i can't get over john and paul using the other's signature for their own. the lennon mccartney thing from the very beginning was some sort of transcendental psychic pseudo blood-bond they made where every word one of them wrote equally belonged to the other. most artists strive to gain singular recognition but these two were more than willing to merge together into one creative superbeing. the attached signatures make that so literal that if this was shown in a movie or book it would seem on the nose. like okay. meld together your personal signifiers. be bound for eternity. whatever. i don't care.

For. Her. So yeah - sit with that for a minute. You’ve got time, because it may be a while before we find a natural-born leader who can navigate this hellish political landscape.

One thing that is a little annoying about the “where’s the Democratic opposition?” conversation cropping up in political media is that the fundamental premise of the question is “where’s the Democratic opposition now that we’re in the exact nightmare scenario that they warned us about?” And let’s think about that for *one second*.….. so Democrats literally… warned you….. that this exact situation would happen…. Hm. Remember the part where we did protest and vote and raise awareness and organize during Trump’s first term? And subsequently ran two campaigns with qualified candidates and good policies to counter the other guy running? And how our candidate who won undid all of the damage of Trump’s first term that he could? That was the opposition. That’s what that was!

So maybe give us like a second to regroup now that the American people have basically expressed that they either didn’t understand what was going on in the last election cycle or frankly just didn’t give a fuck, both of which are, in my opinion, unforgivably irresponsible. You’re a citizen in a country. You’re supposed to keep yourself informed. You’re supposed to pay attention, even when it’s boring. And you’re supposed to show up and vote. There are consequences when you don’t. So sorry, but don’t come crying to Democrats to save you (for at least the third time in recent memory) when you fucking voted them out of power! Actions have consequences. That’s what this is!

Everyone I know irl hates Colin but that’s fine, you do you boos, at least I adore a character who embraces his needs and desires, who doesn’t conform to male societal expectations, who wants to love and be loved and who adores and cherishes his wife, his whole world is her and it always has been. His love for her never came from falsities or anger, it came from friendship and in my eyes that’s more beautiful. Yeah sure, took him a while to realise but he just needed a lil nudge.
