The autumn weather clear, there was a certain happening on this beautiful day.

Darius: Ah, miss fairytale keeper.

Kate: Hi, Darius! ...Did you need something?

Usually, he had a soft smile on his lips, so seeing him with his shoulders sulked was a somewhat rare sight.

His brows were furrowed, making him look a bit like a lost child.

Darius: Actually...

He seemed so serious as he opened his mouth that it took my breath away...

Darius: Today’s my birthday, you see.

But the words that came out were ones that wouldn’t have ever crossed my mind.

Kate: It is!?

Darius: Mhm... but both Nica and Ring seem so busy, I couldn’t catch them around.

D: My birthday’s finally come around, but unfortunately, it would seem that nobody is around to celebrate it, you know.

He was smiling as though nothing had ever changed, but——

(I imagine it must be pretty lonely to spend a birthday in a whole different country, so I would like to celebrate it with him if I can...)

(And besides, this could be an opportunity to get to know Darius a bit better too.)

Kate: Then I’ll celebrate with you!

I extended my hand to him, which he accepted in turn.

Darius: Really?

Kate: Really. Happy birthday, Darius.

K: If you’re alright with me, would you let me celebrate the occasion with you?

As our eyes met, his tone brightened, and he shook my hand.

Darius: Yippee, I happen to love birthdays, you know.

D: With everyone’s celebrations revolving around me, I can get a small taste of being the center of attention.

D: And besides, if it’s you, maybe this time will be special.

His gaze held a bewitching aura as he smiled...

(But, even though I said I would celebrate it with him, I haven’t really thought anything through...)

With my mind spinning, I continued to ruminate on what I could do to celebrate.

And then, suddenly, he spun me around.

Darius: Well then, we have a birthday to celebrate now, yes?

With his hands on both my shoulders, I was made to walk as he pushed me along.

Kate: Wait, but where...

Darius: We can decide that later. Just loitering around here anyhow could hardly be called any celebration at all, I would think.

And so, we boarded a carriage, and sat across from each other inside.

(In the end, I couldn’t think of anything even while we were walking...)

While I was racking my mind of things that he would probably enjoy, I felt my toes being prodded by another shoe.

And when I raised my head, there he was, a radiant smile playing on his lips.

Darius: You will keep me on my toes, won’t you?

Kate: Huh?

I felt as though those honey-colored eyes could see through any- and everything.

Darius: If you can’t, then it maaay or may not become an international problem, yes?

The next moment, the door to the carriage closed.

(O-oh gosh, what should I do...!)

The sudden pressure that fell on my shoulders made me almost break into a cold sweat,

and meanwhile, the man before me simply turned to look out the window, his expression remaining the same as ever.

Darius: I’m really excited now.

D: Don’t hold back celebrating, okay, miss fairytale keeper?

synopsis: psychology major y/n l/n finds herself in the same apartment building as her months-long crush, hitoshi shinso, when he moves in with mutual friends. what happens when classes start and the two psychology students are partnered together for a semester-long project which will decide whether they pass the term?

you meet ochako outside your shared apartment building, your eyes making out her soft brunette hair. You bound up to her, your messenger bag knocking her canvas one. 

“y/n!!” she greets, her lips breaking into a grin as she offers you a side hug. the two of you head in the direction of the school, the distance only being a 10 minute walk. you both walk side by side, giggling and chattering away as the walk began to feel exponentially shorter.

the two of you arrive at the university library, walking in through the automatic doors. ochako’s telling you about the time all her roommates tried (and failed) to make a dozen cupcakes for izuku’s birthday before you feel a firm shoulder crash into yours. you feel ochako’s hands gripping onto your arms to steady you before she whips her head around to tell off the man, but before she can the violet-haired boy is already opening his mouth, his eyes locked on you.

“i’m so sorry, y/n, are you okay?” shinso asked hurriedly, his hand hesitantly sticking out to steady you if need be. you turn to face him, your lips quirking upward.

“oh yeah, no big deal shinso,” you say, waving a hand to bypass the subject. “what are you doing at the library?” you blurt out, your hand fidgeting with the strap on your bag.

“just trying to get some peace and quiet, and then shoto texted me saying he found sugar’s throw up so i was rushing out the door and knocked into you, which i am still sorry about.” he explains, his hand coming up to rest against the side of his neck. “what about you?” he asks, his eyes peering at you through the curtain of mauve hair partially blocking the upper half of his face.

“me and ochako were just checking out the textbooks we’ll need for the next semester, but don’t let me keep you! you should go and check on sugar,” you say, a worrying undertone highlighting your voice as shinso laughs softly.

“yeah..” he says softly, his eyes having an almost dreamy haze over them before he blinks, “yeah, i should. i’ll see you later?” 

“yeah, for sure.” you say, nodding as he gives an awkward wave and walks out of the building. you turn to look for ochako, your eyebrows furrowing as you notice her absence before seeing her over by the mulitude of textbooks, her eyes locked on you as a grin encompasses her features. you bound up to her, your grin matching hers as she bites her lip.

“soooo,” she draws out, her body leaning into yours as if you’re telling her some big secret. you roll your eyes, turning your head to scan for the textbooks you need.

“let’s just get our books,” you say softly, she giggles before turning to look for her own textbooks. the two of you quickly locate and check out all of the books you needed, but the library won’t leave your mind even as you unlock the door to your own apartment.

It’s almost Otoyas birthday in my time zone, time for some birthday head canons

Otoya did not tell anyone it was his birthday. Like he just didn’t. So randomly in December I bet that Barcha was like

“Otoya seems to be a good mood today”

And then he just didn’t tell anyone why.

And then he’s hanging with Karasu in the cafeteria and Bachira pulls up like

“Otoya! What’s the event today??” And then Otoya just finger guns him and in the most monotone voice he goes

“It’s my birthday today”

And then like everyone goes quiet and Karasu just smacks him like

“Ya didn’t tell me yer birthday was coming up!”

“ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY?” And bachira is like really excited and stuff and he’s celebrating like

“Hioris birthday just passed and now it’s Otoya! Yippee!l type shit”

And hiori hears this and he’s like

“Wow our birthdays are so close together.”

Meanwhile Karasu is slightly overthinking cause what do you mean I didn’t even get my best friend a gift?

And Otoya is like really chill about it cause he genuinely doesn’t care since all he really wanted to do with chill with his best friends.

Of course, Bachira makes a whole scene about it and now everyone knows.

(Moral of the rant since I’ve suddenly lost motivation)

Karasu is very flustered since Otoya somehow knew when his birthday was and he feels really guilty he didn’t get Otoya anything.

So Otoya just says “just spend time with me dummy” cause that’s all Otoya really wants.

Beneath the Ice, Beneath My Skin (Teen and Up, 9,984 words): My first fic! An alternate version of Ice where Mulder is actually infected by the parasites. Paranoia and tension ensue!

Flight and Sanctuary (Teen and Up, 6,656 words): Scully and Mulder deal with the aftermath of Irresistible. Lots of angst, lots of worry, lots of hurt/comfort. As of the creation of this post, this is my most popular fic.

Salvation (Teen and Up, 7,599 words): Mulder’s perspective during his missing scenes in The Erlenmeyer Flask, followed by how he and Scully cope with the trauma. Very angsty featuring some torture. 2 chapters: one during the episode, one after. The chapters can be read individually or together.

Save Me from the Fire (Teen and Up, 5,672 words): An alternate version of Our Town where Mulder and Scully switch places. Very tense, but also very heartfelt and tender (I hope). A personal favorite of mine.

Piece Me Together (General Audiences, 3,147 words): Scully takes care of Mulder post-731. Introspection and moments of extreme proximity ensue. Probably the most introspection-heavy fic I’ve written.

Caught on Tape (Teen and Up, 4,044 words): Scully finds tapes that Mulder made for her while she was abducted. Very emotional, almost pure angst with a bittersweet ending.

I Hate All of My Habits, But I Happen to Love You (General Audiences, 5,066 Words): A series of vignettes depicting Mulder’s internal monologue throughout some pivotal/my favorite MSR moments, as he slowly realizes he’s falling in love. This fic was a birthday present to myself:)

Raise Your Voices (Teen and Up, WIP): My ongoing multi-chapter fic in which Mulder and Scully go undercover in a community choir. Set in Season 2, featuring lots of fluff, humor, angst, hurt/comfort, and little tidbits about folk music from all corners of the world.
