The rain had finally stopped, and the long-awaited sun peeked out from its hiding place among the grey clouds. Wherever it shined, the shadow retreated, slithering back to the far corners and leaving Izuku with a better view of the streets.

When emerald eyes first landed upon the familiar figure, they widened in shock. He blinked twice, hard, just to check if it was but a trick of his mind.

For the first time in days, fate proved to be kind.

Aided by black whip, Izuku swung right into the person, allowing his body to slam against the other hard enough to take them both to the ground.

The first thing he did was to give the other a frantic once over, eyes rapidly checking for bruises, wounds, and other injuries. Fury only bubbled to the surface when no obvious concerns were found, and he grabbed his former classmate by the collar.

"Where were you?" He demanded, grip tightening. "Why haven't you called? We were so worried, you have no idea-" Breathe. "We thought you got kidnapped. People were searching everywhere for you. Your family was waiting for some sort of ransom demand and when none came, they...we..." All thought you were dead. Getting tortured somewhere. Turned into a nomu.

Nobody ever said it, but the possibilities kept many up at night. "I am calling your dad." Izuku clenched his jaw and forced himself to remain calm, scrambling in his pocket for his phone.

An observant gaze lingered over his appearance, a brow raised in thought. If he had been trying to stay lowkey he had been doing a great job of it. Had it not been for the strands of hair poking out of his beanie suspicions over his identity wouldn’t of arised. Her earjack retracted back as hands found their spot in her jacket’s pockets. Despite being dead he looked good, not that she’d say that outloud. A hum to begin her response, bringing her back to the cafe. 

❝ This is a new spot for me so I can’t say i’ve tried much. But Yaomomo told me their herbal tea blends are stellar. ❞ An earjack pointed at the herbal side of the menu board. Who knew a day out & away from school would turn out so odd. 

❝ If you were wondering, no. Nobody else is here with me. And I don’t have a big mouth about things that aren’t my business, so, we’re cool. If you’re not rushing off though did you want to chat? ❞

I’ll be getting to replies as soon as I can. I’m having trouble wording some of them but they are coming, just some are coming slower than others. I’ve been having less muse on Baku for a few days so I’ll mostly be on shootstyled and iceablaze so bother Izu and Shouto

   How long has it been? Last Fuyumi remembers, Shouto was much smaller than her. Now, he towers over her, his features matured and nearly void of baby fat. It shouldn’t be a shock to her, after all she watched him on TV during UA’s Sports Festival, but she still falters upon seeing him in the flesh before her. “You’ve grown so much...” 

   Biting her lip, she adds, “Do you remember me?”

When you ask Todoroki for help with your tasks but he just lets Sero snap your neck in electrical instead. This game is rigged.

      Shigaraki checked his phone for any updates on a situation the others were having. So far, not a single text, so he assumed the situation was handled. He slowly tucked his phone away and went about his day. He figured it’d be normal, just his usual walk around the city. Though then he spotted someone in the distance.

     His feet turned and walked towards the boy. He really couldn’t believe his eyes. This boy was supposedly missing, or dead. No one really knew. But here he was.

      “Well if it isn’t the missing kid,” Shigaraki greeted and waved a hand with is words. “Never thought I’d see you around ever. Aren’t you far from home?” the male asked.

Neesan won’t explain where Touya is, and he knows mom is gone, but father is out too so all that’s left is to wait for Natsuo, head snapping up when he hears the door open.

Oh, man. Natsuo wasn’t sure what he should expect when he got to the house. Getting the news from his sister that Shouto had been turned into a little kid was hard to believe. If anyone else had told him he would’ve thought they were lying, but he knew Fuyumi would never lie about anything regarding Shouto.

But that just made him more curious about what Shouto was like as a kid. He only had vague memories of his brother from childhood, and it was something he always resented about the way they grew up. In another life he and Shouto probably would’ve been best friends growing up. 

He pushes the bitter anger aside as he enters the house. He could deal with that later. Right now, Shouto was more important than anything. 

“Hello? Nee-chan!” he called out after toeing off his shoes and padding further into the house. He pauses when he makes it to the front room, seeing the little boy sitting at the kotatsu, eyes immediately catching his. 

He stared for a moment. He almost wanted to laugh. Had Shouto really been that small? Or did he seem so small because Natsuo was now an adult.

"Hey...Shouto,” he greeted, a hesitant smile on his face as he approaches the little boy to join him at the kotatsu. “You know who I am, right? I’m Natsuo.”

     It had been a few weeks now since he’d seen the news report.  Seen that Shouto Todoroki, aspiring hero and determined young individual, had gone missing rather suddenly.  U.A. had conducted searches in depth and turned up nothing.  Endeavor’s swarm of underlings were apparently keeping their eyes out- a fact that the villain found no comfort in whatsoever for many reasons.

    Dabi would never admit it aloud, never sacrifice his pride unless it was absolutely necessary… but he was worried about his kid brother.  Seeing the missing person reports was one thing, but knowing for a fact that it wasn’t a kidnapping was another.  With a little persuasion, he’d gotten Giran to do a bit of digging.  The name Shouto Todoroki wasn’t popping up in any of the assumed circles no matter how much he’d pried.  Which meant that his sibling was either dead in a landfill somewhere or had fled of his own volition… and by any number of deities that Dabi didn’t exactly believe in, he hoped it was the latter.

    Whether by luck or sheer stubbornness, Giran had gotten a lead- a small one- and passed it along to Dabi.  A boy with a prominent burn along the left side of his body was seen in an area where one of the broker’s clients tended to loiter.  So, that’s where Dabi decided to start his search.

    Time stretched on as the League firestarter combed through alley after alley, street after street.  At this point he wasn’t sure if the info was genuine or just a fluke… at least, that’s what he was debating when luck finally decided to shine on the older Todoroki.  An empty alley, a brief flash of white and red.  He didn’t need more than that to give him reason to watch.  To step into the other’s path.  To confront.  “Hey, hold up for a second.”  Dabi knew he’d be recognized, and not in the friendly ‘family’ way either.  He’d helped kidnap that explosion brat after all.  He was pretty prepared to duck out of the way if worse came to worse.

Izuku groans from his position on Shouto’s shoulder. When he’d suggested they watch a Horror movie to get into the spirit of Halloween, he really hadn’t anticipated it would freak him out so much! Why didn’t they watch a cute or funny movie for the occasion instead?

Still, it must be silly to get this worked up over something so minor. He peaks out to stare at the screen, the only light in the otherwise pitch-black dorm room. One of the main characters is entering a dark room, calling out for her missing boyfriend. Eerie music is creeping up in the background and it’s obvious something awful is on its way. It pops out as a jump scare, a bloody creature with twisted limbs and empty eye sockets. Izuku jumps, squeaking as he returns his face to its original position. “I... think I’m okay with missing out on this one!”

❝Don't move.❞ A command untouched by his quirk but laced with thinly-veiled threat slips out between heavy breaths, heart racing from the chase that ultimately came to an end when his target made a miscalculated move by losing his footing and crashing into a hurdle of cardboard boxes. Hitoshi had pushed beyond all endurance just to catch at least one of the men he and his fellow pro hero have managed to track down and he happens to be lucky enough to pursue someone who is relatively the youngest one in the bunch and hence easiest to capture.

They have wound up in an abandoned warehouse with tall shadows looming over them and the crescent moon casting almost no light through the windows at all. Hitoshi could barely see his captive but does his best to focus on their faint outline as much as he could. His grip on his binding cloth tightens but makes no move to use it— he has no reason to do so yet.

❝Hands in the air and turn around.❞

Ever since what Katsuki dubbed as the “Shitty Kindergarten Brat Incident,” he had gradually begun to cooperate with the rest of the students in the Remedial Course. As much as he hated to admit it, he worked surprisingly well with Icy Hot’s Quirk. It also helped that Camie’s illusions were a fucking riot. 

They were doing another team exercise and the U.A. students were forced to be partners. They had to design a combo attack to use against Gang Orca. 

“Oi! Just give me a wave of ice, and I’ll jump off of it and blast the asshole in the face!” he declared with a fierce grin.
