Unenlighted: Sky and Wild don't have that good of a relationship due to Sky's guilt and Wild not feeling he's good enough when compared to any of his predecessors because he failed the kingdom once and it gets exacerbated by the events of TOTK, similar case with Flora and Sun.
Enlightened: Sky and Wild have a pretty good relationship, but it's still strained because of both their problems and the strain grows bigger after TOTK when Fi breaks, Sun likes Flora just fine as a descendant while Flora is incessantly tormented by the fact she always believed her entire life she'd never measure up to the other Zelda's because she couldn't fulfill her duty anymore than Wild could, and it causes communication.
Ascended: Sky and Twilight having a full blow custody war in the back because they both see Wild as a better successor than he believes himself to be due to the parallels to BOTW, TOTK and Skyward Sword even though it's technically Twilight Princess' spiritual sucessor (since it was originally made to be a sequel to that game) and Sky and Wild both get along well with one another, and instead of getting angry at Wild for breaking Fi he's more so worried for him and her equally (and then has to be held back by the rest of the Chain along with Twi to not eviscerate whatever's left of Ganondorf's body) meanwhile Sun all but surprise adopted Flora as a sister and is super supportive of all her pursuits and number one hype woman because she was as unhinged as her at her age and Flora is flabbergasted but really really happy and relieved she doesn't see her as a disappointment or anything and they get along like the sister she never had growing up. Specially since they can both bond over not being quite regular humans anymore and can help one another deal and learn more about it.
I will not elaborate.

My notes taken while reasearching the Zelda Timeline lol, mostly cannon a little headcannon in places. Also my Zelink rating aren't how much I like them it's how likely they are in the narrative.
Power: Din ->Demise->Ganondorf. The Gerudo give birth to a male every 100 years, and it's only ever been Ganon. The 100 year system got screwed though because Ganon keeps not actually dying. Pigs. Fire. Red.
Courage: Farore-> heros spirit (fierce diety?)-> Link. Only the hero's spirit is reincarnated in Link, so he's not the same person. Not related at all, except for Twilight Princess where Link is a descendant of Ocarina of Time Link. Wolves and horses. Lighting. Green.
Wisdom: Naydra -> Hylia-> Zelda. Every Zelda is actually Hylia reincarnated through a consistant bloodline. Loftwing. Ice. Blue.
-there is a void called Null
-The three goddess create the earth and the triforce, and that's their only relation to Demise, Hylia, and the heros spirit. They're not reincarnations at all, more like patrons. (Unwillingly in Dins case). Din created the land, Farore created life, and Nayru created order.
-possibly Zonai and Sonia and Rauru founding the first kingdom of Hyrule. This would imply there is a Ganon unconnected to Demise sealed for the rest of everything and a dragon Zelda floating around. Rauru and Sonias light and time magic start off the royal family.
-a long undisclosed time with robots for some reason
-A battle between the Hylia, Demise and the races in Hyrule breaks out over the Triforce. Hylia takes the Hylian kingdom into the sky to protect them, then becomes a Hylian to protect the triforce. She also created a sword with a spirit named Fi with her godly power. With Demise sealed for now, she waits to be born.
-Sheikah are probably started around here, as like a Hylia cult.
-Skyward Sword: First incartion is Skyward Sword, when Hylia chooses to be born as Zelda and chooses Link as her champion to hold the heros spirit. They fight Demise who then curses them to reincarnate forever, and establishes his own incarnation, kicking off the rest of the series. Hylia, now Zelda, is shown to use her time powers. Link, Zelda, and a few Hylians from Skyloft restart the kingdom on the surface.
Link and Zelda are in love, Zelda chosing Link specifically for that reason. This could imply that Hylia and the heros spirit are soulmates in some way, and every incarnarion after is an extension of that. They don't end up together every time, but that makes it even more beautiful and heartrenching. (Just to specify, Links aren't related so don't worry about it) 10/10 Zelink potential this shit is cannon.
Kikwi present. Impa is there as part of the Shiekah. Impa seems to be either a repeated name or a title given to Shiekah warriors meant to protect the reincarnation of Hylia, not their own incarnation.
-another very long time gap
-evil sorcerors are after the triforce which is hidden in the sacred realm. A new temple of time (after the one in Hylias time used to hide the sealed Demise and Zelda) is built around the master sword, which has been holding in Demise this whole time.
-Another long time passes. Zelda's descendants have become the royal family. Princesses are named Zelda after the original incarnation (note, they aren't all reincarnations, just named after her). There is still a lot of magic floating around the bloodline.
-sheikah are sworn to Hylias blood and therefore the royal family.
-Hyrule is again in danger, a special species called the Minish come from the sky to protect them with a special sword, which was then wielded by an incarnation of Link.
-Minish Cap: a bitch named Vaati wants light powers, turns the current Zelda (actually an incarnation, you know because there's a hero) to stone, and that times Link turns the Minish's sword into the 4-sword. Zelda is the light power source, as the light power is still in the royal family. 8/10 Zelink potential
Gorons present
-Another time skip
- Four Swords: the four-sword is used to defeat Vaati again by another Link and Zelda incarnation. 6/10 Zelink potential
- time skip
- Giant ass civil war
- shiekah go into hiding but are still used by the royal family for sketchy shit. (Queue shadow temple 'nam flash backs)
- the first actual Ganondorf is born, or the second depending on if the Zonai are before or after.
- Ocarina of Time: Ganondorf is born as king of the gerudo, and pretends to be allied with the king to gain access to the triforce which is still in the sacred realm, sealed with the master sword. This Link incarnation pulls out the master sword as a child and opens the sacred realm, allowing Ganandorf access to the Triforce, the triforce of power attaching itself to him forever. This also gave Link the triforce of Courage and Zelda the triforce of wisdom. The sacred realm becomes evil and Ganondorf is sealed in it. There's a lot of time travel and it ruins just everything.
Zora, Kokiri, Gerudo, and Gorons present.
Great deku tree dies and is reborn.
and now shit hits the fan
Fallen hero time line
- Ocarina of Time: Link freaking dies and Ganondorf wins, taking the while triforce for himself. He still gets sealed in the corrupted sacred realm, but now he has the triforce. 0/10 Zelink potential long term, as Link is dead, but like 8/10 short term.
- time passes and homies keep going into the sacred realm to get the triforce but they never come back and monsters keep coming out. The sealed it again, at great cost of life and resources
-Echoes of Wisdom: a dark being called Null that was the nothing before the three goddess's created Hyrule starts taking over Hyrule with Rifts. Zelda gets kidnapped and Link is called to save her, but immediately after gets dragged into a rift and Zelda saves Hyrule from Null, who for a second owns a piece of the Triforce. At the end Null is defeated and the Triforce is restored. 10/10 Zelink potential it was glorious
- A Link to the Past: Agahim, some bitch, takes over the kingdom and the remaining sages to break the seal on Ganon. This reincarnarion of Zelda magically contacts the new Link. He kills Ganon and uses his newly acquired triforce to put everything back to normal. Now the royal family has the triforce. 7/10 Zelink potential. Same Link then has Links awakening acid trip. I'd knock down the Zelink potential but Malin like isn't real so.
Zora present
-Oracle series: same Link then has another acid trip but this time it's real, ending with Ganon being brought back to life as a mindless force of chaos. Ups Zelink to like 8/10, and confirms existence of other kingdoms beside Hyrule that aren't in another dimension.
- triforce splits again somehow, power returns to beast Ganon
- time skip
- A Link Between Worlds: new Link, new sages, Lorule exists so that's fun, opposite Hyrule dimension without a triforce. Ganon is freed and eats a man probably. Confirms this Link and Zelda have their respective triforces. Upon returning to Hyrule, the triforce is again in 1 piece and peace is restored to Hyrule and Lorule. 8/10 Zelink potential and like 9.5/10 Hildio potential.
- same Link goes to Hytopia, yet another kingdom in the same dimension.
- time skip. Great time, royal family again has the United triforce.
- King breaks up the triforce and sends Courage to the next Link incarnation, hiding its physical location from all except his daughter Zelda. New King puts that Zelda under a sleeping spell and regrets it. Tries to rule with just power of Wisdom but it doesn't go great.
- time skip
- The Legend of Zelda: same Ganon steals the triforce of power, new Zelda and Impa. New Link, without triforce of Courage, again postponed Ganon
- Adventure of Link : same Link is helping Hyrule not burn down, when suddenly he is given the triforce of Courage mark. He wakes up the old Zelda. I'd say the Zelda born in his time is the actual incarnarion, the older Zelda just a princess. 9/10 Zelink actually but like also he's a little weird with old Zelda to little odd but okay.
Child timeline
- Ocarina of Time: Link defeats Ganondorf and is sent back in time to relive the childhood he didn't have. He warns the royal family before Ganondorf can gain any power and therefore the events of Ocarina of Time never happen. Link leaves on a horse to look for Navi and has a Majoras mask acid trip. 10/10 short term Zelink and like 2/10 longterm, but also one of my favorite dynamics. This is one of the tragedy timeliness, where Zelda loved him before sending him back in time (Sheik was a simp). He could have ended up with this Zelda, but he probably didn't because his descendant in the next game isn't royalty like at all. Scrodingers Zelink, if the next Zelink happened then this one didn't, but we don't know if it does.
-Twilight Princess: Ganondorf is banished to the Twilight realm, where the wizard sent there a Hella long time ago got busy. He gains power with a guy named Zant who takes over the Twilight realm and breaks out to Hyrule. The princess of the Twilight realm named Midna finds the new Link incarnation, an actual descendant of the last one and holder of the triforce of Courage.
Link is trained by the like ghost of the hero of time, who is an adult and missing an eye. The hero of time means nothing to this Hyrule because Ocarina of Time never happened.
They kill Ganondorf finally holy shit and the Twilight mirror is shattered, forever separating the two places.
Like 8/10 Zelink potential, frick Illia freaking hate her. I follow that Zelink both had a crush on Midna but she's gone sooooo
Gerudo, Gorons, and Zora.
-big ass time skip
-Four Sword Adventure: new Ganondorf is born finally, but is like immediately sealed with the 4-sword by a new Link. I don't think there even is a Zelda so 0/10 Zelink potential
Adult timeline
-Ocarina of Time :This is what's left when Link gets sent back in time. Ganondorf is sealed in the corrupted spirit realm and the triforce of Courage shatters into 8 pieces, master sword is returned to the temple of time. 10/10 horribly tragic Zelink poor Zelda good lord.
-time passes without any reincarnations.
-Ganon escapes his seal in the sacred realm but there's still no Link or so Hyrule is effed. The gods flood Hyrule, society continues on mountaintops that are now islands and Hyrule is frozen underneath a giant ocean. The Triforce of Wisdom is split in two between Zelda, who stays on land, and her father, in the frozen Hyrule.
-Time passes badly
-Windwaker: Gannon escapes to the surface and kidnaps "girls with pointed ears", or descendants of Hylia. A new Link appears and gets the master sword from the frozen Hyrule, but it doesn't do shit until he fixes the triforce of courage. The king appears and bestows Links pirate captain the other half of the triforce, as she's reveled to be this time's Zelda. The triforce is restored and the old Hyrule gets genocided. Ganon is sealed, not dead, and Link and Zelda/Tetra go to establish a new hyrule. 10/10 Zelink potential this is some good shit. Rito, Kokiri, and Gerudo present
-Phantom Hourglass: Same Link and Zelda have a bit on their quest, no lasting consequences except for 11/10 Zelink potential. They discover New Hyrule.
-Spirit Tracks: some train shit in New Hyrule, new Link and Zelda have a soft romantic adventure with no lasting consequences except no more trains. 10/10 Zelink it's the whole plot.
Gorons present
After or before
-all the three timelines get just apocalyptic and society is just like gone, so the Zonai come from the Heaven's and with their arrival comes the merging of the three timelines.
-OR potentially Rauru and Sonias time is actually before Skyward Sword, as Ganondorf isn't actually a reincarnation. This would imply that every other game happens inbetween Rauru and Sonias time and Breath of the Wild, which i like better but it makes some leaps in logic, however it also explains the existence of both time and Light magic in the royal blood line.
-time passes
-Hyrule is once again reformed OR formed for the first time, by the last of the Zonai, Raruru and his Hylian wife Sonia. The incarnations are still going strong, so Ganondorf is born but their kind of hosed because there isn't a Link or Zelda OR the incarnations havent started yet and this is the first Ganon, before he was tied to Demise.
Luckily, either way, a Zelda comes from the future, and after a battle ending in the death of Sonia, Rauru uses himself to seal Ganondorf away and Zelda turns into a dragon.
-Time passes, the kingdom grows and hyrule castle is built over Ganondorf.
-Time passes and either all the other games happen or nothing happens, either way Zelda is still a dragon.
Definitely after
-a Link and Zelda are reincarnated to fight Calamity Gannon, whatever is left of the monster Ganon that was never killed in the other timelines. They, with the highly technogically advanced Shiekah, build weapons and postpone his return. We don't know much but like 8/10 Zelink I don't know could be cool. Shiekah go off, creating shrines and all types of shit.
-abreak off of the shiekah called the Yiga form, which is like the shiekah but for Ganon instead of Hylia.
-Breath of the Wild: a new Link and Zelda are born. They are so far ahead that they no longer have a grasp on the incarnations before them besides a few sparce legends. They know Ganon is coming back but they don't know who he is. They know Zelda is suppose to have powers, but they have no idea how she's gets them. Link finds the master sword in the lost woods, guarded by the great deku (the 2nd actually the first one died somewhere).
So they fail, whoops. Link dies and gets put in a Sheikah shrine for healing while Zelda holds of Ganon for 100 years.
-hyrule collapses and turns into almost a tribal society very unconnected.
-Link wakes up, wrecks havoc, and defeats Calamity Ganon, freeing Zelda and starting the reconstruction of hyrule.
10/10 Zelink potential. We got the before when Zelda cononicly loved him but we don't know Links feeling, and then Link might remember her and its like a reuniting thing and it's lovely or he doesn't and they fall in love again. Or possibly he didn't love her before and either way its a saga and his rubber band was in her study in "her" house thats all I'm saying.
-7 years, hyrule is being rebuilt by Zelda.
-Tears of the Kingdom: A sickness is spreading through Hyrule, Zelda and Link go to investigate and find what's left of the Ganondorf Rauru fought, who is either the first ganondorf or the most recent one. Zelda is sent in the past to Sonia and Rauru, along with the destroyed master sword.
Zelda is turned into a dragon and lives out thousands of years as one, potentially during every other game in the series. If so, the cloud layer established by Hylia was probably around until the upheavel, hiding her.
-The Upheavel happens and the world gets a little more cracked out, but Link defeats the Ganondorf and Zelda is turned back to her Hylian form. 11/10 Zelink potential and the dragon bit is so upsetting.
The three goddesses are present as dragons. Are they dragons? Are they just manifestations of their power? Idek but it's sick.
What the hell is Beedle? I read a fanfic once that he never dies because he helped Hylia once and it was really good so I highkey stand by that.
Sages kinda hop around, usually there's 7, one for each major group, even though not every race exists in every game. Are they extensions of the gods somehow?
(Rito, Zora, Gerudo, Gorons, Hylians, Shiekah, and whatever weird shit they got going on that game usually just Zelda)
One main issue with the Zonai before theory is that there's all the races when the Rito specifically doesn't seem to exist outside of the adult timeline.
There is a possible Kikwi, Kokiri, Korok pipeline.
I prescribe to the fierce deity as the original hero incarnation because it's just fits well and I'm obsessed with him, but it it doesn't really matter either way. I also read a fanfic once where the Fierce Deity loved Hylia and fought with her against Demise, but he died and the hero's spirit in each Link is what's left of him. Also read one where he saved Farore once from Demise and that's why he's specifically blessed with courage. Might have been the same one. I cannot remember it is 5:30 am and I haven't slept yet.
Ears are cool and plot relevant. The closer they are the Hylia the pointier their ears are, they get less pointy over time. Which adds to the Zonai being before because they got the pointiest ears. Also Gerudo ears get more pointy as time goes on.
Din gerudo pipeline? That's interesting. Farore and Nayru don't really have anything like that. Hylia has the Hylians but that's it.
Great Deku tree? Who? How? Why is he still kicking? Kind of adds to the Before Zonai theory or else he would have had to survive whatever apocalypse destroyed everything
In summary, somebody off me and therapy is probably a good investment.

this isnt as long as before but i just cannot stop thinking about this, why i dislike story and lore boils down to these main point
--the ending feels unsatisfying as hell even if i ignore everything i dont like about how the game treated zelda and ganondorf, the ending itself just feels, despite being presented as super epic an touching, incredibly empty to me and part of it is that it feels like an unearned return to status quo of course i didnt think zelda would stay a dragon and i actually wanted to help her, which is why i kept trying to hunt down impa since she said shes gonna search for a way for us to help zelda, bc i wanted to!! i was eager to help her!
i fully hoped and kinda expected that thered either be some kind of dragon dungeon (think, the water dragon from okami) tho that would be difficult since you can get items from her so i ended up thinking before going into the end thered be a mission with impa (or at least given to you from her) where she found answers in ancient scripts (that she told you she would look through) and that you need to find a special lil thing that will help zelda undragonfy, like some sort of ultra secret forbidden enigma stone able to reverse dragon transformations kinda deal (golden opportunity to make you go and talk to the yiga bc they might know or even own some ancient texts) that youd keep in your inventory until the very end and after you kill dragondorf (pretty mortal for becoming an immortal dragon huh) you take it out and use it, undragonfying zelda and ending in a similar epic falling and paralel to the beginning way
... and instead impa stays in the house and only has a few repeating dialog boxes and does nothing and you cant do anything bc in the end you just get randomly teleported (and stripped of your clothing AGAIN) into some weird ethereal plane somehow?? with the ghost of long ass dead sonia and apparently not as gone as i thought rauru (seriously i felt sad when he went poof at the end of the tutorial but i guess i shouldnt have) awkwardly blasting dragon zelda with some magic tm and its all reversed no problem (heck me for caring i guess) turns out helping her was killing an evil guy we never really knew and mineru just kinda says lol its bc time and light magic i guess lol as an explanation
like i really wanted to go and help zelda! i was motivated to do it and spent HOURS trying to find impa again but i wasnt allowed to do anything bc zelda gets saved by some deus ex machina bs in the end anyway, what a fool i was, of course killing the evil guy is the solution to everything >:( (and no i dont care if its meant as in uwu sonia and rauru wanted to help one last time uwu bc it doesnt change how unsatisfying it was to watch it all just kinda happen)
--point two is just how much totk feels like its trying to REPLACE botw instead of being a sequel, its not building on anything of it its ripping out the fundation and building its own thing in its place, like i was so excited to see what happened to the titans, and all the sheikah tech what they mabe had done in all that time now that theres a tech enthusiastic girl as the head of the monarchy, maybe even find out more about them and instead its just all ... gone with not explanation? theres isnt even a LAME explanation, its just gone?? you never find out what the ancient energy actually was, and why there were concentrations of it in the regions with the ancient furnace (well heck it didnt even have anything to do with ganondorf actualyl bc that would have been too interesting) bc that was so intrigueing?? like yeah where DID it come from and why is it there ?? and oh suddendly hey look theres an even MORE ancient and even MORE advanced civilization thats way COOLER and BETTER than the ancient sheikah now, they also built stuff everywhere and have been here ALL ALONG cant you see its everywhere!! and its the only thing everyone cares about all of the sudden, all evdidence of the ancient sheikah tech was scraped of the earth so there literally only being some guardian parts on top of the hateno lab feels like an oversight now bc everything lese was to thourohgly wiped of the map- for no reason even?? like im totalls fine with it being useless and not working anymore but .... why remove it like it was wiped from history?? and then they have the gall to mention the happenings of botw like, twice in the entire game but still just give you the most basic summary of it mentioned on a sidenote with again not even a hint what happened to all of it
wouldnt there have been the golden opportunity to use it to access the new parts and map points that changed?? like a shrine thats fallen into the underground, an access to caves and the underground in the broken and collapsed elevator tube of a sheikah srhine?? maybe even a broken interior of an old shrine, like the room you get put into with the puzzle and where the monk once were broken and half overgrown in the udnerground? some left over construction site where you can see oh thats how the ancient sheikah got all that tech underground, bc they all had access to it and built it there to then rise up when its needed? maybe even making use of the old sonau sites since they frequnetly built their srhines within those ruins?? that the ancient sheikah found em and put the ruins to use? to research it and built their own stuff from it? it wouldnt have to have any focus, literally just part of the enviroment even
really everything totk does is like -forget botw ever happend, look how much cooler and better i am, who cares about sheikah stuff sonau are the new cool guys that came out of nowhere but now apparently have been everywhere all along actually-
i LOVE botw and with it feeling much more like its attempting to replace botw instead of building its story and world further every reference to botw i found felt like a slap in the face instead, oh look where the shrine of life used to be isnt even a hint left of sheikah tech somehow, and also right under it is the lake of healing filled with sonau structure bc ACTUALLY they were here FIRST bc they are so cool omg you guys
dare i say it feel a little like they wanted to make an entirely different version of botw basically, but wanted to reuse the map and models so they just said yeah uhhhh its totally a sequel yeah yeha that makes sense, its not erasing botw and doing essentiall the same thing again but bigger cooler and better (tm) its just uuh a ...sequel ye.

Tierlist of the Twilight Princess costumes from Hyrule Warriors Legends.
Costumes and explanations below the cut.
Tumblr media
While Warriors did get a costume based on Twi (which I will show later), his normal costume for the Twilight adventure map seems to be based on the rare chu jelly powerup. While I don't hate the gold on Warriors, I think it could have been done better. It's not great, but it's far from terrible.
Tumblr media
I think Impa's design from Skyward Sword might be my favorite one, and that version herself is my second favorite (only behind the one from Ocarina of Time). So I obviously love this look for the Hyrule Warriors version of Impa. The dark blue clothes look perfect with the red and orange highlights and her pale blond hair.
Tumblr media
I think that Lana's outfit is based on Warriors', kind of like Cia's Masterquest outfit. The multiple greens work well together and especially with the blue cloak and her hair. Solid design.
Tumblr media
I'm 90% sure that this Sheik costume is based on the concept art for her scrapped appearance in Twilight Princess. If that's the case, then that's really cool. As for the costume itself, it's good, but nothing too special.
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure that this costume is what made the Zelda team make Flower's main outfit in Breath of the Wild blue, because damn does Valor look awesome. The slightly silvery metal that her armor looks to be made of compliments this cooler colored dress.
Tumblr media
Holy sweet flowers of Hell in a handbasket. I love this coloration for Ganondorf! The black metal and cloth of his armor. The gold trim. The orange hair and red crown. Gods, I love it!
Tumblr media
Even though the changes made to Darunia's appearance in his costume aren't as drastic as some of the others, I actually like it quite a bit. The face and body paints look really nice and blend well with his subtly paler skin. He also looks really cool with that white mane.
Tumblr media
Ruto's Twilight map outfit appears to be based on Rutella. I find it pretty similar to her Great Sea outfit being based on Laruto, partly because it's thematically appropriate and partly because she looks really good. She's very pretty in ponk.
Tumblr media
Agitha has apparently evolved from normal goth to pastel goth. I can respect that, and she looks really good. Not much else to say.
Tumblr media
Midna's costume gives off vibes of shadow turning to light, which I think fits very well for her, both in terms of theme and aesthetic. The cyan markings being turned gold and the visible paler stone of the Fused Shadow just have this aura of light, but at the same time, she still retains her distinctly shadowy beauty. This is one costume begging for an artistic rendition, and I would be happy to do so.
Tumblr media
Apparently for this costume, Midna decided to revive Zant's spirit for the sole purpose of stabbing him to death again. Okay, jokes aside, I really love the phantom Zant inspired costume. The colors and slight translucency are already some of my favorite traits for design just in general. Also his scimitars also being affected by this change is the cherry on top and looks cool as hell.
Tumblr media
Fi's Light Spirit outfit is easily one of the most beautiful out of the Twilight Princess themed outfits. It might also be the case that this is what she would look like after the Master Sword is infused with the two Sols, which I think is a cool idea. Also, I remember seeing an artist joke about her looking like a lemon meringue pie with this outfit, so that gives her a few bonus points.
Tumblr media
Another outfit inspired from another game, Ghirahim takes on the appearance he had in his Fire Sanctuary boss fight. I think the black on his arms look pretty cool and I appreciate the reference. There probably could have been another reference made with this one, maybe one to Twilight Princess, but I like this one for what it is.
Tumblr media
With this costume, Lana and Cia can dress as each other for Halloween. And she looks really good. I'm a bit disappointed that her hair wasn't changed to blue, but the cool colors of her clothes make up for the lost potential.
Tumblr media
Volga's costume is suitably goth for Twilight Princess, and it looks awesome on him. Like with Ganondorf's, the gold lining of the armor adds a lot to this outfit. It's simple, but it's very well executed
Tumblr media
I think this is probably my favorite of Wizzro's costumes, maybe even better than his normal one. It's obviously inspired by the Twilight Princess poes, which are already cool looking, so not only does the costume thematically fit, but it slaps harder than he does. I think his eye being blue is my favorite detail, but the pale robes looking slightly singed around the edges is a close second.
Bonus: Also reviewing the other character-based costumes because the tierlist doesn't have options for them
Tumblr media
I've probably made it no secret that the Twilight Princess incarnation of Link is easily my favorite. So I was obviously going to like the costume based on him. While Warriors does lack the kindness in his eyes that Twi has, I still love this costume and regularly use it while pretending to play as Twi. S tier.
Tumblr media
I think the postman uniform is a joke costume. I did chuckle a bit when I first saw it, but it's nothing to write home about (pun not intended). C tier.
Tumblr media
I was fully prepared to hate the Cassiopeia inspired outfit for Valor on principle alone. But I actually think it's pretty nice. I like the dress, hair and crown, and Valor looks much warmer and kinder than Cassiopeia ever could. A tier.
Tumblr media
I never got too attached to Ilia as a character when I played Twilight Princess, so I don't have any strong feelings about the outfit for Valor based on her. I do, however, think the idea of the town horse girl beating up monsters to be funny, so that's worth something. B tier.
Tumblr media
Finally, the Era of Twilight armor for Ganondorf. This was already one of my favorite designs for the character, so I'm obviously going to like it here. S tier.

Hey out of curiosity, I know most of the main cast in CTB is pulled from either Legend of Zelda game canons (Princess Zelda, Lana, Ganondorf in name, etc) or Linked Universe, but out of your original characters (especially Kat, Marigold, and the various Knights of Hyrule), did u give any of them symbolic or referential names?
Oh boy do I got the fun post for you:
Lincoln is straight up my Linksona. Just think of him as another version of the character Link
Marigold is supposed to be the typical red-headed love interest for a Link-like character; even her name is meant to fit right in with characters like Malon, Marin, and Midna.
Warriors's last name was originally going to be Warton, but I changed it to Walton when I learned that it meant "noble."
Meemaw is a reference to the Bertolt Brecht character Mother Courage (from his play Mother Courage and Her Children; I had just finished reading it for a seminar class when CTB first came to me). The characters even share a first name: Anna
Similarly, Kat is based off of Mother Courage's daughter, Kattrin; a famously silent-due-to-truama character
Kat's siblings also share names and fates with Mother Courage's sons: Eli is Eilif, and Cheddar is Swiss Cheese (yes, that's his real name)
Orlanda was named for Virginia Woolf's famous character Orlando; originally, I was going to have Orlanda be nonbinary, but changed my mind when I realized it wouldn't be a good idea to make your sacrificial character your nonbinary representation.
Shigeo's name was originally just going to be Shig, as a reference to Shigeru Miyamoto, but I changed it when I started to rewatch Mob Psycho 100. Shigeo is meant to be a homage to a common original character type I kept reading in Warriors-centric fics: the young Sheikah guy for Warriors to have a romance with. However, Shigeo was never envisioned with a romantic relationship in mind. He was always meant to be this cool, older guy type. However, I did almost have Warriors have a crush on him, then deleted that concept for space.
Gaudin was named after a French criminal for no reason. Genuinely, I just liked the name.
Anders was originally going to be named Betolt in honor of Brecht, but that felt heavy handed.
Jakucho is just meant to be the old woman version of the general Impa character to match the badass young woman version that is actually in Hyrule Warriors. Her name means "silent, lonely listening." I liked how it related to her role as Warriors's mentor/therapist.
Impa's real name, Chiyo, means "thousand generations, thousand worlds." I like how it related to the idea that she's always wanted to assume the same role as her ancestors.
I originally picked their surname Miyashita because the site I was on said it translated to something like "temple below the earth," which would reference the Kakariko Well. Checking now, it actually means "(one who lives) below the shrine," which makes way more sense in retrospect.
Ayane has no special name meaning, but her character... you do realize she's just Mask, right?
General Whitestone's name came from me asking myself what would a highly suspicious white guy in charge be called?
The name Nephus translates to "a God's son who will also become a God." Do I mean that literally? Who knows. At the very least, I wanted a snappy, but impressive-sounding name.
Vasileios means "royal or kingly". His middle name, Orionides, implies that he's the son of a great hunter.
Icarius's name is meant to be reminiscent to that of Icaurs, the famous mythological figure.
Philo means "lover or friend." A very cute name for a not-so-cute boy.
You probably have realized that the House of Nephus characters are heavily Greek/Roman coded. Originally, they were going to be Russian coded, but then the line about Faovaria being unable to attack some other kingdom due to their harsh winters would have fallen into question.
Faovaria's symbol being an octopus is a reference to how the octopuses symbolized immortality in ancient Greece.
Both of those were super off-topic. Sorry lol
I'll end with a fun fact you shouldn't look too deep into: the empire name Faovaria is derived from Farore. This was due to a concept I changed my mind about. Genuinely, it's not relevant anymore. Do not incorporate it into your theories, or something.

Tears of the Kingdom is a year old now, and I keep seeing posts about it, about how there are already fond memories, of how people want the special merch that's come out...
...meanwhile I'm still here thinking of how I'd do a fix-it fic to rectify that mess of a plot. I did it for Twilight Princess (which I am still turning into final drafts), but TP can't hold a candle to Tears of the Kingdom, which is a sequel that ignored most of the canon from the first game. I may have posted this somewhere already, but I ought to post it again in case I forget everything. I apologize if I posted this before.
First fix: Link and Zelda are a couple, a would-be-married-if-Hateno-had-common-law couple, a sexually active couple to the point where Zelda had to take steps to avoid having children too early.
Second fix: Rauru, Sonya and Ganondorf are from an alternative Hyrule where Hylia never came to help the humans, so their population was absolutely decimated by the demon tribe, and they were saved from extinction by the Zonai (hence the shrines where Rauru sealed demons). Zelda is not descended from Rauru and Sonya any more than the other Hylians, because thousands of years is a long ass time to trace bloodlines. There's a lot of multiverse BS mixed in with the time travel BS. The reason nobody knows who Link is, is because Link does not exist in this alternative Hyrule. That Link died 100 years ago, the Shrine of Resurrection was never discovered, and this Zelda eventually sealed Calamity Ganon by herself.
Third fix: ...except, some people do know Link, and remember his timeline. It's two parallel universes mashed together, so people like Sidon, the Deku Tree and Purah remember it, but others do not. Something happened to the Zelda of this universe, which is why people are looking for her. Meanwhile, the alternative universe characters do not know some familiar characters like Kass.
Fourth fix: Link's hand talks, and Rauru is an annoying companion. Imagine having a king in your hand, giving unwanted advice all the time. At least Fi was polite about it. Rauru does not realize who Link is at first, and then is baffled by the changes to the world.
Fifth fix: the Master Sword itself tells Link to plunk it in that temporal whatsahoosit in the Temple of Time, thinking it would fix it, and bang boom it zips back into time. Meanwhile, the Sheikah slate always stays with Link, and gets corrupted and broken by Ganondorf's gross purple haze.
Sixth fix: There are no Dragon Tears littered around the world that have been there for thousands of years. There are two: the one you first encounter with Impa, which gives a vague point of view of Ganondorf and his Gerudo army attacking Hyrule (the memories are first-person), and then the second one where Link sees a bunch of images from the past and Zelda's dragonification, all from her point of view. He knows it's her because he hears her speaking and sees her hands. They are shed at two moments in the game where Link gets close enough to the Light Dragon to see that it's not like Dinraal, Naydra or Farosh.
Seventh fix: The three dragons of the golden goddesses are not from the alternative Hyrule, and think everything is messed up. They insist that the Zonai ruins Link keeps finding are nothing like the Zonai they know. They're the same race, but the technology is completely different, like something advanced the Zonai rapidly in the one timeline.
Eighth fix: The Sheikah tech is there mixed in with Zonai ruins. It confuses the fuck out of both universes. For some reason, the Sheikah stuff does not work anymore, which confounds the hell out of Purah and Robbie.
Ninth fix: Some of the Sheikah are from either universe, but all of the Yiga are from Link's universe.
Tenth fix: The ancient sage spirits are not still around, and they do not explain what happened in the past (Rauru does). We just get new sages in the form of the New Champions, and the Spirit Stones (not Secret Stones, fuck that name) choose them. The new sages use their new powers to help Link get through the mass of Malice (not Gloom!) that blocks him from getting to Ganondorf.
Eleventh fix: Link and Zelda aren't fixed by the Recall spell, because that's kind of out of left field and Sonya's spirit is long gone anyway (and I do not like using game mechanics as plot points). They're fixed by Link's innate time magic, the time magic he always had as his Champion's Power, and they are returned to their proper timeline (as well as the alt Zelda) as well. This is all done with some help from the Spirit Stone of Time, but also due to the Triforce of Courage, which awakens. And that brings us to the final point...
Final fix: the Triforce is in this story. You can't tell me that the crest of the Hyrulean Kingdom survived all this time along with the Hyrule dynasty, yet nobody understands it's symbolism. You can't tell me that Zelda's "sacred power" wasn't just the Triforce of Wisdom. Sorry, I don't buy it.

Eva's epic Zelda therory omgggg
OKAY SO IM KINDA SLEEP DEPRIVED AND ITS A BIT LATE AND IM HUNGRY ALSO IVE LEGIT NEVER DONE THIS BUT HERE WEEE GOOO
Why I think TotK's past happens BEFORE Skyward Sword
Okay so let's get Goddess Hylia out of the way. I don't believe she's a Goddess in the sense that she was all powerful blah blah blah
Because, really, what did she do ?
Elevate the islands -> Mineru did that. Even with more and bigger islands so... Hylia isn't special
Light and sealing powers -> Rauru and Sonia has light powers too
Built robots -> Which race seems to be extremely skilled in building constructs and give them a near human artificial intelligence ?
Reincarnation -> Spirit power. If Mineru could transfer her soul to a fake body, I don't think it's far fetched that someone with a similar power could voluntarily reincarnate themselves at the cost of their memories (weird, that reminds me of another ritual)
So Hylia was probably a VERY powerful priestess, maybe even a Zonai that made her elevate to the state of a Goddess, and for the reason she wouldn't use the Triforce, Zonais are descendants of the Gods, making them Gods in some way, so technically she would still be forbidden of using it
Okay with that out of the way:
The Master Sword. There is no Master Sword during Rauru's time. If it did exist I THINK Mineru would be aware. But she seems surprised of its existence (I am basing myself on the French version of the game in which she says "It wounded him you say? When our combined powers weren't enough..." and not the trash garbage English version. Sorry English speakers). Anyway, the Master Sword didn't exist, even Ganondorf seemed to be surprised that it would exist.
And also, the sword Hylia created technically wasn't super extraordinary. The sword Hylia left behind is a blade built to be the perfect VESSEL for Divine Power. (Link in SwS had to bathe the blade in the flames of the Golden Goddesses before getting a final blessing of Light, in the start of SwS, the Master Sword really isn't that great, hell it's even mocked for its short blade)
And so I believe Demise is a sort of Calamity situation. Because if the TotK Ganondorf is supposed to come AFTER how could he destroy the Master Sword so easily ?
"Oh but Eva the Master Sword was weakened !" Shut up Billy, the Great Deku Tree specifies that the Master Sword can regenerate and recover the current maximum stength it has and in the memory in which Link gets it back he confirms that the sword is ready to be taken again. It's not the Master Sword that got weakened. It's Ganondorf that was overly powerful.
Back to Skyward Sword, if Hyrule didn't exist, explain Impa, explain the ruins we find. The Temple of Time bears a strange ressemblance to the Ancient Temple in BotW/TotK
"But Eva ! The placement makes no sense !" since when is LoZ making sense with geographical placements.
As to explain why Ganondorf appear in OoT, TP, WW etc... I believe this is a reincarnation of THE Ganondorf. Considered he was raised by Koume and Kotake, evil witches, I believe that when the 100 years mark came for the Gerudos, they made some sort of pact or ritual so that Ganondorf's soul could reincarnate. Because Rauru only managed to seal his body, his soul could still exist (Calamity Ganon) so what if he experimented? He first created a Demon, Demise, except he realized that while it gives him a lot of power, this also makes him vulnerable to other things Then he reincarnated in the flesh, but it also ended up getting killed So in Calamity form he decides to use his raw soul and build himself a body, which failed BUT weakened the seal enough for his true body to be freed. That's the theory and headcanon I keep. Anyway this is all over the place and I probably forgot a lot of details but here's my theory, if you have questions, my asks are open !

I wouldnā€™t write this fic, butā€¦
I have this idea for a loz fanfic that takes place prior to Rauru and Sonia establishing the kingdom of Hyrule, back when the zonai first descended from the heavens.
Because thereā€™s no Hyrule yet, Zelda isnā€™t a princess, but she is a priestess, blessed with hearing Hyliaā€™s voice, and that makes her special within the village. She has prophetic dreams that their world will soon be visited by a god-like civilization, and her words ignite both excitement and anxiety amongst the various Hylian settlements.
Link is still there. Heā€™s a warrior, the most talented among his peers, and granted the privilege of being Zeldaā€™s chosen champion. They also happen to be childhood friends, so their relationship is kinda inspired by Skyward Sword.
Impa is also there. The Sheikah tribe exists to protect the divine priestess herself, rather than the royal family. Impa is forever by Zeldaā€™s side, as a bodyguard and friend. Though Impa has her usual severe disposition, her devotion is not to Zelda as the priestess, but as her closest companion.
Though, while Link and Impa are both friends with Zelda, their relationship is a little strained. Linkā€™s goblin antics and leap-without-looking approach to life frequently leaves Impa doubting his ability to keep Zelda safe. And while generally Link bears her criticism without comment, at times he will solemnly thank her for her invaluable insight, and Impa can never tell if heā€™s being sincere or sarcastic.
When the zonai come, they are led by a king, whose sole daughter is Midna. Like all zonai, she has a distinctly draconic appearance, and she also happens to be the most skilled practitioner of magic within her tribe. However, Midna is also her usual mischievous self. She quickly makes it her mission to tease Link at every given opportunity.
The story would have Link/Midna and Zelda/Impa, with queerplatonic Link & Zelda.
Other possible characters might include incarnations of Groose/Gonzo, Medli/Mipha, Zant/Kohga, Navi/Ilia, Sidon, Revali, Riju, Yunobo, and, of course, Beedle.
Idk what role Ganondorf would play, if any. I think it would be neat to include a male Gerudo prince who isnā€™t evil, for once. (Maybe the Groose/Gonzo incarnation can take this role?) And maybe Ganondorf can be one of the zonai? That would be interesting, because then the arrival of the zonai would lead to disaster, potentially causing a rift between the Hylians and the zonai.
(Perhaps Ganondorfā€™s zonai incarnation is the leader of the interlopers that attempted to steal the triforce, thus having their tribe banished to the Twilight Realm? Because until stated otherwise, I will continue to believe that the zonai are the ancestors of the Twili.)
Anyway, yeah. I donā€™t want to write this, but I cannot get this idea out of my head.

More Hyrule Warriors thoughts because Iā€™m still in the hole
Iā€™m now at the point in the first two adventure maps where the only things left to do are insane boss rushes and Iā€™ve realized now that I only beat the legend mode end bosses out of luck. I have no idea how either Ganon fight actually works. Iā€™ll look up a tutorial sometime but not right now.
In the meantime I started the first normal rank map. Itā€™s annoying. Fuck off with your ā€œno healā€ challenges I SPENT SO MUCH TIME GETTING ALL THOSE ILLUSTRATIONS TO GET BETTER POTIONS AND YOU TAKE THEM AWAY??? Iā€™m gonna eat you.
Also in those maps LEVELING IP FIESNT EVEN HEAL YOU Iā€™m going to make someone TASTE THEIR OWN LUNGS
I have like 5 fairies but I only use the first one I got cause she has an ability that instantly revives you if you die and none of the others have anything even close to that good so far. Plus sheā€™s the one wearing the Ghirahim cosplay.
I havenā€™t changed any of the default names of the fairies cause it feels Weird. Like ā€œhi I just saved your life now serve me eternally also your name is now Lorraineā€
One of my fairies is named Chomp :) I love her. Shes useless, but I love her
I havenā€™t gotten many hats. It bugs me cause none look good with the Ghirahim cosplay. Why canā€™t I just get like, a red headband or something???? Why did I have to get a random skull???
Iā€™ve finally gotten a huge string of weapon upgrades so a lot of characters are useful for the first time in the entire game and Iā€™m having SO MUCH FUN WITH IT
Specifically Iā€™m really liking Twili Midna! I didnā€™t get her moves at first but Iā€™ve started to really vibe with it now that she has some decent damage output (also that X special is OBSCENE just annihilate an entire room no biggie)
I have Toon Link in his blue lobster shirt, all is right with the world :)
I found out you can go over level 100. I thought I was doing okay with keeping the gang leveled up (I go in 5 level jumps where Iā€™ll sell a shit ton of weapons to get rich then level the entire roster up at once) having everyone at a minimum of 40, but it turns out I was wrong and now Link is level 102 and I donā€™t know how to plan for this future the disparity is so much larger than I anticipated (I stopped playing as him much but I keep finding maps that require him)
So right now Iā€™m maining Sheik at like 65 or something, then once they hit like 90 Iā€™ll probably go to Ganondorf or Impa (I finally figured out how to play her giant blade god bless)
Primarily right now Iā€™m jumping between going back to maps I didnā€™t get a-rank on and replaying them and going through free mode getting every stage done on hard + getting skulltulas I abandoned during legend mode, it has actually gotten me pretty good levels
I cannot however finish the level to upgrade Volgaā€™s weapon, I need to A-rank a goddamn full level with a close-quarters imprisoned fight at the end like BLOCKING DIESNT DO SHIT WHEN ITS ACTUALLY EATING ME! IM IN ITS MOUTH THERES NOWHERE TO RUN IM IN A CAVE

Any like. Special sexuality headcanons for the crew? (I am running out of questions here help)
Personally I hc Rav as bi
Tbh, for most of them I donā€™t lol. So Iā€™ll be thinking up of some right now for the others
Ravio - Heā€™s also bi to me, and I also hc him as Acespec. Tbh itā€™s mostly because the flagā€™s purple and heā€™s purple. Purpleā€™s my favorite color.
Tetra - Uhhh sheā€™s either straight or a lesbian based on how I feel that day. Honestly itā€™s a coin flip, I canā€™t choose lol. Biflux. Pretty sure thatā€™s a term
HW/Captain Link - Heā€™s somewhere on the aro spectrum, maybe heā€™s akoiromantic. Which is when you feel romantic feelings for someone until itā€™s reciprocated, then those feelings basically vanish. But Iā€™ll just say heā€™s arospec, because the flag is green and heā€™s green. Iā€™m very creative.
Wind/Tune - Blue.
Spirit - Yeah heā€™s straight.
Time/Mask - Duraromantic pansexual. Duraromantic means that someone rarely experiences romantic feelings, but when they do it lasts for a long time. He had a crush on his Zelda for far longer than he liked lamo.
HW Zelda - Bisexual. You see, the flag has both blue and pink, like how as Sheik sheā€™s blue and as Zelda sheā€™s pink and-
ST Zelda/Phantom - Straight, just like her Link. You see the straight slag is both blue and pink like how Spirit is blue and Phantom is pink and-
Impa - uhhh aroace. Yeah. Maybe a lesbian. Both.
Marin - Pansexual. I think. Anyways the flag is pink, yellow, and blue, and sheā€™s-
Medli - idk. Bird ig
Ruto - I donā€™t think she even knows what romance is, or at least never truly felt any romantic feelings towards Time. But she clearly does want to have a romantic relationship, so I guess sheā€™s cupioromantic now. So uh, hereā€™s a version of the flag thatā€™s color picked from her Great Seaā€™s outfit
Tumblr media
Lana(and Cia ig) - Forgot about her for a moment ha. Sheā€™s bisexual but mostly has a preference for men.
Linkle - Aromantic lesbian. Sheā€™s green and orange. Do you know what flag has orange in it
Agitha - idk sheā€™s 10. I had barely any idea what I was when I was that age, nor did I really care ngl, so yeah. Idk, and neither does she.
Darunia - I feel sad that I have no thoughts about him. Heā€™s just some guy, so I guess heā€™s straight? No thoughts.
Minda - Bisexual.
King Daphnes - Realistically, heā€™s straight. But I think it would be funny if he was a raging homosexual. Oh, and thereā€™s this drag feather pride flag, created in 1999, and idk, the vibes fit. Also itā€™s red and gold and you know
Skull Kid - uh. Idk thatā€™s a creature(positive) he can be anything. Be free king šŸ‘‘
Wizzaro - Creature(negative).
Volga - Homosexual.
Ganondorf - Apothisexual(and apothiromantic). Basically itā€™s someone who is asexual(and also aromantic in his case) and is repulsed by sex(and also romance in his case). The apothisexual flag has red and black
Yuga - Iā€™d say heā€™s pansexual ig. I support pan rights and wrongs. But not his
Fi + Ghirahim - They are definitely asexual. Aromantic? Maybe.
And thatā€™s it! Boy was that a lot of guys. I sure hope I didnā€™t miss anybody-
Tumblr media
I SAID I SURE HOPE I DIDNTā€™ MISS ANYBODY-
Tumblr media
((((ļ¼›ļ¾ŸŠ”ļ¾Ÿ)))))))

For the fic asks, 3, 17, 34 šŸ‘€
Heyy thanks for the asks!!
3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?
So I replied to this here already, but I had a thought since and. I actually. Made a bingo. Once.
Here is is.
Tumblr media
it is still extremely and shamefully relevant. u_u
(I would just replace/appendum "Imperialism" to the "probably Capitalism's fault", but HEY both are often interconnected so vOv)
17. What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?
Hmmmm.... I don't know what counts? I'm generally not sure what is an AU and what is "you twisted canon's neck to fit the Vision". I also don't think my tastes are so esoteric that nobody else would appreciate them? I guess the things I'd love to see is, TLOZ-wise, is an AU where Impa and Ganondorf team up, one where Ganondorf and Tetra team up... I am also very open to modern era AUs if they have a bite to them, and exemplify canon dynamics in a different way? I generally won't go looking for AUs on my own, so I'm not super knowledgeable in what actually exists haha
34. What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?
So... That's a good question, because how do you even compartimentalize what counts as real life inspiration and what doesn't? I'd say everything I write is inspired by reality, and there are some fics (*erm* halfway home) which are basically me splattering my insides on the sidewalk in a way that can get pretty personal, but I suppose everything is influenced by everything? There are uhhh motifs that can be found in my stories that might be a bit revelatory and/or obsessive, but while I'm not always great at branching out of the Strong Core of Usual Bullshit, I try to approach the characters with empathy, figuring stuff out about myself/my own understanding of the world the closer I reach for them.
Thanks again for the asks!! hope it was somewhat answered appropriately

Note
can i hear about your different perspective on sheik pretty pls šŸ‘€
Of course!
Okay so. Please bear with me because there's a lot of nebulous Sheikah magic involved but the gist of it is that Sheik and Zelda (at least in Ocarina of Time) are two completely seperate people.
Before I get into it, to anyone reading, this is not an attack on other people's interpretations of Sheik and OoT Zelda. Those other takes are completely 100% valid because, at the end of the day, they're fictional characters and can be headcanoned however the heck you want. All I ask is that you kindly respect my opinion, and if you don't like it, that's okay! You don't have to agree with it and are 10000% free to continue enjoying your own.
I am gonna put a cutoff so that if people think it might upset them they don't have to read it, but if you'll be fine, then please continue below!
The main driving force behind this is to examine how it would affect Zelda's mental state later in life, but basically:
Sheik and Zelda are two completely different people. The next few notes are taken directly from my google doc explaining my thought process. A lot of this is taken from the OoT Manga, and then expanded.
SO.
Sheik.
Yes.
He is NOT Zelda.
7 years ago, when Zelda and Impa escaped Ganondorfā€™s clutches for the first time, the young princess realized that the Evil Kingā€™s minions would never stop hunting her and her handmaid. So she asked Impa to hide her- in any way possible.
Impa was reluctant, but she knew it would be better for Zelda to go into hiding willingly than be forced to. So, using ancient Sheikah magic, she sealed the princess away in a special portion of the Sacred Realm, transferring her memories into the body of a young Sheikah boy.
But this is important to note- Sheik was an ENTIRELY different entity from the princess. He was a creation of Impaā€™s magic, destined to fade away when the time came for Zelda to awaken. Zeldaā€™s memories remained in him so he could help the hero, but they were modified so that it was as if Sheik was a third-person bystander- Impaā€™s orphaned nephew and Zeldaā€™s closest friend, inseparable from her and watching her at all times, always conveniently hidden away so that these modifications wouldnā€™t conflict with the Heroā€™s memories when he awakened from his slumber.Ā
Speaking of memories, Sheik DID remember Zelda being sealed away, but this memory was HIGHLY modified so that the sealing was all that remained with him. He didnā€™t remember Zeldaā€™s memories being transferred to him, or the fact that Impa cried for two days afterwards.Ā
ANYWAY. Moving onā€¦
After Ganonā€™s hostile takeover, Impa and her young nephew fled to Impaā€™s hometown of Kakariko village, where Impa trained him in espionage, assassination, and ancient Sheikah martial arts in secret. To the outside world, however, Sheik was simply the mysterious boy who helped with trading between the town and the nearby Lon Lon Ranch. But by the time he's 17, Impa's trained him become an official Sheikah Ninja.
He manages to get into Ganondorf's ranks and becomes a double agent; in reality, his goal is to give aid to the Hero of Time that the princess loved so much.
So when Link awakens, Sheik is there.Ā
When Link travels, Sheik accompanies him in the shadows.
By the time the Hero has completed the Water Temple, he and his Sheikah advisor have become best friends. Inseparable, bound by their quest to help the Princess, and eventually by other things too. (It helps that Malon is a mutual friend.)
But when all the temples have been freedā€¦
When Link travels back to the Temple of Timeā€¦
When the time comes for the Princess to awakenā€¦
Sheik ceases to exist.
Zelda remembers him, but much like her modified memories, she remembers the events of the past seven years as if she were a third-person bystander.
She remembers Sheik, but more like he was her brother than like she was him. More importantly, she MISSES Sheik. He saved her life, kept her safe for seven years, allowed her to make connections and friendships she wouldnā€™t have made otherwise.
So yeah, that's the gist of it. She also eventually names her son Sheik, because of the aforementioned reasons. I've just worried I couldn't ever post this for fear of getting attacked for it. But yeah, that's my take on Sheik. If y'all've got any questions about him or any other headcanons of mine, feel free to drop 'em off in my inbox!

oh yeah iā€™ve got a bunch of loz aus that i havenā€™t really talked about. a few of them are listed and slightly explained in this poll and explanation reblog but i havenā€™t gone out of my way to actually list the aus i have and really explain them. so thatā€™s what this post is for. here are some... decently simple explanations of my major aus and what they're generally about
i have two kinds of aus: original aus (loz aus that are set in their own kinds of worlds with their own stories and twists on character roles) and then crossover aus (we all know how this works i just mash loz and a thing i like together)
original aus: (many currently dont have actual titles, so the titles will often just be concept shorthand)
in the court of the crimson king/crimson king au: probably the most developed and closest to being written out. it's got one of the longer premises; set in a industrial-esque hyrule city, following linebeck as the main character, as the adoptive older brother of link and aryll, living with them and their grandmother as the only one able to reliably make money to pay for rent and food, leaving every other week to do jobs, but he moonlights as the 'demon of the gray moon', a masked persona he'd created as a child that had long since become a city-wide urban legend, anonymously taking unsavory jobs from whomever can contact him and offer pay, often working directly for bellum, a childhood friend, the one who enabled and trained him to become the demon, and one of five anonymous leaders of the city. linebeck effectively lives a double life, and tries to stay out of too much trouble to avoid drawing attention to himself or making his adoptive family worry, but he gets dragged into more and more danger as bellum becomes curious about the identities of the city's other leaders, and linebeck falls in love with a man named ganondorf, suspected to be one of those other city leaders. ive got a few posts related to it already: this one being another vague concept descriptor, this one being an actual scene i have written out.
'gimmick' au: i cannot explain the gimmick without spoiling the au. put simply, in this au, hyrule as a whole has been at war for ten years, every race and kingdom taking sides in a conflict that seems to be going nowhere. link joined the hylian army young, and has made his way up the ranks to become trusted by queen zelda herself, and things in the war take an interesting turn as he and zelda discover a new faction, unaligned with any particular kingdom and with unknown motives, and zelda decides to set out to the different parts of hyrule, link and a chosen group of trusted allies in tow, intending to try negotiation one more time before things take a turn for the worse.
sci-fi/space au: the fun one that probably would need to be done in a visual medium. it takes place in a solar system of a few planets, link growing up on the planet hyrule and occasionally traveling to the others as a knight specializing in investigating and taking down dangerous bounty hunters, working for zelda as a friend. he and zelda uncover a plot by the yiga clan to accumulate a number of highly dangerous research and weapons held by each species as they aim to resurrect a demon to wreck havoc on the solar system- the b plot being about the top bounty hunters in the solar system screwing around, eventually colliding with link and zelda's a plot as it begins to involve them.
murder mystery(?) au: one of the older ones, maybe one of the oldest that i still stick with. this might actually be one of the first ones i tried writing. the plot begins when zelda returns to hyrule city years after her father- the former mayor- was murdered, finding that he has been replaced by ganondorf and that while things seem fine enough on the surface, random and organized crime run the show, and she begins a private detective agency as 'sheik', a masked young man, and with the help of impa, and old friend and confidant, she moonlights as sheik and uses her daytime identity as zelda to help chip away at some of the city's biggest problems and finds herself drawn into a long string of murders that appear to be anything but random violence.
ruined hyrule 1: i have two auā€™s with the premise of hyrule being ruined. neither of them have more specific names yet. this one begins with the majority of greater hyrule's population having long since locked themselves in hyrule castle town in order to escape the increasingly dangerous wildlife. zelda, a young girl at the beginning, becomes curious about what lies beyond the city walls, and makes friends with many other children within this sheltered hyrule, and as they grow up together, aim to eventually venture out into the wilderness to see what may have caused the outside world to become so incredibly hostile.
ruined hyrule 2: the other ruined hyrule. set in a devastated hyrule, roughly ten years after the royal family was killed, link failing to save them or hyrule in the time since. he now resolves to set out and indiscriminately destroy every demon that plagues the ruined hyrule, meeting and bringing along various allies, each of which has been uniquely affected by and have different lived in this altered, dangerous shell of hyrule.
modern (school): i also have two modern aus. this one isnā€™t plot driven, just a concept i have, would work best as little vignettes or something. essentially just the idea of a group of loz characters hanging out together in a modern high school (or college?) setting.
modern: this is the one with an actual plot. follows the general idea of zelda characters living in a modern world only for the typical legends to begin resurfacing and heralding dark events. plot specifics are murky, but that's the general idea.
dark mage: this is the au that where the seas meet the sands takes place in. basically just ganondorf x linebeck shenanigans in this alternate hyrule while actual plot sneaks up on them. named 'dark mage' mostly because the initial idea behind this au was that linebeck would learn magic.
horror au: doesn't have the best name, and it's ended up just being a personal sandbox for me. constantly changing, with the cast and setting often altering if i find that something isn't working or sticking. it's an au i've considered (and even briefly tried) writing in the past, but it's still too fluid, and writing horror effectively is difficult. it's a fun au, though.
mecha au: spawned because i watched neon genesis evangelion. a lot of this au's basic concepts can be found here: x but the short version is that hyrule is being besiged by massive monsters, but each race has created their own mechs to combat them. link is just a farmer who happens to have a strange knack for being a mech user, so is brought in by zelda as a gamble to bolster their chances, and he is tasked with working with a new and less-than-trustworthy crew to help fight those monsters.
'amnesia link' au: an au that sprang up in about a day and hasn't gotten too far since. basic premise being that three years prior to the story, link and a group of allies has faced off against ganondorf and, despite their best efforts, lost, with link being presumed dead by their enemies. now, link has woken up from his coma, his memories gone and hyrule taken over, and, with guidance, must once again travel across hyrule, aiming to rediscover his allies and try to face ganondorf once more.
A quick list of crossovers: I won't explain these in length, since they can range from having their own plot to just being a fun mental concept. So, the things I have made crossover aus with are:
Warrior Cats
Batman
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Persona 5
Pokemon
(there are other, smaller ones, these are just the ones i consistently pay attention to)
So! These are the majority of my legend of zelda aus, some of which I may write, some of which just exist in my mind for fun, all of which I wouldn't mind talking more about if anyone is curious!
#i had to find an actual list i made to remember most of these tbh#salty talks#salty's loz aus#lmk if any of the colored text on here is hard to read i can change it#for some of the duplicate name aus the colors help me remember which is which but ill change it if it makes it hard to read#this took absolute ages to finish partially bc i dont have much physical evidence of these aus. they live in my mind and my mind only#my favorite little tidbit is that in the space au linebeck is a bounty hunter known for being a really skilled sniper#and i did not. in fact. be inspired by sniper tf2. this au predates my knowing about tf2. space au linebeck is inspired by fuckin#ttgl yoko littner and sao (gags) sinon. this will always be funny to me. space au linebeck is probably one of my favorite au linebecks#fun fact also. counting the crossover aus linebeck plays an antagonistic role at some point in 10 of these aus#also anyways worth reminding that a lot of this shit isnt actually very developed. the murder mystery au does not have a lot of actual plot#most of the developed plot stuff in these aus tends to be directly connected to linebecks role in the story bc a lot of these aus happen to#exist bc one day i was like hm what if linebeck was in (hyperspecific situation that led to the creation of one of these aus)#gimmick au is a really good example of how a linebeck in xyz situation thought can spawn a huge fucking story#but i cant get too specific abt that without spoiling the fucking gimmick and ive already said too much#'dark mage' au is also called that bc i think it was REALLY inspired by me thinking abt linebeck in the fe awakening male dark mage outfit#this has been sitting in my drafts for. so long. and then in two days i slammed all of those out and bam. here we are#the crossover aus list is also a list of 'media that also gave me brainworms and therefore got the honor of meshing with the Big Interest'#im not even a big time batman fan i just saw the 2022 movie and scrolled through an entire blog dedicated to harvey dent#i know so fucking much about harvey dent. why is dc so fucking bad about him#anyways welcome to the bottom of the tags. hope you enjoyed your stay. these r my weird loz aus#post-ph isnt here cuz i dont consider it an au. its something else between ā€˜auā€™ and ā€˜speculative canonā€™

Note
heyyyy your Zelda au/story thing sounds cool you got any interesting facts
okay SO not sure of any interesting facts so Iā€™m just gonna dump all of the information & stuff that I have written/planned out so be warned of the LONG text under the cut
Iā€™ve dubbed this story The Legend of Zelda: The Daughter of Evil but thereā€™s a chance this may change so be warned
So prettty much Zeldaā€™s mom Sonia (I named her Sonia as a reference to totk) is a sheikah who falls in love with Ganondorf. Over time, however, Sonia starts to get scared by Ganon so after Zelda is born, she flees Gerudo Town and goes back to Hyrule. There, she hides the fact that sheā€™s a sheikah in hopes that Ganon wonā€™t be able to find her or Zelda. Sonia asks Impa for help with everything. Impa helps Sonia and teaches Zelda the ways of the sheikah. Eventually (when Zelda is like 2) Sonia falls in love with king Rhoam (sheā€™s a bad bitch who pulled not one but two kings lol). Sonia, Impa, and Zelda move into the castle. Impa continues to train Zelda & no except Sonia knows of this. Eventually, Sonia dies when Zelda is 11 (sad)
Link lives in a little farm on the outskirts of Castle Town. His dad is a florist and his mom is a knight in the royal guard.
Every three months, a ceremony is held where everyone in the kingdom aged 14 or older must go to the temple of time to try and pull out the master sword.Ā  Years ago, a seer prophesized that the holder of the triforce of power would attack hyrule andbring evil. Only the holder of the triforce of wisdom who had special sealing, light powers alongside the holder of the triforce of courage who carries the master sword can banish this evil.Ā  The master sword was found in the temple of time in the lost woods. The king placed guards on the temple to protect it from evil.Ā  Ceremony is held to find the one who holds the triforce of courage and protect & train them to defeat whoever holds the triforce of power.Ā  Only those there to try to pull out the sword & the royal family are permitted in the sanctum with the sword.Ā  Link pulls the Master Sword out on his 14 birthday on accident.Ā  Monsters show up so without thinking he grabs the sword to defend everyone else at the ceremony.Ā  Ends up being taken to the castle to begin training & to be protected.Ā  Zelda and link become quick friends.Ā  Zelda does not yet know she holds the triforce of wisdom.Ā  They spend some time together goofing around the castle.Ā  After being bored of being trapped in the castle for so long, Link and Zelda sneak out to go explore outside of the castle.Ā  They get attacked by monsters not too far from the castle.Ā  Link tries to protect them with teh Master Sword, but heā€™s not well trained with it yet (it takes a lot of energy, more than a normal sword).Ā  As he is about to be struck down, Zelda jumps in to save him and unlocks her power from the triforce (think how botw zelda unlocked her powers when saving link from the guardian).Ā  Impa (who was following them) sees this and tells the king.Ā  The King is upset at them sneaking out, but happy that they found the holder of the triforce of wisdom (especially since itā€™s his kid, lol).Ā  King Rhoam holds a ball to celebrate the finding of Link and Zelda holding pieces of the triforce (and to send a message to any enemies that they are protected by the king of hyrule himself).Ā  Ganondorf sees this and sends monsters and a phantom ganon to attack the ball and kidnap Link & Zelda) .Ā  King Rhoam is killed.Ā  Link & Zelda manage to avoid getting caught or killed but they do get separated.Ā
After the ball, Link wakes up in the temple of time where he first pulled the master sword out. He heads further into the temple and meets the great deku tree. He speaks to the great deku tree and meets Navi as well.
I havenā€™t figured out what happens after this yet but I do know that I want an evil/puppet Zelda fight before the final fight against Ganondorf like the possessed Zelda in twilight Princess or spirit tracks
sldeowhdgejdbenfidjd anyways sorry this is long and messy and filled with spelling errors but I hope you like hearing about my little story!!!
if you have any questions about anything feel free to ask me!! I know this prolly wasnā€™t the clearest answer
