Very cool that CPom have a strong artistic vision for their own skating, even if they have to waste time every off season twisting Scott and Madi’s arms until they agree to what they want to do! Perfume was inspired and their Carmen is off to a great start.

Makes me wonder if we’ll ever see their Rachmaninov II. Always thought that debacle was the beginning of the end for them with Igor, when they desperately wanted to do Rach II and he said they weren’t mature enough for it but then turned round and immediately gave it to Nyugen/Kolesnik.

CPom, if you ever read this, please opt for the dramatic Mao Asada Sochi cut of the first movement! Rather than the romantic second movement that Chock/Bates and Nyugen/Kolesnik did. I really think drama suits them better than dreamy at this point.

having a team of CPom's caliber is a huge responsibility for the coaches - they have to make sure the material they choose is going to serve them well in their trajectory. the team may know what they want to express, but they don't make the programs alone, so i think it's ok and even good if the coaches have to wrestle with it. and in this case, they had to convince Scott to revisit and rethink a piece he spent an intense year giving everything to. plus take time to figure out if the VM of it all would hurt CPom. idk, making sure that they all could do this justice - i think it's ok if he and Madi and the rest of the team took time to make sure they could be on board. Perfume turned out to be a great idea, but they first probably had to make sure they were on the same page and flesh out their vision

The intensity of his lavender haze met yours in an eye contact that lasted just a few seconds, but it was enough to make you stutter your first words. The guy in front of you cleared his throat, licked his lips and ran his hands through his silver locks before a charming smile appeared on his handsome face. A deep breath escaped you, before you smiled back at him in a less flirtatious and rather polite manner. 

He leaned over the frame of the door, crossing his arms in front of his chest and looked up and down at you, the file between your hands soon became victim of your sudden nervousness as your fingertips started to play with the corners of it. You felt the urge to turn around and escape, thinking that you might find another apartment that will be almost as perfect as this… but something within you made you stay.

“Hi,” you spoke first, softly and kindly, “is Jace here?”

“Who’s asking?” He asked back, arching his blond eyebrows and looking at the file in your hands.

“I’m y/n… I saw the ad online that said you were looking for a roommate,” you took a pause, waiting to see some reaction of realization on him, but you received no answer. “Jace told me to come today.”

“Oh, yeah, I remember hearing something about that this morning,” he nodded slowly, clicking his tongue before he stepped aside. Inevitably, you pecked through the space to the ample space behind him, and you couldn’t help but to love it. “Come in,” he said, “Jace and Aemond went to buy some food but you can come and wait inside.”

You blinked a few times, “Aemond?” 

“Yeah, he’s my brother, he lives here too,” he explained as you slowly stepped into the apartment and sighed. The intense smell of incense reached your nose while you looked around.

“Wait,” you turned to see him, “so there’s three guys living here?” 

“There were four of us, but our baby bro went to study abroad, and we need someone to help with the bills and all that shit…”

“Oh,” you simply said.

“Is that a problem for you?” 

He stood in front of you as you pressed your lips in a thin line. Then, you took the time to consider the options you had; live with three young guys you have never seen before, or return to your best friend’s house, who lived with her very-sexually-active boyfriend. It was one thing or the other, and the right answer was in front of you.

You shook your head, sighing as you purse your lips. “Nope,” you told him, “not a problem at all.”

“Great,” he said, “now, would you like a tour around the apartment while we wait?” 

“Sure!” You answered excitedly, a wide smile appearing in your face.

“I’m Aegon, by the way.”

“I’m y/n.” You replied with the same tone as before.

Aegon chuckled, “yeah, I know, you already told me. Now, come on, I’ll show you around.”

He tilted his head to sign the direction in which you had to walk. It was a small hallway that had five doors; three of them were rooms, one of them was the bathroom, and the last one was a tiny room that had the washing machine and the dryer. Once you reached the empty room, you looked around with dreamy eyes as you thought it was just perfect for you; the closet was huge, it had a lot of light for your plants and the space was more than enough for a king size bed. You started to dream awake, and, without even knowing the rest of the guys who lived there, you began to think about ways to decorate the space that could become your new room.

You looked at the door, where Aegon was standing, and you could not hide the enormous smile that appeared in your visage. He, on the other hand, remained serious, quiet, almost as if he was unsure of having you there. 

“This is amazing,” you said, “it’s so big!”

Aegon pressed his lips trying to suppress a smirk, for his dirty mind thought about the double meaning of your words.

“It is big,” he nodded. You didn’t hear the mockery in his voice.

“Are there other candidates?” You stepped a bit closer to him, “or am I the only one?”

“Uh… yesterday a guy came, but neither of us liked him.” 

“Why?”

“He was not what we were looking for,” he shrugged.

The main door was opened, and Aegon quickly turned to walk outside the room and into the hallway. Soon, two male voices were heard along with the sound of bags and keys falling onto a table. You peeked outside the room, leaning enough to see across the hall, finding two guys in the living room; one had long, soft-looking, silver hair, while the other had short and dark brown hair. You immediately recognized the brunette as Jace, the guy with whom you talked about the apartment. 

Aegon cleared his throat and soon the two pairs of eyes were looking at you. Aemond frowned, rolling his eyes with annoyance as he sighed.

“I told you not to bring them home today, Aegon,” he said sternly, “Lucerys will arrive soon and we don’t want him to see your profanity.”

It was inevitable for you not to frown, confused –and a bit offended– by his words, even though you were not entirely sure of what they truly meant. What you were certain of is that, by the look on his face, he did not want to see you there, which actually made you feel a bit bad. Aegon remained silent.

Jacaerys squinted his eyes as if he was trying to search for something in you –some clue about your identity, perhaps–, and a few seconds later his mouth was shaped in a circle as he saw who you were. His eyes widened and he pushed Aemond slightly, making a not-so-subtle gesture that you were quite able to perceive. He immediately realized what was going on and his eye looked at you with an apologetic stare.

“She’s not mine,” Aegon said, “I found her outside our door.”

“Don’t talk about her like a cat,” Jacaerys said, walking towards you. “Hi, I’m Jace, it’s good to finally meet you.”

“Same thing,” you replied politely, stepping out of the room. He stretched his arm to reach your hand and shake it.

“Come, let’s go to the living room so we can talk more comfortably.” 

You followed his steps, walking back into the living area. The smell of the recently bought Chinese food reached your nose and made your stomach growl. You tried to play it down as you sat in a comfortable chair right in front of the couch where the three men sat. Your hands were resting on your knees as you sighed, looking back and forth at his faces who were concentratedly staring at you. Jacaerys tilted his head, as if he was expecting you to say something first but you just remained silent. 

Aegon laid back, his arm hanging in the back of the couch as he clicked his tongue, seeming kind of bored, and before you could say something, Jace spoke,

“So, why are you looking for a new apartment?” He asked you, “are you new in town?”

Oh Gods, you thought. Now it was the time to tell them the humiliating story that brought you to this place, that made you look for a new home in order to move on. You opened your mouth, trying to force the words out of your mouth but they insisted on being trapped in your throat. You chuckled, a breathy laugh that showed your shame before you were able to speak.

“Weell…” you said, lengthening the syllable as you stared a t your hands, avoiding any kind of eye contact, “uhm… it’s- it’s actually a fun story,” you nodded, “I went to a trip abroad with my best friend, and when I returned… Uh… I found out that my- my boyfriend was kinda cheating on me.” 

A silence. The three guys stared at each other, and then Aegon was the first to talk.

“What do you mean with ‘kinda’?” He asked, “did he only put his tip on or-?”

“Aegon,” Aemond scolded him, “that’s not a fucking nice thing to say, the girl had just being cheated on. Have some respect.”

“She said ‘kinda’,” he shrugged, “I want to know what that means!”

“He fully cheated on me,” you explained.

Aegon nodded, “so that means he put his whole dick on-”

“Jar!” Jace shouted, “five coins, now.”

He rolled his eyes as he started to search for the golden coins in his pockets. Once he found them, he grabbed a jar in one of the small tables beside the couch. You squinted trying to read what the white tape around it said, and after a lot of effort —because the calligraphy was far from being neat— you managed to identify the words 'Douchebag Jar' written on the tape. You pressed your lips, holding back a chuckle; the jar was already half way filled.

“I’m sorry for that,” the brunette said, “and I’m sorry for what happened with your boyfriend.” 

“It’s okay.” You said softly. 

“So, are you currently working?” Aemond stepped into the conversation. 

“I am,” you said proudly, “it’s my first year as a teacher, so, yes, I am working.”

"That's good," Jacaerys smiled, genuinely, "do you have any pets?" 

“Used to have a cat,” you said, “but just like my boyfriend he found another owner and left me with nothing but memories.” 

“That’s depressing,” Aemond said. Jace gave him a bad look.

“Uh, are you guys siblings?” you asked, curiously, “it’s just that I’ve never seen people with white hair and now there’s two of you…”

"Just us," said Aemond, pointing to Aegon. "Jace is our nephew, but we accepted him because he helps us with the rent."

“I can help you with that too!” you joked, but none of them laughed. 

“Listen, we have to discuss our final decision, alright?” Jace said, “give us a couple of minutes. Guys, let’s go.”

Jacaerys excused himself, smiling as politely as he had been. You took a deep breath as they stood up and left the living room, walking towards a room at the end of the hall, which, thanks to the tour Aegon gave you around the place, you knew was the bathroom. 

Jace locked the door behind him, and immediately turned to look at his uncles, shaking his head. 

"Nope," Aemond muttered, "absolutely not."

"Why?" Jace asked, rolling his eyes, "she has a good income, in two years she will be earning more money than all of us."

"She's a girl!" Aemond said.

"So?" The brunette arched his eyebrow. 

"Aegon has the hormones of a fourteen year old," he screamed in a whisper, "if you get a girl in here, we'll have to find a bigger Douchebag Jar."

"I think Aegon is old enough to control his primal urges," Jacaerys defended him. 

"Is he, Jace? Is he?" 

"She's a good candidate," He defended you, "we might not have another candidate as good as her."

"The next candidate can be a man!" Aemond said. "Did you see the way he was staring at her? He was eating her with his eyes!" 

"He won't do anything, he'll know how to control himself," Jace told him, "he can behave."

"Why are you talking about me as if I'm not here?" Aegon interrupted the conversation, crossed arms in his chest as he leaned against the wall, "Look, I'm not going to fuck her if that's what worries you. We need the money, so…"

"So keep it in your pants," Jace finished his sentence, speaking sternly. It almost sounded like a threat. 

"I'll keep it in my pants," Aegon shrugged, "it ain't that hard."

"Promise it.”

Aegon frowned, "what?" 

"Promise that you won't try to- to…" Jacaerys struggled to say the last word without blushing. 

"Fuck her," Aemond finished. 

"What if she is the one that comes to me, huh? What then?" 

Jace scoffed, "please, Aegon, she seems like a smart girl. She won't do such a foolish thing."

Aegon looked at his nephew with a bitter stare, seeming a bit offended. However, he remained quiet, for he knew there was some truth in his mocking words. 

"Alright," he sighed, spitting in his hand and stretching his arm, "I promise I will never fuck the new girl. Let my cock fall off if it happens."

"Good," Jacaerys said, repeating the actions of the eldest and grabbing his wet hand, shaking it slowly. 

"Gross," Aemond muttered, disgusted. 

"So," Jace said, "shall we give her the news?" 

The three men stared at each other, and then, they nodded. Aegon was the first one to walk towards the door, grabbing the handle and opening it so fast that you barely had time to run away. He widened his eyes as you blushed, embarrassed for the position in which they had found you. 

You slowly took a step back, scratching the nape of your neck as you stared at your shoes, once again avoiding the stare of those three handsome guys. However, after hearing their final answer, you were trying so hard to suppress the giant smile that was threatening to appear on your face. 

"Were you… spying on us?" Jace asked. 

A sigh left your lips at the same time you dared to look up at them, all with furrowed brows; Aegon was the only one with a slight smile on his face, which gave you the confidence to explain yourself.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it," you said, speaking quickly, "these situations make me feel so anxious, I just needed to know you didn't hate me."

“We didn’t,” Aegon replied, “congrats, you are the owner of the empty bedroom.” 

You jump out of excitement and it was impossible for you to resist the urge to hug them tight. Your arms wrapping around Aegon’s and Jace’s shoulders as Aemond just stepped back. Soft little giggles of pure and genuine happiness were heard from you, as you thanked them over and over again. 

“I can’t believe it!” you squealed, “I swear it on the Seven you won’t regret this decision!” 

Aegon’s chuckle was heard right beside your ear, as he carefully placed his hand in your waist as a habit. You stepped back, still with that sparkling smile on you. 

“I hope you’re not making a mistake,” Aemond whispered to Jace.

“Nah, she’ll be fine,” Jace assured him.

They were so focused on you that they were not able to see Aegon’s face, and the quite peculiar way his eyes sparkled as you started to chant about the good news you had received. He pressed his lips in a thin line, eyes fixed on you.

He was ignoring the unbeknownst feeling growing inside of him.

Megamind Komahina AU (MegaLuck)

I saw this post on Youtube by @/Mcdonalds-Qiqi and I was like I should 100% write about this. And that's what I did. It's not done, like, at all, but it's prob the longest thing I've ever written (6000 words is a lot for me). I rewatched Megamind for it and that was a fun watch and YES this is 100% just Megamind but with Komahina flavouring so have a little taste with some scenes under the cut.

(Also this wasn't gonna be my first writing post but I mean I'm silly at heart sometimes yknow.)

If someone asked Komaeda how he was doing, he’d usually respond with “Fine, but I’m sure my luck will kick in at some point.” Had they asked him now, he’d say, “Ah, I’m fine” and not dwell any further on what would be considered quite an unlucky day. Alas, good luck will surely come out of this, even if his body is used as a vessel to do so. 

Falling from a high depth does not feel like flying. 

It just feels like falling from a high altitude, and an instinctive part of himself still wants to salvage this, remain alive even after losing essentially everything. He always loses everything in the end, doesn’t he? This is something he’s prepared for his entire life. Yet, of course, it still doesn’t seem to curb that jolt of displeasure that permeates through his body, the uncertainty in knowing that you want to cling and push everything away at the same time just to preserve your… emotions, fickle as they are. When it came down to it, he was lucky to live, even if that luck is substantiated by losing his parents and meeting the other that had everything given to him on a silver platter.

But he looks at his arm and only speaks to the metal that is there, the little characters on the screen being his only company. Everyone else stares at the teacher pointing at the board toward something he figured out already, when he last snuck a glance at it anyway. Now, he's left with his familiar position of facing brown wallpaper. It's a very boring brown. It's worse when he has to hear his classmates talking about him. They're all so void of doing anything useful.

"Can we pwease pwease pwease do something?! This is, like, soooo boring!"

The class hushes her, along with her fellow companion on the screen. Indeed, his classmates would be more useful in another way. They're so predictable.

In a quieter tone, the pink-haired girl looks up from the console in her hands to say, "You can go play the quiet game, Junko. That'll surely entertain you, I think." And immediately looks back down. Junko squawks her protests. He wonders if Chiaki is actually playing a game, or if the sprite's just for show.

Nagito hums. The AI instantly blinks at him, crossing her arms. "The fuck? What's got you looking so happy?"

"Hope is going to be plentiful today."

"What the hell's that supposed to mea-"

"Oh, you're awake." The voice says. 

Who...? "Leave me alone."

The person steps back. "Sorry, I'm not about to do that when you look that tired. Are you okay? You seem pretty out of it."

He stares outside. There's a beautiful moon out, and again, no stars. Typical. "...It's been a rough day." He cuddles the soft fabric closer. So nice and warm-

The pale man's smile turns serene. "Ah, I’m new, I started a while back. I’m helping Touko clear out some essentials since the building is getting renovations. It should be happening fairly soon, so let’s get out of here, shall we?"

"Really?" He doesn't recall anything like that happening, but he wouldn't be surprised considering Naegi is...

"Alright, I’ll come with you."

Unfortunately for him, Hajime only glares at him harder. "I will not fucking hesitate, you bitch! Let him go!"

Hajime’s taking quite a while. He doesn’t resent it, he shall wait however long he needs to, but this is a little unusual for him. If anything, Hajime’s quite punctual. He can’t even talk to Junko or Chiaki, since they seem to have closed off their connection with him.

The reporter finally shows up, a little messy. His ahoge is more limp than normal. He swiftly pulls the velvet chair to sit on. "God, sorry I'm late Komaeda." He huffs.

"Oh, it's no worries, Hinata-kun. I understand why you might not have wanted to come for trash like m-"

"No! It's not that!" He's quickly met with. The white-haired man easily smiles. So easy. The frown turns into a pout. "Oh, you're teasing me again."

"Haha, sorry. It's really fun." Hajime opens his mouth to protest. Ah, can't have that. "What happened?" He shoots out.

The other's mouth shuts closed. Olive eyes stare him down warily, and he tilts his head. The look is 100% his we're not done with this topic but I'm dropping it because you really love doing this shit, yet he really just wants to know what has Hajime so disheveled. If someone hurt him-

Hajime immediately dives into what happened within the past few hours, being tossed around by Fragment and how Fragment's his best friend while he's left with dread pooling within him.

"I love him, I do, but right now he really doesn't need these powers. The last thing he needs is another reason to feel perfect for Sonia. I’ve been trying to help him deal with rejection, but this really… really fucked with him. And shit went down."

I always have mixed feelings about Jedi!Leia, like, on the one hand, she’d be SO powerful, and that’d be so cool to see. Literally all I wanted as a kid was to see Leia kick some ass w/ the Force, AND SHE COULD. She’s literally the embodiment of protective instincts and justice. But on the other hand, she’d be SO POWERFUL, and Leia is... an angry person. She has every right to be, too, but that kind of thing doesn’t vibe well with ‘partially-trained powerhouse’. But then on the other side of THAT, her NOT using the force feels like denying an important part of who she is and what she could do, and Leia is the sort to do EVERYTHING SHE CAN for those she loves and feels responsible for.

Do you think she’d do the responsible thing (Anakin could never) and more or less give her powers a hard pass, or do you think she’d figure out some way to make them work for her?

There are a lot of ways to channel the force, right? 

Jedi Knights are trained in the most obviously badass methods, with the clearest physical impacts. But the jedi order had other branches (and I realize canon's probably a mess about those so good thing im overwhelmingly informed by fanon).

I think wanting to be a jedi knight is similar to wanting to be a firefighter or cop- it's a job that's description involves saveing people and ALSO comes with the chance to kick down a door. That's appealing, and necessary sometimes. But unfortunately not all problems can be solved by breaking a window dramatically with a chair, and fortunately there are other ways to do good.

So we've got medicorps- force healing and using that understanding of the living force to direct medical research.

Exploracorps- these are the jedi who probably use the force most in the way that untrained forcesensitives do, but on purpose. the successful spacers are the ones who listen to their 'instincts' and 'gut feelings' when 'something' tells them to drop out of hyperspace now or approach that stranger over there. There's an energy field that binds the universe together. People who listen to it when it's loud or follow it when its twisting around something are probably going to be more successful in general, and that edge is going to be most OBVIOUS in high risk professions.

We've got agricorps-  and kriff as someone whose done hands on conservation and farm work isn't that one dreamy. A trained jedi who can just reach their hands into a layer of soil and over the course of a year speed up nitrogen fertilization and healthy root growth and all those other things that might take a hundred years to make a noticeable impact DAMN. I'm not saying it's as cool as being a knight, backflips and laser swords are objectively cooler but it's definitely as HELPFUL if not way more so.

And then educorps and diplocorps right? That last one might be fandom so let's talk educorps- how do you use the force to teach? If i could read a kids mind to understand what they didn't understand sure maybe it would be creepy but it would honestly be more helpful and less fucked up then all the impacts of repeated testing! Do you have any idea how much less stressful your education would have been if you never had to take a test because your teacher just KNEW what you were struggling with and partnered you with another student and overt the course of a conversation it all clicked into place? If you could just clear the bad vibes out of a classroom with a wave of your hand when something scary happened in the community, allowing children in low income areas to critically think and learn without the interference of a prolonged stress response, thus giving them the opportunity to excel in the way their core world peers do? Karking one generation of psychically enhanced education, just doing that alone, could lift a planet out of institutional poverty.

And then diplomacy, politics. I'm not sure if this a cadet branch of the jedi order or LITERALLY their primary role prior to disenfranchisement and conscription. Either way it's leia's chosen profession pre and post original trilogy, and I'm gonna say she could ABSOLUTELY be doing that as a trained jedi.

Well as trained as any jedi can be at that point in the timeline.

There's one really good au out there about crechemaster anakin. And honestly? If you have severe trauma and anger issues, your culture should probs be encouraging you towards pursuing a career that does not include violence. Maybe before their numbers were depleted and conflicts became increasingly violent, the most volatile jedi were encouraged as far from physical ass kicking as possible, not out of exclusion, but because it's only going to make their problems worse, while creating brand new problems for everyone else. The tendency of the culture I live in to encourage people with violent tendencies to become cops and soldiers has CAUSED SOME ISSUES FOR EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE COPS AND SOLDIERS. Look there's no such thing as a rule that's perfect for everyone but as far as healthy outlets for agression go, vulnerable people in high risk situations are really low on the list. 

Yeah so jedi leia would probably be taught how to Not accidently on purpose kill people with her brain by willing their spaceships to crash into asteroids or screwing with their blasters in a firefight so they consistently miss, or all the other ways she unintentionally but gleefully force murdered people in the original trilogy. 

And then she'd be taught to use her skywalker-bullshit-level powers for politics. 

And holy SHIT.

Do you know how many problems are caused by miscommunication? In international security theory, rational actors pretty much ONLY go to war because of unavoidable communication errors. If you could have a trusted neutral party guaranteeing treaties with demonstable magic SO much less military spending would happen. I'm sorry but that is LITERALLY how the vatican became a political powerhouse. As it lost its credibility, so many wars happened. So many.

And that's just one of the big most clear cut things.

Domestic politics? Government reform? Jedi politicians would be INSANE. I - look.

When a policy workgroup is trying to make a change in a democratic society they genuinely try to use mind tricks. Fearmongering is the easiest- imagine if the nra was able to put a little force suggestion behind the idea that criminals were trying to break into your home and murder your family and if you give up your gun then only criminals will have guns. You're already scared- and now there's a supernatural element pushing it along. 

On the other side of the political spectrum, again, the most successful campaigns uh, also involve fear, the left is just less good at structuring the entire argument in those terms (shame is the more common go to). Pushing the fear that anyone could get sick and lose everything, even you. You could get cancer and lose your job and then you wouldn't have insurance so that's why EVERYONE needs government health insurance. Shaming anyone who does racist shit publically was so effective that racist people started getting so quiet that they accidentally raised way less racist children. 

A jedi would be unbelievably  effective with the 'negative' emotion public outreach, but that might be darkside stuff. 'righteous' emotion driven social change does happen sometimes, compassion is at start of most human rights movements.  

Tho not going to lie anger and shame is kindof what keeps those movements going so...

It was no surprise that everyone liked Seokmin.

Seokmin was a model student with constantly high grades who respected his teachers and peers. He was always the MVP during his baseball games. Not to mention his kind demeanor combined with his dreamy looks that made seniors, juniors, and batchmates, both male and female, swoon whenever he walked by. The boy's angelic voice that they got to hear during the school's annual music festival was a divine addition to his existence.

Everyone wanted to be his friend if they didn't want him to be their boyfriend.

But there was something Seokmin tried his best to hide from everyone: his shockingly low confidence in himself.

Even if his teachers told him he was the best, he felt as if it still wasn't enough.

Even if his coach called him "the team's most promising MVP", he felt as if all the mistakes he had ever committed made him less of a player.

Even if people praised him after every song performance, he would inwardly berate himself for not reaching the right notes.

And even if countless girls (and some boys) confessed their love and admiration to him, he always politely turned them down because he didn't think he was worth it.

In other words, Seokmin hated himself.

On one afternoon, Seokmin was feeling particularly down. His vocal practice that morning didn't go as well as he wanted and the last class happened to be the class that would give his dreaded quiz results back.

He tapped his pencil against the table, obviously restless, when the teacher came in with a bunch of papers in hand. She handed the papers to the class president who started going around the room and handing each student their respective paper. A glimpse of the red grading ink made Seokmin's breath hitch. The moment he got his paper he flipped it to the side without the score. He slowly lifted it to take a peek. A big red 95 was enclosed in a circle. He groaned in frustration.

I'm such an idiot. Why didn't I get a higher score? He berated himself inwardly. The boy didn't notice his seatmate peeking at his score until she gasped so loud that he jumped. He whipped his head in her direction to be met the most beautiful set of twinkly and surprised eyes he had ever seen. It took him a few seconds to collect himself. He must have looked so shocked because the girl immediately apologized.

"How do you always get such high scores? It would be a miracle if that happened to me," she exclaimed. Seokmin looked away. There was nothing special about his score if he couldn't even get that one simple question right. "It's not that high, i didn't even get the easiest question right." he grumbled as he folded the piece of paper and shoved it into his backpack.

The girl shook her head. "I beg to differ, sir if you get most of it right then one little question doesn't matter because whether you got that question or not you still scored high," she said sassily, waving her index finger in circles in front of his face. He smiled at her gestures. They had been seatmates since the year started and he realized that he didn't even know her name. He found it odd that he didn't notice her before.

She told him her name was _____.

And unlike Seokmin, _____ was confident about his talents.

Whenever he would bring himself down she made it her job to pull him back up. _____ would pat his back and pretend to award him a medal whenever he got back a quiz, no matter what the score was (though since this is Seokmin we're talking about they were never very low). She went to his baseball practices and cheered for his team during games. She stayed by his side when he practiced his song performances, calming him down when he got too frustrated in his voice and buying him lemon tea to soothe his throat and would sneak backstage to wish him luck even if she would always get in trouble. During lunch she would tease him endlessly about the number of juice boxes and cookies admirers would leave on his table, saying that he was basically a celebrity and should be paid for just existing.

To Seokmin's surprise, her encouragement worked. He became more positive and less hard on himself. The boy started to become more forgiving when he made mistakes and calmly start over or promise to do better next time. He liked it when she complimented him, encouraged him. To be honest, he liked just being with her in general. Her soft warm glow made him feel fuzzy inside. He liked himself when he was with her. She made him feel like he was enough. And that just being enough was okay.

Those kinds of compliments used to not work on him. It didn't matter who tried and how they did them, those kinds of thing just didn't work on Seokmin. So his friends, parents, and mentors were just as surprised as he was when they noticed him smiling at his quiz paper or being so calm after committing a mistake in practice.

There was just one problem.

His friend Mingyu was the one who pointed it out to him. The way he would glare at anyone she was friendly with and grit his teeth when he heard her laugh with someone else so he would try to take her attention. When he would shake his leg in annoyance when she was taking too long in telling the boy in front of her that he did well. He would stare at her until she noticed him or when he would be irritable during the days when she couldn't attend his practices. Seokmin couldn't keep his composure when that happened.

"You have a very serious disease, Seok," Mingyu said one day during lunch as he watched his friend stare at _____ from their table. "And what would that disease be Dr. Kim?" Seokmin mocked him, laughing. Mingyu looked him in the eye, serious all of a sudden.

"Jealousy."

Jealousy? Was he jealous? His mind went back to the times he would fight others for her attention. When he got annoyed if she looked at someone else. _____ was his friend not their's; of course he would be jealous.

The "disease" Mingyu had diagnosed him got worse when Seokmin and _____ finally exchanged cell phone numbers. A day didn't feel complete if he didn't receive a goodnight text from her or if he didn't get a reply after asking if she had already gotten home after school. He would smile at his phone so much that his brothers had started to tease him.

"Momma I think Seokmin has a crush on his phone." his baby brother Chan reported to their mother one night while they were cleaning up after dinner. She merely smiled and lifted the toddler to sit on the counter.

"You don't even know what a crush is." Seokmin retorted. The younger pouted and crossed his arms in defeat. "I know what a crush is and that is exactly what you have." their eldest brother Jihoon said as he entered the kitchen. The toddler stuck his tongue out to Seokmin who returned the gesture. Their mom gave the older boy a look that made him take back the action. As soon as she had gone up the stairs and disappeared into the master bedroom, Jihoon grilled his brother for information.

"Who is it?" Jihoon asked, he and Chan both intently stared at him. The poor boy held up his hands. "I don't like her that way."

Seokmin poured out his thoughts to his brothers, who were kind enough to just listen (though Jihoon had to cover Chan's mouth a couple of times to prevent him from interjecting). He told them about the day he first noticed her and the days that followed. The times he would smile because she complimented him. The days he felt like he was on top of the clouds with joy because she said that he looked nice that day. How he never felt that way when anyone else said those words but it was different when she was the one saying it. How a few seconds of looking at her made him feel funny inside.

As he talked, he began to realize what was happening to him. What that warm fuzzy feeling in his chest meant.

"Dude, I think I do like her."

Jihoon chuckled as he lifted a sleepy baby Chan from the counter, carefully cradling his brother in his arms. "Took you long enough."

Seokmin couldn't sleep that night. Why on earth would he like her? She just gave him compliments and smiled at him. There were a lot of other people who did that.

So why did he seek her attention?

Why did he feel so happy when she talked to him?

Why did he want her all to himself?

Why did he like himself better when he was with her?

He opened his phone and scrolled through her messages, unconsciously smiling. Mingyu misdiagnosed him, the disease he had wasn't jealousy. He knew that wasn't it. He had a different disease. But he couldn't quite put a finger in what it was.

On the other side of the wall, Jihoon had already figured out what was happening to his brother. As he tucked Chan into bed he smiled to himself. Little Seokmin was growing up. He walked to the door to turn off the light when he heard Chan moving under his blanket.

"Why is Seokmin always smiling at his phone?" the little boy said, sitting up and sleepily rubbing his eyes. Jihoon laughed and pushed him back into bed.

"Seokmin's in love."

a couple things to say about it: working class fam and her parents are def the kind of people who got married because there was a baby on the way and like whatever love they had for each other died within the first 5 years of their marriage even though they stayed married but like what are you gonna do though? though def did have an effect on yejin’s perceptions on relationships in the future bc her dad was not a nice guy and p distant and she probs like seeks out some sort of belated approval from her dad in every man she’s dated in her adult life while like living in absolute terror of ending up like her mom

she’s got an older sister who’s honestly a bit prettier and more like idk charismatic than yejin  and has a family of her own now and roots and stuff  and a place to call home by far BUT yejin was the talented daughter, the talent being she was actually p gifted at piano growing up and was so good she like earned her way into yego like yeah fancy fancy

though she’s done fuck all with that education as an adult bc she dropped out of chugye university like a semester shy of graduating simply bc “piano stopped being enjoyable”

and you know her parents who had so much pride in their daughter bc she was like “the one non-disappointing part of their marriage” were as u can imagine incredibly disappointed and tbh her dad still doesn’t talk to her bc he’s still mad at her decision and all the time she wasted but whatever long story short they cut her off even though they were never really providing anything to begin with but it’s symbolic or whatever 

and yejin decides fuck them, fuck everyone i’m gonna run off and create a new me only she’s broke so the furthest her money gets her is daejeon where she knows an old friend from school and like she def desires a more transient life like she wants to see the world! she wants to drink wine in paris and kiss her lover in the rain in new york and whatever but bills are real and life is expensive and she’s got nothing so she gets a job at a shitty airline as a flight attendant bc that’s the closest thing she’ll get to seeing the world which isn’t too bad bc sometimes she goes to japan or taiwan or china and sometimes even vietnam and thailand so she sees a little of the world even if it’s sometimes just from the bedroom of  shit motel

and like adult life hits her hard def not the stuff she dreamed about doing and seeing when she was just some kid in a dorm room in seoul but at the same time doesn’t really regret it bc at least she’s not miserable and losing passion for one of the things that really gave her the greatest joy in life and she’s like v much in charge of her own life or as much as anyone can be when saddled with like debt and a shitty job and living paycheck to paycheck but like she gets fun little souvenirs and knick knacks so alls well that ends well i guess

anyways still has like the same dreamy/romantic sensibility that told her “hey quit your nice fancy school that you’re only at bc you have a full ride scholarship! who needs a degree! go run away from your life it’s fine!” so basically she’s still and flighty girl who would rather run from a problem then deal with it properly but like she sees the world the rose colored glasses so that’s fun on a purely superficial level and is charming in it’s own way

Summary: Every year with Christmas Tom, his brothers, some friends and you rented a house in Scotland to celebrate the holidays and New Years Eve with a lot of friends. Last year’s christmas you and Harrison had something special going on, and this year he brings his new girlfriend. Chaos ensues.

Chapter one - Chapter three

24 December 2020

Your car looked lonely in the empty parking space next to the cottage. You and Tom were early to make the house ready for everyone. Decorating the house with Tom and Harrison was tradition, but Harrison couldn't make it in time so it was just the two of you. You took boxes with lights, food and drinks from your trunk. The whole car was stuffed to the ceiling with enough food and drinks for everyone who was coming, about 10 friends. 

"Hey dreamy! Could you get those light strings? If you hang them around the porch I‘ll take the beer crates inside," Tom said, waving his hand in front of your face. You laughed and got to hanging strings of small lights around the porch and fence. When you were done the whole garden lit up. In the meantime Tom had emptied your car. You walked into the house. The christmas tree wasn't decorated yet, but the house already looked cosier than before. Tom walked in, two beers in his hands. 

"A beer while decorating?"

"Let's first pick rooms. Is that okay? I want to have a good room if I am gonna be the only single lady this week," you laughed, taking the beer from his hands, "but I won't say no to beer,"

You raced Tom up the stairs, going left and opening a door. You threw your bag on the bed and sat down on it, taking a sip of your beer. 

"Okay you won," he laughed. The room you had claimed was the prettiest of all rooms in the house. It had an ensuite bathroom, and a balcony. A large queen sized bed made the dream complete. Most other rooms were half the size of this one, so you were always fixed on claiming it as soon as you arrived. Tom and Harrison usually shared the other master room next to yours, with two single beds, so Tom wasn’t really upset you beat him. He threw his bag in the room next door and raced you down the stairs again.

Decorating time had started, and you knew you were going to be putting up lights and christmas decorations for hours. All I want for Christmas came on, you started singing along, hearing Tom bring in the ladder and scream from the top of his lungs, singing the song you had heard four times in the car already. Nothing could beat christmas.

“Sam!” you hugged Sam tightly. You and Sam were close every year at christmas. Your shared love for cooking got you spending hours in the kitchen together, making two excessive dinners for the actual christmas days, but also making lots of snacks and often cooking supper for everyone. You had met over coffee a week ago just for planning meals and groceries. 

“Y/n! So good to see you. How are you?” he asked. You chatted lightly, helping him and his girlfriend put their stuff in one of the empty rooms. By five Sam, Tuwaine and Jacob had arrived, only Harrison and Harry hadn’t yet. Everyone was in their bedroom, unpacking their bags. You walked to your car to grab your pillow you had left in the car, when you saw Harrison standing next to his car. 

“Hey Haz, “ you said, waving with your pillow in your hands. 

“Hey,” he said. Damn he looked good. His hair had grown a bit since you saw him last time, half a year ago. It looked more like last Christmas. 

“I should go back inside, see you later,” you said awkwardly, and turned around hurrying back into the cottage. 

"Oh, this room is pretty!" You looked up over the bag you were unpacking and saw a pretty woman standing next to the door.  "I see it's taken. I'm sorry,”

“Don’t worry ‘bout it. There has to be an empty room left. You are Harry's girl right?”

‘No Harrison”s girlfriend actually,’ she smiled.  “Lily,” she extended her hand for you to shake, “you must be Y/n. Hazzi told me so much about you!”

“Oh, did he?” you said, shaking her hand, “I suppose only the bad parts. Please tell me everything he said during dinner,” 

“Oh I will! He spoke in detail about your talents for cooking,” you laughed. When she left you sat down on your bed, trying to oppress your laughter. How did he find her? You had never met someone who looked so subtly like you. The haircut, colour, her eye color, body shape… Yet there was something quite different about her. You remembered her calling Haz Hazzi, and you smiled. You were never gonna let him live that down. 

“Hey, so Haz brought his girlfriend,” you looked up to see Tom standing in your door, his pillow in his hands. 

“Yeah I just met her. So you came here to fix the bed situation?”

“Well Haz proposed swapping rooms, you and me sharing the double and them getting this one,”

“He can kiss my ass. No way I am giving up the private bathroom and balcony for his unprepared ass,” you muttered. Harrison wasn’t going to take your room, you weren’t gonna let that happen.  

“I thought so. So can you share your queen bed with me? I really don’t feel like sharing a room with them,” Tom said, already throwing his pillow your way.

“Sure,” you looked at your massive bed, “I think there is enough room for both of us.”

“What did you think of her?” Tom let himself fall onto the bed, sat up and patted the spot next to him. You sat down.

“Really Tom, I am fine,” 

“Okay, if you’re not you’ll tell me right?” he asked, eyes studying your face.

“Yeah Tom, I will. The only thing is,-” you hesitated, and Tom nudged you to keep talking, “Is it just me or does she look a bit like, well… Me?” Tom laughed a bit. 

“Yeah I thought so too. I guess Haz has a type,” you laughed too, giving him a hug. 

“Go get your bags, before I have taken up the entire closet,” you said. You were happy he was moving into your room. It was less lonely, and wasn’t that what Christmas was all about?

“Actually, I gotta do a last grocery run. Sam wanted a specific spice he hadn’t put on the list,” Tom said, making a funny face. 

“And you just go get it?” you rolled your eyes, “Well you do you,”

“Hey Y/n” 

“Jeez, should I put a non disturb sign on the door?” you muttered, looking up to see Harrison. ‘How are you doing Haz?” 

‘Uhm yeah,” he hesitated, “Great. How are you? How’s the bathtub?” 

“It’s lovely,” you rolled your eyes, “Tell me, you didn’t actually think I would swap rooms with you did you?” 

“No not really. I’ve known you for long enough to know you won’t give up your room because someone else was unprepared or unannounced,” he laughed. You smiled, glad it wasn’t as awkward as you thought it would be. 

“Well I just value my bathtime,” flashes of him fingering you in the bathtub last year flew through your mind, but you tried to ignore it. He hadn’t changed much since last year, but that was probably just the outside. 

“Have you met Lily?” 

“Yeah I have. She seems really sweet Haz,” you said honestly. “I am happy for you both.” 

“Thanks. I was afraid it was gonna be awkward between us you know,” he said. 

“Yeah me too. But it’ll be fine. See you later,” you hesitated, but then added teasingly, “Hazzi,”

“God isn’t that embarrassing. A terrible nickname, but she really likes it,” he laughed. 

You didn’t exactly know how many glasses you had of Harry’s “Christmas eve special”, but you knew you were drunk. It was one A.M., and you and Tom had been singing “Lonely this Christmas” from the top of your lungs, dancing around together, nearly knocking over the Christmas tree. Most were already to bed, but Harrison, Harry, Tom and you were still up. You broke yourself free from under Tom’s arm, heading towards the bathroom. You felt a hand on your arm and tried to shake it off. 

“Y/n,” were you mistaken or did Haz look completely sober? You apparently said that out loud, because he laughed. “Yeah I haven’t drank anything love,” You stepped back. 

“You don’t get to call me that anymore Haz,” you said, stumbling towards the hallway. “Go to Lily,”

“I just wanted to say that you look good,” you weren’t sure if you heard him right. Your head was slightly spinning, and somewhere in your mind you registered Harry asking if you wanted one last drink.

“What?” Your eyes half closed, you tried to focus on what Harrison said. 

“You look good Y/n. Happy, I mean,” 

“Okay. I am,” he kept his hand on your arm and you really needed him to let you go. You needed to pee. You wanted to have fun, not have Harrison make you sad. “I gotta go.” you said, shaking his hand off. 

When you finally sat down on the toilet you held your head in your hands. Being drunk around Harrison appeared to be a bad idea. When you made your way back to the living room he was gone. Only Tom and Harry were there, together on the couch watching The Grinch. Tom looked up when you came in and gestured beside him on the couch. You dropped your body down and took another sip of your drink. Stupid Harrison. 

Chapter three

Hii!! 🤎🤎🤎I am here for the game and i have some observations abouy your SR chart:

1. Your AC is at 29 degrees Taurus so your chart ruler is gonna be your 3 degrees Scorpio Venus which is in your 6th house(the house of service, routine, health). That means this house is the one you'll have to focus the most. I associate Venus in 6th house with the wish making your routine as "pleasant" as you can. Like let's say you work out(a "happy" planet like Venus in 6th house may motivate you to work out for feeling healthier and prettier)...with this placement you will want to get an aesthetic equipament and listen to music while working out. The venus in scorpio may indicate the style of the aesthetic and of the music you'll listen.

2. Your north node is in Gemini, in first house. So your mission this year is focusing in your person more. You will say that the chart ruler and this placement may contradict a little bit since 6th house is the house of service and the people you work with, but they do not, cuz as I said, 6th house focuses also in health. So these in combination, indicate that you will have to try to be your "healthiest" version.

Also, your NN in first house and chart ruler Venus in 6th house indicate for that your relation with your co-workers/classmates etc to be good for you, you really have to be your best version.

It is a good year for evolving yourself, but also your relation with these people.

3. The aspect that got my attention is Virgo Sun square sag moon...it will be hard for you to talk about your feelings.

I love your observation about the scorpio venus in 6th being my chart ruler, so 6th house and scorpio themes makes a lot of sense for this year. I'm very much an active person and into health so I'm honestly very prepared to step up that part of my life lol like you were saying, I wouldn't be surprised if I put a lot of effort into perfecting a "routine". I also wouldn't be surprised if aesthetics come into play with it lol I'll def keep an eye out for some of these because it sounds really interesting

I'm really interested in this NN in first for this year, I def feel like this next year is going to be very personal again much like this last year was for me too, but I like the possible observation that I'll have ease with other people!

The sun square moon is something a few people have mentioned and I've had my eye on, it's probs not... ideal lol but at least I'm aware of it

Mercury trine jupiter sounds great lol my mercury is natally in Virgo and Jupiter is my chart ruler and dominant planet so this sounds like a prominent aspect for me this year maybe, and with the 5th house influence it's very possible this will be a good year for inspiration and communication!

But I do wanna give you some support and just tell you that we all go through periods of life without a few, or no, friends. These are some really interesting rolls! I feel like they all compliment each other really well. When I think about each of these, they all give off a similar kind of energy relating to harmony and a kind of "easy-going" or free flowing energy. For questions like this, sometimes it helps to actually interpret the rolls as if that was an actual placement; so Pisces venus in 2nd.

I interpret this as, people might see you or feel your energy as someone who is maybe into aesthetics or has an aesthetic vibe or energy, something about you might be very dreamy to people and alluring. Or maybe you're easily likable, but sometimes people like this can be a source of jealousy for other people. Funny how we talked about NCT Hollywood yesterday and suddenly got a bit more info today lol The part about a new NCT U formation is interesting too. Sounds like a permanent unit, even if it's called NCT U? I don't really expect a whole album or EP from them because WayV, 127 and 2021 promotions will prob occupy fall-winter. Maybe a single, then they release more unit songs or join other temporary U combinations as part of the NCT 2021 album.

I wonder if the new NCT U will be a unit for Sungchan and/or Taro. It could be a vocal unit or a mix of existing members too. All is vague atm. Ofc, I do agree SM must have fixed unit(s) planned for Sungchan and Taro. It's just that, when can they actually find enough members (if not adding members from Dream or other units) and form the unit. I remember how Kun and Ten had no fixed unit for a long time. SM has plans, but the time they need to execute the plans is another thing.

I'm guessing, Taro will likely get to join a JP-based unit after the pandemic. I'm not too sure because they already have 127, but with NCT-H announced, SM might want to have local units in JP and US and let 127 perform there too since they have quite big fanbases in both countries. Yuta and Johnny can still be representative members.

I honestly think Sungchan will be for another SK unit. Sungchan might be able to join the JP one, but I doubt it because he's being pushed a lot in SK. To the point I think he might be a leader, considering all the years he trained. I don't keep track of full details on Sungchan's solo activities and don't know how popular he really is in SK, but even if he's not so popular yet, I'm sure he'll still get important role in his new unit. Center or face of the group at least. Or leader. Or even all of the said positions at most.

On the other hand, Taro barely gets SK activities and might be saved for the JP unit (or it could be, Taro's Korean is still a challenge for more Korean content).

Personally, I'm not 100% sure of fan speculations that Taro and Sungchan will be in the same unit. They debuted at the same time, are living in the same dorm with the Dreamies, but it might be like Woo, Kun and Lucas all over again.

NCT U new formation releasing a single and it being included in NCT2021 album (an EP is pretty doable) sounds plausible. If NCT2020 was designed to bring all the units together, make WayV officially part of NCT, NCT2021 is about SMCU. It was said that NCT's concept/universe will get more explanation (new nctmentary videos, hopefully?).

Just to remind you, that in 2018 127 had Empathy, Chain, Regular-Irregular and Regulate. And in 2019 Awaken and Superhuman in addition to the Neocity tour in the first half a year. (Plus Tae, Hyuk and Mark were involved with Dream and SuperM). Making albums is A&R and producers' problem, neos need to sing a couple of lines, and most B-tracks don't require choreos.

Fans having enough money is the bigger problem, lol. But with the lack of concerts and a few months of break between units' comebacks and NCT2021?

I doubt the new U formation will be permanent. This info just raises interest and makes people talk. Ten seems to be in it.

I've checked RV history yesterday. Some of their singles sold in millions. Maybe this new U will get to try to win over gp with a catchy songs as well to sell the song as a single before NCT2021?

WayV will be in Autumn, probably late Autumn. 127 is going to be before them. I still think it's July-August for them. We will know once Dream's repack promotion is over.

I still doubt there will be a Japanese unit soon. I'd bet if there is one formed in the near future, it will be through a trainee-selection programme on Japanese TV. Shota actively learns Korean and is very popular in SK.

Kun, WW and Ten had a designated unit from the beginning - Chinese unit. Not SM's fault the Chinese ban happened.

omg hi yes, i was lucky enough to score tickets to see superm last year, and i was right up against the main stage railing !!! 🤩 so ten made eye contact and smiled at me, baekhyun also made eye contact and smiled and waved at me (he’s my exo bias and i was like the heart clutching meme when he did that), i yelled “you’re doing great sweetie” when taeyong took a pause during commentary time and he said thank you 🤧, and god taem looked at me for a good 20 seconds smiling at me and i couldn’t handle it and had to blink and look away and he laughed at me 😔 akslhflakshdfla but oh my god, lucas is so goddamn attractive irl it’s insane, and ten is sooo so pretty like i didn’t even pay attention to what they were saying during the commentary time sometimes i was just staring at ten who was in front of me and i was the starry eyed emoji (baek and ten were right in front of me, lucas was next to them), and pictures don’t do taeyong justice at all like that man is absolutely ethereal ✨✨  also!!!!! seeing ten perform his solos, hearing taeyong and mark rap irl and of course BASS GO BOOM BY LUCAS BECAME MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WHEN ARE THEY RELEASING THAT SONG??? and i was in tears when taemin performed right in front of me like 16 year old me would be shaking in her boots if she knew she would see god taem in the flesh. actually current me was shaking askdjfhalksjdf i cherish all the videos i took so much (i accidentally deleted the entire jopping video except the mark rap part when i was trying to snip it to post to my insta story and cried rip 😭😭)

so this wasnt my original url I used to be wonboowoo cause I ulted seungkwan (boo) and wonwoo (won woo) but then I started to ult minghao so I added him in to get xuboowoo. the biggest part is I wanted to learn how to make and then share gifs within the svt fandom but I also wanted a place to interact with fans peacefully because the only other place I had been doing so was amino apps and people are SIGNIFICANTLY younger than me there for the majority and I had been made fun of for my age and liking kpop before there, tumblr is much more peaceful and friendly (and fck twitter that place is a cesspool I don’t partake in much fandom stuff there)

I was trying out themes that let me put pics in the sidebar and I wanted a really cool minghao picture but I ended up picking a layout where the picture is much smaller and when I saw that I was like ooo cool that could be my icon, I wanted a hao icon of some sort

none that I know the names of, I’ve argued with anons over voting and streaming culture (and will fight anyone on how stupid it is) and I argued with someone cause I said “I’m not a dreamie but this is so not cool” when I saw that video of renjun stuck in the rain without a car to get into waay back (that was debunked I think?) cause they didn’t like that I pointed out I wasn’t in the fandom (my point was that anyone can recognize the situation was messed up and I actually do like some nct dream songs so its not like I hate them)

How do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

ehhhhhh I kinda hate them? BUT I’ve used tumblr on and off for a looooooong time and seen SO MANY really stupid ones. I guess some political ones are good but idk, I know the intent is to spread info but I don’t see tumblr as an effective platform for that personally

YES !!I really enjoy tag games, they’re usually really fun ways to get to know the other ppl on the platform
