The rain had finally stopped, and the long-awaited sun peeked out from its hiding place among the grey clouds. Wherever it shined, the shadow retreated, slithering back to the far corners and leaving Izuku with a better view of the streets.

When emerald eyes first landed upon the familiar figure, they widened in shock. He blinked twice, hard, just to check if it was but a trick of his mind.

For the first time in days, fate proved to be kind.

Aided by black whip, Izuku swung right into the person, allowing his body to slam against the other hard enough to take them both to the ground.

The first thing he did was to give the other a frantic once over, eyes rapidly checking for bruises, wounds, and other injuries. Fury only bubbled to the surface when no obvious concerns were found, and he grabbed his former classmate by the collar.

"Where were you?" He demanded, grip tightening. "Why haven't you called? We were so worried, you have no idea-" Breathe. "We thought you got kidnapped. People were searching everywhere for you. Your family was waiting for some sort of ransom demand and when none came, they...we..." All thought you were dead. Getting tortured somewhere. Turned into a nomu.

Nobody ever said it, but the possibilities kept many up at night. "I am calling your dad." Izuku clenched his jaw and forced himself to remain calm, scrambling in his pocket for his phone.

and then izumi event got announced and after grinding for the past few days i am proud to say im at 1.09k (gonna be 1.1k at reset) with 100 dia on the way from a log in bonus! (i think its in 4 days? i just know its gonna be during the event)

if i need to ill grind out some more dia but i think i should be fine

I thought it would be fun to write a second part about the reasons that led to the breakup with each of her exes. (I really laughed while writing this, I hope it amuses you too.🤣)

𝗗𝗘𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗔: too immature. She'd had enough of his little tantrums over his 'art' but she had to admit that hearing him talk about ‘dropping bombs’ on federal buildings might also have played a big part in her decision to break up. lmfao.

𝗜𝗭𝗨𝗡𝗔: Aaah Izuzu….. A charming man, isn't he? He's got the face of an angel, he's mature, stable and earns a good living. He's a pretty handy guy and God, let me tell you, it's not just wood his hands know how to handle. 👀 So what went wrong? Oh simple. Three months into the relationship he asked Sakura to marry him! She panicked and broke it off. At this point in a relationship normally you confess your ugly secret middle names and fantasies, but not wedding rings. I mean, come on! She can go to Burger King with him, but to the altar??? Nope! Next.

𝗡𝗘𝗝𝗜: Emotionally unavailable. She's pretty sure the hyuuga loved her but not enough to let her in completely. He's a man damaged by life and no matter how hard she's tried to make things work, she can't settle for less when she thinks she deserves so much more. She likes him, they've remained on good terms, but Neji needs therapy, not a petite-amie.

𝗛𝗔𝗞𝗨: Aww. Very sweet relationship, but pretty bland now that she thinks about it. It's obvious to her today what led to the breakup. Sakura liked Haku, Haku liked Sakura, but he liked his father's business partner even more: Momochi Zabuza. You can't stay where you're not wanted. She wished him all the happiness in the world and would keep fond memories of their time together. No hard feelings.

𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗨: *cough* ahem... how can I put this? She doesn't know why she was infatuated with him back then. Well, actually, she does: his hair was beautiful. Really silky. Hmm Orochi… This man has a very talented tongue, it made her see the stars and maybe even Jesus. He worked in a pharmaceutical lab. She couldn't say he was the cuddliest man on earth, but he had his good days. Of course, Sakura knew he wasn't the man for her, and she wasn't saying that because he'd tried to steal her kidney to sell on the black market. No, not at all. She remembered calling the cops, but Orochimaru had already left town by then. ( but not for much longer. It's likely that someone tipped off the cops to his presence on the set. 🤷🏻‍♀️ She's sure he'll find plenty of guinea pigs in jail).

And finally 𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜: Oh, Tachi. A very handsome man, huh? Intelligent, a little arrogant but very caring... well... especially with HIS BROTHER. Okay, don't get me wrong, at first Sakura thought it was adorable. It's an important value, but when your brother walks into your room without knocking while you're fucking your girlfriend's brains out, the least you can do is kick him out and tell him to fuck off, right? Well… not Itachi. Like he was actually making small talk with Sasuke while his cock was buried deep inside her. I mean???? One can be close to one's family and without much modesty but at this point????? 💀💀 So yeah Itachi is great and for a while she thought she'd make a life with him, BUUUUT.... She signed up to be his fiancé, not his brother's too. So she gave him back his ring and advised him to learn the definition of “having boundaries.” She misses him sometimes, he was an exceptional lover and an even better boyfriend. She's seen heaven more times than she can count. (It's possible Itachi kicked his brother out after the breakup. Because yeah... they were roommates. She assumes that losing your fiancée because your brother interferes with your relationship has that effect on people……..)

Sakura has a thing for men with long hair. She always has. That's why, when she takes part in a show designed to get all her exes in the same room, they realize that they have only one thing in common: their hair length, but hair color, eye color, figure and even character can be completely different from one man to the next.

The men on the set will be: Deidara, Izuna, Neji, Haku, Orochimaru (nah, don't ask. you don't want to know.) and Itachi.

Everyone will stare at Sakura with an arched eyebrow as if to say “really?” To which she'll reply with flushed cheeks that she “doesn't see what the big deal is. They all loved having their hair braided by her.”

One of my favorite Izumi headcanons is that she doesn't fire bend. Not that she was a non bender but she refuses to use her flames. Being taught the history of her family, over time Izumi was terrified to become engaged with power. So she refuses to use it, even if she knows she's as good as Azula.

One day. Lin got badly hurt in front of her to the point she was unrecognizable because of her blood. Izumi did not hesitate to take down the man with her flames that were caused by pure rage. Lin even if she was badly injured watched as the princess burned the man to death. By the end of the day Izumi was sobbing in Lins arms.

Recently came back to the US.  I was immediately unimpressed as soon as I arrived at the airport.  Lots of hustle and bustle, people unhappy about waiting lines, impatience, and rudeness.  It was a bummer but all got better once I arrived in Miami and then Orlando destination.  My friend Bambi picked me up and I was happy to see here and be in a warm climate.  She and I had been friends losing touch along the way but managed to find our way back to one another.  She has always felt like family to me and I love being at her house.  She cooks great, very generous and energenic for 68.  She has been thru the wringer but managed to get herself a Dr. for a husband and in loving kindness that she has takes care of her daughter with Down’s Syndrome and has an adventuress life. She manages to press on despite some stresses in her life.  She is one terrific gal.   I dont know how to spell check so forgive my errors.  lol  I was with her for 10 days and then off in my 2002 Izuzu Rodeo on a road trip to NC.  I am staying with a friend of mine Linda M.  Her dear husband for over 20 years passed away a few months back.  He was and will always be my bestie!  He was 83.  I miss him soooo much!  I am grateful to be staying her with Linda and she is an amazing women!  So glad that Hank found the best partner ever which he had always told me.  He said it was the best relationship he ever had!  They have had a full loving life together!  But he is present here in the house and I share and talk with him often as we usually did daily.  I also got to see my friend Gabrielle, Mary, Christine, Terri, Julie, and Jerry plus other people at the AA fellowship in which I belong.   Since being here I was surprised by how much I missed El Salvador.  Especially my partner and loving friend Hector.  He is soooo good to me.  He is spiritual easy going and generous.  He is friendly, likes to joke around and pick on me.   His mother is so special too.  She likes to laugh and eat, just like Hector.  And they can talk!!  of course Im unsure of the what they talk about because I am not fluent in spanish yet.  But Im working on it.  Anyways our house is pretty much ready and Hector moved into it while Ive been gone.  I planned that right!  lol  He loves it and I must say it turned out beautiful.  We also got a new kitten.  I had prayed to whomever is above unsure of who that might be...for now I call it the Spirit of the Universe to just bring me an animal that was in need.  So we went out walking one day and we heard a meow.  The cat was a gray tabby which I like because tabbys have great dispositions and she came right to me.  I think its a female, too young to tell.  Maybe 2 months old.  But she was hungry and crying.  We took her home fed her and 2 days later she took to the littler box!  She is terrific and I dont want her going off the property.  We are going to try to make her an indoor cat if possible because of the many dogs running free, we dont want her killed or mamed or worse.  We name her Friday because we found her on Good Friday and I love her already!  Thank you God for such a precious gift!  I call my spirit God for lack of a better word, but I do know there is something powerful out there because I feel guided.  I love working on my spirituality and connecting everyday from this source which makes me a better human being all around.  My life has improved beyond words!  I owe it to my relationships with AA, friends, family, nature and this higher power!  ok so thats it for now.  talk later!

Gives nose/forehead kisses:

To be quite honest, I feel like the answer is a tentative: both? Ponsol wouldn’t mind so much kissing Izumi on the forehead or the nose, but somehow I feel like Izumi will fight it sometimes because it’s embarrassing. I feel like Ponsol just does it to show off and tease Izumi-- which is why he’d fight it. Izumi, being the affectionate lil nugget that he is, would be more loving in a private setting so when they’re alone, I feel like Izumi is the one who gives nose/forehead kisses. Really though, they both would do this. 

Gets jealous the most:

Izumi GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF MY MAN Sena. Ponsol, while he’s got an inferiority complex towards his brother, he’s fully competent and confident when it’s against another person. He doesn’t really think that Izumi would ever cheat on him or anything so he’s not worried at all. Is he territorial and protective? Yes. If he thinks someone is bothering Izumi, he’ll step in. From what I know of how Izuzu plays Izumi, he’s pretty insecure and he kinda feigns his confidence? I’m pretty sure seeing people around Ponsol makes him really nervous and he’ll get very jealous. Will that mean Ponsol will occasionally try to make Izumi jealous on purpose? Who knows~?

Takes care of on sick days:

I mean---------- I think a lot of us know the answer to this one. Ponsol was a sickly child and he is still prone to getting sick often. He’s also a MENACE in the kitchen so really he shouldn’t be trusted. Izumi will more often be taking care of Ponsol. I’m sure Izumi takes care of himself well aside from him not eating much. Ponsol would try to take care of him but honestly it would be a ‘GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THE KITCHEN. I’M SICK ALREADY, ARE YOU TRYING TO FINISH THE JOB???????- situation if he tries to make Izumi something. 

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day:

Drags... huh? Sounds like a Ponsol thing to do. Like, ‘WAIT! MY MAKE UP ISN’T WATER PROOF/I HAVEN’T SET MY MAKE UP YET!’ Dragging him kicking and screaming into the water. If Ponsol doesn’t wanna move, there is no way Izumi can drag him into the water unless he’s related to Popeye the sailor man and has a whole can of spinach. Honestly, Ponsol doesn’t mind the water or anything so he wouldn’t mind going in. Izumi-- I feel like he would have a problem with it because, what if he burns? What if a poisonous jelly fish stings him? WHAT ABOUT HIS MAKE UP?

Brings the other lunch at work:

Izumi. If it were up to Ponsol to bring lunch to Izumi... “Did you make it yourself? Are you trying to kill me? Sabotage?” I mean i’m sure he’ll appreciate the sentiment but let’s be real now. Besides, Izumi is pretty waifu material, doncha kno? Bringing his lover a lunch while he’s at work seems like something Izumi has dreamed about doing. 

Tries to start role-playing in bed:

Given that Ponsol is into imagery-- I feel like it would be Izumi. Trying out different things to seduce his lover. He is a model, so dressing up and acting the part probably isn’t too difficult for him. I’m sure Ponsol would really enjoy it so Izumi would try out all sorts of outfits for him. || Hm? Ponsol? LOL What you mean? He roleplays as a confident and haughty heir every day, you want him to roleplay some more? LOL Jokes aside, Ponsol isn’t much of a role-play kinda person to bring that up himself, but if Izumi likes it, he might try it. 

Embarrassingly drunk dancer:

Ponsol is a good boy and he knows his limits and never reaches his limits. Izumi actually might be the embarrassingly drunk dancer? Kinda like ‘Hey Izumi, I want to see one of those dances you did in your younger years as a Knight’. I feel like Izumi might actually dance then. 

Firmly believes in couples costumes:

Izumi. Sure for. He’d definitely believe in anything couple related. I’m sure Ponsol doesn’t really care either way so it’s not hard to convince him to wear something-- unless it looks hideous-- but let’s face it. Izumi wouldn’t be caught dead wearing something ugly. 

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas:

I actually don’t know what this means. Does this mean like they have an implicit understanding not to buy something expensive for Christmas, so who breaks that rule first? Then it would be Ponsol. Excuse me? You are the lover of a man who is worth MILLIONS of dollars. You think that he’ll allow you to settle for something worth pennies? Don’t make him laugh. Let him spoil you like the priceless person you are plz.  

Makes the other eat breakfast:

Izumi. I’m sure by all my answers thus far we’ve realized that Ponsol cannot really cook?

Remembers anniversaries:

Both. Izumi would be very careful about remembering dates. Probably puts hearts and stuff on calendars to remember special dates. Ponsol has a great memory so it’s all in his head but he sets phone alarms to help him remember to get things prepared for anniversaries. 

Brings up having kids first:

Izumi, probs. I’m sure he’d want to have children so that they can be an actual loving family. One who fully supports each other in a loving way. Ponsol? He doesn’t really mind either way. He’s not too fond of children, but he doesn’t hate them either. He’d be happy to see Izumi happy tbh. 

Kills the bugs:

I guess Ponsol would lol. Izumi can deal with the clean up. 

First to define them as a couple:

Mmnnnn... i’m not too sure about this one. I mean I’m sure Izumi immediately starts referring to each other as a couple once it happens. I feel like--- in regards to publically? Maybe Ponsol? I feel like Izumi, while he’d excited to have a lover, I don’t think he’d immediately start going to social media or anything announcing it. He does probably enjoy his privacy and as a model, you gotta be careful? I mean, so does Ponsol, but he is MOTHER FUCKING PONSOL-- you think he cares? Him having a man as his lover doesn’t change the fact that he’s an heir to a multi-billion company. He doesn’t care for what you think about him. Judge him all you want. IT PLEASES HIM. 

Who hides their guilty pleasures longer:

‘Hiding’ makes me think Izumi. Ponsol just doesn’t bring it up, but he wouldn’t hide it if he was asked about it. He’s pretty shameless when it comes to that. Izumi, I feel, tends to be a bit more shy? I feel like he’d hide it for fear that Ponsol would make fun of him-- which he might. 

Snorts while laughing:

A part of me says Izumi because it would be funny-- but I feel like he isn’t the type to snort while he laughs. Ponsol might do an ugly snort if he’s ridiculing someone, maybe. Other than that, I don’t envision him to be the snorting kind. Gentleman do not ‘snort’ while they laugh--- but they probably do when they wanna make someone so mad that they just feel their blood pressure rise in aggravation.

Messiah Akatsuki ‘LIVE’ reaction 1/?

There’s no meaning whatsoever to make a review/impression since Akatsuki’s already an old news by now, but I’m making it anyway.

Why?

BECAUSE I’VE WATCHED THE FREAKING THING FOR ALMOST 29 TIMES.

So you see, I have this super slow internet connection that basically finishes downloading at most 2/3 parts per day (the entire 24 hours). This impatient me decides to join every single part that I can get. It works, and I can watch the stage till the part that I’ve downloaded, but the video becomes corrupt. As a result? I can’t speed forward anything. No jump cuts, no fast forwards, heck only a handful of app can open the incomplete video without crashing.

And therefore I have literally sit through the entire thing for almost 29 times, more than enough info for me to comment on every single thing that happened on the scene. And yes that means I have listened to Mamoru’s sexy panting for almost 29 times.

So below you’ll find me tsukkomiing commenting on every single scene, pointing out tiny things that you might not catch on your first watch, and maybe sometimes not really making sense.

Mamoru’s sexy panting 

Camera takes a long time to warm up. Many odd shots during Mamoru’s fight which ended up highlighting Tomoru’s not top notch action skill.

But Tomoru’s ability to fall onto the floor is top notch

Kagami’s lack of sensitivity is top notch

Ariga immediately removing his gloves once he heard that Mamoru was safe is a very nice touch

Ichijima’s: “There’s no plan to retrieve you.” “Your messiah’s life or death is unknown.” *leaves* ASSHOLE 

You can see a bullet of sweat drop as Mamoru was forced to deal with said asshole

Intro pace is very rapid, then very chill. Feels like you’re suddenly teleported into an accelerating car, but said car suddenly decelerate to a snail speed in the next instant.

Mamoru I get that you’re very unhinged with Yuuri’s disappearance but holy hell those eyes look like they’re going to pop out.

Opening:

Kogure was fighting an enemy before he was thrown to the front in a kneeling position then the 3 seniors took their position standing as if to cover for him at the centre of the stage. Yugi and Miike were at opposite sides of the stage. The position feels symbolic somehow.

Ariga and Mamoru firing at each other’s direction (covering), Kagami in the centre. Hmm…

I see they’ve changed the narrator of the SAKURA rules–THAT’S RYOKI! OHH IT’S THE CADETS NARRATING NOW! (I can only catch Okki & Ryoki’s voice, and maybe Mamoru’s)

Izawa having a recoil so huge from firing a sniper, you can see him bending his knee

Kogure what is wrong with your stance are you incapable of moving your top half separately from your lower half

Holy crap that Yugi kick is so damn awesome!

Now here Mamoru is in the middle and Ariga-Kagami are at the sides

Right after that is blink-and-you-miss-it ArigaMamoru moment lol

Kogure drew his gun slowly, Yugi drew his gun rapidly, Miike just shoot.

Mamoru looks super dead as he picked up his gun and shoot 

I kinda miss the old opening, but this one’s pretty good too. I’m torn.

Intro of Gen3 cadets:

Italy~~–oh wait it’s Miike. His voice is lighter than I expected. Kinda like dark chocolate Italy

Mamoru looking dead tired from all the previous action scenes + dead because of Yuuri

Okki being in super serious mode. Surprisingly it’s very different from what I’ve seen from him so far. Pretty nice.

During the fight, there’s a lot of moments where Yugi and Miike clash. It’s not because they can’t work with each other but rather because they won’t. Yugi immediately shoved Miike aside, preferring to fight alone. Miike passed his gun to Yugi (like 'hold my things for me’) and proceeded to fight alone.

Miike’s doing Echizen Ryoma’s Split Step. 

Okki seems a bit hesitant at times, but when he didn’t hold back, pray that he doesn’t accidentally hit you. It’ll be like the 'pat’ he gave to Isogai Ryuko, with 100x more speed.

There was an opportunity for them to fight together, but Miike realized something and decided to step back (just as Ariga was explaining how Miike knows who Yugi is but not the other way around)

Oh so that’s how Miike ended up being on top of Yugi…Huh they did this 20 times… :D

Compared to the footage from the dress rehearsal, Yugi sounded a lot more concerned with Miike’s lack of courtesy, and Miike sounded like he’s more murmuring to himself rather than chiding Yugi.

Wonder why Yugi wasn’t bothered with Miike calling him 'Kotaro’ when he chided Miike for being too casual with the senior Mamoru.

Absolutely love Kagami’s “Baaaka. Senpai namen'na yo.”

Miike’s insensitivity may rival that of Kagami’s. Amazing how Ariga out of all people is the only sensitive one here.

Mamoru looked so fed up with life. Not even in Shibi had he looked this miserable.

Ariga’s ‘Shuuryou da!’ sounds off. Does Izawa have problems with enunciating ‘r’?

Kogure & Ariga-Kagami:

Kogure being plot device to fill in background information on Mamoru and Yuuri. Poor Kogure.

SAKURA still uses pictures from the Shibi days. 

Kagami looks like a toy poodle waiting impatiently for his master to play with him on the side of the road.

I’m seeing Izawa rather than Ariga. I wonder if it’s because Ariga’s becoming more human.

Kagami looking so impressed at Kogure’s hacking skill like a kid getting his christmas present.

Kogure hesitated before asking about Ichijima, saying that his question is not something he can find in the server. Wonder why the hesitation…

Kagami weren’t you there in Polor Night (note: I still haven’t watched it as of writing this) when the whole thing with Mamiya happened? How could you still ask Ariga that you insensitive brat#1.

Kuroko: “Kamikita sa~n” vs “Ichi”, and yet the distance between him and Ichi is further than with Kamikita sa~n.

Kuroko’s male voice is also beautiful.

I wonder if Kuroko did a mini ad-lib here by changing his 'prince charming’ question every time.

Mamoru Ichijima scene:

Asshole Ichijima still does that lil fist pump whenever he brought up the graduation mission.

Ichijima seems unusually pissed off. “You have no right to refuse!”

I miss ‘Kuroko’ already.

Ichijima: “It is said that night is the darkest before dawn.” This asshole really has a way with words goddangit.

The first mission scene:

MiikeKogure moment#1: Kogure slid on the floor to go and cover Miike.

Kuroko being kinda useless in fighting is a nice touch. He might be one hell of a person before, but he’s trying his best to tame himself, and it’s slowly taking over. It’s very realistic.

Kuroko’s fight has to have the most sound effect (in terms of Kuroko gasping with every single attack)

Also I think Kony is not really made to do action.

The underling guy that got possessed can act pretty well. He’s adorbs.

MiikeKogure moment#2: Kogure went to save Miike who was caught by the enemy.

Kagami being thrown and caught by Mamoru. Kagami being thrown and caught by Izawa. Never knew it’s a three way thing.

Yugi trying to judo flip the enemy and ended up flying. Imagine a pair of ice skater, the one who is being lifted up by the waist. Like that.

Eww Araken guy you’re giving your used lollipop to Salyut–oh ok thank god Salyut didn’t eat it

The only person in this team who will spare a glance at a fallen comrade (Kagami) besides his own messiah is Yugi

The only person who will yell out people’s names in battle other than their own messiah is also Yugi (“Shirasaki-san!” “Ariga-san!”)

KogureMiike moment #3: “Bring the bodies”   *Yugi went to carry one body* Kogure: “Miike-san”   Miike: “Eh?Ehhhh…”

If you want to see the real Australia, you need to get off the beaten track. Having a 4WD is the ultimate way to do this. There’s so much to see and do in this great land, but the best of it is off the bitumen roads!

Building a 4WD up to explore Australia is becoming increasingly popular all over the country. You won’t find any 4WD off the factory floor that is well set up for travelling, camping and exploring Australia, and the ‘build’ refers to various modifications, accessories and changes made to make the vehicle more suitable for touring.

The perfect touring 4WD is one that is self-sufficient, capable and comfortable to take yourself, your partner or your whole family off the beaten track for however long you choose to travel for. For some people, this is a weekend here and there, but for others, it’s travelling for extended periods of time.

Everyone will have a different idea of a ‘perfect’ 4WD.

Not everyone’s perfect 4WD is the same

I can’t stress the importance of building a 4WD to suit your requirements. Don’t throw a heap of money at a vehicle without the relevant underlying purposes. What you end up with may be completely different to your neighbours and workmates.

The build should suit how you use your 4WD, as that’s the only thing you will care about when touring!

A Land Rover is a great example of a touring vehicle. 

Start with the right vehicle

Building a 4WD up to tour Australia can be an expensive and time-consuming exercise. The worst thing you can do is start with the wrong vehicle in mind and get too far along the build. I’ve seen a lot of people spend a small fortune in time and money on a 4WD only to realise it will never really do what they want it to, and then you’ve either got to compromise and live with it, or sell it and start again.

You can never do too much research! Have a really good think about what you want the 4WD for, how long you are going to keep it for, what it’s going to cost you to keep and where you want to visit.

If you are into the normal touring then you have a lot of options. If you want to get into the tough touring, or harder 4WD tracks then you need to look a little more carefully.

Choose wisely before you begin modifying. Pictured is a highly modified Hilux. 

What’s the real aim here?

The end goal is to build a 4WD that allows you to travel Australia comfortably, safely, easily and with some form of self-sufficiency. What you stay in, who you go with, where you travel and what you get up to form the basis of building your 4WD.

What makes a good touring 4WD?

It’s got to make you happy

The more you use your 4WD, the quicker you’ll identify things that frustrate or annoy you. These are the things that you can work on. If cleaning the dishes is a pain because you don’t have access to water easily, or setting your tent up is too hard, you’ll soon become unhappy with it. The perfect touring 4WD meets your requirements and makes touring a pleasure.

Your vehicle ultimately needs to suit you and make you happy. 

Self-sufficiency

If you can pack up and head away from civilisation for more than a couple of days, you are self-sufficient. This covers your ability to eat, sleep, go to the toilet and explore in comfort. You want to be able to recover yourself if you get stuck, or repair anything (to an extent) that might go wrong in your travels.

If you have regular problems with your 4WD, then it isn’t self-sufficient. Obviously, you are going to need to call into civilisation to get food, water and fuel, but there’s no reason why you can’t set a 4WD up to spend 1 – 3 weeks away from any shops.

Carrying your own rubbish properly is just one part of self-sufficiency. 

Ease of meal preparation and cooking

A big part of camping is being able to prepare meals in a way that is tasty, relatively healthy and without too much difficulty. Some people love cooking over the fire, whilst others prefer a gas burner and one pot meals.

Whatever it is, being able to prepare food and then clean up with ease will form a big part of building the perfect touring 4WD.

A 12V fridge is one of the best modifications you can make to your vehicle for meals. 

Quick, simple and comfortable sleeping arrangements

When it comes to camping, the easiest way to ruin your trip is to have a terrible night’s sleep (especially if more than one!). If you are waking up with a sore back, covered in condensation or with frozen feet, things can be improved on.

Whether you opt for a rooftop tent, normal tent, swag or tow a camper trailer, it all forms part of being able to spend a night in the bush in comfort.

A custom built canopy may be something that works for your set up. 

Functional modifications for storage and power

The best part about building a 4WD is coming up with ways to make your storage and power functional. A fridge is a brilliant place to start and being able to access what you need regularly with ease will make or break your touring vehicle.

Lights that provide the brightness and angle to suit how you use your vehicle are super important – struggling to see what is in a drawer in the middle of the night is not part of a vehicle that is well set up.

These days, the electrical systems are becoming hugely impressive – you can take your inverters and coffee machines if you really want. Obviously, these cost more money than a basic setup, but if that’s what you want, go for it!

Have a good think about storing water and fuel too. Australia is a big place, so you need plenty of water and often a lot of fuel too.

Spotlights and a bull bar are both additions that you should consider. 

Building your 4WD

Make a plan!

If possible, even before buying your 4WD, sit down and work out what you want to do. Write down every modification, who’s going to build and fit it, and how much it’s going to cost. Look at the weights, and ensure you are going to be compliant when it’s all done.

If you ignore the planning stage, you’ll still eventually get it right but it will cost you a bucket load more money and a lot of extra time and effort. If you don’t plan, you will make expensive and time-consuming mistakes.

Do you have safe storage options with your vehicle? 

Do it slowly

The more travelling you’ve done, the better equipped you are at making good decisions for modifying your 4WD. There’s no need to throw every accessory under the sun onto your 4WD, especially if it won’t add much value to you.

Start slow, travel with your 4WD and make a note each time you go touring of the things that are frustrating or difficult. When you get home, modify the vehicle to suit.

Other important things to look at:

How heavy is it?

If you build a 4WD up for touring, you’ll soon have to face the battle of weights. Like all vehicles, you can only add so much weight to your 4WD before it becomes illegal. When you plan the build, pay careful attention to what your 4WD can carry and how you use your precious payload.

4WD shows are a great place to get ideas and to also see a lot of gear quickly and easily. 

Is it legal?

In order to maintain insurance and stay on the right side of the law, your vehicle must be roadworthy. While a big lift kit and tyres might look great, they aren’t legal without jumping through a lot of hoops (if you are going to do it, get it engineered and do it properly!). The risk of driving an illegal vehicle around is just too high, so keep it legal.

Communications and safety

Whilst travelling, you want to be safe. Think about how you are going to communicate (UHF radio, satellite phone and/or emergency locational devices), what you need for first aid and what to do when something goes wrong.

Ensure there are lots of gauges to help you keep an eye on everything.

Cost

I’ve seen some truly amazing 4WDs setup for touring that cost less than $10,000. On the other end of the spectrum, there are 4WDs worth more than my house. If you don’t budget (and do it well) it will bite you badly.

You don’t need the top of the range equipment to have an amazing time touring around Australia. I’ve seen people use office filing cabinets as drawers in the back of their 4WDs. As long as it works, you can’t ask for much more than that!

Final words

Above all, building the perfect touring 4WD is about having a tool that makes travelling Australia enjoyable for you and those with you. It’s very much a personal thing and although you can learn and copy some amazing ideas from others in the industry, not every 4WD built for touring Australia is the same.

Having a 4WD that is set up and ready to travel at a moment’s notice is one of the best things I’ve ever done. The memories made and experiences had as an individual, with mates, friends and family through a 4WD cannot have a dollar value put on them.

Being able to explore whenever you want will make the process worthwhile. 

If you’ve been thinking of touring Australia, I can’t rate it higher. There’s something for everyone and with a well thought out 4WD, you’ll have the time of your life. See you out there!

my opinion on;

character in general: Yuuri Katsuki, the timid skater who pretty much kinda learns to later be like YAAAAHHHHHHH I GOT THIS. I AM THE SEXY KATSUDON AND VIKTOR WANTS ME. YOU ALL WANT ME BUT YOU CAN’T HAVE-- only Viktor can have. Okay jokes aside he was a timid guy to start who has major self-confidence issues. He struggles to get himself out there. This does slowly change once Viktor becomes his coach. He learns to strive even harder towards his goal. He can’t let his coach down. He wants to make him proud. He has to get out there and be the best he can be. He CAN do this, he WILL prove those people wrong who were saying mean things about him. 

He’ll prove them all that he is not a waste of time. Viktor did not make a mistake. He’s not a mistake. He progresses a lot, this guy. I can’t say that he’s not still timid, because he can be, but it’s just a bit less compared to the very start. He learns to have more confidence, and has more faith in his abilities and his stamina. Pushing himself to the limits. A very emotional guy, but his insecurities often hold him back. A guy full of passion and vigor. One who knows he can get better. He may get discouraged and he may give up, but eventually he does rise up once more. He’s learned from the past. He will work off it and make himself better, he will be a new Yuuri Katsuki. A very admirable character, tbh. One thing that’s interesting about him is that while he often put himself down, there were many who saw the potential in him. Could see he was/could be great. He’s surrounded by love and support. This of course, is just my opinion and in no way is me saying this is the only way to see him. If anyone else sees him differently, that’s totally okay.

how they play them: So when Yuuri interacts with a lot of people, he comes off as being a bit... calm? Like he’s a neutral kind of person, when in fact he may be the opposite on the inside. He’s not overly happy when he talks to people, but he’s not like an angry hissy-cat either (//coughs). So that part of him, I feel is kept in line. 

He can however get really nervous and or shy when it comes to his own work, so he can speak of himself with a bit of a humble nature and a smidgen of humility(?) It’s like a big part of who he is. The way he thinks about himself and his work. He can’t, when not on the ice, be all pompous and puff out his chest. No, he knows how to be modest. He knows humility. I like how that nature does show up a bit in some of the interacts you had. There wasn’t much for me to work off of so forgive me. He is in fact used to being hated, so I can definitely see him kind of taking things with stride. He has to. So being glared at and reacting the way he did, I can believe that. 

The Drabble for the Rallies thing, it’s hard for me to explain, but the general feel of it seemed a bit depressing or just very self-reflective? It just captures that general insecurity feel of his. However, he still has firm beliefs. He stands firm when it’s his own beliefs, and above all else, Viktor has always been a huge figure in his life. The way he ended on a positive note thinking of Viktor, to me, just really says ‘Yuuri Katsuki’. Like I said, there wasn’t many interactions for me to work off of, but I do believe you are doing well. 

the mun: So I don’t think we’ve talked before ooc, so I can’t say all too much. I did look through some tags and I can see that there is a part that is meticulous and organized in the way that you use multiple tags. You don’t just stick with the required tags, you have your own system. It does take effort to do to come up with a system and to remember them all. It shows a bit of discipline. I also saw a few like more jokey tags as well so it also shows that you can be serious but also be like ‘YEYEYEY OKAY GAME TIME. LET’S GOOO. LETS HAVE FUUNNNNNNNN’

I do saw that you pretty much never failed to state if anything needs changed, just hit you up. Shows flexibility in one’s character and the willingness to go along with others, also consideration because it’s nice to just say so to everyone, rather than just stating it once and expecting for everyone to remember this being the case that they’re allowed to just hit you up if they want something changed. That’s how I figure it, anyways. 

Now with this meme, there is one thing that I can definitely say: You’ve got some guts. I could be wrong but I don’t think we’ve interacted at all. Maybe sparingly with meme days, but none have ever gone past that and were made into threads. So truly, it takes a lot of daringness and guts to send in a meme like this, I think. Especially when a big part of it is how I think of the mun and how they write. Hard to really say if you’ve never interacted-- ya know? Still, you sent it in regardless and that’s real gutsy. overall opinion: So overall, I think you are a person who is reaaaal gutsy, and might not be too afraid to go out there? I must say i’m interested in the having sent in two urls thing. Perhaps because you are interested in threading with me with those characters? Maybe that is the case and you saw Izuzu doing the same thing and so knew I’d be okay with it and was like ‘well here goes nothing~’. Whichever the case, it’s good to see someone who is willing to get themselves out there. I felt as though the part of asking whether or not i’m still accepting shows consideration. I did a good number of the same meme and it takes a lot of effort. My back hurts so much like you don’t understand. So it’s nice to see someone taking that into consideration and asking in case. Again, that’s literally how I see it. 

So all in all, from what I could gather, you seem like someone who is pretty open-minded and are willing to do what you think needs done to get some progress. Very admirable. I unfortunately don’t know Minako, so I can’t really say much about her characterization. I could speak on Yuuri but there wasn’t much on the blog for me to work off of. Either way, from what I have seen, I can see you put thought into what you do, and you try to put in as much elements as you can about a character in your characterization. I believe you to be doing an excellent job with your writing. Keep it up.

character in general: I actually don’t... know who she is really? I can’t really have an opinion on someone that I don’t... know. Though I guess that’s not entirely correct as I did play with a Minako once over on my main RP blog. The way she was played there was that she was a very upbeat girl who was very friendly, and to me she seemed like a very honest individual. Tells it like it is. I did a very quick read through on her personality and got that she’s a character full of energy and life? Though she apparently hides her suffering and her burdens. So she’s not just a happy character. I’d guess that perhaps while she’s a happy and active character, a lot of it is done in order to make herself be able to push through her pain. A distaction if you would. That’s my guess, anyways. Her visuals do remind me a bit of Haru Miura, who is my queen btw, therefore she’s most definitely cool in my book already. 

how they play them: So my very very quick researching shows that while she’s very cheerful, upbeat and funny, she can also be very sarcastic or serious? So it seems like she’s a character who plays by her own emotions, and is a whole book of possibilities. We’ve never threaded so I took the liberties of just skimming through some of your interactions and so I can see there are times when she’s very cheerful and playful and other times where she is not so happy and is having an outburst or being serious. In other words, like a regular human being. Not 2-dimensional in their personality. 

She seems also rather cute the way she’s written? I honestly can’t really say very much since... I don’t really know much about the character in general but I can see that you do like your character a lot and you write her as one would a young girl. Full of life and vigor. Willing to be a bit brave, to get out there and be honest to herself but sometimes also reel back a bit out of shyness and the like. This honestly really doesn’t mean much from me as I don’t know Minako, but I feel as though you were doing a good job with her.

On Sunday, August 12, 2018, after his name was, for the umpteenth time, linked to the role of 007, the British actor tweeted: “My name’s Elba,” an obvious allusion to the famous line spoken by Bond.

  Hours later, Elba, who has for years been rumoured as the next 007, tweeted a photo of the rap group Public Enemy alongside a lyric from one of their favourite songs: “Don’t believe the HYPE …”

  The tweets came days after a report in Daily Star alleged that director Antoine Fuqua said that Bond producer Barbara Broccoli intends to bring diversity to the role.

However, according to CNN, a spokesperson for Faqua said the report in Daily Star isn’t accurate.

For years, Elba has been a fan favourite for the  Fictional MI6 agent James Bond character, and severally, he has dismissed rumours that he’s in talks with the studio to replace the current Bond, Daniel Craig.

In 2014, he told CNN that he’s open to playing the role. “It would be such an honor,” he said. “I mean what do we have to do here? We have to wear beautiful suits, drive nice cars, chase bad guys and date beautiful women? I dunno, sounds good to me.”

Also in 2014, a hacked Sony email revealed the company thought the actor “should be the next Bond”.

Elba responded via Twitter, asking “Isn’t 007 supposed to be handsome? “glad you think I’ve got a shot!”

And in 2016, he told Good Morning America that he is too old to play Bond.

Now this is rather humiliating and he’d much rather not to do, but he’s being forced to do this against his will and he has no say in the matter. It didn’t seem like many people were going to be seeing him like this, so he just let it go. He relented, reaching out for the kigurumi. 

“This doesn’t leave the room, okay? If it does, I’m going to get angry.” His tone was still friendly, but there was a bit of an edge to it, suggesting that no one wanted to make him angry if they knew what was good for them. 

He walked into the other room to try on the cat kigurumi that he was given to wear and he walked out, feeling like his pride was just shattered to pieces. 

The Kigurumi suit was of a black cat with a bell collar, and halfway through the changing process, a certain someone decided, ‘Wait wait! You forgot the apron!’ and so he was wearing that as well. 

One day, she was going to find herself in a load of trouble, but she wasn’t too concerned about the future just yet.

“Can I ask who you are? I don’t recognize you by your voice. I don’t think Izumi would appreciate you asking me about his personal life.” Shugarl calmly answered the question. Someone had walked up to him while he sat on his usual bench, reading his book. With him saying that, he proceeded to ignore the person who was trying to get information out of him until they gave up and left. 

Shugarl could be as stubborn as a mule, and he did not want to risk saying the wrong thing about his relationship with Izumi that may negatively affect his career. At the current moment the two were just friends and nothing more. No matter how you answered, he knew that tabloids had a way of twisting the truth. Even if he had answered that they were friends only, it may not translate that way into the news. 

The two were coming to be good friends and that was the extent of it, but Shugarl would not deny that he was quite fond of Izumi. He was interesting to talk to, sincere, and he had a beautiful voice. 

We’ve discussed and HC’ed the two of these getting into a romantic relationship later down the line. Shugarl is fine with getting into a relationship, but he would have issues with feeling guilty, because he’s giving Izumi more problems to deal with. He has to be very attentive to him and worry about him. Shugarl can be self-sufficient at home, but he still requires some help every now and again, especially when he goes outside. 

The idea of having children would be something that he would be hesitant about because then he’s putting other people in the same boat as Izumi. Kids will also have to realize that their father is blind, and that he’s not like the ‘other dads’ who can see them and play with them. He’ll never be able to truly see what his kids look like. He would never be able to see the drawings that his kids would draw and such. 

He’d try to be as supportive of a father as he can, but there is a limitation to what he can do due to his disability. That would hang heavy on him. If Izumi really REALLY wanted to adopt children, Shugarl would agree to it. I think the two would either adopt only one child, or two. 

My bet is that they’d only adopt one at first, and maybe a few years down the line they adopt another one if they think that the first child is lonely and would like to have a sibling. Otherwise, Shugarl wouldn’t want to have too many people who have to be worried about him. It makes him feel pretty guilty and i’m sure one day a kid will just snap because children are evil lil SNOTS and they may tease because of Shugarl’s blindness. 

I see Shugarl being told ‘why can’t you see?’ ‘why can’t you be like other fathers? They can see!’ things like that. Some kids are brutal in response to other kids being cruel. Geebs, Shugarl would be so hurt. 

As for genders or characteristics of the children, I think that is mainly up to Izumi and what he wants as Shugarl would simply accept Izumi’s decision. He can’t see them so he can’t choose based off of anything but what he hears.

If you want to see the real Australia, you need to get off the beaten track. Having a 4WD is the ultimate way to do this. There’s so much to see and do in this great land, but the best of it is off the bitumen roads!

Building a 4WD up to explore Australia is becoming increasingly popular all over the country. You won’t find any 4WD off the factory floor that is well set up for travelling, camping and exploring Australia, and the ‘build’ refers to various modifications, accessories and changes made to make the vehicle more suitable for touring.

The perfect touring 4WD is one that is self-sufficient, capable and comfortable to take yourself, your partner or your whole family off the beaten track for however long you choose to travel for. For some people, this is a weekend here and there, but for others, it’s travelling for extended periods of time.

Everyone will have a different idea of a ‘perfect’ 4WD.

Not everyone’s perfect 4WD is the same

I can’t stress the importance of building a 4WD to suit your requirements. Don’t throw a heap of money at a vehicle without the relevant underlying purposes. What you end up with may be completely different to your neighbours and workmates.

The build should suit how you use your 4WD, as that’s the only thing you will care about when touring!

A Land Rover is a great example of a touring vehicle. 

Start with the right vehicle

Building a 4WD up to tour Australia can be an expensive and time-consuming exercise. The worst thing you can do is start with the wrong vehicle in mind and get too far along the build. I’ve seen a lot of people spend a small fortune in time and money on a 4WD only to realise it will never really do what they want it to, and then you’ve either got to compromise and live with it, or sell it and start again.

You can never do too much research! Have a really good think about what you want the 4WD for, how long you are going to keep it for, what it’s going to cost you to keep and where you want to visit.

If you are into the normal touring then you have a lot of options. If you want to get into the tough touring, or harder 4WD tracks then you need to look a little more carefully.

Choose wisely before you begin modifying. Pictured is a highly modified Hilux.

The end goal is to build a 4WD that allows you to travel Australia comfortably, safely, easily and with some form of self-sufficiency. What you stay in, who you go with, where you travel and what you get up to form the basis of building your 4WD.

What makes a good touring 4WD?

It’s got to make you happy

The more you use your 4WD, the quicker you’ll identify things that frustrate or annoy you. These are the things that you can work on. If cleaning the dishes is a pain because you don’t have access to water easily, or setting your tent up is too hard, you’ll soon become unhappy with it. The perfect touring 4WD meets your requirements and makes touring a pleasure.

Your vehicle ultimately needs to suit you and make you happy. 

Self-sufficiency

If you can pack up and head away from civilisation for more than a couple of days, you are self-sufficient. This covers your ability to eat, sleep, go to the toilet and explore in comfort. You want to be able to recover yourself if you get stuck, or repair anything (to an extent) that might go wrong in your travels.

If you have regular problems with your 4WD, then it isn’t self-sufficient. Obviously, you are going to need to call into civilisation to get food, water and fuel, but there’s no reason why you can’t set a 4WD up to spend 1 – 3 weeks away from any shops.

Carrying your own rubbish properly is just one part of self-sufficiency. 

Ease of meal preparation and cooking

A big part of camping is being able to prepare meals in a way that is tasty, relatively healthy and without too much difficulty. Some people love cooking over the fire, whilst others prefer a gas burner and one pot meals.

Whatever it is, being able to prepare food and then clean up with ease will form a big part of building the perfect touring 4WD.

A 12V fridge is one of the best modifications you can make to your vehicle for meals. 

Quick, simple and comfortable sleeping arrangements

When it comes to camping, the easiest way to ruin your trip is to have a terrible night’s sleep (especially if more than one!). If you are waking up with a sore back, covered in condensation or with frozen feet, things can be improved on.

Whether you opt for a rooftop tent, normal tent, swag or tow a camper trailer, it all forms part of being able to spend a night in the bush in comfort.

A custom built canopy may be something that works for your set up. 

Functional modifications for storage and power

The best part about building a 4WD is coming up with ways to make your storage and power functional. A fridge is a brilliant place to start and being able to access what you need regularly with ease will make or break your touring vehicle.

Lights that provide the brightness and angle to suit how you use your vehicle are super important – struggling to see what is in a drawer in the middle of the night is not part of a vehicle that is well set up.

These days, the electrical systems are becoming hugely impressive – you can take your inverters and coffee machines if you really want. Obviously, these cost more money than a basic setup, but if that’s what you want, go for it!

Have a good think about storing water and fuel too. Australia is a big place, so you need plenty of water and often a lot of fuel too.

Spotlights and a bull bar are both additions that you should consider. 

Building your 4WD

Make a plan!

If possible, even before buying your 4WD, sit down and work out what you want to do. Write down every modification, who’s going to build and fit it, and how much it’s going to cost. Look at the weights, and ensure you are going to be compliant when it’s all done.

If you ignore the planning stage, you’ll still eventually get it right but it will cost you a bucket load more money and a lot of extra time and effort. If you don’t plan, you will make expensive and time-consuming mistakes.

Do you have safe storage options with your vehicle? 

Do it slowly

The more travelling you’ve done, the better equipped you are at making good decisions for modifying your 4WD. There’s no need to throw every accessory under the sun onto your 4WD, especially if it won’t add much value to you.

Start slow, travel with your 4WD and make a note each time you go touring of the things that are frustrating or difficult. When you get home, modify the vehicle to suit.

Other important things to look at:

How heavy is it?

If you build a 4WD up for touring, you’ll soon have to face the battle of weights. Like all vehicles, you can only add so much weight to your 4WD before it becomes illegal. When you plan the build, pay careful attention to what your 4WD can carry and how you use your precious payload.

4WD shows are a great place to get ideas and to also see a lot of gear quickly and easily. 

Is it legal?

In order to maintain insurance and stay on the right side of the law, your vehicle must be roadworthy. While a big lift kit and tyres might look great, they aren’t legal without jumping through a lot of hoops (if you are going to do it, get it engineered and do it properly!). The risk of driving an illegal vehicle around is just too high, so keep it legal.

Communications and safety

Whilst travelling, you want to be safe. Think about how you are going to communicate (UHF radio, satellite phone and/or emergency locational devices), what you need for first aid and what to do when something goes wrong.

Ensure there are lots of gauges to help you keep an eye on everything.

Cost

I’ve seen some truly amazing 4WDs setup for touring that cost less than $10,000. On the other end of the spectrum, there are 4WDs worth more than my house. If you don’t budget (and do it well) it will bite you badly.

You don’t need the top of the range equipment to have an amazing time touring around Australia. I’ve seen people use office filing cabinets as drawers in the back of their 4WDs. As long as it works, you can’t ask for much more than that!

Final words

Above all, building the perfect touring 4WD is about having a tool that makes travelling Australia enjoyable for you and those with you. It’s very much a personal thing and although you can learn and copy some amazing ideas from others in the industry, not every 4WD built for touring Australia is the same.

Having a 4WD that is set up and ready to travel at a moment’s notice is one of the best things I’ve ever done. The memories made and experiences had as an individual, with mates, friends and family through a 4WD cannot have a dollar value put on them.

Being able to explore whenever you want will make the process worthwhile.
