Too Much Time - if Shadow was never put into stasis.

And we're back!! I'm deviating from the game storylines more here because I want to focus more on... well, not that. ALSO: there is a point where the year is said - but I don't want to give exact dates. So you get the last part of them filled with X's to give any dates possible with a 50 year gap :D

Shadow and Sonic ran all the way to the place he called "home." It was quite far away from the facility. How did Sonic end up there in the first place? So many questions piling up, and not enough answers. He wasn't even sure if his voice worked enough to ask anymore.

It was a nice looking village, built in the forest with trees all around. Houses were scattered all around on the ground and in the trees, with walkways between them all. He could hardly believe his eyes. An entire community, just like this. Technology and nature, co-existing together.

Sonic chuckled. "Never seen a forest village before? Don't worry, I'm sure we can find a place for you to call your own, here. Oh- right! We never finished introductions. Are you able to talk?"

He tried again to speak, only coming out with a broken and raspy "hhhh-hhhhhhh." It hurt to even try. He put a hand to his throat and shook his head, frowning.

"Hey, that's okay! Let's find my buddy Tails, he should have something for you to write on. His house is over here, c'mon!" Sonic walked him over to one of the bigger houses, the only one in sight with a giant metal door alongside the normal one. He knocked on the door. "Tails, you home? It's me!"

The door slammed open. An orange, two-tailed fox stood there with tears in his eyes. "Sonic, where have you been?! You said you'd only be gone for a couple of hours! It's been an entire week!"

Sonic wore a smile - the kind one might have if they were in trouble. "Hey, hey, buddy, I'm sorry! I kinda got caught up with a few things... but look, I'm here now, and I'm okay! I had some help from a new friend," he said, nodding at the new friend as he waved awkwardly. "I think it would've taken a lot longer if he wasn't there. Oh! Speaking of, do you have something to write on? I think he can't talk."

Tails sniffles, wiping his tears away. "O-oh, yeah I do. Come on in!" He waved them inside, and his house was massive. He could swear it was bigger than the outside looked like it could be. Tails handed him a pen and notepad, smiling somewhat sheepishly. "You should learn sign language to communicate more easily in the future, but for now this should work! Go ahead and keep it, I've got plenty."

This got Sonic to rush over, from wherever he'd gone. Shadow didn't even notice until he came back. "Oh, oh! Can you tell us your name now?

Taking the notepad and pencil without another look, he wrote, “Shadow. Been gone long time. What year is it?”

Tails grimaces. This can't be good. Shadow wasn't there for that long, right? ..... right? Tails wrung his hands around one of his tails before nervously saying, "It's 20XX."

His expression instantly grew serious, his ears flattening. ..... 20XX? The last time he saw a calendar, it was 19XX. The weight of realization hit Shadow all at once, making him falter. Sonic was quick to catch him, and helped him over to the couch.

"Easy there, buddy. You alright? Need some water?"

Shadow didn't respond, holding his head with a hand.

"Sonic, I think we should give him some time to process this," Tails suggests, turning to Shadow. "Will you be okay on the couch for now?" Shadow gave a small nod. "Okay. Then we're gonna leave you here for a little bit. Sonic, I need you to come with me for a checkup."

"What? Me?! I'm fine!" Sonic protested.

Tails rolls his eyes. "You were gone for an entire week, Sonic. I just want to make sure that you don't have any underlying sicknesses or anything. And I need you to tell me what happened."

"Ugh, fine..." Sonic follows Tails into another room across the house, leaving Shadow on the couch to process.

In the other room...

Sonic sits on a chair, kicking his legs impatiently. "I hate this part."

Tails shakes his head, grabbing some instruments. "Well, it's important that I examine you. I know I'm not a doctor, but I can at least pick up enough to know if you need one. Now, what happened?"

Sonic kicked back and got comfortable while Tails did his thing. "Well... you know how I told you I saw some drones that seemed suspiciously Eggman-style? They weren't even trying to go towards our home, though. So I figured maybe he was going after something else, which, y'know... that would be bad if it was some powerful doomsday crystal or something. So I followed them. I guess I must've gotten ambushed though, because the next thing I knew, I was waking up underwater. Except it wasn't water. I could still breathe."

Tails stopped and cocked an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I mean I was in some weird glass-cylinder-thing. It was barely wide enough to hold me, and I couldn't get up any speed or momentum to break it. It felt super weird. But then Shadow showed up a couple days later and broke me out! And now we're here, so it's all good!" He gave a thumbs-up and smile.

Tails threw up his arms. "Sonic, they put you in a stasis tube! Gah, you're so lucky Shadow was there! Do you remember anything other than that and escaping?"

"Uhhh... I think I felt a tiny pain in my arm while I was out, but it was barely noticeable. Like someone pinching me." Sonic rubs his nose.

Tails' ears droop. "Sonic.... I'm gonna have to do a couple more invasive tests now. I need to know what they did to you, and since you don't know..." Tails rummages through his drawers and gets a needle and syringe, which gets Sonic standing up on the chair.

"Oh, no! I don't need that! I told you, buddy, I'm fine!" Sonic crosses his arms.

Tails sighs. "I just need to draw a little bit of blood to test. And I'll need a quill, too. Just... sit back down, and it'll be over before you know it. Look, I'll even get some chili dogs for you after." That did it. Sonic sat back down and stretched out his arm, still trembling a bit behind the hero facade.

"Well, why didn't you say so? Draw away!"

........

Tails placed the blood and quill in his machines for testing. "Alright, that's going to examine everything automatically, and it'll be about an hour before it's done. Want to check back in on Shadow?"

"Sure! I want to make sure he's doing okay. Race you there!" Sonic disappears in the blink of an eye, getting a groan out of Tails.

"Sonic.... You know I can't ever keep up with you when you go that fast!" Tails follows after Sonic, stopping short when he sees Sonic standing over the couch, holding a piece of paper. "Sonic?"

"He's... gone. I only found this note on the couch." Sonic shows Tails the note.

"Unfinished business. Back tomorrow. - Shadow"

Sonic and Tails share a worried look between themselves.

This was a fun episode, I loved it!! Seeing my boys is always a plus and I appreciate the return of some side characters. With how the world is right now, I really needed this episode. So, thanks Team, for keeping my spirits up.

I just enjoyed watching my silly little guys doing silly little adventures. Traffic is a nightmare so I don't blame Mario in the slightest. Anyway, 3 and 4, how was your date? /silly

Can we just talk about the animation? It was so good!!! You really see the quality they put in, especially in that fighting scene. I didn't expect MARTY of all people to be the cause of all this. I honestly thought it was going to be a gag of something harmless just being in the middle of the road for no reason (like a turtle or smth) and the Crew being like "ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!" but NOPE, Marty was here and apparently A SORCERER?! I really shouldn't be surprised, what am I talking about here. And ofc the OG duo immediately beating the shit out of him is so fucking funny to me. He didn't die (I know that), but he's definitely going to be more relevant in the future.

SMG4 show and jokes aside, I hope you all are ok. No matter what happens, we'll stick together. Don't give them the satisfaction that they want. You aren't alone, and we'll keep on fighting.

Going to be a Sonic fan here, Sonic 06 is famously known to be... augh. But there is a good moment with Shadow that I think is relevant now:

Mephiles (the villain of the game): "It's futile. The world will betray you. Why fight at all? Why risk your life for those who will persecute you later?" Shadow: "If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have."

Anyway. Tiny Sonadow Songfic thing under the line. (NSFW for Queen Sabrina’s lyrics)

Sonic and the gang were practicing their performance for a local charity event. It had been a while since they had been able to jam together, but this was as good an excuse as any to do it. Amy was on bass and backup vocals, Sonic was on guitar and vocals, Tails had the keyboard, and Knuckles took the drums. Only difference between now and the last time they performed is Sonic has a “groupie” with him now.

“I told you if you called me a groupie again, I’d knock that stupid smirk right off your face,” Shadow grumbles, arms crossed from where he stands in front of the stage.

In reality, they were having rehearsals before the event in a few hours, and Shadow had thoughtfully brought them all lunch. He in fact was not a groupie. But he did love hearing them perform. Especially Sonic. Even if he’d never say it.

“Aw come on,” Sonic grins all cheeky, “I’d be honored to have you as my number one fan!”

“A fan is one thing. But I’m not resorting myself to be titled as someone who stalks you for attention or whores myself out to your band simply because of your fame,” Shadow huffs, taking everything far too literal, as always.

“I didn’t— ya’know what? We’ll just stick with number one fan then,” Sonic surrenders, not wanting to waste rehearsal time trying to explain to his boyfriend that he was simply kidding.

“What song is next??” Knuckles asks, spinning his drumstick around in his hand— Sonic swears he has no idea how he does that with giant, poky mittens on.

“Uhh..,” Sonic squints his eyes in thought as he tries to remember the next song on their set list, “Juno, I think.”

Amy immediately squeals excitedly, bouncing up and down with a grin, “Eeee! I love Sabrina Carpenter! I’m so obsessed with her!”

Sonic chuckles at this, smiling at his friend’s enthusiasm. But what really catches his attention is how Shadow’s ear twitches slightly and his tense and defensive stance relaxes into something almost eager.

“Hey, Shads?” Sonic tilts his head with a quirk of his brow, “You’re a pretty diehard Sabrina fan, too, right?? Didn’t you guys just go to a concert a month back??”

“Yes,” he nods, “it was adequate..”

“It was the femininomenon event of the year!” Amy counters to which Shadow merely smirks.

“Didn’t realize you were so feminine,” Sonic teases with a little smug smirk in his boyfriend’s direction. This doesn’t seem to get under Shadow’s skin the way he hoped it would, though.

“I can be when I want to be,” he shrugs. Sonic blinks at this, quirking a brow a bit curiously.

“Hm… well, why don’t you come up here and join us on the stage for this one then???” Sonic challenges, “Show me just how feminine you can be.”

Shadow quirks his own brow at this, seeming to consider it a moment.

“Come on,” Sonic snorts, “It’s just for rehearsal. Or are you just too scared?..”

Shadow narrows his eyes at Sonic then before giving a nod, “Alright..” He never was one to back down from a challenge. Especially not from Sonic.

Amy cheers excitedly, Tails and Knuckles share a slightly skeptical look. Sonic just watches Shadow climb onto the stage with them, smiling and offering a hand to help him up before nodding his head towards his mic before taking a step back from it to give Shadow space.

They exchange a little playfully competitive glare As Shadow steps to the mic, now standing in front of it with a hand on his hip, his other resting easy at his side.

“Oh this is gonna be so fun!” Amy giggles, “Just like at the concert!”

Shadow just smiles a bit at this, nodding his head towards Sonic to gesture that he’s ready.

Sonic nods back before counting down, “1. 2. 1, 2, 3, 4!”

Tails starts them off on the keyboard, Amy joining in the base and then Knuckles laying down the beat before Sonic begins on his guitar, eager emerald eyes watching his boyfriend begin to slowly sway to the music.

“Don’t have to tell your hot ass a thing. Oh yeah, you just get it,” Shadow’s voice is quiet at first. Breathy and shy, similar to Sabrina’s at the beginning of the song. Though, Sonic isn’t sure if this is on purpose or Shadow simply is trying to beat his anxious nerves.

“Whole package, babe, I like the way you fit it. God bless your dad’s genetics,” Shadow sings beginning to nod his head as the music picks up to be a bit more peppy, “You make me wanna make you fall in love. Oh, late at night, I’m thinkin’ ‘bout you, ah, ah-ahh—“

Shadow spares a glance back to Amy as he sings the next lyrics, remembering how she had been the lucky fan to be arrested at Sabrina’s concert when they attended it.

“Wanna try on my fuzzy pink handcuffs?”

Amy giggles along at this, Sonic riffing the end of the bridge as Shadow sings—

“Oh, I hear you knockin’, baby. Come on up.”

Shadow’s hand rises to hold the mic on the stand, voice becoming a bit more confident now as his eyes shut and his brows knit up,

“I know you want my touch for life. If you love me right, then who knows? I might let you make me Juno. You know I just might. Let you lock me down tonight. One of me is cute, but two, though? Give it to me, baby.”

Sonic is grinning from ear to ear as Shadow sings, watching how his boyfriend’s foot begins tapping and his body begins swaying. Never thought he’d be hearing him perform a song about begging to get knocked up, but it’s somehow so endearing coming from Shadow. And there’s something so soft about how Shadow seems to lose himself in music.. like he’s safe when his eyes shut and the sounds flow.

“You make me wanna make you fall in love, ow!”

”That all you got??” Sonic challenges over the music between the first chorus and second verse, Shadow looking over to him with a slight furrow of his brows.

“What do you mean??”

“Just wasn’t very feminine is all,” Sonic shrugs, still strumming along, “not too impressed.”

Shadow’s lips purse at this, eyes narrowing at Sonic as he gets ready for the next verse. Jerking the mic off the stand, he turns to Sonic and starts strutting towards him. Sonic’s eyes follow his every move as his brows start to slowly raise.

“I showed my friends,” Shadow spins right as he gets to Sonic, swerving around him to instead stand before Amy and hold up his hand, “then we high-fived.” Amy laughs, lifting her hand from her bass a split moment to high-five Shadow before returning right to playing.

Shadow’s eyes never leave Sonic, batting his lashes and pouting his lips all innocent, “Sorry if you feel objectified, oh.”

Sonic smirks at this, chuckling under his breath as his eyes follow Shadow’s hips. Watching how he approaches Sonic again all slow while gripping the mic with both hands,

“Can’t help myself, hormones are high.”

”Ow!” Amy howls supportively at Shadow nailing the high riff, Knuckles now seeming very amused by this whole thing as well while Tails rolls his eyes and shakes his head with a little grin.

“Give me more than just some butterflies,” Shadow sings, reaching a hand out to playfully flick Sonic’s nose.

“Hey!” Sonic laughs, watching Shadow wink all flirty before he turns to walk to the back by Tails.

“You make wanna make you fall in love,” Shadow struts around Tails before turning to lean his back against him, Tails laughing and doing the same so they’re back to back while Tails plays and Shadow sings, “Oh, late at night, I’m thinkin’ ‘bout you, ah, ah-ahh.”

Shadow spins away from Tails and skips across the stage to the back by Knuckles instead, “Wanna try out some freak positions??”

Sonic once again does the riff on the guitar, but his eyes are locked on Shadow’s as Shadow looks straight at him with such blatant bedroom eyes. Sonic swallows hard, watching as Shadow turns and arches his back to sway his hips and run his tail along the windchimes perfectly in sync with the music. Sonic’s eyes watch the black tail run along each wind chime while Shadow seductively sings,

“Have you ever tried this one??”

Knuckles wolf whistles, Amy cat calls him and Tails just laughs all shocked. Sonic can’t help but laugh as well, quite shocked by his boyfriend’s no-shame performance, blushing as Shadow prances back to the front of the stage with a very proud and smug smirk.

“I know you want my touch for life. If you love me right, then who knows? I might let you make me Juno. You know I just might let you lock me down tonight. One of me is cute, but two, though? Give it to me, baby. You make me wanna make you fall in love.”

The music goes softer and Shadow’s eyes shut, placing the mic back on the stand as he sings, “Adore me, hold me and explore me..”

Sonic watches Shadow’s hips sway back and forth, how his gloved hands slide up and down the pole of the mic stand. Fingertips just barely grazing the metal. Teasing it.

“Mark your territory,” Shadow sings, eyes slowly opening again as his hands slide back up the stand to the mic all smooth and beckoning. Sonic’s eyes slide up from the movement to find Shadow’s looking right back at him.

“Tell me I’m the only, only, only, only one.”

Shadow takes the mic back off the stand, slowly walking towards Sonic and the way he moves is like he’s gliding—

“Adore me, hold me and explore me..”

The world disappears as Shadow closes the space between him and Sonic, reaching his free hand out to run a finger up Sonic’s chest and under his chin. Sonic swears the slow beat of the drum is his heart. His eyes are wide and watching Shadow’s, completely entranced by him. Shadow is looking at Sonic’s mouth. Singing it like he’s begging for it.

“I’m so fuckin’ horny.”

Sonic swallows. Shadow leans in close over Sonic’s guitar.

“Tell me I’m the only, only, only, only one..”

Sonic’s eyes are half-lidded when Shadow stops just shy of kissing him, watching Shadow’s teeth bite down on his lower lip. The Ultimate Lifeform smirks at how easy Sonic looks currently before muttering between them— Sonic can feel his breath against his mouth with how close they are,

“Had enough?—!”

Sonic cuts off the end of it by catching Shadow off guard and quickly closing the gap, mashing their mouths together. Shadow is wide eyed only a moment before kissing back.

Sonic pulls away before Shadow can even catch up to what just occurred, grinning proudly and hearing Knuckles cheering for him that he stole the kiss.

Sonic quickly begins shredding on his guitar, face beaming in victory as Shadow blinks, shakes his head, and chuckles at him. Then he begins dancing to Sonic’s playing, Sonic ripping it up on his guitar with a light blush dusting his cheeks. Eyes still watching Shadow and how he dances to him.

Shadow sings the chorus one more time, Sonic bouncing in sync with him while playing. Shadow is smiling that rare and bright smile that makes Sonic’s stomach do flips and makes stupid, silly challenges and competitions between one another like this so worth it. They keep each other on their toes. Literally.

Shadow the Hedgehog (Sonic Prime, Character Analysis - Part 2)

Welcome back to the second part of my analysis of Shadow's character in Sonic Prime. I will admit, after re-reading my previous analysis, I realized that this wasn't becoming an analysis of just Shadow's character, but also Sonic's, considering how much they influence each other and their interactions help each other to develop. I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, so I'll just take it step by step.

Note, this part will only cover the first half of Episode 09: Avoid the Void, since it is a very Sonic and Shadow-centered episode, meaning that there is a lot to talk about (and there is also a limit to the number of screenshots I can post).

So, let's dive in!

Episode 09: Avoid the Void is the turning point in Shadow's relationship with Sonic and is also the point where the Sonadow ship really took off. I will try to keep things professional and just focus on the character analysis, but I'm certain that I speak the truth when I say that Sonic Prime definitely shows us the appeal of this particular ship.

To start off, we have a flashback showing us what exactly had happened to Shadow after he entered The Void. He attempted to follow Sonic as the latter was launched into New Yoke City, but after failing to pass through the gate, he was knocked back, losing the Chaos Emerald in the process.

Shadow then tries again to get through the gate, each punch showing us a flash of what is going on with Sonic while he is in New Yoke City, including information about the Paradox Prism energy and Shadow's point of view in regards to what happens when Sonic uses his Prism energy.

Shadow quickly realized that he can use this to talk to Sonic, but as we know from before, Sonic either thinks he is hallucinating or leaves Shadow on read. The explosion of energy that Sonic then releases knocks Shadow back to a different gate, which I'll talk about in a moment. We then follow Shadow as he tries to find a way to contact Sonic while he is sent to different Shatterspaces.

As we already know, it doesn't really work, but Shadow is determined to contact Sonic at any cost, and once Sonic is sent flying out of No Place, Shadow manages to stop him by kicking a crystal at him, leading us to the scene from the previous episode, where Shadow reveals to Sonic that not only is Green Hill gone, but also punches him for his troubles. As I had said before, Sonic definitely deserved that punch for being so reckless.

Shadow then keeps fighting Sonic out of sheer frustration, with Sonic asking him to just leave him alone, not realizing that this isn't just some Shatterverse Variant of Shadow, but actually the Shadow he knows.

''I'm stuck in here, and it's all your fault, Sonic!'' ''Yeah, yeah, what else is new? Wait, how do you know my name? Unless... *gasp* Shadow, you're... you!''

''The real you!''

Sonic is absolutely elated when he realizes that this is the Shadow he knows, immediately hugging him. It really shows how much he missed a familiar face, not caring that Shadow beat him up just a moment ago. Honestly, it's sooooo adorable!! (≧◡≦)

''The only me!''

In contrast, Shadow is not happy about the reunion, pushing Sonic away and leaving the azure hedgehog saddened. I cannot fault Shadow for this reaction because he was stuck in The Void for who knows how long, having to track down Sonic and processing the fact that their home is now gone thanks to Sonic. I suppose that beating Sonic up was also just him venting his frustrations.

''You just don't listen. What part of our home doesn't exist anymore are you not understanding?'' ''What did you just say?'' ''What do you think I've been trying to tell you? When you broke the Paradox Prism, you broke our reality. Green Hill is gone! It doesn't exist anymore!''

Remember when I talked about Shadow and Sonic having issues with communication? Well, it seems that they have finally reached their breaking point. This is the first time Shadow has explained to Sonic what is going on and this is also the first time Sonic actually listened to him.

Sonic is obviously devastated, having not intended for this to happen. He acknowledges that this is his fault and how things keep getting worse, and I will add that, even if Sonic had a plan to get the Prism Shards and fix things with Nine's help, he had been still going from one Shatterspace to another without any proper aim or focus. Fortunately, things are about to change.

Shadow just sighs, realizing that Sonic really has no clue what he's doing, and decides to explain the situation to him.

''Follow me!''

What is up with that dramatic stance? I mean, Shadow can be a bit dramatic, but still. X3

Sonic follows Shadow, wondering how he ended up here. Shadow explains how he chased him up to the cave where the Paradox Prism was just about when Sonic shattered it, so he used the Chaos Emerald to teleport out, but when he reappeared, he was in The Void, stuck between the Shatterspaces.

As Sonic and Shadow stand before the New Yoke City gateway, we can see Shadow eyeing Sonic's shoes, or rather, the tech on his shoes. We'll get to it later, but it is clear that Shadow had been forming this plan for quite a while now.

Sonic wonders whether Shadow has been able to see him this whole time, with Shadow replying how that was only possible because Sonic kicked up Prism energy every time he got fast, thinning the veil to The Void. He was basically opening a portal through the gateway, with Sonic figuring out how that was how he teleported into No Place. Shadow kept tracking him from gateway to gateway.

''What's down there?'' ''Not sure. From what I can tell, it's an eternity of darkness that decays all life.''

As Sonic points into what appears to be a black hole, Shadow explains what he thinks it is, remembering the loss of the Chaos Emerald. Honestly, while listening to their conversation, I felt oddly calm. I guess it feels sort of strange, but also soothing, for Sonic and Shadow to have natural conversation, trying to make sense of their situation. I really love these quiet moments.

Sonic then wonders why Shadow hadn't followed him in, with Shadow explaining that while Sonic can enter the Shatterspaces, he can't... with one exception.

''When you unleashed a shockwave from New Yoke, it blew me to the outer reaches of The Void, and led me here. And for reasons I haven't figured out yet, this gateway let me in. Maybe it's because the Shatterspace isn't fully formed. Maybe it's decaying. I'm not sure. But, it's not whole.''

''Like a ghost.'' ''So then, what is this place?'' ''Come see for yourself.''

I'll stop here just to praise Shadow's VA, Ian Hanlin. Shadow's voice really conveys his emotions and I could just spend the whole episode just listening to it. He's serious and calm, but his voice is also oddly soothing as he just explains things to Sonic, with no hint of anger in it. He is just trying to make sense of things not even he understands.

He and Sonic then pass through the gateway...

...and while Shadow manages to land on his feet, Sonic just faceplants.

I just love how Shadow rolls his eyes here, it's hilarious. He's so used to Sonic's antics.

Moving on, Sonic starts exploring what appears to be Green Hill, except it looks like it has all life drained from it. While he is excited to see his home and his friends, he slowly comes to a very horrifying realization.

''What's wrong with them?'' ''It's a Shatterspace, Sonic, just like the others. Cruel version to make us suffer.''

Sonic's friends are stuck in a loop of saying the same thing over and over again, looking like ghosts of their former selves. Sonic is devastated, with Shadow voicing his thoughts on this place, this Ghost Hill. I think it's really telling how he claims that this place is cruel and created to make them suffer. He clearly cares about his home and he probably had his own moment of processing what Ghost Hill really was.

Sonic wasn't the only one suffering.

I think this is a good place to say that Team Dark doesn't appear to exist in this universe, and Shadow and Rouge don't appear to be friends. I believe that Sonic later says it himself, but yeah, Shadow is friendless in Sonic Prime, so seeing this shot of him glancing back at Ghost Rouge is kind of heartbreaking when you know their history.

Shadow considers Green Hill his home, and even if he isn't close with Sonic and his friends, he cares about them. He also understands Sonic's pain.

''How do I fix this?''

Sonic is finally hit with the full realization of what his recklessness had caused, asking Shadow how to fix it.

I will be talking more in detail about it in Part 3, but knowing what we know, I believe that Shadow here is on the fence of whether he is going to help Sonic or do things by himself.

From what we saw so far, Shadow has seen a side of Sonic where the latter finally listens to him and understands the consequences of his actions, and whenever he was asked to explain things further, he always makes a grimace and sighs. If he wanted, Shadow could've told Sonic nothing or just kept him out of loop, and actually gone with his own plan. Instead, he tells Sonic everything he knows and, even if it's a small part of him he won't acknowledge until much later, he knows that he will need Sonic's help in some capacity.

However, knowing what the rest of the episode holds for us, and knowing Shadow in general, it would take him another fight to understand that his own plan won't work.

Sonadowtober 2024 Day 15

Day 15 was swords

This pic is pre-Sonadow & takes place when Venice is a baby possibly an one year old. At this point only those close with Sonic are aware that Venice is Sonic's son with Rouge, Knuckles(both having a baby daughter of their own), Big, Vanilla & Tails helping him with preparing to become a single parent.(Eggman caused Mephiles to disappear when Sonic first became pregnant & Sonic at some point was forced to accept he might be dead) Outsiders are made to believe he's started babysitting Venice with Vanilla helping him when needed.

Something led to Shadow ending up staying the night at Sonic's with Sonic finally feeling like they're close enough to admit Venice is his son & the father is possibly dead thanks to Eggman. Sonic decides to show Shadow a room he keeps items from past adventures as mementos so Shadow can see a replica sword of Caliburn who Sonic still thinks about. While Shadow already respected Sonic he feels even more respect for Sonic after this "sleepover" & can't help but feel like they're alike thanks to having lost many people that they were close with.

I kind of imagine Sonic has a wooden replica(maybe metal or some other material, he can still use it to fight but it's still used for display) he made of Caliburn, this was kind of inspired by a fic were Shadow was caring for Sonic while Sonic was sick & Sonic mistook him for Lancelot.(LINK) Sonic had a replica of Caliburn because after his adventures in Camelot it felt like something was missing without Caliburn.

There's a non-Sonadow fic called "Once a King, Always a King" were the knights due to Eggman end up in Sonic's time & go for him for help before searching for their swords who escaped so Eggman couldn't use them. In the fic Sonic is reunited with Caliburn but it's Caliburn from modern day & not from the knights' time which allows Sonic to keep his sword/friend instead of having to say goodbye when the knights return home. I was almost tempted to be inspired by that to let Sonic have Caliburn but then I realized like with Zonic & Scourge I wasn't sure what to do with him so he's not here.

Back on topic I imagine Sonic has a replica he built of Caliburn so he can in a way have him around in a sense. I imagine he likely has a dagger that can turn into a sword so he can use a sword again(with it also being portable since swords are tricky to carry around all the time) but it's not as detailed & this is going off topic. I also imagine Sonic has a room somewhere that he keeps some cherished mementos of past friends/adventures so he can keep the items safe which is why he doesn't wear Chip's collar as a bracelet after Sonic Unleashed. I don't have a design for the room so this looks a little lazy, I just wanted to show some of the items like the replica sword, Chip's collar/necklace & the seashell bracelet Amy made him in Sonic X.(I have the bracelet hanging but he likely put it in a more safe area later)

I'm also not sure if I mentioned this but I imagine Sonic and the Black Knight took place in the past with their history being changed over time & some things lost to time so people don't realize the Round Table was a group of mobians. I also imagine one of Sonic's adopted parents'(Sonic Underground) possessions that survived is a large painting of Lancelot with Coraline(my OC/alternate universe Sonic who is Lancelot's wife & Galahad's mom) in armor which was Sonic's favorite painting as a kid. He's likely taking it back to his memory room when he finds out about the location of his adopted parents' burnt down house were the cellar/bomb shelter is.

Stellar the Hedgehog Analysis

Just got home from watching the third Sonic movie, and since it focuses so much on Sonic and Shadow's relationship, I thought it'd be the best time to do something I've wanted to do for a while - drop an incredibly long post about my thoughts on @emthimofnight's Sonadow fankid, Stellar the Hedgehog.

A lot of the time, Sonic OCs have been passed off as "cringe", due to the unfortunately well-known ones, but the actual community is full of some of the most dedicated lore-makers and designers I've ever seen, and I'm not even someone who knows Sonic that well! I've done a fair bit of research on the series, but I've never played the main games for myself. I just stumbled onto Stellar while I was mindlessly scrolling, and as I checked out all the posts regarding her, I realised I'd found one of the most intricate, passionate fan creations I'd ever seen, and she's been living rent-free in my head ever since.

Now, for the meat of this post: My analytical thoughts on her. Let's break it down into categories:

Design and Personality:

I'm no expert on character design, I've barely even tried to do it myself (outside of my over-designed Miitopia OCs), but Stellar is absolutely striking. Her fur colour is a clever blend of Sonic's blue and Shadow's black, a dark blue resembling space, with a splash of red thrown in to add to the Shadow of it all. She has stripes as well, but as opposed to Shadow's slashing shapes, hers are more bendy, twisting into the form of a star. Inhibitor rings are strapped to her sneakers, a very poetic combination of her dads' getups, but she's also got her knee and elbow guards, a little touch of her own that links in with her fighting style, and also represents the constant protection around her which I'll get to later.

She's extremely star-coded, from the name to the space colour to the fur markings, and I think that was the perfect direction to go. Stars feel ethereal, but entirely grounded at the same time, a cosmic entity we can look towards at any point. Stellar is much the same, she contains an absolutely incredible power, taking after two previous incredible powers, but her personality is so warm and cheerful, and her very existence is what brings Sonic and Shadow together.

And that's the other point I want to make in this category. Stellar actually has three older siblings who died before they were born (I'll get to that), and they're essentially a sliding scale of Shadow's genes to Sonic's genes. Void is almost entirely Shadow, Andromeda has a bit more Sonic, Polarity is more Sonic than Shadow, and Stellar herself is the only true balance. That's a good word to describe what she represents, balance. Sonic's kindness combined with Shadow's anger, Sonic's showboating combined with Shadow's self-confidence, with her own bubbliness and grace added on top. Everything about her design, just like her role in the "SonDADow AU", simply clicks together.

Background Lore:

As someone unfamiliar with the history of the Sonic fandom, I'm not sure how common the "Sonadow fankid made in a lab" trope is. I know Stellar was not the first, and it'd be unreasonable to assume she was - but I'm willing to bet that Emthim has the very best exploration of the concept.

The failed siblings, for a start. That's a dark turn to take off the bat, the idea that Project: STELLAR has been attempted so many times, and still hasn't been shut down because these people are so desperate to put more insane power out into the world, but it really does set the tone for what's going on here. Stellar, just like Shadow, isn't being viewed as a genuine lifeform despite her title, she and all her siblings were a piece in the puzzle for a bunch of self-absorbed scientists trying to recreate a project that was inhumane from the start. Shadow is frequently pictured as struggling to cope with the knowledge of this project, and of the failed siblings, as it'd very obviously strike a lot of nerves. Sonic reminds him to move forward, though. Just like he always has.

That's another incredible aspect of all of this - Sonic and Shadow being forced to parent together despite being not-very-close-friends before this point. The little interactions displaying their bickering about how much influence each of them have had on their daughter, and constantly fumbling on taking care of her because all three of them have overpowering abilities that completely change how they go about their lives, give so much life to the relationship depicted between them all. Stellar is never outright told about her origin, because Sonic and Shadow want to keep her out of that life, and that level of protection being shown both warms the heart, and fills it with a sense of dread for when she'll find out, because it's (realistically) not a perfect strategy. This all adds so much to the idea that they were haphazardly thrown together by the circumstances of Stellar's very existence, and the duo of hedgehogs are just trying to make do.

Stellar as a sort of "dark star", in her ultimate form or Villain AU, is a concept that really ties it all together. She originated from an evil cause, something that only exists to cause unparalleled destruction, and yet her good will and sense of justice shines through no matter what. You can tie aspects of the same theme to both of her parents, but it's wholly concentrated in her story.

Powers and Abilities:

She's a figure-skater. That's pretty much the whole reason this category exists, I really want to break that down for a second.

The duality of ice skating is one-to-one with the duality of Stellar, in my eyes. It's a graceful, beautiful, typically feminine activity, but it's incredibly easy to cause damage with those blades, and strike the sickest poses on your foes. Stellar has a clearly-defined soft side to her, she's very sweet to the people she cares about, and has that all-encompassing energy only a child of Sonic could possess, but just as much as that, she will rip and tear through someone at a moment's notice if they piss her off, she's got that impulsiveness to her, and we all know she's got the power to back it up. She can be either of these things at any moment, the artistic blade always has an edge to it, and the contrast is no contradiction - She simply is all of her.

On top of that, I want to talk more about the dark/collapsing star form. The idea that she possesses such capacity for destruction, which could take her over from the inside out, that would leave her loved ones desperately reaching out to find that shining star - it has not left my mind since I first saw it. It's one of the most compelling narrative devices anywhere in this AU, there's so much potential in a character like Stellar, making an impact wherever she moves, becoming shrouded in the colossal darkness that still plagues her life no matter what she does. As for the specific piece that drew me into this form so much? I'll link it in the final category.

Camellar:

The first image in the set is the one I was just referencing, but I'd be retreading ground by talking about it, so I'll focus more on their relationship in general.

I love how it's so "mutual pining childhood friends"-coded, while also straying a decent bit away from the common tropes. Only Camellia has the feelings bouncing around her head like a DVD logo every moment of her life, because Stellar doesn't actually comprehend it at all, despite feeling much the same. True to her nature, she's so focused on building positive relationships with people that she doesn't recognise some of the intricacies of what the relationship is truly like, or what she truly feels herself. She's at her softest around Camellia, due to their long-lasting affection, but she's also at her fiercest when she gets protective. Camellia brings out every aspect of her personality in a way no-one else does... and certainly not a dishonest rival.

Rocket is my absolute favourite addition to the Camellar dynamic because he throws such a gigantic wrench in everything. His relationship with Stellar has none of the safety that Camellia's does, he's all about the thrill of it, feeding into the inexplicable attraction without thought of whether it'll hurt in the end or not. Initially, this is all one-sided on Stellar's side, eventually becoming one-sided on Rocket's, and either way, it brings about a vindictiveness in Camellia she usually isn't prone to, because just as much as Stellar is looking out for her, she's looking out for Stellar - in a variety of ways. She wants what's best for her, but she's also throughly convinced that it won't be anyone other than herself, and she's also right, especially since Rocket's such a prick at the end of the day.

The truth is, the reason Sonic and Shadow work is that they can keep up with each other. Both of their life stories are about becoming as free of a spirit as they can be, tossing aside everything thrown in their path to become confident in themselves and what they stand for. Stellar and Camellia are much the same. From an aesthetics and basic dynamic standpoint, there's more comparisons to draw between them and Sonamy, but in that case, it's entire game's worth of miscommunication and problem avoidance. In the case of Camellar, they're significantly more head-on with everything, they're both incredibly blunt about their affection, it's just that the romance aspect is lost in translation on Stellar's side. Not like that's the part that really matters, it's the mere unbreakable bond. The one that gets a princess desperately reaching out through a collapsing star for its heart. The one that gets a shining star to settle down for a moment.

Closing Thoughts:

This post definitely didn't cover everything. So much about Stellar is whirring around my brain at any given moment, I have no idea how I'd manage to jot it all down in a comprehensible and complete format, but this is what I've got. A post that hopefully shows just how deep my appreciation for Emthim's work goes, and how talented of a creator I believe her to be. Thank you for reading.

I love the hedgehog hobbit I made and I imagine my sonadow family living there altogether. I want to describe a typical day in the family if they were all normal and alive.

Everyone can cook breakfast except Sonic and Helios. They are two peas in a pod when it comes to consuming food and not knowing many recipes. Instead, Shadow and Artemis do the cooking while Ventus tries to help while making a bit of a mess.

"Either help or get out!" Shadow shouts at his youngest while it levitates a knife around the kitchen from its stool. Arty rolls her eyes while she goes back to shredding the chicken.

"Papa, you're such a killjoy. It would be so much easier if you let me do it." Venny smirks and has the whole chicken fall apart in Arty's hands. She glares at his antics and goes to set the table.

"We agreed that you should only do that while we're sparring. Hurry up and prepare the tacos."

On their free times, each go off on their own. Sonic goes to wherever his heart takes him before dinnertime while Shadow reads some novels with a cup of coffee. Helios takes up a sport of whatever he is feeling, Arty paints at the chao gardens, and Venny goes to town to see some old friends.

Ventus grins as they twirl a few rings. It decided to visit its favorite casinos to win some games. Roulette, cards, and crane machines are just so easy. A little chaos energy doesn't hurt the chances too. They let the casino keep their funds though since it is not heroic to keep stealing from those places.

Instead, Venny stole some rings off the jerks who tried to hit it. Sure, it was cheating but it is not like it kept the winnings. No need to throw a fist. A kunai levitation here and there shut them up real quick to take a few rings. Hopefully none of his dad's friends hear about it.

Whenever Sonic and Shadow need alone time from the kids, they go outside and stargaze. The kids make fun of them for being so old and cheesy, but sometimes they like to stargaze too.

Sonic Adventure 2: Sonadow

Chapter 28: Welcome Home, Sonic.

3 months later, the nurse removed the bandage from Sonic's abdomen and sighed with satisfaction. The wound was healing quickly and looked healthy enough. She then wiped the stickiness from Sonic's fur.

"All right, your skin is clean of infection. You have a good chance to recover," said Nurse Daisy.

"So I'll be okay?" asked Sonic.

"Yes, you'll be fine. Don't worry about it too much," she smiled reassuringly, "the doctor says you're doing really well."

"Thank you," replied Sonic with a huge smile. He couldn't wait for the day when they could finally take him home. It had been 3 months since he was hospitalized after the battle with Eggman. That time he almost died. But now he felt much better. Not only did his wounds heal faster but he also felt better than before! He didn't remember much of what happened after waking up in that strange place, though some memories were left over.

"The doctor will be here for a moment and check how you're doing," announced the nurse as she exited the room. A minute later the door opened again, and Dr. Harrison came to the room carrying a clipboard.

"Hello, Sonic," said Dr. Harrison with a friendly smile.

"Hi, Dr. Harrison," greeted Sonic as he stood up from the bed. "It seems like my wounds are all healed!"

He flexed his arms to demonstrate. Dr. Harrison chuckled and nodded. "I'm glad you are feeling well. Now let's see if we can find out why your body has decided to give you these wounds..." She began scanning Sonic's body with his stethoscope. She took note of every injury. "Well, there doesn't seem to be any obvious cause for this. Your internal organs are fine, so there aren't any problems there, either..."Dr. Harrison moved around and continued her exam.

After completing her examination, she stepped back. "Your health looks great, Sonic. You're free to go," she smiled.

"Great, thanks Doc!" exclaimed Sonic excitedly.

"And I don't want you to rush back into action. Just make sure to rest, eat, and drink a lot," she said as she wrote down a note. "And here's the prescription for some painkillers. They're mild enough that you should feel no pain once you take them." She handed Sonic a note. Sonic thanked her again. As soon as she left, Sonic went to the first floor straight down to the pharmacy and got his prescription.

As he exited the hospital, Rouge was out there waiting for him. She was standing behind her

white Lamborghini while she was surfing her phone. She looked up and grinned at Sonic. "Hey there, blue boy!" she exclaimed cheerfully.

"Hiya, Rouge," said Sonic as he approached her car. After opening the passenger door and getting inside, he sat down next to her. Rogue started driving and departed from the hospital.

"So how are you doing?" asked Sonic.

"Oh, I'm great. How about you?" asked Rouge. Sonic shrugged, "It was boring. I'd been in the hospital for 3 months," he said. "I did some physical therapy during those three months until my belly recovered. It wasn't so bad at first, but it kinda wore me out, even though there weren't any injuries on my body."

"So you're all better?" asked Rouge.

"Yeah, I can't wait to see my friends again!" exclaimed Sonic happily. "I miss 'em, Rouge. I can hardly wait to get home."

Rouge smiled softly. "I know you miss them. Let's go to your house," she suggested as she drove in the direction of Sonic's house. A few minutes later they arrived at the address. Rouge parked her car and they hopped off of it. As Sonic walked to his door, he unlocked the door and opened it, revealing a very crowded living room. They set up "Welcome Home" decorations along with streamers and balloons.

"SURPRISE!!" shouted several people at the same time. Sonic jumped in surprise. The group had surrounded him, congratulating him. "Mr. Sonic! We missed you!" cried Cream. He returned their hugs. Amy and Tails hugged him as well.

"We knew you'd come back! Mr. Sonic, we made cookies! We hope you like chocolate chip!" said Cream.

"Aw, you made those for me? Thank you, Cream!" he said, smiling brightly at the little girl. She smiled back.

Just then the green crocodile named Vector approached him with a big grin. "Hey, Sonic! I heard you've been in the hospital for 3 months and I thought it would be nice to celebrate by having fun together!" He pulled Sonic into a bear hug. Everyone cheered as Vector hugged Sonic tightly. Sonic laughed and returned the hug."Glad you're doing alright, Sonic!" he exclaimed.

"Thanks, man," said Sonic with a big smile. "I'm happy to be home again, just glad to see you guys again," he added. They released each other. Vector put his arm over Sonic's shoulders and the others followed his lead."Let's go to the kitchen, guys. We've got lots of snacks ready!" said Amy.

They had cake, pizza, chips, cookies, juices, and soda. As everyone ate, they talked. There were many things to talk about. They turned on the music to listen to Christina Aguilera singing the song "Genie in a Bottle" as they were dancing to the beat of the music.

Sonic walked to the hallway to see Knuckles leaning against the wall and watching the party. When he noticed Sonic walking toward him, he smiled. "Hey there, blue guy!" he exclaimed happily.

"Hey, Knux!" said Sonic as he greeted Knuckles. Knuckles walked toward him and hugged him. "How's everything going?" he asked. Knuckles shrugged. "Everything's fine. It's great to have you back, Sonic. I missed having you around," he answered. Sonic laughed. "You say that like I was never gone in the first place." Knuckles chuckled and shook his head. "Don't remind me. That was hard to live without you, blue pal."Knuckles nudged shoulder affectionately.

"You know, I'm glad Eggman's in prison. He won't hurt anyone ever again," commented Knuckles.

"Yeah, I guess he'll never touch another piece of property ever again," agreed Sonic. He glanced back to look at the kitchen where the party was happening, "Say, Knux, where's Shadow?" asked Sonic.

"He went outside on the patio," Knuckles pointed with his thumb in the direction. "He didn't feel like dancing or joining them. Maybe he wants to be alone." Knuckles' voice sounded concerned.

"Well, I'll go talk to him and see if he's okay," Sonic said, as he headed out the door. He walked through the garden until he saw Shadow sitting on one of the benches. "Shadow?" he called out softly. Shadow looked up at him and frowned. "Hey, Sonic," he said monotonously. Sonic took a seat beside him.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked.

Shadow shrugged, "Nothing. I just... wanted some fresh air," he replied calmly, trying not to show any emotion.

"You okay?" asked Sonic.

"Of course, I am," said Shadow.

"You seem awfully quiet. I mean besides your usual cold attitude," said Sonic with concern.

Shadow shook his head, "It's not that. It's just... I'm not the type of person to enjoy parties and such. Parties are loud, and people tend to talk too much. I prefer to stay quiet and watch from afar," explained Shadow quietly, still looking ahead and away from Sonic.

'Man, he's pretty anti-social,' thought Sonic.

"Well, it wouldn't be very polite to stay out here all night anyway. If you don't feel like mingling with the partygoers, then why don't you join us inside instead? It looks like everybody else is enjoying themselves, so you can do the same," suggested Sonic.

Shadow shrugged again, "I suppose so."

They paused for a moment, both lost in thought. Shadow seemed slightly more relaxed, and Sonic was staring at the ground, kicking his legs slightly back and forth. Then Shadow broke the silence.

"Do you mind if I ask you something?" he asked.

"Sure, what is it?" asked Sonic as he turned his attention to Shadow.

"Why are you being so kind to me? After everything I've done, I would have expected you to hate me and throw me in jail. But you haven't done anything of the sort," Shadow stated curiously.

"Maybe because I respect you. You may have tried to kill me before, but now you've changed. You've gotten rid of the villain persona you've always had. I think you're an amazing person, Shadow," said Sonic.

Shadow nodded, "Thank you. I appreciate your honesty." They fell silent after that. Neither spoke as Sonic kicked his feet back and forth a few more times. Soon Sonic broke the silence.

"Shadow?" he questioned.

"Hm?" responded Shadow.

"Um, you know I can't keep this a secret forever, right? And I need to know how you feel about me," stated Sonic.

"How do you feel about me?" asked Shadow. Sonic smiled. "I love having you around. It's nice being able to have someone who understands me," he said. Shadow raised an eyebrow at this, "Understands you? Like, what do you mean by that?" asked Shadow.

"Well, you're the only one I know who knows about my powers and all that stuff. I just feel comfortable when you're around me," said Sonic.

Shadow smirked and gave a small chuckle, "That is true. But then, you must have known that I'm an Ultimate Lifeform, too."

Sonic sighed, "Yes. But there's something different about you. Like, you're not just a criminal; you're a hero. A real hero. You saved me from Neo Metal Sonic, and you saved my friends. And you know what, you're a good person," said Sonic earnestly.

Shadow blushed slightly under Sonic's words. He hadn't expected such compliments from Sonic. "Thank you, Sonic. I appreciate your honesty," replied Shadow, still blushing.

Sonic giggled lightly at hearing the response and smiled widely, showing his canine teeth, and making Shadow blush even more.

"Sonic?" asked Shadow.

"Yeah, Shadz?" he responded.

He leaned forward and kissed Sonic's lips briefly. Sonic closed his eyes and held Shadow close to him. Their kiss started getting deeper and they soon became closer than ever. Shadow caressed his cheeks with his thumbs. Sonic grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss. Eventually, they stopped kissing and gazed lovingly into each other's eyes. Sonic smiled and rested his forehead against Shadow's. He looked at Shadow, still holding him by the sides of his neck. The two boys embraced each other once again. Suddenly, the two-tailed fox came outside of the patio.

"Hey, Sonic, we're leaving the party soon. So, maybe we should go in and finish celebrating," he told Sonic. Sonic nodded and reluctantly let Shadow go. Sonic stood up and brushed himself off, grinning. "Come on, let's go inside," he said. He offered Shadow his hand helped him get back to his feet and went inside.

After the party, they started cleaning up his house and they started to leave. They waved goodbye to each other. "Bye, Sonic. See you soon," said Amy and she went outside the house with the others. Sonic waved as well.

Shadow was about to leave, but he had to tell Sonic something. "Oh, um, before I go, I have this brochure in my mailbox," he handed this brochure to Sonic, he opened it, and read the contents.

"Shangri-La Hotel?" Sonic repeated, "Isn't that a resort hotel or something?"

"It is," affirmed Shadow, "but I think it would be fun to stay at a place like that. What do you think?"

Shadow asked Sonic with a little smile.

Sonic looked into Shadow's eyes and smiled back, "Yeah, that sounds great!"

"Great, I'll hit up the front desk and arrange transportation," said Shadow excitedly.

"Thanks, Shadz. I'll rest up for a couple of days until my pain is gone," said Sonic.

Shadow nodded and kissed Sonic's cheek, "See you later, Sonic."

"Later, Shadz," smiled Sonic. He watched as Shadow left the house, he closed the door and went up to the bathroom. He took a shower, brushed his teeth, and went to bed to sleep it off.

Ahhh I'm so excited to go through this list!!! Also, sorry about the slow response! Last week was my last crazy week at work (in theory) for the next 8 weeks so I am gonna be able to be around more! Honestly, I listen to a lot of angsty music lol especially a lot of angsty folk type music. I actually recognize most of these songs! hahaha we're share a musical braincell I think. I haven't listened to Congratulations in a while, probably 10 years or something. It's funny when you hear music you used to enjoy and sing along too without fully understanding the lyrics, or understanding what the song is about. Ooof Ghost in the Night was a definitely add to my liked songs. That's good stuff, absolutely my cup of tea and very similar to things I listen to. New music yay!! I could see this for Shadow especially, dealing with his PTSD. 🥺 Poor buddy. He needs a hug.

Turning Page is a fantastic song, this is definitely one I've got on my list already. High five for mutually enjoyed music! The Scientist is another one I am very familiar with. This was one of my angsty go to songs as a teen. It's such a haunting song and one of my favorite Coldplay songs ever. 💖 You're right on the music video too. All the feels....

Lord Huron is amazing, and so is this song. Definitely got all the angst factor. 💔 I went to a wedding once where the bride and groom danced to Ends of the Earth and I think it's a good Sonadow match too 💗

Malicious Targeting and Harassment of Others Towards the Sonadow Wiki

These days there has been malicious attempts from several users that come from the Sonic Wiki Zone Fandom Wiki that has been targeting the Sonadow Wiki in order to get it taken down unfairly. They even lie and manipulate things to the Staff of Fandom Wiki to get content taken down and threaten us to have the whole wiki taken down based off of false charges. (But the Admins or Moderators on Sonic Wiki have already went to those users and told them to stop bothering us, so they tried to help the situation with the users that inhabit their wiki site.)

Our content is mainly about anything Sonadow, which includes the harassment the fans receive from both fans and hired employees within the company as well as all the misinformation/disinformation spread by both fans and employees that are done to put down the Sonadow ship and its fans.

We have decided to move the content talking about this unto our Tumblr blog for the time being. Here you can still read all about it on your own time to understand why certain things happen the way they do, such as favoritism towards certain ships versus others or why characterizations for characters drastically change with little to no reason.

I personally, Philonite, have received many threats and harassment due to managing the wiki along with our other admin. Though when I go to Staff for help after following their rules, I was denied help once while I had to report the same user to them twice in order to get them to have the man stop harassing and threatening me.

There are even times people disguise themselves as Sonadow fans while also trying to maliciously target us to have the whole wiki taken down just because they don't agree with the facts or because they don't like the Sonadow ship.

In this thread, I will show some of the harassment and threats we have received while taking care of the wiki. We even run into individuals who tried to post NSFW on the wiki out of this spite towards the ship. These "fans" even created burner accounts to try to harass and vandalize the wiki as much as possible. Some of these insults even went to saying we needed to be put into "camps" or that we're morbidly obese and losers for recording the truth.

We try Not to engage with them as the rules suggest and try to get Fandom Staff's help, but as explained before, that does not always result in us getting helped. Instead, we are told to conform to what these bullies want or we are threatened instead despite us trying to report the truth with evidence and facts, such as how Sonic America lied about a Sonic Speed Simulator event in order to change the event from being about Metal Sonic [Link to video of Sonic Central advertising this event] to Sonamy by including Summer Sonic (that has the Sonic X bracelet from Amy on him) and Chef Amy into the game instead [link to post that put this event instead of the Metal Sonic event, as seen with the date June 11, 2022] or how SEGA HARDlight purposely make events surrounding Sonamy related content out of biasness, which they admitted to [link to post that says they like Sonamy and links to when an employee admits to liking and retweeting Sonamy art on purpose out of personal interest].

Fandom Staff even took the harasser's side on things and deleted content based off of false claims from the harasser while also coming to us and threatening us to take down the whole wiki unfairly. And she has said this even after seeing all the evidence of the unfair harassment we have gone through. And even then, she doesn't make sure the man can't ever harass me personally ever again, by again only giving him a temporary ban.

ok i have a minute. readmore for rambling.

first off, theming. shadow has always been a little futuristic, in a very dystopian-sci-fi way. he's literally a science experiment performed with corrupted interests behind it. he's the victim of a higher power using science. danger days is about the rebels against a higher power using science to suppress people. Dots connected. next.

second off - shadow isn't rough around the edges! shadow is sharp and streamlined! we're going to leave boom shadow off of this one because that boy IS a fucking mess but i digress. shadow is polished and sharpened and while that's been thrown in the wrong direction before, he's not, like, as a character, "rough". sa2 has an animation of him fixing his quills. his dialogue is pretty often very precise and careful. the music associated w him? polished! and danger days is the most polished, put-together, sharp-edged album off the mcr discography. black parade has almost reached that point but not quite - 'mama' and 'sleep' and 'cancer' come to mind when i think about the less-polished more-raw pieces of black parade and there's not really any corollaries on danger days. it's all high-polish, which is sort of the point. shadow is a sharp blade, black parade has a serrated edge, revenge is a sawblade, and bullets is... well. bullets can be more like blunt force trauma imo. (all said in praise, please understand, i adore every album here lol).

moreover: danger days has a MASSIVE recurring theme of the impact a lost loved one leaves behind, and another of self-sacrifice. it's a lot about loss in the face of a world that just wants to keep taking from you. may i just -

"if the world chooses to become my enemy, i will fight like i always have" -> "it's death or victory", "keep your boots tight, keep your gun close, and die with your mask on if you've got to", "be a burning star if it takes all night"

and this is very sonadow-flavored of me but "if my velocity starts to make you sweat, then just don't let go"...

shadow had just got home and expected the usual sight of sonic sleeping on his floor since the window was open, but what he saw was actually sonic on his floor, awake and looking slightly in pain? "you ok down there?" shadow asked as he approached the blue vampire, "well, no not really" sonic replied in a strained voice "drank the blood of a guy who ate a whole chunk of garlic". shadow looked confused he then asked, "so are you dying?", "no I'm not dying" sonic replied "I'm just sick"." like regular sick or SICK sick?" sonic sighed at shadows question then said, "like I'm in pain and I feel like I might throw up sick".

"well if you do throw up, it better not be on my carpet," he says while poking his foot on sonic foot, sonic chuckled and said "alright. alright" he then wobbly gets up and slowly attempts to go to the guest room. shadow sighed then gently picked sonic up "I can tell you can't walk or fly in your condition blue star, so drastic times call for drastic measures". sonic was surprised at first then chuckled and said "Okie Dokie shadow box".

shadow takes sonic to the guest room, gently places him on the bed, and covers him up."do regular painkillers work on you?" shadow asked as he was prepping a heated blanket, "well yes" sonic replied "but it doesn't fully kill the pain". shadow nodded "that's what I thought, here take these," he says as he hands sonic two painkiller pills, and sonic takes them. shadow then hands sonic a fully warmed heated blanket, "what's this?" sonic asked. shadow sighed and answered "it's a heated blanket it'll help soothe the pain, take it." he shoves the blanket into sonics hands "heh ok ok, sheesh" he puts the heated blanket around his stomach and lays down.

"ya know you can be sweet when ya wanna be." sonic cheekily says "ok, now shut it and sleep" shadow replies, sonic chuckles and says "ok my shadow box, goodnight". shadow softly smiles "goodnight my blue star" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- vampire night terrors-(sonics staying the night at shadows place, alls calm and quiet until night terrors horrorfiy out vampire friend sonic, wonder how shadows gonna deal with this-sonadow-TW:major character "death") ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sonic opens his eyes to see a dark blues void, he looks around confused. he then spots a scene of shadow fighting off a bunch of G.U.N soldiers, he walks up to the scene but can't enter it. it's like a force field is stopping him, so he sticks to cheering from the sidelines. all is fine and dandy and shadow beats up the soldiers with ease, but then he doesn't watch his back. sonic yelled for shadow to look out but shadow didn't hear. it happened in a flash, shadow had been stabbed, intensely stabbed. shadow fell to his knees and sonic could only watch in horror, as shadow finally saw him and gave him a weak smile, and fell to the ground. then suddenly sonic woke up in a jolt.

shadow feels the blankets move and is awoken by sonics gasp of air, he groggily. he asked while rubbing his eye "blue star, why on earth are you up" but before shadow could get another word in sonic hugged him. shadow thinking sonic just wants a midnight snack says "you could have just asked if you wanted-"but was interrupted mid-sentence by the sound of crying, he holds sonic close and lets him cry into his shoulder. "hey, hey it's ok" shadow said in a comforting tone "I'm right here" -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

fun times-(team sonic+shadow have a game day at amys house, wonder what fun chaos insues-no ship) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it's a nice day at amys house, amys making some cookies for a nice little get-together she's having with her friends. a fun sleepover with team sonic. oh and shadow will be there too since sonic invited him personally. tails flys in with some bags of chips "are the cookies ready yet?" he asks as he places the bags of chips on the counter behind amy. "almost tails" amy replied, "just gotta get them on a baking sheet and place em in the oven.". tails lands on a stool next to her and asks "can I help?". amy smiled in reply the says "well sure thing, you can put the chocolate chips on the top". "yay" exclaimed tails in excitement.

once the cookies were done it was now time to wait for the others to get here. tails sits on the couch while amy sits on the swinging chair outside, she suddenly spots knuckles and shadow and waves them over. "why hello boys its so great to see you could make it" amy says with glee, "couldn't miss it for the world" knuckles replies. shadow nods in agreement to knuckle's statement, "well what are you waiting for?" amy asked, "come on in sonic should be back any minute". "well that's just like sonic" shadow chuckles "always late", "oh give him a break"amy replied in a huff "he's the hero of mobius he had a right to be a bit late". shadow sighs then says "whatever let's head inside".

once sonic got there the group had a great time, playing video games, eating some good snacks, and just hanging out. it's now late at night and everyone's asleep, all of a sudden a thump in the night woke knuckles and amy."what was that?" nervously whispers amy to knuckles, "uhh i-i don't know, should we go check it out?" replied knuckles. amy nervously nods and they both get up and look around. after a bit of looking they bump into sonic and shadow which almost gives them a heart attack since they didn't know they were up.

"why are you up? did you guys hear the noise too?" amy asks the boys, and they both nod. after a bit of searching they find that it was just a raccoon from the human world, they chased it through half of mobius but got it back through the portal it snuck through. at that point, the sun was rising. so once everyone got home, they all went to bed -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i posted a twt ramble thread that i have regarding sonadow and narumitsu and how they are, coincidentally enough, literally the sources of my brainrot. i just got into narumitsu earlier january (and i can't fathom how it took me this long) so i can't say with confidence that i'm very well aware on the exact playthrough of all ace attorney games (narumitsu got me on a chokehold and here i was going along with it) so please bear with me if there are any inaccuracies!

with that being said, allow me to copypaste the exact words from my tweets.

i just realized that another similarity narumitsu and sonadow share is the fact that edgeworth/shadow have previously hurt wright/sonic in some way and later on he had grown to respect/care for the latter that i just think. edgeworth could absolutely mirror shadow's words here.

sonic and wright have some savior/hero complex going on like i think that should be acknowledged bc they both have tendencies to be impulsive enough to head into the scene without a clearer plan in mind (in this case however i believe post-disbarred wright is a lot more careful when it comes to planning [7 years of investigating kristoph gavin is, by all means, A LOT of planning] but then again he's still the same man who bluffs his way to the right answer in court) and they're both the type of ppl to always put people first before themselves.

edgeworth and wright have been around each other long enough for edgeworth to not be blind against wright's heroic sacrifices. even though they had a whole conversation in the past about how edgeworth says they're not "heroes" and that "their job is to always seek the truth no matter what."

…ok i went off a tangent BUT what i meant to say is. edgeworth has hurt wright with his own actions. he knows this, just like wright (absolutely) does.

in the context of the sonic idw pic above, eggman lost his memory and became "mr tinker", who no longer seemed to be evil.

(here are some pics that i didn't add in my twt thread just to show you what i mean by eggman's amnesiac self, mr tinker.)

sonic wanted to give mr tinker a chance, especially bc the witnesses around him said that mr tinker had been nothing but helpful to everyone. shadow, however, thinks how ridiculous that is—eggman may've lost his memory, but the memories of those who were hurt under him weren't lost at all.

be it in a context where wright and edgeworth happen to find themselves in a similar dilemma. edgeworth finds wright's idea to give a notorious criminal like de killer a chance—because he happened to lose his memory and was seen being very… not-so-assassin-like—preposterous.

Edgeworth: "Have you forgotten that he made you suffer? That he had held Miss Fey for ransom? That—for the love of god—that he's caused enough trouble for all of us already? How can you even suggest leniency for him after all that?"

Wright: "Heh, you tried to convict Maya in the past too, remember? You said it yourself—you only cared about your perfect win record, that you'd do anything to make sure you sought out that 'Guilty' verdict, letting the innocent stay 'falsely accused'. So—what? You want me to take you out with de Killer? After all, if he can't be forgiven, can you?"

(i wrote this conversation in [almost] the same way that had happened in the first sonic idw scene above, and the same scene that i'll show a pic of right now.)

i added the next two paragraphs after i had been presumably done with my thread, because i was a bit scared to clarify beforehand that i, truth to be told once again, am not completely in too deep in the stories of ace attorney.

to be fair, i think i need to mention that while wright (looks like he) has long forgiven edgeworth for the demon prosecutor front he had inhibited in the earlier years, i doubt that there aren't exactly any lingering feelings (definitely remorse, if that was unclear) that edgeworth would at least have, if not wright.

though i suppose edgeworth had allowed himself to be vulnerable around wright.... it's not out of the question that wright would make sure those burdens would weigh him all the same. plus, they both work hard to fix the law system together so. it's not like wright wouldn't understand him. they've both been with each other in their lowest, guiltiest point of lives after all.

Here's an angsty as hell Sonadow adopts Chris AU zombot saga drabble I wrote in like 8 minutes after just waking up.

Sonic tore his eyes away from the swarm of zombots that were invading the area as his ears picked up a small cry for help in the distance.

He instantly knew who was crying out for help and his hardwired parental instincts kicked in. He wasted no time in running over to a small silvered patch of grass and his heart just immediately sunk.

Chris, his son, his absolute pride and joy, had a small child zombot clinging to his leg and Chris kept trying to either kick them off or pry them off himself, only spreading the virus further on himself. His cries were loud and drawing more attention to the two of them, so Sonic needed to act fast.

Taking a very large gulp, Sonic stomped over and immediately lifted Chris off the ground and plucked the child off him. Sonic gently set the zombot back on the ground and with Chris in hand, zoomed off.

While running, Sonic checked Chris over for any injuries other than the constant spread of silver and internally sighed in relief when he only saw shallow nicks and cuts. Even after all this, everyone managed to keep Chris safe and Sonic couldn't be any more grateful.

Chris's soft cries and hiccups made Sonic unconsciously hold him tighter, even though he knew that prolonged contact with an infected person only sped up the virus.

Sonic tried to stop himself from tearing up but couldn't hold it back anymore. Once he was sure that he was as far away from the horde that was infesting Angel Island, Sonic slowed himself to a slow jog before finally stopping. Sonic used one hand to hold Chris against his chest while he used the other to wipe his face. Once steeling himself, Sonic ever so gently set Chris onto the ground and ruffled his hair.

"Hey Chris...can you look at me? It's okay. The scary people are gone, you're safe right now." Sonic reassured Chris as he squat down to be on eye level with him. Chris's sobs didn't stop as he nodded his head, trying to so desperately to wipe his tears away.

"Hey hey hey....shhh....baby it's okay." Sonic tried to wipe Chris's tears away himself, softly consoling him. He pulled Chris back towards him, gently rubbing his back. "It's alright, sweetie. Papa's here, he's here to make everything better. I promise."

Chris pulls his hands away from his face to wrap them around Sonic to hug him, crying into his shoulder.

A snap of a branch in the distance alerted Sonic and he immediately pressed Chris as close to him as he could, shielding him from view and snarling. His parental instincts were going haywire the moment he saw Chris in trouble and he couldn't see through the haze of seeing everything and everyone as a threat to his child. A silhouette stepped out into view with their hands in the air and Shadow slowly stepped into Sonic's view of sight. Sonic's snarling suddenly stopped and couldn't stop his small laugh in relief at the sight of his fiancée. It was short lived when he noticed the silver spots covering his black and red fur, half of his face was already covered in the virus. Sonic turned his attention back to Chris in his arms. "Buddy..? Chris, look who's here."

Chris ever so slowly let go of Sonic to turn around and neither hedgehog have been so happy to see Chris's smile again. "DADDY!" The boy removed himself from Sonic and immediately started running over to Shadow, who happily knelt down to pick up his son and hold him tight.

"Hello little one...I'm so happy to see you again..." Shadow whispered, a genuine smile on his face and tears in his eyes.

It was an ungodly hour when the hero came down the stairs, finding his partner sitting on the couch bundled in a blanket. It was an almost comical sight, reminding Sonic of a burrito topped with hot sauce, sullied by the fact that the lifeform wore a distressed expression. "Shadow?"

Shadow blinked out of his trance before regarding the hero with heavy eyelids. "Sonic? What are you doing up?"

"I should be asking you that," Sonic said with a yawn as he sat next to the agent, taking note of the dark bags under his eyes.

Shadow's sigh felt like it carried the weight of the world. "I kept tossing and turning and didn't want to disturb you."

"It's alright," Sonic reassured him. "Do you wanna talk about it?"

"We might be here a while."

Sonic took the chance to make himself comfortable by resting his head upon his partner's lap, signaling that he had all night.

Shadow smirked at that, absently stroking his azure quills. "Well, for starters, we had a client come in going absolutely berserk over not being able to find her phone. We must have interviewed her for hours until she finally found it—"

"Wait, wait, lemme guess... In her bag?"

"In her bag!" Shadow confirmed. "Then there was this old geezer complaining about his heated pool not working, which, by the way, who owns a damn heated pool nowadays?"

"In this economy?"

"Right?" Then Shadow groaned. "And don't get me started on the guy who needed help repairing his service robot. He claimed it ran on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Intel Core i5-10400F 16.0 GB RAM, but it was obviously running on an Intel Core i9-12900F."

"Obviously." (Sonic had no idea what he was talking about.)

"On top of all that, I never even get a thank you." Shadow took a moment to massage his temples.

Sonic swallowed, hoping his upcoming request wasn't going to sound too selfish. "Y'know, Shads, you've been working overtime almost every other day. Maybe you should take some time off."

Shadow mulled. "I suppose I could say that my partner hogged the bathroom all morning."

Sonic reddened. "Shads..."

"It's entirely plausible, too, what with all the chili dogs—"

"Shads!"

Shadow chuckled, a musical noise. "Apologies. You know I love you."

"I know."

"It's just... That place would fall apart without me."

"It would."

"And sometimes I feel like..."

Shadow gave a solemn smile. "I vent too often, don't I?"

"Not at all," Sonic replied, reaching up to stroke the lifeform's muzzle with the back of his hand. "Besides, I like listening to you."

Shadow's features softened as he welcomed the touch. "Thank you." This time his sigh was one of relief. He leaned back, resting his eyes. "It feels good to get that off my chest."

It didn't take long for the agent to begin softly snoring. It was the perfect white noise for the hero, and he soon followed suit.

okay so, i’m closing in on finishing my current sonadow fanfic!! here it is in case anyone’s interested, i tag as thoroughly as i can so hopefully that’ll be enough for y’all to come to your own conclusions about going through with reading!

this post isn’t about the chapter that got linked above, that will be the first chapter, it’s about the most recent one i posted in which a baby shower occurs!! i rly wanted to elaborate on the gifts and that’ll all be below the readmore!

so for starters: i did NOT think the Babylon Rogues would appear at this point, i was more planning for the final chapter but i needed just a little more to happen in this one and here we are lmao. for those who may not be familiar this is what Wave gave to Sonic

i had nothing i was really going off of for the stroller Tails created other than him engineering the wazoo out of it, but shout out to Napstashook for bringing up the idea of a mobile in a comment! while it may not have been created by Eggman since i’ve had what he actually gifts planned since the beginning, your comment absolutely inspired me to have Tails gifting it bcs the idea of it was so cute!

a headcanon i have for Knuckles is that he has a couple different hobbies to pass the time while guarding the ME, and wood whittling is one that i see him doing a lot! also my family gifted blocks in this style to my cousin’s kid and they’re super fun, i figured Knuckles would do something a little more geometric rather than basic shapes!

i tried to imply it as best as i could, but Amy just literally bought any and everything that was cute to her. dino shirt? bought. frilly dress? in the basket. socks that come in a rainbow spectrum of colors? that shit is going to her adorable lil niece or nephew so they can be dressed in everything possible and have all sorts of fun baby photos to look back on later when they’re older. bonus: if their assigned gender at birth changes, they can pick the baby photos that they feel best about! that was the thought process i was going for with her

i was a little unsure for a while what the Chaotix would give, but then thought of how adorable it would be for Charmy to want to give the drumset he has in Heroes! (he absolutely has a more elaborate drum set at this point that is way louder lmao) Vector and Espio having practically raised the lil guy i figure they would value the memories they’ve created with him and would encourage Sonic and Shadow to do the same with their child

I was a lil stumped with Rouge, before applying the same sort of hobby headcanon for her except she absolutely has a collection of crocheted fashion that she rocks whenever she can, all of that cool bikini shit!!! also absolutely has her own custom blanket if she feels like hanging upside down to sleep. Shadow knew of the hobby and maybe even secretly hoped that she would make a baby blanket, but didn’t pressure Rouge. also my own dad has done the same multiple times for friends and family over the years having babies, idk how often other writers do it but i love just. taking tiny things like this from my own life and inserting it where i can. idk it just makes me feel warm and happy :) also a pic for reference for the blanket!

back at it again with the irl influences: i didn’t specifically want to name it but the book series Vanilla gives are absolutely these guys or some Sonic-World equivalent

this series and author is the S H I T. so fucking good. it’s my mom’s favorite and she gifted all the ones she had to the same kid who got the blocks! and i loved the idea of Cream wanting to create a plush, kind of like something her mom had made for her when she was a baby, to give to the new youngest member of this mashed together found family. also i feel like every Sonic fan at some point looked up making a custom plush version of their Chao on their SA1 or SA2 Chao garden saves

from the beginning i knew Omega’s gift would be something to the point like diapers, but only recently came up with them also vowing they would be the one to upkeep the diaper supply. this absolutely means that once or twice they receive a frantic message from Shadow in the middle of the night asking for more bcs both he and Sonic completely forgot to grab some bcs they are Just Tired. Omega dutifully follows through and accidentally intimidates the poor employee who’s running the 24/7 store alone that the robot had to go to for the specific brand of diapers that the organics insist on using

Blaze was easy to figure out from the start what she would gift, Silver was a little more tricky until i went with the mindset of what he would’ve wanted in his childhood. it definitely wouldn’t have been a magic cure all, but even regular white noise i’m sure would be preferable to the sound of exploding lava or whatever the fuck was happening in Crisis City. for those not entirely sure what kind of sling Blaze gifts it’s this sort of thing

with Eggman’s gift it was pretty set from the beginning, the Project Shadow files and some sort of toy which eventually i landed on the choice of a rattle! i just love the idea of him finding irony in giving the offspring of his worst enemy a toy with his own face on it that will inevitably be smacked against any and every surface or face possible, and idk if there is any actual rattles with a silencing option, but i thought that would be a neat engineering thing. also the panicked reaction of everyone hearing an audible click from something that Eggman created was too funny, and Sonic just casually okay with giving the toy to his child. super excited to explore more of the relationship between this mad genius and blue hedgehog kajfjf

so, i went searching for frames that honor babies lost via miscarriage, it was hard personally looking at them. not that i’ve had a miscarriage, but any loss of life is horrible. a lot of them were very religious-focused or morbid for my own taste, that’s great it’s helped so many others! i’m trying not to discount that, but so many of them just felt too much like a gravestone or didn’t match with how i’ve characterized Sonic and Shadow in this fic. i feel that neither would be all for something that felt so grief-ridden or weighed down by sadness, and would want something that helps to celebrate and remember Dusk and Dawn in a less flowery-poetry or religious sort of way. writing this whole part with the frame and how it resonated with Sonic is one of the few times my own writing made me tear up, most likely because of how it lines up with my own beliefs, and instead of thinking about how terrifying the nature of death is, to try viewing it in a more positive way
