he only does to protect Lelouch from feeling guilt, could also be an accusation Rolo wanted to make and get off his chest). Lost Stories even depicted Rolo still asking Lelouch to keep his promise around Turn 16, but then we see Turn19!Rolo's thoughts and there's no hint of shock or anger after Lelouch reveals he was manipulating Rolo from the start? I think that is too selfless to the point where it becomes lack of self-respect... Well, back to the video: ・Rolo: I won't let them kill (Brother)! No matter what! Lelouch: Please stop! Do you want to die? Battle interaction between Turn5!Shirley and regular!Rolo (not Turn19!Rolo): ・Shirley: Hey, do you know where Lulu is? Rolo: You are going around wearing that...? ?! Why would someone like Rolo care what she wears... How does he even have a concept of what kind of clothing is appropriate or not?! Love his formal Japanese though. A different login bonus line: ・Rolo: Excuse me, did you see Brother? He left without me realizing it... And teacher Villetta was looking for him. Yet another Home line that I'd never seen before, but that he started using around a couple weeks ago (used by any of the 3 Rolos): ・Rolo: There are still things I don't understand (lit. "can't read") about you. I wonder if I'll end up understanding them if more time goes by. June line (any of the 3 Rolos): ・Rolo: Come to think of it, I have not ridden the motorcycle lately. It's probably the same for you, right? You know, seeing as it won't stop raining...

Yes!! Thank you for remembering Rolo's life contains more activities than just thinking about niisan!! I did not translate that as "my" motorcycle because I think he only ever drives Rivalz's and doesn't own one... Home line that isn't part of the in-game archive (Turn19!Rolo only): ・Rolo: This locket... It's okay if I keep it until the end, right...?

Twisted Wonderland Theory! May have future spoilers so please skip this post if you don’t want to risk getting spoiled.

I accidentally posted this before it was finished before, that’s why this might seem like a repeated post, whoops sorry. Edit: Also I tumblr keeps on messing up the format and making me edit it again ;-;

Anyways, It seems like a bunch of people are interested in learning more about this theory circulating among JPN twisted wonderland fans so here I am to display the possible evidence/hints. I had to use google translate to look at some of their claims and although it’s easy to just confirm on your own the claims I have to admit I couldn’t list some of their claims simply because I couldn’t understand what they were saying. Please keep in mind this is only a speculation and has no in-game proof or foreshadowing that I’ve seen at the very least proving it, so take it with a grain of salt. Now, onto the theory!

The Ace Betrayal Theory

This theory concerns our beloved Ace Trappola and concerning “coincidences” that point to Ace possible betraying us in the future. If you would like to look at the twitter posts yourself, search up エース 裏切り説し on twitter.

So first of all, the first thing that may point at things being not what they seem, or at least that something is wrong is the Heartslabyul dorm main characters. There are 5 main characters from the Heartslabyul dorm and in terms of cards it seems a bit odd that there is no sign of a joker within the dorm, of course you could chalk it up to Riddle being the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland so he doesn’t count as a “Heart”. With the “heart” suit being represented by Ace and Riddle, is it possible one of them could also represent the joker? In this case, when I say “joker” I don’t mean they’re gonna be like “surprise I’m actually a joker not a heart suit!” I more so mean that one of them will like a wild card. Given that Riddle already had his episode, and Ace’s status proven by the twisted wonderland opening to be a main character, could we say that Ace could be the “joker” of the dorm in a way? The wild card? Of course this point is based on perspective, if you exclude Riddle from being counted as a “Heart” suit then the dorm is fine, but if you count him as someone representing the “Heart” suit then the repetition seems odd.

There is one main concerning part of this theory that surely would be difficult to pass of as mere coincidence, and it’s Ace’s last name, “Trappola”.

In Italian is means  “trap/pitfall(a possible danger)".  

And Ace is the only dorm member to not have his suit somewhere in his last name, instead he has Trappola, a Venetian trick-taking card game where the Ace is the most powerful card. (Funny enough, it seems like the Deuce is the second most powerful in terms of points alone) And it’s no news to anyone who’s read Ace’s profile that he enjoys card games doesn’t he? What’s a trick-taking card game? It’s a tile based game where each round is called a “trick” and in Trappola, your goal is to take/win the trick. Funny thing is, in Trappola specifically, it seems like the player is awarded bonus points for taking a trick(s) with a Deuce.

There is also another trick-taking, or more so, trick-avoiding game called “Hearts” where you try to have the least amount of points by the end of the game. You get points by wining hearts in tricks in which the amount of points lost depends on the the specific card, with the ace of hearts giving the most points (something you do not want). A fan interpreted this in terms of twisted wonderland to be another pointer for Ace betraying the group just as the Ace of hearts in the game in a way betrays you because it gives you the most points, I personally feel like this is a stretch? But I listed it anyways in case you wanted to know.

Edit: It has been brought to my attention that the Red Queen and Jack of Hearts are from Alice through the Looking Glass and not Alice in Wonderland so the next point does not hold as much ground anymore, but I’ll leave it here anyways

Then there is Ace's similarity or possible link to a character within Alice in Wonderland, being the Jack/Knave of Hearts, who betrays the Red Queen (whom he was previous lovers with, and in general close to the Red Queen). Both Ace and Jack(or the Knave of hearts) have a heart on or around their left eye (our right). Both Jack and Ace steal a tart from the Red Queen (Queen of Hearts (Riddle) in Ace's case). Next, Both betray the Red Queen/Queen of Hearts respectively at one point (Jack tries to kill the Red Queen while Ace tries to take Riddle’s dorm leader position).Off topic coincidence, there is an otome game where the Jack of Hearts is named "Ace". Now this point’s coincidences seem difficult to be just “coincidences” but at the same time you could also say that Ace’s role as the Jack of Hearts has already ended since he has already had his failed attempt at overthrowing Riddle. The concerning part of this link though is that the Jack of hearts tried to kill the person they were at least it seemed to be very close to and at least loyal to (when in actually he hated her) while Ace himself wasn't very close to Riddle at that point, but who is Ace close to and loyal(?) to? MC and the gang ;-; But still take this possibility as a grain of salt.

Of course, we know Ace’s name isn’t Jack, or at least, hopefully he doesn’t pull a “Ace is not my true name at all! Instead I’m also named Jack/Knave!”. But he does have a older brother who once went to the same school, could it be that Ace’s brother is named Jack/Knave? We don’t know much about his brother besides it seems like he was rather relevant as he led a parade that is shown in a picture in one of the halls of the school and that he’s good at card tricks. And similiar to how the Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts are different, the Knave of hearts and the Red knight could also be different, with the Knave of Hearts and the Red knight being Ace’s brother and him. Still, we need more info to see how relevant Ace’s brother is in all of this.

Next we have the Twisted Wonderland Opening Movie, which has proven to spoil/hint at plot lines before with Azul as the opening movie teases Azul’s overblot form as well as his child self photos. Now in the opening a fan has noted that every character so far that has been seen alone (besides the part where they have the character’s names and dorms, this part (because Kalim appears and the dorm leaders have to be alone)

Every character that has appeared alone or a bit during the opening so far has overbloted, Jamil, Leona, (and we can guess Malleus and Idia will overblot). While every other character has been introduced with someone alongside them, for example, Epel only appears with Rook, Floyd only appears with Jade, Jack only appears with Ruggie, and the Diasomnia group(minus Malleus) only appear with each other. But who else appears by them self? Our boy Ace.

And Deuce who the OP proves alongside Ace has the same amount of relevance is introduced alongside Cater and Trey

Now for Ace to overblot, it probably means he’s gonna do something villainous like I don’t know, betray the group?

Now here’s the thing, does Ace’s character/personality have the potential to be evil/betray us? Yes, 100 times yes. This is the man who went up to us in the prologue and acted all nice and everything explaining the Great Seven, only to laugh (maniacally?) at our misery and ignorance claiming to have only visited us to mess with us and essentially mock us. If Deuce is the person who could and would (if you pissed him off) physically beat you to death, then Ace is the person to psychologically and emotionally torment/manipulate you, oh and verbal abuse too, he’s good at that. One thing I personally find very concerning about Ace is his hobby of card tricks, like aren’t you guys based off of cards? Are you trying to tell me Ace is good at manipulating/messing with people? 

Like we’ve seen Ace be good at acting and lying on two separate occasions in the story, one with us in the beginning, two with the guard at the underwater museum. In his personal stories, for example in the ‘A Kouhai This Honest’ story, Trey comments on how Ace did indeed have ulterior motives to helping Trey besides just wanting a cherry pie as Ace was trying to fish possible test questions out from Trey. This is their conversation:

Ace: “To collect information, I’m carrying all this heavy stuff~ Beside, Trey-senpai you too… You knew from the beginning I wouldn’t carry all this stuff for a pie with lots of cherry on it “

Trey: “ You… could it be you were lying about liking cherries too?”

Ace: “ That’s the truth. I learnt that from my big brother. “When you’re lying mix a bit of truth in it” he said”

And with the ‘Tch, I Got Found Out’ personal story he tries to take the profit all for himself:

Ruggie:  “ But anyway, isn’t it fine in the end? It wraps up without sensei knowing so your mark doesn’t get affected Anyway, I’m also… wait, Ace-kun!? Where are you going with that bag? That’s the mandragoras to be sold to the ghosts. Don’t just take it like that!”

Ace: “ Tch, I got found out. I thought I could sneak off with it while you two aren’t looking at me ”

Ruggie:  “ You were planning to slip out and take the pay all for yourself huh? What an impudent first year”

Jamil:  “ When I thought you were being all meek…You sure are bold”

Ace: ”Hehe, I’ll take that as a praise, senpais ♪ “

It clear to see Ace at times schemes for his own benefit, whether that is taking advantage of his senpais or other people, Ace will lie and pretend to be innocent while carrying out his ulterior motives. Funny how his big brother taught him that.

On another note, Ace has the uncanny ability of being able to copy what he sees, from his brother’s card tricks, to how to speak hedgehog from seeing Rook just say the phrase once, from quickly learning how to extract um, something from mandragoras and doing it very efficiently. Perhaps will his unique magic be a copy magic, maybe copying the unique magic of others? If so, that sounds like an ability that could build up blot fast if he uses it willy-nilly. (it also sounds OP)

All in all, it seems like Ace really does have the potential to be the villain at one point (even though almost all of them are villains lol).

One more thing pointing to a possible Ace betrayal in the future is kinda a stretch in my opinion, but I will list it anyways because it’s coincidences are a bit unnerving. It has to do with birth month flowers and the Dahlia, a flower which can symbolise “Warning someone about a potential betrayal” and Dahlia is the birth flower of August, what month comes right after August? September, the birth month of both Ace and Jamil. Guess what? Jamil betrayed Kalim in the story.

Well, that’s it for the evidence at least I found people using for the Ace betrayal theory, some of it is a stretch and some of it’s is concerning if it was a mere “coincidence”. I hope you enjoyed reading this, regardless if in the end you believe in this theory or not. I personally love this theory because I love the thought of Ace getting more development in the future, also the fan art people make for this theory is great. For example, the twitter account  @GPs_ac has a piece of fan art of the ace betrayal theory and it’s great.

Also If Ace does betray us, I want to see Deuce beat him into the ground ahahaha... (I still love you Ace but I will be hurt if you do betray us, this is why I stan Deuce lol)

Turns out MC can’t trust anyone but Deuce, because Grim is probably gonna overblot and Ace might betray.

Hey! I can't seem to find the post you made with all the books references in Illuminate Me and the reason behind it? Is it deleted?

I know that there is an incomplete one floating around in my reply tag, and it should be in the Illuminate Me tag, but tumblr’s search features are so bad that I went back to the original word doc of the complete list, so prepare for that particular storm lol.  Quoted/Referenced Reading List (In Order of Appearance) Shakespeare: Macbeth I opened on a Macbeth quote (‘When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lighting, or in rain’) because I wanted to start with something immediately relatable. Most readers were introduced to more ‘dramatic’ plays through Macbeth. Beyond that, they were introduced to the concept of pathetic fallacy, which I think plays nicely with Tony as a character (a man who is CONSTANTLY imparting emotion onto inanimate objects…and then actually giving them their own emotions) and with one of the core problems in IM, which is deciding the emotions of others for them. I was hoping to get the ‘feel’ of that without having to lean too far into the actual concept. 

Bonus: I picked this quote in particular because of the importance of threes in Tony’s life (his core group of friends, iterations of the reactor, number of times reborn, his bot children VS his AI children, the number of lovers or almost lovers he has in the fic, etc). Milton: Paradise Lost ‘What is dark within me, illuminate!’ is a modernization of the original Milton quote ‘what is dark within me, illumine’ for readability. I actually feel a bit bad about changing this considering how many people think this is the original quote now. This wound up being a central (and title) quote somewhat by accident. I’m fond of it because of how much I liked a different one that I had originally wanted for Tony’s thoughts of the reactor: ‘yet from those flames, no light, but rather darkness visible’. I had originally wanted to start off on a sadder note, one that showed how much Tony hated losing his humanity, and so the flames of Hell and their physics-bending concept seemed thematically appropriate. I had always intended to eventually invert the imagery – instead of Extremis being (to Tony) flames capable of extinguishing light, the reactor would become a water-like blue light that couldn’t be choked or recreated by any of the shadows that pursued Tony in his life. I picked Milton SPECIFICALLY for the imagery of light and shadows. 

But, man, listen. Darkness visible is a great concept, but it’s also tired. It has, as you’ve noted, been discussed to death. So as I was reading ‘Milton’s darkness visible and Aeneid 7’ to refamiliarize myself with some of the broader themes attached to that particular piece of imagery, I wound up thinking about how to invert the darkness itself instead of the overall concept. The flames of Hell extinguish light instead of having to exist away from it. It is a bad that cannot be penetrated by good. 

Instead of chasing away shadows, which would be implied by shining a light ON them, the request Tony makes here is to actually invert the darkness - to have it illuminate in and of itself. It’s becoming something better instead of being removed or forgotten. On the flip side of that, the darkness within isn’t growing as light weakens, but rather under its own force. Two forces equal in nature and origin in a person. It’s a different take on lighting than the one most critics hammer home. Long ramble is long, but this was the basis for using that quote. It grew from there to have many different meanings, however the core has always remained. All in all I’m pleased with it.

EM Forster: A Room with a View Very forgiving even in its satirical takes on human nature. A lot of passages are very therapy-quotable in their urging to accept the inevitability of causing some harm in life. It plays on a lot of the same concepts with light being obvious metaphor for good and evil that Paradise Lost does, but softens them into more realistic shades of human existence. Isaac Asimov: Foundation Continuing on with themes of rigid morality vs the flexibility and romanticism of humanity, we have Asimov, master of machines and the three rules of robotics! There are lots of quotable epigrams in this beast. The quote pulled from this has two readings depending on what you assume of the man who has said it. If you see him as manipulative, there’s an insidious underpinning of killing off your own morals. If you see him as a kind man, then you could read it as foregoing morals in place of empathy. Tony’s therapist loves a very specific brand of double speak that lets Tony work through the conversation purely through interpretation. Tolstoy: Anna Karenina Tolstoy’s prose is lengthy...so so lengthy, but Anna Karenina is worth the read as long as you relate to at least one of its major characters. Frankly, I think you can choose to read a single character’s plot arc and leave it at that. It’s mostly a novel that is interesting, not because of its plot, but because of its study of relationship dynamics. Tolstoy was really invested in picking apart the idea of what makes a ‘family’ and, beyond that, what makes a class. It’s refreshing to see so much of the critique occurring within the lived experience of the characters instead of through a narrator or outside punishing moral forces. Baudelaire: Windows and Benediction I cannot recommend enough reading multiple translations of Baudelaire poems (fleursdumal.org has a wonderful array available). Benediction is a personal favourite. I love me some malevolence wrapped up in religion. Dante: The Divine Comedy There’s a lot of bleak humor in Dante if you look for it. Several interpretations insist of making each piece excessively grim dark, but faithful translations tend to have a hint of humor in them. It works well for engraving War Machine’s spine - a benediction and a mockery of human limitations. I try to pick quotes that not only fit the scene, but would still fit into the context of the grander themes from whence they came...unless I hate the author. Tennyson: The Lady of Shallot “I am sick of shadows” vs “I am half-sick of shadows”. Tony’s expressing more frustration here with being alone and his passive involvement in that loneliness. Another quote I feel vaguely bad about changing, haha. The Lady of Shallot is a very nice classical piece that I’m sad isn’t taught in schools alongside Hamlet. There are some nice Ophelia parallels here. I wanted a feminine influence on Tony’s loneliness and one that is somewhat youthful despite his age. Yeats: Vacillation I fucking hate Yeats as a person. That said, the man can write. The man can REALLY write. His pieces are almost always layered to the point of absurdity and he’s perfect to swiping quotes with multiple meanings. Definitely Tony’s kind of author. Goethe: Faust Speaks for itself and in the author’s notes on its reference.  Dostoyevsky: The Brothers Karamasov IMO a book that deserves all the acclaim of Anna Karenina and then some. Very VERY Russian in its ethical debates of, as always, religious morality vs free will. Also dips into familial struggles and patricide, because it wouldn’t be a Russian classic if it didn’t contain some deeply buried bitter resentment towards paternalism. I’m going off-script here, but this is a fucking excellent book. I don’t really have words for how much I enjoy how Dostoyevsky explores the concepts that he does. Shakespeare: Julius Ceasar Shakespeare: Twelfth Night Twelfth Night deserves more credit for its development and maintenance of an enigma. Twelfth Night has charisma in spades both because of and in spite of the exceedingly petty actions of some of its characters. It is also a refreshingly simple take on love for the sake of it. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Stephen King: Lisey’s Story I consider Lisey’s Story to be the best of King’s work. The man has his obvious writing ticks and his even more obvious issues as an author. Lisey’s Story contains many of them, but navigates them far better than any of his other work. The monster here is all in the mind and is too vast to truly see or understand. It’s perfectly representative of a creeping sense of inescapable horror. It was fun to flip it on its head with a reference here – Tony isn’t terrified of dying, but he is terrified of his inescapable enjoyment of Bucky’s company. Maria’s family saying is inspired by Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass Armitage: The Death of King Arthur A genuinely fantastic classic tale of heroism, filled with all the drama, tragedy, and sacrifice that you’d expect with strongly feminine undertones. I’m a sucker for this kind of thing. TS Eliot: The Wasteland Excellent piece of poetry with many layered meanings and dual interpretations. I can’t really articulate my thoughts on The Wasteland, but I reference an essay at the end of this list that does that for me. Oedipus Rex Rupert Brooke: Safety Not directly quoted but obscurely referenced through Bucky and Tony’s war conversations + Bucky’s conversation about, you got it, being ‘safe’ with his therapist. His poetry is about WWI and is, largely, idealistic. Safety is…not quite an exception to that. His other poetry contains a certain sense of honour and duty, whereas safety, maintaining a seemingly light tone, has nothing of the sort. It is safety in the soul – something untouchable by the horrors of war or death. It treats that as a ‘house’, which leant itself to the article Tony send Bucky. Armine Wodehouse: Before Ginchy Not directly quoted but obscurely referenced through Bucky and Tony’s war conversations + Bucky’s conversations with his therapist. This is also WWI poetry, though far darker than Brooke’s work. It discusses the parts of the heart and soul soldiers lose. It is an extremely good piece AND references Dante’s Inferno. I had to work it in somewhere even if I didn’t want to directly quote it. Meyer and Brysac: Tournament of Shadows Referenced several times over in discussion of war, the great game, and British military history. Beautifully self-aware account of Britain’s insistence on rewriting history after the fact and the tiny hilariously embarrassing moving pieces that shaped what is often considered the heyday of espionage. Murakami: Kafka on the Shore I love Murakami’s response to questions about understanding the novel as a whole. There are no solutions, only riddles presented, and through their interaction the possibility of a solution takes place. It’s a great lens through which to view the book and individual passages taken out of it. Reminds me of The Wasteland having to be read in totality before you can begin picking it apart, after which each individual piece can be read of its own. Kafka on the Shore, with its musings on the uncertainty of fate and redemption, was the perfect book to outline Tony’s horrifying realization, which he is desperately suppressing, that he might be coming to accept Bucky’s feelings. This quote in particular, while I would’ve used it anyway, is also a great callback to the first chapter and its storms. Chapter 29 is a turning point. Beyond it there are some intentional quote contrasts that are probably more easter eggs than they are anything else. Yeats: A Dialogue of Self and Soul Great contrast with Vacillation. Some parts of self and soul are used in that poem and thematically they are connected and contrasted - self and heart vs self and soul. The symbolism and imagery in Vacillation is really on point and layered, but Self and Soul is peak Yeats for its reversal of the typical ‘the soul is pure and bluntly honest and the body is tainted and bad’ in Christian works. Also Self and Soul’s broader context is scrumptious considering the debate poems history of relying on divine forgiveness and lack thereof instead of on forgiveness of the self. 

It was fun to give this poem a double meaning in IM as both hugely ominous and ultimately pointing to the later forgiveness Tony receives from himself through the divine (if the soul stone can be called that) in the heavens (space!). There’s also another fun twist to ‘who can distinguish darkness from the soul’ in its contrast with ‘what is dark within me, illuminate’. To take that a step further, Vacillation was the beginning of the path of forgiveness for Bucky (understanding Tony’s heart…somewhat literally as he slowly gets closer and closer to the reactor itself), while Self and Soul is a final step (re: Bucky being presented the final hurdle of Tony deciding to move forward alone). Hermann Hesse: Siddhartha Hesse is wonderfully blunt at times. I gotta admit I love German takes on spiritual self-discovery because they always seem to tend towards much more straightforward answers than other countries. Hesse’s relationship with Buddhism in literature vs his lived experience is also really intriguing. Anyway, Siddhartha, in its humanizing of Gods, is wonderful contrast to the consistent imagery of the untouchable and unknowable forces of good and evil in previously quoted works. It has stopped bringing humanity to the divine and has started placing the divine within humanity. Emily Wilson’s translation of the Odyssey One of the ultimate poetic epics. Now that we are nearing the end, I’m going overtime with making the grander themes of this whole piece hit home. A lot of IM was built on a foundation of poetic epics, of heroism, and a bit of Greek tragedy. The Odyssey embodies all of those things beautifully. It also suited Thor too well to pass up. Yeats: An Irish Airman Forsees His Death Ah, Yeats. Very blatant foreshadowing here that is keeping with the foreshadowing from Self and Soul. Fate has, up till this point, been a bit of a question. It has been ‘when will it come to me’ and ‘how will I avoid or overcome it’. Now fate is a set point. It is knowable and present. ‘I know I shall meet my fate, somewhere among the clouds above’. This goes for the true onset of Infinity War and for Tony’s feelings towards Bucky – when he had no one, he allowed Bucky in after essentially promising himself he wouldn’t. If that’s not an accidental admittance of love, nothing is. Henley: Invictus Absolutely fantastic poem. Continuing with the heavy fate themes coming into this climax. Now that Tony knows his fate, truly knows it, he is choosing to take it on directly. Agamemnon (Anne Carson’s Traslation if you prefer a more modern language approach, Lattimore is you prefer a classic) Agamemnon is forgotten all too often in the world of poetic epics and it’s a damn shame. I cannot say enough good things about it. I always wanted to use lines from Agamemnon in a Tony fic because the Cassandra parallels were too perfect to resist. The chorus in this play was also a perfect narrative device for interacting with something of a hive mind. Yeats: The Wanderings of Oisin Another poetic epic. Nice contrast with The Odyssey, The Death of King Arthur, and Agamemnon. Here the dialogue is between an aged hero and a saint looking into the hero’s past. It has the kind of reflective and aged mood necessary for this stage of the story, but is actually a poem I sortof hate. The line ‘And a softness came from the starlight, and filled me full to the bone’ is absolutely gorgeous, though. Some final inspiration pieces:

Why? Why did he accept the bet? "This is not a bet!!" exclaim Jason from behind. Yeah, but in his eyes, this is a bet! How come? He and his annoying brothers decided to surprise Marinette. Yes, Marinette, his girlfriend. Damian didn't expect that he could be able to be in a relationship for 3 years and his girlfriend is an Angel too!

Umm ... To be more precise, a wingless angel ... Marinette is a very kind, friendly, smart, pretty, and sometimes, she emits a fiery aura in her eyes... And, don't forget her beautiful smile. Even the dark city of Gotham can suddenly become bright if she's here, smiling while chuckling occasionally.

"Okay enough about her beautiful smile because we already know how much you love her," Jason said suddenly, a mischievous smile on his face. Damian glared at Jason while growling, even though Jason didn't feel intimidated at all. Not with Damian's red face because of his own embarrassment.

"Stop it!" said Dick after clapping his hands hard enough to prevent a bloody war that might occur sometime later. "We should go back to our previous discussion okay? If you want this surprise to really happen before it's too late..."

And with that, Damian snorted in annoyance while Jason only chuckled at his brother's behavior. "I already said if we want to give a surprise to Marinette, it should be a fancy and fabulous one. Since Marinette deserves the best," said Damian while crossing his hand.

"But demon-spawn, you should know by now that Marinette isn't fond of excessive luxury. It'll just make her uncomfortable and you don't want that, right?" asked Tim from across the sofa, a cup of coffee in his hand as usual.

Of course, Damian would know about it. But there's no way he would admit it openly. Not in the front of his annoying brothers, okay?

"That's why we suggest you a more simple one but no less romantic than your original plan, Damian."

"You said a simple one... And that is by singing to her?" Damian cannot help to ask about that with a tone of disbelief. Because what is romantic with singing? Isn't that just a plain one? Moreover, he never singing in his entire life! He is in distress! He scared he will be the ONE ruining this surprise because of his voice. Not that his voice is bad, okay? He knows his voice is good, like really really good.

"Yup, and you already lost, demon-spawn. So you cannot back down now..." Oh, how he wishes he can turn back time right now. He wonders why he has such bad luck. Five minutes ago, he and his brothers were arguing which type of surprise gift they should prepare for Marinette's upcoming birthday.

He chooses a fancy one with him holding a bunch of roses in front of her school so when she out of school, she will be surprised and then happy and then... hopefully, give a kiss thank you? Not only roses, of course. He will take her to a fancy dinner where he would gift her another present and maybe she'll give a big smile while in tears and then... again, give a kiss thank you?

But no, his brothers strongly disagree with him and suddenly deciding that singing to her is a better option. Which is not. In his opinion. Since Damian is stubborn to let go of his plan, one of his brothers, the oldest one, Dick, suggesting for Damian to do rock-paper-scissors with one of them (Dick, Jason, or Tim).

So Damian chooses Jason, for a reason, he thinks Jason would have less chance to win with this type of game. Oh, how wrong he is. Maybe Lady Fortune is indeed upset with him. Because he loses 3 straight chances with Jason! And now he has to accept the consequences.

After one month of a lot of practice, he and his brothers have a trip to Paris (Bruce cannot come along because of an important business that he cannot miss. Of course not before he said, "Damian, please send my regards to my future daughter-in-law" in which Damian is just glaring at his father while his cheek is tinted with pink color).

"... And here I am ..." said Damian to no one. He is so nervous. His hand suddenly felt sweaty while his other hand held a guitar. After he sits down on one of the benches near Marinette's school while Dick and Jason take a seat behind him (They help him by playing the guitar too. It's just for the "best" result, not because he cannot play the guitar very well). He takes a breath down while he tries to calm his nerves. It worked, alright. He felt a lot calmer compared to before.

"Don't worry too much Baby Bat. I'm sure Marinette will be very happy with this! Trust me!" Of course she will happy. At least he hopes so. When Tim is signaling to him, he knows now that's the cue to start. So he closes his eyes and begins playing the guitar while ignoring all the stares from the passerby.

She would not show that she was afraid

He remembers the first time he met Marinette. At that time, some unimportant villains are attacking Wayne Enterprises when he becomes Jason's assistant for a translator between the French class and his brother (Dick was busy with his girlfriend so he cannot be the guide).

Jason tries to help people including The French class to evacuate as quickly as he can, while Damian goes to a safe place to change into his Robin uniform. By the time he comes back, there's already Red Robin at there and a second minute later Red Hood comes too. He suddenly raises a voice and at that time Damian, no, Robin knows what is wrong.

He sees one of the French class, a girl with midnight hair and prettiest blue eyes he ever has seen, standing protectively behind a little boy. In front of her is one of the villains, who apparently decides to become a coward and want to target weak civilians. He and Red Hood rush in to save her just to see that little petite girl kick the villains in the face. And can you hear the cracking sound?

Wow. Robin just stood there looking awestruck until he snaps out of it when Red Hood strangling the villain. Since his brothers already dealing with the villains, Robin decides to check the girl.

When he approaching the girl who right now is busy hugging the little boy while whispering something, probably to calm the little boy, she suddenly spins around and takes a defensive pose until she realizes the one who comes is Robin, one of Gotham's vigilante.

Good reflex, he noted. She goes back to calming the boy while sometimes she glances at Robin's direction.

"Are you okay?" Ask Robin softly while internally he curses himself for asking such stupid question. Of course, she's not okay. No one would be okay after being confronted by a villain. She visibly relaxes after she hears his soft tone, although he won't miss how her hand still shake albeit just a little. He knows she is trying to hide her fear.

"I'm okay, although I was hoping we can take the boy to somewhere safer..?" she said with a hint of French's accent, which made her sound more adorable, okay, focus Robin! He scolds himself.

Not only brave, but she also kind and still thinking someone else besides herself. "Yes, don't worry I'll take you guys outside so the medic will check up on you," He said then he escorts the girl and the little boy to outside and then went to help his brothers. Not before she softly said thank you, though.

Leaving behind Robin who begins to feel some weird feelings.

But being and feeling alone was too much to face

No matter how hard she tried to be strong, he worried that all the problems she'd been through ---Hawkmoth and Liela----, take a toll for her petite body. He knows that feeling. The feels being alone in this big cruel world. Kill or being killed. That was a lesson he was though from back then. When he still takes the mantle of 'al Ghul'.

But he grateful because his life is becoming better than before when he met Batman, his father, and his brothers albeit still annoying.

And he is really lucky to meet a wonderful girlfriend, Marinette, his habibti.

Though everyone said that she was so strong

What was her nickname get from the class, the one he heard from the blonde guy? Oh right, their everyday ladybug. Just because Marinette has been helping her friends whenever her friends need help. Just like Ladybug, one of Parisian's heroes. Which is ridiculous.

IF Marinette really their everyday ladybug, then why? Why they choose to believe some shit-not-true-based talks from a random transfer girl who is still new in the school over their claim to be their everyday ladybug who is already being their friend longer than that Liela girl.

What they didn't know is that she could barely carry on

Didn't they have common sense? Not even the strongest guy can take a burden as big as the world! Take a high road? Avoid Liela being akumatized? Damian scoff at this when he listening to one of Marinette's stories. That's stupid and a coward move, he thinks.

He worried because... What about Marinette? Who will take care of her? Marinette is just a human being after all. What if the one being akumatized is her? What would they do? He knows Marinette is really strong, physically and mentally. After repelling akuma for 3 times? Of course she is. And Damian is really proud of her.

But sometimes, the worries still nag him in the back of his mind. Even Batman, the dark and coldest knight can sometimes have a mental breakdown!

 But she knew that she would be okay

So she didn't let it get in her way

Of course, ever since she comes to his life, meeting his brothers, Alfred, and his father. He knows, he along with his family will make sure to give Marinette a deserve and best care in the 'world'. From the moment they know the problem, they began to make a "Marinette deserve to be happy" plan right away. He won't let these pesky so-called friends get in the way. Not in his watch, okay.

He knows the plan is the right choice. Because after that, Marinette gradually became more relaxed, happy, and... just being herself.

He, Damian Wayne, swore to himself, to let her know that she deserves to be happy. She's not alone in this world. Not after meeting him. Not after she became his habibti.

 Sometimes it all gets a little too much

There was one time. One time that makes his habibti almost expelled from her own school. And that source's problem is... again... ..from that pesky girl named Liela. Oh don't worry, he already has 101 lists on how to get rid of her, alright.

But you gotta realize that soon the fog will clear up

Although thankfully Marinette's not really expelled. Even if Marinette's really been expelled, and that problem hasn't solved, he will make sure to solve it, by the law. With his last name and his ability, he can easily found the evidence to sue the school, even Liela.

And you don't have to be afraid, because we're all the same

And we know that sometimes it all gets a little too much

He always said to Marinette, to let him or someone else know if she has something troubling her. To let her know, that asking for help is the right thing to do.

"Oh, she's here demon-spawn," whisper Jason which makes him suddenly open his eyes and right there, among peoples, stood his beautiful habibti, Marinette. With her wide eyes, probably from the shock of seeing him here. He gives her a reassuring smile (Hopefully it really looks assuring? 'Cause he is trying so hard to hide his nervous) in which she returns it with her beautiful smile albeit her eyes were glazed.

Okay, time for plan 2 begins.

He quickly but swiftly set aside the guitar (Don't worry, Dick and Jason still playing their guitars. This is a part of their plan, okay? A plan of "We've got your back so you don't have to worry about messing up because of your guitar's skill"). Then he sauntered to her while still singing.

He can see her classmate, the blonde guy, the glasses girl, the cap guy, and the sausage hair girl. But he doesn't care. In his eyes, there's only her. His Habibti. Marinette.

 She would always tell herself she could do this

He chuckles whenever he remembers the time when she nervous, she'll chant "Marinette, you're going to be okay. Just trust yourself. Like Tikki and Damian always said." over and over again while she paced. He found it's adorable and had to refrain himself from hugging her and kissing her right then and there.

She would use no help it would be just fine

The first time he tried to convince her that sometimes it's okay for asking help is hard. Like Really hard, okay. He has to be patient or she'll get mad, and he doesn't want that. He knows she is an independent person so she'll try to find a solution by herself without bothering others and he admires her for that.

But sometimes he can't help but to worries about his habibti, okay? Not only that, he admits sometimes he wants to be a reliable boyfriend. A person she can depend on. If that's not too much problem...

But when it got hard she would lose her focus

He worried she'll fall sick because of the problem she'd been through. Because of one time. That is one time. And he doesn't want that to happen again. Not anymore. He remembers, oh, how could he forget? Even if he wants to. He can't.

At that night of patrol, the batfam and ladybird were patroling like usual. He notices Marinette, no, Ladybird weren't herself at that time. Because sometime she would space out. And when he or his brothers ask her if she's okay or needs to rest, she would always say the same thing.

"I am okay, don't worry!" with a smile but not the same smile she always used. It's a tired smile but silently screaming 'Please leave me alone' to which make him and his brothers were forced to leave it.

But later, he regrets it. And he blames himself for it. She, Ladybird got hurt badly because they were ambushed by a group of villains and while the villains are not the strongest one, but because Ladybird is distracted by her problems and the batfam was distracted too because of their worries for Ladybird, one of the villains sneaks behind Ladybird without all of them noticing. And successfully strike her in the back with a knife. A freaking knife.

She got free when she punched the villain hard, in the neck. Which makes the villain fall unconscious. Although not soon as after that, she collapses too. Robin instantly by her side, cradling her gently, ignoring the guilt feeling crawling inside his mind and the tears that started to gather in his eyes. His brothers are not that different too. They beat the villains harder and as quickly as they can, so they can bring Ladybird to the hospital or the Batcave and have Alfred treat her.

Thankfully, the wound is not as crucial as they thought it would be. Although Marinette has to stay rest in the bed for a week. Which is totally okay for him but not okay for Marinette. She's not okay with all batfam trying to babysit her but eh, like it or not, she has to face it. Since it's partly her fault for being distracted in the battle. This is a lesson for her to not pushing herself too hard. And for him to be a more firm boyfriend.

So take my hand and we'll be alright

He found himself already stood in front of her. Staring into her bluebell sparkling eyes, and smiling while softly singing, he held out his hand. She blinks then takes his hand and he gently grasped it. Both of them smiling, ignoring the confused glance from her classmate and the glare from certain people, because why would they care? When in this world, it's just him and her, Damian and Marinette.

 And she knew that she would be okay

He guides her back to his brother's place. And at that time, although Marinette felt confused as to why in the world, Damian and his brothers were in here. But she knew that she would be okay. Because she's not alone anymore.

So she didn't let it get in her way

She soon relaxes in his gentle grasp and his soothing voice. This is her best day! Although she has to channel her ladybug's persona when she went through class this morning but at least, now, she got to meet her long-distance-boyfriend!

She greets his brother in silent nod while Dick is giving his charming smile and Jason winked at her. Damian takes a seat and takes his guitar to resume his playing while she takes a seat beside him, although they never broke their gaze from each other. She found herself lost in his deep green forest eyes, while he, Damian, is mesmerizing her eyes too.

Both of them knew. He knew Marinette, right now, is okay. Visibly looks tired but her hopeful eyes are already assuring him that she's okay. Marinette knew, from a long time ago, after Damian has successfully convinced her, that she's not alone. She still has a lot of people who care for her being. Whether it's her parent, her true friends, her kwami, her family, and her boyfriend.

And she's thankful for having such wonderful friends. She's really glad because she doesn't have to bear this alone. She can ask for help, asking for advice. And that's an okay thing to do. And that's a wonderful thing to do. It's felt like something lifted up in her body. And she felt more... light. She felt more... ease.

 A little too much, I said a little too much, oh

She still has a lot of problems, alright. With Hawkmoth still here roaming while Lila still making a problem for her.

But for the first time she thinks, 'It's going to be alright. Because I have a lot of wonderful people who were here to support me. And they'll have my back when I needed help.'

One time she was worried when she has a partner (A partner in romance, mind you. Not partner in battle), can she hide her secret identity from them? What if it's affecting their relationship? What if someday her partner wouldn't trust her again after how many times she lied to protect her secret identity?

But when she knows Robin's real identity after she's been dating Damian for a year, she partly glad and partly afraid. She glad because she and Damian are similar, they both were heroes who have a burden in their shoulders. And maybe... Just maybe... Damian would understand her. She worried because if Damian is a hero too (or a vigilante, according to what he said), then he must've been through a lot like her, or probably much worse than her. And she's afraid for him.

And we know that sometimes it all gets a little too much yeah

Hawkmoth and Lila's problem + all crimes in Gotham's town who'd been raising lately? Yup, it's getting a little too much for both of them. And they knew it.

Because they're together. We're both together.

And we know that sometimes it all gets a little too much

Even if the world's going to fall apart, they know they'll handle it. They can handle it. Because they're together, with all support from their friends and family. Yes, they can.

 The song ended with a soft thud and Damian put his guitar back then turns around to face his girlfriend while saying, "Umm.. so what do you think?". Marinette just raises a brow hearing his nervous tone, "Isn't like I'm angry or disappointed, but what is this?". Marinette tries to remember if today is an important day that maybe she forgets because she's been focusing on her problem? But no, there's no such date. Her birthday is still a month later and their anniversary is still a couple months later too.

"Well, we were actually planning to give you a surprise gift for your birthday BUT this baby demon-spawn here.." Jason ruffled his hair playfully, to which Damian response with a glare and "Shut it, Todd!" but Jason just chuckled, much to his dismay.

"What Jason means is Baby Bat is very worried about you. He always spaced out and then put on this scowl face with a wrinkled forehead, a look of worry, whenever he thinks we're not noticing." Dick continued to embarrass his little brother with a teasing smile.

"..So we decided we have enough of a moody Damian, book a ticket to Paris earlier than the plan and do the surprise right now and there, just to cheer up you, Marinette. So Damian will not go back to his moody mode and you'll cheer up again! It's a win-win for all of us." said Tim, who surprised Marinette because she doesn't know he's here too. Marinette is giving him an 'I am sorry' look while Tim just waving his hand, a sign of 'it's okay'.

Damian groaned. He thought this day will going perfectly but nooo... His brothers always try to found a way to embarrass him. And now they successfully did it. They perfectly ruining his image of 'a good and cool boyfriend' (he try hard).

Marinette giggled, her giggling sound send warm feelings in his body, and save him from his embarrassment by taking his hand and hugging him firmly. "Thank you so much, Dami," she whispers softly. To which Damian respond with hugging her back, and gently said, "Your welcome, Habibti".

"...So ready for the next part?" asked Jason to no one in particular. The couple broke their hug and Marinette giving a confused glance at his boyfriend. Damian just shrugs and smirk, "Do you want to go have fun, Habibti?" while his eyes were sending a different message, "Do you want to go from this awful place and away from this awful your so-called classmate?". Marinette blinks before catching on to his hidden message and giving him a gigawatt smile, "Yes, of course, Dami".

I can’t believe this is a limited edition CD that won’t come with all versions of the CD because I feel like you really need this to wrap up the story! Even though the five tracks + epilogue on the main CD provide a proper ending as well, I do feel like it is lacking now that I’ve also gotten a chance to listen to this one.

Limited Edition Bonus Track: Another Story

You slowly regain consciousness.

“...Hm? So you’re finally awake?”

You shriek.

“Screaming on top of your lungs as soon as you see my face, huh? Smart girl. You know what’s in store for you, right? I’ll rewind time once more. ‘Cause every time I’ve been sucking you, the taste of your blood grows sweeter. Soon enough, it’ll become thick like a well-simmered stew, don’t you think?”

You look for an escape route.

“Running away is pointless. Using this nifty thing over here, I can turn back time at any moment, devouring you over and over again.”

*CRACK*

“Huh? What’s this? What’s wrong with it? It cracked. Don’t tell me...! Time won’t rewind...It ran out of magic already? Borin’...Hmph.”

Ayato tosses the hourglass aside.

“Just when I was gettin’ all fired up. The old man’s toys are useless. Oh well, I had plenty of fun so guess we can call it a day. Oi! Let’s head home.” 

You frown, seeming somewhat confused.

“What’s up with that stupid expression? ...Haah!? Like I said, the hourglass ran out of magical energy. Expecting it to last forever would be asking for too much. These kind of items have limited use.”

You tilt your head to the side.

“Exactly. A set count. But if I told you that beforehand, it wouldn’t have been as fun, so I kept it a secret from you.”

You get upset.

“You seriously thought it would last forever, didn’t you? What a fool. Take a hint! Oh well, I was able to have a blast in return. I got to see your seriously freaked out face for the first time in a while. White as a sheet and shaking like a leaf...Hahahaha...Definitely worth the laugh!”

You seem shaky on your legs.

“Haah? What’s the matter? You look even paler than before. All color has faded from your face. Oi. ー Fuck, did I go too far? Aah, look at it this way! ...It’s bad for things to become stale! (1) Let’s say I spiced things up a little in my own way. You better be grateful!”

You get seriously mad.

“Ah! Hold up! I only teased you a little, that’s all!”

You throw something at him.

*CRASH*

“...Wah!”

*TIMESKIP*

*Knock knock knock*

“...Oi! You can hear me, right? Just for how long are you gonna stay cooped up in your room!? 

...She won’t respond to me at all. What’s her problem!? I was just having some fun...She won’t even come out to eat and ignores all of my calls and text messages. Was it that much of a shock to her? Although I guess I was getting a little too much into it as well...But she is the one who was enjoying getting her blood sucked.

...Exactly! What’s the point in sulking now after giving off such a sweet scent? Basically, I’m not to blame. She’s at fault for getting her feelings hurt over something like this. 

...Well, I guess I don’t mind reflecting upon my actions just a little. I do think it went too as a prank. Haah...I want to use the hourglass and go back in time.”

He pulls out the hourglass.

“This thing’s seriously out of power, huh? I can’t go back even if I wanted to...Whatever, going back and fixing my mistakes isn’t like me anyway. ...Ugh!”

He throws the hourglass off to the side.

“I’m over this! Being all depressed doesn’t suit me. Rather than rewinding time, fixing it like this is ten times easier. ー Oi, Chichinashi!! I’m letting myself in!”

Ayato bursts inside the room.

*CRASH*

“Heh. I should have just destroyed it from the start.”

You scold him.

“Shut up. We can just get it fixed afterwards. Besides, you’re at fault for locking yourself up and ignoring me in the first place.”

You puff out your cheeks and hide underneath the sheets.

“...Ah! You bitch! Don’t  hide underneath the blanket! Show me your face!”

Ayato moves on the bed with you as you start making a fuss.

“Fuck...! Don’t trash about! ...Stop complaining! Just behave already...!”

He calms you down with a kiss.

“You’ve finally piped down...Don’t be sulking forever! Let that kiss just now fix your mood. Ayato-sama has gone out of his way to come and see you, you know? That alone should make you feel grateful.”

You raise a brow.

“What I mean is...I’m sorry, ‘kay!?”

You smile.

“Do you feel better now? ...Is that so? Damn, making me go through all that trouble. Listen? You belong by my side. Next time you keep your distance, I won’t forgive you. Me too...I’ll make sure not to deceive you again.”

You nod.

“Mmh. ...Then this talk is over. Haah~ I had to go and waste my energy unnecessarily. Come on, get over here. There’s food left over for you. I made sure to save some for you, you know? Be thankful to me!”

You get up from the bed and skip over.

“God, look at you hop around. Even though you were all doom and gloom just earlier. Although, this suits you much better, I’ll give you that. ...Oh, right! Actually, the hourglass wasn’t the only thing I brought back from the old man’s place. There was this interesting seasoning mix, so I’ll use it on your food tonight!”

You shake your head in panic.

“Haah? What’s the matter? This time I’ll be sure to explain it you beforehand. I won’t make the same mistake twice!  I’ll tell you the effects as well so better be grateful. First you have to take one bite though.”

You run away.

“...Hey, wait! Why are you runnin’ away!? Oi! Chichinashi! Hold it right there!!”

Ayato chases after you.

(1) Ayato uses the expression マンネリする or ‘manneri suru’ which comes up as ‘to be stuck in a rut’ on most online dictionnaries. I assume that in this case, Ayato was referring to their boring everyday routine of going to school, etc., so he needed a little something to keep it thrilling and interesting.

Oh, Anon, you do not know what essay length hell you have unleashed. Below a cut so as to not destroy people’s dashboards:

Liv/Helen Headcanons

- Helen realised she was in love with Liv during Ship in a Bottle. I mean, Liv is amazing and Helen has known that from almost the start, but when Liv is going on about never giving up, because that’s who she is, and that entire passionate speech…Helen’s just ‘oh shit’.

-Though I also (because who doesn’t have conflicting headcanons?) think Helen doesn’t actually realise she’s in love with Liv yet (gay denial anyone?). Regardless, BIG FINISH LET THEM KISS PLEASE THANKS.

-On the other side of the spectrum, Liv’s been in love with Helen from their first hello. Legit. Go relisten to The Red Lady. First thing she even says to Helen is a breathy little ‘hi’ and later when the Doctor is inviting Helen to join them, saying how she’s amazing, Liv agrees with a sort of ‘heart eyes wonder’ tone to her voice. (But Katie, that’s not love, that’s infatuation - okay, so, you’re right. But honest to god, by Absent Friends, Liv is 100% in love with Helen. I mean, her utter confusion at Helen asking for one room, and then instantly doing whatever Helen wants? Girl has it bad)

-Helen is frequently personally offended by the TARDIS translation matrix. “I spent years of my life learning Ancient Greek, Liv! The fact you can just read it like that isn’t fair, and it isn’t funny!” Liv of course, finds it hilarious, and also adorable. 

-It’s canon that the TARDIS loves Liv, but I also think the TARDIS now sees Helen as HER PRECIOUS CHILD WHO MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS because there’s no way a sentient being can watch someone struggle for DECADES to save the ones she loves (and the Doctor is the TARDIS’ precious thief, so bonus points there) without developing a SUPER INTENSE fondness for them.

-Liv hates snow. I mean, that’s already canon thanks to her hating any cold and damp weather (THANKS DARK EYES), and also she says she hates it in Better Watch Out. And then, after Fairytale of Salzburg, she REALLY hates anything Christmassy, especially snow…..Until Helen shows her how great Christmas can be (especially snow, when it’s being thrown at the Doctor).

-Tula is fed up of hearing Helen’s name. Because Liv would mention it at least 6 times a day during her year on Kaldor. 

-Considering Helen is a confirmed canon lesbian, but the only real hint we��ve had (I say that because the woman exudes lesbian aura, come on, we all know)  is her obvious attraction to River/River’s psychic wimple (Striking, rather like Rita Hayworth//Works for me! And for you! Who’d have thought, Miss Sinclair!) - and then the way she shuts River down by redirecting the conversation - makes me think she’s the repressed lesbian she really should be considering she’s from the 1960′s (also her bully of a father definitely knew she was gay and that’s half the reason he was a dick to her). I mean, Liv frequently refers to women as beautiful/sexy/attractive, but we have practically nothing of the sort from Helen. AND I REALLY HOPE BIG FINISH ADDRESS THIS?? (I was slightly annoyed at how she didn’t bat an eye over there being a married lesbian couple + son in the xmas two parter…)

-Which brings me on to the next headcanon. Liv is bisexual (writer confirmed canon), but she 100% prefers women. I mean, 1. she’s not attracted to the Doctor (canon - from her short story set during Dark Eyes) which is insane because HAVE YOU SEEN EIGHT? 2. She mentions, frequently, how attractive women (River especially) are. 

-Helen is the closed off one, Liv is the over emotional one. Which you’d think would be the other way round considering Liv is the cynical sarcastic badass and Helen’s the soft trusting history nerd. 

Eight/River Headcanons

-THERE IS A REASON River can’t be known by Eight. And honestly I really hope Big Finish tell us the truth soon (because if River can go around shagging Six and travelling with Five, she can show her real face to Eight ffs). But at the moment, I like to think it’s because she knows if he found out who she was, she’d have a much harder time leaving him/making him forget than she does the others. (And who could blame her, HAVE YOU SEEN EIGHT?)

-I also think Big Finish have a plan for Eight/River stuff. Because, as above, if River can shag Six and travel in the TARDIS with Five, but has to hide her face/name/voice/existence from Eight, there must be a reason (unless they just love blueballing us? Which is always a possibility).

-Parma violets somehow become Eight’s favourite flower and he really isn’t sure why. 

-The TARDIS always feels different to Eight when Sister Cantica is around. And he can’t understand why. (It’s because she’s happy her time child is there.) Also watch the TARDIS try and play matchmaker, even though River is like THIS IS TOO EARLY IN HIS TIME STREAM MOTHER, DO YOU NOT THINK I’D BE TAPPING THAT ASS IF I COULD? Spoilers: she eventually taps that ass anyway because HAVE YOU SEEN EIGHT?

-If/When River gets too close to Eight, he can sense her timeline very strongly (coz Eight has the best time sense) and sees how deeply interwoven with his it is. He’s already SUPER INTRIGUED by River (Sister Cantica, whatever) but this tips him a bit over into falling in love because HOW CAN YOU NOT, SHE’S RIVER SONG!

-Also, cravat = bow tie in River’s mind. Catch her stroking it fondly. (But Katie, Doom Coalition Eight wears a tshirt and leather jacket. BITCHES, STOP, I REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS FACT)

Good/Redeemed Male Yandere Examples

So I decided to organize a little and make this post after a long conversation I had with someone on tumblr recently.  In the conversation, I stated both my general definitions of a “good yandere” and a “redeemed yandere,” as well as gave a brief list of examples I’ve seen.

I figure not everyone’s going to want to hunt back through the original post specifically for the list every time, so here’s a shortcut for you.  I’m basically copy pasting what I said before (with maybe some rewording on some parts so they make sense).  It’s a small list and those that have been around the block looking for male yanderes will probably recognize these titles.

You’ll notice not a lot of otome game characters make the list here because a) that’s not what the original asker was interested in and b) to be honest a lot of yanderes in otome games come from the “bad endings.”  That’s falling more in the villain category then.

So HOPEFULLY, with the good/redeemed male yanderes, I have remained consistent at the very least with what they are.  Please feel free to let me know if the definitions below don’t appear to have been very evident in my posts, or if this contradicts past posts too much:

-        Good Yandere: Still exhibits behavior and actions of a yandere that are deemed either inappropriate or bad when displaying one’s affection for the love interest, BUT still manages to keep certain behavior in “check” for the sake of their love interest (and possibly others), and shows genuine love as opposed to just obsession towards their S/O

-        Redeemed Yandere:  A yandere who somehow changed to understand that they need to respect/understand the point of view and feelings of those around them (particularly their love interest).  Usually start off over-the-top, crazy, or villainous, but realize they’ve gone too far and end up changing for the better.  Redeemed yandere can then either end up as “good yanderes” or actually fall out of the yandere category if they decide to either love in a more natural manner, or even forfeit their love interest to someone else.

Male Yandere

1)      Nozomu from Hadashi de bara wo fume (Stepping on Roses) – Redeemed Yandere

While not a fan of the artwork for the story, it’s one of the best examples of a prominent male yandere in a story.  Used him as an example for my “good endings” post.  Without spoiling exactly what happens, I will make it clear that he just becomes redeemed, not a good yandere.

2)      Kairak from Abide in the Wind – Redeemed Yandere?

I can’t find the raws to read, and it’s still being translated.  I am 99% sure this has a happy ending though.  I actually really recommend this story in general.  Seeing as Kairak is both literally and figuratively a “different animal,” he’s a good example of making a character that becomes a very clear yandere, but that it makes sense what happened and why he can be forgiven.  It’s all about how the character is set up.  Like I said, I haven’t seen all the raws though, and I don’t want to spoil too much here.

3)      Toma from Amnesia- Redeemed?/Good?

First off, I don’t know if you want to include this guy because while there’s an anime, it’s technically based off an otome game.  So it’s really only just…episode 9 and 10 I’d say you can take a peek at for fun. Since it’s based off an otome game and only a 12 episode anime series, it’s kind of shallow though with the change. That’s why I’d say it’s kind of questionable if you agree with what Toma does and why and if he properly learned his lesson.  So I can’t outright declare him as a “good yandere” or a “redeemed yandere.”  That’s probably more of a personal opinion thing. …It doesn’t help that I find him kind of cute though *sweats*

4)      Jung Yu from Cheese in the Trap- Good?

It’s a Korean webcomic that I really enjoy.  This one would require quite a bit of investment from the reader though to determine what they think of Jung.  I’m going to be blunt…there are many signs in the series that he’s actually a sociopath (or close to one).  No, this isn’t a horror or thriller webcomic.  This would be what I’d say is the best example of a sociopath who is NOT a psychopath.  Sociopaths generally don’t care about others, just themselves.  It’s REALLY hard to explain, and Jung still has some genuine caring moments.  Like I said, this would be a project to get into if you want to properly determine if Jung is a “good yandere,” if you can even call him a yandere at all.  I haven’t read the end yet, so I don’t know if he “redeems” either.  Just know that in this story, Jung does/thinks some things that are “not right.” But he’s in love with Seol I believe. The yandere moments are sadly spread out too, but you’d notice them.

5)      Onyu No from Metronome- Good

At least I think he is. Story is still getting translated. Guy’s definitely a yandere, and I recommend this because other characters than just him appear to have an obsession with the main character.  So far based on the plot…I think you can call him good?  Will kind of have to see what happens.  He’s also the type that would never want to harm his S/O (at least I think so), so that’s a plus.

6)      Darin Kim from Cherry Boy, that Girl- Redeemed

You know what…I actually DON’T consider him a yandere XD  Which is weird, because he has many moments displaying behavior that is EXACTLY like a yandere.  I can only attribute this to how…less threatening I feel he his?  Don’t get me wrong though, he’s pretty darn manipulative. I just wanted to put this on here because I recommend it a lot.  Warning, you will hate ALL the characters though for the first few chapters.  You gotta ride it out a bit to get past the point “I don’t sympathize with anyone here, what the heck?”  You get to the GOOD development later, trust me.  Because Darin portrays at least yandere behavior, I’d say check it out to judge for yourself.  It’s completely translated and finished.  If you call him a yandere, I’d say he’s redeemed at the end.  Up to the reader if they’d ever call him “good.”

7)      Jarte from 100% Perfect Girl- Redeemed/Good?

Actually a manhwa, not a manga.  Like a modern day Cinderella tale.  Jarte’s yandere side starts to come out more as the story progresses and the drama occurs (serious drama at least).  I’d definitely call him redeemed by the end.  DURING the story you can debate if you’d call him a “good yandere.”  I don’t it personally.  He REALLY loves Jay, but yeah the stuff he ends up doing would not be okay in real life :P  Most of the yandere stuff is the last 2 volumes I believe (but there’s minor hints before then).  This is one of those one’s that’s either going to draw people in due to the way that Jarte and Jay talk with each other (or avoid talking with each other) on how their relationship is/was at any current point in time…or it’ll drive you nuts and make you pull your hair out honestly because they seem crazy.  This is actually one of my favorites where I feel I like how it came to the ending it did, but in real life I would have never forgiven Jarte :P

8)      …Some manga I found recently that I CAN’T REMEMBER THE NAME OF!!!- Good

Look the premise is that the male yandere kidnaps a young girl he’s obsessed with, but she’s totally cool with that.  The reason is because she’s glad to be away from her abusive parents.  I haven’t read too much into it yet, but the yandere himself is thinking “she probably needs to put her guard up around me more than she realizes, because I CLEARLY have something wrong with me” (cue room covered with photos of the S/O).  I’ll have to see if I find it again sometime.  This would be a good reference though for a good yandere who has very clear yandere behavior, but due to other circumstances in the story, is not as much of the bad guy as one would think.

…wow where the heck are my yaoi stories?  I know I’ve read a bunch of them, but most were probably short with a Japanese title so I can’t remember right now >_<  That or they stuck with the villain trend I liked so no point in putting them here anyway.  There’s two off the top of my head right now still in the works that are WAY too extreme for me to consider either of the villains “good yanderes” at any point.

Bonus: Female Yandere

1)      Yuno Gasai from Mirai Nikki/Future Diary – Redeemed/Good

People can still debate on her I guess, but I’d say she’s good because of the circumstances of the game they’re thrown into, and a lot of people believe at the end it develops into a genuine loving relationship.

2)      For the love of god, WHY CAN’T I REMEMBER SOME OF THE “GOOD” YANDERE STORIES?! -Good

Look there’s this comedy one I found awhile back.  Not a lot of chapters, but it’s a female yandere whose boyfriend is fully aware she’s a yandere.  It’s a great use of dark comedy, and the boyfriend is actually pretty good at keep her on a leash (and he does love her).  I wish I could remember the name though.  If you find it, it’s not long right now and at least it’s a good reference for comedic yanderes in a relationship with their S/O :P

Aaaaand sorry that’s all I can think of at the moment XD.  I mostly find female yanderes by accident :P  I’m usually just hunting for the males.  Some people can debate if a certain magical girl from Madoka Magica is “good,” but I’ll leave that up to them :P  I’ve pretty sure there’s a bunch of female yanderes not from otome games that are redeemed or “good,” I’m just drawing a blank at the moment.

So what you might have noticed from this list is it may be more common to find a redeemed yandere rather than a “good yandere.”  You more often will see the yandere give up after a long fight or learn to love like a normal person would, rather than maintain their yandere qualities by the end. They can be “good yanderes” during the story if the character is fleshed out enough and it complements the plot, but it’s super rare for them to still be a “good yandere” by the end of the story.

Kimi ni Todoke Chapter 123 Translation: “Final” Chapter

Hello Kimi ni Todoke fandom!

Here we are at the final chapter! But don’t cry too much – we’re getting a bit more of the story in April 2018! :D Over the next few months, Bessatsu Margaret will be releasing some “Kimi ni Todoke”-related goodies with issues of their magazine. The following were announced in this month’s issue:

1. January 2018 Issue (December 13): “Kimi ni Todoke” Special Tribute Book (will feature Kimi ni Todoke-inspired art by other shoujo manga artists)

2. February 2018 Issue (January 12): “Long” Interview with Karuho Shiina

3. May 2018 Issue (April 13): “Extra Volume”: I’m not sure what this will be exactly…the announcement says something along the lines of: “Maybe you’ll be able to see Sawako and her friends’ ‘afterwards’…?” This is either a really mean tease, or we’re going to get a glimpse of the characters’ university / post-university lives after all! This bonus story might be one long chapter, or a few chapters covering different characters / stories. Shiina will have a few months to work on it, so the length may approach that of a regular volume (hopefully); still, we probably won’t know more until April.

I’ll definitely translate the bonus story, and I may try to translate the interview with Shiina.

Soon I’ll also write a post about how I buy Bessatsu Margaret, in case any of you would like to collect these bonus items.

Volume 30 is currently scheduled for release in March 2018.

SERVAMP Festival Fanreport (2/5) (Night)

Take note this report contains only the night session. Noon session can be found HERE. And since it will be made into a DVD (that will be released on 28th June), it will be considered spoilers if you are intending to get the DVD so you don’t have to read it if you don’t want to! My report may or may not be a little Kimura Ryohei/Greed pair-centric since I unconsciously focus on them most of the time.

I should also mention that it might not be 100% accurate as it is based off from memory, so sorry if I mess up! I’ll only write what I can remember. And also because I fail at English and suck at writing a report it probably turned out being messier than I thought it would be.......sorry.

※Also, just a light heads up that the night session contains quite a bit of ┌(┌^o^)┐ホモぉ… tension and fanservice (a lot of hugging too) so if you’re uncomfortable with things like that please read with care..(or skip it wholly if you just can’t stand it)

☆INSIDE THE VENUE☆

Pretty flower stands, present boxes (there wasn’t one for Tanaka-sensei so I had to drop the fanproject off at the airport’s post office yesterday), and just outside the entrance to the hall! Lol the Mikuni and Jeje standees freaked me out I thought they were going to be special guests for a moment :’D The pairs are standing in the position shown in the photo (Greed pair on extreme left) during the event.

☆EVENT REPORT☆ (NIGHT)

Like in the noon session, they kick started the event by playing a video with Deal With as the background music, and then introduced the pairs in order. So there were stairs on both the left and right side of the stage, and the Eves/Tsubaki entered from the left while Servamps/Subclasses from the right.

♡ Once again I didn’t really pay attention to the Sloth pair but they did some pose when they got to the center of the stage.

♡ Unlike the noon session, this time both Shimono and Horie (Lust pair) stripped half their jackets (like Lily) XD

♡ (Pride pair) Once again because Murase took some time to get down the stairs (acrophobia maybe?), Onoyuu waited in the center for Murase with open arms. He then hugged Murase’s shoulder and both of them skipped to the front!

♡ (Greed pair) As opposed to the noon session, this time BOTH Zakki and Ryohei did the Angel pose!!

♡ Melancholy trio did some gangster pose when they got to the center of the stage XD

After the introduction, the staff had to set up seats and tables etc. so the host asked the cast to move forward a little more but they moved TOO forward again like in the noon session and Ryohei (plus some others) started sexually harassing Shimono’s man boobs (鳩胸) again pffffft. Someone tried to push him off the stage from behind jokingly too (I think it was Horie) because he went like “YOU were trying to push me off the stage for real weren’t you!!?”

......Oh man from here on the Greed pair’s bond lives very strong.

☆SCENE REMINISCE CORNER☆

So for the first corner, the casts picked their favorite scene of their own character.

♡ Murase picked his entrance scene and talked about how he first met Tetsu.

♡ Onoyuu picked the scene where Hugh got trapped by Belkia (where Hugh got defeated) and asked Misono what he should do at times like these.

♡ Shimono picked the scene where Misono and Tetsu wore disguises and were trying to infiltrate the hotel. He said it didn’t make sense why he was the only one who’s favorite scene selection didn’t get shown in the same session with his respective partner’s. And I think Murase and Onoyuu’s picks had some deeper meaning (which I forgot their explanation) so Shimono was saying it was weird since he picked the scene solely because Misono was adorable there XD

♡ Greed pair both picked the scene where Licht helped/saved Lawless -the scene where he played the piano for Lawless, called him ‘Hyde” while their duet played in the background. According to both of them it was pure coincidence and amazing that they both ended up picking the same scene as when the staff let them choose one of three scenes (on different occasions), the one they both ended up choosing wasn’t even part of the three that were shown to them! Ryohei explains that this scene left a deep impression on him -Lawless went through a lot of character development and even though he’s lived many hundreds of years and looks like that, he’s actually very broken inside. And that he feels very human (even though he’s a vampire) -more so than Licht LOL. ↑ Apparently in the event pamphlet they talked more about it in the interview. I’ll translate an excerpt of it if I feel like it (and have the time..)

♡ Tattsun picked the last episode where his past was revealed. I though Greed pair’s was pretty serious but Tattsun’s was even more serious XD Since it was a half-original-half-manga ending, Tsubaki’s past was shown and Tattsun talked about how he feels really depressed whenever he has to voice Tsubaki because of how much pain Tsubaki’s been going through all these time. I don’t remember his exact words but I think he said some spoilers (?) about how Tsubaki’s actually very lonely all these years -like looking at the other Servamps having Eves and yet he lost his own during a tragic event......or something like that. I’m pretty sure he hinted the creator of Servamp was his Eve? Idk if it’s already revealed in the manga or something because I haven’t caught up with it yet :’D

I think when Greed pair’s picked scene was shown and after they said their thoughts on why they picked that scene, someone told them to stop flirting or something...? I’m not sure if it happened here or somewhere else but I definitely heard イチャイチャ (ichaicha; flirting) being used. The same was said about lust pair though XD (they get very very ridiculous later on...)

☆TSUBAKI’S LET’S TALK ABOUT SOMETHING INTERESTING CORNER☆ 

This corner’s different from the noon session. In the second corner, the host would pick a paper (with a cast’s name written on it) from a box, and who ever’s name gets picked had to roll an 8-sided dice that has the different sins written on it. Whichever sin it lands on, they had to talk about something (that happened) that makes them relate to that particular sin. Since it was Tsubaki’s corner, Tattsun was like “HEY since it’s my corner I can change the rules right? So don’t worry if you (cast) get stuck or have trouble finding things to say -there’s Shimono there to help you♡“ LOL. ---So Shimono ends up getting bullied by his juniors again pffft.

♡ Onoyuu got picked first and he rolled “Wraith”. So he tried to find something to say and ended up talking about how he woke up one day, decided he wants to eat bread with jam but realized the jam was spoilt so he got mad or something??? As Kaji (who was sitting behind) was also caught on the camera, he kept doing the peace sign lmao. Onoyuu then baton passes to Shimono LOL. Shimono takes over and said he’s feeling “Wraith” because of Onoyuu HAHA.

♡ Zakki got picked next and he rolled with “Melancholy”. He talks about his influenza (which he mentioned in the noon session) and how it was frustrating he couldn’t work even though he still had his voice. He also said he felt really bad for inconveniencing Kaji because they had 3 schedules together that very same week he caught influenza. He then tells us to be careful because it’s flu season in Japan right now. Baton passes to Shimono LOL. Shimono cooked up some random story (it could be true, but I don’t know) with influenza/Melancholy as the theme too.

♡ Kaji got picked next and he rolled “Greed”. Just like Kuro, he’s lazy and he immediately baton passes to Shimono without even trying XD Shimono then said he’s feeling “Greed” because somehow it felt like he’s the lead star for this particular corner (or something like that) lmao.

♡ Lastly, SHIMONO HIMSELF GOT PICKED. He didn’t get a chance to roll the dice -Horie flipped it to “lust” and showed it to the audience, deciding (forcing) on the sin Shimono had to talk about. Shimono starts off saying how he thinks he’s エロい (eroi; erotic) LOL. So エロい that even male seiyuus love touching his man boobs (鳩胸) （ ´థ౪థ）

☆GAME CORNER☆ 

This corner is split into three different games: Telepathy (bond testing), Jumping Rope (cooperation testing) (night session only), and Who’s Behind The Door (how well do they know their respective partner)

The Servamps and their respective Eves will form a team (or Servamp/Subclass for Melancholy’s case) and try to score as many points as possible. Each correct answer gives them a point. The team with the most points in the end will be rewarded through a bonus game (which I will explain the rules later).

For the Telepathy game, each person will be handed out a sketchbook. Then, according to the question, the teams would have to answer without looking at each other’s answers and both the Servamp and their respective Eve has to get the same answer in order to score a point. Since there are 3 people in Melancholy trio, if 2 of them gets the same answer, that would be a point. If all 3 of them gets the same answer then that would be 1.5 points. (Starting from the telepathy game it starts going downhill.........)

The first question for this game was if they they could choose another sin to become, what would they choose.

♡ Greed pair were the first to show their answers. Both of them chose to remain as “Greed”! I think they high-fived too.....Idk they were hugging and high-fiving so much I don’t know anymore :’D Anyway one point for them!

♡ Lust pair both wrote “Greed”. One point for them!

♡ Sloth pair both wrote “Wraith”. I think they both mentioned how they wanted to try it once? XD One point!

♡ Pride pair, Onoyuu wrote “Gluttony” while Murase wrote “Shimono-san” LOL. Shimono then said “since when am I a sin?” lmao. No points.

♡ Melancholy trio, Yuuto wrote “Lust” while the other 2 wrote “Sloth”. Yuuto said he wanted to try “Lust” once. One point for them!

Second question was on how close (distance in cm) the pairs are OK with being with each other. (　˙-˙　) . Who thought of this question. Just. Who. With this cast it’s definitely going to become a disaster..........

♡ Melancholy trio went first. Tattsun and Yuuto wrote 0cm while Matsuoka wrote 15cm. Tattsun got a shock at Matsuoka’s answer XD One point for them.

♡ Pride pair next. Tetsu wrote 6.98cm (ロクキュッパ) while Murase wrote 0cm. Tetsu’s 6.98cm is a pun (?) on how much his hot spring costed per pax per night or something I think?? I’m not good at those :’D The funny thing was that they flipped their answers at the same time and Murase (in Hugh’s voice) was like “It’s okay I know what Tetsu is thinking I believe in him” both this time and in the previous question and both times they GOT WRONG. No points.

♡ Sloth pair next. Terashii wrote 50cm while Kaji wrote 0cm. ............Terashii is the ONLY ONE who took the distance thing literally. He questions “isn’t 50cm the normal distance when you are (standing in front of and) talking to someone?”. Plus Kuro’s lazy and all too so maybe it’s a little further or something. Kaji then suddenly faces Terashii and said he could be closer if he tried and started leaning closer???? I think he went past Terashii’s comfort zone hence he took a step back. Either that or he got caught off guard XD No points!

♡ Lust pair next. Shimono wrote 10cm while Horie wrote 0cm. Horie gets sad. The other casts were like “0cm and 10cm doesn’t make a difference!!?” and Shimono retorted that it did. They then made them stand 10cm apart facing each other. ..........and frEAKING HORIE, he leaned in and tried to kiss Shimono what the hell. Of course Shimono backed away in time （ ´థ౪థ） nO POINTS.

♡ Greed pair last. Both wrote 0cm and stood closely facing each other. God the tension, bless. I think they high-fived too, can’t remember.. One point!

For the Jumping Rope game, like the name suggests they would have to jump rope lol. The Eves will swing the rope while their respective Servamp will jump with them. The game is split in two rounds -first round will be Greed vs Sloth and second round will be Lust vs Pride vs Melancholy. For the last team surviving, they get a point. If they manage to last longer than 30 seconds, they get an extra point.

So before they started the actual game, they had 15 seconds (lol) to practice. Because Melancholy has 3 people, Tattsun decided that Matsuoka and Yuuto will be the ones jumping while he watches over them XD

♡ Horie kept moving closer to Shimono lol. In which Shimono backed away and I think he also asked Horie why does he keep moving closer pffft.

♡ Greed pair were extremely focused. Ryohei tugged his body and jumped very closely to Zakki it was really adorable awww.

♡ Murase jumps like a girl according to the cast LOL.

♡ They were all complaining about how 15 seconds were not enough. But time constraints so...

And then during the actual game,

♡ Greed pair and Sloth pair went up against each other first. Sloth pair didn’t last more 5 seconds -they freaking fell to the floor because according to Kaji, Terashima kept jumping forward and he sort of kneed Kaji? LOL. And Terashima nearly fell ON TOP of him -if Terashima didn’t scramble away that would’ve happened (　˙-˙　) Though despite all that chaos!! The Greed pair was still focusing on their side hence lasting longer than 30s and gaining them two points! They also hugged after that awww ♡

♡ Lust pair, Pride pair and Melancholy went up against each other next. The moment it started, Pride pair and Melancholy got defeated already oops. I think they failed to grasp the rhythm/tempo and the rope ended up hitting their legs??  So somehow it’s only the Lust pair left and apparently I think Horie’s chain necklace kept hitting Shimono’s face?? And Terashii and the others were like telling him to endure it because if they could pull through 30 seconds they get an extra point -in which they successfully do and got two points in total.

The last game Who’s Behind The Door is pretty much the same as in the noon session. Except that the Eves and Servamps change roles.

So for this game, there are 5 numbered doors. In the night session, the Eves will go behind the numbered doors and the Servamp will have to guess which door their respective Eves are behind. 2 questions can be asked (first come first serve) and the Eves behind the doors will all have to answer the questions thus giving hints for their respective Servamps to make a better guess, or to confuse the other Servamps. HOWEVER, the mics the Eves are using will be heavily altered into some high-pitched voice used for censorship (Idk how to describe so I found a random video -it sounded something like that but way higher -probably their own doing lmao).

The big screen behind shows the audience where the Eves were, hence the Servamps were not allowed to look back at all cost.

The Eves behind the respective doors were:

#1 - Greed (Zakki) #2 - Melancholy (Tattsun) #3 - Pride (Onoyuu) #4 - Sloth (Terashii) #5 - Lust (Shimono)

Kaji asked the first question; if they wore glasses on a daily basis.

♡ Zakki spoke really slowly but I don’t remember what he said oops. He said he doesn’t really wear glasses in the end I think.

♡ Tattsun was trying to be annoying and dragging out his words and he kept saying よくわかんない (yoku wakannai; I don’t really know) which the other Eves started imitating.....

♡ When Onoyuu was trying to speak, Tattsun and Terashii (?) tried sticking their fingers behind Onoyuu’s glasses (as if to test if they were fake) and Onoyuu was like いじめないで～ (ijimenaide~; don’t tease me~) but it sounded like a freaking baby LOLOL. Though for the Servamps guessing, as they couldn’t see what was going on it sounded very wrong （ ´థ౪థ）

♡ When it was Terashii’s turn to answer, the camera switched to him but what was shown was not Terashima himself but his glasses pffft. And then Terashii speaks off camera and said “I’m definitely not the person who looks like a complete different person without glasses~”. (A running joke in the seiyuu industry is that, whenever Terashii removes his glasses, he looks like a different person so they usually joke and say “who are you” “where is Terashima?” “Terashima is missing” whenever he takes his glasses off XD)

♡ Shimono blew a kiss into the camera (fanservice) and stirred up the audience. He (and Onoyuu) also kept laughing into the mic and his (their) voice made him (them) sound like he’s (they’re) crazy high on drugs or something LOL.

I forgot who asked the second question but they asked what their favorite food were.

♡ Zakki said a lot and he used a higher pitched voice each time so it got more and more difficult to decipher -even the cast couldn’t tell. Shimono and Onoyuu STILL kept laughing and because it was so hilarious, somewhere in the middle of it Ryohei sat and the floor and started laughing too

♡ Tattsun still kept dragging out his I don’t really know~~ I think he also

♡ Onoyuu -half laughing -was saying he has a lot of things he wants to eat

♡ Terashii copies Tattsun’s I don’t really know~~ and then said gummy? maybe I like gummy.

With those answers, the Servamps had to take their pick:

#1 - “Picked” by Ryohei #2 - Picked (?) by Matsuoka and Yuuto #3 - Picked (?) by Murase #4 - Picked by Kaji #5 - Picked by Shimono

♡ The audience were screaming when the Servamps were almost done with their picks because everyone were standing in front of their correct doors (but obviously at this point they didn’t know). The Servamps/Eves then got confused as to why we were screaming and said maybe it meant something?

♡ When door #1 opened to reveal Zakki, the greed pair immediately ran into each others’ embrace. Actually.....Ryohei was pretty clueless lol he only picked this door because that was the only one left for him (and the audience were screaming louder as he approached this door). He had wanted to pick door #4 initially but Kaji was like 良平さん…多分違うと思う (Ryohei-san, I think that’s not right (not your door)) and chased him away XD

♡ Door #2 opened to reveal Tattsun doing a cool pose. I think they all hugged here (I remember the 3 of them hugged somewhere but I’m not sure if it happened here or somewhere else)

♡ Door #3 opens and Pride pair hug!!!!!!!

♡ Door #4 opened to reveal............terashima’s glasses. The person himself disappeared LOL. Kaji then went like Terashii?? Terashii where are you!!? And when Terashima finally comes out without the glasses he’s like “who are you?” pfff. He only acknowledges Terashima after he puts on his glasses back on and they hugged XD Kaji said that he knew Terashima was behind this door almost immediately from the glasses question.

♡ Door #5 opened to reveal a Horie who was half stripping his jacket! I don’t remember if they hugged here or not but because the whole cast hugged so much I don’t remember exactly where what happened.......

♡ Every pair gets a point!

Greed pair won overall. They literally got each and every question correct in the night session’s game corner what the hell. Their bond is definitely strong :’D So they got to play a bonus game for the prizes. The staff pushed out some 9-tile board with prizes written on them. 5 tiles were prizes named according to the sins -the prizes would fall under that category too. The remaining 4 tiles were some random scrubbing brushes as prizes LOL. And each tile had different quantity too... (I think there were x1, x1, x8 and x20 wtf haha). They had to throw a ball from a distance and whatever tile it hits, they would get that prize.

Zakki went first and using his “angel power” (he posed a few times), he tried aiming for the Greed pair prize and he.................got x8 scrubbing brushes HAHAHA.（ ´థ౪థ） Ryohei tried aiming for the Greed pair prize too and he..........GOT IT!!

Then we have an overly happy Zakki who unconsciously hugged Ryohei from the adrenaline but Ryohei didn’t respond to the hug (idk Ryohei is weird sometimes -can’t blame him he’s an AB I love ABs) so it ended up becoming an awkward one-sided hug pffft.

Apparently Greed pair prize is some golden discount coupon from some high class shop or something I don’t know but it looked high class as hell LOL.

Live Reading for night is the same except there’s more adlib involved. For example:

♡ Suzuki Yuuto adlib and caused Matsuoka to blank out and freeze on spot. The others saved him though XD

Started with announcements.

♡ Announced that Servamp Festival (both sessions) will be made into a DVD and releases on 28th June.

♡ Promoted the limited time stores and upcoming cafe.

♡ Promoted the upcoming character song CDs and played Licht’s song in the background.

♡ Host wore Kuro’s jacket/hoodie and promoted it.

After all of these announcements (that were also made in the noon session), the host said there was one final important announcement and told us to watch the PV. A short video footage with all the main Eves/Servamps were shown, and then it went black and showed “SERVAMP -New Project in the Making!!”.

Life has never felt this great.

It think that’s about all that I can remember... Once again I apologize for bad English and the messy report! I do hope it made sense though (>_<)

On the Road to Take On #BigFertility

It's always nerve-racking to premiere your film on the Big Screen. We focus-group test our films as we're making them, getting as much feedback as we can to consider the thoughts and reactions of a regular audience. Early on, we knew we'd have an uphill battle fighting against #BigFertility with the story of a three-time surrogate mother. But we knew we had to tell this story and tell it our way-through the eyes of a woman who experienced first-hand all the problems with surrogacy.

So, taking a deep breath in the Princeton Garden Theatre, I took my seat in the back of a pretty full auditorium, happy that my biggest fear-nobody coming-was put to rest. The energy was good. People I knew were in attendance. Facebook friends came, and it was fun to meet them in person. And strangers were there too. I sensed the audience was engaged and I could feel the reactions of horror and discomfort as the story unfolded. (This is why I always sit in the back-so I can observe the audience.)

As planned, I asked the audience to complete a short survey BEFORE and AFTER watching the film, to get a sense of how informed and what opinions the audience had about surrogacy going in, and if watching the film had made a difference. Before the film, I collected basic demographics of Sex (78% female) and Age Group (over 50% were 30+ years old and the others were 19-29 years old), then asked four questions:

How much do you know about surrogacy?

Is surrogacy a good thing for people to do?

Would you ever be a surrogate or suggest a friend do it?

Surrogacy gives the gift of life-Agree or Disagree?

Going in, 85% knew very little or something about surrogacy; after the film, 99% felt better informed about surrogacy. This is very important! We've conducted national polling of attitudes on surrogacy in the U.S. and it's clear people are simply not informed about the complexities of surrogacy. We are first and foremost, an educational non-profit, so it's clear we are educating people!

Regarding the question of whether surrogacy gives the “gift of life,” comparing the before and after answers, 50% of viewers changed their minds.

Without being asked, people voluntarily wrote comments about the film like:

 . . . a complex issue but it's hard to justify treating children as a commodities

Yashahime Trailer Analysis - Full Breakdown + Theories

The Yashahime - Princess Half-Demon Official Trailer came out August 7th Japan Time like Kaoru Wada had teased for us on the Otakon Livestream. Here we will read off of what was posted on the VIZ Media Official Website "The anime’s been announced, but now you can sink your canines into some more juicy tidbits about the show. The anime stars Towa and Setsuna, the twin daughters of Sesshomaru who get separated in a forest fire. Towa ends up in modern times and is raised by Sota Higurashi, Kagome’s little brother. Ten years later, they are reunited, but Setsuna is a demon slayer with no memories of her sister. First Impressions - @officialkagome​ : “I can tell the Rumiko has a lot of influence in the writing because key points and moments are conveyed just as they were in the Final Act. I believe it's going to be condensed like in the Final Act, but maybe only at first. Focusing on the girls but still including that bonus chapter. I definitely appreciate the animation, it's very aesthetically pleasing.”

Yes, the animation is being directed by the same person who did The Final Act, Sachiya. They also were the same person that did the Adult SessRin artwork that sold it on a calender. Which I actually own. I'm glad for them to return and do the animation. As it makes sense in the continuity. The animation in fact looks even improved further than what we had since the Final Act! Definitely one of my favorite animation directors next to Kumiko.

As I mentioned in my previous video, I talked about the extra chapter "Since Then" that took place after The Final Act. It was made because of the Tsunami that happened in Japan many years ago. A long time ago, I also wrote a post saying if we continued to show our support for the official streams on VIZ Media's website and still showed interest in the series that they would make this into an episode. Back in 2018 Anime Boston it was hinted about the staff wanting to have Rumiko allowed them to make more anime if we continued to show interest. When we got ahold of the scans for the AniMage and AniMedia magazine scans we could confirm that they have been talking about a sequel since the ending of The Final Act.

In the InuYasha Special Chapter 559 "Since Then" Kagome was living in the feudal era with InuYasha for six months. We have a half year time skip. Life in the Feudal Era so far had been peaceful. InuYasha and Miroku were tracking minor youkai that was released from a seal by a landslide, and discover that the demon actually was originally sealed away by Kikyou shortly before she met InuYasha. So we can say over atleast 53 years ago. The youkai is called Ne no Kubi or Root Head in the official VIZ Media subtitles for the trailer - and it was seeking the Shikon no Tama, not realizing it is already destroyed due to being sealed away for so long. Ne no Kubi attacks Kagome, because she clearly looks like Kikyou, but she wounds its head with a sacred arrow and InuYasha kills it with Tessaiga. During it Sesshoumaru appears to protect the village because Rin is there. We can see shots during the trailer that all take place here from this chapter.

For all those Westerners out their that use the term "canon", yes Yashahime is in Fact "canon" to the original timeline continuity. Rumiko Takahashi has been confirmed to have written the foundation story for Yashahime, and has been working closely over the scripts with Sumisawa. It is officially licensed and in no where near being a fanfiction. Remember, canon was a term that was invented by Westeners because of Christianity. Regardless, this sequel is happening. I have so much to talk about this new trailer that it feels like even after I'm done with this video, more ideas are still going to keep popping up in my head.

Towa is seen fighting another school student. She's known for her martial arts. She kicks this guy in the head. She says "You know, you should take my advice and let me go." Talking about her possible abduction. "Things won't be so hot when my friends get here." I think she's talking to the man in the Feudal Era from the first trailer. That's when Moroha and Setsuna break into save Towa. Then it's talking about Root Head from Chapter 559. However says "Root Head was a demon slain by InuYasha and his friends." I don't know if she's talking after it was slain. But Root Head was in fact originally sealed by Kikyou before she met InuYasha. A possible change or retcon from the Manga considering Rumiko's involvement in this. Sesshoumaru is then saying the same lines that he says from the manga "Root head... A worthless piece of vermin. Except..." If we reference the manga he's actually supposed to say Except, and then "It's too persistent."

Root Head gained the powers of the Tree of Ages (Goshinboku). This is the same Goshiboku that InuYasha was sealed on, seeing the arrow mark. If we slow down this footage you can tell that Roothead is growing in the roots of the Goshinboku. It created a passage from the Feudal Era to present day. Sucked through that passage, Towa was torn from her twin sister, Setsuna, and thrown into the present day.

But I think that is talking about AFTER Root head was slain again from it reawakening after the landslide. My guess is that IF everything does continue on the manga like normal from Chapter 559. But during the time it was reawakened it had already made a portal through a tree tunnel like it describes as in Towa's translated description that a fire happens, and everyone scatters. Even during the livestream from Otakon Kaoru Wada mentioned the fire. Towa goes to escape from the fire and finds that specific portal that sends her to the modern era. Unless they want to push the time skip further than 6 months allowing them time to have the kids. Towa is in Reiwa period, that means it's either 2019 or further making it overall a 20 year time skip since chapter 559. I expect that they have kids in a six year time skip that would make sense since they are all 14. The Tree tunnel is described in Towa's description, that means that we pretty much have a second Well. Considering the well was already made from the same type of wood as the Goshinboku was as it was talked about in the first movie. Now imagine if we had three different eras or even that certain events had changed because of this.

Here we see an Adult Souta and 4 year old Towa when he found her in the Modern Era. They're talking in front of the Sacred Tree. Towa's robe pattern is clearly based on Sesshoumaru's belt.

It looks like Souta wanted to pat Towa on the head, but Towa was scared - Then we see Towa brushing her teeth and Souta's daughter. Who looks strikingly similiar to Hitomi. I hope he married her.

Ten years have passed since the Higurashi family took Towa in. It shows Towa talking to Souta's Daughter in front of the tree. In the next shot, she's wiping the blade from her sword. In the narration Towa says "Don't worry! I can handle this." It shows Towa looking up from the original Trailer, where she's abducted. Wearing that patterned robe and the hint of the Lily flowers in the background. She says "Your big sister's pretty strong!" I think she's talking to Souta's daughter as if referencing herself. She picks up her History book and winks. Now it shows Setsuna and Moroha fighting by a waterfall. This is definitely reminding me of some InuYasha VS Sesshoumaru scenes from the past. "My name is Setsuna. I have nothing more to tell you..." "And the reason you die here." Setsuna's eye glows similar to InuYasha's when they found out he had the black pearl inside his right eye that lead to the Inu no Taishou's grave. Everyone has been trying to figure out if there is a special thing showing in her eye. I'm not so sure but I gave it a try as well. I looked at a few pictures of the gravesite and this one seemed to be the best one.

Though I am skeptical of this. Hosenki's son explained it would take roughly 100 years for him to master the process of making one. When InuYasha had returned to his father's grave for the second time, the pearl was somehow able to give him visions of his troubled past as a way to warn him that he wasn't supposed to be there a second time. Now if we think about it, remember how Setsuna has problems with her memories? Maybe in this moment it is a black pearl, and it's showing her flashbacks helping her remember or perhaps she was given an imperfect black pearl that is causing her memory loss.

Moroha is seen sitting down picking her ear. "With this rouge, I become Beniyasha, Destroyer of Lands!" Moroha has her bow, a good nod to her mother Kagome. "Tremble before the bloodthirstydawn!" Now the rouge doesn't always have to mean lipstick, it depends on the context on which it's taken. The rouge could also mean red, the red clothing that she's wearing. If she is going to be wearing lipstick, it would be cool if they somehow were able to magically bring back the lipstick that was once Izayoi's that was given to Kikyou. I know it was destroyed, but you never know. I like the idea of her having InuYasha and Kagome's locket too from the second movie. In the past I always had the idea of their child having that locket. Maybe she's heard about InuYasha as a story or legend, and is calling him "Beniyasha". So she's pretending to be him in a way, along with the bow on her head representing ears like him.

It shows Towa in the modern era, fighting some guys. She's wearing something on trapped onto her back. Could it be her sword, or something else? My wife mentioned that in Japan, open carry of swords is legal.  So I went to double check.

Yes, this is definitely got to be her sword and that she is wearing a sword bag. It has yellow tassels.

I also noticed that there is a symbol at the bottom of her sword bag. It looks like it could be a pinwheel or the Kagome symbol. There are two different versions of the Kagome symbol. 6 pointed and 8 pointed.

"A new wind blows into the Feudal Era." We can see the Dragon symbol on Moroha's sword even more closely. The Dragon is wrapped around an arrow. During the Otakon Live stream Kaoru Wada stated that all three of the girls are the half-demon princesses. Meaning that Moroha would still be called a half-demon regardless of having less demon blood percentage especially during that era. "The Half Demon Princesses are here!"  Moroha is fighting a Mistress Centipede. Is this the same Mistress Centipede from the beginning of InuYasha, that corpse was already in the well? If we remember, Sango has fought Centipede demons before but they weren't a Mistress Centipede. She would be killed for the third time. The Mistress Centipede shown in the trailer has three eyes, while the original one has two.

It shows Hisui, Sango and Miroku's son in his demon slayer armor while riding Kirara. Throwing Hiraikotsu! One thing that stood out to me was the prayer beads around his left arm.

I don't think he has Wind Tunnel but it seems to be a reference to his father Miroku. Considering Miroku has given Kagome prayer beads to wear before. Maybe even Hisui has spiritual powers as well. It also appears that he has Sango's sword as well!

Kohaku, all grown up and he's exactly how I imagined him. It seems like he has a scar on his nose. Maybe it's from wearing his demon slayer mask or from getting cut in a battle. He has the weapon he gets from Toutousai in the last episode of the Final Act. Moroha and Setsuna are battling. Could this be the same waterfall that Kikyou bathed at?

Moroha and Setsuna running off, Towa watching them. A guy knocked out in the background, Spider Lily pattern on the backwall, and a knocked out guy next to where the wall was bashed in. Just like how it was in the first trailer we were shown on the Otakon Live Stream.

Finally, Moroha is using her bow and yes she indeed has priestess spiritual powers like Kagome does! It looks like she's still fighting Mistress Centipede as you can see in the background. The attack is called "Heavenly Arrow Barrage". Similar name to InuYasha's Adamant Barrage.

It shows Setsuna using her Naginata. The Naginata is the weapon that can control wind as stated in her profile when her colors were announced! Much like InuYasha's Bakuryuha, or Kouga's Cyclone. It also reminds me of Sesshoumaru when he was fighting InuYasha inside the Black Pearl at the Inu No Taishou's Grave.

Feudal Fairytale - Yashahime Princess Half-Demon Towa takes out her sword and charges while saying "Setsuna! I'll save you!" Yashahime - Coming this October. October 3rd 2020

When we look at the image that came with the announcement. A few things caught my eye, Kagome and Rin are not seen in the picture. Sesshoumaru and InuYasha are both by the Sacred Tree. Speculating that maybe they're trapped in another dimension, or between times since Root Head was able to take the Goshinboku's power. I wonder if something like this happens, could this give Kagome the ability to not age? I'm still for my theory that she shouldn't age because she wasn't born yet, the same way her items were unaffected by Kaguya in the second movie when she froze time. People think InuYasha is holding something, no that is his forelocks and the shading on the tree. No, there is no secret image in Towa's blue sword attack. But hey we get a better look at Hisui's prayer beads on his arm.

There is a new character, everyone speculates to be Shippou and unsure of the character's gender. Looking at the HD picture.

The character has green eyes, dark red hair and purple eyeshadow. It sort of reminds me of Shippou or Ayame's possible child with Kouga. I would have said it was Takechiyo in a human form since Raccoons and Foxes are known to shape shift. But Takechiyo has blue eyes. It's not Jinenji, has blue eyes - Though I think it could be a new character. Could be boy or girl. Determining their gender is something I'm on the fence about atleast by the physical sight of it. Their body seems flat and rugged with torn sleeves, but wearing makeup. There's alot of males who wear makeup in InuYasha. Their attire also seems to be the kind that is most commonly worn by males. But Towa also is another character that dresses male. This character clearly has a weapon. More than likely a sword. Something that's interesting about this picture is that Towa's sword is shaped like Tessaiga in the picture when she's doing her special attack. It zig zags upward like a staircase into the sky - as if representing time passed. You notice it when you realize the other characters are actually not standing on something.

On the Road to Take On #BigFertility

It's always nerve-racking to premiere your film on the Big Screen. We focus-group test our films as we're making them, getting as much feedback as we can to consider the thoughts and reactions of a regular audience. Early on, we knew we'd have an uphill battle fighting against #BigFertility with the story of a three-time surrogate mother. But we knew we had to tell this story and tell it our way-through the eyes of a woman who experienced first-hand all the problems with surrogacy.

So, taking a deep breath in the Princeton Garden Theatre, I took my seat in the back of a pretty full auditorium, happy that my biggest fear-nobody coming-was put to rest. The energy was good. People I knew were in attendance. Facebook friends came, and it was fun to meet them in person. And strangers were there too. I sensed the audience was engaged and I could feel the reactions of horror and discomfort as the story unfolded. (This is why I always sit in the back-so I can observe the audience.)

As planned, I asked the audience to complete a short survey BEFORE and AFTER watching the film, to get a sense of how informed and what opinions the audience had about surrogacy going in, and if watching the film had made a difference. Before the film, I collected basic demographics of Sex (78% female) and Age Group (over 50% were 30+ years old and the others were 19-29 years old), then asked four questions:

How much do you know about surrogacy?

Is surrogacy a good thing for people to do?

Would you ever be a surrogate or suggest a friend do it?

Surrogacy gives the gift of life-Agree or Disagree?

Going in, 85% knew very little or something about surrogacy; after the film, 99% felt better informed about surrogacy. This is very important! We've conducted national polling of attitudes on surrogacy in the U.S. and it's clear people are simply not informed about the complexities of surrogacy. We are first and foremost, an educational non-profit, so it's clear we are educating people!

Regarding the question of whether surrogacy gives the “gift of life,” comparing the before and after answers, 50% of viewers changed their minds.

Without being asked, people voluntarily wrote comments about the film like:

 . . . a complex issue but it's hard to justify treating children as a commodities

After you help the woman in the med bay from the thugs in the citadel station she will give you a discount on her items buy everything you can then go to the market place and sell the items you got then buy back then sell to med bay lady then repeat.

Secret Message From VI

On the moon when you have to go and disable the rouge VI after you go to the last building and destroy the last node a message pops up with binary code on it. If you translate the Binary code to Text you will find out that the VI might not have been a VI at all. I will leave it upto you to translate. I don’t want to spoil it.

Killing Organics

The best way to kill organics are anti-personnel rounds and its upgraded version shredder ammo.

Killing Geth

The best types of ammo to use against the Geth are armor piercing ammo and its upgraded version tungsten ammo.

Power Gamer And Extreme Power Gamer

Power Gamer requires you to reach level 50, and Extreme Power Gamer requires level 60. It is impossible to reach either one by playing the story alone, and it is impossible to reach level 60 on your first play through, because the cap is set to 50. The best way to accomplish it is to play every world and assignment, so that you receive the Completionist achievement. It gives +5% bonus experience, which adds up on your second play through. Second, whenever you land on a planet, do everything you find there. That includes salvaging all the debris. Second, do not use the mako for killing enemies other than the colossus, armatures, or dropships, because you only receive about half the experience for kills with the mako. There is nothing worse than sinking 12 hours of play trying to reach them, only to finish at level 49 with 1,000 experience to go.

Recommended Career

Play as a War Hero Soldier first. By doing this, during your second play through you will have all of the money, weapons, and armor to use for the other careers.

Romantic Subplot

This works with either Ashley Williams or Liara Tsoni. All you have to do is talk to either one after each mission and eventually their will be a romance seen. (Dont say anything renegade to them or else this might not work).

Nicer People To Higher Ranks

When you land on The Citadel you will encounter people that already know you, but they don’t like you that much. To get them to like you more all you have to do is become a specter then talk to them once more and this time they will pay attention.

No More Radio On Elevator

When you go into the elevator make sure your team mates both have helmets on. When you press the elevator button turn your camera to in between them so they are the center of the screen. Most of the time this works if done correctly. Your team mates will talk about what they did and what had happened.

Easily Get Power Cells For Feros

When you go to fight the Varren on Feros there will be A crashed vehicle after the Alpha Varren. Go to the back of the vehicle get the power cells and continue your way back to the surface of Feros for an easy thousan exp. and two thousand credits.

Mother Ship On Eden Prime Land Site

Before you go investigate the prothean beacon go behind it your team should start talking about how it looks like a bomb hit it. I’d think you would agree.

Team Mates You Should Bring To The Thorian

To easily beat the Thorian you should bring either the asari biotic and Ashley Williams the soldier, or bring Wrex and another person that isn’t Tali.

Easily Defeat Thorian

On the planet Feros you will end up having to fight a giant telekineses using plant called the Thorian. When you go fight the Thorian you will have to fight an Asari who keeps resurrecting itself and Thorian Creepers, so bring shotguns and biotic powers to this party.

Easy Getting Off Of Virmire

When your on Virmire you have one team mate arming a bomb while the geth are shooting at him, and on team mate with Salarians pounding the geth into the ground. Choose who ever is with the salarians, unless you want to fight a whole geth ship then save the team mate at the nuke, but going back to the geth ship is suicide, it’s your call.

Easily Kill Saren (After Resurrection)

You won’t be able to make a good shot on Saren when he is jumping around so wait until he stops to shot at and have your team shoot him or hit him with all the biotic powers, weapons, and overloadings that your team has until he moves again. Continue this pattern and Saren will fall to you in no time.

Easily Defeat Saren (Before Resurrection)

To Easily kill Saren before he is resurrected by Sovereign walk sideways avoiding his rockets while you are shooting at him, destroying his shields, or using biotic powers.

Boxes Before The Beacon.

At the end of Eden Prime don’t go for the the beacon before you open the four boxes. One is a tech kit to the far right of the beacon. Another is a crate that is close to the left of the beacon.The third one is a locker with a needed easy decryption skill behind and to the right of the beacon. The final one is Med locker with a needed easy decryption skill to the far left of the beacon.

Gun Out In The Elavators

Take out your gun talk to a team mate while you talk to a team mate press the elevator button.

While your at the citadel go over to the consort chambers. She will have a mission for you complete it. Easy Charismatic Achievement

Every time you level up add on to charm or intimidate. At the end of the game use charm or intimidate when possibly and Saren kills himself and you get the achievement.
