Just wanted to say I burst out laughing when I found your account, ~ save a horse ride a knight ~ sent me, and thank u for making my day 😂
Ahahaha, I'm glad you noticed! I changed the heading a while ago because I realised ... knights are sort of the cowboys of the Middle Ages, aren't they? 😁
Evidence:
- their spurs and chainmail jingle jangle
- they have a charming glint in their eye
- they (ideally) follow a code of honour
- they know how to treat a lady (of any gender)
- their best friend is their horse

Anyways - welcome to my little asylum! 🐎

Dogs and cats are exactly the same with one difference.
Dogs need us. Cats just tolerate us.

"Antisemitism, anti-Black racism, misogyny, transphobia - all of these oppressions' purpose is to divide us from each other and prevent us from building power. And the way we fight back against that is by telling stories to each other about who we are."

Dear Diary,
People say the same things but it’s actions that leave a mark.

Honestly the whole fanon Katara and fanon Zuko must be a very common trope because when I still read hp fanfic O remembered dramione fanfics which seemed to have the exact same voice as zutara fanfics despite being different characters. Perhaps it’s the real reason ACOTAR is popular online. It wouldn’t be without shipping fandom as a general entity: which prefers not actual characters but shuffling amalgamations of boring and contradictory tropes pretending to be characters.
Oh yeah, the bad boy/good girl trope is a TALE AS OLD AS TIME. Honestly I think it's the same people jumping from fandom to fandom, slapping their tired characterizations on whoever best fits their dynamic. Zutara, Dramione, Reylo, and Feysand are literally all the same in fandom. And ACOTAR actually goes a step further by canonizing those shitty dynamics.

my dad didn't like socializing but at every family event he was there with his camera taking pictures of everyone, both candid and staged. growing up I grew to hate it (why was he always there when I looked the worst) but when he passed I looked through every single photo he took and I watched everyone on both sides of our family grow old and grow up.
he also went through and digitized every single photo his dad and my mom's dad took, despite complaining constantly about what bad photographers they were. he never got around to distributing them all because he had meant to organize them by date. that work will never be done but we wouldn't have the photos at all without him. everything decays with time and the slides and original prints were already fragile.
I learned at his funeral how rarely everyone noticed him on the edge taking photos. he was my dad so I did. I always, always did. eventually I got over myself and didn't mind so much. when I look at them now I hear "I love you, I love you, I love you" much louder than words, and I will always hear it, even now when I can't speak to him anymore at all.
You know that Ada Limón poem where she’s like “i can’t help it i love the way men love”? my dad recently confessed to me that he became a shoemaker because they buried my grandma shoeless

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.
Wherever you are, Lyra my little summer star, I love you always! Thank you for being the best thing in my life.

Vulcan teen on Vulcan [tiktok] saying "I have just lost track of my father in the grocery store." The camera turns to show the viewers the grocery store in which almost every single older middle-aged man has a bowlcut and long robes. Camera turns back to show the teen's face which is expressionless and yet communicates all it needs to.

Here’s my take on the whole audio books vs. reading:
Oral tradition of storytelling predates written ones by millennias, and honestly, which one you like is just a personal preference.
The actual difference is
when listening, you have no idea how to write characters’ names
when reading, you have no idea how to pronounce characters’ names
hope this helps!
