tragic: i want to play the rautavaara flute concerto sooooooooooo bad but i don’t own an alto flute and would have to go searching for a rental over the summer which might be extremely pricey 💔

#it’s such a cool piece go listen to it #the solo part is for flute picc and alto (with optional bass flute but i unfortunately cannot play bass bc it is Too Big and hurts my arms)#(and also i suck ass at bass flute anyways even though i can play alto fine)#also i’ve barely played any solo alto flute music! i’ve barely even played alto in flute ensembles bc i’m always more of a piccolo person #but alto is so fun. and my shoulders are getting better to the point where i feel like i could actually play alto again #also fun fact i can only play curved altos because i am Too Short to play straight altos comfortably 😭#yeehaws
